Good morning, everyone!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Karen, have them feel to see if the babies are still moving in Mama Cat. If they are not, she needs to be gotten to a vet immediately. I hope they're all okay.

Morning all!

Note to Daisies- sunscreen at the beach. I put it on DD, twice, but didn't remember to put it on myself. I am not horribly burnt, just a little overdone.

Karen- hope Mama Cat is okay!

Morning AP. I am postponing my Saturday morning couch potato commitment to go to an aerobics class. The dog is disappointed.

Back later. Take care.

Just found this on msn. Kind of some interesting foods. I kind of got a kick out of #4. I'm not a drinker, but if I were, i think I'd stock that.

Taiya did the walk on the beach help you sleep better last night?

T@iy@ said...

Jill- did it ever! I slept until 5am before I woke up the first time. Then I fell right back to sleep and wasn't up until 8:30. :) I am not even really sore or anything today. i was last night after I sat still for a while, but I am feeling great now.

'womanity'. This is a word I am guessing will not stick as a word. It is on an advertisement that wants you to describe what "womanity" means to you by Thierry somebody or other... Kind of a mouthful. Anyone want to hazard a guess of what they are going for with this word? Because I have no idea.

twirldawg said...

Glad you slept well.

womanity? A take off on humanity maybe.

Morning all! I'm trying to talk myself into going to the grocery store, as I do almost every Saturday morning. I'm just not feeling it today, and am wondering if I can survive the day without Diet Pepsi. Hmmmm.

Lurker calme1 knows copyright law? ::perk::

Morning all - waiting for Tay to get here and checking in! I love Mother Goose!!

Mama Kitty had 4 kittens recently - Megan just got up and looked and there were 3, and as we were talking she said omg she just pushed out another one... Patti is so disappointed she missed it! She just hoppped into the jeep and ran over there to see the babies, and see if there are any more. So far Megan thinks they are all alive, and she was so hoping for an all black one, and thinks that there are two of them! Mama was cleaning them all and hopefully will be able to take care of them... Four so far and possibly another one in there, Megan couldn't tell. Will keep you all updated on the kittens (cause I know you're on the edge of your seats - ahhahhha!!) We are going to a MiniMart today - craft fair of some type - one of my cousins is exhibiting some stuff, and she asked if we wanted to come - I have not seen her for about 15 years or so - her dad and my dad were brothers, and both dad's have died, and we kinda lost touch - she is a teacher and has a 12 year old daughter, so weird cause I used to babysit for her when she was first born! I'm excited for her to meet Patti and meet Tay too - then who knows what we'll be doing.

Whats up with everyone else?

T@iy@ said...

Morning Karen and TWG!

Yay about the kittens! I'm so glad that she had them and everything seems fine.

Nothing much up with us today. Going to get my tires rotated. Big excitement for me. :)

Amy said...

Morning everyone :) Yeah for kittens! Hubby discovered we have a bunny nest in the backyard when he went outside to check for storm damage; wicked ones last night, knocked the power out around 2, we think.

Side note: fwop is a flop, imo. The majority of their posts are out of date articles and there is no real fruit juice there, except for naming names (big effing deal...if you have a kid or file for a marriage license or divorce, your name is published, right?) and posting pics of kids and comments made here or at mwop. Our comments are already online, now they are just in another forum.

People with half a brain will realize that fwop is just another internet bully with an ax to grind. I mean, seriously...look at who posted on the comments there in the last couple days. No one can take it seriously. And reaching out to @mckmama followers via twitter? Bwahahaha. Like I (or anyone for that matter) should care what those folks think.

Amy said...

Another thing I neglected to mention above...the fwop flop noted that they don't get paid on the weekend. Does this mean they are posting during their regular 9-5? I wonder how their employers would feel about *that.

T@iy@ said...

*really Amy- I was looking forward to the thunderstorms that we were supposed to get last night, but we just got a little bit of thunder and lightning and not much else. I'm glad that our power didn't go out, though.

Amy said...

Taiya,

You can have them. I am a light sleeper, as is my youngest...I took the flashlight to the bathroom for the oldest, looked in the youngest's room and she wasn't there. I found her on the couch with a blanket over her head, fingers in her ears, shaking. She *HATES* storms. We are expecting more today and tomorrow, so this will be a weekend of little uninterrupted sleep.

twirldawg said...

Yay Karen, I hope they all survive.
The mama cat must be exhausted!

T@iy@ said...

I am off to start the day. DD is up and breakfast is done. Hope everyone has a great day!

Angie said...

Hooray for the kittens, Karen! I think we really *were on the edge of our seats about them! I know I was.

T@iy@ said...

Oh, no, Amy! DD is a light sleeper, but she has a fan in her room, so as long as the power doesn't go out she doesn't wake up. Plus if she wakes up she just cuddles with us. She isn't at an age where storms bother her yet. Our power very rarely does more than blink for a minute anyway.

Amy said...

Taiya,

I just read what you posted last night in response, and I think that was very well said.

Morning Sandy!

Karen said...

Just talked to Megan - one of the kittens is dead - but 4 are alive and the momma is feeding them and napping - yay! Patti is sticking around a bit longer to be sure she doesn't have any more - and then coming home and we're going to a craft fair today - to see my cousin, and then who knows what... Gotta go feed Tay breakfast now - but I'll check in later - have a good day Daisy's!!

Erin said...

Morning. We had a 7:30 lacrosse game. Oh joy.

SW- I can.not survive without my diet pepsi!!!

Karen- yay for kittens. So exciting.

Amy- I agree with you about fwop. the other thing is why *shouldn't we be able to talk about depression, husbands, co-workers etc. on this forum? If i talk to a group of women irl, there is nothing stopping them from using that info as they see fit. Most don't, as is the case with people here. And those who *do? That is thier right, but it doesn't make it *right.
And when did having an opinion becaome hateful? If I say "I think RiM is a bitch" and you don't like it, or agree, well...tough tittie. It is my opinion. Why should I be censored for it?
If a bunch of women are talking about depression, and discussing how medicines have helped, how is that *any different than going to a cancer support site?
Those people are just lulu.

Erin said...

Whoops lulu= looney. That is 'kid slang' in my house.

Angie said...

I got the jist of "lulu" Erin, and I don't speak kid slang. :-)

Angie said...

And Erin, I had a big glass of orange juice and am pretending it was Diet Pepsi.

Hi SW, I got caught up in a game of Mahjong! LOL

Angie said...

I'm not speaking to you, Sandy. :-|

Morning ladies

Margaret I hope that everything is ok please let us know that they are when you can.

Karen I am glad that cat finally pooped out some babies.

EL I totally LOVE what you just said about what we discuss here. Apparently in the world of FWOP we are not to discuss anything since it went from our bullying to talking about our lives and it is all wrong.

Now honestly how many of us even give a shit about the enigma that is JM? I actually was at her sight yesterday but only looking for a reference. I dont care what she does. I dont care what others think of her...I havent participated on MWOP for weeks now. I had actually left JM's BF when I was apparently banned..hadnt been there in over a week when I discovered it so I really dont care.

As for who we talk about....mostly ourselves and our families....um GM, Tina, R2 (but that is better now), Krista (on occasion), TC (but more as an adjective then as a person), Won, Kathyrn (hooked on phonics could work for her).

SO lets see there are 24 hours in a day, 7 days a week, Daisy has been alive since Feb, that is 114 posts....and in probably 10000 responses they have maybe been mentioned all together 2500 times? Yeah serious bashing and hating going on here. Some need to learn that there is a difference between hateful bashing and picking on bashing as well.

But then again I must look at the sources of these comments and such and realize that what we say means nothing...it is that we exist at all that upsets them because we wont accept them with open arms.

Okay now I look like an ass. The LOL for for SW. You know you love me! ROFL!

**Disclaimer My love for SW is strictly as a friend as she is already spoken for**

PJ said...

Hi there all you vile friends.

Morning all. My laptop is still acting up. I broke down and called someone, so hopefully he'll call back soon and I won't have to sell an organ to pay for it.

Shannon said...

Tara I hope you can get it fixed even if it is just enough to get the important stuff off of it.

Shannon said...

hey there CK'em

Lisa said...

"If I say "I think RiM is a bitch" and you don't like it, or agree, well...tough tittie. It is my opinion."

Actually, I think that's a fact. *nods*

Kitties!! Yay - send pictures, Karen, and I'll post some.

Amy, I'm with you about the whole FWOP thing. I'm just not getting what the big deal is.

And my mommy just told me to get estimates on a new central a/c unit, she's buying me one! It's 90-ish here and a bit over that (yes, over) in my house. I think she's afraid I might die and then she'd feel all guilty and stuff.

Anonymous said...

Morning CK! How was the workout and has The Dog forgiven you?

Erin said...

It would help if I checked my spelling first. ;)
SW OJ does not = diet pepsi. No way, no how! I get edgy when I am even *close to running out.

T@iy@ said...

"and then she'd feel all guilty and stuff"

hahaha since she borned you and all, eh?

PJ said...

Kitties born, laptops on the fritz, fwop a flop - life as usual.

Speaking of felines, I've bee thinking about Gina - any status?

Angie said...

AP, thank goodness! I didn't realize that your central A/C was broken, but I thought it might be when you said it was 90 degrees the other night. There's no way to survive in FL without A/C.

Angie said...

Heh heh, AP.

Anonymous said...

AP- that's great news about the ac.

PJ said...

No central air in FL? I picture Miss Arse and AP screeching "I'm melting, I'm melting" as they turn into a puddle on the floor.

PJ said...

Sandy,
Work out was good - we'll see if I need help getting out of bed tomorrow.

Dog has not forgiven me. He's ignoring me.

. said...

Hi CK!

Shannon, thanks. Me too. :o(

AP-That rocks about the A/C! What a great Mom!

Lisa said...

"hahaha since she borned you and all, eh?"

Umm hmmm...you never getto old to play that card, either. ;-D

CK, Gina's okay, thanks. She's up in a window watching some ibises (ibii?) and popping her lips at them so I guess she's not too bad.

Lisa said...

getto = get too

PJ said...

Hi Tara. Sucks about your computer.

Erin said...

Yay for cental air AP! ::whispering:: We have window units. I live in a tiny old house, and my only option for ducts would be running them in my (already teeny) closets.

My 5 year old seems to be possessed by the devil today. I can't believe it is only noon. The medicine needs to start working soon, because now she is croupy *and had had no sleep.

PJ said...

We're "ghetto old" here.

Erin said...

I used RiM as my example cuz she won't read this til later!

T@iy@ said...

I get that, AP. There is a long-standing 'you borned me' joke in our family. It never gets old.

Lisa said...

I've actually been mostly without a/c for 3 years now. This is going on the 4th. Last summer I found a guy who rigged it back up and made it run when no one else could and he did that 3 times. Then it died again in the Fall. I'm going to have him try to rig it once more because, by God, I want every drop of service possible out of it, but I'm going to have him give me some estimates. It gets very hot in here and I really don't want to go through it again.

Lisa said...

"We're "ghetto old" here."

CK, don't let Jo hear you say that!

Erin said...

I think she said she was off for the weekend AP ;)

. said...

CK said:

Kitties born, laptops on the fritz, fwop a flop - life as usual.

Yeah, we're so vile!

Lisa said...

Oh, ouch, Erin!

PJ said...

And we're dangerous bullies too, Tara. People should fear us.

. said...

CK, thanks. It sucks.

Lisa said...

Shut the fuck up, CK, or I'll kick your ass.

Erin said...

Phew. I am glad I didn't ask Tara about Beaver. Now *that is vile ;)

. said...

Yes, we're so ghetto old, we're intimidating!

. said...

LOL EL. Why would you ask me? That's June's son. I haven't seen her for a couple of days. I hope she and her Beaver are OK.

Lisa said...

I was just thinking, I haven't been to MWOP since it went Disqus and the last time I was over at JM's was when she said the newbie's sonogram showed the heart problem. She just got old, didn't she?

Erin said...

I *know it is June's son. I was just wondering if you had heard from her. I hear it is a hot day, and i was worried about the Beaver being too sweaty.

Shannon said...

AP they both really got old for me...I have attempted to skim MWOP since Disqus but I just get bored with it. They just say the same stuff over and over again and IDK I like to have actual conversations about everything and anything :)

Shannon said...

And just because I cant believe it but how in the hell is it already May??? The year is already close to half over....yikes!!!

PJ said...

I haven't visited MWOP or JM's site in forever. JM is just so boring to me.
Does anyone watch Lost? The one guy that kidnapped Jin last week and took him to that restaurant and then Sayid showed up? I think his name is Martin on the show? He looks so much like non-PC, it creeps me out. But other than that, I don't really think about JM ever.

. said...

EL: I'll give her a holla later. Hopefully her Beaver is doing well today. :D

CK- I *really like the towel holder

CK, cute site...I wish this wasn't ridiculously expensive because I love it. http://www.perpetualkid.com/flamingo-away.aspx

Hi, FT! I'm cleaning my own house so I can't come clean yours. :-P It smells good in here - I found cleaner that's linen scented and I've mopped and wiped things up with it. Mmmm. Good on a hot day.

PJ said...

AP - ouch - that is pricey.

Be nice AP. The Husband's a finalist for a job with a company that makes lovely smelling cleaning supplies.

No discount for you if you are mean.

twirldawg said...

I couldn't live in Ga without central air, let alone Fla. AP you are a saint. Or Satan, whatever (kidding, kidding)

So who is this JM person you speak of?

Finally, if it weren't for women talking openly about the subject of depression a lot of women would not have the nerve to get help.

Oh, CK. That's a dream job.

Jill, neither saint or Satan. I like to think of myself as the human equivalent of Purgatory.

AP your so lucky to still have your mommy. i miss mine everyday. she always did nice things for me. Jakes going to love the new A.C.

Lisa said...

Rudy, I'm sorry and yes, I know I am...I try to not take her for granted because I know that I'm not going to have her much longer but sometimes I think we both like her being Mommy again and taking care of me a little. I was much closer to my dad and he'll be gone 14 years this July. I still miss him every day, too. How long ago did you lose your mom?
