Rest in peace, Doug Fieger.

Your name may not be well known, but what you co-wrote and sang surely is and will be.

Kay, back again here and reposting this:

"Kay, I wish I could give you that hug in person. I'm not even a huggy sort but I would for you in a heartbeat. Now, I'm going to the new post with this but wanted it to be here, too."

I'm so very sorry you're having people act like this with you. Are you certain that the teasing you for your accent wasn't an attempt at lightness? I've had that happen with Yankee friends. If not, that was really wrong. I hate, too, that you're in so much pain. Ugh..I just wish I could really help.

Lisa said...

I'm up...can't sleep. My knees and hips are having either a revolt or a party with a lot of bass. I'm not sure which. I? Am doing the most logical thing ever and shopping. Well, and eating pretzels with guacamole.

Shannon said...

Hey AP isnt it like waaaayyyyyy past your bed time my dear?

Shannon said...

I am thinking about eating a whole can of Stax

Shannon said...

Guess you already went to bed. Been kind of a hell of a day. I am trying to sort out a lot on my mind and been hiding out a lot today...it frustrates me a lot.

kristin said...

Good morning all! LFoB - sorry you are having a rough go of it! I hope today is better.

AP - ouch! Hope you got some sleep!

Shannon - sorry about your hell of a day!

It's Monday, a holiday, and I have to work :(

PJ said...

Morning Kristin.

AP, this song I remember!

kristin said...

Morning CK!

How are you?

PJ said...

I'm good, Kristin.

My daughter warned me that when I pick her up for her PT appointment today, that some of her hair is blue.

I'm glad I was warned.

kristin said...

AWESOME!

What time is her PT?

I was under the assumption that all schools had off today, yeah...not the school district here...odd.

PJ said...

I thought all schools here were closed too - but some aren't. It looks like it's the schools who've had a few snow days. They probably need today to make it up.

PT is at 11:00.

kristin said...

Yeah, no snow days for us :)

PJ said...

So the guy who did the poetry at the opening ceremonies - I liked the performance, but don't like the neck beard. (he's on the Today Show).

PJ said...

Has anyone heard from Corinne? There was a serious train accident in Brussels.

kristin said...

Kinda quiet this morning.

Is everyone laying low?

Where is my friend SW?

I really wish I was in bed right now.

No, I haven't CK - I'll try to e-mail her.

PJ said...

I e-mailed her too Kristin.

Robin in Montana said...

Good morning, everyone. :-)

I'm here, just trying to get a transcript done.

I hope someone hears from Corinne soon!

kristin said...

Morning RiM!

How are you?

Did you try the thunderstorm?

PJ said...

Hi RiM! How are you?

Angie said...

Morning all! Thanks for asking about me Kristin! We didn't get a snow day, but we did get a little bit of snow and a delayed opening, so I took my time getting in to work this morning.

CK, I saw the neck beard poet on the Today Show too. I agree with you: like the guy, liked the poem, hate the neck beard. Note to guys: neck hair does NOT hide multiple chins. Not.

I'm worried about Corinne too.

How great to see French Teacher and LFoB here last night! Welcome! (And I thought MAP scared everybody off!)

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin -- I did try the Thunderstorm in the bedroom, and I *love it! (Lisa, you'd like that scent, too.) (Scentsy tarts, to clarify, since I'm just rambling.)

CK -- Hi! I'm glad you're still here!

I don't think neck beards are good on anyone, double chins or not.

PJ said...

I looked at him, and he doesn't really have a chin to speak of. It's kind of all neck up to his lips.

PJ said...

Are you calling us tarts, RiM?

PJ said...

Morning SW.

We got snow too, but not a lot (for Minnesota).

I'm gonna be away from the computer for a while - will check in later.

Kristin, I e-mailed you my phone number to ask you to text me when someone hears from Corinne.

No prank calls, okay. And no writing it in a public restroom - you know, for a good time, call this tart 123-456-7890

kristin said...

I'm glad you like it RiM!

Robin in Montana said...

CK - after the fiasco of the last two days I would never call you anything.

::coughtartcough:::

kristin said...

lol CK...dammit! Was going to go put it in the warehouse for the workers to call you :)

Yes, I replied!

Hi SW! :)

Lisa said...

Morning! Shannon, are you okay? Was the bad time at home or online? Either way, I'm sorry. :-(

SW, I didn't run anyone but Joanne off. Well, and maybe Bella. I'm still worried about that.

I've got to try those Scentsy tarts. I ordered from Busy Bee last night. She had 15% off, which wasn't great but she's not had a sale in a year so I figured I better just do it.

Kristin, how's LM feeling?

If anyone hears from Corinne, please let the rest of us know.

PJ said...

I'm also waiting to hear that my niece made it to Togo. Breathe....

Robin in Montana said...

I think I am a dummy -- I just went to Corinne's Facebook page, and saw comments under Kristin's that reminded me ... who is Noreen? I should know that; right?

Robin in Montana said...

AP - Kristin's sister has 10% off all of February.

CK -- I hope your niece gets there safe and sound, too. What's she doing there?

Angie said...

French Teacher (from last night): I think Canada is doing a fantastic job with the Olympics! The technical glitch with the torch at the opening ceremony was unfortunate, but it came right at the end and everything before it was sooo good!

Congrats on your gold yesterday!

PJ said...

Volunteering as a nurse on Mercy Ship for 2 months. She left Friday afternoon, and has had the international trip from HE double hockey sticks.

PJ said...

Bye - or I'm going to be late.

Angie said...

Bye CK!

Robin in Montana said...

Corinne is okay! She just posted on her Facebook. :)

Anonymous said...

Hey all! I just got home from school.

I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for worrying about me.

What happened is just terrible. They've recovered 18 bodies but think there are 7 more corpses to be found.
Apparently one of the train drivers did not respect a "stop" signal and collided with another train.

kristin said...

Glad you are safe and I just texted CK.

LM is good, still coughing but good, thanks for asking.

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Thanks for doing that :)

I'm glad to hear LM is doing better. I hope the coughing will subside soon.

kristin said...

That sucks about the accident. We had one here recently where a bus ran a red light and the metro train derailed. I don't think there were any fatalities but still, that is why they have the signals.

Yes, AP - my sister always has all kinds of specials. She would thank you if you ordered from her :)

There is a package deal where you can get a warmer and like 3 scents for $36.00. Oh, the warmer of the month is so cute - its for pet lovers :)

Here is the link for the multi-pack: https://kendallg.scentsy.us/Buy/ProductDetails/MP-SS13

You pick your warmer and your 3 scents. That is what I started with.

How are you feeling RiM?

Angie said...

So glad to hear from you Corinne! Terrible tragedy.

Robin in Montana said...

I am feeling better -- the cold sore that threatened to take over my face is subsiding, although I still sort of look like I've been beat up. :-)

That is very sad, Corinne.

Anonymous said...

Ok. I'm caught up. Glad to see FT stopped by!

Re: the tragedy:

It is all terrible, I agree. I'm still reading through the news websites to find out more. I don't think anyone I know was in either train but there are so many victims (25 expected deaths and about a hundred injured people)...

Anonymous said...

Hey Kristin, How long do those Scentsy things last? Does the smell permeate a large area? I am not having luck with candles because our living are is so open.

RiM...I have a code sore *in my nose...ouch.

kristin said...

Christy - they last a few days - but the small packs have 6 small bricks.

Yes, it permeates a large room. My mother has a really open house and her house always smells awesome.

Alright ladies, going to go get some lunch.

Robin in Montana said...

Christy - you might have to run a couple of warmers, but the tarts are stronger scented than candles, IMO. And some scents last longer than others, too. Gee, that was nice and vague, wasn't it? lol.

And I have a cold sore in my nose, under my nose, and down and across the top of my lip. I can see it in my peripheral vision. lol.

Why Kelly stays, I have no idea.

Robin in Montana said...

Totally a side rant -- my landlords have not cashed my rent check still. I pay on the 1st. Why? It messes me all up and I look at my balance online and think I'm rich or something. lol.

kristin said...

I feel your pain RiM - that happens to me all the time!

kristin said...

its been revealed - blog partner is RV.

Angie said...

Dang, I'm disappointed. Mck unveiled her new blog partner, PC, and although I should be happy that I was right about him being her new co-blogger, his first post was so boring I'm almost numb and couldn't get through it. Dang.

Lisa said...

CK, when do you expect to hear from your niece? Let us know when you do, please? She left yesterday or the day before, right?

Corrine, I'm so glad you aren't dead!

Kristin, I keep meaning to check your sisters site out...I will, I promise. Thanks!

Lisa said...

Oh, poor Israel...that just wasn't a very good read. :-/ I did, however, love the "related discussions in my community" links on his blog:

Lindsay said...

Hellooo! I couldn't get through JM's post, so when I scrolled down to link to PC's post, I didn't have the energy to click. Jeesh. Long-winded much?

Corrine - glad you are safe!

Hey to everyone else.

kristin said...

Hey Lindsay! How are you feeling?

Lisa said...

Hey, Lindsay. :-) I swear, I can be long-winded but if I ever get as dry and dull as the two of them are, I'd genuinely appreciate it if someone clued me in.

Angie said...

Hi Lindsay!

I think Mck and PC need to go to a writing class. You know, where you learn how to write essays, where each paragraph has a point that is different from the point above. Mck is just so repetitive. I don't really know what PC was trying to say, because I was so bored by the time I got to his. I can't see sheeple husbands flocking to read him. Can you?

Lindsay said...

Things are good here (better than this weekend!)

Kristin - how's the new 'puter?? Good, I hope. I am going to have to take a peek at your sister's scentsy. Let's see, I first talked about doing that sometime last year . . .

AP - I promise, I'll let you know. Seriously, I like to talk. a.lot. But, please shoot me, if I get to talking like that, too :)

Lindsay said...

Travis wouldn't flock to read anything on the internet that I told him to, especially not that drivel. I just wonder what on this green earth they are thinking? Just stick to pictures of your cute kids. Really. That's where they are successful. They make cute kids and take cute pictures of them.

Lindsay said...

And I meant to say hi to you SW :) Sorry, having diarreah of the mouth today!

Lisa said...

Deal,Lindsay...we'll poke each other if we ever get that bad. I wonder if JM is writing for him?

Lindsay said...

I just saw that suggestion on MWoP. I might have to pull myself together and actually read it. Or not. Maybe as a bedtime story.

Angie said...

They can't pay their mortgage with pictures of cute healthy kids. Cute healthy kids are a dime a dozen. Stellan's illness brought the clicks. This is just another shot by Mck to reinvigorate her blog.

Lindsay said...

SW - you are totally right, I guess. I just can't imagine who's got the patience to read this crap.

Lisa said...

I agree, SW. A blog, in the end, is still just that. In the end, a blog will never be permanently successful because there will always be someone "better" coming along. Even the big ones like Dooce and Pioneer Woman will fade.

Lindsay said...

Dear Lord. He's using the Gorton's sweater pic for his "branding". And are the misspelled words supposed to be part of the charm? Because I don't know about you, but using spell check is pretty darn easy and misspelled words are pretty darn annoying.

kristin said...

lol Lindsay! So true!

Anonymous said...

No freaking way. Non-PC!?!?

Kathleen said...

Is it only me or do ya'll wish mckpapa would grow his damn hair back? Only a few men can rock the all the way bald thing, and he is not one of them. Makes him look like a hooligan.

Robin in Montana said...

Lindsay -- I only made it past the first couple paragraphs, but the misspelling was the first thing I saw. After that, he lost me on all the sports cliches and so on. Seriously, Kelly tries to be pretty open to trying to get why I like certain things (like Survivor, for instance, lol.) so if I wanted him to, he'd probably try to read that drivel, but after about the first paragraph I know he'd look at me, and go, "WHU???? The hell????" lol.

Robin in Montana said...

Kathleen -- I wish he'd put the condom hat back on, and that's saying a lot, because I *hated that hat.

Kathleen said...

Ha, RIM, I forgot about the condom hat...

Anonymous said...

RIM, I couldn't even read it.

It should be titled "Smack Daddy" IMO.

kristin said...

or baby daddy! lol

Kathleen said...

Yeah, My dh wouldn't read more than the first few lines of that shit. He likes nerd stuff, & he likes funny stuff, but he doesn't like being talked at by an overbearing dude. It totally reads like mck M is writing it, the styles are too similar, the same going on and on about the same thing over and over. Throwing in a few sports references doesn't make it "manly"

Anonymous said...

I mean no disrespect to anyone here by my comment but I will be referring to them now as Jim and Tammy Faye. One was a crook and the other cried for donations.

Lindsay said...

Sandy that makes me laugh. Who'll be wearing the eyelashes?

Anonymous said...

Not quite sure LOL.

Anonymous said...

AP said "Corrine, I'm so glad you aren't dead!"

That had me laughing out loud! Thanks :)

Thanks everyone, actually!

I'm so bummed Mck's blog partner is RV. It's just blah. Would have been funnier if it had been Beccah!

Lindsay said...

I would probably have peed my panties if it had been Beccah. Oh Lordy. The JM could have been on her high horse about forgiveness and redemption and yada, yada, yada.

kristin said...

So question, there is a Beccah on MWoP - do you think its the same or just someone with the same name?

Anonymous said...

Lindsay - It would have been the death of Mck, blog-wise. But, it would have been super funny to snark on that collaboration!

Kristin- I don't know. I'd say someone with the same name...

Lisa said...

Okay, if you straightened the spelling up on Israel's blog, would it not sound *exactly like something JM wrote? I think she wrote it and left a few words misspelled so it didn't look like she did it.

Nilia said...

SW: I'm here, I'm here!

Thanks, that gold was awesome, I was so happy for Bilodeau! Isn't it funny that the happiest of the 3 medal winners is always the gold and the bronze? I guess the gold has every right to be happy, and the bronze is just glad to be on the podium at all. And silver is just a nudge from gold, but the silver medal winner is always the unhappiest of the 3.

I totally could not be watching this on-site, my heart would just give out!

Anonymous said...

AP- I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't surprise me.

FT- Hi!!

Nilia said...

Re: RV as her blog collaborator.... do you think she's trying to appeal to the Mr. Sheeples?

Anonymous said...

FT- LOL @ the mister sheeples! :p

Maybe. Personally, I think she's trying to keep her followers since her very own blog has become b-o-r-i-n-g!

Nilia said...

Corrine: I'm glad you're not dead too!

Nilia said...

Gawd, she dresses him and now she's going to write his thoughts and feelings on stuff too. Awe-some.

kristin said...

Hi FT!

and all others that have jumped on that I haven't personally said hello too!

Anonymous said...

FT- Thanks :)

Nilia said...

Hi Kristin!

Anonymous said...

FT- She has no fashion sense. I don't know how any self-respecting man would wear what she makes him wear. That sweater on the banner picture is fugly!

Anonymous said...

Sh*t. I just heard on the news that France got two gold medals yesterday. That sucks. (Oh yeah, I hate both the French and the Russian team)

Nilia said...

I don't think my husband even owns a sweater, like in the cable-knit sense. Those only look good on models and very very thin and tall men.

On no, Dixon just wiped out on the men's downhill, his family's faces are just devastated. Dixon's been through so much stuff in his life, I really wanted this for him.

That makes me sad.

Nilia said...

Either I killed it, or you are all off reading PCs blog contribution.

kristin said...

I'm here FT, just making an attempt at work :)

Nilia said...

OMG it's true, she *does want the Mr. Sheeple added to her bloggy income audience. Her post is revolting and a load of crap. And is she still saying she *almost lost a second house? Really, still?

Angie said...

Hi FT! I don't know who Dixon is. Will go check.

I hate the cable sweater on MckDaddy too. (Ugh "MckDaddy"?)

Corinne, it's funny to me that you hate the Russians and the French. We already talked about the Russians, why hate the French? Is it a Belgian/French thing?

Lisa said...

I'm here, listening to music and doing a little reading. :-D

Anonymous said...

Hey AP, I forgot to say I know this song!

FT...hi :) I can't get past the first sentence of PC's blog.

Robin in Montana said...

FT -- I'm here. I was just shopping online for a fisherman's sweater and condom hat for your husband. :-)

Lindsay said...

Hey FT - I haven't talked to you in ages!! Hope all is well where you are!

I hated that stupid sweater when she first debuted that picture. And I still think it looks like it's ridiculous. He's missing his yellow rain hat for when he's at sea.

Lisa said...

Does anyone here use Thunderbird for your email and if so, do you like it?

Anonymous said...

FT- I'm here. I was responding to emails :)

Christy- That one? "I have whatever I have at any given moment"

This is pure genius! ROFLMAO :D

Nilia said...

Hi SW! Sorry, that was for anyone watching the men's downhill live. Dixon is one of our Canadians, he first took out a flag, corrected, but wiped out before the finish. Luckily he wasn't injured but I wish he'd placed better, just one of those individuals you want something awesome to happen to (hearing loss as a child, I believe he's considered legally deaf, he lip-reads anyway and was taught how to ski by his grandfather who is now is his 80s and still skiis, love his story).

I second your "Ugh". All I could hear when I read that title was "Who's you're MckDaddy, huh??? Who's your MCKDADDY???". Sorry, that disturbed me too but now I feel better that I've put it into all of your heads.

Nilia said...

SW: I don't think *anyone likes the French, LOL!

Shannon said...

Hey ladies.....Sorry for the weird post last night/early AM. I am trying to get things all over sorted out in my brain both internet and real life LOL.....

Like in my real life I am about ready to just blow up peeps. My friends brother/30 year old son..has been causing her so much grief and it is stressful because he is almost scary to confront about anything and it upsets me because I feel like she and her SO are trapped by him.

At home we had the talk about people helping out more and taking more responsibility around here but NOTHING has happened with that. It frustrates me to no end so I will once again leave things where they are and act like everyone else and be unable to see the messes.

Internet world MEH what can ya do but take time sometimes right?

Corrine I am so glad you arent dead....I like you much better alive.

Angie said...

LOL FT!

Nilia said...

Oh RiM! I am a loss for words. How did you know that I want to turn my King Whopper into a MckDaddy??!! I long to live JMs life. The sheeple are right, I *am jealous. And a cablesweater and condom-hat would go SO far in helping me to achieve my dream.

Anonymous said...

SW- It's definitely a Belgian/French thing.
The French are so chauvinistic, it's unbearable!

Well, Criminal Minds is on so I'm off!

See you all tomorrow!

Anonymous said...

Shannon- Thanks!

Nilia said...

Hey Lindsey and Christy!

Don't let the word "French" in my handle scare you off. I teach French, because it is the second official language in our country. Despite the fact that the Quebecers are doing pretty well at the Olympics, none of us like them either. Cuz they're so damned unique and all.

Speaking French is my skill, not my passion, LOL!

Angie said...

Hi Shannon, sorry things are stressful for you. I want to blow up peeps too, if it's any consolation.

Robin in Montana said...

FT -- I will gladly do my part in helping you achieve your dreams. I have a falling apart dresser here, and I know AP probably has some turquoise paint. Will that help?

I am *loving the Olympics. It's dorky, but I get all bawlified.

SHannon - sorry about the stress IRL. :(

Nilia said...

RiM: Wait. I have to check with JM to ask the exact shade of turquoise. It wouldn't be enough to just have turquoise, you know, I'll have to ask her about that particular shade.

In the meantime, leave the dresser out in the rain for a few days, for that expensive "distressed" look. I will get back to you very soon.

Angie said...

"bawlified" is a good word. I get all bawlified too. Even the commercials make me weepy. Did you see the one where the athletes are all kids, and the caption at the end is something to the effect of "To their Moms, they're still kids." (sniff)

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- Yes, that one makes me cry. The one with Dan Janssen (I spelled that wrong, didn't I?) and his daughter named afer his sister. Good grief.

FT - I'll leave it out in the rain. I'll be out there dirtying my knees, anyway.

Angie said...

Robin, you dirtying your knees gives me a distinctly different visual than when Mck does it. Just saying.

Angie said...

Okay, my secretary just told me that she's going to the emergency room because her left arm is hurting and her blood pressure is spiking. I offered to go with -- someone else is taking her, and she said it wasn't necessary for me to go. That's good enough, right? I offered. Right?

Nilia said...

RiM: thank you much.

I'm out for a bit, going to visit a cousin + wife who had their 3rd boy recently. Back later tonight, you girls be good now and keep it clean (SW, that was for you, LOL!).

Nilia said...

SW: morally, you're off the hook. But you might want to shoot RV a tweet to be sure.

kristin said...

SW - you are good :)

Bye FT!

Robin in Montana said...

SW - I agree. You should ask yourself WWRVD?

And I'm offended at the dirty knees comment. Honestly. Hmmph.

Karen said...

Hi Kids! Whats new?

I still feel like crap! achy, stuffy, chest is tight, headache, can't sleep...

and.. we are forecast to get another 3-6 inches of snow.

How is everyone else???

Angie said...

ROFL re WWRVD! That could be a whole blog topic, no?

Angie said...

Hi Karen! Sorry you're still sick.

And about the more snow thing. Ugh.

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- I'm having orange plastic bracelets made with WWRVD on them as we speak.

Hi Karen!

Karen said...

Hi Robin!

WWRVD - I need to go read this Mck post - I have it open, but haven't gotten the urge to read it yet... I hear its hard to get through, and I'm trying to motivate myself to start it!!

kristin said...

WWRVD - that would make a great t-shirt too :) in orange?

Lindsay said...

Okay, call me ignorant, but why do you call him RV? What does that stand for?

Nikki B. said...

'ello all!

Nikki B. said...

lindsay - it was an early SIP reference, or a late OHIH...root vegetable? i think?!

kristin said...

RV = Root Vegetable = PC

I don't remember who said it but I remember it had something to do about him flying alone, when he missed his connecting flight or something. I'm sure someone will remember what was said and can do it much more justice than I can.

Karen said...

Yep Root Vegetable. I think it was Bella that came up with that, around the time that they were in Boston, something to do with a root vegetable having more common sense, or intelligence, or something! It stuck!

Karen said...

Yea, thats it, what Kristin said!!

Hi Kristin!

kristin said...

hi Karen!

Karen said...

Are you working today? no holiday off? We never had holiday's like this off work either... kinda dumb cause this is the slow season, but I had to work too!!

kristin said...

yup, I'm at work :(

Lisa said...

Shannon, I'm sorry, I really hope some of all that lets up for you soon. The mess at home would especially be on my last nerve, I admit. You aren't anyone's maid. :-(

Karen, sorry you feel like crap. Are you taking anything?

Angie said...

I think the quote was, "Root vegetables shouldn't travel alone." Hat tip to Bella's brilliance!

Lindsay said...

Ahhh. Must have been a SIP thing, but I wouldn't know (insert sarcasm here).

Shannon - I do feel bad for you. And I know your pain. Why is it that we are the only ones who notice the milk ring on the counter or the dog food spilled. I keep telling myself I wasn't put on this earth to be a slave, so I've got to figure something out.

kristin said...

There you go SW!

I now have a headache and I couldn't pull that out of the dark depths of the hallows.

Lindsay said...

SW - LOL! Definite hat tip to Bella. She's a funny girl.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said that about SIP. Forgive me. . .Is that when you use an "oopsie daisy"?

Lisa said...

Yep, Lindsay. Throw an "oopsie daisy" in there and it's all good. :-)

PJ said...

oopsie daisy.

Gotta go work.

Karen said...

Good memory SW!!!

AP I'm taking mucinex, but so far its not working! hot coffee (I hate tea!) and cough drops, that are full of sugar and I don't eat that much sugar and they are making me feel jittery!

PJ said...

She's alive!!!! That I am grateful for.

Hoping my niece is too - still no word. Maybe she succumbed to her wild side and decided to stay in Casablanca.

When she, my daughter and I traveled to NYC, we came up with the following recap of one evening in Times Square:

Anna had sex on the beach, Caitlin pole danced on the subway, and I was the Drowsy Chaperone.

PJ said...

::the alive reference was for our dear Corinne::

Lindsay said...

Karen - I have never had mucinex work for me. It actually makes me feel worse. You could try just a spoonful of honey. It'll soothe your throat and stop you from coughing if you have a cough.

Robin in Montana said...

Hi CK!

Karen said...

This is a generic of the mucinex medicine, and I've taken it before and it worked, but this time, not so much. I was awake til after 6 this morning, then slept til 11 and now I'm up again. I have a nasal spray decongestant and it usually works too but makes me feel like my hair is standing on end... and like I could jump out of my skin, and I hate that feeling worse than I hate not being able to breathe!

We are going to see Jesus Christ Superstar tomorrow night for my birthday... I want to be better and not coughing and blowing my nose every 5 minutes by then, I hate to be annoying at something like that!! Ugggh!

And Corinne I'm really glad you are alive too! Feel terrible for the families of those people that died though, to get up and go to work in the morning thinking its just another day and then that happens, its horrible. Felt the same way after the WTC 9/11 - those people were just going about their lives and boom... Very sad!

Robin in Montana said...

Karen - I'm sorry you're feeling so cruddy. I wish I knew something to tell you to try. I hope you have a good time tomorrow night and feel better by then.

I've been having the sinus/head/chest/something crap from hell, too. I use my albuterol inhaler maybe once or twice a month on average -- I've gone through an entire inhaler in the last week, and at night, forget it, I can't breathe to save my life.

Karen said...

I've never had any problems with asthma or breathing or anything, although I do have sinus issues a few times a year, but this is feeling like it is going to turn into a chest/bronchitis thing, but I just feel like I'm not getting enough air... guess cause my nose is so clogged and my throat is on fire, and i hate trying to breathe out of my mouth, maybe i'm not breathing enough... who knows! but I feel like I need an inhaler!! LOL

PJ said...

She's alive too!!!!
(niece)

Karen said...

Oh CK thats great, glad you heard from her! I bet you were a nervous wreck! How long will she be there, did you say 2 weeks or 2 months?

PJ said...

Two months - and yes, I figured she was okay, but it certainly is good to know that for sure.

She is going to have the time of her life doing this I'm sure! What an experience for her!!

CK -- I'm glad!

Karen -- I know it's dorky and old fashioned, but Vick's Vapor Rub?

Angie said...

Lordy, my Mom loves her some Vick's Vapor Rub! She puts it on her lips before she goes to bed every night. But AFTER she kisses Dad goodnight, because she's thoughtful that way. :-)

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- That's funny. My mom put Ben Gay on everything -- your back hurts? Ben Gay. You can't breathe? Ben Gay. My dad? Listerine, all the way, baby.

Just want to stop in and say Hi. I saw AP point this blog out on MWOP last week and meant to come over, but spaced it out. Looks cool in here.

Angie said...

Hi J&R! It's great to see you!

kristin said...

Hi J&R!

How are you?

Josh and Rya said...

Hi SW and Kristin! Good to see you ladies, too! Nice to catch up again.

Angie said...

I was just checking out your blog, J&R, and that picture you took of your son's loose tooth kinda freaks me out. It's funny, I remember vividly the feeling of having a loose tooth, and not being bothered by it at all and even enjoying it. But seeing other people's loose teeth is freaky. Or is it just me? :-)

It's cool that your son's kindergarten class had a party to celebrate 100 days of kindergarten. Very sweet.

Josh and Rya said...

That tooth was horrible, SW. It was so loose that it fell out while he was sleeping! He just knocked the one next to it out on the playground, too!

Robin in Montana said...

Hi J & R! :)

Josh and Rya said...

Hi RiM! I was wondering where you went :)

Robin in Montana said...

I've been trying to actually work for once (gasp) but I got sucked back in a little bit here these last couple days. :-D

kristin said...

errrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh.

I hate when I cannot find a document that I need :( Does anyone know where my water odyssey warranty is? Anyone?

kristin said...

I just have to say that when you actually work, time flies by! It is almost 5:00! Woo Hoo!

Robin in Montana said...

Just started a new transcript - testimony of one witness about an estate case. The dead guy's nickname was ... well, I can't tell. Sometimes it sounds like they're calling him "Hood" and sometimes it sounds like "Pud". Is that how you'd spell that? P-u-d? And I know it's irreverent, but thank God I don't have a dad nicknamed Pud, should we ever end up in a court of law fighting over his broke-down truck or something. :-D

Okay, I'm out. Time to do the 4:00 shuffle and sweep, shower, and break out something for dinner.

In spite of how today started, I think it's ending halfway decent. :-D

kristin said...

*see ya RiM!

What's for dinner? You never said, and you always say :( I don't feel the love :)

kristin said...

oh, and on MWoP - Tina made an appearance. That is all!

I'm out too!

PJ said...

Belated Valentine's Day Dinner at Fogo de Chao with husband tonight.

Thank you XYZ Company for the prize of a $100 gift card. Otherwise V-Day dinner would have been a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's.

We will waddle home.

kristin said...

enjoy CK!

Lisa said...

CK, glad to hear Niece is safe and hope you have a great dinner!

J&R, its so darn good to see you again. Welcome! :-))

Where's Rebecca been around here? Did we lose her already?

PJ said...

I'm going to eat some sheeple....

Baa.....Pleeeese dooooon't eeeeeeat meeeeeee!

(The lamb medallions are THE BEST!)

kristin said...

Wrong on so many levels CK!

kristin said...

Where is everyone tonight?

Karen said...

Robin I love Vicks - I would bathe in Vicks but that might hurt! But yes, I use it religiously!! Well, not that I'm religious... You know what I'm saying!!! ha!

Angie said...

Wondering the same thing, Kristin. (Hi!) I went to get Indian food with my best friend after work. All the talk of IndiaFest yesterday got to me! I had Mataar Paneer (cheese and peas) and some delicious chick peas, and onion kulcha, of course. Yum!

Now I'm watching The Bachelor and the Olympics.

What are you up to?

Lisa said...

I'm here...was doing grown-up paperwork and watching Operation Repo.

Yum. Now I want more Indian food. So, SW, are y'all getting things back in a better place?

CK, you're enjoying all the sheep talk waaaay too much. ;-)

Karen said...

Paying your taxed AP?

Karen said...

Umm, that would have been funnier if I had said

Paying your TAXES AP?

yea, delivery - not my strong point!

kristin said...

SW - watching both too!

Lisa said...

LOl, Karen, no...they're paid. Remember? Until I screw up the next time, anyway.

I was actually going over some paperwork on some stocks...I hate that shit but Miss Arse makes me do it every so often. Yes, I'm 12 and my mommy still has to make me do my homework. I own it.

Angie said...

AP, my "best friend" Ann is one of my (female) law partners. My "work spouse" (male law partner) also known as my former BFF, is the guy I'm having issues with. (He used to call me his BFF and I went along with it; Ann's been my "real" best friend for years.) He and I didn't talk today at all. Since I made the last effort to be friendly, the ball is back in his court.

Angie said...

Kristin, I must say Vienna has been more likeable today than I've ever seen her.

kristin said...

LOL AP!

SW - who is he getting rid of? I say Gia - bad botox girl!

Lisa said...

SW, gotcha...I confused people. Well, good, that meant no tension at dinner and yep, agreed. It's his turn now. I just hope he knows it, too.

Karen said...

SW yes ball is in his court, you made a huge effort, his turn! Don't ya hate office politics!?

Angie said...

Yup, no tension at dinner! I actually kind of like office politics in general, Karen, because I love a good fight. But I can't "win" this fight. So it's like the movie War Games. Best not to play.

Angie said...

I don't know if he knows it's his turn, AP. He made several overtures last week that I slapped down mercilessly, even though we had a few friendly conversations this weekend. He may feel justified in pouting a while.

Lisa said...

SW, you could always shoot spitballs at him. That always breaks the ice. *nods*

Angie said...

Lordy, AP, why does it not surprise me that you'd shoot spitballs?

Angie said...

The "Go World" commercials during the olympic coverage are sweet.

Rebecca said...

Hi Pretty Girls!

I am lurking! Hello to all who don't have a clue who I am.

CK - That restaurant is so yum - enjoy. It is good to not be a vegetarian...go meat!

kristin said...

Hi Rebecca! Nice to meet you!

Rebecca said...

Hi Kristin -

So sorry you are having a rough time lately. Your little man is so cute!
