I'm having puppy fever. I just saw the most beautiful German Shepard. I want one seriously bad. I want to teach it the German attack commands because I'm evil like that. I also want to name him Hans.
Was just watching the new "Eclipse" trailer on Oprah when the freakin news busted in to tell us there was an officer down...with minor injuries! Annoying.
Hello Ladies... I have a job and it is even the one I wanted. Only downside is I have to go away for 2 weeks for training so have to figure out how to get youngest taken care of and to school on time and such. All worth it in the end though since that mean paychecks still :)
GINGER! WooHoo!!! What a relief! Hope you find someone to take care of your youngest - but great news! What is the job (just general, no worries if you do not want to say).
LOL! CK - I tend towards those anyway - that one I felt needed a special warniing (g). Seriously now - good luck with your Power point presentation that you have been working on!
Oh! And Margaret - aren't you having a fund raiser for the homeless students tonight? Good luck with that! You are awesome for getting involved with it.
Ginger - WOW! I have a friend that does that and there is some scary events that can happen. My friend loves it, though. I am glad that you got the job you wanted!
Kaytie- I don't mind it, it's just a higher lvl of what I do now but there have been some bad incidents in the last 6 months so I am a bit iffy about going out there. At least I will be on nights and most will be sleeping and for those not we (nurses) will be in a locked area.
CK - Oh go for it! Wait 'till I can get there, though, in case the audience needs CPR :-D JUST KIDDiNG. I do wish we could see your PPTs. They sound very interesting. I love making videos and ppts presentations.
I'm thinking "Do You Love Me" from Dirty Dancing - I can mash-potato, (I can mash-potato). And I can do the twist, (I can do the twist). Now tell me baby, (Tell me baby). Do you like it like this? (Do you like it like this?) Tell me, (Tell me),

Ginger - I am glad they are investing more training in you and not just throwing you in there.
Off to iron my scrubs and try to unsnarl this mass of hair. AP - I have let it grow out to midback. Figured I wanted it long one more time while I could :-D
Kaytie-yeah training will be nice but I worked an even higher lvl before I came to where I am now, used to work with the MInD and Pred Off so this will actually be a bit of what I was first trained.
Well I'm home - LM does not have a dresser and all his clothes were dumped on his bed - NICE - and he switched dressers in my room - and all my clothes were on my bed.
Also, large hamper was in the laundry room so kitty couldn't go to the bathroom or eat.
Oh well. He also switched the couches, so at least I have something to sit on...and I have internet :)
Hope you have a good night, KaytieJ. Love the neighbor thing. Totally sounds like something I would do. My neighbors are mostly elderly. Love them but they sure do love to talk.
Kristin- I am so sorry. Wish I had some wonderful advice but I don't. =( Hope you get some downtime just for you this weekend though. Sounds like you do so much for others and some time for just you would be good. Thinking about you this weekend. Just saw your update. Damn SO for dumping the clothes. Glad you have internet though!
I'm making my grocery lists and getting ready to brave Friday evening Publix. I've got a busy social schedule this weekend. Tomorrow night I'm hosting a "game night" for 7 friends and me. I don't have to do much for that. We'll be ordering pizza, and I'm going to make my favorite cookies and sopapilla cheesecake bars. I'll post both recipes here.
Sunday night is Supper Club, and we're doing our progressive supper that I told you guys about. I've got appetizers and am making Giada's beef pops, a baked slider, and beef empanadas. I'll let you know how it goes.
Mulie- the article actually highlighted the things that I like about FV. ha
Kristin- funny about "eek" "eeq"! I read it that way at first, too, then had to double check. The way she is jumping around today I would think there was an interuterine Chuck-E-Cheese.
Day From Hell at the old office...I am now decompressing with a beer, and Jay and I are going to a great German restaurant for dinner later, so things are looking up.
Kristin, glad you have internet and such. Sorry he was being male and dumped shit out everywhere. Remember, I have an upstairs that you could come stay in, and you are not even on the krazy meter like our old pal, Krista. We could drink beer on the deck together and apply for the Amazing Race :)
The dog decided to have diarrhea on the carpet this afternoon. I just finished steam cleaning. Crappy Friday afternoon, but I feel it turning around.
SW - he is fine - he asked about the couches and asked me if "____ buy new couches mommy?" and that was it. It's nothing new SO not being home, b/c of his schedule he is not normally home in the evening. So really, other than furniture missing and clothes everywhere - all is good.
Not the old office, I should have said the "ol' office". The drug seeking crazies come out on Friday afternoons...woe is the one who stands between them and their Vicodin.
I was thinking my upstairs could be used as the "Daisy Decompression Chamber". Stressed out girls could come and rest, and I will get them drunk and cook them steaks on the grill. And Wii bowl, of course.
AP - you were encouraging me to include some potato worship a few days ago, weren't you? (Perhaps it was just a subconscious wish for you and RV.)
Margaret - did you see my answer about the estate tax (inheritance tax) - unless she was incredibly rich, her estate probably doesn't exceed the amount that is exempt from tax.
Don't forget your high heels and your Aqua Netted bangs, Sandy. The south side Irish have marinated with the Polish and Hispanic population around there, and the results are horrifying. Pasty redheads in white capris with visible thongs, smoking Salem Slim lights and batting their frosted eyes at the drunk "good" boys their moms want them to marry. Oy!
Bella - I feel for ya. And after they get their stashes, they come in OD for me. It's a vicious cycle. Glad you get decompression time and enjoy! Love your Daisy Decompression Chamber idea!
Kristin - You are amazing and will get through this. My 2 cents is that he was there and gone when you and LM were out so that there was no ugly or awkward scene, even if he did make a mess. Glad you still have interenet and a couch!
Taiya - Hope the heel heals up! And good luck with your party tomorrow. Did you get your 450 lbs of frosting spread?
SW - Sounds like a fun weekend. Can I be your neighbor? We can completely ignore each other except on specially scheduled events :-D Looking forward to your recipes!
AP - I'll get a pic to you sometime - but no sharing :-D It really is boring. I have it in a braid right now. I like flinging it around - except when it bops me in the eye.
Oh...Daisy moment...instead of ironing my scrubs I just ran them through the dryer again :-D
"Ma, I don't care if Patrick is an electrican and went to St. Symphorosa. I think he has fetal alcohol syndrome."
Actual comment to my mother, about 10 years ago. She told me Patrick seemed like a "nice boy" and that I should talk to him at a family party. The best part? He's related to me by marriage. Appalachia has nothing on the Irish regarding inbreeding.
Nope. I made 3 batches of buttercream frosting and it is in the fridge, but that is as far as I made it. I am going to try to do the outlining tonight and maybe Abby's eyes, then do the rest tomorrow when I (hopefully) will be feeling better. Either way I will be more rested and be able to concentrate more. :)
5 minutes until I have to feed my stupid FV dog! I don't want the damn thing to run away. They should have a German Shepard that you can train to attack.
Hi CK - I checked with our tax guy today and I think I understand it now. I know nothing when it comes to taxes, just that I pay them and I don't want to mess with the IRS :)
Mulie, I saw that. We can see what our medical folks say, but it sounds dire.
Kaytie said: "SW - Sounds like a fun weekend. Can I be your neighbor? We can completely ignore each other except on specially scheduled events :-D" Perfect! I always ignore my neighbors, so you sound ideal.
AP, we'll play things like Pictionary, Cranium, Taboo. This particular group has not been together for a game night before, but I think it's a really fun group and expect a lot of laughing. When I was young (in my twenties) I used to be super competitive at games. Nothing is less fun than playing party games with someone who cares about the outcome. Thankfully, I grew out of that. But before I did, I had a friend curse me at a party over a Pictionary game. She got sick and tired of me bragging about how great I was at the game -- and I WAS great, mind you -- and she let me have it with f bombs.
He's a pig, but he's very articulate and smart. I think I watched a couple "Rock of Love" episodes, but I just couldn't handle all the drinking and skankiness. Is that a word?...
Muliebrity-That was funny. Is that a weave? Say it ain't so! Not trying to be funny, but I really do wonder how badly he was hurt when he hit his head on that stage coming down a few months ago. That was rough.
Jill, is everybody in Georgia freaking out about the bad weather heading our way? Our city cancelled a big arts festival that was scheduled for tomorrow. We tend to overreact to the weather though.
It's a Dell, Taiya. My old one (which I dropped and broke) was a 17inch, and it was just too heavy. This one is a 15 inch and is much lighter. I like it, except for the pinging space bar.
Jill said: "Weren't you the one that wrote a paper on the legalization of sex toys in Alabama SW ;)" Yup, that was me! :-D Not *all sex toys, Tara, but devices used primarily for the stimulation of genetalia are. Or something like that.
the pooping dogs, the crazy stories, beer, etc. wow
life is looking up for us too. saw a good dr, she was very kind. i've got some meds now and some hope. it's all income based, too. so... yay! help, comfort and kindness.
she even knows a family that does a support group in our area of special children.
better living through chemistry. that's where i am. but the ledge was thin, i could barelyhang on anymore. i'm glad. hopefully i will feel more capable soon.
i'm still looking for that good news - like 4 drooly feet of puppy! (:
Well, my toolbox is WD-40 and duct tape. I didn't think duct tape was the appropriate tool, so I went with my other tool. I suppose you're right on the warranty thing. It's probably like a train outside your bedroom window, you eventually get used to it.
would you believe i was panicked over this? yea. i thought they'd lock me up and throw away the key or say 'sorry, deal with it, life's rough'
she said any one thing would have been too much for a lot of people. she was surprised i was still functioning. she said 'sometimes you can't bootstrap anymore, and that's ok' she thinks once i start feeling like me, i will feel more like being active again.
Kristin, I have pretty much pieced together what's going on from peoples comments to you, and let me just say that I am really sorry. Chris says if you can get a day freed up, come party Austin Queerple style. (which apparently involves jelly bellies for him & vodka for those of us NOT on anti convulsants)
Seriously...we may not be living the high life but starbucks sneaks us coffee & panini freebies when the manager's gone and Chris says if worst comes to worst, he can mistake the vicodan for jelly bellies and offer you some jelly bellies=)
Pretty sure he was joking about either the vodka OR the vicodan. ;)
I really am sorry for what you are going thru, in all seriousness. There is just nothing you can say to ease the pain of a relationship ending. I'm just really really sorry. We'll be praying for you and for LM.
And please consider our offer, if you can couch surf it for the night=)
I just saw the comments about Bret Michaels. Chris' injury was initially categorized as a "massive brain hemmhorage". So I wonder if it's a similar injury or circumstance.
I have always thought he was a tool for refusing to admit to using hair extensions. But he was one of the voices that made up the soundtrack to my youth and I know he has 2 little girls and I'm praying for him tonight.
Jill- stay safe in that weather! I too was pissed at needing an AD. Then I was pissed about the weight gain. Now I know I can be fat and pleasant, or *slightly less fat and a psychotic bitch.
Mulie- and he just had his appendix out on april 12th. It had ruptured. That is no good. Hey Tara. Just went to pick up my kid. Your song came on. It happens every.single.day!
Do you know what two songs I hear nearly every day, and that is not an exaggeration?
Rapper's Delight, by the Sugar Hill Gang, or White Lines (Don't Do It) by...someone.
At first I dismissed it, thinking it was on the Old School channel but they are everywhere. Those radio stations really want to get their money's worth from that vinyl/
I take one too, and I really hated having to take them. Until my doctor said "Why? If you were diabetic, you would take insulin." Which is true, unless I was being an ornery bitch. "To hell with you, organs!"
Tara, it does. I really want one. I had two slices of bread for dinner and...well, I don't think I had breakfast. Fried zucchini sticks for lunch, which are massively unhealthy but.taste.delicious.
Does anyone have a Bloody Mary recipe they'd mind sharing? I need one for the showers and could use some advice. I want to make from scratch, not a mix. Also, the spicier the better, as I like to be feeling the Mary for a bit after I've finished it. :)
BD: I take them as well, was diagnosed with Bipolar at age 14. My Doc and shrink have told me the same thing. There's such a stigma attached to depression when there shouldn't be.
I'm watching a re-run of The Office. LOL Michael and Andy brought some girls back from a restaurant and they're singing (together) Karoke "Your body is a wonderland" Oh, how I love this show.
We've had a crime wave. A neighbor's house was broken into in broad daylight and Miss Wreva and I caught a guy scoping out the neighborhood tonight, we think. I bet they're related. It's the first break-in we know of really close to us since Miss Arse got hit in '97. So, here I sit with all my windows and doors closed up tight and no a/c, it's pushing 90 in my house. I? Am a grumpy bunny. Blah.
Tara, I am not bipolar, but I do have chronic, major depression. As much stigma as is attached to depression, bipolar has even more stigma, I think. I'm sorry; from what I see on here, though, you manage it well.
Tara, the gym is doing fuck-all for me. (pardon) As much as I'm there, you think I'd drop a few pounds. I've altered my diet somewhat, but no progress as of yet. Damn genetics.
Bipolar sucks. I have to go every 6 weeks for a meds check and usually have to tweak it. I'm very thankful that I have Bipolar II, not Bipolar I. That's the scary one. I could be much worse.
Tara, I make killer liver, I swear. Even people who don't like liver taste it and at least admit that for liver, it's not bad. Liver, with veggies in a pita...my dinner tonight. :-)
Rihanna does Rude Boy and it's pretty catchy but my God, if my folks had ever heard those lyrics on the radio when I was a kid, they'd have individually herniated in an effort to turn it off. Youtube it, you'll see. That said, I still like the song.
I've given up on trying to lose weight. I like to eat and I loathe exercise. Genetics does suck though.
My friend just moved back to town and she's a Pilate's instructor. She said give her 30 hours and she will transform my body without me changing much of my eating habits. Have you tried that or Yoga?
Tara, if you don't mind me asking, how did you manage your intake of medication while pregnant and/or breastfeeding? My previous doctors both allowed me to stay on Prozac which I no longer take. We have put off having another baby for at least a year (boo) but I do wonder if my current medications will have a bearing on my pregnancy. Since I had such a scare while with M (not AD related), I am nervous for the next visit at the rodeo, if you know what I mean.
I used to do both. Now it is a matter of finding the time. My gym has free childwatch for 80 minutes, so I can drop them off while I do cardio and weight bearing exercise (which I do to fight the osteoporosis that the women in my family seem to get), but there's no time for a class. It would take some reworking of my schedule, which I am too lazy to deal with. So, maybe next year, when M is in preschool.
Nah, no window units. You know how every area has it's little quirks about what's trashy and what isn't in a neighborhood? In some areas it's parking on a lawn or whatever. Window units are white trashy here. I don't mean they *are in general so don't anyone get their panties in a wad, but that's how they're viewed here. It's our quirk, I guess. Not only would I die a little in shame, I suspect some of my neighbors might not be thrilled.
Oh, and don't ask me why it is 80 minutes, and not 60 minutes or 90 minutes. It's 80 minutes, and they are sticklers for that, I guess because it is free and people might take advantage of it.
BD: I actually didn't take my meds when I was pregnant. Surprisingly, my moods are very stable when pregnant. Those have been the times I have felt happiest. I didn't nurse Thing 1, so meds weren't an issue there. For the other 3, I was (and still am) on Lamical, which is "safe" for breastfeeding. I never started back up until later though. What do you take now?
AP, I think there are units you can put in the center of the room, without causing Window- Unitgate. Kind of like a space heater, only it blows cold air.
Karen, I would get the dog tomorrow but I'm afraid that my Yorkie would become a chew toy. You know since I want the German Shepard to attack and every thing. LOL I will somme day have Hans the Attacking German Shepard, oh yes I will.
AP: I think they're viewed that wasy in most places. But, if it's between that or getting robbed, I'd choose trashy. ;o)
BD: That is random, 80 minutes. Maybe they figure an hour to exercise and 20 minutes to get dressed/shower, etc.?? We haven't had a gym membership in years.
I take Zoloft and Abilify, but I don't think the Abilify will be long term...it was prescribed to speed up the effect of the AD, among other things. I think she (doctor) will eventually wean me off.
My previous psych. thought I might have ADD (which I do not) and put me on Provigil, and I did not sleep for DAYS. I couldn't...I just could not shut down. I was up for 50 hours straight at one point. It was a little scary, but man, was I productive.
Mr. Tara is laying next to me on the couch and he's snoring SO loudly. I keep shaking him to tell him to go to bed, but he just mumbles and goes back to sleep.
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

That's all I got. Back to playing Mahjong.
going home ladies - see ya!
Bye Kristin. ((HUGS)) Please email me if you need to talk.
You ladies are a kick - German attack commands and jammies through the coffee shop drive through.
Boo, Facebook isn't working.
Kristin, I'll be thinking about you! We all are.
Jill????
What's up with FB?
Kristin hope things look up this weekend.
No matter what, the end of a relationship sucks.
Jill, I was wondering about that. I figured our loser IT guys finally got around to disabling it so nobody can access it fro work.
FB gods are looking kindly on me - working here.
Kaytie, Ha! I so would have blown by them too!
CK it was down for a bit. I checked twitter and some other people were having issues too.
It's up now.
Was just watching the new "Eclipse" trailer on Oprah when the freakin news busted in to tell us there was an officer down...with minor injuries! Annoying.
FB wasn't working for me either, Jill. Of course it pissed me off that I couldn't complain about the damn news busting up the "Eclipse" trailer.

SW - hehehehe - For some odd reason I figured you would appreciate that one! Priorities :-D
And I am laughing, both times today, I have been posting away on the old post! Thanks CK for the shoutout!
GINGER! WooHoo!!! What a relief! Hope you find someone to take care of your youngest - but great news! What is the job (just general, no worries if you do not want to say).
Well KaytieJ - at least it was just a "Shallow, meaningless post"
Congrats Ginger!!!
Ginger, that's great news!
Great news Ginger
LOL! CK - I tend towards those anyway - that one I felt needed a special warniing (g).
Seriously now - good luck with your Power point presentation that you have been working on!
Thanks All, I will be working at a locked unit with high risk MH clients. We get them when they can't be at home :)
Thanks KaytieJ.
I'll be doing ppt number 4 of 5. This time Mr. Potato Head and Ms. Potato Head meet in a bar for a blind date and try to "get to know" each other.
No worship on the first date, however, AP.
CK, what song did you decide to go with for your latest root vegetable creation?
:::hanging head:::
my spelling and grammar are crud....i should have bought three coffees. wondering home many more neighbors i can blow by.
Still don't have one SW - I actually need another one for week 4 too (see description above).
week 3 was a potato with a big head.... You're So Vain is an option for that.
i'll take any ideas!
Kaytie- I don't mind it, it's just a higher lvl of what I do now but there have been some bad incidents in the last 6 months so I am a bit iffy about going out there. At least I will be on nights and most will be sleeping and for those not we (nurses) will be in a locked area.

I do wish we could see your PPTs. They sound very interesting. I love making videos and ppts presentations.
I'm thinking "Do You Love Me" from Dirty Dancing -
I can mash-potato,
(I can mash-potato).
And I can do the twist,
(I can do the twist).
Now tell me baby,
(Tell me baby).
Do you like it like this?

ginger - congrats on the job!
Ginger- great news on the job!
CK- great song pick. I agree with KaytieJ, the PPTs sound very interesting.
Gotta get some work done on this lovely Fri. night. See y'all in a little while.
Well, Kristin, I'm glad for the good things, like internet and having a couch to sit on. Your attitude is commendable. How's LM?
I'm making my grocery lists and getting ready to brave Friday evening Publix. I've got a busy social schedule this weekend. Tomorrow night I'm hosting a "game night" for 7 friends and me. Ginger - great news!
KJ - the fundraiser for the kids is tomorrow (hopeing it won't rain)
CK - I think I'd like your church :)
That fungi is SCARY!
Cecelia's pre-estate sale is tonight. People are parked on her lawn. MUST NOT LOOK OUT WINDOW!
I think our sea monkeys are multiplying!
Good evening Daisies.
Mulie- the article actually highlighted the things that I like about FV. ha

Kristin, I don't know what to say :(
Kristin- sorry about all of the mess with SO. Wish it could be easier on you and LM.
I am trying to figure something out for this auction, but I am coming up empty!

Margaret - :(
I just got an email from Breast Booster. It's about an invisible strapless bra. Just throwing stuff out there. ::stands in corner looking around::
Bella - awesome! Ya never know - I do have family up there :)
I am actually trying to think about what I am going to do this summer - and right now, I might come in to Chicago - not sure though.
"No worship on the first date, however, AP."
Why did you aim that at me? I'm not the moral police!
"(Tell me baby).
Do you like it like this?
(Do you like it like this?)
Tell me,
(Tell me),"
Isn't this for church?
Ginger, that's great news about your job!
Kaytie, get a picture of your hair - I'm curious!
old office? What were you doing there?
Sorry about the dog shit - that is no fun!
Breast Booster reminds me of the stuff Uncle Rico was selling in Napoleon Dynamite..."Bust Must".
Not the old office, I should have said the "ol' office". The drug seeking crazies come out on Friday afternoons...woe is the one who stands between them and their Vicodin.
Bella, we can take Kristin to Archer Ave and break some bottles. That would be great therapy. *nods*
I was thinking my upstairs could be used as the "Daisy Decompression Chamber". Stressed out girls could come and rest, and I will get them drunk and cook them steaks on the grill. And Wii bowl, of course.
Kristin, I'm sorry EXSO left a mess but he could have left things far worse, so I guess that's good. I'm just glad you still have internet.
Sandy, just don't watch. Force yourself not to. I hate sales like that.
SW,, you do have a busy weekend planned. What kind of games to y'all play?
Sandy, that would be great. My uncle really does own a bar there. We could drink for free...all the Schlitz you can handle.
All you can drink Schlitz!?!?! I'm putting on my going out on Sunday tube top!
The Husband and I must go do field research for the blind date.
The local Chili's will be wondering why we are photographing potato toys standing next to margaritas and nachos on their bar tables.
CK- Double date? ROFL
Später, baby..
::from high school German class::
Oy!
Sandy,
I'll order a Schlitz and think of you.
Thanks CK!
::taking notes on what to wear for the all you can drink Schlitz party::
I'm off for a bite of schnitzel and an Erdinger Weiss! Smell ya later, Daisies!
Margaret - ((((())))) Shut the curtains and stay to play here.
TTYL!
Well, I'm out for a while ladies. Running to the store to get some Schlitz and movie munchies! We're watching Peter Pan. Fun Times.
Glad I'm not the only one that plans their nights around feeding their FV dog. One is grown, then I got another.
I'm a sucker for these damn games.
Hi CK - I checked with our tax guy today and I think I understand it now. I know nothing when it comes to taxes, just that I pay them and I don't want to mess with the IRS :)
Did you all see Bret Michaels has had a massive brain hemorrhage? Can a person come back from that?
I just read that Muliebrity. So sad, I'm thinking his chances aren't great. I do hope he can pull through. :o(
Evening ladies! How is everyone? It's cold and rainy here, snow is on the way. *sigh*
Ginger-that's FANTASTIC news on the job!
CK- That video sounds awesome. Can you make the Mr. and Mrs. sing the old Chili's theme song, the one about Babyback Ribs? Please???
I didn't know much about Brett Michaels until I started watching him on Celebrity Apprentice. But I like him a lot on there.
I wonder if his weave could have caused it?
He's a pig, but he's very articulate and smart. I think I watched a couple "Rock of Love" episodes, but I just couldn't handle all the drinking and skankiness. Is that a word?...
Muliebrity-That was funny. Is that a weave? Say it ain't so!
Not trying to be funny, but I really do wonder how badly he was hurt when he hit his head on that stage coming down a few months ago. That was rough.
Looks like they think Bret has a chance to come out of it. At least from what I read.
Skankiness is definitely a word, Tara. Or should be.
I got a new laptop this week and the space bar has kind of a musical ping to it. That's gonna get annoying.
Oh good, I hope he does. Brain injuries are so scary. :o(
What kind of laptop, SW?
Tara- I do believe skankiness is a word. If it wasn't before it is now.
That IS annoying, SW. I bet you can turn it off. Did you call the Geek Squad? They'll come right over in their geek Bug.
Jill, is everybody in Georgia freaking out about the bad weather heading our way? Our city cancelled a big arts festival that was scheduled for tomorrow. We tend to overreact to the weather though.
*thumbs up* I think skankiness is a fine word. I'm glad the both of y'all agree.
Beer me, please.
It's a Dell, Taiya. My old one (which I dropped and broke) was a 17inch, and it was just too heavy. This one is a 15 inch and is much lighter. I like it, except for the pinging space bar.
Oh well. We're under a Winter storm warning and we could get up to 16 inches of snow. So Georgia can kiss my booty!
Glad you like it. Must be away to turn it off? Hopefully. I can see where that would get old.
Hi J&R! :o)
Where are *you at, Tara?! Blah.
I just looked at 9news and saw that Tara. My husband was hoping to watch the Rockies tonight.
Did you go to Google Univ. and ask how to turn it off?
I didn't remember that you were in CO?? Did they cancel the game? My parents went down to watch.
In Colorado, Taiya. We've had snow in May here. Winter/Spring lasts forever here.
I used to be in Greeley. We moved to ND 11 mos ago. The game has been cancelled.
It's not an electronic noise, it's a mechanical one. More of a squeak than a ping. Icanjuststopusingspacesandit'llbefine.
"My old one (which I dropped and broke) was a 17inch, and it was just too heavy. "
That's what she said.
Weren't you the one that wrote a paper on the legalization of sex toys in Alabama SW ;)
Yeah, they are freaking about the weather. I don't think any of the activities for tomorrow have been canceled yet though.
Oh, that's right. I remember now. :o)
Good thing they canceled the game, the weather sucks here right now! It's really windy, too.
Sex toys are illegal in Alabama? Huh.
LOL Jill @ "that's what she said".
::writing a note to remind self not to move to Colorado::
SW- it would make reading your posts a lot more interesting.
Jill said: "Weren't you the one that wrote a paper on the legalization of sex toys in Alabama SW ;)" Yup, that was me! :-D Not *all sex toys, Tara, but devices used primarily for the stimulation of genetalia are. Or something like that.
Where are you at, Taiya?
Michigan. We have just enough snow for me. I don't want it in May.
::passing J&R a beer minus a few swigs::
Sad about Bret. My boys are huge fans and have been to a bunch of concerts.
Tara, TOTALLY a weave! That's why he wears a hat and/or bandanna!
SW- No one plays scrabble with me anymore :( Apparently it is not polite to call people stupid-lying-ass-cheater-bitch. Who knew?
Seriously, EL, people are so touchy!
Thanks, EL!
I've seen Poison a few times. I do like him on the Apprentice, too.
::googling Bret Michaels weave::
kristin
yuck about the mess. i'm glad LM is doing ok and that you have 'net.
everytime i read SO, i think Strategic Op. XSO had me checking my sheet corners and worrying about the XO (executive officer) coming by
Kristin, That does totally suck. Feeling for you, sister!
Rhys, Hi!
sw!
i am catching up.
i know i will forget someone.
the pooping dogs, the crazy stories, beer, etc. wow
life is looking up for us too. saw a good dr, she was very kind. i've got some meds now and some hope. it's all income based, too. so... yay! help, comfort and kindness.
she even knows a family that does a support group in our area of special children.
<<<--- watching something something Morgans.
And Mulie? I feel you on the donut thing.
Sorry, I'm serial posting. I'll stop.
SW: Oh, that sucks! Wonder what would happen if you sprayed WD-40?
Rhys, glad to hear things are looking up! You deserve a stretch of good times.
Let me know how it is, Taiya. It looked terrible.
Where in Michigan are you? I'm originally from Grand Rapids.
Tara, don't stop. (that's what she said, I know, Jill.)
Not sure WD40 is a good idea. Might void my warranty. I think I'm starting to get used to it.
sw
better living through chemistry. that's where i am. but the ledge was thin, i could barelyhang on anymore. i'm glad. hopefully i will feel more capable soon.
i'm still looking for that good news - like 4 drooly feet of puppy! (:
I never knew it was a weave. Learn something new every day.
Rhys- yay for the good dr!
Well, my toolbox is WD-40 and duct tape. I didn't think duct tape was the appropriate tool, so I went with my other tool. I suppose you're right on the warranty thing. It's probably like a train outside your bedroom window, you eventually get used to it.
Jill- what kind of weather are you suppossed to get?
el
thanks
would you believe i was panicked over this? yea. i thought they'd lock me up and throw away the key or say 'sorry, deal with it, life's rough'
she said any one thing would have been too much for a lot of people. she was surprised i was still functioning. she said 'sometimes you can't bootstrap anymore, and that's ok' she thinks once i start feeling like me, i will feel more like being active again.
I am from around Kalamazoo. Have a few friends in GR, so we visit pretty often.
"Well, my toolbox is WD-40 and duct tape. I didn't think duct tape was the appropriate tool, so I went with my other tool."
Ha!
Rhys, that's really cool that the Dr. was so nice and understanding. It's such a relief when you find a good doctor who doesn't make you feel bad.
Rhys- I never realized how badly I felt, until I didn't feel that way anymore.
EL epic thunderstorms and tornadoes. You know, because we need more rain.
"I never realized how badly I felt, until I didn't feel that way anymore. " Sigh, I was there too.
SW the squeak might go away after use. (that's what she said)
Jill & EL - me too.
I too subscribe to the better living through chemistry philosophy....
Rhys,
I think chronic stress can be really hard - you have to deal with it day after day after day. It wears you down.
LOL Jill! FTW
just looked at site meter - sure have a lot of texans "lurking" - hi conroe, houston, mission!
I was going to drink, but my eyes are burning.
I am going to clean the kitchen and go to bed.
Oh, and used the new Dyson and I like it, was going to vacuum tonight too but I think I am just gonna climb in bed.
Sleep is good medicine too, Kristin!
::waving to the lurking Texans::
el, jill
i just never thought i'd need it, and i didn't realize how bad things were getting
I took a Unisom, so i am off to bed. Night Daisies.
rhys you don't realize it because you are in the trenches day after day. Your mind is always on Lia and how she is doing, you forget about yourself.
I resented the hell out of having to take an AD day in and day out at the start, but it was take that pill or lose my mind.
Taiya - if you're still here - what is Unisom for? My pregnant niece is taking it too.
Night Taiya! Unisom is to help you sleep, CK.
goodnight ladies!
Sleep well, Taiya and Kristin!
Thanks SW -
Goodnight Kristin.
Night Kristin. I hope you get a good rest.
I'm reading that Unisom is helpful for morning sickness.
The latest said he is concious and talking, which is good.
Jill- stay safe in that weather! I too was pissed at needing an AD. Then I was pissed about the weight gain. Now I know I can be fat and pleasant, or *slightly less fat and a psychotic bitch.
I don't believe Bret was in great health. Have you seen him on the Apprentice? I could not believe what an issue his diabetes was!
Elisabeth, I am picturing you as a 50 year old woman, but I know you have to be my age or younger. You are really working your butt off, sister!
I'm back. All of a sudden my night went to hell. Kids are in bed now, it's quiet. Ahhhh.
Mulie- and he just had his appendix out on april 12th. It had ruptured. That is no good.
Hey Tara. Just went to pick up my kid. Your song came on. It happens every.single.day!
It's a very popular song right now! :o)
EL, ha to this! " Now I know I can be fat and pleasant, or *slightly less fat and a psychotic bitch."
I need a burrito, but I'm home with the kids while Mr. BD gallivants, so I guess I'm SOL.
Hidey-ho.
Yumm. A burrito sounds so good.
RE: the anti-depressants.
I take one too, and I really hated having to take them. Until my doctor said "Why? If you were diabetic, you would take insulin." Which is true, unless I was being an ornery bitch. "To hell with you, organs!"
I can't go anywhere without hearing "Rude Boy" and let me tell you, pray that your little ones never start singing *that in public.
Tara, I have some leftover liver and veggies. I can wrap it in a pita and call it a burrito. You want one?
*gagcoughgag* Liver??? I'm going to kindly decline.
Rude boy? I haven't heard that.
I'm sorry you're hungry BD. Mr. Tara brought home some pizza after work, but it didn't taste good. I could totally go for Qdoba right now.
AP ruined the good burrito dream with her liver.
Blah.
It's my own fault; I should have picked one up on the way home from the gym. :)
::smacks Tara as my moth waters from the thought of Qdoba chips and cheese::
my moth AND my mouth
I know I'm going to have to duck for asking, but what is Qdoba?
::hides in the bushes::
AP, that's scary!! Stay safe. Get a window untit!
EL: Have you tried a naked burrito from Qdoba. Oh Em Gee. So delicious!
BD: yes, you should have! I should have gone to the gym. *pats belly*
Qdoba is like Chipotle, only better.
Tara, I am not bipolar, but I do have chronic, major depression. As much stigma as is attached to depression, bipolar has even more stigma, I think. I'm sorry; from what I see on here, though, you manage it well.
Um, opps.
untit=unit.
Tara, the gym is doing fuck-all for me. (pardon) As much as I'm there, you think I'd drop a few pounds. I've altered my diet somewhat, but no progress as of yet. Damn genetics.
Un tit. Lol!
Tara love the naked pork burrito!
What exactly is an "untit?"
I want to imagine it is what you call a girl wearing an A cup.
just coming on to check in today - been a long day...
Sandy - My dad had a german shephard named Hanz - he was the best dog ever! Get one!!
Do you mahjongg on facebook? omg - I am an addict!
Going to read more.... just had to say all that..
EL: Aren't they the best??
AP: I just couldn't do it. I'll just take your word for it. I do like veggies though. :o)
AP-that's scary!
We haven't had a gym membership in years.
still catching up...
SW - can you please also post the recipe for the beef empanadas? Patti loves them, I haven't a clue how to make them.... want to try!

Yes, you said this...
