Kaytie, it was an exceptional deal. Publix is a great store, very clean, modern, friendly and they're really trying to help people out in these tough times. They do many thing like this sale.

More good news - $1200 performance bonus at the PT office gig, and a week of spring vacation next year.
Husband and I are not going anywhere, despite his lobbying efforts that we could do it on the cheap. The idea just died a slow death. But with the bonus, I may spend a bit of it on a massage. The rest will go to, yes, paying the mortgage (take that JM you lousy credit risk, you).

I'll be one of the 800 emails. I sent AP an apology note. I should not have called Tara out on here. It was not the right time or place. When I went to take back my post, it was too late and some had already seen. I cannot imagine that Tara would not post here because of little old me though. There are only about 100 other people here.
I tend to disagree about her honesty, however. She is a game player. And her silence on the subject speaks volumes. She ripped me a new one when I accepted my invite to SIP. She told me it was betraying her. In the meantime, Won decided I couldn't be friends with you all and friends with Jeanette, Shana and Tara, so she recinded my invite anyway. It is what it is. The great irony is that even after all the conversing, emails and what I thought was genuine friendship, she blocked me from her blog, quit all contact and asked won for an invite to SIP. Didn't even have the balls to tell me why she wouldn't be able to talk to me anymore. So the irony was not lost on me when she was "banned." And I couldn't keep my mouth shut.
I don't apologize for how I feel, but I am sorry I brought it up here.

Actually, no one ever complains. It's lovely in that way! Where there's drama, though, I do tend to get a lot of "here's what I think is going on" emails. I actually love conspiracy theories among friends but I don't seem to have enough time to get to them all properly and then I feel bad.
Lindsay, as I just told you in email, it's fine. Really. It's better people be upfront and honest about they feel than sneaking around letting it fester. Heh, I said fester. Anyway, Tara could have responded in kind, ignored you, taken it to email or left. She chose to leave, it seems. I'm sorry for that and hope she comes back, but at least here, she had a choice.

I have been lurking for part of the day b/c I had no time to post, but I should be here and there for the rest of the day. I have to chat with my students tonight; otherwise, I'm around. But I am not fake Krista, even though I do have deadlines. :)
I was going to comment on my take of the Krista entries, but Jeanette bet me to it. So: same person, who has set up an alternate site as Krista. And the second time "Krista" posted, this person neglected to switch accounts. It wouldn't be that hard to whittle the list down. The tone and the ::xx:: style isn't used by everyone.

My own conspiracy theory? It really isn't one, just another thought to toss out. The fake Krista could also be a regular poster on SIP and not a regular poster here but had both tabs up to read our reactions and accidentally posted here (the second time) what they meant to post on SIP. That would mean that yes, they forgot to both log out *and change tabs. It's at least possible, no? We can't discount people from both places. So, who has meetings and drinks beer after work and would have access to such a list, out-dated or not? By the way, it's not too outdated - I'm not on it.
AP: No, that Krista handle is brand-new. It was created in March 2010.

Can I throw a question out there? There is still a Chris listed on the SIP list. Was there ever like more than 1 Chris? The first name I was assigned for the secret Santa was Chris. I send her a gift. A couple of days after I mailed it, I was told that Chris was out of Secret Santa, could I not send the gift, only it had already gone out. Little explanation given. I assumed Chris wouldn't be moving from OHIH to SIP. I also expected the package to be returned to sender. I said that I would have *no problem sending out another gift, I didn't want anyone to be left out and so I was assigned to CPT wife so I sent a gift to her (no issue with CPT wife here). Now I see that there IS a Chris on SIP. Wonder where that first gift went?

Jeanette - teaching is a second career for me. 25 some years in business. Went to grad school to get my masters degree and teaching license. But I was working at the same time, so it took me a while to get done.
I teach elementary music, and it is exhausting AND rewarding. I'm glad I did the hard work, though. Even though I'm making about 1/2 what I was in business.
