There are random times I really wanna be Greek. (No. I did not say Geek - I am already that). I have been following these three Greek sisters for a bit and tempted to buy their cook book. I love Greek food!
Sweet dreams SW - Sigh...only 7 pm here. DH out of town, son bonding with *gulp* Shortround 2. I think I will go pull weeds, so my daisies can come out :-D
Back from bowling. Sadly, it was not cosmic bowling. I neglected to check which nights this was available and it is not Thursdays.
I kept up while I was out and saw LFoB pop in. I think a letter to Wal-Mart is in order asking for a face to face with the GM. Sorry I am not usually as confrontational as I am today but this is a bit much. Wal-Mart (we all know for a fact) does not like bad press. They made YOU wait an hour for something that should've been ready 3 days ago and then harass you too? Don't let them do this, LFoB, if you need help with the letter there are many many ladies on here who write very well. I don't think I'm a top 10 choice but I'll help if you need me. I'm sorry you're having such a rough time lately. You seem like a very nice person, but you also sound like you've just had enough. Please don't give up. And come on Daisy often.
Kristin, we saw an owl today too at the sugarbush. It's on a Conservation property and there was a little show about helping the environment kind of thing, and global warming, and they showed the kids 2 animals, I *think it was a barn owl (pretty white face, ring around the face, sorry I can't recall more but son says it was a barn owl) and a black & white tegu, a lizard-like thing with a forked tongue.
Not too far from where I live we have Reptilia a permanent exhibit of reptiles including enormous snakes they feed mice too (thawed dead mice but they shake them at the snakes), we've been there a couple of times, and the kids love it. My hair stands up until I get back into my van, and I *never volunteer to hold anything. LM would love it, I'm sure.
How is everyone? Sandy, I have read most everything here today about the shitty school situation with your daughter. Do you want me to burn down the principal's house? I will.
Hey, Kay, be sure to look on craigslist for lost dog ads and maybe even go back a few months. You might post for him being found, too. But more practically speaking, it's exciting that you now have a new dog. ;-)
SW, I'm nosy. What part of the whole Billy-is-a-witch thing is bothering you?
The principal's last day is tomorrow. What does she care? The teacher couldn't even look me in the eye. I've got my list going for C's annual review next month. It ain't going to be pretty.
Sandy, it must be so difficult. Caitlyn has to conform to societal norms, which is hard for her to do, but I am sure she is brilliant in her own way...which is not measured by tying one's shoes.
Hey, guys, I'm going to go start us a new post before I go to bed. I think I'm going to auto-set a new one to go up at 2pm every day, too, whether I am here or not. That way it'll be more manageable for us than over 400 posts in a day. If anyone doesn't like this idea, please say so since it can be undone. Be back in a bit.
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Is anyone else here into Greek food?

Are y'all watching the Owl Cam, too?
I've been checking it all day :/
Damn owl cam!!! Did you see her suck down that mouse? That was cool!
No, I didn't!
::ashamed the highlight of my day would be an owl eating a mouse::

I loved that poem you posted on your blog today, Sandy.
Even though I can't comment a lot while at work, I still can read :)
Bella, she ate it whole! We have a hawk that hangs out in my backyard. He eats his "lunch" on my fence. Awesome!!
Thanks Bella. That is so Caitlyn.
With all the social and emotional problems C's IQ is near the genius level. With that said, she's almost ten and can't tie her own shoes.
