Cauliflower is definitely NOT essential here; I do it just to make sure my kids get enough veggies. I didn't have any celery on hand; if I did, I would chop 2-3 stalks finely and add it with carrots. Zucchini would work well in that regard, as well.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Did I kill it with my discussion of retractable bosoms and cauliflower?

Robin in Montana said...

No, I'm here. That sounds *really good.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

It's better with meat adding the fatty fat fat, that's for damn sure. Use it. Trust me.

Lisa said...

I"m back...Trudy, I've missed you! You should stop by more! And I think Hope is wonderful...I really wish she'd stop by and say hi, at least.

"I'm having an event at my house, called "Blow Your Tax Refund Here" or something equally clever. I'm selling my wine, and I'm having the following reps:"

I'm not even the social sort and my first thought was how much fun that sounds like. I'd come. You might not want me to, but I would anyway. *nods*

The poster about JM on MWoP? Doesn't shock me in the least. I don't get why she doesn't own this stuff. It's okay to be normal.

Lisa said...

Crap, I've got to get us a recipe link going. Someone kick my ass if I've not done something about that tonight.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

AP:

Don't kid yourself. I'd love to have you.

Robin in Montana said...

AP - I could kick your ass just in general, if you'd like. :-D

Lisa said...

MLWB, hi! :-)

"Kristin - she's still sick. But, if she bites the big one, I'm flying Corinne in to be my new IRL daughter. I will adopt her against her will."

CK, I adore you...really. A lot.

And now I see SW dumped my ass but just as I was starting to weep over it, Kristin still wants me. I'm still a little hurt but not too much now.

*goes to sit with Kristin and hopes she takes me to all her softball games*

Lisa said...

Thanks, BD! Glad I've not scared you too much with my evil ways. ;-)

Robin, you may as well kick it. If I don't deserve it now, I will eventually.

Hey, when did Deb say her daughter's surgery was going to be? I'm a dumbass and can't remember. It wasn't today, was it?

Robin in Montana said...

AP -- Okay. I don't know, though. Kicking someone's ass always sounds like a lot more fun when you're just talking about it, as opposed to having to actually *do it. :::eyes newly done nail polish and ponders:::

Jennifer-Lynn said...

AP:

Not as much of a dumbass as I...I didn't even know Deb's daughter was having surgery. I suck.

Anonymous said...

T to the G to the I to the F.

Bear with me, whist I crack open a beer.

Hey everyone!

PJ said...

Hey Bella! Playing whist while on crack?

PJ said...

AP,
I am loved - thanks.

Anonymous said...

Heterotofore, I shall verily play Whist whilst on crack.

I am positively giddy to be off work. Hi CK :)

PJ said...

SW - you were smart to give up any and all claims to Corinne - she's my brilliant, beautiful, buxom Belgian babe.

PJ said...

Bella - I am too! Four day weeks of school seem to last thirteen days.

Anonymous said...

CK, are we making our lady pairings here?

I claim BD.

PJ said...

Ah yes, Bella - the haiku harlots.

Oh wait, that was another blog.

Lisa said...

"Not as much of a dumbass as I...I didn't even know Deb's daughter was having surgery. I suck."

Well, it's entirely possible I misread it, too.

Bella said whist. Heh.

Robin in Montana said...

I don't want to join in any lady pairings. I'm getting enough worship in for more than one person as it is.

Lisa said...

"Heterotofore"

Do they make homotofores?

PJ said...

SW was going to adopt Corinne. I'm just staking my claim. And SW gave up without much of a fight.

I guess she knows how antagonistic I can be, and didn't want to go there.

Isn't that correct, friend of Peter Pan?

Anonymous said...

Anyone doing anything fun tonight?

kristin said...

"*goes to sit with Kristin and hopes she takes me to all her softball games* "

AP - I so would take you, I would love my mom or sister to come watch, but they won't :(

Would you watch me play football if I started playing again?

...still catching up!

They want me to up LM's breathing treatments...oh joy!

PJ said...

RinM - but worship with a lady could be an entirely different experience, now, couldn't it?

Anonymous said...

AP, I'm all for equal rights. Homotofore, go for it.

Anonymous said...

Kristin, I could see you playing lacrosse, for some reason!

PJ said...

I am going to drink and sleep and chat. And maybe some snark.

kristin said...

I want to say Deb said surgery was March 4th but don't quote me on that. It is just what popped in my head.

kristin said...

Do they make homotofores?

AP - i seriously think I love you...that made me giggle!

Lisa said...

"Anyone doing anything fun tonight?"

Yeah, y'all. Well, that sounds rather orgy-ish but you know what I mean.

Kristin, I will go to every game with you if you won't get mad at me for doing a little looking. Because the only place better to find good looking women than watching for cops outside the police station is a ladies softball game.

PJ said...

Two important questions for tonight:

1) Do these pants make my ass look big?

2) Does this proxy service hidemyass?

kristin said...

I was going to play Rugby but never starged.

I am trying to convince my son to go eat so I can eat at Pappasito's and have a strawberry margarita. He wants to eat tomorrow. :(

Anonymous said...

A homotofore sounds like a very uncomfortable article of clothing.

"SW, I think that you would look snexy just wearing your Peter Pan collar and homotofore."

"No, anything but the homotofore, AP!"

kristin said...

LMAO @ CK!

PJ said...

Ah Kristin - I'm glad you get it.

Anonymous said...

::blinking and not getting it, but it's okay :D::

PJ said...

JM's latest twitter.

"The tv news is here, filming a bit on us. My husband is getting interviewed at the kitchen table and the kids are running around downstairs!"

NO!!!! NO MORE ASININE LOCAL TV COVERAGE! IT IS HUMILIATING TO THE PEOPLE OF THE TWIN CITIES - MAKES US LOOK STOOOOOPID!

PJ said...

Bella,
hidemyass has been known to be used by nervous, insecure people to make them "think" they are invisible on the internet.

Amy said...

Hi everyone...good to see the haiku harlots together again!

Anonymous said...

CK , I get it! :)

Anonymous said...

Gotcha!

Amy said...

I am really regretting the fact that I ate 2 donuts AND pizza today. Thank you, work, for trying to woo someone to our department. BD, I am happy to see you and impressed by your weight loss! If I was in SoCal I would totally be at your par-tay. I <3 Pampered Chef.

Lisa said...

Deb, is it the 4th? We need to know so we can send good wishes up that day.

Yum. I just used all of the lonely sushi leftover stuff from the other night and made a krab casserole and shrimp fried rice. I'm happy.

Lisa said...

CK - lol! And boy howdy, we've had some people using those to visit us, haven't we? Hey, each to their own, I don't care but I don't know why people care so much to let it been seen they've stopped by.

"SW, I think that you would look snexy just wearing your Peter Pan collar and homotofore."

*dies* Snexy. SW is snexy.

Lisa said...

Amy, were they jelly filled?

Amy said...

AP,

No...one was a chocolate glazed yeast and one was an applesauce cake. They're from one of the greatest bakeries in town. I want more. Maybe I'll go there tomorrow morning...for the kids, of course! ;)

Amy said...

Sorry for the delay, we just had a little corner time and talking to with the kids. Makes me want to go back to work!

fersher said...

Hi, ladies!

Lisa said...

Hey, Fersher. I want donuts now...do you have any?

Amy said...

Sorry I left them in the breakroom at work. Please excuse my stepping away again to tend to my two kids. I don't understand how some folks are able to keep up with "naysayers" on multiple boards, their own blog, bf, twitter, etc with twice that number.

PJ said...

Hi Amy, fersher, AP,
Waking up from a short nap. I too had a doughnut this morning. 2nd grader with a half birthday. Chocolate cake with glaze.

Amy said...

A nap?! What's that? :)
Hi CK! Sorry I got too busy to really think about a better response than the one I gave you oh so early this morning. Will work on it tonight unless I have to play bad mom again.

PJ said...

If Jill is here - I'm so sorry about the tragedy with your student. I'll be thinking about your school and community a lot as you face this.

Amy said...

I'd also like to thank whoever hooked me up with the under1000braincells thing...Bella, maybe? Craziness!

PJ said...

Amy - and Emily makes pizza pockets too! She uses a different recipe than JM.

There's a thread on BF about emily.

PJ said...

Amy - don't worry about it -

You too, one day, will probably be able to take a nap after work.

Amy said...

CK,
I looked at some of Emily's recipes. No thanks. I'd make and eat texas caviar before I ever tried that paneer that Emily made. Disgusting. I'm really a food blog person, and their posts on food make my stomach turn.

Damn the BF. I refuse to go there. Please don't make me!!!

PJ said...

Amy - you can't really call them recipes, can you.

Let me save you - a couple BFers think she's the best thing since sliced gloodles. The rest, well, let's just say the most popular adjective being used is "interesting".

Amy said...

CK, you've just given me hope for the future. "After work" now is more activity than I see in an 8-9 hour workday, with an hour's drive thrown in there. I will just keep telling myself "one of these days, you can nap...then you won't fall asleep during men's figure skating".

Amy said...

Ok, is this on JM's BF? Because how can you exalt a mommy blogger who crams her family, Brad, and Therese into the tiny apt they have, feeding them a bunch of shit, and at the same time love JM who is living WAAAAAY beyond her means? Seriously? That is quite the contradiction. Interesting is a word my mom uses when she doesn't want to tell you how she really feels.

PJ said...

Amy,
Who are Brad and Therese? Does she have some homeless people living there too?

Have you been to her real blog? under1000permonth?

PJ said...

And Dan's blog?
http://rantofdan.blogspot.com/

Funny - it's SOOOOO out there, it has me thinking all three are a scam. For clicks. And Blogher $$.

I've always wondered about the anti mck blogs - because they drive traffic to JM's mess of a life, perhaps she's involved in some way.

"Let's see, I'll invite my snarkiest, most emotionally unstable friend to start an Anti-Me blog".

Isn't that the epitome of Narcissism?

Although the moderater of mwop seems to be a bit more grounded than some of the others we've seen.

Amy said...

Brad is the stuffed dog suspended in the bathroom. Therese is who/what they've named their kefir culture for making homemade soft drinks...I think? Hell, I don't know what they're doing with those things, but I can tell you I sure as hell wouldn't drink that (or anything she makes), or even think about making it.

Yes, I've read the under1000permonth...whoa. Craziness. And the kid's room...depressing. I haven't read rant of dan...perhaps I should! Can he spell "lettus"?

PJ said...

rant of dan is so incredible, that it hardly seems possible.

Ah, Brad.....

And name your kefir starter? I wonder if she had a contest for that.

Amy said...

Who knows? Perhaps it is the daughter Dan won't give her because he has no x chomosomes available since it appears he's using them all for himself?

PJ said...

I heard from my niece on the Mercy Ship. She's working hard and laughing hard. Sounds like they have a fabulous group of nurses and medical staff.

She's scrubbed down x-ray and CT rooms, stripped and re-waxed wood flooring, painted particle board for the floors of the admissions tents, played host at a reception for bigwigs, planned an "open house" for the rest of the crew to tour the medical facilities.

Patients start coming next Wednesday.

They only get a 2 minute shower. With not very warm water.

Amy said...

CK, that is exciting! She is making a difference and saving lives, literally! Sucks about the short lukewarm showers, though...

kristin said...

Well we ended up going to dinner. LM was really good, he is so friendly and says hi to everyone.

Then I picked up his prescription that I dropped off at 4:30 - said it would be ready in an hour. I went in at 7:45 and they didn't have it ready. I.HATE.THAT!

How is everyone?

kristin said...

Oh and AP - you can look all you want but I play co-ed and most of the girls are straight. You would have a better time at football, I definitely was the minority. I actually got my ass smacked twice in the first game I played, I was quite flattered and surprised, it was fun. I miss football.A LOT!

PJ said...

I'm good, Kristin. Enjoying being a bum.

I think everyone else is out curling.

PJ said...

How was LM's follow-up appointment?

kristin said...

Hey CK! Follow up was pretty uneventful. He's not better, they want me to increase his breathing treatments but he isn't worse either.

Thanks for asking.

Is your daughter any better?

PJ said...

I talked to her this afternoon after she'd had a bit to eat and gotten hydrated. She sounded more human.

Wow, was she ever hurting last night and this a.m. - almost enough that she wanted to come home for a day or two. Hubby was ready to go pick her up at 12:30 last night.

But she decided to tough it out until he got there this morning with sick person supplies.

Oopsie Daisy said...

Just wanted to warn y'all that if you see funky things happening around here, I'm trying to figure out how to do a recipe site connected to this one. I'm sure I'll screw it up a few times before I get it right. ;-)

kristin said...

Let me know if you get it figgered out :)

CK - we always want our mommy's when we don't feel good :)

kristin said...

Oh, and I know you are busy AP but I sent you an e-mail.

Where is everyone tonight?

PJ said...

They don't like us, Kristin.

kristin said...

had to laugh out loud, they just said Apolo Ohnos dad's name - its Yuki (yuke) - which is my grandmother's dog's name - which means snow (or snowball) in Japanese - the dog is a maltese.

kristin said...

Apparently CK!

kristin said...

Hey ladies, I am exhuasted. I will see you guys tomorrow. Have a great evening!

kristin said...

CK - glad to hear about your niece. This is going to stay with her forever. Sorry about the showers though but it is a story that she can share and laugh about later too.

Goodnight ladies!

kristin said...

Goodnight ladies!

Peter Pan collars.
Not everyone can rock 'em.
Just us snexy folks.

Angie said...

Hi and night all!

Oopsie Daisy said...

*** new post up ***

Fuck that recipe link thing for the night. Grrr.
