Would anyone like to talk about dinner?

My daughter just lost a tooth while eating corn on the cob and I don't have anything good to put under her pillow. I feel like crap and really don't feel like running out to the store.

manda said...

What do you mean anything good? Do you just give her money or do you give her treats?

Heather said...

Maybe check some pockets or under couch cushions?

My husband usually handles that. The other night it was on me. I felt like Mission Impossible trying to sneak in and be silent. Dark and the room is a disaster! But I succeeded.

I'm getting my hair did, so pizza is what's for dinner tongiht. Seriously, it takes my guy two and a half hours to cut and color my hair. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Speaking of which, I must be off. Night, night guys! See you later!

I used to get a nickel for my teeth. I wonder what might happen if I put my broken pieces from a couple weeks ago under the pillow? With inflation and all?

My oldest just called to wish me a happy Mother's Day. And to remind me I'm taking three of her kids next week. Wasn't that sweet?

I give her a treat and money - last time she got bath gels I think. One time I totally forgot about it so I over indulge now :) She's my love - I can't help myself!

I spent 15 minutes trying to talk my friend out making me have dinner with my friend and his girlfriend, and failed. Sigh.

You should have told them you had killer cramps :)

KaytieJ said...

Creepy Mommy - I am late on this. I did not realize you were RP! Good to have you back.

Margaret - colds suck. Sorry to hear you have one :-(
What about one of your charms for your DD?

Heather - Hello!

twirldawg said...

ugh, just got home.

KaytieJ said...

SW - that is a bummer.

KaytieJ said...

Afternoon Jill!

Anonymous said...

Kaytie - I think she would poo poo a charm. She may just get money this time.

Hi Heather :)

Not many more days Jill!

twirldawg said...

7 days!!!

I'm drained. Between Intenet drama and work drama.
I'm trying to keep it together at home, but mommy needs to lay down!

Muliebrity said...

I love that Grayson kid singing Lady Gaga!

KaytieJ said...

Jill - Get some rest! Hope your day gets better this evening.

Angie said...

I vow to do my part in keeping the drama to a minimum tonight, out of respect for Jill. Who's with me?

twirldawg said...

LOl SW I think it will be ok. OD is dramaed out.

Really Frugal said...

Major drama alert:
a. SW, who will go home from AI?
b. Who should go home?

KaytieJ said...

Not being dramatic. I thought, for the most part, it was a civil discussion on some very volatile issues. It could have been a train wreck, but it was not. JMO.

KaytieJ said...

"Melt and Pour" Soap is cooling. It smells soooo good. Dried Mint and Grapefruit with a tinge of mint green coloring. The star molds are so pretty - a bit too flowery - but they look like the star on our barn.
Margaret - wish I had done them a week ago, so you could sneak one in as a Tooth Fairy present!

Angie said...

RF:
a. Big Mike
b. Probably hot blonde guy, but I like him so I'm going to say Big Mike anyway.

What do you think?

Angie said...

Mmmmm to dried mint and grapefruit!

Shannon said...

Just keep that silver lining in sight Jill....only 7 more days and things will calm down in half of the world

KaytieJ said...

SW - I agree with your prediction re: AI

twirldawg said...

SW I'm almost counting the hours.

Really Frugal said...

SW, I don't know. That's why I asked you! I think Crystal should win and the three guys should come in second. They are all so good and so different.

Angie said...

I agree it was a civil discussion, Kaytie. Southern belles like me are like delicate flowers, though. I might get the vapors if there is more disagreement tonight. ::fanning myself::

Angie said...

Crystal and Lee are my favorites, and I demand that they both be in the finale. If I get my way, I hope I won't care who "wins." They are both going to do well in the music business, in my (completely uneducated) opinion.

Muliebrity said...

I have not watched AI in probably 4 seasons. I only know who the girl with the white-girl dreads is. And only because I have been considering taking the plunge into white-girl dreads myself.

Muliebrity said...

SW, Did you ever confirm our lotto agreement?

Erin said...

Margaret- I do money and a treat too. I try to keep lip gloss or something hidden away. Do you have any silver or gold dollars? That would be cool.

Erin said...

Mulie- do census takers go to every house, or just ones that have not sent it in?

PJ said...

Lots of catching up to do. It's been a busy 20 hours here. Be back after I read.

Karen said...

I like Crystal and the big black guy - is that Mike? Ohhh I'm bad at names, but I think Crystal is gonna win! I hope that not Crystal, not the big black guy and not the hot young blond goes home... LOL Whats that other guys name? He's who I think will be going home!

Muliebrity said...

We just go to residences where people have not turned in their Census Questionnaires.

Really Frugal said...

I did census in 1980, and I don't know if there were mail ones then. It seems like I had to go to every house in my territory, and keep going until I found someone home. Our community had a large population of recent Hmong immigrants, so language barriers were frequent. Most of them had a friend or neighbor to call to translate, but some just tried to stumble through. It was fun, but such a challenge.

Really Frugal said...

Okay, I saw comment about census, added to that convo, and now I don't see the comment I was reacting to? Am I losing my mind completely?

Really Frugal said...

Now the comments are back. I am. losing. my. mind.

Muliebrity said...

I saw the comments thing too (and then didn't), so i responded to what I thought I saw. Blogger is broken-ish again.

Muliebrity said...

Is Crystal the chick w/ the white girl dreads?

Anonymous said...

Oh Kaytie little soaps from the fairy would be so cute!

Really Frugal said...

TY, Mulie. I was really concerned. About my mind. At my age I don't worry a lot about alzheimers, but I sure have parts-heimers.

Really Frugal said...

Crystal has dreads. And a voice twice her size. Mike is the big black guy, and Lee is not the hot blond guy who is Casey. I think.

Karen said...

RF then I think Lee is the one I think will get voted off tonight. If anyone wants to spoil it for me when its over, thats fine. Patti isn't home and we won't watch it til later, but I don't care if I find out before watching who leaves... I will still watch and enjoy it.

and yes, Crystal has dreads, which I usually don't like, but for some reason, she is adorable even with them!!

Muliebrity said...

Speaking of concern. My 4 y/o, Logan started crying in another room right before dinner when I went to check on him and he said tummy hurt and he wans't crying anymore. He came into eat and laid his head on the table. I sat with him for a few minutes and he did eat a few bites. I was checking my computer and he came over and fell asleep with his head on my lap after a few minutes. I asked him if he needed to use the bathroom or thought he was going to throw up, but he said no.

Anonymous said...

The tummy bug has been going around here Mulie - I hope he's not getting sick. You have too much going on already!

Shannon said...

Oh poor baby....I hate when they get yucky tummies when they are so little because too often thy dont know they are in trouble with anything coming out till it is too late.

Muliebrity said...

I still have my 2 y/o on antibiotics!

Shannon said...

And a baby soon....ugh I sure hope that they are able to get over the sickies before it is time for the baby to arrive. Has to be tough on you Mulie....here's to hoping they get better in a fast hurry.

PJ said...

Crystal, Crystal, Crystal!

::starts cheer throughout the Daisy audience::

She is raw and real.

KaytieJ said...

Margaret - I will send you some. You have been so generous to so many with your crafts!

PJ said...

SW, are you here?

Anonymous said...

I'd actually like to know what the website is Kaytie - those would be cute to make in little molds.

Muliebrity said...

SW is ignoring me/us until after she checks her lotto numbers!

Really Frugal said...

I think SW said she was having a dinner she didn't want with friends she didnt want to have it with. But that might just be a cover story.

Muliebrity said...

That's right, RF. She was really hungry.

Anonymous said...

There is a nice new post up on gmwop - seems GM was less than honest with us this morning...

Muliebrity said...

really? what a surprise. who knows what is real in this suburb of Oz we call the internets.

Erin said...

Mulie- I asked b/c I just got a letter that the census place sent to schools to send out. It said they could come to a house requesting info on the homeowner *or their neighbors. is this right?

RF- Blogger was doing that to me earlier, and I thought I was going crazy!! Thank goodness it happened to you too. Or wait...maybe we are *both crazy!

Really Frugal said...

Well, Erin, If I have to be crazy it will begood to not be alone.

Angie said...

"SW, Did you ever confirm our lotto agreement?"

Hey! I'm back from dinner! It wasn't bad. Has anybody seen Mulie lately? I hope the drama last night didn't scare her off! ;-)

Angie said...

It's deader than dead here. So I went off for dinner and you guys all went on vacay without me? WTF? I'm watching Modern Family. Does anyone watch that? It's hilarious. The family is on vacation in Hawaii, and the Dad was trying to woo the Mom and get her to relax and have fun. Mom said, "I'm a mother traveling with my kids. This isn't a vacation for me, it's a business trip!" Cute.

Shana said...

I watch it SW & it is so funny! I loved when Gloria said, "All this rowing & swimming & running! Oy! It reminds me of how I got into this country!" She is the shiz! And smoking hot to boot =0)

After watching American Idol tonight I signed on to the computer to see that WON is the owner of GMWOP.

I also see that Won is trying to deflect the attention that she has casted on herself onto me....now she is accusing me of the owner of FWOP and claims she has proof of some IP address.

Daisy site has a site meter that all can see, therefore, each of you can clearly see that the IP address WON claims belongs to me....DOES NOT.

It is clear WON is trying to take her fight with people on the Internet to the Daisy site. Please don't give her the forum to do that.

I have stayed out of this entire mess and I will not sit by while WON tries to involve me with all her MADE UP proof.

I have long thought that WON was involved in the FUCKTARD comment I was accused of and I have since found evidence of WON using that word numerous times on her daughters Carebridge site. That was not a word I had ever used and not a common word a person would use. With this new development of WON trying to once again involve me....now I am sure it was WON.

WON good try, but once again you have been caught in ANOTHER lie. Give it up...you have been found out.

My IP address is 99.78.124.213

Lisa said...

Hey, Tina. We're fine, thanks...and you?

SW? A sweet southern belle? Puh-lease!

Kaytie, I love anything grapefruit scented so I bet your soap smells wonderful!

Anyone else loving Happy Town, too?

Erin said...

The only thing I am watching is my laundry pile. It seems to grow when I walk away.

KaytieJ said...

My Daisy broken and now works - YAY!
Mulie - did you get my message my orchid bloomed? sorry to hear your older boy is not feeling well!

Margaret - here is the link for the soaps.
http://www.oregontrailsoaps.com/index.php
I used goat milk based. This is a wonderful project for kids. I am not a craft person, so perfect for me :-D

AP - the grapefruit fragrance is very refreshing.

Hi Tina! Don't think we have met.

Dh and son are watching Military Channel. Not sure if I will get remote control to watch AI
:-(

KaytieJ said...

My Daisy broken and now works

Good grief. I swear all I had was hot tea when we went for Chinese food.

Erin said...

Kaytie- did you get the kit online, or at a store? Need to start looking for stuff to stop the summer battle cry of "I'm boooored"!

Hey AP and Tina.

Everyone else is smart and went to bed.

KaytieJ said...

I bought it online from the the link I posted above.
Very happy with the service and the materials and molds. My only beef is that they did not include directions - they have them on the website - so I set lap top up in kitchen.
Now I have soap splotches and chocolate frosting on my keyboard :-D

KaytieJ said...

Everyone else is smart and went to bed.

Hehe..son just went to bed. DH drowsy on couch watching Military Channel. I think I have a shot at watching AI ;-D

I'm still awake, but it's only 10 here. More snow, so I think I'll lay awake and worry about that damn bird some more. *sigh*

Was glad to see Michael go home, but I'm worried that Casey will somehow weasel his way in to the Top 2 with Crystal and that would really piss me off. I love Lee and Crystal.

Why did they bring the baby out? Come on. Poor thing was so scared. :o(

. said...

I LOVE Modern Family. That show is the best. Gloria is so funny and so beautiful!

. said...

Crikey! Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is 63?? I'm just reading some Yahoo article about him and it stated his age. I had no idea he was in his 60's.

. said...

I'm having fun talking to myself. Don't mind me! Dang all you people that go to bed early!

KaytieJ said...

Nite - Tara! I got the remote and watching AI :-D
Hope your birds get through the night!
