Laura, I'm awfully sorry to hear about the death in your family. :-/

Shannon said...

Rhys I took pics of the dresser for you. I also was wondering because I am old and my memory isnt so good.....werent you the one on SIP who talked a lot about Vitamin D?

Shannon said...

OOOOOO Sandy are we gonna get Robin when she comes in?

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon - it was Rhys who talked about vitamin D, yes. I bought some then, but slacker that I am, I have not taken it.

Lisa said...

Thanks, Sandy!

Okay, things are running better for me now, blogger-wise. What about everyone else? Did we solve it, do y'all think?

Robin in Montana said...

:::stalking in and pointedly ignoring the spatula-wavers:::

Sneak attack!

Anonymous said...

I think it runs better this way myself.

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon -- still going on about vit D. RHys can correct me, but I want to say she said you can safely take up to 8,000 iu a day. Maybe more? (I read somewhere just recently 10,000).

I wrote a post to you on the previous board. Would you like me to copy and paste here?

He died last Wednesday 10 min after the respirator was removed at 32 years old after emergency quad bypass and a subsequent heart attack. He left behind a wife, 1 year old daughter, a baby due in Oct, and his father who is bed/wheelchair bound after a stroke 7 years ago. My uncle lived in the house with cousin.

Now the battle for power of attorney begins. In short the only reason cousin and wife had a life was b/c of uncle's support. The sisters of uncle want power so that his affairs are taken care of so that there are funds for his care and also so that wife has a home to live in. There are hidden assets as uncle is a conspiracy theorist The wife wants power of attorney, b/c she is the caregiver of uncle now. Huge mess, and I hope that wife can see that the aunts are really trying to help her to have a house and no worries/ care responsibility to the uncle. The aunts have nothing to gain except that their brother will be cared for. Nothing is in wife's name only in uncle's and cousin's names.

Shannon, also 15 minutes in the sun without sunscreen. There are reports that children are very low on Vitamin D because of the high SPF sunscreens. Rickets is also making a comeback.

Anonymous said...

Hi Laura, I'm a new daisy. Sorry to hear about your cousin and the resulting POA crisis :(

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Sandy, I did not know that! Thanks for sharing.

Shannon said...

Thank you Robin. I remember all the talking of it and was hoping I remembered correctly.....guess I should have been listening better then.

Lisa said...

I'll go get it, BD.

Shannon said...

Sandy as the weather is getting nicer the plan is to walk with the puppies everyday so hopefully with the supplements and the walks in the sunshine I will be good to go.

Robin in Montana said...

Laura - I am so verry sorry.

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon -- Yes, I guess you should have been. ::pops you upside the head with a spatula:::

Shannon said...

Dang Laura....so much stress in such a hard time. I am so sorry for all of it. And he was only 32? That is scary for sure.

Shannon said...

DAMMIT AP NOW I NEED SOME DISABILITY PAPERS TOO!!!!!

Though I dont think I am as embarrassed as Robin with the spatula smacking....there are underlying issues with her I am certain now.

Lisa said...

BD, I can't find yours and my last one about a new post is missing, too. We were right at the 400 mark so that might be the problem - it ate them, at least for me. If you can see yours, could you please bring it over here so I can read it? Thanks!

Erin said...

"Lesson learned. Don't clean your windows."
Amen, RiM. Amen.

laura said...

Shannon I hate to say that we live 8 hours away and I'm very glad for the distance right now. Genetics are scary and we all know that even recessive happens. SO we all need to take care of ourselves. Let's go outside walk our dogs and have a daily dose of Vit D to lift spirits and prevent rickets.

Lisa said...

"DAMMIT AP NOW I NEED SOME DISABILITY PAPERS TOO!!!!!"

I'm just going to make a bunch of copies and everyone can help themselves. I think we'll be needing them.

And underlying issues...lol.

laura said...

AP How are Miss Arse's eyes?

Anonymous said...

AP- We'll need them after the mutiny occurs.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Oh basically I was just clarifying that I don't logically think that everyone who has a Confederate flag is a racist. It's just an (ironic) assumption that I can shake off. And that I really do think this is the end result of being raised in the North, where many people think of Southerners as reactionary freaks. I don't feel that way, but I've heard it.

laura said...

Margaret Thanks for introducing yourself. I've been absent and lurking, b/c I'm pretty boring and don't do conflict very well. I can only think of things days later when they are irrelevant.

Shannon said...

Laura I can really understand your being glad for the distance. Unfortunately at times like this distance can help to save relationships.

laura said...

We went up for the funeral, and it was just so very sad. The gentlemen met many relatives that they might not have met otherwise. We also took a driving break at Hershey PA and had a fun time as a family.

Lisa said...

Laura, her eyes are there. That's about it for now. She had a sonogram on the infected one and will have the results next week - they thing the cataract itself is causing the infection because it's such a terrible one on that eye. If so, they're going to remove it but have warned her things may not go perfectly. She's game anyway. The other one they'll do last and expect it to be successful. Thanks for remembering and asking. :-)

laura said...

Eyes are scary to me. When I was working as an anatomist, the eyes always made me squeamish. I agree about just going with the operation, sometimes the risk is worth it in the long run. How does Jake feel about the death in the stream of that awful man? See I have been lurking....

Lisa said...

BD, thanks for bringing it over here and I do understabd what you're saying. Shannon mentioned the swastika and she's right, it's much the same thing. I look at a swastika and immediately think Hitler, Jews being killed, etc. However, that's not it's origin; Hitler took something that represented good and used it to represent his own ugly agenda. Now, people look at it and it holds a negative power for them (and me).

How are we going to know when the mutiny starts? I'm going to hang in the back and tear bandages and need to know when to start triaging the wounded.

Robin in Montana said...

I think this mutiny was all a lot of talk. The drinking will start soon, and it will all just be a pleasant memory of the glory days.

Lisa said...

Awww, it's Margaret Nightingale!

Lisa said...

Well, shit, it's it's just a lot of hooey, I'm going to go take a nap.

Hey Laura, I'm a new Daisy also.

Rhys, checking out your site. Your photos are gorgeous!

Can't remember who talked about Dial, Lindsay maybe? Tried the cucumber one and could not *believe how much of a strong (good) scent it had for a bar soap. Love Bath & Body stuff but love the price of Dial even more. Putting the cranberry on my list.

Shannon- glad it's not your thyroid. Hope the vitamin D helps.

Margaret- thanks for doing the Crafts for Chris thing. I think it's a great idea.

Off to get my car tag renewed. Supposed to have been done in March so praying a cop doesn't get behind between here and there. See y'all later.

Tara. said...

Afternoon ladies. I'm not even going to TRY to catch up on the 400 comments from the last post.

Laura, I'm sorry to hear about the death in your family. :o(

Hope everyone else is having a great day!

Robin in Montana said...

Hi Tara!

Hi BJ! My tags are due by 4/30 as well, $200-plus. Stupid Montana. I miss that about Oregon, for sure.

laura said...

Tara

What ever happened with the dance song and your daughter?

<--------- Memory like an elephant

Robin in Montana said...

Tara - I'll recap. A mutiny was threatened and everyone chose the kitchen utensil of their choice as a weapon. I was unfairly bitchslapped with a spatula.

AP and SW had a spat about the Confederate flag, but it seems as though they will not break up over this.

Shannon said...

$200+ for tags in Montana???!!!!! Damn I thought the $50ish here in Oregon was crazy!!! Those tags better last for longer then 2 years LOL

Lisa said...

Lol, I just noticed something. This was an auto post made last night but it's got a battle cry of "Onward!" on it. It appears I'm also psychic.

Tara. said...

Hi RiM! That sucks about your tags. They're expensive here, too. Booo!

Anonymous said...

The flipping backspace key just went flying off my keyboard. Did the mutiny start and nobody tell me?

Off to pick up the spawns from school and work Market Day. Fun Times.

Ladies please be careful with the untensil. We don't need anyone getting hurt befor the battle starts.

Anonymous said...

My husband got pulled over last year in my car when I forgot to renew. He had to go to court for driving an unlicensed vehicle. That wasn't a pleasant evening!

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon -- they're once yearly and it's based on the value of your vehicle. I drive an '04 Ford Expedition, so last year it was $238, this year it's .. I forget, but something like $212. It also depends on what county you live in and the income of that county or something. It'd be cheaper if I lived in Flathead County by a little bit.

Sandy- look for Taiya's ninja star Cuisinart blade. That's probably what took out your space bar.

T@iy@ said...

Which Daisy passed the cold germs around the room? ::eyes the room suspiciously::

I may not have a spatula but I am not above giving a good clonk on the head with my solid oak rolling pin. Just saying.

Tara. said...

A mutiny? Bitch slapped with a spatula? Hahahaha! Dang, I should have skipped that meeting at church this morning. Thanks for the recap. I did notice a visit from someone, to which I will choose to use duct tape. :D I could kiss Margaret though for her reference of "drive by drama".

I am so happy that AP and SW won't break up. I'd cry.

Robin in Montana said...

Margaret - is that not just a "fix-it" ticket there? Here, even if I drove around without renewing my tags and got pulled over, I'd get cited for expired tags, go and renew them, and the ticket would be dismissed. Same with Oregon. Driving uninsured is about the only non-fix-it thing around here, although with this 'justice system' even that you could probably weasel your way out of.

Robin in Montana said...

Taiya -- I don't have a cold, but I do have a cold sore, and my boobs hurt, bad. Does that help?

laura said...

RIM how are the girls?

T@iy@ said...

::nods:: RiM is probably right.

Tara. said...

Margaret, my husband got pulled over a few months ago, his tags were barely 2 months expired. He didn't have to go to court, but the jerk cop TOOK his plates OFF his car!! Nice, right?
These cities are cracking down on stupid stuff. Our state no longer gives you a "cushion" for the speed limit. There are signs all over that say "40 means 40" and they don't issue a warning, you could get a ticket for going 42 in a 40. Lame!

laura said...

and kelly's parents?

Tara. said...

Hi Laura!

EL asked that, too. LOL The teacher claimed that wasn't the song they were using "after I contacted the director" and apologized for allowing it to play in to the 2nd verse. Then, Thing 1 decided to quit. *sigh*

Robin in Montana said...

Laura -- they are good. I don't know how to get them on my blog, but Kelly took some pics of them doing a "fashion show" the other night, and it was ... not pretty. lol.

T@iy@ said...

Well, it helps you not get clonked on the head, RiM. Doesn't help me find the culprit.

Oh well, between the itching and the cold the latter is the far lesser evil. I did get a nap for about an hour, though, until the itching got really bad, which helped.

laura said...

ALl the drama for not, oh well.

Erin said...

Tara- you know RiM. She *totally deserved that bitch slap.

My girls have been fighting since Julian came home from school. I should have know to expect it. Earlier in the day Janey said "I can't wait for Julian to come home. I am going to make her be my servant." It has been a downward spiral from there.

Laura-LOL. I asked tara about the song too!

T@iy@ said...

Gotta go to the bank(the new one) and get Matt on the new bank account so we can get checks ordered and stuff switched.

Who wants to borrow my ninja star blade?

Robin in Montana said...

Laura -- Kelly's parents are ... ack. The same, just not good. His mom invited us over for dinner last night for his b-day (it's today, though) but then forgot, and his dad was thinking today, so we went there last night. She has fallen again and the entire side of her face is all black and blue and her eye swollen all up, her arm bloodied up and so hunched over she can't even make any kind of eye contact. His dad hurt his foot and can hardly walk. They just both adamantly refuse that they need any kind of help though. It's sad and it's frustrating. I saw Kelly talking to his momlast night and his eyes were just all bright with tears and he kept touching her head and her arm and her hand - he hates it. I know from watching my mom go how hard it is, and scary, even, no matter how old you are.

Erin said...

Taiya- I don't know who has a cold. ::coughLindsaycough::

laura said...

EL Once I heard the song I was in shock.

Robin in Montana said...

EL said: "Tara- you know RiM. She *totally deserved that bitch slap."

Huh. Turns out Cheryl was right. You just *can't trust anyone.

Tara. said...

Aww Rim, that makes me sad about his parents. :o(

Erin said...

RiM- that is awful. Poor Kelly. It must be so hard to watch.

Tara. said...

LOL RiM! That's right. Don't trust as any more than you can throw us... or something like that.

Anonymous said...

It is a fix-it ticket but he had to go to court and I do think he had to pay somthing. No points or anything on his license - whew!

Erin said...

Speak for yourself lady. You eggbeatered my hair.

Robin in Montana said...

Tara - I know. It wouldn't be easier, exactly, hard to describe, but his mom is really young, actually, and that makes it even more difficult for him, I think. She's only 67.

laura said...

RIM It is so sad and not uncommon. I hope that they will rethink their situation. Thinking of kelly and his struggle.

Tara. said...

EL: Oh boy on the servant comment. My kids generally start fighting when Thing 1 comes home in the afternoon. I'm watching my friends little girl in a bit, she just turned 1. My kids all adore her, so there will be extra fighting today. Who gets to hold the baby/play with the baby/suffocate the baby because they want to be too close next.

Good Times.

Erin said...

Tara- She has been home for an hour. It feels like ten.

Tara. said...

Yeah, this is young to be falling and needing assistance. I'm sure I'll be stubborn like that when I get older, too. Don't ever want anyone to help me. Poor thing. I'm sure it's torture for Kelly. :o(

Robin in Montana said...

We will have Kelly's girls and my girls tonight. My girls have been at their dad's last night so they always come home strung out and grouchy. All 4 of them together, it's raining and they can't really play outside? Should be fun. And I mean that in the "just how much vodka do we have?" sense of fun.

Thank you to all of you about Kelly's folks. It is nice to have a place to come and talk about it.

Tara. said...

El: Ugh. I so know that feeling. Do you want to borrow some of my duct tape? It's pink!

Tara. said...

RiM: You're all stocked up now, so hopefully you can make it through.

Robin in Montana said...

It's hard for him to watch, but he also gets frustrated. When we were there, Jake (his dad) had takne her into the bedroom and got her up on the bed and she was sitting up, kind of cross-legged, with her back propped up with pillows watching t.v., except she was so slouched over she couldn't see it. And instead of putting the kleenexes where she could reach, they were over beside the bed, and even though we were all there, she didn't ask for one, she just kept leaning and leaning for one until the point where had none of us been there, shew ould have fallen off the bed. It's almost comic in one sense, but so, so maddening in another that she's willing to let herself get hurt before asking for help.

Tara. said...

Mr. Tara put a roast in the crock pot this morning before he went to work. I love how it tastes, but I HATE how it smells. Yuck!

Robin in Montana said...

Guarantee it smells better than the Costco chicken nuggets I'm going to 'spoil' everyone with tonight here! lol.

My old land lady kept falling (and calling me in the middle of the night) and they eventually found it was due to a leaking aneurysm. Keep an eye on her, RiM.

Robin in Montana said...

I didn't win Powerball, either. And I was just *sure today was it.

Kaytie - she has some kind of nerve ...thing (I suck at remembering names). She has no muscular control much, her speech is very slurred, one hand is always "motioning" for lack of a better word. Her mind is, for the most part, very clear.

And I, too, have been rounds with AP on the Confederate Flag thing. I do see her point, though.

Robin in Montana said...

Oh, and yes, Kelly got the deer call/grunt thing. He understands it bears no reflection on the card. He says.

Robin in Montana said...

Still thinking on the flag thing, though. While I do see your point, AP, that what it originally stood for is in no way reflective of how it is viewed by many today, as a sign of racism. I do see that.

But in a "how far can you stretch to make this work" kind of way, that's kind of how I feel about the JW's and hte Christmas tree thing. Yes, maybe it originally had pagan origins and meanings and whatever. I get that. But what it stands for today is not the same. So who is right? Base it on what its intent was originally, or how its widely perceived today?

You know?

Hey - How would it work for the Crafts 4 Chris auction if I offered up one of those for it?

Robin in Montana said...

Kaytie - I am not sure what she is. I should know. I lost my mom to Multi-System Atrophy (usually preceded by Parkinson's, but not in her case) a year and a half ago. It is horrible to watch someone physically deteriorate and watch their eyes begging you to *get what they're trying to say because their mind is totally there, they just can't *say it.

Just read this on HuffPo:

'Biggest Loser' trainer Jillian Michaels has a hard little body and she plans to keep it that way. Michaels, 36, tells Women's Health she is unwilling to become pregnant because of the way it would change her body.

"I'm going to adopt. I can't handle doing that to my body," she told the magazine. "Also, when you rescue something, it's like rescuing a part of yourself."

Michaels, who is now 5'2" and 120 pounds of muscle, was overweight as a teen. She said she once weighed 175 pounds but lost the extra weight with martial arts, which she has practiced for 20 years. She is currently embroiled in a lawsuit over the efficacy of her diet pills.

Michaels also reveals in the interview that she dates both men and women.

"I've been in love with both," she said.

Interesting. The part about not wanting to have a baby because of what it would do to her body, not the bisexual part.

Lindsay said...

Ha! I knew it! Jillian Michaels is actually a man and she can't get pregnant!

EL - I just told you I loved you and you threw me under the bus with the cold thing. Uh!

Erin said...

Sorry Linds...it was all happening too fast. can we just be friends??

Lindsay said...

Fine ::sigh:: LOL!

Muliebrity said...

I read that same Gillian Michaels interview and I knew she dated woman, but the dating men thing surprised me! I was surprised she admitted not wanting to get pregnant for fear of ruining her body, but at least she was being honest! It does ruin your body! lol

Erin said...

I just can back from Target with my girls. The oldest made it into the top 20 for science fair and has an "interview" tomorrow to determine the top 3. The person who sent the flyer home today with 'dress for success' on it is going to get a pencil in the eye. Julian is now *freaking out, and has to have a dress.

KaytieJ said...

SW - Can I take this darn colander off my head to answer the Jillian post? I think I'll keep the shiny aluminum wrap, it makes me feel pretty, (especially after wearing that tube top AKA beer can holder top the other night)

I can relate to what Jillian is saying (about body changing).
I for one abhored being pregnant and hated what it did to my body. I did want to have a child and I love my son, but that whole pregnant thing? Well, I think that is why I only had one!

And I like hearing about other women and their pregnancies.

Really, who cares if she is bi?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I love the name Julian.

Lindsay said...

It kind of seems weird that they would even bring that up in the article, if you ask me. It's like making her sexuality a lightning rod. I don't care who she likes, I've just always thought she was kind of "manly". And she scares me.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Sorry...that's all could focus upon.

KaytieJ said...

Erin - :::sharpening pencil::: Drives me nuts with late notices! Congrats though for the Science Fair!

Lindsay said...

Erin - but that's great she did so well :) Wait to stab them in the eye until she wins the entire competition. Otherwise she'll never forgive you.

KaytieJ said...

Is it Jillian, Gillian or Julina? And she scares me, too Lindsay!

So, to whoever thought up the silent auction thing...I LOVE it!!! That is SO great! Chris loves it too & asked if "cheesecake photos" of him with each item would raise the bids. I told him anyone old enough to know and appreciate cheesecake photos probably doesn't like Teh Gays.....so NO!

He has been asking me for this for days.......just slapped it together but if acouple of y'all could leave him some love in the comments, he would be SO thrilled. I am truly amazed how the Daisy Love gives him such a pick me up.

Anywho here it is

So the play I was at last night, M. Butterfly by David Henry Hwang, included nudity.

Bare bosom (pretty beautiful one at that) early in the first half, plus a slender male actor who dropped trou near the end of the play.

The old lady next to me 'bout had a heart attack. While the actor was taking his clothes off, she kept saying "oh my God, oh my God".

This is a pretigioius, mainstream theatre in the Twin Cities. Ian McKelland did the same a few years ago in King Lear.

Just wanted to share about my evening.

PJ said...

No prude here, but full frontal nudity, for about two minutes, standing there proudly.

I was just a bit surprised....

KaytieJ said...

CK - Two minutes? But did he have any dialogue?

Your night actually sounds lovely. I would like to see that play.

KaytieJ said...

Erin - Definitely safer here - even with all the utensils flying around :-D

He and another actor had dialog back and forth.

Very interesting play in lots of ways.

PJ said...

I would think that the unexpected full frontal nudity would be a distraction from whatever dialog was happening at the time.

lmao @ teeny weeny!

Erin said...

CK- that's why they invented opera glasses!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

CK, I read the book; did you know it's a true story (I'm sure it has been embellished for the stage)?

T@iy@ said...

I am making Abby Cadabby in chocolate cake form. Waiting for it to cook, then throwing loaded nachos in, then making about 450 pounds of frosting to decorate said cake with.

bookjunkie said...

Well, you ruined it with the teeny weeny, LOL. Sounds like a great evening. Sadly, we have nothing of the sort in the small town where I live.

I would have been cracking up at the old lady beside you though.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Or, I could donate one of these bowls:

You know we'll have to see pictures, Taiya.

Elisabeth!! So good to see you. Cannot wait to check out Chris' blog and looking forward to seeing more videos.

BD - It's loosely based on the relationship between French diplomat Bernard Boursicot and Shi Pei Pu, a male Peking opera singer.

T@iy@ said...

I think the old lady was my grandma.

We used to go to a local theatre and she would gasp and grab her heart if they said "damn".

Kaytie said: "SW - Can I take this darn colander off my head to answer the Jillian post?" Hey, I'm neutral in this whole mutiny thing, don't invoke me!

::waiting to see who wins the mutiny, and then will become their butt plug::

Angie said...

Ha re opera glasses, EL! That sounds like an interesting play, CK.

PJ said...

Erin - ha on the opera glasses. Or some binoculars?

T@iy@ said...

If I don't sneeze and screw up the frosting I will post photos.

Ahem, *Lindsay.

PJ said...

BD - what did you think of the book?

Pretty complex issues - what a tangled web we human beings can weave....

KaytieJ said...

::waiting to see who wins the mutiny, and then will become their butt plug::

You just made Taiya ruin her 450 lbs of frosting.

PJ said...

And what illusions and expectations we can create for others in order to feel powerful ourselves....even though we are not.

PJ said...

SW - if Bella gives a thumbs up to the book, I think you'd like it -

KaytieJ said...

BD - the link took me to a log in patch that I cannot access :-(

Jennifer-Lynn said...

BD: I read the book years ago, and I found it fascinating. I know there was a movie made based on the book.

In the same vein, have you ever heard of Billy Tipton? There was a book about THAT situation as well, about a woman who lived for 50 years as a man, and was married to no less than 3 women, none of whom every knew. It didn't come out until Tipton died.

PJ said...

Off to read about Billy Tipton.....

Jennifer-Lynn said...

That's weird.

I can take a pic of mine, but I wouldn't know how to post it.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Every = ever.

PJ said...

BBL - finishing an Excel spreadsheet, then home.

KaytieJ said...

Sandy - Get that back button working, we now have full frontal nudity teeny weenies and uhhhh....I got distracted, oh yes...dialog :-D

Dinner: Chicken breasts with rotel and cheese, asparagus, corn, and a side of heartburn.

KaytieJ said...

Jill - I have not tried rotel, heard it is good.
Got any Tums?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I've changed my avatar to the bowl...can eveeyone see it? Would it make a good auction gift?

Anonymous said...

Are these yogurt butt plugs?

twirldawg said...

KaytieJ aside from the heartburn it is good.
I left my Tums at work.
Work requires A LOT of Tums.

twirldawg said...

BD those are cute.

T@iy@ said...

Margaret- Those are yogurt *va-jay-jay plugs you are thinking of.

KaytieJ said...

BD - that is a really pretty bowl. I think it would work.

KaytieJ said...

Jill - I bet it does :-(

twirldawg said...

It's all good, once the tot is in bed I'm make an adult beverage and forget about it all :)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

All right then; my contribution will be the bowl. I'm also still doing the wine selling, with my commission (15%) from all sales at Daisy donated to Caring for Chris. So far we've got $12 and change. :)

If you refer someone to my site and they tell me that they heard about the wine sales from Daisy, I'll donate the commission I make from those sales, as well.

T@iy@ said...

I think I just ate my body weight in nachos. No room for the stuffed mushrooms.

::passes Jill a large bottle of smoothie Tums:: I have them stockpiled.

T@iy@ said...

I am not trying to be mean, at all, but JM looks as pregnant as me.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Taiya (and Mulie, if you are having heartburn) Gaviscon liquid is incredibly effective. It was a lifesaver when I was pregnant.

twirldawg said...

I kept a big bottle of mint Maloxx in the fridge when I was pregnant. Oh it was a lifesaver at 1am some nights.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Taiya, I haven't looked and wouldn't criticize her weight, b/c I am a big girl. But like I said yesterday, she does not look so good for her (our) age. I don't know if it's from stress that has aged her, or what. She looked better this time last year, and Stellan was in the damn hospital.

T@iy@ said...

I don't think she is anywhere near as big as I am in weight. She looks good besides that, from what I can tell. Her belly just sticks out as far as mine! Although I have had a lot of remarks that the only thing that makes me look 8 months pregnant is the waddling.

I don't think she is my age? Is she mid-30s? I'm 26.

On the Gaviscon and Maalox front. ::TMI:: I literally throw it up 10 minutes after I take it if I take it. Tums is the only thing besides prilosec I can take and prilosec doesn't work quickly.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Not trying to be mean, at all. I feel bad if it's caused by stress, or depression, or what not. It sucks. It was just an observation on my part. I think I look my age and that's super with me. My life gets better as I get older. :)

Lisa said...

BD, that bowl is gorgeous!

Elisabeth, I like Chris' new blog - very cute!

I'd like it to be duly noted that I had nothing to do with initiating this round of butt plug talk.

Jill, your dinner sounds good! We're having cheese ravioli with shrimp in an alfredo sauce and tossed salad here.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Taiya, JM and I would be something like 3 months apart in age. She was born August 1977, and I was born November 1977. So she and I are pretty much the same age.

T@iy@ said...

I am definitely not going to be criticizing anyone's weight. I am definitely overweight and wouldn't roll that way. Even if I didn't like her, and I don't really have a problem with her, so I hope that my comment didn't sound like I was...

twirldawg said...

AP your dinner sounds better :)

T@iy@ said...

So not that much older. I am 27 in July, so not that far apart. I guess I thought she was older. Don't know why.

T@iy@ said...

AP- your dinner definitely sounds good. I could definitely go for some salad about now.

Lisa said...

Huh. A rocket just went up.

Anonymous said...

BD - nice bowl!

bookjunkie said...

Speaking of JM... she tweeted this earlier after the drama.

"See photos of our new babe from his (very good!) ultrasound today: http://tinyurl.com/2evbze6 He's a keeper for sure!"

WTH.. a keeper?! As opposed to not a keeper?

Lisa said...

We've not eaten yet...Jake's off somewhere.

Oh, oh! Creekbed Rick offed himself. The creek bed was at the bottom of an embankment and at the top they found his wallet, watch and a shitload of beer cans. I was curious if he jumped, since that seems iffy if you want to die, or if he shot himself and went over. Tom wasn't in the mood for my enthusiastic inquiries, though, so I still don't know.
