Sandy, My husband wanted to move out last year (a month after we closed on our new house mind you) and I'm sure he would have if I had rented him an apartment, packed his shit, and moved him there.

We have been in and out of counseling since October of 99. I was just pregnant with my first. We were married in September of 98. I've put up with his crap all this time. There is alot more to the story. He has addiction issues also.

Sandy, Marriage is such a joy, isn't it?

Muliebrity said...

I gotta pick up the boy from pre-school. Peace out, ya'll!

Bye Mulie!

Howdy Gang!
I have been trying to get caught up since this am, but every time I get on here, someone walks in my office and I gotta leave! Damn it! Doesn't any one understand I am trying not to get any work done today!lol
Sandy, Mulie, So wrong what you are going through on so many levels. No easy answers either.

kristin said...

< :( Sitting in corner with dunce cap - let me know if you need me.

Anonymous said...

Mulie, have a good one. If you ever need to talk let me know.

I scored at the grocery store today. $70.75. Woo Hoo.

suz said...

Kristin, why you need the dunce cap?

kristin said...

Waving hi to suz from the corner :)

kristin said...

cuz I was posting comments from e-mail and I said bye to mulie on the old post and told Taiya we were on a new post, on the new post.

Duh!

Anonymous said...

AP, I want that shirt! LOL

Hello women. What's up?

Sorry about the shitty husbands.

suz said...

Kristin !lol, you make me laugh today!
Hey how's your little dude? I meant to tell you before, I think it is good you are giving him swim lessons young. I used to teach swim lessons and kids really do learn fast and the earlier the better IMHO.

Robin in Montana said...

Answering the question above, we have no little fuckers for dinner tonight, and we're going to try to eat healthy. Ahem. Grilled fish, salad, and asparagus. With plenty of vodka and grapefruit juice. :-D

kristin said...

Suz - glad I can make you laugh.

Oh, I am a water baby. I was a lifeguard for a water park for 6 years (and probably still would be one if they gave you more than a 5 cent raise each year). I am also advanced scuba certified and love the water. My mom has a pool, which we are at all the time in the summer so it was a given plus it was a way for us to do a little bonding when he was younger. I had him in a baby ducks class which is a mommy/daddy and me class. I loved it and ended up subbing for the instructor. I'm looking into becoming an instructor for CPR/AR and/or Lifeguarding.

Sorry, that is something that I am very passionate about. Now he is in semi-private b/c he listens so much better to someone else than he does me.

suz said...

Hi RiM,
no little fuckers in our house, ever. We don't have any kids, just fur ones. We like em, just don't have em.
Vodka and grapefruit very healthy indeed!lol.

kristin said...

and you make me laugh RiM! I take it some worship will happen also!?

I really need to drink. I have been saying that for a few days now and still haven't imbibed yet. Maybe tonight?

suz said...

Kirstin,
I started teaching swimming lessons when I was 13 with the Red Cross. It was fun! I taught privately at peoples homes up into my 30's. Taught an entire family (mom dad 6 kids) to swim. It has been to this day one of my most rewarding jobs ever.

suz said...

K, I just spelled your name wrong, pass me the dunce hat. I have a friend Kirstin, so don't hold it against me! ☺

kristin said...

It is an awesome feeling.

Now that I sit and watch him, I really want to teach more which is why I am hoping to get a teaching job so I can teach lessons in the summer.

kristin said...

no worries suz - you've mentioned that before.

T@iy@ said...

Kristin- no dunce cap needed. haha

Robin in Montana said...

Suz - there are days when no little fuckers sounds very good indeed. But I wouldn't trade 'em for anything now. :-D

Kristin - Yes, much spirituality 'round here tonight. ::cackle::

KaytieJ said...

Wish I had that tee when I was a den mom ;-D

I went GROCERY shopping (have I mentioned I hate shopping)...bought chicken for BD's BUTTER CHICKEN and Red Beans for Tee's upcoming recipe. Funny story from grocery shopping. Will tell later.

kristin said...

I'd just like one day without the little guy to clean :)

Okay - part of my damn tooth (molar) just came out.

I guess I need to make a dentist appointment - I don't have dental insurance.

kristin said...

such a tease Kaytie :)

Robin in Montana said...

I can't wait for Tee's red beans and rice recipe, either. And I really want to make the butter chicken, too.

Kristin - I need to hit the dentist, too, and also have no insurance. Consiering I paid close to $200 for one extraction for Cami, I'm a little nervous.

KaytieJ said...

Kristin-OUCH! On the tooth front and then not having dental insurance.

Robin in Montana said...

Also, I tried again at PW for the Le Creuset dutch oven. I really *need that!

KaytieJ said...

Do they have state dental plans where you are Kristin and RiM?

KaytieJ said...

What is PW?

Anonymous said...

Kristin- I HATE (and I mean H.A.T.E.) the dentist. That said, molar issues could explain your recurring headaches.

Robin in Montana said...

Oh, sorry, Kaytie -- the Pioneer Woman's website. Do you know it, or do you want a link? Don't tell Lisa if you check out her recipe sites, or she might consider banning you as a friend, though. :-D

And yes, they do have state dental plans here and I'd qualify income-wise. I'm just loathe to do so.

kristin said...

Don't know Kaytie.

Anonymous said...

Kay- Pioneer woman

Robin in Montana said...

Ooh, Corinne is right, Kristin. I never thought of that.

Anonymous said...

RiM- AP doesn't like PW's recipes?

Robin in Montana said...

Corinne -- No. She hates them. She thinks PW is the antichrist of the cooking world. lol.

Anonymous said...

RiM- I'm always right! ;-)

J/K :P

suz said...

Kristin, bummer on the tooth.
Corinne, I white knuckle it at the dentist too, I hate it!

KaytieJ said...

Link please :-D hehehehhe...I might just be the first banned Daisy.

Robin in Montana said...

:::bows to Corinne's wisdom:::

Robin in Montana said...

Here you go, Kaytie. The contest for the dutch oven is under the cooking tab. I'll miss you when you've been struck with AP's mighty banning wand!

http://thepioneerwoman.com/

KaytieJ said...

RiM---I hear you about being loathe to apply for state stuff.

Anonymous said...

Kay- http://thepioneerwoman.com/

Suz- I think dentists are evil ;)

KaytieJ said...

Thank you RiM. I hope it is her pouffy pink one. We can tease her right now because she is busy painting her toes ;-D

suz said...

Corinne, I agree! lol I have met few truly strange ones. None of whom I visit because they creeped me out. The one I use now is ok, but I just hate going and it stresses me out.

KaytieJ said...

Dentists are horrible. I am bypassing all dental appointments for myself and am just going to go with dentures :-D That is how much I hate going to the dentist.

suz said...

KaytieJ. lol! too funny!

Ok, I am off to get my afternoon work done, can't stay here all afternoon sniff'n daisies, even tho I want to :D

bbl.

Anonymous said...

Suz- My dentist won't.stop.talking. Of course, I can't make small talk while he's basically torturing me. He works really well, that's why he's still my dentist but seriously, someone should give him Ritalin. Or valium.
(I think I hate going to the dentist more than I hate going to the gynecologist).

Anonymous said...

Lol, Kaytie! I might just do that too :D

See you, Suz!

KaytieJ said...

Corinne - Exactly! And what is even worse with mine are his dolled up Miss Perfect hygeinists who gossip about everyone while your laid out in the chair.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Ahemm my ears are burning....

KaytieJ said...

No need to have burning ears...that is just my local dentist. Too lazy to drive to the city :-D

Anonymous said...

Kaytie- Ugh. What is it with talkative dentists?!

Hi MLwB!! What's up?

Robin in Montana said...

Outside of the cost and time wasted sitting there (I feel the same way about getting my hair done) I don't mind the dentist. I did go to a new clinic here a year or so ago with a cavity that needed filled and when the dentist came in I about fell out because he looked all of maybe 12. I guess I am getting old.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Hi Corrine,
I clicked on and your talking my language!

KaytieJ said...

RiM - That is how I feel about the new batch of Residents every June. We call it, "Here come the baby docs" Lordy, they look younger and younger :-D

Anonymous said...

MLwB- LOL! That's right, you're a dental hygienist! Do you talk a lot? ;-)

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Oh yea! You know how we like to do all the talking while our hands are in your mouth, so you can't answer! Your patients become "friends" and you get chatting about things. Happens every time......
How are you Corinne?

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

I was not impressed with the nip tuck finale! You?

Anonymous said...

MLwB- I'm fine :) Life is beautiful, despite all the PITAs that I have in my life :P

How are you? Watched Nip/tuck lately?

Anonymous said...

Nevermind, I should refresh before posting. Duh.

I haven't watched it yet, tomorrow probably. I'll tell you what I think ;)

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

We are on the same wave length.
We are good. Busy with the kids, having awesome weather. Can't beat it! Oh and I turned the big 4-0 this week!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Yes, I would be interested in what you think of the finale.

Robin in Montana said...

Happy birthday, MLwB!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Anonymous said...

Happy belated birthday!! =)

Shannon said...

Hi everyone...back from my being a diva and groceries LOL

Now as I was catching up was I hallucinating or did TARA get banned from SIP??? So now there really are only like 10 peeps max left over there?? WTF???

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Christy,
It isn't all that bad! I wasn't dreading it at all. My hubby is turning 46, so I feel "young"!

Shannon said...

LOL I will be pre-40 in like 2 weeks

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Thanks Corinne! Your a young one right?

Shannon said...

MLWB Corrine is like 12 :)

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Shannon, What is pre-40? 39?

Anonymous said...

Hi Christy & Shannon!

Well, ladies, I'm off for today! See you all tomorrow! :)

Robin in Montana said...

I'll turn 41 in a couple of weeks, and Kelly will be 47 soon thereafter. 40 hit me hard when it happened, but there were a TON of other factors going on right then. This birthday does not faze me and I'm feeling more hopeful and happy than I have for years before this.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

By Corinne, Nice seeing you!

Anonymous said...

MLwB- I will be 21 on May 6 :)

Anonymous said...

Hi Corinne, bye Corinne!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Robin, It really is just a number. I feel 20 in my mind! It is ok when all of your friends are also turning with you. I wish I were younger only because my kids are little still.

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

21? I could be your mother......ok, now I feel old!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Alot of us are old enough to be Corinne's mother!

Shannon said...

I will be 38 this year. For some reason I dont feel so anxious about this one but last year I pretty much sat and cried most of the day.

Robin in Montana said...

MLWB - I understand about the kids ages. Kelly and I were talking about that, that we both waited until we were "older" to have kids and that a lot of our friends have kids who are older, getting ready to have kids themselves. That said, though, I don't think I'd have made a very good mother at 20 or so. I guess you never know, but I had the maternal instincts of a male badger back then. :-D

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

We are all very close in age. Shannon, it won't be so bad. Really!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Robin,
I hear you! I keep thinking of how old we will be when son3 is in college. Umm retirement age....We were not ready sooner either. I'm glad we both got our education, jobs, bought our house. It would have been really hard to have the kids first.

Shannon said...

My kids are damn lucky I had them so young (19 and 20). As I see most people they get more patient with age where I have noticed I have less and less patience with small children.

I must say though sometimes I am amused with how so many of us are so close in age but a lot of you have kids that are 10+ years younger than mine are. I couldnt even imagine having a baby or toddler in my life now.

Amy said...

Hi everybody...

kristin said...

Hi Ya Amy!

Robin in Montana said...

I was going to say, I didn't necessarily wait for any specific reason - we did try to have kids earlier on in our marriage when I was younger (23, 24, somewhere in there) but it just never happened. We had kind of decided it wasn't going to happen and were okay with that, when it did. It wasn't a conscious or wise decision on my part. With Kelly, he never married until he was in his early 30's and they did have their girls soon after their marriage, like maybe within a year or so, but it wasn't like he was waiting, either. Who knows, I guess all things work out like they do for a reason.

Amy said...

Hey Kristin, I hope LM is doing ok. I still owe you an email or twelve. Didn't make it on here over the weekend, but I'm taking a break from the crap on my desk to stop by & say hi. :)

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Shannon,
I agree, less patience with age. For sure!
I am glad we waited, BUT would love to be a younger mom. I think of what I might miss when they have their own kids and I am half in the grave. Sad, you know?

kristin said...

no worries Amy!

T@iy@ said...

Crap. I am going to get less patient as I get older? That sucks.

Tara. said...

Hi to those that said Hi to me! :o)

Kristin-you can email me anytime. I did get it and replied. :o)

Shannon-Yep. Color me confused. No clue.

I'll be back later to check in. :o)

Robin in Montana said...

Hi Amy! Hi Taiya!

Anonymous said...

I'll be 42 next month. Doesn't bother me a bit except when the lady in Target asked if Brian was my grandson!

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

Taiya,
Yes, I hate to say it. Maybe it is having small children and being older that makes you that way? Not sure.

Shannon said...

HAHAHA

Taiya I dont know if it happens to everyone but I am already finding myself as one of those bitchy "old" ladies who cant stand some of the things that parents let their kids do.

Hopefully I will find more patience as a grandparent LOL

MY LIFE WITH BOYS! said...

My office had a balloon that had a huge "40" on it tied to a chair. I had this teenage boy ask who's bday it was. I told him mine. He looked at me and said "You don't look 40". I said "right answer, since I have the sharp instruments!"

Anonymous said...

I for one am happy to see Tara here :)

Shannon said...

I really like Tara also.....and what really gets me about her banning from SIP....she has only been there for maybe two months....She came on just before I left

Lindsay I do get that there are some with hard feelers and such but seriously I think of this place as a new beginning. It is a place where we can all come together without having to worry about all the shit we have left behind :)

suz said...

Ok, afternoon work is done! I am going to be 43 in a few weeks. Can't say I am too worried about this bday. 40 did not bother me either, 41 was a hard one for me though.
Hi Tara!

twirldawg said...

Afternoon ladies.

Shannon said...

LOL I am laughing at how we all seem to not be so terribly affected by the "milestone" birthdays but the ones that really shouldnt be a big deal were horrible.

suz said...

Shannon, you are right! I don't know why 41 hit me so hard. 31 was not good either, but 30 was ok. hmmm maybe I should worry when I am 51???

Robin in Montana said...

Well, 40 was a milestone and it did hit me *really hard. Of course, the fact that Travis, who was not my ex at the time, did not even *remember it, did not really help.

Lindsay said...

I have no problem with her posting here, but I will not be so quick to be friendly. Once fooled shame on her, twice, shame on me.

And I don't think that we have to necessarily let bygones be bygones. I was extremely hurt by her behavior, and I am not so quick to forgive. But that's me, and that's my issue. I'm not asking anyone to take sides. That's the great thing about daisy, though, is that you can be friends with who ever you wish and you can have dissenting opinions.

I am also not the only one who was hurt by her, so I thought perhaps she would like to publicly talk about why she made the choices she made. But, I thought better of it and I removed my post after I decided it was inappropriate.

Shannon said...

My 30 wasnt hard.....31 was horrible....35 was fine but 37 may as well have been the end of the world....I have to say I hate the between years of the milestones.

Robin I bet it was *him that made it such a rough birthday not so much the number.

Shannon said...

I get you Lindsay.....it is perfectly fine to have and own your feelings there is no problem with that at all.

RiM, well can I say what an ass to forget your birthday especially a milestone one? Maybe one of the many reasons he has ex in front of his name.

I just read Chuck Norris is 70! So all us daisies are young'uns. Am I going to piss someone off talking about age? Didn't someone get there daisy shorts in a wad about age??

Tara. said...

I'm sorry that me popping in to say Hello caused problems. I'm OK with not being part of either group.

Tara. said...

Oh, and. I was NOT able to get in to SIP, in spit of my name being on the above list. Wow.

Robin in Montana said...

Huh. Wow. That ought to put a nice fat bullseye on my head. :(

suz said...

Linds, you lost me but hey, won't be the first time I have been lost :0)

Shannon said...

Dont know exactly how accurate that list is...strangely enough...but then again perhaps it is just of people still on the "follower" list.

Lindsay said...

There must be another Linds"e"y. Not me. Been banned from the beginning. I think I said something offensive like "Hi".

Muliebrity said...

ok, so I'm having regrets about sending DH my rant-y email earlier and am considering deleting it before he reads it.

suz said...

Lindsay, I think that one is fruits and nuts?? from the old OHIH days maybe?

Anonymous said...

Mulie, I would delete it. But that's just me.

Shannon said...

Robin I dont think you have any kind of a bullseye upon your head....unless there should be??? HMMMMMM :)

Tara. said...

Won called me and asked me what was going, said I hadn't been banned. I tried to log in to SIP several times and then I was able to have access. So, maybe it was a glitch of some kind, I don't know. I just wanted to clear that up. I won't come back, sorry for the interruption.

Lindsay said...

Phew Suz. I forgot about her. I feel better now. See, I'm lost a lot, too :)

Muliebrity said...

I want to, Sandy, but I don't! He should have already been up for the day, but I haven't seen him online yet. We generally Skype before he goes to work.

Anonymous said...

I hear you Mulie. I didn't want to confront but in the end I did and felt much better about doing so.

Robin in Montana said...

Shannon - I only meant because I have been very vocal there about how I felt about bannings and all that. I haven't sloshed information back and forth, though, but feel I will definitely be eyed. Hopefully I won't becuase I have been very upfront about everything.

Shannon said...

Well I hope nothing comes of any of it...personally I think that it was kinda silly for "Krista" to post that list anyway. And what was really funny to me anyway was looking at the list posted and recognizing how probably 2/3'ds of the list are inactive/non participating members LOL

kristin said...

right - I don't know who some of those people are - eau?

Shannon said...

I know what you mean Kristin never remember that person on SIP LOL

Robin in Montana said...

I asked about that name earlier there (and hopefully that isn't a violation of the 'rules' mentioning that) too.

Shannon said...

I still think it is funny that someone posted that here pretending to be Krista.....Seriously do any of us think she could be on SIP and lurk here keeping her mouth shut?

Shannon said...

HAHAHA RiM....you know you are a walking violation of everything that that place now stands for :)

Anonymous said...

Yeah...Krista has a new profile. Whoever you are, own it or STFU.

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, I'm out of here for now. I feel like a walking violation, but I'm defintely not "Krista".

kristin said...

kristin said...

Okay ladies - I need to skidaddle!

See ya later!

Still curious as to who "krista" is.

Shannon said...

See ya soon Robin...you bad girl you :)

Shannon said...

Bye Kristin

Lisa said...

Well. I was going to share that my roast is smelling really good and I've been patching cracks on my house to begin hurricane season readying but I see that Krista is here. Lol, I suppose that beats patching cracks, but what the hell? Well, in the spirit of all that Daisy is - welcome, Krista!

I can't believe I just typed that. I feel like I should wash my fingers off.

I see so many on that list I miss so much *sighs* but who is "eau"?

Anonymous said...

I think her real name is Elizabeth, but I never saw her post. If that list is accurate, then a lot of people should be banned for lurking there.

Shannon said...

AP!!!!! You do need some soap for those fingers LOL

But then again as Daisy is SUPPOSED to be...everyone is welcome.

Shannon said...

Ok sorry I am probably finding this funnier then I should but on that list does anyone happen to see who's name is NOT on it?

Yeah it isnt a very accurate list that is for sure and I only recognize about 13 names that were semi regular posters.

suz said...

I kind of think it is funny this person posted as Krista just to stir it up. But I think a good daisy does not mind being stirred up! lol

KaytieJ said...

Sooo...what kind of roast did you cook AP?

Anonymous said...

I find it funny, too Shannon.

Anyone read GM's blog? She has sponsored a child through compassion. How touching.

I don't believe she did it out of the goodness of her cold heart as much as to stay in good with JM.

Shannon said...

Suz when the daisies get stirred up they are easier to snort :)

Shannon said...

Yes you do Taiya...such great things to look forward to :)

suz said...

lol Shannon! I will go get my dollar bill...

KaytieJ said...

Taiya - I still remember that waddle about town feeling. And everyone staring at my belly. It was so weird how when you are buddah belly, your belly becomes community property!

Shannon said...

I think that there was one person who questioned Tara about past interactions and from that Tara chose to not stay with us. I am sorry that she feels that she isnt welcome because someone asked her about the past but seriously there were more happy to see her then questioning...and it wasnt horrible either.

Tara if you read this I would hope you reconsider.

Kaytie, I think it said it's a sirloin tip roast. Publix had a deal where they had big sirloin family packs for $2.69 a pound. Mine had 2 packs of ground sirloin, two sirloin steaks of some type (thin, will slice them for fajitas) and a roast for $15. I just want hot, open faced roast beef sandwiches out of it so I'm not doing anything too fancy but it sure smells good.

I think this Krista posting is funny, too. That list can't possibly be accurate I don't think, so no harm done. I do remember an Elizabeth from waaaaaay back but I don't think she posted while I was there or if she did, it was only once or twice. I don't remember an "eau" at all, though. Someone is just messing with us but hey, it's all good fun!

Sounds like y'all are being messed with. I'm confused, too Taiya, so it is not your pg brain! I am sorry people's feelings are hurt at anytime.
Hey-Taiya-saw your recipes for pistachio bread and mac/cheese. Thank you for posting.

Lisa said...

"I wasn't part of it, but I just caught up. Lindsay was somewhat unhappy with Tara's ready acceptance due to some past behavior at the SIP forum and wanted to discuss it with Tara. Right?"

I missed that...sorry and thanks for explaining. Hell, I don't care what went on at SIP. Tara is an old-timer and I'll readily say she's beyond welcome here in my book. We don't have to agree or disagree about actions or things we've said, people we've sided with. God knows I've defended a couple in the past and I realize now it makes me look like a dumbass for doing so. That all said, I see nothing wrong with someone asking for an explanation, either.

Krista said...

Afternoon all! Well, it's good to know Krista is still alive and well. ::waving at Krista:: (Not that I think it's her, of course. And I do hope she's alive and well.)

Tara, it's good to see you here today, and I hope you will be back. I've missed you.

Wish I could stay a bit, but I've got a friend coming over to watch a movie tonight. There will be beer. I've had a stressful day with several deadlines. I'll check in later this evening.

Shannon said...

Honestly AP when I saw the name Krista I was ready to get the fingers ready.....but ummm no that wouldnt have actually been Krista....For one she doesnt know how to be quiet and for two there wasnt a single FUCK YOU in the whole thing LOL

I wonder if GM's compassion kid goes to finishing school - just sayin.

Am I sipping too much marsala making this butter chicken? How many Kristas are there?

PJ said...

Off to pop some popcorn and watch Tara and "Krista" hang out on Daisy at the same time.

Shannon said...

Margaret good point...I mean she does realize that her Compassion kid is not from good breeding right?

KaytieJ- I'm not drinking and I am seeing double. It's hard enough trying to remember who everyone is and who has what kids (I need to start taking notes) without people confusing me.

CK - hand on over some of that popcorn to me and Taiya :-D

Afternoon all! Well, it's good to know Krista is still alive and well. ::waving at Krista:: (Not that I think it's her, of course. And I do hope she's alive and well.)"

What the fuck is this? ROFL! Krista waved at Krista and she hopes herself is still alive and well. Well, alrighty, then.

All we need is for GM to join the fray.

Oh - principal is recommending me for tenure! Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Hi CK. How did your play go?

KaytieJ said...

CK - Forgot to say "please" I may be a low-life/no-life snarky Daisy, but that is no excuse for poor manners.

Hi Christy,
The play was a hit - an old, tired script (I didn't choose it), but we made the best of it.

Kids stepped up to the plate. We had to have one of the stage crew step in to be an understudy for a sick cactus.

Ha! The level of corny-ness of elementary music productions.

My one errant tap dancer turned the right way on their big turn last night too! She is directionally challented.

But Christy according to the list Won isnt even a current member of SIP.....do you think she got banned and is now lurking here with us all alone?
