I had manacotti that night, and I couldn't eat it because it was what I IMAGINED cow tongue would look like, and the consistancy it would be.

No kidding. It was almost cruel!
Verdict is in - we liked it and I'll make it again. It tastes like a really good roast and the texture is exactly what you've expect tongue to be. Tongue-y. I have no idea why I was expecting something different. Chew on your own tongue...this is s bit firmer but same feel. That took a couple of bites to adjust to, but it wasn't a problem. I'll see how it slices for sandwiches tomorrow, once it's cold. At $2.69 a pound, it's cheaper than a good roast, too. I think most everyone would like it but I also think most everyone would be a bit freaked out by the preparation. :-D I took some pictures to send to my cousin. I'll see if I can put a blog post together out of them so y'all can see!
Sounds very interesting AP! I doubt I will ever seek it out in the grocery to cook but I would definitely try it.

Hey ladies do we have any resume gurus in here? I have to write a new resume and it is going to SUCK because for one in the last 3 years I havent worked more than like 5 months at a time....hell I havent worked at all for a year and a half right now but I do have skills and I am in school but I have no idea how to make myself sound awesome by a potential employer.
Wish I was good at it Shannon. I have been working for my dad for 3 years, so I didn't have to write a resume to get that job! My hubs has googles sample resumes and got some interesting pointers that way.
Well ya know Lindsay....God may be mad at me but I am not afraid!!!!
Oh, and to clarify, I don't think God is mad at any of the commenters at MWoP. I think He might be mad at a certain someone who's been blessed and taking all the glory for themselves, and really giving none to Him.
That may be a way to go. I found a job that really would be perfect for me....part time, goes with what I am in school for....they want a resume and a letter explaining why you want to work part time.
Hell with my classes all being online part time couldnt be better!!!!

A part time job would be awesome. Especially to gather experience. And maybe by the time you are ready to graduate, the economy would be better and you can turn it into a full time position.
That's the person I'm talking about :) Man every time I think I'm done and over with her, I see something else that chaps my hide. It's none of my business. Most of what she does (except for the foreclosures and repo's) has no bearing on my life, and yet, I get sucked in and start to be annoyed again. Good Lord! I need to get over it already!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that despite the glowing reviews, I don't think tongue is on the menu this week. Or anytime soon. I started to bite on my tongue and got really grossed out at the texture.
You make me chuckle Lindsay....I feel the same way with JM. Why do I care so much? How can I not care?
And with the PT portion of a job it just will fit my life so much better right now. Maybe it will be something where I can grow some and learn for what I plan to do for my business after graduation.

Often, when they say that, it means the teacher has a deceased family member or a funeral to attend.
