I would say that I do trust SIF. I trust her as much as anyone I've met on the internets.

Finally read IM's small penis post and I didn't find it that offensive. What really got me was this guilt he has about laying other chicks before marriage. Why feel bad about that? It is what it is. It kind of annoys me that his wife touts her purity as much as she does, like it's in effort to make him regret his decisions.

Lisa said...

Mulie, I didn't find his post offensive so much as just sort of pitiful and sad. My real issue with posts like this is the repercussions his kids will face down the road from them.

Muliebrity said...

I just see his darling wife feeding into those insecurities. Even from the way she clearly edits his writings and seems to have put him in a househusband role. It's gonna be John and Kate all over again with these 2 and these posts are going to the least of their kids problems.

Lisa said...

Oh, I agree about that but outside of her followers' children, I think her kids will have a very difficult time with friends because of all this info they have put out there. Look, I'd have not allowed Jake to go play at their house when he was really young and I'm pretty open minded. You can't put this much negative info out there and not have it harm your kids.

KaytieJ said...

I am fairly certain that if my son found pictures and tweets of him going through a crisis such as Stellan's, he would be warped. My son almost died Valentine's 2009 and there was no way I had any room or time to be taking pics and tweeting. Sorry for the repeat, it is just too fresh for me.

Lisa said...

Kaytie, I agree. I admit I took pictures of Jake during his ER stint after the Great Drinking Adventure of 2007, but only after I knew he was going to live. I took them to shame him with and I showed a few people once some time had passed and I could laugh about it a little bit. But to post them publicly? Hell, no. And to do it at the time, when we weren't sure he was going to live and be okay? It would have never crossed my mind. I was too busy just staring at him, trying to drink him in in case it was the last few moments I ever had with him. To have tweeted about it? I still can't fathom it. And lord, this will forever color that day for you...I'm so glad he's okay now.

KaytieJ said...

AP - Exactly! At crisis time - no way. It is during a long term crisis or recovery from a crisis that there is time for a reflection.
And darn it, I am still so sorry that I missed so much time with you and Jake during my time with my mom.

Muliebrity said...

I am planning to twitter during birth.

Muliebrity said...

Or is labor and/or GIVING birth a better description?

Muliebrity said...

They are planning to home school their children and only have friends that idolize them anyway, so it probably won't hurt the kids for a long while.

KaytieJ said...

Mulie - Please do! We will all be waiting for that and I am not jesting there. Although L&D is one of life's most tenuous moments...it is a joy!

Muliebrity said...

I sincerely plan to do it! I want it for myself too!

KaytieJ said...

Mulie - Rethought that - have your hubby twitter us at time of onset and after the delivery. Both of you are going to be too busy during active L&D to be twittering!

Muliebrity said...

I have long labors and generally have plenty of time. At least until the puking and pooping starts.

Muliebrity said...

I think I'm going to go pass out now. Night!

KaytieJ said...

Nite Mulie! And I hear you about the P & P :-D

Good Morning all!

Good morning Taiya :)

Kristin - I'm sorry I feel asleep in my chair last night right after asking you about SO. I'm sorry you're having a tough time right now. I know it's hard to get up the gumption for a talk like that.

Kaytie - I LOVE last of the mohicans! The group that did some of the music Clannad floats my celtic boat :)

kristin said...

morning ladies - catching up.

Anonymous said...

Hi, everyone!

Kristin - I'm sorry things are not good at all with your SO. But, maybe, talking to him about how you really feel would be cathartic for you, even if extremely hard.

FT - These kids sound like a handful! ;-)

I went running this morning because I was a bit sore from the rockclimbing I did yesterday and wanted to try get rid of the lactic acid in my muscles. Apparently, I have then endurance of a 90 year-old woman stricken by asthma :D
I was mad at myself, I used to be an excellent runner (as in I ran a 20K three years ago). Time for me to take care of that! ;-)

kristin said...

Morning Corinne - I have a very happy, energetic, annoying 3 year old! :) He woke up around 6:00 and then climbed in bed and went back to sleep until around 7:45 and then was extremely cuddly - which is rare - now he is running around like a banshee (sp) and I am trying to have my second cup of coffee while reading up at MWoP.

Sorry about the run Corinne.

Morning Taiya!

Anonymous said...

Hi Kristin!

It sounds like LM is in a very good mood :)

I'm also catching up on MWoP. I haven't posted there yet because I was basically over Mck's BS but I'm relapsing and I'll probably need methadone (tx to whoever came up with MWoP = methadone)! :D

Anonymous said...

I'm watching this morning's sermon... I heard a similar sermon not long ago by a homeless guy in SE DC. His last words stayed with me though "God said come as you are". Amen!

Corinne - what's your med specialty going to be?

Muliebrity said...

Good morning! Everyone on my house has gone crazy this morning!

Anonymous said...

Margaret - I used to be a pre-med but after two years of being extremely unhappy, I realized it wasn't for me despite the fact that I was doing really well academically. The atmosphere between students was toxic, really.
So, I gave up and started studying econ, then turned to a double major of econ & sociology. I love it.

Anyways, when I was still a pre-med, I wanted to specialize in pediatric oncology.

Anonymous said...

Excellent Corrine - do what you love and love what you do :)

T@iy@ said...

Morning everyone, again. I am still recovering from... yesterday? The day before? Both. i was doing dishes this morning and hubby said i needed to sit down so I don't over do it again. That's when I realized that I am already overdone. :( Have a ton of stuff to do, too, but I will just do it with a lot of breaks!

kristin said...

Mulie - sorry - what is going on?

Why is it every time I see your name I just want to say "Mulie, Mulie, Mulie!"

Muliebrity said...

Taiya, I admire your motivation, but damn take a chill pill! lol

Muliebrity said...

There was just lots of squealing, jumping, yelling, being loud, running, barking.....

T@iy@ said...

I know, Mulie. I just keep seeing all of the crap in my house and want it cleaned up. Of course while I am cleaning one room DD is destroying another so I am fighting a losing battle, but oh well.

I really do have to put mouse poison out today or I am going to go *insane, though!

Muliebrity said...

What about traps Taiya? I always worry about poison and my animals (dog, cats) and children.

T@iy@ said...

Me, too, but this damn mouse is too smart and will not even touch the traps no matter what we put on it. Pisses. Me. Off. So we are going to put poison. Only in the basement, though, which is a 'Michigan' basement, up in the crawl spaces. That thing is going to *DIE*, though, or so help me I will end up in the psych ward!

T@iy@ said...

What did the hubby have to say about Post Secret, Mulie? I was explaining it to Matt last night. He just asked what I sent in. Which was nothing, btw. Not my thing.

Anonymous said...

I need a giant trap for my nasty neighbor - Hannah was outside riding her barbie jeep and the woman comes outside and starts yelling at me. Ugh - I really CAN'T STAND her!

kristin said...

Why Margaret? Insane! I am sorry.

T@iy@ said...

lol @ giant trap. :) I need 3 giant traps for my neighbor's kids, Margaret.

Muliebrity said...

He thought the post secrets were weird and we were guessing which ones were made up.

T@iy@ said...

Matt thought it was weird, too. I didn't read them to him, though, or show him so we didn't talk about which were fake. We just talked about the premise. It is just an odd thing, IMO.

T@iy@ said...

*Sigh* blogger. Do you suppose they will fix their problems someday?

T@iy@ said...

Our lawn needs to be mowed already. 2 weeks of nice weather in MI and the lawn looks like a field. Crazy..

KaytieJ said...

Morning!
Margaret - What on earth?! Passing you the Daisy BB gun!

T@iy@ said...

Alright, well, I took my break. Back to work. Have a great day, Mulie, Kristin, Margaret! (and whoever else may be lurking in the shadows)

Anonymous said...

What I heard was "your a GD idiot" then she yelled something other things and "your court date is May 7th". I talked with one of her renters today - nice guy from Africa. He and my husband have bonded over fishing. He said he got a letter too that she's taking him to court - no reason listed. He said she sues people all the time - he went with her once and the judge just looked at her like she's crazy. Meanwhile, Hannah can't play outside without hearing her mouth!

Anonymous said...

She's the slumlord from hell!

KaytieJ said...

Margaret - that is awful! Just wrong :-(

Fishing does do that - bonding - speaking of fishing DH and I are headed out in a bit to do some fishing. Spring Salmon are in. I am so bundled up I can barely move. When I get my coat on I am going to look like your avatar :-D

Anonymous said...

Be still my beating heart, Margaret! You think B-More is sinister!!! ::cries:::

I *love that town. I lived in a somewhat bad part of it, too. I just love Baltimore. It's dirty and full of crackheads, but I love it.

kristin said...

Fishing - so Jealous!

I am looking at Animal planet flashcards and arguing with LM that the "humpback whale" is not a humpback but a blue whale.

kristin said...

Hi Bella!

I really need to do some housework.

SO came home - and went directly to bed. Lovely!

Anonymous said...

I've never been out of the inner harbor area - I get the same feeling in Newark, NJ. No idea what it is... The entire time I'm there I feel like something bad is going to happen.

I like fishing but I like fishing without a reel - just some line, bait and a glove. I put up a picture of a channel cat Dan caught last weekend. He's crazy for the river!

kristin said...

so LM is singing - "itsy bitsy spider climbed up him underpants!" Gotta love 3 year olds!

Anonymous said...

Kristin, if an itsy bitsy spider climbed up my underpants, you would hear me scream all the way in Texas.

T@iy@ said...

I'm with Bella about the spider, and I am back again. Husband forced a break on me. Good thing because I am hungry! Getting so much done makes me happy!

"It's dirty and full of crackheads, but I love it."

Never been to Baltimore, but this statement doesn't make me really *want to go. I could get that going to Detroit, although I don't love it.

T@iy@ said...

Margaret, sorry about the slum lord. Refresh my memory...why is she suing you? What a jerk for yelling at your daughter.

kristin said...

Yes Margaret - that sucks - she shouldn't say those types of things with a child present - can you get a recorder and record her outbursts - and maybe have the judge listen to them?

Yeah for a break Taiya - I wish I could get something done but I keep playing or getting on the computer.

Anonymous said...

A.P., I commented on your most recent healthcare post. I wish I lived closer to you, because I would come over and we could have friendly, alcohol-fueled arguments about politics all night.

T@iy@ said...

That is what I really want to do, Kristin, but Matt is home and I can't get stuff done like this during the week. He can play with DD while I do stuff and it makes it so much easier on me. Plus I get a ton more done. So, as much as I'd like to sit in a bath and not move, I am making myself get to work! Only 7 weeks to get stuff ready for Eeq.

Ditto the recorder? Not cool. As much as my neighbor kids get on my nerves (which is quite a bit!) I don't yell or swear at them, *ever. I just very firmly tell them to go home and to stop playing with our stuff.

T@iy@ said...

<---needs to read AP's healthcare posts.

T@iy@ said...

And I killed it with my nonsensical attempts at conversing. *sigh*

kristin said...

i'm here taiya - playing FV and doing flashcards.

T@iy@ said...

It's cool, Kristin. :) I am just not very exciting. haha This I am used to.

kristin said...

I just had to tell my son to put his "pee pee" back in his underpants. NICE! He wanted to go outside - and it has gotten hot - and he had a long sleeve shirt and sweat pants - so I told him to take his clothes off but keep his big boy pants on and went to get him shorts and a t-shirt - came back and yeah....he is only 3 - dear lord!

T@iy@ said...

haha@ LM! DD does this and she is 2. Only not with a 'pee pee'. She loves to strip, and it isn't that warm here, yet!

Jeanette said...

Hi everyone!

CK, are you around? And if you are, aren't you an English teacher? Or is anyone else an English teacher? If not, is anyone great at writing papers?? I'm working on my first essay for my writing class and I could use an ear real quick if anyone has the time...

kristin said...

Jeanette - Hey girl! How are you doing?

I think BD is a writing teacher - and I can help if you need me to. I was my tech writing teacher's TA - and I love writing.

Lisa said...

Sounds like everyone is having a Sunday about as exciting as mine. Actually, moreso since I'm trying to determine the cause of a smell of burning rubber in my utility room. I know, you wish you were me.

Bella, I'm curious about your comment but oh, yeah, the best arguing comes with alcohol at about 3am. I'd be game often enough you'd dread seeing my face. :-D And Taiya, it's nothing exciting, trust me. Just ramblings.

Margaret, how can you have a court date and not know what it's for? I mean, how are you supposed to be able to prepare to defend yourself when you don't know what you're defending?

Lisa said...

Hi there, Jeanette!

Jeanette said...

Great! I'll take all the help I can get! So BD, if you are around, and have the time, could you shoot me an email? Kristin, I'm going to email you now. Thank you!!

Jeanette said...

Hi AP!!

Sorry I haven't dropped in lately, it has been crazy around here and I'm pretty sure I lost my last bit of sanity last Tuesday at about 7:30. Yeah, that's when my cell was stolen. I feel bad about hopping on just to solicit writing advice, lol.. hope that's ok! I'll be around more as soon as things slow down!

And for anyone that cares, I think I finally decided on a major. Well, not really, but I have it narrowed down to either nursing or respiratory therapy!

Anonymous said...

AP- I read your post and I want to comment but my brain is on strike and I can't write an articulate comment right now.

Anyways, it was interesting to read your 'plan'. It seems like you thought a lot about this.

Margaret - sorry about your cuh-razy neighbor :(

Lisa said...

"Anyways, it was interesting to read your 'plan'. It seems like you thought a lot about this."

Does this translate to "You really need a life, Honey?" :-D

Anonymous said...

AP- No, really, it doesn't! ;) I torture myself thinking about all sorts of things ALL.THE.TIME. Sometimes it even keeps me up at night :-D

Lisa said...

I do that too, yes...not necessarily just about this, though. I swear! And you've got a long life of sleepless nights ahead of you if you're already doing it. :-D Part of this stems for several years on an active welfare debate message board so it's actually been a 12-13 year process of learning, listening, reading, thinking, etc.

Anonymous said...

AP- That's really great that you're actively thinking about this :-)

I was in my high school's debate team and that's when all the 'thinking 'til I find a solution that is satisfying' started going.

Gosh, I LOVED being a part of the debate team! I really miss it.

AP - a tree in our yard fell during a storm in Jan. One of her renters, who runs a handyman/brush removal service, told us that she had filed a claim with her ins company and he was going to take care of it which seemed right to me because our ins company said in VA we clean up our side and she cleans up hers. He cut it up but left it all over the yard (which is not odd because their yard is a garbage dump). We never heard anything else until 2 weeks ago when we received a letter from her that she's taking us to court. Most of our neighbors are nice and have lived here for a long time. She's the exception and gives everybody a hard time. She's a wealthy woman but very grifty - eek!

PJ said...

Hi all,
Say, who was it who coined RV? Was it Bella or BD?

Lisa said...

Margaret, I remember you telling that story...so she's wanting what? The cost of cleaning it out of her yard? I'd love to be there for that hearing!

Anonymous said...

CK - It was Bella who came up with RV! :)

Anonymous said...

I don't know what she wants - she's nuts. She called the INS last year on the African guy saying that his paperwork was not in order. Then she bailed him out and paid for his lawyer. I looked on the court's website today and she has no active cases so I think she's just threatening us so we'll clean up her yard.

PJ said...

Thanks Corinne! Bella, shout out to you. I did a powerpoint show for church with a story involving Mr. Potato Head and Mr. Corn. It's part of a series I've named "Adventures in Root Vegetables". I'd send you a royalty, but no money is exchanging hands.

Next episode: Taters of the Lost Ark!

Afternoon, Daisies!

Afternoon ladies! I took a nap with the little guy!

Can I just say how much I truly hate dealing with and storing hurricane wood? That is all.

Lisa said...

Actually, no, that's not all. If I didn't live in Florida, I'd not have to deal with hurricane wood. Reason #362 why I hate Florida.

kristin said...

Hurricane wood...is that like morning wood? ...sorry, couldn't help myself.

But really, hurricane wood? I am not familiar with it and I live in a hurricane state.

Lisa said...

Lol, no, not the same. :-D Kristin, don't coastal people there board their windows and doors up with plywood when one is aiming in? I've got enough to cover 13 windows, an 8x8' glass door and the glass panel next to my front door...it's a monumental pain in my ass to store.

kristin said...

ahh....yes - my bad - I was thinking firewood ....we don't do it up this far north - although we do get some pretty damaging winds.

When I lived in Galveston - yes, but a lot had the hurricane shutters.

I can imagine they are a pain in the ass.

Lisa said...

I'm trying to clean my utility room out - a 6x10 room that houses my washer, dryer, freezer, hot water heater, tools and allll of that goddamned wood. I'm feeling foul.

kristin said...

couldn't you just get a picnic area or something - i know down this way we have a lot of parks with pavilions that are fairly cheap to rent - just a thought - and I know if you talk to some people they will discount stuff.

I know when i used to volunteer for an organization - they did a volunteer appreciation day and I got ice donated if we promised to mention them.

dammit - wrong blog - that is what I get for subscribing to comments! :)
