...and she sings (quite well) about daisies. It's almost like she's one of our own, isn't it? Let's give her her 15 nano-seconds of fame, shall we? :-)
My back is killing me :( but I have decided that I am going out tonight. My BIL's band is playing at the crawfish fest tonight and I have a babysitter lined up and I am going - SO is staying with the cook-off team - and I am going to enjoy myself (or attempt to).
This means I need to get off my ass and get ready.
BD - ROFLOL! You are so cute, but damn...that was quite the visual! LOL! Thank goodness Taiya is on date night with the hubs and SW is off to her parents' :-D
He's seems to bring out both sides of the spectrum in people. I think I am the sick puppy, I would LOVE to sit down and talk for hours and just listen to his views of national and international politics and negotiations. I find him fascinating in that way. How pathetic is that?
Kathryn posted a voice mail from Compassion that says they are not handling JM's giveaway.
She also posted the following on JM's blog:
First Jen who is going to draw the names because I just talked to compassion and they know nothing about this contest and you states that compassion is picking the names? They said they are not affiliated with you or the contest what so ever? And these are the supwrvisors telling me?
Then Ok got the whole thing cleared up every thing is lagit! Thanks for the contest! And for a great cause!
Hey, I am giving away an iPad on my blog, too. You just have to make a donation to my Paypal account to gain an entry. $20 for one chance, and an extra chance for every $20 you donate thereafter!
I'll be weeping on my knees, shouting "Hallelujah" soon enough.
We decided we will drive. 12 hours, but we will rent a car for the week, and with the money we will save we are going to stay at a nicer place. I can't believe the cheapest flight was going to be about $550 for two people.
Bella - I would much rather donate to your cause...at least I would know for sure where the money is going and you are straight with it...and hey only one click :-D
I wish MWOP would ban her! They delete the comments she doesn't delete herself half the time. I would just like her banned from my life! Damn that psycho, Kathryn!
Bwaaaahhahahahahahahaaaa! Okay, Smartasses, who sent me the almost naked picture of Matt Burch? That was funny as hell, but disturbing. Kudos to you. :-D
Why, why, why, indeed. I do wonder whatever happened to Krista, or if there even was a Krista. If she was really a real person, if she simply stopped pretending and went back to real life as a suburban mom of 4...what?
"Lazy night tonight. Tomorrow I have to take pics of Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Corn with body parts in strange places. For church."
Oh, sorry, I missed that question. *sighs* I'm a runner. When things get uncomfortable or frustrating, my natural instinct is to run away. Two days ago, I think I might have actually given into it except my car was broken down which not only added to the feeling but kept me from doing it.
Kristin, thanks for asking. I am fine. Tired, but fine. Just super busy.
Baby O is fine (thanks for asking, SW). The shower has been rescheduled for 5/22, which is great, because O. should be home by then, a bit ahead of schedule, b/c she's gaining weight quickly. I am holding another baby shower that weekend, on 5/23, so I'm going to be baby showered out.
So glad I could provide a good visual for you all. :)
Oh, I'm alright...just a lot of crap piled up at once and I overloaded. Hiding might be better, more adult...I start having these thoughts that I'll just walk away from it all and drive to some place no one knows me and start fresh. I'm so mature, I know.
Miss Arse is doing better, bit by bit. The doctor wants that eye to heal very slowly and thoroughly. She goes back this coming Thursday and is hoping the infection is deemed over and surgery can be scheduled. Personally, I don't think it's all better yet. Thanks for asking. :-)
Kathryn is probably one of the most ignorant people I've run into online. She is the main reason I left Mck's BF. I can't stand to be in the same cyber-space as her. You can try to read her stuff on MWOP, but she deleted 95% of it. I doubt she ever donated to CI. She told JM she could afford to buy a kid, but she has a $700 stroller she shows off on her blog.
It was fine. We went to lunch and then he napped for a few hours because he was really feeling the 2 days of travel and 13 times zones. He is up and handing out presents now, but he's ready to crash again. Has to be back at base at 0800.
I got a pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings. They are colored and beaded. I only looked at them for a minute, because the kids were grabbing at them. I also got a Chinese robe, as did the whole family and he brought a bunch of outfits for the baby. He also brought all kinds of different handmade wooden puzzles.
Oh, okay, that's not so bad then. Of course, that readjustment will probably suck for you. Or maybe I'm projecting. Jake's dad traveled a lot and while I was always glad to have him come home, as soon as the novelty wore off all he did was upset my routine and disrupt "my" house. I hope that's just me, though and that it doesn't happen to you.
FT, no, my neighbors are okay. It's some situations Jake is in and while I'm not going to elaborate due to certain people who lurk here, I'll say that he's done *nothing* wrong and is in no real trouble, per se. He stood up and is fighting against something that is *very wrong, although I'm not at all certain he's chosen the best path to fight it. It is at worst aggravating and at best, pretty damn admirable, what he's done. I'm both pissy and proud of him right now, but he's ticked off some people who could (and probably will) make our lives awfully frustrating, simply due to their influence in the area. And while I just love me some internet drama, I *hate* it in real life.
CK: Love me some Carol Burnett. Wild Rice? I'm not sure... not in mainstream grocers I don't think. But Bulk Barn maybe. Why, you have a good recipe? I'm game, does it require extra time to cook?
AP: Oh, I *see. Ugh. Well it sounds like you admire him for taking a stand anyway, right? I think that's great and I know we moms want to pave the way and not have our children's lives difficult.... I get that. Without knowing more, I'll say that if he's taking a stand for something that's *right* I admire him too. Especially if he knows it's going to cause him some problems. Unless he's in danger, the rest will just resolve itself. It's good to learn to deal with nasty people early on. He'll need those skills his entire life. I think all you can do is guide him, protect him as much as you can, and tell him you're proud that he wants to do the right thing. But I think you already know that.
I hope I'm not sounding glib because I don't know details. And I'm sorry it's causing you some grief, I feel for you as a mom, I really do.
I *do use a Whole Grain Brown rice but that's not the same thing I don't think. I think I know what you're talking about. Sounds like it would be *delicious in a soup.
BD: would it be heavy? Maybe a small amount? You must send me a recipe to go with it. Something... soup-y? What a cool idea, I would love that, thanks!
I smelled a poop smell coming from my sons' room after the 2 year old's nap. I checked on him and he was naked, asleep in his bed. I found the diaper, but no poop, so I just put a diaper on him and let him sleep.
When we were putting them to bed we could still smell poop, so I asked Hunter (2 year old) where the poop was and he said, "White der." And sure enough, there was poo on top of his black dresser. And then I saw a big wad stuck to the dark wood blinds. Then when I was making one of the beds. I got a glimpse of the back of the door and it was like Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo had danced all over the bottom half of the door. It's like it's been baked on. So nasty. He got out of bed on his own after the nap, so I hadn't been back into his room since I diapered his sleeping bottom.
and I'm confused...fersher told CK to come to Daisy????? ummmm...I don't want to think...b/c I am exhausted..and I've had a few adult beverages. 2.5 hours of sleep plus 4 or 5 beers equals really tired (excuse my typos).
just got home - didn't eat crawfish - ate something called a pistol - had bread which soaks up alcohol :) LM is awake - he fell asleep before sitter got here (5:30) and woke up around 9:30 or 10:00 - going to put him to sleep soon.
It was either Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo dancing around the room South Park style, or the rat decorated with poo like rogue monkey at the zoo. Nasty little boy! This particular poo was akin to clay, so maybe he was confused. He certainly knew what I was talking about when I asked him where the poo was though.
I just found out that my grandfather is being stubborn and refusing a tube for breathing- apparently the swelling is compromising his breathing but he thinks a tube is life support.
but they also got the pathology back and it is the more aggressive cancer - and they docs are giving him 18 months. Craptastic. :(
Kristin, That is awful! He is still in FL, right? As difficult as it is, they have to do things on their terms. My Grandpa had a relatively short battle with malignant melanoma (brain and lung) and the are so many other things I wish he would have done. He did things his was and that was that.
There was a sliver of poo on the dresser (it's black and I didn't see it until the baby pointed it out) and a chunk in the blinds. It's the Jackson Pollock with poo on the back of the door I'm most irritated with. That is just gross.
Will this count towards too many poop posts (grin)
Mulie: For some reason some boys fingerpaint in poo. You have an artist blooming there!
BD: I am IMMUNE to Politicians and Doctors when it comes to riding pony style :-D However, when you get that gumption, just give me a holler, I have a set of sparkling spurs and butter soft chaps I can send you (wink)
AP - Whatever it is that your boy is wanting to be the Knight in Shining Armor for, I know that it is because of the strong ideals you gave him. Doubt you will get this post it so late, just back from a basketball game.....but just know that we Daisys are here to help as we can. I'd give you a hug, but I stink (much loved quote from a dear friend).
Kristin - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa. When the time comes I would recommend hospice. I've seen in my professional life how amazing they are and had a great experience in my personal life during Cecelia's last weeks. xo
AP - the good news is that hopefully this rough patch won't last long but now you know what your son is made of and that perhaps is your silver lining on the days when you want to run. xo
He was out after a trip to the store - around 5ish - babysitter came at 5:45 - so she had it easy. I got home around 11:00 and she said he woke up around 10:30 - so he came with to drop her off - and then we watched one "moobie" and I put him down around 11:30 - and he slept until 7:00 - I hope his schedule isn't all messed up.
Kristin, it sounds like you had some fun last night. Way to go, lady!
Poo here, poo there, poo everywhere - I have to be honest and say that when I hear some of the stories of what little kids do, I am a tiny bit grateful my kids waited until they were older to give me that kind of grief. At least their issues then didn't involve bodily functions.
Except I did catch my 10 year old son's vomit in my hands once.
CK - I hear you. My daughter was such an easy baby, nice toddler, caring child - I'm afraid she's going to be hell on wheels during her teenage years!
We had a full moon two weeks ago - I shook my wallet at it three times, as I always do, and I got a check yesterday for almost $80 from a lab company from an overpayment in 2007? When there's a full moon shake your wallet at it three times and a little extra money will come your way - never fails for me :)
I am feeling grateful that my daughter just goes on the floor in a pile when she strips naked. There is no wiping, throwing, etc.
Date night was great! Concert was good (although i sat down in the lobby for the last band because my legs were swelling. :) ) Then we went to IHOP because I really wanted it and we got to see some guy get arrested for drinking and driving. Saw them give him a sobriety test and everything. :) Then DD was nice and let us sleep in until 9.
As far as poop - the only issue I had is when LM had explosive stuff and it went up his back - other than that - no smearing, throwing, painting, etc.
I did have a good time - although I talked teaching a lot to a girl I just met from Minnesota - my BIL is her boyfriend's PT. It was a good time and good people watching. A lot of skinny (and not so skinny) girls in tight, short shorts - and last night it was in the 50's. My mom was freezing - it was funny! We had to buy her a sweatshirt even though she had a t-shirt, a sweater, a jacket and a blanket. LOL.
oh I remember now - CK - Kathryn is a nutso - what was she getting all defensive about on MWoP and trying to take credit for exposing JM and CI - whateva!
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Hi ladies - fersher sent me here -
Kathryn posted a voice mail from Compassion that says they are not handling JM's giveaway.
She also posted the following on JM's blog:
First

Then
Ok got the whole thing cleared up every thing is lagit! Thanks for the contest! And for a great cause!
lagit? She is loco in la cabeza that is for sure.
How are you CK?
Kristin - I'm tired - glad it's Friday. Avoiding work.
Yes, I know Kathryn is whacked. And she can't spell. Kristin and I had great fun with her a few weeks ago, after she was stupid on Shannon's blog.
Haven't said anything on MWoP about this - because sometimes you can get info from people who aren't all there.
Now she's saying she heard something different from Compassion about their knowledge of JM's latest MckMoneyMakingScam.
Still a mess, she is.
2 lagit to quit, that's me.
how's it hanging, ladies? Or should I say laid-ie, for BD and Bill?
alright ladies - sitter is here - I am going to finish getting ready.
CK - we did have fun - and she is an idiot - I saw her tweets to JM - praising her and stuff. Wackadoodle.
Anywho - have a good night. I might be back later.
::sniffing pits:::
Hey, I am giving away an iPad on my blog, too. You just have to make a donation to my Paypal account to gain an entry. $20 for one chance, and an extra chance for every $20 you donate thereafter!
I'll be weeping on my knees, shouting "Hallelujah" soon enough.
I'm so naive, I can't believe there are women like Kathryn who would be posting and tweeting two sides of the coin. What has happened to honesty!
It doesn't take a brain surgeon to see someone doing that, Margaret...I wonder why she thinks she wouldn't get found out, ya know?
You should run a 50/50 on your blog for Baltimore money Bella :)
I wonder where the nasty grammie is in all this mess?
Margaret :)
We decided we will drive. 12 hours, but we will rent a car for the week, and with the money we will save we are going to stay at a nicer place. I can't believe the cheapest flight was going to be about $550 for two people.
Don't summon her!!!
She's over at her blog, talking to herself... still.
Bill Clinton looks like Mr. Magoo with hair.
I am trying to resist the temptation that is Kathryn, since I've never encountered her. She sounds like fun. :-D
You wouldn't like her, AP. Her spelling is maddening.
Her grammar is worse. My head hurts just trying to read it, much less understand it.
Bwaaaahhahahahahahahaaaa! Okay, Smartasses, who sent me the almost naked picture of Matt Burch? That was funny as hell, but disturbing.
Kudos to you. :-D
First she says she's blocked from JM's blog, then she says she uses another account, then she says she's blocked.
I could go on.and.on.and.on.
Just like she does.
CK, why did Fersher have to send you here when you come here anyway?
I'll head over and read some of her stuff. I'm in the mood to toy with someone stupid.
I wasn't here at the time I was chatting with Kathryn on MWoP this afternoon - and people here were talking about her.
I think during that convo on MWoP fersher wanted me to know Kathryn was crazy, and sent me over here to hear that.
It's all okay - The Husband says he has it under control.
Ahhh, okay. I was confused there. It happens easily, don't mind me. :-)
Me too, AP. Easily confused in my old age.
I was just so damn proud that I understood her hint to come here.
I was reading Kathryn's blog and for whatever dumb reason, this cracked up up. I mean I literally laughed out loud. I need to find places to use this.
"Why I own a cookie jar??? Who Knows!"
AP - how are you doing today? I haven't had time to go back and ready today's talk.
Kristin went out tonight? Good for her.
Lol, CK, I can relate. It's that "Oooooooooohhhhh" moment, isn't it?
ready = read
I'm hanging in there. At least I'm not thinking about running way today. You?
And yep, I'm glad she got out plus that must mean LM is feeling better, too. :-)
AP - I wonder who stole the cookies from her cookie jar. Who Knows?
The shadow knows.
*twitches eyebrow at CK*
AP, the real question is Why, Why, Why?
AP - Just tired. Cold is slowwwlllyyy getting better.
Lazy night tonight. Tomorrow I have to take pics of Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Corn with body parts in strange places. For church.
Why were you considering running away, AP?
Why, why, why, indeed. I do wonder whatever happened to Krista, or if there even was a Krista. If she was really a real person, if she simply stopped pretending and went back to real life as a suburban mom of 4...what?
"Lazy night tonight. Tomorrow I have to take pics of Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Corn with body parts in strange places. For church."
Do they worship?
When no one's looking.
Are you going to take pictures of them doing it? I'll post them. :-D
I am glad to hear you're feeling better.
Hmmmm - let me give that some thought.
Running away? Are you running away from my question about running away?
::she must be out farming::
Oh, sorry, I missed that question.
*sighs* I'm a runner. When things get uncomfortable or frustrating, my natural instinct is to run away. Two days ago, I think I might have actually given into it except my car was broken down which not only added to the feeling but kept me from doing it.
ROFL...shut up.
Are you ok AP?
Days like that are tough. I'm not a runner, I'm a hider (under the blanket on the couch).
How's Ms. Arse? Cataract surgery soon?
Back...

AP - I hate that you are dealing with a bunch of nonsense. Maybe it will go away as quickly as it piled up?
Kaytie, you want to talk politics with a politician, instead of just porking him? Crazy!
AP: Sorry you have a bunch of crap on your plate. I wish I could be of some help; if I can, please feel free to e-mail me. Even if it's just to vent.
Somehow, I don't think so, Mulie, but we can hope. In the meantime, I'm getting some very clean closets. :-)
Mulie...it just dawned on me. You're here? How's the husband, how was the reunion?
Thanks, BD. I really do appreciate that more than you know.
AP: My pleasure. :)
I'm sorry AP, (insert some pebble of wisdom here to make you feel better)...
Mulie - how was the homecoming?
Margaret - How's the allergies?
It was fine. We went to lunch and then he napped for a few hours because he was really feeling the 2 days of travel and 13 times zones. He is up and handing out presents now, but he's ready to crash again. Has to be back at base at 0800.
Damn, he doesn't get a day off? Well, did you get any good presents, Mulie?
He has to be debriefed for a few hours and then he should have the next 2 weeks off to readjust.
I got a pearl necklace, bracelet and earrings. They are colored and beaded. I only looked at them for a minute, because the kids were grabbing at them. Oooh, jewelry! He did good. Especially pearls. :-)
Good evening! I think I'm all caught up!
AP: is it the rotten neighbours? Or just tell me to mind my own business. Sorry you're feeling this way though...
Mulie, oooh, presents! Debriefing sounds.... mysterious. The kids must be climbing all over him!
I want jewelry. The hundreds of dollars of Arbonne and Pampered Chef I just ordered just aren't cutting it. :)
FT, no, my neighbors are okay. Hi FT,
Back from watching our 2nd Carol Burnett Netflix special.
OT - do you have Wild Rice in Canada? Do you ever use it in recipes?
CK: Love me some Carol Burnett. Wild Rice? I'm not sure... not in mainstream grocers I don't think. But Bulk Barn maybe. Why, you have a good recipe? I'm game, does it require extra time to cook?
I have a couple of good recipes. You usually cook it ahead of time, and then use it things (don't just serve it by itself).
I'm just fishing here....
I was wondering if it's just a Minnesota thing, or if people use it elsewhere.
AP: Oh, I *see. Ugh. Well it sounds like you admire him for taking a stand anyway, right? I think that's great and I know we moms want to pave the way and not have our children's lives difficult.... I *do use a Whole Grain Brown rice but that's not the same thing I don't think. I think I know what you're talking about. Sounds like it would be *delicious in a soup.
FT - I think you'd like it. Hmmmm - idea here....
Night all - I live too much life during the week to have a much of a life on Friday night.
See you tomorrow.
FT: I can send you some wild rice, if you'd like to try it. It would be my pleasure.
AP: Whatever has happened with Jake, I applaud him for standing up for himself, and you for standing by him.
BD: would it be heavy? Maybe a small amount? You must send me a recipe to go with it. Something... soup-y? What a cool idea, I would love that, thanks!

anyone here? I am trying to catch up. I wish I could screw with Kathryn, people like that amuse me!
Oh, Mulie. Ugh...on the blinds and dresser? And back of the door? How?
and I'm confused...fersher told CK to come to Daisy????? ummmm...I don't want to think...b/c I am exhausted..and I've had a few adult beverages.
2.5 hours of sleep plus 4 or 5 beers equals really tired (excuse my typos).
Kristin, you're up late! How were the crawdaddies? I was sort of jealous about that.
OH, oops, met a couple from Minnesota today CK - thought of you - we talked teaching - she teaches in a low income school - I may apply -she likes it.
AP - you can run away to texas :)
just got home - didn't eat crawfish - ate something called a pistol - had bread which soaks up alcohol :) LM is awake - he fell asleep before sitter got here (5:30) and woke up around 9:30 or 10:00 - going to put him to sleep soon.
You okay AP?

This particular poo was akin to clay, so maybe he was confused. He certainly knew what I was talking about when I asked him where the poo was though.
I still haven't been able to get all the poo off the back of the door.
oh Mulie - sorry about the poo. Yuck!
I'm even more grossed out that he went around all evening with poo germs on his hands!
I just found out that my grandfather is being stubborn and refusing a tube for breathing- apparently the swelling is compromising his breathing but he thinks a tube is life support.
but they also got the pathology back and it is the more aggressive cancer - and they docs are giving him 18 months. Craptastic. :(

I am exhausted- I am going to bed.
no sleep and alcohol - wipes.me.out - night!
sorry I didn't comment on all - I am exhausted -and about to fall on my face.
night - for real!
Haha! No big deal! Get some rest, sister!
Ok, so there is poop on blinds and dressers?
I've been drinking. Weight Watchers, be damned!
There was a sliver of poo on the dresser (it's black and I didn't see it until the baby pointed it out) and a chunk in the blinds. It's the Jackson Pollock with poo on the back of the door I'm most irritated with. That is just gross.
Wow, Mulie, that is a significant amount of poo.
Wow.
I'm going to bed now, in my poo-less bedroom, while I say a little prayer that my uterus does not become full of child....
Goodnight, poopers!
Good night!
I'd give you a hug, but I stink (much loved quote from a dear friend).
morning ladies!
It is way too early for my son to be playing drums - I cannot wait for my sister to have kids - payback is a bitch! :)
Happy Saturday.
Kristin - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandpa. When the time comes I would recommend hospice. I've seen in my professional life how amazing they are and had a great experience in my personal life during Cecelia's last weeks. xo
AP - the good news is that hopefully this rough patch won't last long but now you know what your son is made of and that perhaps is your silver lining on the days when you want to run. xo
morning margaret!
My daughter was up early today too - we're going to the circus today - but not until 1:30 - ugh! So is LM feeling better?
Umm, yeah, BD. I was *eating this morning when I read that little gem you left about Billy Boy. Oh. my. I couldn't decide whether to gag or laugh. :)
Morning everyone!
Mine was up early today too.
He is feeling better - thanks!
He was out after a trip to the store - around 5ish - babysitter came at 5:45 - so she had it easy. I got home around 11:00 and she said he woke up around 10:30 - so he came with to drop her off - and then we watched one "moobie" and I put him down around 11:30 - and he slept until 7:00 - I hope his schedule isn't all messed up.
morning taiya. How was date night?
Glad LM is feeling better, Kristin!
Taiya - so it was like an episode of COPS at IHOP - nice :)
Exactly! Even better was the running customer/waitress commentary and oohs and aahs. It was big excitement at the IHOP. Late night snack and a show.
Well, I am off to do some cleaning and stuff. Later Daisies!
Nice Taiya!
LOL.
Alright - need to get ready for swim practice.
bye taiya!
was going to say something....hmmmm....obviously not coming to me! crap!
Not so skinny girls in tight shorts - eek!
I just read Poland's President was killed in a plane crash and they found the other 4 WV miners dead. Sad.
that sucks Margaret!
okay - I'm out - see ya later!
*** new post up ***
oh I remember now - CK - Kathryn is a nutso - what was she getting all defensive about on MWoP and trying to take credit for exposing JM and CI - whateva!
anywho - have a great day and I'll see ya around!
