Work handed in is to be computer-generated or printed and double-spaced. I'm pretty sure in highschool I submitted papers in cursive writing. I'm sure of it. Granted, it's harder to read if a teacher has to go through 30 papers, though.
CK, I've got pictures of her on my phone but can't find my cord...I'll post some soon. She's 5'6", a size 14, but I swear to God she looks like more like a 10. She's still upright, no hunch, and slightly dark skin with wispy, very short, thin white hair and her scalp shines through if she isn't careful with the fluff. Dark eyes, perfect teeth thanks to good dentures she's worn since age 41. She typically wears jeans, floweredy t-shirts and matching Chucks or Crocs. From the neck down, watching her, you'd swear she was about 16. She doesn't walk, she bebops. And she always smells super good even though she smokes. You never smell smoke on her for some reason and she always wears Bijan.
I hate seeing some things go but cursive isn't one of them. Even as a kid, I never understood the point of it and still don't. Handwriting was never a strong point here, though. Mine is odd.
Noooo, it's straight and fine. She goes to a barber shop, actually, and gets a plain, parted on the side, short cut. And she loves jewelry so you'll never see her without earrings, a necklace and a ring. And a Mickey Mouse watch. :-D
"My dad has the fluffy white hair. My mom tells him he looks like a Q-tip when he needs a haircut."
We call them Q-Tips around here all the time in snowbird land. Put them behind the wheel of their beige, silver or baby blue Buick or Mercury Grand Marquis and they become our state bird - the Cotton Headed Wheel Peeper.
I can't lie; I love my handwriting. It's kind of weird, but distinctive. I loved learning cursive; I felt so grown up when I learned it in (I think) 3rd grade.

I might hate you a little. I make grocery lists (printing) and then have to ask people if they can figure out what I wrote.
I am in bad bad need of a hug, even if I say I', fine.. please don't believe me. I'm a wreck and I don't know what to do. Just.. please remember that if I say I'm fine.. it's not true. I'm trying to act fine, but I'm so far from it
Hey all. No exclamation marks from me today. I'm grumpy. Springing forward bites.
LFOB, I'm sorry you aren't doing well. You don't have to pretend to be "fine," here or anywhere.
BD, your pork with the garlic and ginger in the slits? Sounds awesome!
AP, I loved your description of Miss Arse. Very vivid.
I hate cursive writing too, and I suck at it. In the sense that mine is illegible. If I were intending to write in indecipherable code, then I'm great at it.
Bella, the dill, garlic and feta cream cheese spread recipe looks delicious. I've been needing a dip that goes well with raw vegetables. This looks like a good one.
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

That's interesting. When i am writing I write primarily in cursive. Or a mostly cursive/partly print mix. I always enjoyed cursive.
Portugal = for sure cursive in the schools.
Sandy,
Yes, if the teacher says C should learn to write in cursive, then the school should be teaching her.
My daughter is left-handed. When she does try to write in cursive, it is actually much easier to read.
I love cursive maybe that's why I'm confused. I get the computer age thing. I would really hate to see it go.
CK, guess what I'm doing this summer. I knew I should have went into teaching.
OT-Peter Graves died today at 84.
"AP - what does Miss Arse look like?"

Thanks, AP. Had a picture in my mind, but I wanted to have an accurate one.
Is her hair kind of halo like? Cotton candy?
Awww, I'm sorry to hear about Peter Graves.

Record high today - 64. It was such a lovely change.
My dad has the fluffy white hair. My mom tells him he looks like a Q-tip when he needs a haircut.
Sandy - that's cute. Does he laugh or is he mad?

A local landlord donated a kidney to his tenant. How cool. There are kind people in the world.

AP - lurking on your blog - found a picture of your sweet mom with a funny expression on an October post.
CK, he laughs about it. They been married almost 45 years and have known each other since kindergarten.
AP, rofl.
When they come back up here to the north in the summer, we call them "Hats and Hairs".
CK, I had to go find which picture that was...yep, that's my mom in all her glory!
Sandy - that's good. I say "Beware large cars driven by old men in hats".
Hats and hairs...lol!
Do you see a lot of red and purple?

AP,
You should be able to see the doxie pictures on my FB.
When I'm old, I will wear purple.
I forgot to wish you all Happy Pi Day.
Right back atcha, CK. :)
BD,
Are you all recovered from your BB named Fester, and the related surgery?
We do have the red and purple "Hairs" here.
I am! I am all better, and pain free. Thanks for asking, CK.

Hi Kristin and Sandy.
Be back in a bit. I'm on carpool duty this morning. Yay me, NOT!
Off to get ready for my day.
Good morning, all and Kay? {{{{{{{You}}}}}}}}
I'm so sorry. Do you want to talk about it? We're pretty good listeners.

From last night's discussion, I remember Carol Burnett in the drapery dress vividly, even though I was probably 10 at the time. Good stuff.

Hey fellow crockpotters - I'm thinking of going home at lunch and throwing something in the crockpot.
I was thinking chicken w/ cream of mushroom - nothing exciting. I want something creamy to put over rice. Any other thoughts?
My head is in a fog today.
