Howdy, all.

AP, the wine slushie? I don't know whether to cry or proclaim you a genius.

Mr. BD's aunt drinks her chardonnay with ice in it, so that she doesn't have to have water between each glass. She claims it lets her drink more. I don't know about all that, but she's funny as hell.

Oh, replied to the other post. Sorry!

Hi, BD!

I'm off to make dinner. I'll try to check in later if the pokey PC will let me!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Hey, Tara...see you later!

Lisa said...

BD, I'm just glad you aren't going to end our friendship over the wine-in-a-water-bottle slushies. ;-) Tara, I'm so trying your dangria slushees, too. SW< can you post the blackberry margarita recipe, please? Because if it's as good as it sounds, it'll be what I want with my last meal in prison.

Margaret, I don't mind if you use the girl with the lamb, but it's not my design. If you are a stickler about that stuff, there's a link on the very bottom of my blog to the site I got it from. What a cute pendant, though!

Hiya.

Late to the party...going to catch up.

Sorry..here's the "official" music video.

Isn't she charming?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Robin, I can't bring myself to look.

AP: I have no recourse to talk to anyone about what they are drinking, as I am finishing off the bottle of white zinfandel I bought to use as a marinade. After marinading the chicken, there was about a glass left, so I took one for the team. :)

Margo said...

Not a stickler but I thought I'd ask - I think a young goth girl would like it :)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Robin, I sent you an e-mail (or at least I THINK I sent it to you) earlier today re: diaper wreaths. If you didn't get it, I might need another e-mail address for you. :)

Shannon said...

R2 I feel shame for that video LOL

Is that serious or a joke? I have to ask because of the fact that I kept waiting for her horrid wig to fall off.

Lisa said...

Margaret, I think so, too.

BD, you're a saint...we thank you.

R2, that's funny as hell. She does a great imitation and the tealights in their little metal cups on her tub crack me up.

Shannon said...

OK from AP's comment I think it must be a joke....ugh it is horrible but maybe I dont "get it" cause I have no idea who the Housewives of Atlanta are LOL

Margo said...

Ok folks - signing off - must cut up oranges for soccer tomorrow.

Angie said...

Okay, I got supper in the oven. I was going to have barbecue chicken breasts, but I couldn't find my only jar of barbecue sauce. I used it as a rolling pin when I made BD's fabulous strawberry-rhubarb cobbler a while back and don't know where I put it after that. Wouldn't have lost it if I knew where my rolling pin is. My kitchen is so unorganized you really wouldn't believe it. My Mom used to visit and would try and cook for me in my kitchen. Something would fall out of every cabinet she opened and she would get so mad!

Soooo, without barbecue sauce, I googled for chicken and rice recipes and put an easy one together. Yup, I'm boring tonight!

kristin said...

bye margaret.

my little person is oh so whiney...fun times!

Robin said...

The video is real. Well, as real as Kim was as a "REAL housewife."

LOL.

BD--got your email, and just answered it. Sorry I didn't answer sooner. I just got home a while ago, and just checked my mail.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

That's okay, Robin. I wasn't 100% sure it was you, so I wanted to mention it just in case.

kristin said...

How are you feeling Robin?

BD - what is a good sangria?

Ok now seriously I have to share this video....too damn funny and if you have already seen it too bad it is awesome!!!

AP, I posted the recipe. It's called Triple Berry Margaritas.

Angie said...

So does anybody know the timeline of when OHIH first started, because I think some of us are coming up on one year anniversaries of knowing one another. I didn't join the fun until June/July, but some of you were there earlier, right?

Shannon said...

God I almost want to say it was April or May when it started up

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I jumped into OHIH in August.

Angie said...

Then Happy Anniversary, Shannon!

Erin said...

Geeze- A girl can't do some yardwork without spending an hour playing catch up! I am glad Bella is gone. She would be *very suspicious of my digging in the dirt all day. ;)
Sorry for the whiney kid msntgal. Mine now has a dose of prednisone in her, and hoping she will be better soon. Her fever seems to be down though. Yay for that.
Phew. BD took the frozen wine *much better than I thought!

Robin said...

It was August I think when I found you all (those who were there then). July or August.

It had been going 2 or three months before I hopped on.

Robin said...

msntgal--I'm doing well. Thanks so much for asking.

Erin said...

Robin- what kind of tomato cages do you use?

twirldawg said...

I think OHIH started in June, but there was another board or two before it.

Anonymous said...

I need a beer and a cleaning service. Damn, do I hate having parties at my house!

The house is almost all clean, and I have made a shopping list for the morning. That's about all I am going to do tonight.

I got to OHIH late, I think it was August?

Robin said...

EL--I use the kind you buy at Home Depot, or any place like that. They don't work famously, though. The tomato plants always seem to want to grow outside of them, and I have a heck of a time binding them all up.

The last two years I have grown the Sweet 100's, and they are way under-estimating when they say "100's." These things grow HUGE and have produced MANY hundreds of tomatoes for me the last two years. So much so that last fall, I just quit picking. I couldn't even find neighbors to give tomatoes away to anymore.

This year I planted two sweet 100's, and two Best Boys or something like that--a larger variety of tomatoes. I hope I don't end up fighting tomatoes again. I suppose that's not the worst problem a person could have, but I hate to waste, and I had more than I or any of my friends could handle last year.

twirldawg said...

Robin I would happily take any extra 'maters you have.

Erin said...

Robin- I can never get that kind of cage to do well either. I just bought the triangle fold ones, but they too feel flimsy. I swear, next year I am getting good ones from the catalog!

Bella- entertaining at home is usually *way too much stress.

Robin said...

I will share, Jill!

And you need to come and get some of my crazy Oregano, too.

Robin said...

And for the record, "crazy oregano" isn't a code name--I have an oregano plant this Spring that has gone insane--it's turned into a bush--and I need to split it. I offered to give Jill the part I cut off.

Just wanted to be clear on that. ;)

twirldawg said...

Robin we'll have to arrange a time.

Anonymous said...

Yes, entertaining at home is the pits.

*offering olive branch to Robin*

Robin, do you grow any herbs?

Anonymous said...

besides the oregano, I mean.

Robin said...

*Accepting and offering one back**

I grow chives, cilantro, TONS of basil...mint...trying to remember...dill...

If I can use it and it will grow here, I try to grow it.

I have sweet basil, emperor basil, lemon basil, purple curly leaf basil (two kinds), and I just planted a new variety yesterday, boxwood basil.

I have stevia, also.

kristin said...

I just have to say, a child's laugh is the best medicine!

Robin said...

Oh, and I started a new herb last week--borage.

I planted it in the middle of my tomato plants, because it's supposed to make tomato plants happy. Here's a Wiki link to borage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borage

The leaves and flowers are edible.

Anonymous said...

Robin, I planted some chocolate mint, have you ever grown it? What do you use it for? It smells *so good, like an Andies Candy.

Also, have you ever grown Thai Holy Basil? I can't find it anywhere, and I would love to have some because we cook a lot of Thai.

::tucking olive branches in back pocket::

msntgirl, second to child's laughter, I think a dumb ass dog is the the best medicine :)

bookjunkie said...

So true, msntgal. Mine's 15 but even now, I still love to hear her laugh.

LOL @ the crazy oregano, Robin. It's a damn shame that you have to make a disclaimer on that. I haven't planted many herbs in the past but did grow some lavender last year that smelled *so* good.

Anonymous said...

Interesting on the borage. It looks like it is used for medicinal purposes, as well as helping tomatoes grow...

the real question is, can you put it in a frozen yogurt tampon?

twirldawg said...

Oh, mint, I need to get that one. It would be great in sweet tea.

You ladies have really inspired me to garden. This is exciting.

Shannon said...

Oh I wish my herbs would take off and become a problem.

No my problem right now is trying to find out how what my walmart money card says I have about 150 less on it than I have calculated according to my transactions GRRRR But they are conveniently closed right now so I have to wait till tomorrow.

Angie said...

Msntgal, for me it's a kitty's purr, but I get it! :-)

Herb ladies, will basil grow will in a pot? I want to grow some, but don't have a good place in the ground for it.

Anonymous said...

Jill, the best way to start, imo, is container gardening, like pots on the deck. It's easy to do, you can control the fertilizer and stuff, bring them inside if it gets nasty, and it usually will deter critters.

Shannon said...

And I have to agree with Bella...a frisky dingo of a dog who is happiest if you put your hand under the blanket so he can "attack" it is hilarious

Robin said...

Bella--I have been growing chocolate mint for about 2-3 years now. I have such a happy patch of chocolate mint.

We use it in coffee, and we make a tea out of it. My FIL wants a bunch to make chocolate mint wine this year, and I hope to accommodate him. And a friend who makes jellies wants to make a chocolate mint jelly this year. I hope it works out. I'd love chocolate mint wine AND jelly. YUM.

If you poked both branches back in your pocket, does that mean you took back the one you offered me?

Just wondering. 8-/

Anonymous said...

Shannon, or a dog who barks like an ass at leaves in the front yard, and gets so excited he toots. Then he gets embarrassed. Funny stuff!

Anonymous said...

Nope, Robin, there are plenty of branches to go around :D

Chocolate mint wine. Sounds intriguing. Is that a red or a white?

Shannon said...

ROFL I could so see mine doing that...they do bark when the trees make shadows inside the house

Shannon said...

Hell mine bark if someone goes to the neighbors house or has the audacity to think they are allowed to walk on the street by our house

Shannon said...

Bella and R2 I am glad you guys are making peace :) very non vile of you both

PJ said...

Howdy msntgal!

Shannon - that video was great. I can't decide if those guys are part of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell club or not.

Robin said...

FIL will make a white wine from my chocolate mint. He makes an extract from the leaves, and makes the wine from it. Since the extract from mint leaves will be white, it will be a white wine.

I've had his mint wine from regular mint, and it's yummy, but a bit sweet. It would be like a dessert wine.

I also have apple mint by the tons. We have to whack it down we have so much, but I've been growing it for about 6 years now. And I have pineapple mint. It's good, but a bit odd. Good in a Pina Colada, though!

I grow Thai basil, too. It's very good. But my favorite for flavor is the Emperor basil. It has an amazing taste.

PJ said...

I've grown basil in a pot.

Shannon said...

ckem I was checking Yahoo news and there it was...I love it...it is freaking awesome!!! Dont ask dont tell? I guess we shall never know but they sure got some dance moves.

Personally I think THE GaGa should make exercise videos out of her videos...quite a work out for sure.

twirldawg said...

Bella that is what I'm doing. I have my plants in a large container. I need to get some more and expand.

Robin said...

I don't want to argue with anyone, especially online. I don't like it a bit.

And I'm happy if we can make peace. Not everyone connects with everyone else in the same degree, but animosity and harsh words are useless. At least to me.

:)

Muliebrity said...

I joined OHIH in July and it hadn't been on long before that. Maybe a month? weeks?

Shannon said...

:)

twirldawg said...

I'm getting quite an education on mint here. I had no idea there was such a variety.

Robin said...

Basil will grow well in a pot. Well, as long as you remember to water it. That's been my greatest challenge to growing in containers.

I do much better with stuff in the yard. It's more forgiving if I don't water regularly--but since I have a garden and flowers in my yard, something planted there has a much better chance of getting watered than something in a pot.

Shannon said...

Yeah I am thinking it was more like May/June when OHIH started up....when was the infamous ANEDOSINE incident? (yes I know I butchered the spelling)

Anonymous said...

"And I'm happy if we can make peace. Not everyone connects with everyone else in the same degree, but animosity and harsh words are useless. At least to me."

Ditto.

I have to say I like to argue a bit online, but not in a vicious, vile way.

I think the vileness of the Daisies has just gone down about 10%. Suck it, Fruitie!

There are so many types of basil, and it is pretty easy to grow. Somehow, I can never grow the giant bunches of basil that I find at the farmer's market, though. I wonder why?

Robin said...

EL--you found some?

I read that it's a relatively new variety (from 20009 I think?). It smells soooooooooooo good, and it looks pretty, too. Look it up if you haven't--it's supposed to make an excellent pesto.

I haven't found it around here--I got my small plant in South Carolina.

Robin said...

2009. Not 20009.

Erin said...

Jill- the other thing that is good in a container is everblooming strawberries. If you put them in the ground, they do well, and they spread.

Thanks for the recipe, SW, and I have no idea when I came into OHIH. I'm trying to think what was happening. Krista still had a home, I know. It was before JM whored herself out over April Rose, too, but it was just after the April Rose fiasco. In that short span just after the doll was born and JM whored out, I think.

I am going to post a comment here that i made at fwop, so that it stays somewhere, unedited. It is the only comment I will make there, and i am done reading there. I just want to make sure this is somewhere where I know it will not be tampered with, which is here. Please ignore it and go about your conversations. I really don't want commentary on it, and I don't want to discuss that weird site anymore. Just want the comment 'on record'.

As the mother in question, I will answer because I have nothing to hide. My daughter is my avatar because that is the photo that shows up on my blog, and the photo that I wanted on my blog at the time. It is adorable, no? I chat at the Daisy site about a lot of different things, including recipes, cowboy boots, pets, weather, tv, books, etc.. I did not participate in any talk about men's genitalia (although as a bunch of grown up women, I am not sure I see where it matters if they discuss men's genitalia. I am pretty sure they all know the general anatomy and are capable of dealing with it) and I would not participate in anything regarding hate. There is only one person I have ever taken issue with and I would be happy to address that with that person, and have. My issue with her is based solely on my experience with her and I have told her to her "face" in a discussion elsewhere why I have a problem with her and what I think about her behavior. I have bashed no one. I have spread "hate" to no one. If I have something to say I will gladly say it to the person. I have never been on OHIH, SIP, MWOP, etc. I do not participate in actual hate sites, and I wouldn't. I also do not say things about Jennifer McKinney or anyone in her family, and haven't. I have talked about my cracked heels, itchy legs, food I've cooked, etc. And yes, my daughter's face was up on all of those posts that I made about those subjects.

My issue with my daughter's face being on this website is the fact that this is a hate site directed at Daisy. I have done nothing to merit my daughter's face and my name being on here, as, like I said, I have not participated in any hate sites. Am I to scold everyone online who says something 'mean' about someone else or has a personal opinion different than mine? What right do I have? I simply talk about the things I want to... mainly food, and ignore any conversation that I know nothing about, or have nothing to do with. I do not want my daughter's photo up here because this site is going to draw and direct people to me as a hateful person, and have them disliking me based on the merit of this website. btw- dislike me all you want, I just don't trust that there aren't crazies who would be directed towards me based on this site. I would rather be paranoid than sorry later, which is how I should be as a mother.

Btw- I changed my avatar as soon as I had a new one to put up that didn't have my daughter in it, but the old one does not come off of the comments that have already been posted. There is nothing i can do about that. I can go delete every comment I have ever made at Daisy, but A) the photo will still be there and say "This post has been deleted by author" and B)it would look like I had something to hide, when I know very well that I don't. I intentionally made my blog private as soon as my full name was posted on here simply so my photos would not be able to be gotten to and because my full name has never been attached to my blog(my photos are all already watermarked and I do not use my child's real name on my blog). I will gladly give fwop a copy of every blog post that I put up, and have put up in the past, minus the photos, for them to post on here, and you can see exactly how hateful, vile, and nasty I am.

T@iy@ said...

Since I am pointing things out, I will also point out that I have not said anything about any of the people who run this site. I have not called them names or engaged in personal attacks against anyone here. Yes, I have mocked the SITE, because i feel the site is ridiculous and is doing far worse than anything anyone on Daisy could dream up(although I personally feel that a bunch of women donating items as a fundraiser for a man who had a stroke and no insurance isn't a horrible thing and I don't see how anyone else can look down on it). However, I have not said anything about the people running it, and will not. They can have their hobby, and since I don't know them personally (or at all as they choose to bully me anonymously) so I don't feel like I can comment on them. My life is still amazing, and no hate site on the internet is going to change that. I have an amazing husband, a wonderful and beautiful daughter (as apparently everyone can see) and fwop isn't going to take that away from me,or taint it at all. I don't even feel a need to moderate what I say on Daisy, especially since I know that I haven't said anything worthy of what is being directed at me here and I will continue to not say anything worthy of that.

I also had no interest in shutting down fwop. I have no problem with their site existing. My issue was that my daughter's photo was up on a site completely designated to hating other people. Daisy is a site to talk about many many things, and personal information is not handed on a platter for other people to view and use how they will. I politely e-mailed fwop and asked them to remove the photo (and offered to give them one of me, alone, to replace it with) and when they ignored that I decided to see if I could get it taken down by different means. That is what I asked for, and that is what I was looking for. Otherwise all i wanted was her face off of a hate site directing people to me as someone of low moral character and who is disreputable, which is simply not true. I am happy the company investigated, but if they find nothing wrong with it then i am going to go about my life and forget that this site even exists, and just not worry about it.

This is the first and last time I will post at fwop. I told them in my e-mail that I will not harass them or cause drama (which I do suspect is what they are looking for) and I will not. I will not call names just because they have chosen to treat me as if I have done something wrong. I am not that person, and fwop is not going to make me into that person by bullying me. I also will not feel a need, beyond this comment, to defend myself against people who are biased against me based upon me chatting with other people. In fact, I am not trying to defend myself here so much as explain my position. This will, in fact, be the last time I even read here.

If anyone wishes to address anything else with me personally they can address it to me at daisy or leave an e-mail address and I will be happy to *politely* discuss it with them. I will not leave my e-mail because the opinion of me based on this site is going to be low and I do not want my inbox flooded with e-mails detailing what a vile person I must be based on people who don't know me, at all. fwop also has my e-mail address and they are also welcome to address anything with me in a polite manner.

I am also going to copy and paste this at Daisy, in all of it's unedited glory, just in case there is a moderator here moderating comments. (I really do not know how this site is run)

SW, that's interesting about Alabama and salvia. I don't know what Florida has or is doing about it. Hell, you can buy it in the garden shop at Walmart last time I checked. I know angel trumpet tree tea is a big deal here. I think they passed a law that if you had one yo could keep it but new ones can be planted or something like that

BJ - I am on phone since teens have my laptop. Can't C&P.
I just want you to know your comments re: me passionate about my work & one that you would trust to care for one of your own is the biggest compliment anyone can give me and I was bawling reading it. Yes, I am a pSsionate mom & wife, but my Profession I have worked hard for & is my own. My work team calls me (now that I am older) Momma Kate & rely on me to be their mentor. I don't talk details of work because of HIPPA & just because it is the decent thing to do, but oh! The stories I could share!
Even though this may seem an all about me post, it is not. I may be a hardass in some ways, but I care deeply about my patients, families & Daisies!

In the spirit of freedom, I have smoked salvia. (It's legal here, Fruitstand, so don't get excited.)

I compare it to lucid dreaming for about two minutes. Way, way better than the one and only hit of acid I did when I was nineteen, but not good enough to do it again.

Homebrew is way better.

And now my comment looks like a turd in the punchbowl after KaytieJ's :D

I've already fallen asleep once while catching up, so I'll just quietly follow everyone else's conversations if noone minds...

Margaret: sorry to hear you have troubles, hope you work things out.

Lisa said...

Oh, poor Bella...lol!
I think you're wonderful, salvia and all.
Kaytie is wonderful too, which is why I've hung on to her for so many years but rest assured that I think you and your freedom-loving ways are beautiful.

Lisa said...

FT, go to bed. It'll all be here in the morning, plus some. :-)

Anonymous said...

I'm going to bed, too, as I did not win the Mega Millions tonight. Next Friday!

Goodnight, everyone!

Nilia said...

AP: would love to but shouldn't. I'll wake up at some crazy hour like 4 or 5 a.m. I have to sleep after midnight, hope to sleep in to 9:15 tomorrow morning and take the boys to swimming.

I forget which item Bella bid on but she did it with a smiley and then someone outbid her with a smiley too and they Bella counter-bid. Only that time she dropped the smiley. It seemed so funny to me at the time, I LOL! Maybe I'm just giddy-tired?

Lisa said...

Maybe, FT, but it also sounds like bidding is getting evil.

bookjunkie said...

Bella, that video was hilarious. Last I heard, you could still get salvia in Georgia, too but seems like there was some proposed legislation about it. I thought I saw that it like pot but looks like it's more hallucinogenic than that, LOL.

Awww, KaytieJ, I didn't mean to make you cry but it's true. =) I can tell by the way you talk here about your job and different subjects dealing with healthcare, etc. how passionate you are about nursing and your patients and families. I understand on the HIPAA thing. There are things I'd love to share from charts I've typed, just in general, things of interest but would never want to take a chance with patient confidentiality.

bookjunkie said...

Ha! I think it is getting evil. I haven't looked over there today but I bet it'll get more evil by the time Sunday rolls around. Pretty fun.

Chris and Elisabeth- hope y'all are doing good. Check in when you have a chance, ok? It's about time for Chris to share another funny with us. ;)

AP: Evil, definately. And don't forget vile.

Bella Sweet dreams- you are precious to us all!

Since I have a kitchen garden, I loved all the herbal comments. As I have joked before I have "parsley, Rosemary & no Thyme". LOL !
Much more in garden, but phone typing sucks.

AP - You are the best. I'd twirl but l'd get vertigo :)

I'm on the phone with someone at Dell. He has a very thick Indian accent and I'm having a hard time understanding him. :o(

Taiya, I hope they take down the info. about you.

tumbleweedgirl said...

hey

thanks to all those who congratulated zaya on k registration. it was pretty cool

karen

trying to catch up. see i missed suz. sad.

. said...

Bella, I have had a Brazilian.

tumbleweedgirl said...

tara

try ufs explorer. it recovered all my data. if you have a cable, you can connect your laptop drive to your desktop via usb. it will/should appear as a separate drive that you can get data off.

it got all my stuff.

. said...

Oh, even better. My warranty didn't expire 2 months ago, it's expired 10 DAYS ago.
Someone hates me.

. said...

I cannot understand this guy.

. said...

And now he's trying to sell me an extended 4 year warranty.

*bangs head on wall*

. said...

Rhys, thanks! I'll check that out if I ever get off of the phone.

tumbleweedgirl said...

tara

abandon that

go the route of finding a friend who does computer stuff.

ask for help

i swear it will go better. given that i cursed my dell and burned it

Lisa said...

Tara, just tell him you are having difficulty with his accent and need a native-English speaker. It's really okay to do that.

. said...

"You have a great time, God bless you Tara"

LOL that was cute. Now I'm being transferred.

I'm sure none of you care, sorry!

tumbleweedgirl said...

ap

tech support is probably in india. a lot of computer tech support has been farmed out over there

. said...

LOL Rhys. I wish I knew someone!

I might AP. This new guy is a little better.

tumbleweedgirl said...

tara

you know me

(:

. said...

Asshats. The guy at the laptop number said he wouldn't even talk to me unless I paid $59 for a tech support call.

. said...

I know, but you're not here! :o(

tumbleweedgirl said...

tara

i can still talk you through it

. said...

Crap. Now what do I do? I'll go crazy without my laptop this weekend. I have my own photos to edit and a photo shoot!

. said...

Rhys, if I can restore it to, like, yesterday I think it would be fine. But I can't even get to that option anymore.

tumbleweedgirl said...

when you boot what happens?

Lisa said...

"tech support is probably in india. a lot of computer tech support has been farmed out over there"

Yes, I know...have dealt with this situation many times since I'm prone to calling after hours. If you request a native-English speaker you stand a chance of being transferred back to the States, where most companies do have limited staff working overnight calls. At the worst, they'll transfer you to someone named "Pamela", who thinks she doesn't have an accent at all and who, in all likelihood, will at least be understandable.

. said...

Well, it does the Dell thing, then a blue screen of death comes up with a bunch of stuff. Then it goes to the screen that offers start up repair or start windows normally. Neither of those options yield any solutions.

. said...

LOL at the "Pamela" comment. I think they all have fake call names.

I talked to Steve first. Then it was Paul, I think. It could have been Raul, but I'm guessing Paul was a more likely choice.

Lisa said...

I had a parakeet named Raul once.

I'm off to bed, y'all. Posts are still low so I'm going to leave it as-is so Rhys and Tara can talk tech stuff without having to move. Hopefully they can get it fixed. :-) I'll change it up in the morning. G'night!

. said...

We can move if you want us to, AP. Sorry to hog up the comments with my boring computer stuff.

Nighty Night!

tumbleweedgirl said...

ap

wow! i had no idea. *files idea away*

tumbleweedgirl said...

sorry ap.

tara,

i had that happen too. it means that the computer has hit a restore point, it has failed booting too many times. options:

1. do you have a recover CD? or windows install?

if you do, load it up and get into the bios. choose boot from CD

then choose 'restore'. it should work away. it might fix the problem.

Lisa said...

No, no, no, Tara, it's totally cool. Comments are below 200, so low, and I don't have any idea for a new post anyway. Y'all work from here and good luck! I hope I read good news in the morning. :-)

Rhys, an AT&T tech tipped me off to that little trick!

Now, really, goodnight!

tumbleweedgirl said...

the only other option is to remove the hard drive and do the cable thingie. there also might be local repair computer shops that will take the hard drive and get your data off of it.

i have to go to sleep. email me if youwant more help. i will do everything i can. i know how upsetting this can be.

. said...

I know it's a software issue, this has happened before.

I'm sure I do have a recovery CD, but won't that restore it to the original settings?

. said...

Oh, didn't see the part where you said you were going to bed. I'll email you tomorrow. Thanks for your help!

Still catching up - lots and lots of posts to read!

No kittens yet!! Patti stayed til 3 and then had to come home and get ready to go to my mom's! I don't know - I'm starting to think that she is having some kind of problems with those kittens, or maybe she just isn't ready yet and doesn't know it? I'm not sure - we have plans for tomorrow most of the afternoon but may stop by later in the day to check on her - but Megan and her mother in law will be home all day and watching her. I just hope by morning we get an update call that the kittens are born and healthy! After this they better get that cat fixed! She has such a hard time and its not good for her! If she does have live kittens though - they all already have a home! So thats good! I talked to Megan at 11 and the momma was eating tuna fish, and drinking water, and sleeping! Dang cat!!

My mom's dinner was so good, she made quiche and a salad with romaine, peas and water chestnuts, and the dressing was mayo and parm cheese and a bit of sugar. She also had some grapes and blueberry muffins... and Better Than Sex cake for dessert! and my sister brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate the divorce finalization. It was fun!

Going to catch up - anyone awake?

Karen said...

Still reading and catching up - reading from the top of this post and I'm very jealous of all of you that garden and grow things!!

My thumbs are both brown! I love plants and want a small little bed outside my doors, I'm gonna try but I haven't had much luck in the past... but all this talk of herbs makes me want to plant those too - but we have lots and lots of bunnies around here, would they eat them?

Robin, you sound like you have the type of yard/outdoor area that I would just like to sit and relax in and smell all the different plants/flowers and relax... I bet its great out there in the evenings in the summers... extremely jealous!!

Coming out of lurkdom to correct something said earlier by fwop. Comments are closed there for the weekend so I'll place this here. Fwop said: “They’ve also determined that we are not stalking anyone and that information that has been made public on the worldwide web is up for grabs unless it is copyrighted.” It simply isn’t true that everything on the internet is in the public domain and “up for grabs” unless it’s been explicitly copyrighted. When someone puts original writing or photographs on the internet (on their own website or someone else’s) it’s considered to be published and owned by them even if there is no copyright symbol. Since 1989 in the US, under the Berne Convention, all copyrights are automatic. There are provisions for “fair use” of the original material of others (involving parodies, critiques, etc.) but certain guidelines must be met.
