CK, Robin in Montana. We met years ago on the old AOL message boards (that's where I met Kaytie and remember Bev from, too) and have stayed friends all these years. I didn't know R2 before OHIH.
Kristin, because you were excited about the ruckus this might cause at SIP. ;-) Honestly, though, while it's funny, it's not a huge deal. So big deal, someone is posting lists of who is and isn't there.
AP- I was a lurker at OHIH. I kind of got lost in the shuffle when it hit the fan, obviously was not invited to SIP. I kind of lost track of it for a while, but still had JM in my Google Reader. When she posted about naysayers, I was drawn right back in. I read Fellowship and MWoP, but only comment occasionally. Thanks for answering my question! Kasey
AP: no name yet. I was at my doctor's today and it's their GP too, and she asked since she had seen them a week ago, and I had to tell her there was *still no name. I have no idea what they tell people when they're asked.
Taiya: my 6 year old named him Shortround Steve. Shortround is a character (little Chinese boy I think) on Indiana Jones Temple of Doom. Somebody here alerted me to the fact that he's also a Decepticon on the Transformers. And my son just liked the name Steve. Hence... Shortround Steve. And thanks!
In other news, the JK spot I was promised, then unpromised, then tentatively promised was now given to... another teacher. A whole different one than the one who *might come back. A teacher I considered a friend. Who I had told I hoped I got the JK and she said oh I *hope so too. Then today she asked for it and got it. I'm not supposed to know. So I know for sure 5 people in the school who know and they all looked me in the eye and wished me a happy March break. So that did it for me. When the postings come out, I *will be applying. This is just a bit much.
Taiya: nope, not my son, he's my brother's first baby. I only have the 1 sibling so the very first nephew on my side, although I do have 12 on my husbands side!
AP: you know, I'm not very smart sometimes. And I don't take subtle hints very well. So even though this school has been sucking the life out of me, I hang on. Oh I complain, but never apply anywhere else. But a school not much further is opening up a French immersion section of Grade 1 in September, and I now think I would *really want this class.
Christy: I still have a job at this school if I want it, well for .7 of my week. Since my "friend" took this job even though she already had a regular classroom, and she has seniority, I got scaled back to .7, meaning I'm in a second school .3 of the week (1.5 days). I've been in 2 schools before (twice) and it is not ideal. I have been avoiding immersion because it's new and I do tend to avoid new situations but luckily French teachers are in demand, not enough of us. So hopefully for September that trend continues and I'll have some posts to choose from. The posts should be out soon.
FT - I work at a private school and we just started a German immersion class. You're right, it is new. I don't know a lot about your situation, but the kids where I am LOVE it and the parents are excited about it. That doesn't exactly help you, just thought I'd mention it.
AP: French is only mandatory as a second language (core) from grades 4 to 9. But it can be taken at the immersion level from grade 1, or the extended level (less intense than immersion, more intense than core, like a middle) from grade 5.
Clear as mud, no?
Kasey: Welcome! I've only ever taught core, so I'm a little intimidated by immersion. But really, I only have to know more French than 6 year olds, right? :0)
Christy: I do teach primaries now (grades 1-3) but not French, I teach them the Arts + Phys Ed / Health. I like 6 year olds. I have one myself! The more I think about it, the more I think I want this. So I do plan to apply but of course no guarantees.
Exactly. Fake it until you make it, as they say. I observe the German class sometimes, and it's so cute to watch the kids speaking in only German. I work with some of them daily (I'm a learning specialist) in English, so it's quite interesting to see them interact in a different language.
SW: not sure.... She wanted me to call her during March break to go to the King Tut exhibit together and now of course I won't. So maybe she'll bring it up. I'm not sure I can be reasonable so I won't bring it up myself. Truly, I hope she doesn't either. She knows what she did. The other teachers know what she did. She'll reap her own rewards, hopefully.
And what could I say? She could take that job. She has more seniority than me. Would I have done that to her? NEVER. Not ever, never would I smile at someone and then do that behind their back knowing the impact it would have on them. Even if my own life were better. Which is what this is, this is better for her,but she already had a full time placement, so she's just cherry picking now. The JK situation was my only hope for full time placement at the school, unless I took a regular classroom which is not really where I'm best suited, and I'm pretty sure the board will never let me out of French since French teachers are in such short supply.
SW - Krista scared the crud out of me back in the day. When OHIH first went to invite only, I sent her an e-mail b/c I was so new to the blog world that I figured she just needed to add me. Her reply was illogical and borderline threatening. That said ... very glad to be here!
Kasey, I can take immersion at a low grade. It's once we start in the higher grades, I mean teaching the skeletal system in French, um, not interested. I'm all about conversational French and theme-French (like each unit has a theme, healthy eating, technology, the solar system, etc.). Teaching science or geography in French has no appeal for me whatsoever. Hence my fear of immersion and extended.
Totally understand. I'm observing elementary students, so it's much simpler. They're just getting the hang of it. Just hearing you say "skeletal system in French" makes me nervous, and I studied French until college!
Immersion is almost 100% French and lessons as the grade goes up, not sure of exact numbers but it's like Grade 1 90%, Grade 2 80%, Grade 3 70%. Most subjects taught in French.
Extended is some subjects only in French, much less than immersion.
Core is 40 minutes of French per day, completely separate from other classes. So it's just a French class, not a history class taught in French.
I am fluent also in Portuguese (more than French) and have a pretty fair understanding in Spanish although I speak very very little. We have a new student this year in JK, I'm pretty sure she was born in Canada but probably raised by spanish-speaking family so she came to school speaking zero English. I have her class 20 minutes per week for computers (I don't evaluate, just give the teacher planning time). Anyways, in the beginning her teacher had such a hard time communicating with her in English. So in the computer lab I would throw in little Spanish words I remembered to help her use the mouse or whatever, I used mira a lot (look), and aqui (here) and que bonita! (pretty) and I'd know the colours and numbers to use on some programs that dealt with colours and numbers (mira! azul!). I'd throw English/spanish things together, like when I wanted her to click the mouse somewhere I'd say "click aqui!", so funny. And then to log out I'd say "adios!". She would always look so relieved to see me! Her English has picked up some but she still slips her hand into mine whenever she can, she's so cute.
SW: yeah, that *was cold. And she's not even woman enough to tell me to my face. Her classroom is across the hall from my French office. I must've seen her 10 times today.
FT - I had a student sort of like the one you're describing, except she was referred to me because she had a teacher describe her as an ESL (English as a second language) candidate when in fact she was dyslexic. She couldn't grasp the language because she couldn't read the words.
Thinking about the Krista situation, here's what I think the options are:
a. K is a SIPster trying to stir things up at SIP. b. K is a SIPster trying to stir things up here. c. K is a Daisy trying to stir things up at SIP. d. K is a Daisy trying to stir things up here. e. K an outside agitator trying to stir things up in general. ~P~ anyone?
AP, why don't you put up a poll and let's vote on it?
Goodnight Kristin, hope you feel better and that you enjoy tomorrow!
Kasey: we have at least 5 other students I can think of off the top of my head who were born in Canada but receive ESL support because they were raised by grandparents or whatnot who don't speak English. I actually was born in Toronto but did not speak any English until I started school, but that was 40 years ago! My parents were new immigrants, the babysitter spoke the same language as my parents, and we didn't really associate with anyone who spoke much English, my cousins who came after us weren't even here yet.
I was just pointed to this blog a few days ago after Shannon (I think) posted a link over at MWoP. Has 'Krista' been here before? I haven't gone back to read earlier posts.
I just went back to read comments from earlier today. I'm mad I missed the American Idol discussion. :) Hopefully I catch it next week.
FT - That's really interesting. I was just on vacation and we met two Canadian couples, one from Quebec and one from Saskatoon. The couple from Quebec had a similar story to yours and tried to re-teach me some French words I lost after not speaking it for almost 15 years.
AP, No polls - reminds me of somewhere else too much.
FT, I'm SO sorry about the job being yanked out from under you by a so-called friend.
Do you know much about the school with the French Immersion position? From what you've shared, it sounds like leaving where you are could be a huge relief - naughty, naughty kids.
Is it a public school or private? You're at a private school now, right?
In Minnesota, the immersion schools are some of the best elementary schools around.
Four in a row, I need to stop posting. The last time this happened was over at Fellowship when I posted a recipe and follow-up instructions for puppy chow.
CK: no, not at a private school. I'm at a Catholic school. Taxes can be streamed to public schools or Catholic ("separate") schools. So Catholic taxpayers pay my salary I guess. I also pay my taxes to Catholic schools because that's where my kids go. I would not need a teaching degree to teach in a private school here, but I do need a teaching degree to teach in a publicly-funded school. I've never worked in a private school actually, the pay is much much lower and not unionized.
This school is also part of the school board I work for now. It would be very unlikely that I'd leave my school board because then I'd lose my seniority and start again with year 0 (start at the bottom of the pay scale again, too). So I'll pretty well be working in publicly-funded Catholic schools until I retire. And yes, I am looking forward to escaping the little hooligans at my current school. This could be a good thing, as MckMama would say.
Thanks everyone for your sympathy, I always know I can lay everything out here and get sympathy, LOL!
Sure. My real name is not Kasey, but it's what I've been called since childhood because of the first letters of my first and middle names (K and C, or Kate and Ceceila). I was born and raised in the Midwest, went to school here and stayed here. I've been married for a few years, and do not have children - although I work with kids with learning differences and care about them deeply. I don't have a blog, but read A LOT of them - I spend my mornings with Reader and a Diet Dr. Pepper. My husband is a professional chef, and I dabble in baking in hopes that one day we can be a dynamic cooking duo. Hope that helps!
Oooh Kasey you *must contribute a recipe to the recipe thread! I think most of us have crockpots, whatcha got? Not very chef-y I know, but we're all a little low on time for cooking. Cuts into Daisy time, you know, LOL!
OMG, your husband is a chef and you bake! So cool! We love talking about food and recipes here! Yay!
Here's my elevator introduction: I'm a single, middle-aged cat lady with no kids. I've been around since OHIH, where I was mostly a lurker. I've got two weeks of MckSobriety, which I brag about incessantly. I'm almost as self-centered and annoying as JM, but not quite.
He calls himself a 'cook' because he's only been doing it for 4 years post culinary school - but most everyone else calls him a chef. I LIKE to bake, and am getting better, although I don't have the creative instincts that some people do. I do a lot of reading before making something.
"Publically funded schools are not allowed to have a religious affiliation."
Well yeah, that comes up every 4 years around here too. The separate school system has a history in Canada. Irish immigrants children not welcomed into schools, and their first political involvement was the public funding of Catholic schools. But not all provinces currently have it.
I have zero creative instincts in the kitchen. All I can do is follow recipes.
Lord have mercy. A high school in Mississippi cancelled the senior prom because one girl wanted to bring her girlfriend to the prom. Thank God for Missisippi though. Otherwise we Alabamians would have no one to look down on.
SW, isn't that the dumbest thing, the deal about the prom? What made me laugh was a journalist (Mike Gallanos, I think) telling about it and mentioning it was right by the Alabama border, like that explained it.
CK: the Irish weren't welcome in a lot of places in Canada and the US, but another problem the Catholic Irish had with Canada's public schools were that they would be forced to recite Protestant prayers.
So every 4 years someone runs on a "one school system for all" platform. And every 4 years the union shudders a little and then it all goes away and we go on as before. What happens is that other affiliations want their schools funded too but it all comes down to numbers in the end. So I pay taxes to some school system, might as well be the one I'm interested in.
Kids in Catholic schools have to take Religion, and in high school if they do not pass Religion every year, they will *not be issued a high school diploma. It is a valid course, and the highschool *can hold you back.
Having said that, there are kids at my school who do not have the sacramant of First Communion (Grade 2). They are allowed to be at a Catholic school because they and at least 1 parent was baptized. Part-time Catholics if you will. But they don't want any of that messy sacrament stuff, no thank you.
Reminds me of someone over on SIP who shall remain nameless who once called the host a "stale cracker". N-i-c-e. That is so offensive, I could only stare at my screen.
Crap. It doesn't work for me, either. I am blogger-challenged, it seems. Ah, well. I'll pull it down tomorrow, too lazy tonight, but my vote says it's a SIPster who is looking to stir shit up in both places, which isn't even an option I listed.
Yes, it's the dumbest thing AP. What the heck do those ignorant assholes think is going to happen if two girls come to the prom together? Everybody's going to lose Jesus and start coupling up, same sex-wise? It's ridiculous.
FT, I don't mind the school talk at all..it's interesting and I learn from it, which is cool since it's, you know, *school talk. ;-)
SW, I have no idea what the big deal is. I figure they're afraid someone might see two girls holding one another or kissing, which will bust open a whole range of previously squelched down, sinful carnal instincts in all the other kids.
::tiptoes in quietly to see if anyone is still awake... gotta be careful not to step on all the drunk low life no life women lying all over the floor in here - awww crap stepped on a creaky board, oopsie daisy::
Lindsay was that your face I stepped on???? shit sorry hon!!
Right FT - its so contagious it could become an epidemic if they let those two girls go to prom together... there would be homosexual tendancies all over the town... it would be horrendous!!! Thank God they had the sense to shut down the who damn prom!!! Idiots!
I think the girls that wanted to go together needed a new toaster, and what better way than to trick someone into turning gay - and boom, new toaster for them! yep - thats what it was!
<<<<is soo innocent!! If you had said you are paging through a playboy for some unknown reason - then I'd claim the guilt, but I don't even know what a Jamaican beef patty is - although it sounds delicious!!!
Gotta go to bed early - I have to get up at 7 am to go to my mom's and start moving day! Ugggh I hate any times in the a.m. before about 9! I hope I can sleep - its been a while since I've been to bed this early!!
You've never *had one? Oh my goodness, they are junky but oh so good. You can actually use one as a sandwich filler but I don't get the appeal of that. There's a local sub place that sells their version, they bake it, open up the shell, add lettuce, cheese, sub sauce whatever you like and it's an instant sandwich. The patty I'm having is spicy, so good!
Good to read your explanation about Catholic schools. Do public schools still have protestant prayers? When did they go away (if they did)?
That would so be a no-no here. There are many fundies who would love to see it, and choose to homeschool because the public schools don't have prayer.
I'd like to ask them how they'd feel if we required Islamic prayers in school. Maybe they'd figure out then what exactly is wrong with their own wishes.
No, no religion whatsoever in public schools allowed as far as I'm aware. No Christmas concerts, they are Holiday concerts. No prayer, no Easter, no Christmas no mention of anybody's God. The building my school is in is half catholic half public. Literally split down the middle. But no issue, we invite them to watch our Christmas concert, they invite us to see their holiday concert. There are some Catholic teachers who come our way to participate when we do Ash Wednesday, for example. Everyone's tolerant of the other. But it sometimes makes us feel like we should be low-key Catholics and we don't want to be.
My youngest was in Montessori for JK/SK (which is private) and it was owned by a Jewish guy. But in December, he ran a Christmas (not holiday) pageant, so kudos to him. I mean if he ran it in January it could be a winter concert, right? If I had to guess (but I'm not sure) I would guess that Catholics were in the minority at that school, but he ran the event like on December 23 so what else was he going to call it?
Hey FT! I'm not at all caught up so I'm lost as to what is going on in everyone's life right now. I'm just kind of jumping in with both feet! How are you doing? Everything going okay for you?
Hi Tee! Yes, I'm still here, how have you been, are you feeling better?
My September placement is up in the air, may be at this school, may be at another. That's pretty well my big news. Oh and I had a nephew born 2 weeks ago.
I'm going to get caught up this weekend, I promise!
Especially gotta see what the scoop is with the poll over there --->
Any particular place to look?
Oh and I've been watching the videos and LMAO! This one is good, my fave is the Tetris God! LOL!!! I had to share that one. But are they both so exactly how it is?!
FT- I saw the picture of your nephew and he's too cute for words! Congratulations! Does he have a name yet? Are you willing to share an updated picture with us soon?
I'm hanging in there but not really feeling any better. I'll be okay. I wish I was able to spend more time online chatting with everyone though. I miss ya'll!
Do you want to stay at the same school or are you looking to move on?
FT- Oh, baby needs a name! (Sorry if you have answered that question a thousand times already!) He's too handsome to be nameless! How old is he now? Around two weeks, right?
Kasey- In scanning quickly, I saw that you joined us! It's nice to "meet" you!
I love them when they are so small! Baby V was so big at birth that she never really seemed like a newborn! She's five months old now and learning new things every day. She can sit up on her own for a few minutes if you sit her up. She has started taking a little bit of solid food. (Seven year old AR loves to feed her!) She's rolling over and has quite an attitude! She's such a blessing to our family and I have no doubt that your nephew is as cherished as Baby V is!
Good morning! I can't believe I'm posting this morning before Kristin - she's always the first in the morning poster! I hope you got to sleep in a little bit Kristin!!
I'm off to my moms to load up the truck and get her moved in - will be online later tonight - hope everyone has a great Saturday!!!
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 346 of 346 Newer› Newest»Kasey_gee, welcome! I'm curious, how'd you find us? And SIP is for "Sans Insanity Please".
They don't anymore :)
AP,
Which Robin are you referring to - Robin in Montana, or Robin2?
Hey Kasey_gee - yes, I'm curious also.
Ah, Christy - a clue....
AP are you being bombarded with e-mails about theories? Ha.
Off to watch a movie with husband. BBL.
Well, this is getting curiouser and curiouser, isn't it? I think Kristin might need to change her underwear. ;-)
Documentary - Shadow of the Moon.

ahhh....I agree, no biggie - but I know that it will cause a stir.
What is the Shortround relationship, btw, if you don't mind me asking? Whose is he? He's a looker. :)
No problem, Kasey and don't be a stranger! The more the merrier around these parts. :-)
Kristin, sorry, I was typing my reply to AP so I didn't see you asked as well. Hope I cleared things up.

Oh, FT, I am so sorry. What a kick in the balls that was. :-( I hope you find something even better, and quickly.
Oh, that stinks FT. I hope you find something else.
FT, that stinks!
Oh FT - that sucks and I'm sorry that the *friend did that.
FT- sorry to hear that. Hope you find something better.

Evening all! Welcome Kasey! I see you brought Krista with you, thanks! We've missed her.
FT, sorry about your "friend" stabbing you in the back about the job. Are you going to confront her?

Yeah, "Krista" really livens this place up. So glad she could stop by.

I always wondered what happened to her after OHIH went under and I lost track of the whole thing. I guess now I know?
SW: yeah, that *was cold. And she's not even woman enough to tell me to my face. Her classroom is across the hall from my French office. I must've seen her 10 times today.
FT - I had a student sort of like the one you're describing, except she was referred to me because she had a teacher describe her as an ESL (English as a second language) candidate when in fact she was dyslexic. She couldn't grasp the language because she couldn't read the words.
Hey ladies, I'm going to bed. wanted to go to bed much earlier but I was doing a gag gift for BIL for the couple's shower tomorrow.
I think I will look like rudolph tomorrow :o(
Night Kristin.
Feel better, Kristin!
I vote "e".
Good night Kristin. Thanks for helping me out earlier today.
"::nervous laughter; locking doors::"
I have a gun. *nods*
Let me go see if my semi-sodden brain can figure polling out.
Kristin, what is the gag gift? And goodnight!
~P~? Oh God I just got crazy flashbacks...
Wasn't ~P~ a dude?
FT - That's really interesting. I was just on vacation and we met two Canadian couples, one from Quebec and one from Saskatoon. The couple from Quebec had a similar story to yours and tried to re-teach me some French words I lost after not speaking it for almost 15 years.
~P~ was a misogynistic asshole dude. And he was AP's boyfriend. Inexplicably.
Kasey_gee - welcome to Daisy. Please don't eat the daisies. But you may sniff them.
SW, I was just going to say ~P~ is like Pat from SNL! LOL
Kasey, want to give us your elevator introduction? You can make shit up. We won't know otherwise. ;-)
Sandy, that's perfect!
You gals are a safe sounding board too!
*** poll's up ***
SW, you owe me. *leers*
FT - in the US, Catholic schools are private schools. They receive only nominal public funding in Minnesota (for textbooks, counseling services).
Publically funded schools are not allowed to have a religious affiliation.
Oooh Kasey you *must contribute a recipe to the recipe thread! I think most of us have crockpots, whatcha got? Not very chef-y I know, but we're all a little low on time for cooking. Cuts into Daisy time, you know, LOL!
No!!!!
Oh, sorry, CK....just saw what you said. I'll let this one stay but will rethink others.
AP - I'll survive. Just no contests or wish lists, okay.
Kasey - are you a fellow Minnesotan?
KC ------ CK
LOL re wish lists
He calls himself a 'cook' because he's only been doing it for 4 years post culinary school - but most everyone else calls him a chef.
I LIKE to bake, and am getting better, although I don't have the creative instincts that some people do. I do a lot of reading before making something.
"Publically funded schools are not allowed to have a religious affiliation."
Well yeah, that comes up every 4 years around here too. The separate school system has a history in Canada. Irish immigrants children not welcomed into schools, and their first political involvement was the public funding of Catholic schools. But not all provinces currently have it.
CK - I grew up in Michigan and live in Illinois now.
::passing martini to CK to calm nerves about poll of which I cannot see::
Kasey, I'm from Illinois.
::also passing cheetos to dog so he doesn't feel left out::
LOL Sandy!
Well good for the Irish - looking out for their kids. I like to hear that.
SW - I think I read that she is suing them with help from the ACLU or something. Good for her.
I think some ACLU person was going to flip the bill and bus the kids to some hotel so they would have their prom.
"AP - I'll survive. Just no contests or wish lists, okay."
I promise, CK!
I was swayed by SW's snexiness but will be strong if it happens again.
I'm heading to bed. Thanks for the warm welcome. Night!
Well hell, the poll's not working for me anyway, so I wasted my snexiness for nothing.
Seriously I can't see the poll. It just says Internet Explorer cannot blah blah blah.
So which one should I blindly pick lol.
SW, isn't that the dumbest thing, the deal about the prom? What made me laugh was a journalist (Mike Gallanos, I think) telling about it and mentioning it was right by the Alabama border, like that explained it.
Sandy - tasty martini. Dog is getting fat from all the Cheetos you're giving him.
Thank you from both of us.
Back to the movie with husband.
I can't see the poll! :0(
CK: the Irish weren't welcome in a lot of places in Canada and the US, but another problem the Catholic Irish had with Canada's public schools were that they would be forced to recite Protestant prayers.
/headdesk
Yes, it's the dumbest thing AP. What the heck do those ignorant assholes think is going to happen if two girls come to the prom together? Everybody's going to lose Jesus and start coupling up, same sex-wise? It's ridiculous.
Okay, no more school talk.
Okay, I'm out. Glad you joined us tonight, Kasey! Please come back soon. Night everybody!
I read about that prom, that's just a silly decision. I'm sure they aren't contagious, for God's sake!
Night SW.
I'm out too. Taking my goiter sized lymph node to bed.
Later.
Goodnight, Sandy and her goiter-node.
Goodnight to the early birds.
::tiptoes in quietly to see if anyone is still awake... gotta be careful not to step on all the drunk low life no life women lying all over the floor in here - awww crap stepped on a creaky board, oopsie daisy::
FT It IS contagious - I caught it!!
Karen - aww you woke me up ::throwing shoe at you::
Karen: See, they were right to try to stop this outrage, LOL!
Idiots!
**whole** damn prom
Now if The Who was at the prom.. that would be something!
I think that prom was nothing but a covert recruitment event. After all, who *wouldn't be gay, given a chance?
I think the girls that wanted to go together needed a new toaster, and what better way than to trick someone into turning gay - and boom, new toaster for them! yep - thats what it was!
Karen, that makes perfect sense to me and who doesn't need 84 toasters?
You guys said "toaster" not I've got a Jamaican beef patty in the toaster oven. Damn you both.
I mean *now* I've got a Jamaican beef patty in the toaster oven.
Night all!
::snickering in the background, satisfied her poll curse was successful::
You've never *had one? Oh my goodness, they are junky but oh so good. You can actually use one as a sandwich filler but I don't get the appeal of that. There's a local sub place that sells their version, they bake it, open up the shell, add lettuce, cheese, sub sauce whatever you like and it's an instant sandwich. The patty I'm having is spicy, so good!
Here's a picture I random-googled:

CK: your voodoo powers clearly outrank Corinne's.
Only on blog polls, FT. Corinne's got me beat in competitive skating.
Hey gang, how's the evening going?
Hi Tee. I'm off to bed. G-night.
Goodnight, CK! I hope you enjoyed the movie with your husband. Was it good?
Lisa, Karen, Lindsay- Anybody still around?
Anybody? Anybody? Please, somebody talk with me... I need an excuse not to go to bed yet!
Hi Tee! Yes, I'm still here, how have you been, are you feeling better?
My September placement is up in the air, may be at this school, may be at another. That's pretty well my big news. Oh and I had a nephew born 2 weeks ago.
Hey! It's been too long...again.
Or what?! Um yeah that was how my last sentence was supposed to end. Guess my sleeping pills are kicking in.
Hi Heather! I was over on MWOP and saw you there. I think I commented on their like once but I keep up on it a little.
Hey Heather! Got to love them sleeping pills!
I would like to change schools at this point. And no name for the new nephew yet!
FT- Oh, baby needs a name! (Sorry if you have answered that question a thousand times already!) He's too handsome to be nameless! How old is he now? Around two weeks, right?
Kasey- In scanning quickly, I saw that you joined us! It's nice to "meet" you!
Yes Tee, 2 weeks today (Friday).
Well it's getting late for me too, and I'm starting to nod off. Boys have swimming in the a.m. so I'm off to bed soon.
Goodnight!
Good night FT! I'm headed to bed in a few minutes myself!
Morning Karen! Yup you beat me. LM let me sleep past 7:00 today.
Have fun moving!
Hey Tee, nice to see you on!
Hi Heather! Good to see you jump on too!
*** new post up ***
I'm going to take down the dumbass, non-working poll while I'm here, too. If anyone minds, sorry. You'll live.
*grumbles about the stupid things I'll do after a few drinks for a snexy girl in a Peter Pan collar*
Post a Comment
Yes, you said this...
