Sunday morning - time for church!

Everyone got their pantyhose on?  Close your eyes and let the preacher's words roll over you.  Feel the spirit of God in your soul.  Or not.  ;-)

Back to see what kind of fun I missed.

And what kind of damage you all did.

We finished watching Defending Your Life with Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep. As youngsters. (at least compared to me).

Mulie - you're on SNL. Census taker extraordinare.

Awww... Betty White has cotton candy hair just like my mom did.

First Mothers Day without her. Playing the pity card.

The lights are on.
The sitemeter is full.
But no one's home.

Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.

Night too Daisy friends, and a Happy Mothers Day to all mom's - even mom's with the furry kids! Internet has been in and out today - high winds and chilly! Megan and Ri and Meg's step sister spending the night tonight, and bbq at a metropark is on the agenda for tomorrow if it doesn't rain and isn't freezing out! Have a great day!

And Thanks for posting my furry grandkids AP - Will get better pics of the kittens with their eyes open this week and do a little slide show like Robin did with her garden, which Robin - by the way - I loved those pics!! Jealous of your green thumb!!

Goodnight!

Happy Mother's Day FRIENDS. I'm up early with my little snuggler. She made me a beautiful poster complete with three happy butterflies. I put up a pic of her poster on my blog :)

Good morning, daisies. Hope everyone has a great Mother's Day.

I don't know if anyone else here has a child who has died. But if you do, I'm especially thinking of you today. For those of us in that situation, it can be a difficult day. (NOT looking for sympathy - just stating a fact.)

And if you haven't gone through that particular nightmare but know someone who has - maybe you could give them a call or send a quick email and let them know you're thinking of them? They would appreciate it a lot. Just a thought. Not meaning to tell anyone what to do so please don't take offense, okay?

Anyway, I do hope that everyone has a wonderful day! Will try and pop back on later today. Y'all try and behave! (Like THAT will happen!)

Good morning, Daisies. {{{Jae}}}, I'm always so glad to see you here and my heart is with you today. You, too, {{{CK}}}. I hope the day passes gently for both of you.

Nothing big planned here - I'm getting my new-to-me a/c put in and we talked it over and decided to be lazy today, so Miss Arse is coming down later and we're getting Subway, plus I made a big 'naner pudding. I feel sort of bad - she loooves reading and hasn't been able to read easily for years, so awhile back, assuming her eyes would be repaired by now, I got her a nice crockpot cookbook and (sit down, SW and CK) Mark Levine's Liberty & Tyranny. I'll still give it them to her and hopefully she'll enjoy looking forward to reading them. Anyone doing anything exciting today?

Corinne, how's your grandma?

Oh, also, this was an interesting little read, I thought...Raquel Welch talking about the pill and its impact on society. I agree with her on it all, both the good and bad aspects. What do y'all think? http://www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/05/07/welch.sex.pill/index.html?hpt=C2

Morning lovely Daisies (excluding Mulie).

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

We're going to the Church of the Vile (showing the final episode of Adventures in Root Vegetables), picking up one adult girl child, then getting ready for our Mother's Day celebration. The rest are coming around 5:00.

Thanks for the hugs, AP. Hugs to you too, Jae. My sister has lost two children, so hugs across the miles to her, also.

AP,
Can you read to Miss Arse? I did that with mom and she loved it.

Really good read - plus there are links to other articles he wrote on related topics.

"Morning lovely Daisies (excluding Mulie)."

Once again, the victim is being put on trial. That's what wrong with America today. At least I could be judged by a jury of my peers, NOT wretched old daisies.

In other news, AP, let me know of your mom would enjoy any books on tape. I used to work at Recorded Books and have a collection I need to disperse. I believe there may even be some Glenn Beck... And some Dean Koontz, if you want to give her nightmares.

Thanks CK!

AP - I'm an old fashioned girl. I never "slept around" and know that a lot of my friends who did paid a high price in the way they felt about themselves or the ramifications on their life. I worry about my daughter growing up in an age when nothing is really sacred anymore.

Off to become beautiful for gathering with the liars, cheaters and sinners. Even though we're evil on the inside, we try to look damn good on the outside.

I hope you have the best day ever, CK!

I just received 24 long stemmed roses from proflowers.com! It also came with candy and smelly bath stuff. I can safely assume the money I earned yesterday, paid for these flowers. Oye.

"Can you read to Miss Arse? I did that with mom and she loved it."

I could but she'd hate it. She'd say it made her feel handicapped and she'd get all pissy. Her eyes will be good soon enough, or at least good enough to read. She'll just have to be patient. :-)

Calvin, that was an *excellent* article. Thank you!

Margaret, as old-fashioned as I can be, I only grew into that within the last 20 years or so. I had my share of adventures and part of 3 other people's when I was younger. I can honestly say I don't regret most of it at all. That said, the attitudes today shock even me a bit and mostly, they sadden me.

Lisa said...

Mulie, I'm not sure to be happy for your flowers or not. Just enjoy them, they're there now. :-)

Hi Daisies! (ok......and hi "gay-sies" which I am only saying because my brother insisted, and is in my ear saying DON'T CENSOR ME!)

I didn't see Taiya on the sat nite post.......did her little preggo bod finally decide to make with the baby already??

Happy mother's day, everyone.......Chris and I gave mom & grandma necklaces with Margaret's handmade glass charms.....and you guys, they are gorgeous!! Thank you so much Margaret, they both love them=)

The kittens are looking adorable, of course. Which reminds me.........have ya'll seen the story about the two white tiger cubs that were rejected by their mother? They are seriously the cutest little things I have ever seen. right now the article is way down on the front page of huffingtonpost.com They are being hand raised by surrogate "parents"........and they are just so precious it boggles the mind. Chris said they even made *his ovaries hurt.

I hope everyone is having a great day........happy mother's day, lovelies=)

Morning Ladies

Elisabeth Tayia is doing everything she can to squish my attempts at starting a rumor that the baby is coming....she pops on every so often to remind me she is still with child LOL

I am enjoying them! I went to the proflowers website and they were about 1/2 to a 1/4 of what I imagined them to be, so I can enjoy them now and not feel guilty for making my husband buy me some dark chocolate strawberries later. I guess they were watching "Sprout" yesterday (a cable version of kiddie PBS) and saw a commercial for pro-flowers and got the idea to order them. They even got a discount using the key-word "Sprout."
