White Trash or Redneck?

I say this is just plain ol' redneck since everyone was decently dressed, the kids wore helmets, I saw no pit bulls or guns and there was no beer in sight.  However,  I know that to many, the line that blurs redneck and white trash is pretty fine so this video counts.   Besides, it just looks like way too much fun to not include.  :-)   There's not much point in guessing on this one since it's pretty obvious,  but I'll not give it away in case someone misses the big clue.  Enjoy!

And please....remember to help Chris.  One more month and he'll be in a far better place if we can just get him through this month!

(edit:  I just realized that the "big clue" isn't obvious here so guess away!)

at least the kids were wearing helmets!

Good morning!

Deb - we went out to the reservoir here (Koocanusa - it's something like 76 miles long, starts in Canada, comes into Montana, has a big dam at the west end that's a power plant) and the Forest Service puts on these "stations" for the kids. One station with a 'mountain man' who showed them all the things a mountain man would have had to survive, what role they played in the settling of this country (beaver felt around here) shows them all about that. Kids *loved it.
One station where a forest ranger shows them about how trees are measured and the statistics of how they estimate board feet in a particular area, etc. Kids were a little hard to keep on track.
One station where three high school boys had set up little courses that the kids went through with compasses (25 paces west, 15 paces, 340 degrees SW, etc.) Some kids liked it, some kids were pacing, so to speak.
One station with an archaeologist who had a bunch of indian artifacts and such. Most kids liked it.
Lunch by the lake. Water snakes everywhere. Best part of the whole field trip for most kids. :-D

Okay, off to school and later to (hopefully) pick up Blue. Will take some pics if that comes to pass.

Hmmm.. I'm seriously not sure. Um. I might say SW. But I could very much be wrong.

Lisa said...

What tipped you off that it could possible be SW, Kay?

Lisa said...

*possibly, I mean.

T@iy@ said...

I want to try this. :D

Deb said...

RiM - that sounds like a great trip! well, except for the snakes - could do without *those slimy things.

Anonymous said...

Is that really a Daisy's family?

Life full of bRATS said...

The accents.

Angie said...

It's sooooo not SW, Kay. I'm sooooo not outdoorsy, have no kids, no helmets, no truck liner, no good ole boy. Guess again!

Angie said...

Okay, just watched it. Definitely southern, but not Texas, so that means it has to be Jill, right? Jill, is it you?

twirldawg said...

That would be my husband's family. I'm taking the video.

Erin said...

Lol, Jill. It looks *really fun!

Robin in Montana said...

Jill -- hee! That is totally something that would happen around here! Looks fun. :-)

There's a big rodeo at the end of August called the Bull Thing complete with a 'dirty dance' in the arena afterwards. After mucho beer there is a very non-organized, non-any-sport-sanctioned "cooler race" down the big hill behind the arena. There could easily be casualties.

Angie said...

I win I win! It does look like fun!! Was that in Alabama then? I know his Mom lives here.

Robin in Montana said...

Hey, my horse is a celebrity. His picture is on Craigslist. He's on the far left of the first pic. :-D

twirldawg said...

SW that was at his aunt's house. They live in the same county as us.

Deb said...

Jill - that is hilarious. I loved how it seemed to aim the kids *at the big tree at the bottom of the hill.

RiM - question is, do the coolers still have adult beverages and ice in them, or empty? That could affect momentum.

Robin in Montana said...

Deb -- Probably by that stage in the game, mostly just ice and residual water. Also, it appears that styrofoam coolers do not compete well.

. said...

Sledding with no snow! That's hilarious.

Deb said...

If anyone cares, I have some photos on my blog from the Blue Angels yesterday.

Robin in Montana said...

Beautiful pictures, Deb!

Angie said...

Robin, love your famous horse! I like white "Black Beauty" marks on horses.

Muliebrity said...

RiM, I love that horse!

Robin in Montana said...

Mulie and SW -- thank you. :-) I love him, too. Big dork that he is. I wish I could find my old pics of him when he was hurt and had Kotex strapped to his head with pink vet tape. :-D

Deb said...

thanks RiM - it is truly a thrill to see them fly.

TV trivia - when the graphic designers for LOST were creating a poster for the final season they included a picture of a cast member whose sceneds ended up on the cutting room floor - look at my blog and see if you can figure out which star it was.

Anonymous said...

sceneds = scenes... take two!

Life full of bRATS said...

Hmm.. I sort of feel like talking today, would you guys be ok if I just, talked a bit?

Deb said...

Sorry Margaret - not a Lost fan here so I would have no idea.

Kay - feel free!

Angie said...

Margaret, that was way too easy for a hard core Lostie! But I won't spoil it for the light weights. :-)

Kay, go for it. We need a conversation sparker!

Angie said...

I don't wanna see the kotex pictures, Robin. I like him beltless and blood free!

Life full of bRATS said...

I doubt I'm much or a sparker, mostly I just feel like saying that.. I'm scared, life for me is scary on a near daily basis. Many days I'm gasping for air, or shaking because of my meds. I spend more of my life in a hospital than out, and I keep hoping and wishing something, somehow, will improve. And it does, don't get me wrong, but as soon as I start seeing a positive test result I end up in volume overload with high blood pressure, spend a week in the hospital worrying if I'm going to be on dialysis this time. I have a seizure and wake up in a hospital and part of me just, sinks. And mostly, I don't feel bad for me. I feel bad for my family, I feel they deserve a better mother, wife, sister, friend. Then I am capable of being. All I ever feeling like saying when I inevitably wind up in the ER is, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Sorry for babbling, I just needed to get all that out.

Lisa said...

I see Jerry!! I have sort of a horse-crush on Jerry. *nods*

Good powers of deduction, SW!

Deb, I love the Blue Angels and your pictures were great!

Kay, talk on, please. :-)

Lisa said...

Kay, what your family needs is you. Not you with the label of wife, mother, sister or friend...just *you. And as long as they have that, they're fine, I promise you. But I won't pretend to understand how scary and frustrating this all is for you and for them, too, although I know to a lesser degree. I'd be scared in your place, too. I think anyone would be and probably very, very tired, as well. But please know that as long as they just have you with them, they're going to be fine and you don't have to be filling any particular role.

Lisa said...

So, guess what, chicken butts? The trench for the ambient water feature is gone. We filled it in today and while the dirt will still settle and need filled in more, it's looking more like a normal backyard in need of landscaping now, instead of someone's dirty little secret. If I take pictures, would anyone want to help me with some clever and cheap ideas?

Life full of bRATS said...

Ap, I LOVE sod. I say throw just piles of sod everywhere...

Angie said...

Afternoon all! Or few, considering the number of posts recently. :-) I'm checking in at my lunch break. I've been more productive lately and staying away from the internet. If I can continue this trend, I might just save my career. Fingers crossed!

Kay, I'm so sorry that things are hard and scary for you. It's not fair that you have to live this way. I'm completely sure, though, that your family wouldn't think that there is a better mother, wife, sister, or friend anywhere. There is no substitute for you.

AP, farewell to the trench! Hooray!

Lisa said...

"Ap, I LOVE sod."

Lol, well there's a statement you don't hear often! Kay, my backyard is too shaded for grass to do well. Shade friendly plants should thrive, though!

SW, I'm hoping for the saving of your career. I need to you keep me in the lifestyle to which I'm accustomed, although come to think of it, you might be able to work at Walmart and do that.

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, for those who wanted to see, I have a new blog post up with pics of the new horse, Blue, and a token picture of Jerry for AP and her horse crush. ;-)

Lisa said...

I love Jerry muchly. Isn't the way his blaze drips down his nose just the cutest thing ever? Kaytie, he's all accident prone like we are, too. He's one of us.

Robin in Montana said...

Kaytie - it's true, he is a bit on the clumsy side. He spent most of his third summer at the vet's office. I think they have a wing named after him there now. lol. He can't help it. It's hard to be tall and "ugly beautiful" like they talk about on ANTM all the time AND graceful all at the same time.

Lisa said...

ROFL! Did y'all read this? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/25/no-latinos-no-tacos-flash_n_589258.html

Please tell me I'm not the only one who laughed here. :-D

Robin in Montana said...

I would *never laugh at anything inappropriate. ::avoids eye contact::

Angie said...

Kaytie? Is Kaytie invisible? ::looking around for Kaytie::

AP, re our planned union, I'm not gonna lie: I'm having second thoughts after the whole you-hated-the-Lost-finale thing. There's something wrong with you if the dog laying down by Jack didn't move you. I've got some thinking to do...

. said...

AP: What about astro turf (is that how it's spelled?)? Then you could still keep the white trash vibe going.

Afternoon all. My head is spinning from how busy we've been. The "100 day of May" is almost over. My little kinder had his last day today, Thing 1's last day is tomorrow, half day. I don't think I'll even get out of bed on Friday.

How is everyone?

. said...

Loved the poster, Margaret!

Angie said...

Oooo, Astroturf. I approve. ::nods:: Hi Tara!

. said...

Hi SW! Has your Lost depression lifted yet?
Who are you calling to win AI tonight?

Angie said...

I wasn't depressed, Tara, just moved and in need of a good cry about it. Crystal should win. But I won't mind if Lee does. Crystal will be able to break into the industry whether she wins or not, she's fantastic.

. said...

I think Crystal is going to win and she deserves to! I won't be upset either if lee wins, he's great as well. I just think Crystal has more talent.
I'm certainly not going to watch the entire 2 hour finale! Thank God for the DVR!

. said...

Awesome. We're under a tornado watch until 9pm. The sky is very dark and ominous and it's thundering like crazy!

Robin in Montana said...

I don't care if Lee or Crystal wins -- I think they're both deserving, and I think either way they both have a career in front of them. That said, I do think Crystal did better last night.

*That said, I will firmly deny getting all teary-eyed about Simon's last critique ever last night. That show will never be the same without him.

. said...

RiM: I totally agree with you on Simon. It's been slowly going down hill since they added Kara. The 3 of them just worked, why did they have to mess that up?

Robin in Montana said...

Tara -- and you know they'll put some bonehead inthere who will totally try to act like Simon and it just won't work. It's going to jump the shark, I think, after this.

twirldawg said...

I think I read somewhere that Howard Stern was in consideration for replacing Simon.

Robin in Montana said...

I read that, too, Jill. That would be wrong on so many levels I wouldn't know where to start.

Angie said...

I think Howard would be an interesting choice. Controversy = ratings. Have you been having fun today, Jill?

Has Taiya checked in today? Mulie was here this morning. We need our PG girls to stay close to home.

twirldawg said...

SW I took a long nap, nothing exciting :)

. said...

I really hope they don't bring on Howard Stern. Like Simon has said himself, they need someone that can be honest like him, but that also know what they're talking about. I think Howard Stern would be a terrible person and I don't think I'd watch if he were the replacement--I really can't stand him.

Lisa said...

"AP, re our planned union, I'm not gonna lie: I'm having second thoughts after the whole you-hated-the-Lost-finale thing. There's something wrong with you if the dog laying down by Jack didn't move you. I've got some thinking to do..."

It's okay, I get it. The whole emotional, weepy thing is hard for me, too. I'll let you make this call. We can stay friends and all though, right?

God, I love Tara's astroturf idea!

Angie said...

I just read two scathing reviews of SATC2. I knew Ebert's would be bad. He hated the first one. But EW's review was also bad. I might wait for video.

So I'm hyper-emotional and you're unemotional, AP. Sigh. It seemed like a good match at the time. (sniff)

Angie said...

I used to hate hate hate Howard Stern. Then I watched him for a while when his show was on TV, a few years back. He's horribly offensive, but he's also very smart and funny. I ended up not loving him but not hating him anymore.

Lisa said...

I am *not* unemotional. Not at all. I just save it for people I love and animals...and then I'm picky about sharing it. :-P

Howard Stern bores me. It's the same stuff, over and over. Kind of like AI. :-X I did watch it for Paula, though, but once she left, it didn't hold my interest. And while I really like Ellen, I do not like her on AI.

. said...

AP: Ditto on really liking Ellen but not on AI.

What's SATC2?

Really Frugal said...

I'm not going to be a good daisy tonight. Completely exhausted from working outside.

Kay, I am so sorry for your suffering. It screams unfair. You sound like such a loving person and I know it must hurt to not be able to give as much as you want to your family.

AP, your response to Kay is one of those things that lets your soft and very, very smart side leak through the tough girl persona. Well said.

I like Ellen. Even on AI though her musical knowledge is limited. And she is so beautiful. Much more so than a few years ago, I think. Her eyes could make me reconsider my orientation.

Angie said...

I like Ellen, and like her on AI, and RF completelhy agree that she is so beautiful. When she smiles and those blue eyes light up -- it's really special. She is a light.

Muliebrity said...

Kay, Listen to AP. She is spot on.

Angie said...

SATC2 = Sex and the City 2

Muliebrity said...

Of course it's going to suck, SW!

Angie said...

Well, I'm a fan of the series and liked the first movie, but this one sounds not good. Not a fan of the show, Mulie?

Who's watching AI finale tonight?

T@iy@ said...

I am around, SW. No Eeq yet. Just hanging out in the heat. Right now we are watching The Princess and the Frog with DD in the a/c. :)

Kay- AP said it right. Your family just needs you. Try not to add the stress of trying to be everything, when all you need to be is you! (((hugs)))

No input on the shows as I don't watch any.

RiM- I love *both* of your horses! :) Jerry has such a great face!

Angie said...

Okay, I'm liveblogging Idol, but won't spoil the ending. Crystal looks cute dressed as a Facts of Life girl.

Angie said...

Oh, they're all dressed like Facts of Life girls! I get it!

Angie said...

Simon retrospective is cute.

Angie said...

Sioban and Aaron Kelley in a duet? Odd pairing, but not terrible.

Angie said...

BeeGeees!!!

PJ said...

SW - I'm watching along with you.

Angie said...

<<-- checking to see if this no banning thing is for reals tonight by annoying everyone with AI liveblog

Angie said...

Woohoo! I'm not alone! Hey CK!

PJ said...

I like Ellen on AI. She is a bright light.

::once again agrees with bleeding heart liberal SW::

PJ said...

Hey SW - just woke up from my Wendy's Chocolate Coffee Toffee Twist inspired carb coma. That combined with a late night last night.

Glad to join you.

Angie said...

:-) CK

Last time I've got to watch Big Mike perform. I'm not a fan. His performance style annoys me.

PJ said...

Esp on this song. I did like some of his stuff, but not consistently.

Angie said...

::perk:: Chocolate coffee toffee twist? Holy crap, that sounds good. Is there ice cream in it?

Angie said...

Either AI's having audio problems or the old dude singing with Big Mike is having voice issues.

PJ said...

Starts with a chocolate frosty. They mix in crushed heath bar and coffee syrupy flavoring stuff.

PJ said...

Taking bets on Simon shedding a few tears tonight.

Ha - Simon Says.

Angie said...

OMG, CK. That sounds crazy good.

PJ said...

White trash on stage.

Angie said...

OMG! Some guy on AI just had a Kanye moment and took the microphone and started yelling at Simon. Did not look planned!

Angie said...

Rewinding for another look.

PJ said...

Was that Shannon's midriff?

Angie said...

Well, it was definitely partially planned. Apparently some really bad auditioners from the past were invited on stage, and one decided to grab the microphone and try for 15 minutes of fame.

Angie said...

LOL CK!

PJ said...

Husband has asked that I stop live blogging (is that what we're doing here, SW?) while we eat dinner. Back in a few.

Angie said...

I'm calling it live blogging, CK. I'll hold down the fort while you're gone. Remind hubby that I'm his biggest daisy fan, and maybe he'll let you come back soon.

Angie said...

I'm liking the girls singing "Beautiful." Some of the outfits aren't great though.

Angie said...

Someone needs stronger spanx.

Angie said...

Xtina!

Lisa said...

Whoa, shit, child support is going something *huge* with my case. They just tacked nearly $4,000 onto the (incorrect) arrears amount, which is something I gave up getting corrected some 5 years ago. He's noq $16,300+ in arrears, which is accurate. Plus, they'd told me I had to go to court to prove Jake was homeschooled in order for support to continue after 18 (he's not slow, his birthday fell funny!) and I refused...told them I would not since they couldn't get my ex into court for anything. Hell, it's not like I'd ever see the money anyway. Note on my case now? Our *judge has noted CS will continue until Jake is 19, regardless. Oooh, and now *our court, not a TN court, is enforcing it again. Man. This is exciting!!

Angie said...

AP, holy moly! That sounds terrific!!

Angie said...

So if Florida starts to enforce, are they better at that than TN courts? Because in some places deadbeat dads go to jail for nonpayment. I've wondered how your ex gets away with just not paying.

twirldawg said...

I'm catching up on episodes of Real Housewives and picking out books to read now that I have the time.

I'm not into AI, but I always like to know who wins these things.

Angie said...

I've never seen an episode of Real Housewives but it sounds like something I'd like. What are you going to read first, Jill.

Hall and Oats are on now. I'm liking the performers tonight.

Really Frugal said...

AP, will you be throwing a trashy Daisy party to celebrate? With those coffee toffee things CK talked about and Sangria?

Too tired to even focus on AI. Big Mike already has a career going, though not a huge one. I like his voice but not his attitude. There were times I thought he might win, but then he started thinking so too.

Angie said...

Alanis Morrissette! Jagged pill was one of my all time favorite albums!

Angie said...

After an iffy start, the Alanis/Crystal duet kinda rocked!

PJ said...

I'm back - we eat fast around here.

The Dog got some of my leftover snake (that's what we call steak).

::I'm his favorite::

Crystal and Alanis - mmm....

PJ said...

AP - good news on the CS. Hope they can collect some it.

Angie said...

I had to rewind that and watch it again, CK. It wouldn't be easy to hold your own with Alanis.

PJ said...

SW - husband says to me "blog away".

PJ said...

SW - Mole wants to know what he looked like in your dream.

Really Frugal said...

AP. How's Jake doing? Young love can be so painful.

Angie said...

Lord, I wish I didn't have to watch stupid campaign ads during the commercial breaks. This is why I rarely watch things in real time. We're having some nasty races here.

PJ said...

SW - Crystal did. I thought it was a great pairing.

Angie said...

CK, he had dark brown hair, real fixed like. Kinda Peirce Brosnan-looking. Suave. Hot.

Angie said...

Is that close to right, CK?

Angie said...

I want Carrie Underwood's body. Or her voice. Whichever.

PJ said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Angie said...

I can do gray, CK.

PJ said...

He's smiling again, SW.

Who needed spanx earlier?

Really Frugal said...

I can do Tom Selleck.

Did I just say that?

Angie said...

I like sunflowers too, but wouldn't want them on my car. Or plaid either. Odd, that.

PJ said...

Hi RF!

PJ said...

SW - you'd want daisies.

Pretty blond guy -

Angie said...

I don't remember her name, CK, but the young African American top 12 finalist had a pretty major muffin top, but not quite at the top.

Angie said...

I can't do Tom Selleck, after the whole NRA thing. ::shaking head sadly::

PJ said...

I'm glad Crystal has a bit of excess above her bustier. Makes me feel better about my own.

Angie said...

Bret Michaels! I've become a fan of his via Apprentice. He seems like such a nice guy.

Angie said...

Casey is outsinding Bret though, don't you think?

Angie said...

AP, are you going to come back and tell us more about your good news?

Angie said...

outsinding = outsinging

Really Frugal said...

Hi, CK.

SW, I was only speaking physically about Selleck.

I think Bret has a pretty good excuse for being outsung, no? I can't believe he's even there.

I would love a car with sunflowers. Or Daisies. But it should be a VW van, circa 1966. With a matress in the back.

Lisa said...

SW, FL enforcement sucks...it's actually some of the worst in the nation. TN may possibly be worse, though. The way it works, I can only deal with FL CSE and they deal with TN CSE...I can't deal directly with TN. So I've have two shitty enforcement agencies doing pretty much nothing and blaming the other. It supposed to be out of our judge's hands, anyway, once turned over to the state. I think what's happened is with Jake's birthday coming up, they're trying to tie up the cases for good in our county court system and this got spotted. It's definite;y not a state action.

A Daisy party, if anything comes through? You better believe it!

And RF, I guess he's okay. He was less bitchy today, anyway. He and his painted on eyebrows are at a friend's church tonight, playing. The acoustics are good. :-)

Angie said...

Yup, RF, it's pretty remarkable he's still standing.

Nice van! Do you remember when Bill Clinton got in trouble for a funny off the cuff remark he once said about having an El Camino with a mattress in the back?

Angie said...

I was so in love with a guy with an El Camino in high school. Lordy.

Lisa said...

"I would love a car with sunflowers. Or Daisies. But it should be a VW van, circa 1966. With a matress in the back."

Will you share with me? My best friend's sister had one with flowers painted all over it. And she wore white lipstick. I thought she was the coolest thing *ever..still do. :-)

Really Frugal said...

Chicago!!! Playing in the VW.

Angie said...

Chicago! It's a good AI night for middle aged women!

PJ said...

AP - I missed the young love drama. Are you willing to recap?

Re: Wendy's Frosty - coffee toffee - you have to specify chocolate ice cream, otherwise you get vanilla. Not.nearly.as.good.with.vanilla.

PJ said...

I had three albums as a teenager - Chicago, John Denver, Carole King.

PJ said...

I'm thinking we won't be seeing John Denver anytime soon.

Angie said...

CK, that's cool. Rocky Mountain High!

Ah, special Mother Daughter look between Lori Laughlin and her daughter.

Really Frugal said...

Husband drove an el camino when we were newly weds. I drove the red camaro convertible. They both disappeared with the birth of our first.

When I finish painting my van, I'll head down and take you on aroad trip, AP.

Lisa said...

CK, he was just a total little bitch yesterday and all secretive, not taking her calls and worrying her to the point she had mutual friends calling here, worried about him. Which worried *me, in turn. Teenage drama.

twirldawg said...

I'm not a fan of El Caminos. I always equate them with white trash.

I loved Jagged Little Pill. It came out at the height of my teen angst phase.

Really Frugal said...

I was huge fan of Denver. The assistant manager at the Shultz Bros. five and dime where I worked looked just like him.

Angie said...

CK, in Alabama, child support gets taken out of the paying parent's paycheck directly. Does FL not do that, or is he just not officially working?

Angie said...

Pants on the Ground!!

Lisa said...

Thank you, RF. I'd like a roadtrip! And when I got married in 1990, I was driving a 1972 Dodge Charger. Jake's dad was driving a 1969 Charger. I wish I still had that car.

Angie said...

VW van makes me miss Lost. Sniff.

Really Frugal said...

Jill, I guarantee in 1972 El Caminos were cool. Not as cool as Camaros, but cool. Of course that is from a white trash perspective:-P

Damn, I just got Pants on the Ground out of my head from the last time I heard it.

Angie said...

Pants on the ground number was better in theory than in reality.

Lisa said...

I think Deb's husband looks like John Denver. :-)

SW, I have 2 separately issued garnishments, one in each state...he simply doesn't bother telling employers about them.

Angie said...

The first time I smoked pot was in the El Camino with my high school pothead heartthrob. Sigh. Diary of a Madman playing in the background. I've loved Ozzy ever since.

Angie said...

AP, let me know if my questions annoy you. (Can't be more annoying than my liveblogging though, I'm sure!) But can't someone other than your ex notify his employers about the garnishments? It isn't an honor system, is it? Or does he change jobs a lot?

Really Frugal said...

The idea of Pants on the Ground is something I heartily support. Especially after yesterday when I walked behind a rather rotund young man (probably college student getting ready to move). He was wrestling a rental carpet cleaner back into the store while his mesh shorts slipped progressively lower, reveling more and more of his very dirty boxers. Not pretty.

Angie said...

Yikes, RF. I am really baffled by the pants thing. Wouldn't you think that would go out of style eventually for the guys wearing their pants that way? But they aren't giving it up?

Angie said...

Paula's back!

Life full of bRATS said...

Hey guys, and thanks AP. I'm currently trying to listen to music and relax. I really do love sod too, something about grass in sheets to me is magical. Always loved the quilted look, reminded me of the view of a farm community from an airplane.

Mulie- I certainly will listen to Ap.

Kaytiej- HI!!!

Jill- I want to go truck liner sledding now.

PJ said...

AP - damn teenagers - passive aggressive and all. My 20 year old too.

PJ said...

Is Paula totally bombing or is it just me?

Angie said...

Seriously, are Kaytie's posts hidden from me today? I searched and she hasn't posted here today, but people are referring to her posts.

What music are you listening to, Kay?

Angie said...

Paula was very awkward.

PJ said...

Hi Kay - nice to hear from you.

I'm not seeing Kaytie either.

Angie said...

Totally took me a minute to recognize Kelly Clarkson.

PJ said...

Is that Kelly Clarkson?

PJ said...

Ha.

Angie said...

Taylor Hicks and Reuben Studdard, two Alabama winners! Take that, you other states!

Really Frugal said...

Was Paula impaired once again?

Hi, Kay!

Angie said...

Okay, getting teary seeing all the contestants from the past. (Sorry AP)

twirldawg said...

You have to know the super secret password to Kaytie's posts.

Kay it does look like fun doesn't it.

The guy in the second clip that goes surfing is my bil and the girl at the end is my sil.

I had to deal with pants on the ground on a daily basis. I don't get the point, you look like an idiot.

PJ said...

Is Daughtry up there?

Angie said...

No Daughtry, no Glambert. :-(

Jill, thanks. Now I'm paranoid.

Life full of bRATS said...

Right now it's Good mother, by Jann Arden. And I love it. But also, the riddle by five for fighting. 10,000 miles by mary chapin carpenter.

Really Frugal said...

sibon, or whatever it is, will be one of the losers that has a pretty decent career, I think. I love the quality of her voice.

PJ said...

Wireless mic and hand held mic?

::embarassed to admit i don't know her name::

Mary Chapin Carpenter makes me cry. Not that I cry a lot. AP just has me paranoid about it.

I haven't heard of Jann Arden.

Love Mary Chapin Carpenter. Good for the soul.

Janet Jackson?

Janet Jackson?

PJ said...

SW - you and I are a pair tonight.

Angie said...

Is Janet Jackson a bigger star than all the other singers? She got a prime spot. I'm not a fan.

Angie said...

LOL CK!

PJ said...

SYTYCD preview?

PJ said...

Oh, just more Janet.

Angie said...

I don't know, I think a Janet Jackson retrospective seems out of place.

RF, I love Sioban's voice too. If not her name. It freaks me out because it's hard to spell and I never pronounce it right the first time.

PJ said...

I like Sioban's voice too, but she wanders quite a bit with pitch issues.

Right now my favorite part of the song is

"I have money in my pocket, I like the color of my hair, I have a good mother and her voice is what keeps me here. Feet on ground, heart in hand, facing forward be yourself."

Angie said...

I think it sucks that AI won't let Lee and Crystal sing one of their original songs.

PJ said...

Crystal sure looks like she's having a great time.

Angie said...

Kay, that's a lovely lyric.

I don't remember any other finalists who seemed to so thouroughly like each other. It's nice to see.

Angie said...

<<--doesn't recognize the old guy Joe Cocker?

Angie said...

I'm supposed to know who that old gy is. I hope he doesn't have a heart attack.

PJ said...

Putting the mic on the stand seemed to throw him for a bit.

::knew it was Joe Cocker cause Crystal introduced him. I'm quick like that::

Angie said...

I like how that lyric counts the good things, Kay. That's a good practice to have. I tend to count the bad ones and fail to recognize the good things.

Angie said...

LOL CK! Missed that - doh!
