Hi Karen! I'm still hanging around for a bit. Tomorrow we plan to go to a maple syrup festival style thing, should be fun and the weather's been beautiful so even though maple syrup festivals should really take place in cool weather, this is okay us too.
This was a twitter post to ccinmotion or someone like that - who sometimes has funny tweets about Mckmama - not even sure how i found her to tell the truth - but look at the twitpic (I hope I did this right - twitter-idiot here!!)
@Lo_Michelle Posted my ex-bf's pics for revenge. Please RT. please help pass on! http://twitpic.com/16ezzp
I'm pretty sure I remember this, Karen. What makes a grown woman, a *mother, post pictures like this of herself and boyfriends online for all to see? I don't get it. Has she no dignity?
Yea she is disgusting, but I think someone else posted the boyfriend with the itty bitty peni - I think they were sending it to seesee - so it must be a friend of hers, which makes sense too....
Sorry FT! Hope you weren't eating a snack or anything!! I didn't exactly not get the job - I told them I was no longer interested - before they had a chance to offer it.... But she did email me back and tell me there was another position available that I could have if I wanted, since I passed all their testing, but it was part time, and it was in their collections department and I'm not at all into calling people for collections. They would tell me that they didn't have the $$ to pay that month cause their car broke down or whatever excuse they would have, and I would say ok... goodbye! I can relate all too well, and would not be forceful enough. I told her that if something full time in a secretarial or admin assistant position became available to please let me know.... so we'll see what happens!
Karen, yes, he was with several friends and one of them is just freaking hyper and loud. A nice kid, I know him, but could use some ritalin or something. He was over-stimulated and just being obnoxious as hell. I guess when club employees asked him to stop a few times and got no results, they asked his friends to either settle him down or get him to leave. Jake and the others did a half-assed job of trying and also didn't get him out. So, they all got kicked out. It was fair and he wasn't complaining, he just thought it was sort of funny. I've been to the place, it's huge and they run a pretty tight ship for what it is...he's right, it was fair. And funny.
I'd hate to let her think I've married her for her money, though. Although you do make a good point about the property taxes. Which, by the way, I am now signed up to have paid quarterly and automatically taken from my checking account, thankyouverymuch.
Sounds funny - and it must not have bothered them too much!
My neice (Melanie - the one that was in the accident and is paraplegic) has an aunt on her mom's side of the family that is being charged with a hate crime, because of a gay young man being beaten in a parking lot. Its not fair though and I feel bad for her - the beating should NOT have happened but apparently this gay male couple were in a straight bar that this girl works at - although she wasn't working at the time, but her boyfriend was - he is a bouncer at the same bar. So this gay young guy (I think he was 22 or so...) was being a loud mouthed ass all night - drunk and rude and obnoxious. The bar was closing, her boyfriend was trying to clear the bar out, the obnoxious kid wasn't leaving nicely - so she tried to "escort" him out - and he knocked her down - so she came back into the bar, all dirty and snowy - and told her boyfriend that some guy just knocked her down - he said "who did that" and she said "the obnoxious gay guy" and the boyfriend and his friend went to the parking lot and beat him up - someone heard her say "the gay guy" and thought that it was a gay bashing.... I guess there are protests at this bar now and she's had death threats, and it all seems pretty innocent as far as the gay bashing part of it... but she lost her job, lost her apartment and is stuck living in the town she's in right now until all charges are cleared - and it almost seems like she might serve time for this... and I feel horrible for her. She's a really sweet girl!
"I guess there are protests at this bar now and she's had death threats, and it all seems pretty innocent as far as the gay bashing part of it..."
It surely does and that's just awful, Karen. She used it as an identifying feature, nothing more. It's no different to saying "the guy with the curly red hair"...you state what sets them apart from the norm in that circumstance. The boyfriend didn't beat him up for being gay, either. He should have been charged with assault and battery, as should the gay guy have been. I hope this gets better for her.
AP - A willing and ready eye drop recipient is a god send :-D So Jake got kicked out of a bar? LOL! Rights of Passage! Brings back a fun (and humiliating) memory of my one time being kicked out, too :-D Very glad to hear it was his friend being obnoxious, Jake is a kind and gentle soul.
I agree the boyfriend should be charged, and the gay guy, but her? She was a victim... nobody saw her get pushed, but she was muddy and when asked what happened, she identified him - as he was one of two gay men in the bar - that is what stood out to her I guess.. It could have been the red head, or the black guy or whatever, was not a gay bashing and shouldn't be a hate crime!
Speaking of the black guy - we have neighbors who are black, and I have nothing at all against them, as most everyone knows, my grandson is half black - but these people have a HUGE chip on their shoulder, since the day we moved in. Once Patti was expecting a UPS delivery and it didn't come here, but when she checked online it said it was delivered, so she knocked on their door to see if it was accidentally delivered there by mistake. The guy said no - he didn't take it. Then two days later, the guy asked Patti if she was going to apologize to him for accusing him of stealing her UPS package, she tried to explain and he walked away from her... saying "whatever"
This past weekend, my son knocked on their door - asked really politely if they could move their car for a minute so he could jump my car (parked beside theirs) and the wife looked out, saw it was us, said " uh no - i don't think so - fuck you" and slammed the door shut.... I was like WTF?
I feel like they think that we are somehow "against" them... and I don't get it, we've never even spoken to them... this was the way they act from day #1... It makes me sad actually - like what did I do wrong....
Hey Karen-I loved your elevator story with your mom. Made me laugh so hard, too. Those are such good times when the laughter starts and keeps going.
When single and 20 something, a girlfriend and I went to a bar in Seattle. Very low key local bar. 2 guys came to sit with us. My girlfriend knew one of them and invited them. She is a blonde bombshell. Anyhoo, boring, plain me was minding my own business and the guy next to me grabbed my thigh under the table, I froze, thinking it an accident, until he moved it up my thigh with a huge smirk. I went ballistic, stood up, yelled, "You fucking jerk!" The whole place went silent and then the bartender came over and asked my friend and I to leave. The guys got to stay. Actually kind of proud of myself :-D
Kaytie, I need to hear your "getting kicked out" story, too. I've never been kicked out of anyplace but a car dealership.
Karen, that's a shame about your neighbors. I get that they may have had a bad experience with white people in the past, but they shouldn't hold it against all white people. And the reverse is true, too. I get being cautious, I get holding a grudge but be grown up enough to just have some polite walls up until you've had actual experiences with the individuals.
Total change of subject but does anyone else ever get in a blogging funk? Where you just can't think of anything anyone might find remotely interesting? I was looking at mine tonight, trying to think. I finally just closed it up.
Ummm....since mine is blank...guess I can relate? Let it lie a bit and it will come to you. Might I suggest you take a break from your blog, listen to some Benatar, Billy Idol and Sex Pistols, cook up some Curry and that amazing brain of yours will come up with something scintillating.
Kaytie, brace yourself, but don't care for Benatar or Billy Idol. I'll take the Sex Pistols, though. And Siouxsie. And old stuff from The Clash. I know, I'll listen to The Ramones while I waft curry through the air. ;-)
Yes, a car dealership. Since I know how dealerships can patronize women shopping alone and it irks the snot out of me, I had one of my best friends come with me. He coincidentally happened to be a licensed car dealer. I was trying to buy a new 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z and was trading in a 1985 Nissan Pulsar-from-hell that I owned outright. When they lowballed the Pulsar some $4,000 below the lowest book value out there, I objected and my friend said something (forget what) that alerted them to the fact he was a dealer. At that point, they asked us to leave. I was so stunned that I refused and long story hopefully shortened, the GM told us to leave (security escorted) or he'd call the cops on us.
((((Hugs)))) to all of you.. I've been having a very rough time, rough enough that I got to the point where I really wanted to die. I wasn't actively considering suicide, so much as insisting that I needed to die because I was in so much pain I saw no way out.. I had just told everyone I know when they asked "how I was" that I was 'fine' and I realized that I was so far from fine i didn't even know what fine was anymore. Thank you thank you thank you, for hugging me and.. the kitty. It really helped. I keep feeling like I can't stand another day, another minute of this disease and the mental anguish that it brings. I love all of you, and am plotting kidnapping shortround and cuddling him (and promptly sending him back as soon as the diaper is dirty, my kids are potty trained. NO thank you.)
I'm just in rough shape physically, and probably worse emotionally.
Guess my quote of the day is "I can't run this race believing I might lose, still so much to see and so much left to do. Yes I'll fall before I fly, but no one can say I never tried"
Once this is posted I have a walmart story for you all thta might boggle the mind.
LFoB - gentle hugs to you - I can't say that I know how you are feeling cause I've not been there, but I'm really sorry you are going through so much! I'm glad that you cameto check in with us... vent and rant all you want!!
stealing Kaytie's mug o wine and settling in to hear the Walmart story!!
Prolly no one up.. so walmart. Went to walmart to have some scrips filled, the scrip should have been ready 3 days before.. And it wasn't today. They made us wait an hour, for a prescription we should have had 3 days ago ready to go. And so we shopped, bought some cottage cheese, fruit, applesauce, toilet paper. Typical shit.
We finally got our scrip, and left in the PARKING LOT, this dude came up flashed a security badge and went through our groceries to prove we didn't steal our teddy grahams.. I'm not joking. He was of the belief we had stolen something. It was so embarrasing and awful. I was just, horrified and almost cryed. I seriously hope that guys rots.. my god. What is the world coming to?
So have we all been held outside a walmart? Am I like, late on this phenomenon. I was so horrified, I can't even explain how scary and intrusive it was to have a man I didn't know going through my groceries with the intent that I stole something. i also felt very stalked, because he knew A. What we'd gotten. B. what he thought we'd stolen and C. that we'd visited the pharmacy numerous times... I mean.. was this man following us while we shopped? Did he watch me pick out my razor blades, shampoo, cat litter? Did he listen to us discuss milk. I don't think that walmart will have my business anymore.
Ohhh! LFoB - I am new to this forum and a blogger ditz - with that drivel said, I am so sorry you are in such pain and in despair because of that pain. And when you are in that pain it is so tiresome to be asked how you are doing. Gritting your teeth and just saying "fine" is so fucking tiresome too. And WTF about Walmart security bothering you in the parking lot? I hate what this new America has become with everyone being guilty until proven innocent!
LFoB - I have been stopped at the door of Walmart to check against my receipt and what is in the bag, but not in the parking lot. I do get stopped in the parking lot of my hospital, where I work, to be checked that I am wearing my ID badge and parking in the right space.
I blog on occasion, I peaked really fast and early in blogging.. prolly like Pc's erections, fast and fleeting. I'm kay, lfob, and self proclaimed snark princess ;) Umm.. I have 3 kids, 2 annoying younger sisters, a great husband who deals with me daily. I also have fungal meningitis, and have been treating it for over a year. I'm not here a lot, but when I can post I do. Now share the wine, and no one gets hurt.
Oh shit is right LFoB. Meningitis hurts like hell and is scary shit. Fungal? You have my admiration woman for even being able to type. And I am saying nothing that you don't already know. Share my wine? Proud to!
Anyone still here? I'm not sure if i can explain cocci tonight.. it's hard to explain. I do reccomend google though, it has several spelling.. Coccidiomycosis is just easier than coccidioidomycosis. I'd like to point out it's the same damn word.
Oh boy...that is a bitch. Do not lose hope, though!!! And even though (as you said in your earlier post that you have a good partner and family), whatever it takes to get you beyond this, use it. And sending you another "Kitty" *hug!!!
Thanks, I'm cuddled up to my puppy and hubby atm. I have a few dogs, and even if my sheets have to be defurred daily, and I've found myself buying lint rollers in bulk sometimes the silliness that comes from a dog (or a 4 year old) can just make a bad day better.
And boy.. they have to be my kids because they're so silly sometimes. It's nice though, I've seen people who raise children with no sense of humor and they tend to be the creepiest kids >.> we have a new neighbour, her son grant? REALLY creepy. I met the lady, she dislikes us.. we're to happy. SHe drives a constantly clean SUV, with a 'breast cancer' license plate and her nails where perfect. When we met I was not wearing a bra, I was in jeans, my kids where in play clothes and had no seatbelts on in hte back of a very old 'play' truck.
Basically a vehicle preparing to die.. we do cpr every few months, but never more than 500 dollars worth (thems the rules on 'fun' vehicles that aren't actually safe on real roads) But her little boy grant looked like the kid from the omen, and when I said I hello I swear he hissed.. her golden retriever looked lonely and she was just very rude..
Moral of my blabber? My kids have a sense of humor.. and a sense of fun. The little boy in the uniform scares me, and he couldn't have bee 8. I doubt they'll let him play at our house.
I wish the crack doing neighbour, who lived with the one armed dude still lived there. Those two were at least.. interesting. These new people? No bueno.
Okay - caught up - LFoB - sorry about the security guard - I would have just kept walking.
AP - car dealership - awesome! and I have days where I don't want to blog or have no content - those are days where I just throw pics of LM up since he is so damn cute (speaking of, I have a new post up).
Karen - that was distrubing :(
Oh and LFoB and Karen - sorry about the neighbors - I don't really know any of mine - except the lady next door - who is my landlord's MIL and 2 doors down is a black family (not prejudiced here) that LM says hello to every morning when the mom walks the daughter to school.
LM has a sense of humor and is friendly to everyone - he hasn't met a stranger yet. I think it is funny.
Speaking of fun kids - I was walking LM to his classroom today and he made me giggle - he asked "where da ho?" - and of course I had to laugh. He was actually asking "where is the hole?" but in his 3 year old speak, it didn't quite come out that way.
I hate dealing with idiots - I've been trying to get my husband's physician to bill insurance for a visit 1/09 - every month we get a bill for the full amount, every month I call and tell them they need to bill the insurance. Now we got a collections notice - WTF!
No worries Margaret - I'll just keep throwing in pics of my guy - was going to say little man but you referenced IM and that would be inappropriate. :)
CK, the peeps leave on Saturday. The little guy is staying home with me because MIL really has nothing to do with him nor did she or does she invite him. NICE.
I won a party from Houseparty.com. They're all promotional parties. I am having a DiGiorno's Pizza and Breadstick party on Saturday. I won 6 free DiGiorno Pizza and Breadstick pizza packs. Included in the box of goodies is an apron, pizza cutter lots of coupons and a refrigerator magnet.
The rest of the time, B and me will be hanging out doing what a 4 year old wants to do.
LFoB - Not sure if you remember me or not, but I am so sorry for what you are going through. And I would never step foot in Walmart again.
I got booted from Michael's. My kids were going to grab a shopping cart for me and they ran through the store racing to get it. Not their finest moment, but I didn't think it required the lady asking us to leave :|
I've gotta get going this a.m. - making breakfast for The Husband and The Daughter. Then taking care of The Paperwork with The Daughter, and off to The Doctor for The Trigger Point Injections.
Morning everybody! LFOB, it was great to see you here last night and hear from you. I like what you said about raising kids with a sense of humor. My parents didn't do that, and I wish they had.
Not much to report from me today. I am way behind on a lot of things, so need to buckle down at work.
First though, I missed the See See pube pic at OHIH. Did she really post a picture of her crotch? WHY did she post a picture of her crotch?
Oh, come on, I don't want to SEE (see) the picture, I just want to know why she posted it! Surely there was a reason, but I can't imagine what it was. Like, "Oh, you guys wouldn't believe the great deal I got on a Brazilian today, and look what a great job they did!" Was that it?
So on a totally random note - my not pregnant sis has been sick for a little over a week - she went to one of the Redi-clinic's and they gave her meds etc and sent her on her marry way - but she wasn't getting better - went to her regular doctor - she has bronchitis - borderline pneumonia and the meds that the clinic gave her were doing the opposite of what needed to be done. Her hubby was also sick but seems to have recuperated.
Then preggo sis's hubby got sick - 103 fever 2 days ago - and now preggo sis is at home sick.
SW- I don't think there was a particular reason she posted that pic. If I remember, the post was a recap of her day (which, hello, was boring with a capital B) and then, bam! She posts that pic. Ewwww.
I'm still in therapy because of it. My shrink doesn't think the trauma will ever heal. :P
I'm pretty sure that for whatever reason I was blessed to have missed that pic. You know the Lord never gives you more than you can handle, and I was apparently too weak emotionally to see her business and recover :p
Jeez Kristin - I'm sorry for your sisters. That's scary - especially to be around that kind of fever and pregnant. I hope they all get to feeling better - and I hope you dodge that bullet.
Morning, everyone! Sandy, your party sounds fun and I do hope you get good results from the school. I haven't kicked anyone's ass in a long time - want me to kick your MIL's?
<--talks a big game, but is secretly a big chicken.
LFoB - I am so sorry for what you are going through, and sorry about that Walmart story. IN answer to your question, though, yes, he had probably been following you all over the store, watching you.
And with that, here's my Walmart shoplifting story. I knew how loss prevention works in those stores and knew lots of the loss prevention people from them coming in to sign complaints in court, etc. So I'm at Walmart, Cami is close to 4, Katie is a baby (and she was one of *those babies, uh ... difficult) and I see this girl talking to Sally, who I know to be the loss prevention person in Walmart. I think nothing of it and we go on with our shopping. But all of a sudden I see this girl that was talking to Sally kind of cruise past the aisle I'm on, then come back and go in the aisle across like she's shopping for shampoo or whatever. Then I'm in housewares and there she is, very intent on picking out towels, etc., etc.
So I start keeping an eye on *her, and sure enough she's following me and it just really pissed me off. It's all I can do to keep Cami with me, keep Katie from flinging cans of creamed corn at passers-by or from bailing out of the cart on her head, I'm not really making myself too unnoticeable if I'm going to steal a roll of paper towels, you know?
Anyway, this goes on for a bit, 20 minutes or so, of her following me around, but looking like she's shopping and never looking directly at me. We finally end up in the toy aisle and I'm standing there while Cami is agonizing over which My Little Pony she's going to get, and I see this girl on the end of our aisle, you know how they have end displays, and she's got her face shoved through the shelving so she can look through the little slit of the shelf at me. I have HAD IT, and I stick my face right up to hers, but on my side of the shelf, look her directly in her beady little eyes, and say very loudly, "I'M NOT STEALING ANYTHING, SO YOU CAN MOVE ALONG AND SPEND YOUR TIME TRYING TO CATCH SOMEONE ELSE NOW!!!" She jumped a foot off the ground and I swear there was a trail of dust behind her as she sped off down the aisle. lol.
Kristin - that sounds very fun! I'd love to go to the Livestock show. I see Brooks & Dunn are going to perform on the 20th - that ought to be a great show!
I would have loved to have gone to see a performance but ummm....my SO didn't take the hint - the I'd really like to go to the rodeo hint. Such is life.
Great Wal-mart story - stalking at Wal-mart - good times!
Robin, I love the mental image of you sticking your face in the shelf and bitching that woman out! Parts of your life would make a very funny dark comedy, don't you think? And I mean that as a compliment. My life isn't even interesting enough for [insert name of most boring television channel].
SW - You should hear some of my stories about my old neighbor. I have some on my old blog, I should stick them in my new blog. You can't make up that kind of redneck stuff.
The rodeo is in town - so its the Houston Livestock show and rodeo - they have a lot of things that the kiddos can do and LM has a love for animals like his momma - so I want to take him. We were supposed to go on Sunday but we had BIL's birthday. This weekend is the last weekend and we have a cold front coming in on Saturday with rain so I don't want to go Saturday and on Sunday it's supposed to be cold. Tomorrow it is supposed to be beautiful and since everyone and their brother has taken time off in the last week or so, I figured I would too.
Margaret - the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It runs for a little over two weeks, if I'm thinking right, has a rodeo, concerts with big country names, the livestock show, etc. It's a very big deal, and the coolest thing about it is that they donate a TON of the proceeds to youth programs, scholarships, etc., in Texas. I would love to go.
Sandy, it's too bad that your MIL is so hateful but I bet it's fun to be just you and your little guy. I swear you remind me so much of my friend who was married to the DH. His MIL used to always have the one son go down but not the other...
Sandy - My grandma used to always take my sister on these big trips in the motorhome across the country. And never invite me. When I was 16 her excuse was that I should get a job for the summer so she wouldn't take me away from that. It was hurtful. So, I feel bad for B. Hopefully he doesn't realize any of this garbage now.
Thankfully we made peace before she passed. And then I think she felt guilty and left me her Suburban and none of the other grandkids got anything. Then my parents felt bad so they gave my sister money out of my dad's inheritance.
Well first it was a stupid customer - who called before 8:00 - and no one is really in the office (except me) until about 8:30 - he wanted to order something - I asked if he had a product number and says he doesn't - then proceeds to give me the product number - in which I tell him that is the product number- and he says, oh for me that is the item number - duh! Then I ask him if he has a quote, he says he does - so I ask him to just sign that and fax it in and we will get it ordered. He then proceeds to call 3 more x's - dude - we will get it ordered.
Then I have a rude customer who wants to know about an invoice she received in her e-mail. I proceed to ask, as nicely as possible, who it was from - she says quite rudely - I don't know. I proceed to ask her, if it was in your e-mail, doesn't it say who it was from. She then says it was faxed and it comes to her e-mail with no name, no nothing. I said, okay do you have the invoice number - she said yes it is 29184 - so I repeat - 28194 - and she says yes. I type that in to our system and can't find it and she gets all huffy with me and says you can't find 29184? and I say, oh - I said 28194 - my apologies - and then proceed to speak with her in regards to the invoice. She was quite rude and I was being more pleasant than normal.
Then I had a stupid person call....I will say more in a few...since this is long already.
Kristin - I would love to go next year! Whether I could swing it financially would be anyone's guess, but that would be fun.
Kelly and I want to go to Vegas to the PBR finals in November. I took Cami to Billings when the PBR was there about three years ago and it was so much fun.
We were in Vegas during PBR time like 9 years ago. We were so broke - don't know how we even paid for the trip - so I was bummed we couldn't get tickets to the rodeo. I loved walking around with all the cowboys, though. I love cowboys.
Margaret, it is fun just the two of us. We have sleep overs (he gets to sleep in my bed), I don't really have to cook that much. I take him places and he enjoys having a lot of mom and me time.
My sister is going to see Zac Brown Band on Sunday night and I guess she won tickets to an Eat and Greet where Zac Brown is actually doing the cooking. I'm kind of jealous.
My in-laws at least try to be fair. They don't *really like any of the grandkids :p I should say my MIL anyway. My FIL does try. He really does, but my MIL rules with an iron fist.
Lindsay - I love cowboys, too. I have had the biggest dumb crush on Adriano Moraes for years, and I was all sad when he retired. I guess him being Catholic, married and living in Brazil is probably going to prohibit us from getting together, though. Dang it.
You know the show Everyone Loves Raymond. My mil is Marie Barrone but ten times worse. Frank Barrone is exactly like my late FIL. Except FIL was an abusive drunk.
My ex-inlaws are always fair since my kids are the only ones they ever really get to see, with one exception. When my SIL is here (she lives in Florida and is my MIL's daughter, whereas the rest of the grandkids are from my FIL's kids) with her baby, the world stops and she is a flat-out bitch to my kids. Does things like buy Pepperidge Farm cookies which she gives him, but won't let my kids have. They're kids, that kills them. The last time she did that, I saw her give him one, saw CAmi ask for one and heard her tell her no, they were for him. Pissed me right off, and I went in the kitchen and gave them both one, and said, like I didn't know what had happened, "I saw Grandma give Reese one of these, so I figured you guys would want one, too." I don't get how someone can treat kids that way, at all.
Then I had a gentleman call about directions. We don't have a showroom or anything - and normally we have truck drivers call for directions so I usually ask what they are delivering - so we have an idea of what is coming and how to mark it when it arrives. He didn't speak english very well and kept interupting while I was talking (big pet peeve of mine). He then says he is coming from the airport so I ask if he is delivering something. He says no. Apparently he is bringing someone here - which throws up red flags b/c normally we don't have people come here.
Anywho, I realize it is one of our vendors - so I give him directions - in which he tells me to stop - I guess to find something to write on. I then tell him directions - he then repeats what I said. Then asks me if the street I told him to go West on is another street. I said no, that street is the next street. Then he proceeds to say isn't this street the next street. In which I reply, yes sir that is what I said.
Then I tell him to turn left on our street - which has a weird pronunciation - so I spell it - it starts with an "H" - and then he spells it "K" - which I reply no "h" as in Horse!
Lindsay - Kelly isn't a cowboy, either, although we are going to buy him a horse this spring and he does wear Wranglers and boots most of the time, although he also has his "pretty boy" clothes that he looks awfully nice in, too. :)
I know about my grandma. For a *very long time I held a grudge about it. It actually also made me always mad at my sister. When she was passing she was so sick - and in so much pain. And we really healed our relationship. I have no hard feelings anymore. And I felt bad about accepting the car, but she really wanted me to have it to make amends. And it was almost like the first time in my entire life I felt acknowledged by her. Lord, now I'm crying.
FTR, I have, in 3 years, put a new engine and transmission in the thing, so it's the gift that keeps on giving :p
My husband looks especially cute in pink and lavender. He *might be what you call metro. When he was an architect it was okay to wear such things. Now that he's in construction, it's always blue or black. Sad.
Hey Kristin - Sounds like your customers missed their coffee this morning before calling you! And I have a feeling Robin and I would have a blast road tripping it down to the Livestock show :-D
Let me tell you the MIL is a piece of work. When AH and I met, FIL was in hospital for alcohol poisoning. I didn't know at the time that's why he was there. Didn't find out until AFTER we were married. Any way, they found FIL on the garage floor with a blood alcohol of .5 or whatever it was. He should have been dead. MIL files for "separation" because she wants to protect her half of the "millions" yes millions.
FIL dies going through detox at home.
All MIL did before he died was bitch about how the man was an embarassment. FIL dies and now she is the grieving widow to this day. She will admit that she stayed for the money and that she has never cried over his death. Yet she has joined every "widows" club trolling for men. Just EWWW.
Katyie - I was thinking of you yesterday when I called the farrier to come and trim Jerry's feet. I am getting itchy to ride, although I'm askeered of how his fat ass is going to behave after a long winter of him doing nothing but eating.
K - I think an extended lunch and the day off tomorrow is in store for you :) I would have told the guy to get a GPS! Okay, I wouldn't really have said that.
Robin - Itching to ride is right. Had an Eagle circling overhead this morning, the sun is out and now that the temp is out of the 30's I am off to go brush my mares. They are mudball mammoths right now :-D
Mine just all have feet from hell - they need wormed and trimmed. I hope we can find a decent horse for Kelly, soon. And I need a trailer. Money, money, money.
Kaytie, ify ou're still here, I'm still rattling on about horses. :-D There's a paint gelding we might possibly, maybe, sort of be interested in for Kelly. He's 5, and very, very green, though, and has a lot of growing up and filling out to do yet, so I don't know... I don't know how to link a pic here, or I would.
Principal: Well, from what I can gather that didn't happen. The sub on Tuesday had a hard time settling the class down but nothing like that was said. I talked to the spec ed and social worker and they have NO idea what you are talking about.
Me: I questioned C about it again. It happened Monday and she named a boy that got in trouble along with her as I told you before.
Principal: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
Me: All righty the fuck now. Thank you for your time. What steps do I take to pull my children from the District? I want a list of alternative schools for Caitlyn.
Principal: Now we don't have to go and do that now. It's just all a misunderstanding.
Me: So what you are saying is that 5 other students are lying about what happened in class. What are you going to do to make this right?
Principal: You know, I'm late for a meeting. Maybe we can discuss this another time.
Awww. Sandy. It is time, I think, to bring in the big guns. I would try for the superintendent. What about your local news channel? Maybe they can "shine a light" on this garbage.
Sandy - that was my thought too, get the news station involved. I can't believe the principal wouldn't discuss it more - is the principal male or female.
I don't know how much that is going to help. She will refer me back to the school (as she always does).
I'll get yet another call from the principal stating she's sorry there is a misunderstanding. blah blah blah. Time to regroup.
I'll be having an annual IEP meeting this April and I am going to learn as much as I can before I get in there. I will not be signing anything until it can be reviewed by Caitlyn's therapist and if needed an attorney.
Kristin, it's a she. The teaching staff got her fired and her last day is tomorrow. What does she care. She used to be in my corner.
I don't think C will be going back there next year if I can help it anyway. We are piss poor broke and can barely make the mortgage pmt. Come hell or high water I will make it work to get her out of there.
Isn't it a federal right that your kids get an acceptable education? We had a parent sue a local district because they said the state wasn't holding up their end of the bargain. I will see if I can find a link to the news story. I don't know if you would want to sue, but certainly there must be a way to "politely suggest" they are not following the law. Let me go look for a link.
Can you write to a congressman? If the superintendent isn't helping - who hires the supers? I'd write letters and send them to everyone - documenting all the issues you have had, etc.
I am all for mainstreaming kids, really I am but...it is very well documented that Caitlyn would do much better in a small setting.
I just at a complete loss right now.
C's therapist had ask one time if she ever had "head trauma" because she is so all over the board. C was a vacuum assisted birth. My OB just did it without consult. The therapist and I are now questioning if it is autism or actually brain damage from the delivery. C would need an MRI with contrast in order to find out.
This is just so hard and so very hard when my husband could be fighting along with me but chooses not to.
I really feel for you and C sandy. Don't give up and use this time that they are away to regroup. I think that if the therapist suggest the MRI go for it. If ins. won't cover it perhaps your MIL would?
WOW I really feel bad for your kids. It is horrible that they have grandparents who cant even love them and treat them like the treasures that they are....it is heartbreaking.
Kristin thanks for the appointment wishes. I got back about 15 minutes ago. It went pretty good actually. No hysto for me but she is taking my migraines seriously and called in a prescription for flonase and something for the migraines as well so hopefully they will get under control. I am supposed to let her know how things go and if I have bad ones go right in to see her. So I am happy for the fact that she is doing what she can and is in my corner with this stuff.
Aww, catching up here and LFoB Kay, I just hate this for you so damn much. :-( How long has it been now since you first got sick? As for the Walmart thing, report them. They violated Walmart policy in that search and it was possible even illegal. They'll have video of it all, even in the parking lot, so if they claim they don't they'll be lying. I still love Walmart but these overzealous types piss me off.
I'm back from Miss Arse's appointment...it went so-so. They aren't making her any promises on the infected eye. We go back in a week to have it rechecked. She just thrilled they confirmed they can at least do her good eye.
Sandy, I am *totally disgusted with that school. Please consider calling them back and firmly telling them that you are done with your child being treated in this manner and you would like them to provide you with the proper procedure to get her under a 504 Plan so that she can be taught in an environment appropriate for her needs. If you get blown off, call the school board and do it again. If they blow you off, contact the media *and a good attorney.
BD - What a lovely story. People's ignorance is astounding. I'm going to use that Albert Einstein quote about the infinity of people's stupidity on my FB status one of these days.
In aside, I have Fox Sports up refreshing like a crack whore every 5 seconds for current scores in NCAA basketball. Montana plays later today, but they are not favored to win. Gonzaga plays tomorrow, and are favored to win. We shall see...
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

So - HI!!
Hi Karen! I'm still hanging around for a bit. Tomorrow we plan to go to a maple syrup festival style thing, should be fun and the weather's been beautiful so even though maple syrup festivals should really take place in cool weather, this is okay us too.
Sorry to read you didn't get that job, bummer.
Maybe her ex was MckDaddy??
Isn't "ccinmotion" See See? Actually, based on the content of the picture, I'd bet I'm right. *eyeroll*
I was wondering that too AP but I don't know.... but uggghhhhh right?
I'm pretty sure I remember this, Karen. What makes a grown woman, a *mother, post pictures like this of herself and boyfriends online for all to see? I don't get it. Has she no dignity?
OMG.
Yea she is disgusting, but I think someone else posted the boyfriend with the itty bitty peni - I think they were sending it to seesee - so it must be a friend of hers, which makes sense too....
Ohhhh, well, my apologies to See See, then. Only not so much since I've seen her pubic hair. Ugh.
Going off to rinse my eyes with bleach.
Goodnight, Karen and AP!
Night FT - and save me some of that bleach... between the memory of seesee's pubes and that itty bitty winky I need a gallon of bleach!
AP did you ever get details from Jake as to why he got banned from the gay bar? Inquiring minds want to know!
Karen: will do! God I had forgotten about that other picture, thanks for that.
And hopefully something else comes up. And yay for a reprieve on some more benefits. Glad to hear that.
Yea I feel much less stressed and will be looking for someone worthwhile and something I will enjoy - and that pays the bills!!
** something - not someone - although someONE to pay the bills would be lovely - anyone?? haha!!
And funny.
If you find anyone to pay your bills, ask if she has a sister.
AP - SW has a good job. She'd probably cover you. Esp your property taxes.
AP - A willing and ready eye drop recipient is a god send :-D
So Jake got kicked out of a bar?
Karen - that is awful!
Hi Kaytie - nice to see you again!
I wanna hear your getting kicked out of a bar story...
I'd tell mine, but I don't have one....
Hmmm maybe I should put that on my bucket list... get kicked out of a bar... Hmmmm
"I went ballistic, stood up, yelled, "You fucking jerk!"
Good! But I'm disappointed the guys got to stay. Asshole bartender, no sense of chivalry.
Total change of subject but does anyone else ever get in a blogging funk? Where you just can't think of anything anyone might find remotely interesting? I was looking at mine tonight, trying to think. I finally just closed it up.
Yes, but I was not into staying a minute longer to explain what had just happened to a room full of guys.
AP - You got kicked out of a CAR DEALERSHIP? Kickin' back with a mug of merlot. Now this, I wanna hear.
I'm glad that you cameto check in with us... vent and rant all you want!!
stealing Kaytie's mug o wine and settling in to hear the Walmart story!!
feeling guilty for stealing the wine - I'll get another mug and just share!!
AP - Now see, this pisses me off to no end. You were being a smart shopper and protecting your interests!
Karen - takes me so long to post, I have probably missed you. You can share my merlot any day :-D
Oh shit is right LFoB. Meningitis hurts like hell and is scary shit. Fungal? You have my admiration woman for even being able to type. And I am saying nothing that you don't already know. Share my wine? Proud to!
Fungal, coccidiomycosis meningitis. It's also in my lungs.
No bueno.
So lesson for the night? Raise fun kids. Don't be the creepy new neighbors. I'd give up a little dignity for a good life experience any day
Morning ladies! LFoB - sorry you are having a rough go of it :(
I haven't caught up on this post, I'll have to do it later - need to go get ready.
Have a great day all!
Shannon - congrats on the math final! :)
Hi Kristin!
LFoB - glad you came to hang out last night. I wish I'd been here. We've been thinking about you. My doxie sends hugs too.
Morning Kristin and CK.
Hellew ladies
Hi CK, Sandy, Margaret!
Hi Sandy and Margaret.
Sandy, when does C and your husband go to Florida? Do you have any plans for yourself while they're gone? Is your son going too?
Speaking of fun kids - I was walking LM to his classroom today and he made me giggle - he asked "where da ho?" - and of course I had to laugh. He was actually asking "where is the hole?" but in his 3 year old speak, it didn't quite come out that way.
Hs, Kristin - Ho talk from LM already?
I hate dealing with idiots - I've been trying to get my husband's physician to bill insurance for a visit 1/09 - every month we get a bill for the full amount, every month I call and tell them they need to bill the insurance. Now we got a collections notice - WTF!
Yup - ho talk already.
Yeah Sandy - what are your plans for when C is away?
Have you heard any more from the school?
Hi ladies :)
LFoB- I'm sorry about everything you're going through. And the stupid security guard :( (((hugs)))
Karen- Why, oh why, did you have to post the link to that tweetpic? I'm considering removing my eyes now.
Sandy- I hate, hate your daughter's school. Poor C :(
Kristin - don't even think about courting IM to write your blog - I thought of it first.
LFOB - I'm new at club AP but sorry you're having a rough time. What happened at Walmart is nonsense!
No worries Margaret - I'll just keep throwing in pics of my guy - was going to say little man but you referenced IM and that would be inappropriate. :)
Kristin, that's cute!
The rest of the time, B and me will be hanging out doing what a 4 year old wants to do.
that sounds like fun Sandy!
I hope you enjoy! How long are they gone?
I am sorry about your MIL - what an ass.
Kristin, they will be back next Weds.
...and I'm still waiting for the official investigation at the school to be complete.
Fie on your MIL, Sandy.
Sounds like you'll have a nice time with being a 4 year old with B.
Ugh Sandy. That school is putting *my blood pressure up and it isn't even my child...
Sandy- Your MIL? Is a first-class jerk. Ugh.
I killed it? Again?
::pout::
Good morning!
And we *all know how I feel about Sandy's MIL :)
Hope everyone has a great day/evening (Corinne)!
Hi Lindsay! You're saving me from myself :P
I'm here too Corinne - had some boys at my desk.
Hi Corinne.
I've gotta get going this a.m. - making breakfast for The Husband and The Daughter. Then taking care of The Paperwork with The Daughter, and off to The Doctor for The Trigger Point Injections.
Hi CK & Kristin!
CK- I hope the trigger point injections will help your daughter :)
Sounds like a busy morning CK! Hope all goes well!
Thanks ladies. Sometimes it takes a couple rounds before they're really effective. We're hopeful. The TENS unit has helped a lot.
Bye!
I'm here. Had to drop C off at the prison. lol
I told you guys, my life is a really bad country song. MIL is a winner.
Oh and CK, if I don't see you until Sunday evening (CET) or Monday, have a nice weekend! :)
Sending good vibes to you and The Daughter, CK.
SW - do you really want to know the answer to your question?
I think we should all just forget about it or there will be a run on bleach - or a lot of blind daisy's :)
SW- I agree with Kristin! We should forget about seesee and her picture (ewww, ewww, ewww). She belongs in an asylum :D
Um...what Corinne said. lol
Fun times!
Kristin - Sometimes I wonder where some doctors got their degree...
I hope you sisters and BILs get to feeling better soon!
I'm pretty sure that for whatever reason I was blessed to have missed that pic. You know the Lord never gives you more than you can handle, and I was apparently too weak emotionally to see her business and recover :p
I no longer remember the reason either - I am trying to forget that image!
"I'm still in therapy because of it. My shrink doesn't think the trauma will ever heal. :P"
LOL Corinne! I sincerely hope your shrink is wrong!
Jeez Kristin - I'm sorry for your sisters. That's scary - especially to be around that kind of fever and pregnant. I hope they all get to feeling better - and I hope you dodge that bullet.
You know, Lindsay, I think God wanted to test my strength ;)
I must have been fighting with the school that day or the MIL or the husband...LOL
<----- Happy to be emotionally fragile :p
M - you here? How was the concert? How is C?
Sandy - LOL. Probably, and probably from the sounds of things *all of that was a better option!
Lindsay, I'm sure it was!
hummus with a side of pubic hair - ish!
EWWWW!! Margaret!
Margaret- Why, why, WHY???
concert was great but long - 2 hours. I have a hard time sitting for long periods of time with my crap back.
C is still with us - very peaceful the last two days :)
::passing out bleach::
I think I am going to take the day off tomorrow and take LM to the Livestock Show.
That sounds fun Kristin.
B just told me I was cute. What a guy!
I have HAD IT, and I stick my face right up to hers, but on my side of the shelf, look her directly in her beady little eyes, and say very loudly, "I'M NOT STEALING ANYTHING, SO YOU CAN MOVE ALONG AND SPEND YOUR TIME TRYING TO CATCH SOMEONE ELSE NOW!!!" She jumped a foot off the ground and I swear there was a trail of dust behind her as she sped off down the aisle. lol.
Stupid girl.
I wasn't a fan of Wal-mart before, these stories further my decision not to shop there even if it is cheaper.
<<--thinks Wal-Mart is the devil, for reals
Robin, I love the mental image of you sticking your face in the shelf and bitching that woman out! Parts of your life would make a very funny dark comedy, don't you think? And I mean that as a compliment. My life isn't even interesting enough for [insert name of most boring television channel].
Rude people suck! Just so you know! ...not in reference to anyone here.
Okay, back to your regularly scheduled program.
kristin - live stock show?
Sandy - Congrats on winning the pizza and gear. That will be a fun party!
Robin - BRAVO!
OMFG - uuuuuuugggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Shoot me now! What is up with stupid people?
Oh, crap. Kristin already answered!
Sounds neat - I've never been to a rodeo before.
Sandy, it's too bad that your MIL is so hateful but I bet it's fun to be just you and your little guy. I swear you remind me so much of my friend who was married to the DH. His MIL used to always have the one son go down but not the other...
Kristin - I am so jealous. Would love to go to the Livestock Show! Have a great time! Sorry to hear about your sisters and BIL being sick :-(
I really love going to the rodeo part too and seeing the entertainment but not this year - again. :(
I guess next year, I will buy my own tickets and find someone who will go with me.
Kristin - what happened?
RiM - want to fly down or Kaytie? It really is a good time.
Therapy time with Lindsay . . .
I type that in to our system and can't find it and she gets all huffy with me and says you can't find 29184? and I say, oh - I said
28194 - my apologies - and then proceed to speak with her in regards to the invoice.
L - wrong, wrong and wrong...
We were in Vegas during PBR time like 9 years ago. We were so broke - don't know how we even paid for the trip - so I was bummed we couldn't get tickets to the rodeo. I loved walking around with all the cowboys, though. I love cowboys.
K - sounds like you are already working with developmentally challenged people...
M - I know, right? I think she was trying, though, at the end, but it still ended up messed up.
Margaret, it is fun just the two of us. We have sleep overs (he gets to sleep in my bed), I don't really have to cook that much. I take him places and he enjoys having a lot of mom and me time.
My mom might take him on Monday for me. Yay me.
I don't understand how anyone could treat kids like that!
My sister is going to see Zac Brown Band on Sunday night and I guess she won tickets to an Eat and Greet where Zac Brown is actually doing the cooking. I'm kind of jealous.
My mil scheduled her "face-lift" surgery on Brian's first birthday.
BTW, the face-lift hasn't helped her much either.
My in-laws at least try to be fair. They don't *really like any of the grandkids :p I should say my MIL anyway. My FIL does try. He really does, but my MIL rules with an iron fist.
Sandy - It's the ugliness from the inside that still shines through. There's nothing you can do about an ugly inside :)
Lindsay - I love cowboys, too. I have had the biggest dumb crush on Adriano Moraes for years, and I was all sad when he retired. I guess him being Catholic, married and living in Brazil is probably going to prohibit us from getting together, though. Dang it.
And I would love to see the Zac Brown band!
You know the show Everyone Loves Raymond. My mil is Marie Barrone but ten times worse. Frank Barrone is exactly like my late FIL. Except FIL was an abusive drunk.
Lindsay - That was really messed up what your grandma did.
Yeah, that might put a damper on your romance :)
And my hubby - the furthest thing from a cowboy. Go figure.
Lindsay, that is not nice what grandma did to you.
I am the first person to actually stand up to MIL. Don's ex SIL couldn't believe I had the balls to say the things I have said to her.
"the face-lift hasn't helped her much either"
Sandy - I love this line.
No wonder your AH is such a joy. Ok, going to lunch with my Dad - BBL
Then I tell him to turn left on our street - which has a weird pronunciation - so I spell it - it starts with an "H" - and then he spells it "K" - which I reply no "h" as in Horse!
then he says he will call when he gets closer.
Great! Maybe I will take an extended lunch.
Sorry, I guess I'm easily irritated today :)
Sandy - that is f'd up - on his first birthday - wow!
Robin - that is messed up. Some people just have such small hearts.
Oh, gosh, Lindsay, I'm sorry. I'm glad you mended that relationship.
Kristin - stories like that remind me how glad I am I don't have to deal with people any more.
I don't understand why people are so hateful to kids either. Ridiculous. I'm sorry that the kids have to deal with that.
Just EWWW.
Robin - Your MIL sounds like a winner, too. Jeez. What's up with people. I hope I never end up like that.
Okay, I wouldn't really have said that.
so the girl just showed up and said the taxi was a bad idea.
1 - he had no clue where he was going
2 - he didn't speak english well
3 - it was the worst smelling taxi she has ever ridden in
I guess he figured out how to get here b/c he didn't call again.
Sandy - she sounds like someone we will see on Dateline one Friday night!
Lindsay - funny you say that b/c that is what the girl said - I thought they all had GPS.
Alrighty - off to take kiddos to school. I'll check in later between copious amounts of laundry!
Shannon - hope the appointment goes well for you today!
I want a horse :(
School update: IT NEVER HAPPENED and there is nothing they are going to do!
WTF Sandy - that is wrong - so very wrong.
Are there any parents that you can talk to to write letters or speak up on your behalf.
I don't know, I would write letters and document.
That sucks, really sucks.
I am so very sorry.
OMG, Sandy. :( Bastards.
Yet, again I am made out to be the crazy f'd up mom from hell.
This is the kind of shit that I have dealt with since 1st grade.
Oh, Sandy! That sucks! What a bunch of morons!
Me: Click!
Awww. Sandy. It is time, I think, to bring in the big guns. I would try for the superintendent. What about your local news channel? Maybe they can "shine a light" on this garbage.
Oh, geez, Sandy, I am so sorry. I agree with Lindsay, time to go over that dick's head. Superintendent of the district?
Sandy - that was my thought too, get the news station involved. I can't believe the principal wouldn't discuss it more - is the principal male or female.
I am so angry for you.
This one's even better. Sandy, look at this:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=10305675
Can you write to a congressman? If the superintendent isn't helping - who hires the supers? I'd write letters and send them to everyone - documenting all the issues you have had, etc.
Uggghh!
BBL, got to get B ready for school.
Sandy - what does he do? Just ignore it entirely?
Do you think your insurance would cover the MRI? Would finding out lead to a better treatment plan for her?
I just don't know what to say about your husband. I just don't get why he wouldn't be consumed with finding the best for C.
I can't find the freaking link I'm looking for - I have a child laying on my back screaming about wanting to play nickjr.com. I'll keep looking.
I really feel for you and C sandy. Don't give up and use this time that they are away to regroup. I think that if the therapist suggest the MRI go for it. If ins. won't cover it perhaps your MIL would?
My FIL is being readmitted to the hospital :(
Oh Margaret - sorry :(
Margaret - I'm so sorry to hear that.
Morning all.
Just reading along and catching up.
For those of you talking about Walmart, have you seen this gem?
http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/03/18/walmart.racial.customers/
A. has a fever; we are home for the day. Boo. :)

Yes, you said this...
