Mrs. Neely.

All  women should live so long as to be this kind of  lady!

Toward the end of Sunday service, the Minister asked, "How many of you have forgiven your  enemies?"  Eighty percent held up their hands. The Minister then repeated his question.  All responded this time, except one small elderly  lady.

"Mrs. Neely? Are you not willing to forgive your enemies?"

"I don't have any," she replied, smiling sweetly.

"Mrs. Neely, that is very unusual.  How old are you?"

"Ninety-eight," she replied. The congregation stood up and clapped their hands.

"Oh,  Mrs. Neely, would you please come down in front and tell us all how a person can live ninety-eight years and not have an enemy in the world?"

The little sweetheart of a lady tottered down the aisle, faced the congregation, and said,
"I outlived the bitches."

It's Friday.  Payday for many.  I know money is tight for everyone but don't forget about  Caring For Chris.  How about passing on eating out for a week and giving what you save there?  You and he both will be healthier for it.  If nothing else, contribute towards a blow job fund, will you?  Just try to help and I promise you'll feel all self-righteous and special for it.

Elisabeth and Chris - New post is up and I copied this over for you :-D
And I gotta say, I hear you on boundaries and we nurses know that, or should, and I hope they responded gracefully and professionally so that Chris does not think it is just him.

Kristin.......no email from you, booohissss

Mulie, yes he does have feeling "there"....but it sharply "curves" over to the right and he can't control it! He has been encouraged to ....ahhhhh ...."self employ" relief and he says it's like trying to hula hoop a greased donut on your thumb.

We knew we still had "feeling" when he still had a breathing tube in. He was in and out of consciousness and a VERY attractive male nurse came in to adjust his leg compression device. Chris had do much "feeling"...they had to re-adjust his foleycath!

He had a huge issue with boundaries while in inpatient rehab after ICU. The one poor RN tech asked to be moved to a different patient because Chris kept lecherously leering at him and saying obnoxiously "I hope you have some reason to touch me today!!"

Lord, it was a nightmare. He still has boundary issues (which they say is normal) but thank God he is not QUITE as bad.

Hi everyone!

Welcome back RF and welcome BJ & Hd!

Bd- I have not read 'And the band played on'. I just looked it up and it sounds really interesting. Did you like it?

Kristin & RiM- What kind of books do you like?

The 'Anderson' lady is...I have no words. Reading her blog causes my BP to spike.

I am pissed at the Eyjafjallajokull volcano (hope I spelled that right!)! It was supposed to be a sunny day and because of this stupid ash cloud - which looks like a dark, thick, heavy rain cloud - it's rather dark outside.
The Belgian air space will remain closed until at least tomorrow 10 am. Up to 50% of all flights in Europe have been canceled. It's such a mess.

I swear that's the last time I talk about this volcano ;-)

Chris - That's a great thing you did re:the 20$ :)

Have you read this:

http://www.parentdish.com/2010/04/15/russia-suspends-all-adoptions-to-us-families/

?

I guess, I can understand that the Russian authorities would deem what that motehr did unacceptable but suspend all adoptions to American families? This is kind of rough, both for the prospective adoptive parents and the children in desperate need of a home.

T@iy@ said...

Morning Corinne, Kristin, All Others! :)

Corinne- i read that. That really is a bad situation. It's horrible for the people who have adoptions pending and are so close to completion and are now on hold until they work it out. It may not be too long, but even then it is a delay for those people who are looking forward to having their child come home!

Really Frugal said...

Damn, I turn on my laptop and think someone has put a mirror on my screen.

Good morning ladies and others.

Corinne, that ash cloud is something! It's not fair that the airport in Iceland is still open.

I actually was at that airport once. My mom was raised in Germany. When I was in fourth grade we flew a prop plane - Icelandic Air - from NYC to Luxembourg, then took the train to Munich. There was a refueling stop with a nice breakfast in Iceland. Travel used to be more time-consuming.

Anonymous said...

Hi RF, Taiya & Kristin!

Taiya - Agree. The adoption process is already long enough, this delay must be unbearable to some parents/children!

RF- Yes, it's not fair that the airport in Iceland is still open. On the other hand, it is super quiet here. Instead of one flight every 2 min. we usually have, there is nothing but sheer silence. Ah, if it weren't for the impact on the economy, I wish it could last a bit longer :)

T@iy@ said...

Mulie- your girl doesn't kick you all over? Eeq has somehow mastered kicking me in a way that causes a shoot of pain to radiate out from what I can only imagine is my cervix. It's her fav to do when I am walking and trying to grocery shop or something in public so I look like a loser walking and stopping and walking and stopping. :) She's apparently talented. ha

Hi Sandy!

Taiya- At least, now you can compare the efficciency of the different kinds of traps there are! ;-)

Definitely! I could write reviews. Some of them are pretty sinister looking.

T@iy@ said...

Eeq is really high, but somehow she kicks *just right. DD #1 was dropped at about 7 months, so I was just an excessive waddler and she would lodge her feet in my ribs. i didn't have all of this kicking stuff, though...

Angie said...

Morning all, and happy Friday! Corinne, I think the volcano/ash cloud story is terribly interesting, so don't stop talking about it. It's amazing that a volcano in Iceland can cause so much trouble.

I don't have much to say today. I'm going to be buying new shrubs and bedding plants for my yard guy to put in this weekend, and I'm excited about that. I bought my house five years ago and haven't done anything decent to the front beds since then (other than let my Mom weed them every year or so) and my front yard will no longer be an eyesore after this weekend. Yay!

T@iy@ said...

It's going to be a long day with DD. Oy.

Sorry to hear that Sandy! Those nights are not fun.

Anonymous said...

Sandy - I'm sorry you had such a rough night. I hope your little guy gets to feeling better soon.

Hi SW! - I find that whole volcano eruption fascinating, too. I might write a blog entry about it. I took a few pictures of the sky this morning. It was kind of weird; you could see pieces of blue sky and the sun shining through these thick dark clouds.

T@iy@ said...

You should definitely post the photos, Corinne! I really want to see them!

Muliebrity said...

Effing Bank of America has pissed me off! They left my husband overdraw our account while he was deployed and charged us $35 and yesterday/today the put through 2 larger charges (they should have declined) and let five little ones overdraft. I wonder how much they will charges for those. I though banks weren't allowed to do this anymore?

Muliebrity said...

though=thought

T@iy@ said...

Oh man, Mulie! That really sucks! We have dealt with that with our bank before. Did you call them and complain and see if they will remove some of the charges?

Muliebrity said...

I haven't called yet, because they haven't charged us anything other than that other $35 fee yet. They are ass holes to put through charges that will purposefully overdraft us. Matt also got paid at 12 am and half these charges weren't even pending yesterday.

Robin in Montana said...

Hey all! I haven't joined in much on the Chris conversations because I'm never on when Elisabeth is, but I was reading last night (reposted on this one) and cracking up at the hula hoop/greased donut! Now *there's a visual! So ::waves hi at Chris:: And I love that you spent your $20 to help someone else out.

That's all I got. I am in a foul, kind of heart-sicky mood this morning. My kids and that church he takes them to is just messing up their heads and I don't know how to handle it. My youngest was crying and begging me to 'come back' last night, tellingme she has nightmares and can't sleep of me dying. Said the earthquakes mean the end is coming soon and she is terrified of never seeing me. :*(

kristin said...

Oh Robin! Gosh, that sucks! All you can do is reassure her and love on her as much as possible.

Mulie - I'd call - it's happened to me before - also, I'm wondering if they might do something b/c he is in the service?

Sandy {{{HUGS}}} hope the little guy feels better.

Morning ladies

Sorry about your rough night Sandy...when the kidlets arent feeling good it always seems mom gets hit the hardest

Corinne that volcano is interesting to me too...I love that kind of stuff...mother nature at her fiercest.

How you doing today Kristin?

Robin I have to tell you that I HATE HATE HATE those kind of churches that preach fire and brimstone and doom and gloom and then talk about how loved ones who arent "saved" are going to burn in hell.....it is atrocious to preach that kind of stuff to little children.

Shannon said...

OK the news just made me cry. Obama just passed that same sex partners have the same right as family (blood relations) to hospital visitations. So like when my friend Jeff lay dying in the hospital his partner of 27 years could have been with him instead of being denied access. That really just makes me very happy.

Shannon said...

and passed should be proposed lol he is working to get hospitals to remove the blood family only rules....some people dont have blood family and have to be alone at the worst point in their lives.

Robin in Montana said...

Aw, thanks.

Yes, Mulie, I'd at least call. Start out being nicey-nice and explaining the situation, and really play up the service thing, and then turn into a raging bitch if need be. I'd bet if it's the first time you've had problems like that, they'll be willing to work with you and at least take away some of the fees. That sucks!

We used to have a business acct. and a personal acct and they were hooked together. I deposited a check in one, a huge check, and in my head I thought I transferred over what I needed for the many, many checks I then wrote out of the other acct. Seems like we had left on vacation or something, becuase I wasn't around for a week or so. They bounced those checks, ran them agian, and bounced them again, until we finally had close to $700 in fees. I was pregnant with Katie, and Cami was just 3, and I was that stage of pregnancy where you couldn't look good if you had the makeup artists and hairstylists and fashion stylists of Fox Studios at your disposal, and the point where if I sneezed sideways I'd cry, so ... I dragged my pregnant ass into the bank, snotty-nosed toddler whipping at the end of my arm, with all the documents and showing exactly what I had done, and ended up crying (which pissed me off, lol) but they took every single one of those fees away, with the very stern warning to never. do. this. again. It was awful.

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon - atrocious is the word. Teach that a God of love will kill you if you don't go to their church. She did say that Grayce also told her that their church believes you'll go to hell if you don't go to their church, and I did try to point out to Katie that many, many churches all say that, so does that really make sense? Who choosess, you know? but it was late and mostly I just wanted her to calm down and be able to sleep. I'm picking her up from school for lunch out and then going on a field trip, so hopefully we'll have some time to just talk calmly about things. We'll see. Of course, she's spending the weekend with her dad, so that;ll give her two days (door-to-door ministry on Sat and church on Sunday) to have it drilled back into her head again. I hate this.

Shannon said...

Honestly I dont get how adults subscribe to that kind of religion. Having a relationship with God doesnt teach death and suffering.

I wish there was some way you could get a restraining order against the girls going to that church. I am so sorry for your girls it is no good that they are being scared shitless in the name of God.....not OK AT ALL!!!

Robin in Montana said...

RF- I don't know if there is a way to stop him. It's not even really *him so much as just that church. It is just terribly controlling by fear and guilt. I've done some research and unbeknownst to me there is apparently "secret publications" and the offer of legal assistance in the event a 'non-believing' mate tries to take the kids away from the church. So I don't know ... I know, for a fact, having grown up in it, that as teenagers they will hate it and want out,and if I'm there as that way out? I just don't know. I am sick.

Shannon - That is great news about gay rights. I think it's only fair that same-sex partners be allowed the same rights as heterosexual couples.

RiM - Wow. That is crazy re: "church".

Shannon said...

It really is Corinne. I never really thought about it so much until it was with my friends John and Jeff. I dont think that there should be anybody in the way if someone is in the hospital...Jeff wanted John there but they refused them. BS plain and simple.

Anonymous said...

Shannon - I agree with you that it was BS.I don't see how letting someone's partner in the same room as him as he is dying would cause any problem.
One of my cousins is gay and honestly, I don't see why he shouldn't be awarded the same rights as anyone else.

It makes me laugh when I hear conservative Christians say gay marriage is a threat to the sanctity of marriage. Statistics show that the divorce rate is the highest among conservative Christian communities. Just saying...

Anonymous said...

I do have issues with gay couples adopting but that is more because I'd fear for the emotional development of the child than anything else. And, if my fears were to be scientifically disproved, I reserve the right to change my mind ;-)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Morning all.

Corrine, "And the Band Played On" is long and dense. It is also one of the finest books I have ever read, and I would recommend it to anyone. Some of the info regarding the origins of HIV/AIDS is outdated as more information has come to light, but as for the movement for prevention and how it affected communities...brilliant.

Randy Shiites, the author, opted not to be tested for HIV until after he did his research, lest he be biased one way or the other. He was tested post-book and was in fact HIV positive. He's been dead for years so I don't think there's any way to update the book unless his estate does it for him.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I don't think gay couples are the issue; I think it is the level of acceptance in the community surrounding them that's the problem. My best friend growing up lived with her mom and her mom's partner. Her mom's partner was a more supportive and loving parent than her dad, but you would have sworn she was a child molester from the way the community treated them. I was pretty much the only kid who was allowed to sleep over and I always got questions like "so did you HEAR anything from the bedroom?" to the point where my mom told people if they didn't stop expressing their gratuitous, perverse questions we weren't going to socialize with them anymore.

Sometimes my mom rocks.

That pisses me off that someone misconstrued HIPPA and denied your friend visitation! I am so sorry!
And the reason that Obama had to change it is because of the mess that HIPPA has caused. Another all encompassing government regulation that has backfired.

Rhys, if you're reading, come out! :)

Lisa said...

BD, that's so good of you to do for Chris!

Robin, I just want to cry, thinking about what your ex is doing to those girls. I really believe the very best thing you could do for them right now is get them to a good counselor. Their school could recommend one and or just call a mental health hotline for your area and they can help you find one you can afford. This is absolutely child abuse and freedom of religion does not extend to cover *that. You'll need a professional to go to court with you, though, and really, they may be able to help the girls a lot in the meantime. Kids listen to people who aren't their parents but in positions of authority more than they listen to their parents, oftentimes. Another thought is to find a local church that *doesn't believe a person is going to hell simply because they don't believe in the teachings of that particular church and see if they have some type of Christian-based counseling available for the girls. That might be easier on them since it will still be religion-cased. I just hate this for them and you. :-(

KaytieJ said...

Corinne - Beautiful pictures! And your blog is not boring :-D I liked reading your thoughts on the third of the population living on a 10th of the land. Thank you for sharing.

Lisa said...

Kaytie, I know that some hospitals here will deny access to a partner in areas that are typically family-only, such as the ICU. They won't deny visitation in regular rooms, though. Another issue is that when the patient is at the point they cannot make decisions for themselves, their next of legal kin must make the decisions and, in many cases, they don't approve of the "lifestyle" and/or partner. They can specify that visitors be family only, effectively shutting the partner out. I think these are some of the problems Obama is trying to alleviate.

Anonymous said...

Kaytie - Thank you :)

"And why is the bill going to go only to Medicare hospitals and not ALL hospitals?"

This does not sound right! I'd be pissed too.

RiM- Coconut m&m's? That sounds great! We only have boring chocolate and peanut m&m's here :(

Robin in Montana said...

Corinne - these are new here. I just saw them in a little display by the checkout, so I bought them ... er, for the *kids. Yeah, that's it. They're green and brown and white and have little stamps of hibiscus flowers and beach umbrellas and palm trees on them. Yum!@

Lisa said...

Rhys, I second Robin. Get out here!

Also, I want to say that I hope you aren't too angry with me for what I said on MYOP. I'd never state my opinion as being a fact and that was purely an opinionated statement - nothing more. Thank you for having the grace and sense to understand how I meant it (I think) and not assuming I was just randomly poking at you. None of us have to like or agree with every single thing about one another and it's okay to say so. At least it's okay here. For the record, I also happen to think you're a wonderful mom and wife and that many could learn by your example on both.

*shoves a big daisy out at Rhys*

Lisa said...

Corinne, thanks for the pictures...I was wondering what it looks like. I wasn't expecting it to just look like storm clouds. I think this is all very interesting so please keep updating!

KaytieJ said...

AP - That is just nuts! That is so wrong. I want to kick some ignorant ass. Protecting privacy is very important, imperative. Denying a person their partner is so wrong. I do hope these hospitals comply.

KaytieJ said...

I am lovin' Obama on this one!
Slow on the uptake here, but do you realize what he just did with this decree? I am grinning ear to ear. If government assisted hospitals have to open access to gay partners, what are the VA's going to say when their patients' gay partners show up?
I think this is going to blow the "Don't Ask" policy out of the water and he is going to change it so that anyone physically and mentally able to join the service, has that right to do so. Thoughts?

Shannon said...

Oh this is not helping me with my procrastination of my math test LOL

I missed a lot so far today...grrrr

I think the statement about Chris is totally wrong dammit.....he is not the "Gay Poster boy" what was the word that he used to describe himself? Queerple? If people want to call pots black well then dammit they need to get the terminology right!!!

Shannon said...

Oh and Kay.....here where I live Sacred Heart hospital is notorious for denying access in emergent situations if you are not married or blood. It is pretty horrible actually. I am hoping that some of the negative stigma and situations will be removed or at least alleviated.

KaytieJ said...

AP & RF
Yep, I truly think this will open the doors to new legislation in the military to remove the, let's face it, ban on gays in the military.

I also strongly feel that it will also open the doors for the Federal govt to take a stronger stand on pushing the States to legalize gay marriages.

bookjunkie said...

KaytieJ- I do medical transcription. I work from home but still have a set schedule and a supervisor to check in with, etc. I used to love it but it's becoming harder and harder to make $ doing this. Am planning to go back to school in the fall, hopefully for nursing. I started out working nights years ago when my daughter was a baby. Have tried other shifts but always go back to nights for some reason.

Shannon- I know! The stuff about Chris really upset me. I jumped on the defense over there and then had to walk away.

Ok, going to get mad daughter now.

KaytieJ said...

Shannon - Now I get it. It is a Catholic based hospital. Sigh. I had so hoped they had come into the 21st Century. What was I thinking? I am so, so sorry Shannon.

KaytieJ said...

Cool job, Molly! I know it is tough getting steady work, though.

Shannon said...

Yes Kay I probably should have stated that in my original statement. They have changed some things from back in the day but they are still a lot ass backwards in some areas.

PJ said...

We've just been linked on MWoP - let's prep for the visitors!

PJ said...

Coffee and lamp tables dusted, carpets vacuumed, toilet scrubbed, lemonade made.....

KaytieJ said...

Oh...I better add I am not bashing the Catholic faith. I am bashing re..ridiculous Catholic hospital rules.
Now I am off to dye my hair :-D

Shannon said...

YIKES....are we gussied up enough for such things :)

kristin said...

OMFG - I am crying - we are talking abut Alien hookers.

KaytieJ said...

CK - I was thinking the same thing, so glad there was a productive one of us here to get it done :-D
I am getting my hair done for it, though.

KaytieJ said...

Well that spiked up the ole site meter!

kristin said...

sorry - I should have said at work - boss said he was going to get one of the salesman an alien hooker - I asked how you summons an alien hooker. He sneezed - and his sneeze is *unique - and my sister said is that how you call them. OMFG! We were on a roll. Bossman hurt himself he was laughing so hard.

Sorry, it was a "had to be here" kinda moment.

Sorry - should have read before I posted - I know we are supposed to be on our best behavior :P

Lindsay said...

K - I thought I was missing blogger comments again :) Just like me to miss the punch line of all the good jokes!

Hi all :) Back to lurking.

Holy SitemeterMan! I'm damn glad I ironed my apron.

Hi daisies - I've been in bed with a migraine/fever.

Robin - my mama heart is sick for you and your kids. xo

Shame on those hospitals that would limit visitors. We don't limit visitors in our ICU to "family" because often times friends are family. I consider friends and family part of the care team - every bit as important as the doctors and nurses.

KaytieJ said...

:::waving at Lindsay:::
Kristin - Even not being there it was hilarious!
Thanks for telling...I thought you referring to Mrs. Neely, our current Poster Girl :-D

KaytieJ said...

Margaret - You ROCK! And that is how our ICU is, too. Sorry to hear you have a migraine and fever.

Muliebrity said...

KaytieJ, My husband and I had a big discussion yesterday where we believe that Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been repealed and gays are now open in the Military. We are both pleased with the outcome and I hope Obama takes it a step farther and extends benefits to their partners.

Anonymous said...

I'm not surprised JM's warriors posted something negative about Chris on MWOP - they are nice supportive "christian" women until they get hateful -- and boy -- do they get hateful!

Muliebrity said...

"We've just been linked on MWoP - let's prep for the visitors!"

Great, maybe I shouldn't have been asking about Chris' functions then. Oopsie!

Anonymous said...

Mulie, don't sweat it.......per Chris "it's not every gay, I mean day, where a boatload of women are so into you, they talk about you ALL day".

Oh, he also just hollered (from the couch) "mirror mirror? I think that mirror's on a big CLOSET ifyaknowwhatimean".

We scheduled most of his therapy for the next 2 weeks and they are going to be working him hard. They also gave us an electronic pulse thing, to try and "make" his muscles open his hand. I am SO hopeful for some left side hand/arm movement in the next couple weeks.

You ladies are the best. Thank you for a place where Chris is accepted and encouraged.

Muliebrity said...

We love Chris like own very own queerpple! (Is that the correct spelling for a gay cripple?)

KaytieJ said...

Mulie - Thank you for letting me know about it now being more open in the military - I truly did not know that!

Elisabeth - LOL! Chris nailed it with Mirror being on a big closet!
Sure hope the nerve stimulator helps with the muscle movements!

Muliebrity said...

Elisabeth, Is he working with a Social Worker? Will he qualify for Medicaid soon?

Muliebrity said...

The gay/military is very new! We are excited to see change in the right direction!

bookjunkie said...

Love it, Elisabeth. Sorry some people in the world are such a$$holes, too. I was in physical therapy once for a dislocated elbow and thought that was tough. I really cannot even imagine how difficult a situation like Chris' would be- to heal and recover from and feeling like he's lost so much of his independence, too.

Really Frugal said...

Elisabeth, I think you handled Mirror with as much grace as possible when dealing with someone that - I don't have a word.

Angie said...

RF, AR is Project Runway, clearly. LOL I meant to say PR.

Angie said...

I just skimmed above - are we famous now? ::flashing rock star smile:: It's about damn time!

Anonymous said...

Mulie, Medicaid & SSDI both pending. He does have a good social worker who was originally assigned to him at Seton. The main issue with the claims is that even if everything goes perfectly.......it still takes months and months to start getting his coverage and benefits. I really don't know what they expect people to do in the mean time. They told us to apply him for MAPs, which we did.......but it just doesn't cover much. Some of his expensive meds are just not covered, and they don't cover ANY therapy (but we have appealed that......that too will take a long time)

Really Frugal said...

SW, thanks. Don't know how I missed that. I watched PR/AR. I disagreed with the judges, but I think my opinion was biased, based on personalities.

Really Frugal said...

Elisabeth, will there be any retroactive coverage? Red tape can suck the life-blood from families.

Anonymous said...

Wait a minute...there are gay people on this site? AP, why didn't you tell me!?!

;D

How is everyone today?

Brie said...

ok, I have to de-lurk here ladies. I love you! I wish I could keep up with you!

Muliebrity said...

I have no idea how that process works, Elisabeth. I just wonder what happens to people who don't have loving, devoted families to care for them. Would hiring a lawyer speed things up? Those damn TV lawyers are always yapping about getting SSDI claims through!

Anonymous said...

Hi Brie :) I lurk over on MWOP, so I "know" you, heh. Stay as long as you like, we are pretty fun!

Lindsay said...

Bella - and that one goes in "the best of" category :p

Brie said...

Thanks Bella! I hate that people are trying to send things down the tubes at MWOP. The last thing we need is another OHIH. Most of you I know, but I feel like I need a roster to keep track of everyone!

Lindsay said...

RiM - I forgot with all the madness of becoming famous and paparazzi flashbulbs to tell you I wish I had some wisdom. But I don't - I'm just plain sorry.

Hey Brie!

Anonymous said...

Brie, I wish people wouldn't respond to the trolls, that's a big part of the problem.

Hi Lindsay!

PJ said...

Hi Brie!

Hey Shannon and Kristin,
Our dear friend "I'm just a girl who can't shut up OR spell" is RT Jennifer to promote her own contest.

Thought she'd given up on Jennifer. Once more. Guess not.

Anonymous said...

RF, we don't know, but we are desperately hoping so. The ICU bill alone is almost 300k. Chris told the SW if Medicaid wasn't going to cover retroactively, she should just call Seton and tell them to ruin his credit and take the tax write off.

There has been some discussion about them paying retroactive to the day he applied.......which was weeks after the stroke.....or retroactive to the date of the "medical event". From our research tho, it seems the chance they will pay "all
the way back" are pretty much zero.

It really stinks that he paid so much into a system that is now stringing him along. He made good money as a truck driver and single with no dependants he was in a very high tax bracket. Then, poof....that tiny brain bleed changed everything. He went from a hardworking independant person with money in savings.....to being literally penniless and begging for benefits which he has already earned.

Brie said...

CK, I just saw that too. That woman is crazy! Look at her other tweets. I hope she doesnt wander back over to MWOP.

PJ said...

(whispering - she has her own blogfrog community)

Anonymous said...

Hi Brie - I hope the girls on mwop will ignore the trolls - like whining children they'll go away if everyone ignores them.

Lisa said...

Sorry I missed so much and can I just say I wish I could be someone's gay poster boy, too. I'm a little jealous only I'd want to be a girl poster boy. I guess I should specify that. So, we're going to get visitors, are we? Well, that's cool...I've got to run out so hi to anyone new who stops in before I get back. ;-)

Just remember everyone, there's no deleting or modding here. What is said, stays. Put your big girl panties on if you're going to play on Daisy. Can someone toss Chris a pair, too?

Also, MWOP? Rules. I don't want to see it get fucked up.

Be back in a bit!

Anonymous said...

CK, an entire community of bad spellers...fascinating!

Lisa said...

"Wait a minute...there are gay people on this site? AP, why didn't you tell me!?!"

I thought when I flicked bluebirds and farted rainbows you would figure it out. Sorry!

*Now, I'm gone.

Shannon said...

HELLO again LOL...popping in for a few before I have to get the hubby from work.

Brie it is awesome to see you :)

AP you may not be a poster girl but you are still awesome

CK that is so freaking hilarious....Oh and her BF community is a very lonely place :)

Brie said...

*facepalms* not another one.

I think trolls would have the good sense not to mess with you ladies! I'll admit I'm a little afraid of what you could do! ;p

Anonymous said...

So, I'll leave you with a funny story...

Yesterday I found this opened tray of cookies in the kitchen at work. No packaging. I ate about 7 or 8 (they were small!), and they were tasty, but sort of had a strange consistency. Apple cinnamon flavor maybe? So, another girl a couple hours later asks "WHO ate all the Metamucil Fiber Wafer samples?!"

I looked them up. 2 cookies=30% of your fiber intake for the day.

Can't. Stop. Pooping.

Shannon said...

I do not like seeing MWOP being overrun. It is one thing to have opposing views but quite another when people come solely for the purpose of being ugly towards others.

Shannon said...

OH NO BELLA!!!!!! That is horrible....get some baby wipes so your chocolate starfish doesnt get chaffed.

PJ said...

Bella,
You could schedule your colonoscopy since you're inadvertently doing the necessary prep.

PJ said...

AP - read your answer to the points I tried to make on your blog. Waiting with great anticipation for more of your response. Esp about not having enough jobs for everyone - or jobs that pay a living wage.

kristin said...

OMG people - I'm supposed to be working!

Hi Brie!

hi Elisabeth!

Bella - Sorry but funny!

Chocolate starfish - seriously?

PJ said...

Dear lord, Kathryn has emailed me about my comment on her blog asking her about her obsessive flip flopping.

kristin said...

lucky you CK!

I will keep my red pen to myself...anyone have the duct tape? :)

Come on CK - she just wants her 10 minutes of fame.

Anonymous said...

Oh Bella - my daughter got into my MIL's fiber bars last time we were there - imagine a 5 hour car ride with a farting 6.5 year old.

I guess that's the joy of being a size 16 - I'm always wearing my big girl panties.

bookjunkie said...

Dear Lord! I think I have found my internet people here.

Typed a chart this week where the doctor referred to the patient's "anal wink" in the physical examination. I have to look that term up every single time even though I know it's correct because it just does.not.sound.right!

Bella, bet your chocolate starfish is really winkin' for sure after that! God, that's awful.

Anonymous said...

The best part about Kathryn is she responded to a comment about her spelling problems with a comment full of spelling errors.

Shannon said...

LOL I am glad you like the reference......

My gay *GASP* friend started that term :)

Shannon said...

CK let me guess....she needs to know why you have to attack her so aggressively?

PJ said...

Shannon,
We're not there yet, but soon.

I just told her it was some friendly advice, and she could take it or leave it. But that she looked silly.

Angie said...

I make a motion that anyone who uses the term "chocolate starfish" in reference to anything other than actual chocolate be banned immediately. Do I have a second? ::sticking tongue out at Shannon::

kristin said...

later ladies!

I'm not sticking my tongue out at any chocolate starfish....ewwwwwwwwwww!

PJ said...

Put that tongue away, SW.

Shannon said...

PISH SW!!!! There will be no banning and it doesnt say anything in the rules about chocolate starfish only about POOP!!!!

PJ said...

Aren't chocolate starfish the source of poop?

Shannon said...

No CK they are actually the final barrier to controlling the poop

Anonymous said...

SW, if I bleach my asshole like porn stars do, is it okay if I call it a white chocolate starfish?

PJ said...

I don't think we have to worry about guests staying very long, with this line of conversation.

Shannon said...

God I love how I got this topic going and then have to leave to pick up the husband :)

PJ said...

Kathryn wants to know where she comes across as silly.

Um, everywhere I've every run into her.

PJ said...

every = ever

Anonymous said...

It's troll prevention, CK.

Shannon said...

CK you could always invite her to come visit us and we could all pitch in and teach her :)

Erin said...

Hola Girlies. How is everyone??

PJ said...

Erin!

It's FRIDAY! Dancing in my cubicle.

I'm sad because Kathryn thinks I don't like her, but that's my problem.

Amy said...

Hi Daisies...long time no see :)

PJ said...

See you ladies later - I must finish some work before I go home.

Amy said...

CK...waving wildly ;)

PJ said...

Oh Amy, you had to come on right now? I don't wanna leave.

PJ said...

How is university life?

Angie said...

Hiya Erin! Hi Amy! Missed you ladies!!

Amy said...

Sorry! I pick the worst times, I know...get back to work and I will check with you later!

Angie said...

God help me, I made the whole chocolate starfish thing worse instead of better. How was that even possible?

PJ said...

But I want to chat - I'm like the dogs in "Up" - but instead of "ball" or "Squirrel" it's "Amy"....

Amy said...

CK the end of the semester is right around the corner, so busy!

SW how are you doing? When is the next supper club and what are you making?

Amy said...

P&L love that movie! I had a few minutes this evening and just had to stop by. Seems mwop is getting interesting, where are those twatter trolls?

Amy said...

Bella I just had a smashing pumpkins moment with your starfish...

Really Frugal said...

I went to eat dinner and look what I come back to! tsk-tsk. Bad Grandma confession: Two year old grandaughter on Christmas Eve 4 years ago. Six adults in the house. She escaped all supervision, found and ate all of Grandma's chocolate candy - Ex-Lax. Oh Yeah. Big time grandma guilt while Daddy and Grandpa took her to the ER. She was running around the ER driving the nurses crazy until they released her with the advice to buy extra pull-ups. She was fine, but I felt like shit. All I could do was take over the changing duties for the weekend.

PJ said...

Amy - do you get time off over the summer?

Really Frugal said...

Amy's having moments with Bella's Starfish?
