Sort of. Barely. I'm too sleepy to resize kitten pictures and all so you'll have to wait a bit.
Carry on and sleep well, good morning, whatever.
Noon and 6, remember.
Seems like every time I stop in here it's like the middle of the night. After 2am now. I need to visit more often, cause I like all you vile daisies the bestest.
So I've been skimming trying to figure out what in the world the FWOP and go fish blogs are all about. Maybe the go fish one is dead now? I think I know *who* is running them but why? Do.not.get.it. ?!?
And I found a couple things that I had to post about.
AP-I'm glad you chose hibiscus, I was going to suggest that even though you made this decision like days ago. According to my zodiac sign, I'm supposed to have a green thumb. I follow all of the traits perfectly, except I don't have a green thumb. I have the thumb of death when it comes to plants. Seriously, I touch it, it dies.
Except for hibiscus. I can't even kill those if I tried. Mine don't grow really very full but they do grow tall. And I think we're fairly close to each other so our climate's should be about the same.
And...The Point of No Return. I loved that movie! It was one of a very few that I saw more than once at the theater. I probably went five times. I was obsessed with Bridget Fonda! I wanted to be her! I was 18/19 and she had a bunch of movies out, TPoNR, SWF, Singles, I think she was even in Drop Dead Fred (Another one of my faves).
But then it's like she fell off the earth. Whatever happened to Bridget Fonda?!
And lastly I love me some CK totally stuCK on her!
Ell-lo daisies!! It's 2am and I am just as pleased as pie!! Why, ask you? Well certainly not because I learned after catching up on the last post that mushrooms are grown in excrement......rendering them immediately into the Never Eating Again category.....nor is it because we had a celeb in our midst!! (Sandy, bring that cute baby to Austin!!)
Nope......I am happy becauuuuse....at "only" 2:00am, my brother is ALREADY IN BED and HAS been for an hour already! We finally broke the 25+ day streak of him not being able to go to sleep until 4:00 or later. It was killing me. But now.....I am hoping he can make a habit of this!
So........couple things!! First, what the aitch is a "motel 6 pastie"?
Umm actually I guess that is pretty much my only question=)
Kaytie......I am so sad that you are sick. that totally stinks. We will definitely be praying for you.
Chris started his new therapy, thanks to all of YOU......and he did GREAT!! The doctor is confident if he works hard he has a great chance to recover left side function!!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.......I'll pop in Saturday during the day and see how everyone is. Kaytie, feel better asap......we love you guys.
"Chris started his new therapy, thanks to all of YOU......and he did GREAT!! The doctor is confident if he works hard he has a great chance to recover left side function!!"
This is truly AWESOME news!!! And YAY to Chris getting to sleep earlier...good news for both of you. Do you have Voodoo Donuts down there? If not, Shannon and I should send you a box to celebrate. Chris would get quite a kick out of them :-D
Thanks for the well wishes. It's just a stupid GI virus that has been going around. I was finally able to keep down some ibuprofen and immodium and haul my way too cranky self to bed for awhile until dh came home. I got so excited hearing about the concert!
Maxxxi - I'm about blind trying to read your cartoon. Those cartoons are usually hilarious.
CK - dh said the concert was wonderful and that Carol's voice is still riveting. (he was hosting a function there so I told him not to get on his white horse and come save me)
AP - ::nodding:: it did make me feel better. And you know it goes both ways. We are card carrying members of the mutual admiration society :-D And Ms. Arse? I love that woman!
I'm staying out of the 'shroom talk - thought of food (except Voodoo Donuts) still makes me queasy.
Off to my favorite greenhouse guy for flowers before The Great Mother's Day Crowd wipes out out his stock.
I volunteered at our school plant sale yesterday. I went to help set up at 12:30, meant to leave around 4:00, then volunteers started disappearing and didn't have the heart to leave the cleanup for the few people that were left, so I stayed until 7! I drank the fastest 2 beers in my life when I got home last night. But the sale went very well and we raised a lot of money.
Anyhooo, I'll be a busy gardener today, so I hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning! I need to spend, like, all day in the field today. Blah. I am so large and in charge and don't feel like it, but civic duty (and money) calls!
Margaret- have never been to calvert cliffs. Will have to put that on the list. We vacationed in Leonardstown a few years ago. It was nice, good fishing, quiet.
I do feel very "Good Earth" out there, EL. Esp, when I dropped my phone in the middle of the street and had to squat down and get it. I just wanted to stay in the position until the baby popped out.
CK was in the KGB - what? Don't you wish that the people who come in here trying to divide us would just go off and have their own little bitch session. I'm fine with the fact that you all are a bunch of losers :)
For some reason, when I picture CK now I think Boris and Natassia...since she's in the KGB and all. Corinne, I am glad she got some rest...hopefully you did, too.
We moved away last year, but lived in Lusby (just over from Solomon's) for 4 years. Yes, I was a Lusbian. Hubby worked at PAX River NAS. I loved living there (except for the cost of living), but it was getting difficult being 18 hours away from family.
EL I'm sad to inform you that there has been a renewed interest in baby alive here. Husband thought it would be a *fantastic idea to put the kid's old high chair in girl's room. Baby alive has taken up residence in said high chair. I am trying to find someone to take the high chair off our hands...it is not a toy, right? Says so right on the darn thing!
Can you explain your census-ing ways to us? Do you get assigned a neighborhood where many have not returned the forms, or are you following up to make sure people *have returned their forms?
20 questions? The commercials I heard said it's only 10 questions! Is the government trying something *funny with those who do not comply? ::whispers:: is this socialism?!
Amy- oh, my heart *breaks for you. Baby alive is buried under all the other babies, hopefully hidden forever! I am waiting for her to be full of ants one day!
Erin it was lovely. Yesterday we had a catered lunch and then the best part. The English teachers have their students write a letter to one of their teachers and we get them on the Friday of TA week.
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Good Night AP.
As I said before...
Damnitalltohell. My pic is too small to see the joke.
AP..the night is still young...and so is CK.
I see how ya'll are, I arrive and ya'll take off. There is no love for MaXXXine tonight. I'm going to take my shit and leave.
I mean it...I'm walking out the door....don't try to stop me....here I go.....did I mention I'm leaving.....right now.....on my way.....
::shuffling in the door with her walker::
Can we talk about something else? Besides my age that is. Really. Puhleeze.
I only look 35.
Thought I did a wonderful job in Blind Side.
And the old lady disguised as a beautiful talented actress outlasts all the younguns.

Heather,
I got your e-mail - will respond tomorrow. Hope you are well.

Quick good morning to everyone!
Off to my favorite greenhouse guy for flowers before The Great Mother's Day Crowd wipes out out his stock.

Good morning pot heads.
I'm hoping Kay is feeling better and Corinne and her grandma are well.
I did not know that CK is elderly - I love old people, maybe that's why I'm drawn to her :)
Soccer today - little legs of furry battling it out!
Good morning. I went to bed early last night so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Mulie-LOL. I *forgot about the census and was picturing you in a rice paddy!
Morning all...are we now the aged, wilting daisies? At least we can spell, and form complete sentences.
EL, Calvert Cliffs is my old stomping ground! I actually delivered both my boys at the hospital in Leonardtown!
Calvert is good fun EL - kind of neat finding million year old fossils :)
Hi everyone.
Kaytie - I hope you feel better!
I caught up but I've partially forgotten what I read. My brain is apparently fried.
My grandmother's state is unchanged except for the fact that she slept through the night thanks to morphine. I guess that's better than nothing.
Aw Corinne - I hope things start to look up for you and your grandma. xoxo
Mulie - I didn't know you lived in MD? I live just over the Woodrow Wilson bridge.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, Corrine.
For some reason, when I picture CK now I think Boris and Natassia...since she's in the KGB and all. Corinne, I am glad she got some rest...hopefully you did, too.
Mulie- but then in true Good Earth fashion, you would have to get *right back to work after popping that baby out!
Corinne- {hugs}
Hey Amy!
We moved away last year, but lived in Lusby (just over from Solomon's) for 4 years. Yes, I was a Lusbian. Hubby worked at PAX River NAS. I loved living there (except for the cost of living), but it was getting difficult being 18 hours away from family.

Baby alive has taken up residence in said high chair. I am trying to find someone to take the high chair off our hands...it is not a toy, right? Says so right on the darn thing!
I now think of CK as Maude from "Harold and Maude." Stay away from my husband, CK. He looks just like a young Bud Cort.
Lusby is good shark toothing too :)
Mulie,
Can you explain your census-ing ways to us? Do you get assigned a neighborhood where many have not returned the forms, or are you following up to make sure people *have returned their forms?
I am playing 20 questions with them. I get a map, a book and about 50 labeled forms I have to fill out for people.
10 questions times the number of people who sleep at the residence. I have had a few families of 6 and 7.
Thank you, ladies.
Mulie - I love the movie "Harold and Maude"!
So now that it has been found out that CK was in the KGB she has to kill all of us now huh? Well, it was nice knowing you.
Annnnnnnnnd, I used to live in MD, can I be part of the cool kids club?
Corinne sorry to hear that there is no improvement in your grandmother, hope she is comfortable at least.
I need to shower then hit the street ya'll. On second thought, maybe they will complete the information faster if I am all smelly and greasy.
Well, if CK has to kill us all, I am *not showering OR cleaning today. Not wasting my last hours on that shit.
Jill- how was you t.a. week?
Erin it was lovely. Yesterday we had a catered lunch and then the best part. The English teachers have their students write a letter to one of their teachers and we get them on the Friday of TA week.
Morning all! Looking forward to my kitten pictures in five minutes, AP! Don't disappoint!
I love hearing what you guys are all up to on a Saturday. Deb's buying flowers, Mulie's out squatting in the fields. La la spring!
Amy, LOL re socialism!
To the teachers, I'm glad you felt appreciated! You deserve to feel that way.
