Mulie, still no name! They had it down to 2 names and I thought it would be simple enough and now they've gone and added new names. He does have his Koren name it means white tiger or something, I forget. It's the year of the tiger, apparently.
Catching up...Shannon, how awful! I'm glad he got back what he did but all that equipment? That's just horrible. Was it stolen from your home or did he have it in a work yard somewhere? Is he still going to be able to work?
Jill, that's so funny about us being porn, considering Shortround up there makes us all happier to see than most anything else!
Going to bed ladies - LM never had a nap (other than right before the doctor) which means momma didn't have a nap - so I am going on like 1 or 2 hours of sleep.
Fever is down to about 100 and I hope he stays in his room.
FT - that little one is adorable, I can't wait until sis has hers.
AP - I shall-the slaw is very refreshing and great for picnics since it is not mayo based. And scootch yourself on over...we're having a late dinner since hubby has a meeting. Taking the reprieve time to post some McKTwit goofs :-D
Mulie, I'm with you on the no name thing. Ar this point, I'd throw the most serious choices in a hat and draw. Whatever comes up, they'll adjust to it. Jacob certainly was my first choice or even really in the running on my list of favorites but I didn't hate it so it was on the list. Within a day or so, I adjusted to it and it was fine. Lol, it's taken him 18 years to accept his middle name, though. Finally, he's said he doesn't want to change it anymore. Weirdly, it was the only name his dad and I agreed on.
SW: you're watching House too? Cool! This episode totally speaks to me, LOL!
I know, I hate that he doesn't have a name. Mom doesn't want me to call him Shortround anymore, she wants me to call him the baby but I. will. not. I mean people have been visiting and bringing gifts, are all the baby cards to "the baby"?? Why anyone needs 30 days is beyond me. You should have to name a baby before leaving hospital or if at home like within 3 days or something.
I went to the McKMania site today to find out what all the fuss (not the right word, but too lazy for thesaurus right now). On the face page of the blog was a statement about disturbing pictures of her time in a Kenya slum. And yes, they were honestly beautiful pictures of a horrible slum. Very sad. I then decided to delve deeper and went to some comments. LMAO! A blogger there was saying those pictures were taken by someone else. Now I believe I had read that McKTwit had stated that they were pictures she took. When I went back later she had changed the pictures and blog and put in captions to the pics that someone else took them. (Big eye roll).
I look at that pic and it enhances my baby fever. I'd love to have a little boy.
RiM: Congrats on the house!
Made red beans and rice for dinner; I used salt pork and it made it just a touch too salty. The rice took away from it a bit, but it was so salty that I didn't add sausage. This is unfortunate and I will leave the salt pork out next time, as sausage is so much more satisfying.
AP...the truck was right in front of our house. They obviously pushed it down from our house and then started it and drove it away. If they would have started it in front they would have had everyone in the house awake and out there. Jeremy is borderline stupid and actually had a couple of keys for the truck in the glove box that were almost broken...nothing like making it easy for them.
I am hoping that they find a lot of the stuff dumped somewhere and we can get it back. They took all the cleaning supplies and such as well.
Red beans and Rice! I have tried to make that a couple of times since living in Puerto Rico many years ago and have never been able to get it right. What is usual recipe for them, I would love it!
KaytieJ- I'm not caught up so I'm not sure if there is something specific you are looking for, but I have a really simple and tasty recipe for red beans and rice. It's a Cajun recipe but has been toned down since our family does not care much for heavy spices. I'd be happy to get the recipe to you if you are interested.
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 232 of 232 Newer› Newest»Oh, Shannon - I just read. That totally sucks. Hopefully you guys can track down all the missing goods.
Still no name, FT? Do you know what they have it narrowed down to?
More good lines from House tonight:
Blogger lady (to her husband): I hate that you don't have a blog. I hate that I don't know what you're thinking.

I can't imagine not having a name for your baby!

It realllllly makes you wonder what and who the writers are reading, doesn't it?

Oh, and AP - did you ever ask BD about the side bar thing?
Alright, seriously going to lay down!
FT, I'm thoroughly enjoying this house episode, and especially liked the quotes that you did.

Waiting on that slaw recipe! I've never tried to make it before.

Lindsay: I hear you and the others on baby fever! It passes but so-o-o tempting isn't it? I love babies.
Kay: ooh I missed that!
I have baby boy fever seeing that face. :) My friends all have girls, and I am in the market for another girl come May. Someone needs to have a boy.
I look at that pic and it enhances my baby fever. I'd love to have a little boy.

FYI: I love the names Jacob and Jake, AP.
Hi again guys...getting all caught up again.

That so sucks, Shannon.
Kristin, what sidebar thing?
Hey all! How's it going?
Hey Tee
Shannon! I've missed chatting with you. How are you doing?
Red beans and Rice! I have tried to make that a couple of times since living in Puerto Rico many years ago and have never been able to get it right. What is usual recipe for them, I would love it!
Kristin, no, I forgot. BD, do you know how to make a link in the sidebar like our recipe link, only without the header that says "other daisy links"?
Hey, Tee! :-)
Okay, going to start a new post since I won't be around until later tomorrow.
FT- Shortround is so precious! I want to pinch those cheeks of his! I'm so jealous that you get to snuggle him!
KaytieJ- I'm not caught up so I'm not sure if there is something specific you are looking for, but I have a really simple and tasty recipe for red beans and rice. Hey AP! How has your day been going?
*** new post ***
Tee-Now that I have a rice steamer, I have been craving red beans and rice. Would love a tried and true recipe! Thank you!
