Cute, CK!

Shannon said...

HAHAHAHA French

PJ said...

Shannon, I just couldn't decide what kind of cereal to eat this morning. Any ideas?

Robin in Montana said...

That's funny, CK!

Angie said...

BQ announced who her new blog partner is! Exciting! And BOLD!

PJ said...

RiM and SW and Shannon - morning all. What cereal do *you think I should have?

PJ said...

SW - there's some wonderful levity in that blog and the comments.

Shannon said...

LuCKy Charms?

Robin in Montana said...

FreaCKy - I think you should not have cereal. Have a Bloody Mary. Or a Screwdriver. Fruit or vegetable, your call.

Shannon said...

seriously blogger it is a new post!!!

PJ said...

I think the screwdriver would be a better pairing with LuCKy Charms.

Angie said...

Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch gets my vote!

PJ said...

Saluting the Cap'n, SW. Except the roof of my mouth objects.

How about Reese's PB Puffs? Those were my son's favorite.

Robin in Montana said...

I am just not a fan of cereal in general. I do have a recipe for granola I'd like to try soon. As soon as I win the frickin' lottery to buy the 80 gazillion things it has in it! It sounds so good, though, and makes a *ton.

Shannon said...

UGh just got off the phone with my brother....It is his birthday today he is now 26 the old man LOL

Also got updated this week about a couple of uncles from him too. One passed a little while ago from cancer and another is now in a chemical coma because he is done fighting his cancer. I am glad though that their fight is over they had both been fighting for over a year.

Anonymous said...

Hiya pot heads - just back from court. Case dismissed. Seems you can't sue someone for damages to a house you no longer own. Some of the cases were real Judge Judy madness!

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon - so sorry to hear that. Cancer. Scares the crap out of me.

Anonymous said...

Aw Shannon - I'm sorry to hear about your uncles :(

Robin in Montana said...

Margaret - welcome to my job! Glad it got dismissed, though. Did you at least get searched by a cute cop at security, though, for all your troubles? :-D

PJ said...

Margaret - I was kinda thinking that. Some people.

Shannon said...

Margaret glad to hear it was dismissed....she probably expected the sale to come after the case but it didnt then she could have had extra money and a tree still all up in the yard that was on longer her problem.

Thanks for the sympathy for my uncles. I am kind of sad because I really really liked the uncle who is now in the coma. I havent seen either of them in nearly 20 years but I am glad that their fight is over now. Cancer scares the shit out of me but sometimes the idea of fighting it scares me even more.

Anonymous said...

I set of the detector and got wanded - damn bra underwire!

Shannon said...

This morning I was looking at JM's new site...through the reader of course....It was kind of funny though because I always thought SF looked more like Nugget but she is really starting to look a lot more like BM.

Yeah totally random I know :)

Anonymous said...

Cancer is what my family does best AND it seems to always attack our gadgets. Go figure that one!

Shannon said...

ROFL Margaret dont you know that can get you naked in the court house???

Angie said...

"Saluting the Cap'n, SW. Except the roof of my mouth objects." Oh man, now I want some even more! I haven't had any of that in years! I did break down and buy some Cocoa Pebbles a couple of months ago, and they got soggy a lot faster than I remembered.

Shannon said...

I hate soggy cereal

Angie said...

"she is really starting to look a lot more like BM" Like poo, Shannon? That's not nice!

Shannon said...

In your ear SW LOL

Shannon said...

You know that isnt what I am saying :(

Angie said...

Margaret, was it like Judge Judy? Did you both go up and the judge asked questions and then said "dismissed"? How long did you have to wait?

Angie said...

Shannon, no, I really don't know what you meant! But I didn't think you meant poo! :-) Oh, it was a typo and you meant JM?

Angie said...

Next up, FLOP will be saying the Daisies think Maisie looks like poo. Thanks Shannon!

Angie said...

So here's what I don't get. They wand you and it's your undewire bra. But you could have a knife shaped like an underwire and in your bra, and they would wand you and let you through right?

Crap, I bet I just put myself on a no fly list. :-(

Shannon said...

Damn them all to hell....it isnt my fault that JM gave her kid a nickname with the same initials as poop!!!

Angie said...

Ohhhhh, Big Mac! Got it. Sorry, Shannon, I'm apparently particularly dense today. Must have ate too many donuts this morning!

Angie said...

I miss Kristin. :-(

And BD. Hope you are having fun on your vacation, BD. You owe us a lot a lot of quality time when you get back!

And MLWB, you are overdue for a check in.

PJ said...

I miss Kristin too. And Sandy. I thought of her when I passed the Cheetos to the dog last night.

Angie said...

Don't anybody mind me. I'm just sittin' in the squad car, talking to myself.

PJ said...

A cop on the no fly list?

Angie said...

CK, ::sniff:: And also, pass 'em to me! I haven't had a Cheeto in forever! I actually have always preferred cheese puffs, the softer, fluffier cheese-like concoctions. But haven't had those in forever either.

Angie said...

Not just any cop, CK. A cop with dagger underwires.

PJ said...

Undercover AND underwire, huh?

Shannon said...

I dont know about the rest of you but daggers for underwires sounds way too dangerous for me.

Whip those daggers out and cut of the ta-tas?

Angie said...

I'm actually a uniformed cop CK. Not undercover.

Anonymous said...

Shannon - trust me when I tell you it would not be wise for me to go outside my house without an underwire - someone would get hurt.

SW - we had to wait about 2 hours. The judge called us up with our other neighbors she was suing. She explained she wanted $2500 from each of us - the judge asked for receipts - she didn't have any. When our other neighbor answered his first point was she no longer owns the house - therefore she has no legal right to sue us. At that point the judge shut it down - my husband and I never had to say a word.

The highlights were the guy who was suing a party store for $55 for balloons he bought, took home, had his party and then discovered the following morning he ordered 12 inch balloons and they gave him 9 inch balloons.

Case highlight 2 - one friend suing another friend for a loan of $100. The loanee did not want to repay the $100 because at her daughter's birthday parter the loaner told her mother that the loanee was prego and had been hiding it from everyone.

I really had no idea what to expect. Our neighbor growing up was a Supreme Court Justice and I've sat in at the high court. In college I interned at my uncle's firm and helped with fed cases - but I have never seen the low down civil court - a little piece of americana!

Hi Daisy Friends!

I was just searching for this poem I used to have from when my kids were little - it was cross-stitched and hung in my living room for years... I have Tay and Riley today - and I'm making Ang and Megan and present for Mothers Day - their handprints and this poem.. But as I was searching for the handprint poem, I found this Daisy Poem, and had to post it here for all of us special Daisy Ladies!! Thanks AP for making this site for us, and for all the Daisy women (and Chris) who make it what it is!!

I AM A DAISY,
I AM A FLOWER.
I AM A YOUNG GIRL WITH SO MUCH POWER.

I WILL GIVE MY HAND TO MY FRIENDS IN NEED,
I WILL ALWAYS STRIVE TO SUCCEED.

I LOVE TO LEARN, I LOVE TO WRITE,
I LOVE TO SHARE AND I NEVER FIGHT.
I WILL ALWAYS SHOW THE BEST OF ME.
I WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST I CAN BE.

I AM A DAISY, WHICH GIVES ME POWER.
I AM A DAISY, I AM A FLOWER

Lisa said...

You sure did, Margaret. ;-)

*waves hi*

Lisa said...

"I LOVE TO LEARN, I LOVE TO WRITE,
I LOVE TO SHARE AND I NEVER FIGHT.
I WILL ALWAYS SHOW THE BEST OF ME.
I WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST I CAN BE."

And now we all feel a little guilty...

Karen said...

The handprint poem, in case anyone else wants to do it:

sometimes you get discouraged
because i am so small
and always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls
but every day i'm growing
i'll be all grown up some day
and all those tiny handprints
will surely fade away
so here are my hand and fingerprints
just so you can recall
exactly how my fingers looked
when i was very small

I'm gonna let them fingerpaint and handprint a pc of card stock paper, print the poem on in "kid writing" and frame it for them....

So whats new??

Anonymous said...

"I AM A DAISY, I AM A FLOWER. I AM A YOUNG GIRL WITH SO MUCH POWER". Amen Karen!

twirldawg said...

Oh, I'm a cereal junkie.

Anonymous said...

Hi AP - no need to feel guilty. Young girls are taught self defense too :)

Anonymous said...

We call my brother the cereal killer.

Karen said...

CK I don't care what fwop says about you - by the way - I still think you're awesome!!!

Angie said...

Margaret, your neighbor was a US Supreme Court Justice? Cause holy crap, that's a big deal!

LOL re the balloon case! I'm guessing the balloon purchaser lost.

Angie said...

Karen, Hi! And when do we get new kitten pictures?

Karen said...

I'm going over there this afternoon - will bring the camera and take new ones, they are sooo adorable, so fuzzy and eyes opening!

Angie said...

"I AM A DAISY, WHICH GIVES ME POWER.
I AM A DAISY, I AM A FLOWER"

I like it! Cheers to Daisy Power!

"And now we all feel a little guilty..." Some of us more than others, I'll bet. coughAPcough

Angie said...

Oh, man. If I had access to a box full of kittens, I'd just sit and watch them all day!

Shannon said...

I must say that last nights Survivor was awesome. We now will have men vs women with Jerry as the wild card....hmmmm I wonder which way she will go next week?

Anonymous said...

fwop confuses me - they state in one post there will be collateral fallout to us and our families... but then in another post GM is off limits? It's all a mind twister.

Karen said...

I haven't watched it yet Shannon!

Anonymous said...

SW - I have friends in high and low places :)

Shannon said...

Well that is interesting now isnt it Margaret....but is anyone surprised that once AGAIN there is threats of legal consequences? Honestly will there ever be an end to the whole attitude that she can say and do what she wants but if anyone does it back to her it is all about the legal ramifications?

Lisa said...

"Some of us more than others, I'll bet. coughAPcough"

You know, I was not referring to myself, thankyouverymuch! :-P

Shannon said...

DAMMMIT KAREN WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GO WATCH IT!!!!

Anonymous said...

SW - I've had some neat experiences in my life. I once got into it with Amy Carter because she would not let my brother and myself into her tree fort. I explained to her that the White House belongs to all of us :)

Angie said...

Margaret, you know I'd give you all my underwires to know who it was, right? ;-)

AP, this movie review made me think of you, and the horrible horror movie you encouraged me to watch that time. This one might be too much even for you! http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100505/REVIEWS/100509982

KaytieJ said...

ROBIN! (((((()))))) That would be so scary! Sounds like her blood pressure dropped from the pain meds and/or her blood glucose was low. Keep her hydrated. So glad you stayed in town and very glad she is doing better today.

Karen said...

We had a 2 year old overnight Shannon - we watched Barney and Whoa whoa wubsie or some shit like that!! Now I have both the 1 and 2 year olds... and they are napping - soon as they get up we are walking to the pond, feeding the ducks, getting their handprints, and then leaving to my sons to watch HIS kids too - and then coming home... IF we are still concious - we will watch it tonight!!!

Lisa said...

I went and read FWOP this last night/this morning for the first time in ages. Maybe because I was tired, but I just couldn't muster up much of anything but sort of a sadness for anyone who feels the need to run such a silly blog. I did go back to the beginning and reread - has anyone else noticed a distinctly different feel to it in the last couple of days? I wonder if someone decided to not take part in it anymore?

I saw the puzzle on GMWOP is coming together more...if the mod there reads this, if it's not too late (I don't know how these puzzle things work)), would you consider blurring the faces out on her grandkids, perhaps? Not her face, which we an see now, but just the kids? Or even stopping the puzzle right now, with just hers showing? I just really am bothered by anyone stooping to the same ugly level with kids. :-/

Shannon said...

LOL Karen some good adult entertainment there :) I will be one of those grands one day myself I can already see it happening :)

Anonymous said...

SW - Warren Burger.

Karen said...

Its awesome Shannon - seriously I had so much fun last night - it was our first time with just Riley and he was so good - he's a little bit of a wild child when he's at home, and with Tay there he is bigger and a bit of a bully but when it was just us and him, he was the biggest sweetheart! I love it!

Angie said...

Margaret, were you at the White House at the time? You need to write your memoirs! Your life sounds very interesting.

Shannon said...

Damn FWOP and commenters really have their guns a blazing for CK....It must be nice to hide your own identity while putting the names of people who have NOTHING to do with any of the stuff being discussed.

Lisa said...

You know, I think I'll pass. I don't mind a lot of terrible stuff if there's a point to it but this? The point seems to be building a human centipede, literally. Not so much for me, but thanks for the thought!

Shannon said...

Karen I am so glad you get to have the kidlets so often....you know this is stuff that will always stick with them and you get some serious fun in the mean time :)

KaytieJ said...

Corinne - Sorry to hear your grandma is not doing well. ((()))

Margaret - Did you feel you had just walked onto the Jerry Springer show? Awesome experiences growing up!

Karen - I AM A DAISY, WHICH GIVES ME POWER.
I AM A DAISY, I AM A FLOWER Thank you for that one :-D And you are going to melt some hearts with your cards!

Shannon - Peace be with your Uncle. ((()))

Angie said...

Not just ANY justice, the freaking CHIEF justice?!? And arguably one of the most important ones ever! Wow!

Karen said...

I know Shannon - I am SO glad I moved back here from NY - I wouldn't want to miss another day in their lives... I'm loving it so much! They are only small once, right?

Angie said...

It's interesting that I didn't guess at all from the title how one would make a human centipede, AP. I was thinking you'd add some limbs to one human.

Shannon said...

Exactly Karen...you made the right choice moving back because these are all days that you would have missed....sad to think about that one for sure since they are having so much fun with you as you are with them.

Lisa said...

"It's interesting that I didn't guess at all from the title how one would make a human centipede, AP. I was thinking you'd add some limbs to one human."

But then you couldn't get the proper centipede action going. Clever idea, actually, if one has a hankering to build a human centipede.

Angie said...

And on the other end of the spectrum, Ebert's review of the new movie Babies, which sounds like it would be delightful for those who like babies. And you know you do Daisies! http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100505/REVIEWS/100509980

KaytieJ said...

AP - Well said. Messing with anyone's kids and grandkids is not cool.

Anonymous said...

SW - yes, it was a 4th of July picnic. When I was younger I attended special events at the White House - the most moving was when Pres Reagan welcomed the hostages home from Iran. VERY cool!

KaytieJ said...

CK - That cartoon is impressive! Did you draw that? If so, you are very talented.

Karen said...

Wow Margaret - sounds like you had an awesome childhood - lots of cool memories! Do you have pictures from all these things? You could do a memory album, how cool!

Melissa said...

AP-Have you done any more thinking on the shrub/tree issue? I talked to someone I know that works with lawns/trees/shrubs down here and he said that hibiscus would do well and grow really big in less than 6 months.

Melissa said...

Hi Kaytie, Karen, Margaret and SW!

Anonymous said...

On the pics of the grandkids - I wouldn't post pics of kids or grandkids but everyone reacts differently. When you attack someone you don't have control of how they will attack you back. FWOP is partly responsible for what happens as a result of their site.

As for CK - I knew she was a trouble maker with her veggie tale presentations and JM analytics!

KaytieJ said...

Hello Melissa!

Robin in Montana said...

I for one am glad that we have CK in the house. If nothing else, we have learned that she can be blamed for anything, whether she has anything to do with it or not. I blame her for the stock market roller coaster yesterday, myself. ::nod::

Anonymous said...

I don't think even back then you were allowed to take photos at the White House. I should ask my dad though because I know my mom has boxes of slides in her basement (he never took photos - slides and reel to reel movies).

Lisa said...

Melissa, yes, I've been looking over what everyone suggested and was pretty much settled on the hibiscuses. I'm glad to know it's a good choice. Some, like the laurels and lilacs, just can't grow here, as much as I'd love both. I'm not sure why I'd not thought of hibiscuses since I love them and have a few as individual plants. Thanks for checking that for me and I think I'm headed to Lowe's tomorrow!

How are you anyway?

Muliebrity said...

Didn't they say they had 5 people working on it together? There is no way one of them isn't going to go rouge and take everyone down with them. I hope the site goes back up, so we can see that happen!

Robin in Montana said...

Kaytie - you are welcome! A friend sent me that a year ago or so,but it's still just as funny.

Shannon said...

So Robin do you think that could have been caused by the whole husbands, in-laws, and anyone in any way related to anyone who posts on Daisy comment?

KaytieJ said...

Seems FLOP is suspended again.
Now I get it.

Mulie - Poor little guy :-(

Shana said...

I don't know what "fair game" talk you're referring to.

Angie said...

LOLOL re Future Victim of CK!!

tumbleweedgirl said...

sw

i'm caught up now. appears there were some mean things said about ck on another blog.

anyway, lia's pre-pneumonia, but on the mend with meds. so it's awesome i brought her in that fast, and not so awesome that a cold did that to her. but she should be bouncing around soon (:

cos she's cool like that. glad fwop is suspended for now. it appears they've been playing dirty.

tumbleweedgirl said...

if you knew her, she bounces all the time. i'm looking forward to it. it's her way of nodding 'yes yes yes! i thought you'd *never* say that!', it's her way of dancing, of celebrating, of wiggling, of being.

(= ok, so i like her a teeny bit

Shannon said...

Well at least pre-pneumonia is much better then full pneumonia....hopefully with this weather getting nicer she will bounce back with a quickness.

Angie said...

Well that is awesome that you got Lia in fast, and she's on the way to wellness! Your descriptions of her are so cute, Rhys.

Shannon said...

Rhys I am sure she does that bouncing and nodding with a big ole slobbery grin too :)

tumbleweedgirl said...

Holy crap I dont really know what has gotten into me but the house is suffering greatly from the cleaning it is getting right now.

And I will announce this right here and now....I will NEVER own a long haired dog ever again!!! In vacuuming the living room and sweeping the kitchen/dining room within an inch of its life I have filled a plastic shopping bag just with Buzz's hair!!! Now mind you we are not super neat freaks but this is stuff that gets done at least weekly but holy crap with this warm weather coming in it has to be done more or the poor vacuum will burn up and die.

KaytieJ said...

Shannon - I know where you can get a hairless dog :-D

Having 2 very hairy dogs, I feel your pain.

Shannon said...

Kay what is really sad is that we have 3 dogs but pits have hair that is all of 1/4 of an inch long...Buzz really should be bald since I just cleaned up enough of his hair to make a whole other dog.
