Good morning! Sorry for the late post. I took an...umm...extended nap last night.
Can you guess whose little gem of a window shade this belongs to? In fairness, her husband did it so she really can't take all of the credit. I asked her about rain...she says it has to be replaced after it rains. Well, alrighty, then! A little clue who she is? She's not one of the most prolific posters here but she's definitely a regular *and it's someone I'd have never thought would have anything to contribute. Have fun and have a great day! :-D

LMAO.
Morning ladies. I'm off later for my mom's mandatory family fun day. My youngest sister is in town and I haven't seen her in two years.
Morning, Jill and have fun with your sister!
Rhys, you, too...have a wonderful time with your mom!
Elisabeth, I'm so sorry y'all had a rough night but that call Chris made? Cracked me up. I'm glad yo uwere able to find a little bit of humor in the night. And for the record I've seen the booty pop commercial and flat-assed me? Wants one. I have to tell you, I think this commercial possibly out-white trashes the booty pop one, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gw1g2yKxb0I
Okay, I've only got a couple of more pictures so please, send in any you want to share or this idea is fixin' to be history pretty soon!
Well who doesn't want to have a stuffed bear motorboat them while they drive?
Does the mystery white trash husband know that he can put plywood over that window?
Mulie, I'm laughing about him putting it on the outside where it gets wet instead of on the inside where a $5 miniblind would hide it from view. Then again, I put contact paper on my utility room window (on the inside, thank you) so I'm sort of an expert on these things.
Jill, motorboating? Once again, I've learned a new term on Daisy.
CK......in order to do stand up, I'd probably have to consider getting off my ass and actually STANDING UP. But thank you. I
AP.........*you, flat of derriere?? NO. That is a damnable lie!
Just a general FYI.......I finally used my Christmas iTunes card and bought the new album by Jennifer Knapp, "Letting Go".
It is *amazing. Can't recommend highly enough. For those who may not know, she was the darling of Christian music about 10yrs ago...Grammy noms, dove awards, sold out tours.......you name it. Then came the rumors that she was gay. The rumors became SO aggressive and all consuming, she suddenly just left the music biz AND the country......for 7 years. Nobody heard a peep. People talked about her as if she were Hoffa.
Anyway now she has come back, come out, and released one of the most amazing CDs ever. I hope some of you check it out.
Oh and HERE's a psa for the masses.....
If you are on huffingtonpost.com and you see the headline about the bullfighter....DO NOT OPEN the article!!!! Trust me.....the photos are *so bad, you will hate yourself for looking. Trust me=(
<------Going to look at Huffingtonpost.com article
elisabeth
i am so glad you guys got some laughs last night. you needed those. they can really bust up the stress. i learned that watching silly and frivolous things with Rock was a good stress buster, those and high adventure movies. we usually watch foreign stuff, and things that make you think. hope today is peaceful for you
Holy disgusting! Bull gets revenge!
Morning all! I saw the Huffington Post article and it pissed me off. Not because the bullfighter was gored, because I hope every bullfighter is gored, but because it showed a bloody bull. Bullfighting pisses me off big time. I am for the bull every dang time. Does anybody know if the bull survived? I think if the bull "wins," he should get to retire.
Once again - I'm with the lady on the left - why kill the bull, he was only doing his job. I'm also against boxing and cage fighting.
At least boxers and cage fighters get a choice! I think they put the bull down, right?
"AP.........*you, flat of derriere?? NO. That is a damnable lie!"
It is not. It's bad. I think it's 'cause I sit on it so much.
I love how Elisabeth said not to look and Mulie immediately ran to look...lol. And I'm with my dear SW on the bullfighting thing. It's cruel and disgusting.
In agreement with my daisy sistahs re. bullfighting.
You provoke it into a fight and then as a reward for doing what YOU want it to do, you stick a sword thru its heart?? No.
But those pictures are still horrible. Some things are just not meant to be processed by the human eye. It'd be like seeing a baby with a bunch of lil wayne-esque face tattoos.
Good morning! I'm (surprisingly enough, given the rest of my white-trashed/red-neckedness) against bull-fighting, too. Cool but nasty pictures, though.
I have my very own little bird story here and will try to put up some pics later.
Off to shower.
Blogger is being weird
Good afternoon!
I hope you are all well today. I was trying to do more garden stuff, but the rain has decided to fall again.
My bird story: The robin's nest on our arbor that I mentioned? The one I made Mark fix the netting under it because Mama Robin did such a half-job? Well, the kids were in and out of the gate so much I kept checking on them. Sure enough one little one was out of the nest. Lucky for him he was sitting on the netting! So got Mama Robin out of there, got Mark to help me get the little guy back into his nest. Which, was no easy feat since the nest is in a very dense trumpet vine, and I could barely see the nest to scoot him back in! At least I could see there were 3 of them in the nest.
Now I'm on constant check for them. I took a pic of them in the nest, I'll see if I can get it posted for you to see!
Elisabeth,
You can do stand up sitting on a wooden stool.
I'm watching Sex and the City reruns and cooking today for Lost night. Just made a roasted red pepper sauce and an ancho chili cream sauce. Next up is cleaning mushrooms, and let the gloating begin: this time I'm washing 'em in water.
I can't stop sneezing and my face feels itchy. I think I'll go get a pedicure.
SW, Washing mushrooms? Talk about a flip-flopper. What's next? Glenn Beck for President?
cough mulieisabitch cough
SW - When's dinner? Ancho chili cream sauce...yummm!
I am ignoring your washing your mushrooms because I know commenting on it will only make AP gloat more :-D
Passing Mulie a kleenex. It is a known fact that pedicures are a cure all for sinus problems and facial itchiness.
Deb - You are such a *vile birdie momma! Hope the little ones stay put in the nest - that was a really nice thing you and hubby did. Are you feeling better?
How is "Cone of Shame with a Drain" doggy doing? Poor thing.
What's for dinner?
T-Bones (our black angus, grain fed, no hormones)
Lightly oiled and garliced, then grilled.
Ceasar Salad with homemade dressing (have to use up these eggs)
Steamed asparagus.
Off to make the Daisy Cinnamon Rolls for dessert.
Have a peaceful, fun Sunday everyone! TTYL!
Yum, Kaytie! I'd rather be at your carnivore's dinner than my vegetarian one! Except for Lost night, I mean.
SW - I'd rather be at yours! Your sauces sound delicious. Are you going to do the mojitos?
I am rethinking putting garlic on before grilling - I think it will burn.
Kaytie - thanks - I love animals! I am actually going to apply for my yard to be a wildlife habitat, really. Dog's ear is still okay, definitely not collecting as much blood as it was, so that is good for the healing.
Fish tacos here for dinner - using grilled mahi.
SW - dinner at your house sounds great again - shall I call Erin to see if she's ready?
Mulie - sorry about the ichy-sneezy's. Pedicure is a great idea to take your mind off of it though!
Deb - What a great idea! If you do get it, do you have to go through all the permit stuff to do any changes to it? Not sure how it works.
Kaytie - Here is the info, it's really not that difficult to do:
http://tiny.cc/pjk9f
That is cool Deb! I thought it was like having your land under Wet Lands regulation and you get so limited and regulated with what you can do. This looks like a great resource of information to build and maintain your habitat! Good luck!
Deb - that is very cool! Also, I want fish tacos, although I'm happy with dinner here, too. Babyback ribs, corn on the cob, and pasta salad.
I had more I wanted to say, but I forget now.
I will try and post a pic tomorrow (do you guys do it in Photobucket?) or else put it on my blog, for my bird story. But my bird story is, every once in awhile a bird gets in our chimney, eventually falls out into the woodstove, Kelly grabs it and puts it outside. Well, today a bird got in their, and over the course of an hour or so, s/he makes its way down the chimney, scratching and trying to get out, etc. I keep kind of tapping and thumping on the pipe to get it to come on down. When I did that I noticed there was a weak spot in the piping, pointed it out to Kelly, we discuss that the pipe will need to be replaced before we need the fire again next winter. Go on about our way.
Come back in a half or or so later and Kelly yells for me to come and look. That damn bird must have seen a little ray of light or something because it started pecking the pipe from the inside, and had a hole big enough to stick its head out of. Kelly bent it back and got it out, and all is well, except the big hole in the pipe now. :)
"Next up is cleaning mushrooms, and let the gloating begin: this time I'm washing 'em in water."
You got to thinking about the "sterile medium", didn't you? :-D
Dinner here is tacos, not fish but a choice of beef or chicken, with all the trimmings and a devil's food Bundt cake straight out of a box. I'll melt some canned frosting for glaze...whooo!
I finished painting my computer room today and went to Walmart, which was insane on a Sunday afternoon. I'd really love a nap but Lost is on in little over half an hour!
Robin - That is wild about your stove pipe bird! I bet it was a mess to clean up, too!
AP's gloating SW :-D
What color did you paint your office? Walmart on a Sunday? Oy!
And do we get to guess who's blind that is?
AP, the crimini mushrooms had an unusually large amount of sterile medium clinging to them. That's all. I didn't wash the oyster or shitakes. They just looked so clean and delicate, I couldn't bring myself to. :-)
Off for Lost night. Hope we like it, AP! And Karen! And whoever else loves Lost!
need to stop itching and sneezing. HELP!
Mulie - I am so sorry. Can you take some benadryl?
I just don't even want to talk about Lost, I'm so aggravated and disappointed.
WTF? That answered very little.
<<--completely satisfied with Lost and going to bed to have a good cry about it
<--- can't wait till tomorrow to watch AP and SW duke it out about Lost.
Prom this weekend, Spring Fair at the elementary school, and I am ready for a quiet Monday!
SW, for real? Then explain the hieroglyphics to me. And who built all that crap there? And what about Walt? And that's just for starters. How did Jin suddenly lose all traces of his accent in this episode? And let's not even talk about the blooper re: Kate's dress there at the church. And so at the end, Jack met Dog instead of God when he died? Oh, ffs.
Son of a Bitch! I thought they said they weren't going to to this?!
What, Mulie?
At least I called Jack's wife! And I called the ending 6 years ago!
Awww, jeeeez. I just realized, I'm sorry...I was just so damn pissed off. But for what it's worth, weirdly, you'll still be surprised with a lot. And I'll hush now.
End Lost like they did.
Oh, thank God, I thought I ruined it for you. Yep, you called his wife and everyone and their brother calling the ending 6 years ago and the writers SWORE it wasn't true.
No, I watched it. I thought it was good until his Dad walked in.
Damn LIARS!
I was okay-ish with it until that point. I was still optimistic for something good. I knew then it was shot to hell. So, basically, it was just another show with a predictable ending and we all got had for all these years. Fuck.
Lost!?!? WTF was that. It was a cliffhanger to the last 15 minutes. Really.
I'm so pissed I'm going to bed. I want my 1 night a week for 6 years back.
Right, AP. Half of it was heart warming flashbacks! What about effing Walt? Remember how he was so valuable? And why put some people on the plane with the others?
I'm with you, Sandy. I feel like we all got conned. Learned my lesson about getting tied up in a TV show...
And Dahrma? And people not having babies?
And polar bears?
What about Whitmore?
What happened to Richard?
Desmond wasn't on the original flight.
I will say if they came out and said all those people were aliens, *that would have pissed me off even more.
I thought Walt was going to be a big part of tonight. Apparently they on;y needed his dog. And what the hell was that all about with those flashbacks of last season, when Jack had the beard and drank like a fish? He was with Kate in those, so where the hell do those fit in? And Rose and Bernard? They stayed on the island so Rose's cancer wouldn't kill her. So, what? Where the hell are they, *really? I didn't see them in the church with the others. Oh, uggggghhhh.
There were in the church.
I think Rose and Bernard were there.
I think we got six years of black smoke blown up our keisters.
Okay this time I am out. I'm exhausted. Another busy day around here.
I'm out too. Between Greys and Lost I have lost too much sleep over tv.
Hubby's opinion:
has realized that after following a show for almost 6 years, that my life really has no reasonable sense of meaning. People make a shitload of money by making people think endlessly about something that really means nothing...
*cries* I hadn't even thought about Dharma and polar bears yet. Or Richard. Desmond, though, was already dead, I guess, when they got there. But why was he in charge of gathering them and why did he run John Locke over in the parking lot?
hubby cont:
life is meaningless, and it's all because of a stupid show. Hence the name, we are all really just Lost with no sense of direction or meaning. I suggest everyone drink the magic koolaid and hitch a ride on the next available comet.....fuck it!!!
I supposing that now that I'm in hell, I might as well find another tv show to watch to pass the time here... damn it all!!!
AP, Desmond ran John over so Jack would "remember".
Okay, I missed Rose and Bernard, then...at least that's something answered. But why was Desmond punching in numbers every little bit? Just so, so much not explained. :-(
Desmond was the constant. That's all I got.
But Sandy, in the end, it was Kate that really got him to remember. Oh, hell, I don't know. I just know it was a 6 year lie and I'm mad.
Why couldn't the writers have just not commented on the ending instead of just lying?
Lost creators in 2005: "We can't tell you what the Island is, but it's NOT Purgatory." Lost finale: "It's purgatory!"
I just watched Jimmy Kimmel and feel no better about it all. I think they were all laughing at us.
I'm getting ready to put a new post up...not that anyone even tried guessing but the purty window up there belongs to Christy. :-)

Yes, you said this...
