I'm back. Some litle mother fucker just bashed my mailbox off with a baseball bat. Mailbox, the post and all. Hubs saw the guy after the fact. Little jackasses stopped in the middle of the street. One got out of the car and based it in. Fuckers. If I find them so help me got they will wish that they had a butt plug!
We did but hubs didn't get the license plate number. It's pouring here. Hubs is now on stake out. We have lived here 6 years and this is our 5th mailbox disaster. This time the pretty post that is attached has been destroyed also.
Sandy, I hope thelittle punk chokes on your mailbox.......
Mulie, he doesn't qualify for section 8. You can't have a dual app for ssdi AND section 8 at the same time. You also can't be accepted into section 8 within 12 months of be granted ssdi. Not applying- but being granted. I had to have our social worker repeat some things so I could record them.......it is so arbitrary and confusing.
AP.......Chris says for tearing up, your lesbian card loses one punch, and you are that much further from your complimentary bath salts. He also says HIS card loses a punch, because he cried and it was for something other than a sale at the gap or a new Cher cd. But apparently it's not a big deal because he doesn't care about the free muffin basket. In fact, he says you should switch.
Mulie, sorry.......I meant to tell you in my other post. Our house is just SO tiny.......there is literally no room. It's a 1BR cottage, the little 2nd BR was walled out to make a bigger living room. Of course we knew we'd move before having kids so we were just SURE we would never need that little 2nd bedroom.......sigh My parents house has stairs in too many places, shower stall too narrow for his shower chair, basically neither place is very practical and since he said the thought of "home" with his cats is what kept him going, we decided to try and make it work. Also, my parents and I both live 30ish miles from his apartment, which is RIGHT down the block from Seton Medical Plaza.........so the money we save in gas on his many dr appts is also a consideration. (several of his drs plus his phlebotomist are at or right next to seton)
Realistically if he weren't getting the ssdi, there's no way possible we could have hoped to hold on to it. Between Medicaid covering his therapy when it kicks in and the ssdi covering at least a chunk of the rent, I am hopeful we will be able to keep him in the apartment. He hasn't complained about giving anything up- his life savings for the first part of inpatient therapy, his car.......which was a purchase he worked toward for YEARS as well as his first ever new car.......all of his luxuries, travel, his job which he loved and was a huge part of his life.........but he begged us to keep the apartment if there was any way we could.
He knows it's a month to month thing, but he also knows if we can just skate by until the ssdi kicks in, we can probably make it.
It is gorgeous outside - 61 - I just opened all my windows. LM is outside and I think I am going to make bacon and eggs for breakfast and try to put this house back together :)
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Goodnight, Jill and Mulie.
Sandy, did you call the police? That sucks.

C is so scared now, she's throwing up.
I'm here, all caught up now. Everyone's probably toddled off to bed.
Poor C, that's not something she needs to deal with. Is she worried about her safety or just scared because well, I guess it's a scary thing. Shit.
