Ewwww. Just ewwww.

"When the diaper is removed, any solids are shaken into the toilet. Then the diaper is hand scrubbed in the bathroom sink. If there are no solids, it is immediately rinsed. The wonderwash acts as the diaper pail until the end of the day when I wash the load. The wonderwash is perfect as it will do a small load. I hand wring diapers before hanging them to dry."

It was a 4.3. If my son had woken me up 20 minutes earlier I probably would have felt it. I can sleep on a picket fence during a tornado.

Robin in Montana said...

Good morning -- haven't read to catch up yet.

LISA!!!! Did you see your Captain Harris from Deadliest Catch died??

Robin in Montana said...

Oh. :::looks subdued::: I see it was already mentioned. My bad.

kristin said...

RiM - she mentioned it this morning.

So sad :(

kristin said...

Morning RiM!

Robin in Montana said...

My whole face feels like I've been punched directly in the face, repeatedly. My eyes hurt, my nose and upper lip are half the size of the state of Montana with cold sores.
Ack.

And my dad called and his truck is broken down in Missouri somewhere with a blown engine, repairs estimated at minimum of $10,500.

I'm definitely not going to be the life of any parties today.

Angie said...

Dang, RiM, sorry you are having a bad day. $10,500 for a truck repair? Holy heck.

Anonymous said...

Hi all!

It's freezing here and total chaos on the roads. Apparently, it didn't occur to the authorities of this dear country of mine that snow ought to be removed from the highways.

I couldn't even get to class on time. I was stuck on the highway for two and a half hours (drive usually takes 20 minutes).

RiM- Ouch. It sounds like sinusitis.

Robin in Montana said...

SW - I shouldn't have said repair. It needs a whole new enginge.

My friend that I posted the video of her boyfriend racing that bike in New Zealand? Has a video up on her FB page of herself bungee jumping off a bridge there. I swear I got so nervous looking at it that I got some gray hairs. lol.

Anonymous said...

Rim- And wow on the repairs. That's outrageously expensive!

twirldawg said...

RiM what kind of truck is it? I'm assuming it's a big truck from the cost and not a pick up.

Anonymous said...

SW- I <3 the post on photoshopping on MWoP!!!

kristin said...

RiM - ouch and ouch! That sucks! ON a happy note....I have something for you - just have to box it up :)

Angie said...

Hi Corinne! Two and a half hours? Wow. I hope you didn't have to pee. I immediately have to pee whenever I'm stuck in traffic. :-)

RiM, bungee jumping freaks me out too. It would take at least four big guys to pry my fingers off the bridge and throw me over! No chance in hell I'd ever go willingly.

kristin said...

Corinne - that sucks. I too would have to pee.

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- Me, either. I swear I was backing up in my chair just watching. lol. She also said that you could choose how far into the water you wanted to go -- she said just to her fingertips. HOw do the gauge that? I guess that's one time when it'd pay to be totally honest about your weight? lol.

Jill -- it's a pickup truck, but some big monstrosity Dodge dually 4x4 thing, with the Cummings diesel motor.

Kristin -- Yay! I think I've screwed around once again too long and missed your sister's free shipping thing.

Anonymous said...

Hey SW! Actually, I did have to pee :p It didn't help that I was stressed out about obviously having to miss this morning's class (and today's only class).

I hate, hate, hate Belgian authorities.

Robin in Montana said...

How do THEY gauge that? I have to stop drinking and typing in the morning. :-D

Robin in Montana said...

Also? Megan just posted this on SIPS. Bacon explosion? What's not to like?

http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/

kristin said...

RiM - I think all of February is 10% off - which is pretty much covers the cost of shipping.

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin -- Yes, I did see that on her website, so hopefully I can get my butt in gear prior to the end of February. She had just sent me an email saying she was going to run free shipping for a week, too, though, but I think I missed that. Oh, well. I'm a slacker. :-)

Angie said...

Holy crap. That bacon explosion? Yum.

Anonymous said...

OT- Have any of you seen "The lovely Bones"? A friend asked me if I wanted to go and I'm pondering my decision. Is the movie any good?

I liked the book alright- nothing earth-shattering but still a nice read.

Angie said...

I haven't seen the movie. I agree that the book was good. The movie has had mixed reviews. Rotten Tomatoes has it at only 36%, which isn't good. I'd watch it on DVD or cable, but I wouldn't go to the theater for it. Go see Avatar again! ;-)

Robin in Montana said...

Corinne -- I thought the book was just okay, too, not as great as it was made out to be. I know there's a huge uproar over the movie leaving out the sexual abuse/rape scenario, which some feel is very important to the whole story.

Anonymous said...

SW & RiM - Thanks. I'll ask if we can go see something else then and I'll rent the Lovely Bones when it's out on DVD.

RiM- I, too, think the whole rape/abuse story is important to the whole story. I know that George Harvey could just be another serial killer but the fact that he's also a serial rapist ads a dimension to his character, IMO. That's weird that they would leave that aspect out.

SW- Noooo! Not Avatar!

Robin in Montana said...

I want to see that movie ... shoot, can't think of the name of it. Has Leonardo DiCaprio ... about the prison? GEez, I can't think straight this morning at *all.

Angie said...

LOL Corinne. I really liked it and want to see it again, just to see the special effects. The battle scenes bored me.

Robin in Montana said...

Hannah wants us to take her to see it. That kid can hardly sit through an episode of iCarly, so I don't really think Avatar would work out for us!

Anonymous said...

SW- I agree that the special effects were impressive but nothing beyond that. The story was predictable and the battle scenes b-o-r-i-n-g!

RiM- Yeah, Avatar's definitely not for her then.
RE: Leonardo DiCaprio movie: is it Shutter Island? I'm *so going to see that!
Dennis Lehane's novel was great!

Robin in Montana said...

Yes, Shutter Island. That looks ... amazing. Scary. I'll probably need a lot of comforting from Kelly. ::cackle::

Lisa said...

Sarah, I"m sorry you didn't get more answers about Potato. That stinks.

RinM, I think we should all hold our daisies at half-mast in honor of Captain Phil today. I did get over my odd crush but I still liked him an awful lot. And your dad's truck - HIS NEW TRUCK? Holy mother of God!

Anonymous said...

Sarah- Glad to hear the potato's procedure went fine. I hope the docs will figure his digestive issues out :)

RiM- The book was scary. It made me feel claustrophobic. You'll definitely need comforting from Kelly ;-)

I think Dennis Lehane has lots of talent.

Have you read Mystic River?

Lisa said...

""Small Fry" is well-known in person for her unibrow. But no one on her mother's blog has ever seen it."

That's it, I'm going to officially follow MWoP.
You know, after I put on dry drawers.

Angie said...

Hi Sarah and AP!

Potato is such a cute nickname and he's such a cute kid. What musicals are you watching. I was raised on musicals. My Dad loves them and instilled in us an appreciation for classics like Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, Singin' in the Rain, and the like.

Angie said...

LOL Right, AP? It cracked me up!

Angie said...

Hey, how was the bacon dip, AP?

kristin said...

Seriously ladies, I'm debating if I should bite the bullet and pay $300.00 for a new laptop.....I don't want to but I need it to *look for another job and talk to you guys at night.

My BIL found this one:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+Aspire+Laptop+with+AMD+Athlon%26%23153%3B+Single-Core+Processor/9555769.p?skuId=9555769&productCategoryId=pcmcat196200050013&id=1218127632130

So frustrating!

Anonymous said...

Oh, AP, that quote was fantastic!

Lisa said...

SW, I wound up not making it. I needed to get a few of the items from the store and had a dead battery. Again. I plan on getting the things today and making it tomorrow. I'm inappropriately anxious to try it.

God, that blog post was funny. I wonder who the hell is doing this?

Anonymous said...

Kristin- I know *nothing about computers so I wouldn't be any help. I think buying a new one might be a good idea in the long run.

(By "I know *nothing about computers", I mean I just bought a new one - a dell - and all I was excited about was picking the color - it's blue btw. Pathetic, right? :p )

Robin in Montana said...

Sarah -- Sorry you aren't getting more answers for Potato. Poor little guy.

Lisa - I'll hold my daisies at half mast today.

And yes, the new truck. Well, not the new, new truck, since he got peeved and traded it in on this truck, which is also relatively new, but had a pantload of miles on it.

Kristin -- that seems like a decent deal. You'll probably be happy you just bit the bullet and did it, if you do.

Corinne - I have not read Mystic River. Good?

Angie said...

AP, Whoever it is said that some people have guessed who she/he is. I bet if you went back and read from the beginning, you could figure it out. You are a good sleuth.

Anonymous said...

Oh and by *I just bought, I mean my parents bought me ;)

Angie said...

I haven't read Mystic River but the movie was fantastic. It haunted me, in a non-demonic way.

Angie said...

Kristin, I agree that laptop seems like a good deal. If you can afford it, buy it. We need you at night! :-)

Anonymous said...

RiM- Mystic River was great. Both the book and the movie were great - which is rare enough to be mentioned.

Anonymous said...

I have to log off. Might come back later but if not, see you tomorrow! :)

Lisa said...

Kristin, I think that seems like a good deal, too. If you can, I say just go for it. If you can ever get your old one fixed, you could sell it or have a backup.

Angie said...

Bye Corinne!

Robin in Montana said...

AP-Lisa -- it seems high to me, but I have no idea what a motor and subsequent installation of it should be? I don't know. The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach.

I did read at MWOP and I don't agree with all the squawking about it being so "wrong" to post pics of her kids. She does it all the time and all the people she meets at her meetup thingies take pics of her kids and post them on their blogs. It's not like I sent Lisa a pic of my kid in email and she posted it on a blog, you know?

Just read the under 1000 braincells blog with the spoofing of Emily's Valentine's Day gift ideas -- very, very funny. Tube meat flowers.

Corinne - I will check out Mystic River. I've been on a reading dry spell lately. Nothing is appealing to me at all.

Angie said...

<--- Glad there is no hell too!

RiM, have you read The Secret History, by Donna Tartt? Pretty much my all time favorite book, and super easy to get into.

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- No, I haven't. I have it written down now!

Robin in Montana said...

I entered the "Word Nerd" contest on PW's site and I'm just about certain I'm going to win a Kindle, so I'll need book ideas. :-D

Angie said...

Oh, Robin, I swear you will absolutely love the book. I'm excited!

Shannon said...

Ok so anyone reading at MWOP today...do you think that the anon poster talking about Won and OHIH is really Krista and she is now going to reopen OHIH?

The whole surprise thing is making me want to laugh till I pee my panties!!

Angie said...

I'm reading, Shannon! It's good stuff!

Shannon said...

Now this is sooooo GM....she even made a blog post about such things so this just cracks me the F up HAHAHAHA

"Shannon, no one cares about you. You're one ugly fat woman who is tattoo'd all over. I couldn't even follow you before as I was afraid my family would wonder who the heck that white trash was with a fat ugly bald husband.

So yeah...I wouldn't worry if I were you. You're a nobody."

Robin in Montana said...

LOL - I am reading at MWOP. Killing me. Sorry I can't hang out with you any more now that it's been confirmed you are a nobody, Shannon! I wasn't at OHIH long enough to really get to know anyone who never made it on over to SIP, so I have no guesses about Krista.

Shannon said...

Damn me I had to go to the halfway house and check....wouldnt you know that Bri has a discussion started about how those on MWOP need to get a life...I had to comment back about how she had to make sure to post something and post as ANON on this awful site LMAO

kristin said...

Bri sure does like to throw out legal threats, doesn't she?

Sad, sad lady!

Shannon said...

She is so damn pathetic Kristin. Seriously maybe she needs to spend some quality time with the grands or something.

Oopsie Daisy said...

Psssst! So that everyone knows, I just broke a promise and deleted some posts. I removed all with Bok Bok's name in them so she can post here using it safely. I'm very sorry, I hope everyone understands why but now that it's confirmed she runs MWoP, it seemed safest. No info was actually lost in the deletions, though...only her name. I'm just going to refer to the person who runs MWoP as Bok Bok now. Carry on!

Shannon said...

Good idea admin!!

Lisa said...

Shannon, I'm glad you aren't mad since the last one was yours confirming who it was. Two were my own and one was SW's but I'll give her kissies to make up for it. ;-) That's all I took off, though.

Shannon said...

Nope I am glad you did because as this blog is public I seriously dont want to see backlash coming to that person via what was said here.

suz said...

Holy crap! active day here and there! Just like the old days..lol minus a few of the nuts.

Lisa said...

Sarah, you'll have mail in a minute. :-)

*pumps fist in the air, being able to say that*

kristin said...

You go AP! LMFAO

suz said...

Bok Bok...the light dawns..cool.

kristin said...

I think anon @ 11:01 is Sue!

Shannon said...

ROFLMAO GM deleted the discussion about MWOP where I responded to her about posting anon too damn funny

Sorry

Angie said...

Where did Bok Bok own up to running the site? All I saw was Bok Bok confirming that he/she was posting. And why would we want to protect Bok Bok. He/she completely dissed us. Hmph.

Lisa said...

GrammieMommy is a lying, conniving blog whore. And someone told me she sounds like a...um...nail salon person, too. Not that I guess that matters, but I figured I'd throw it out there while I'm at it. :-D

Lisa said...

SW, I'll protect anyone who is that good at snark. Snark heals many wounds. *nods*

kristin said...

I was going to say on MWoP - pot meet kettle but I'm afraid that something similar would happen as it did on OHIH. I feel a little *safer here, although I really shouldn't.

Just sayin'!

Lisa said...

Oh, heck, I took Shannon's word that Bok Bok was running it. Shannon, did you lead me wrong?

twirldawg said...

Kristin I feel the same way. I don't want the backlash.

It's fun to lurk over there though.

Shannon said...

I have owned up to it as SIPS I will own up to it here.....I really have missed the snark and drama that OHIH brought to us....I however will never miss the things that Krista did and said.

Shannon said...

AP did you misunderstand me? I think when I said it was confirmed that I was referring to BOK BOK being an anon poster not necessarily the admin LOL

Shannon said...

LOL I thought you had some other info that I missed somewhere

Lisa said...

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Goddammit, Shannon, we need to do better than this...lol. Now I'm doubly sorry about the deletes. Y'all can slap me, it's okay.

Shannon said...

LMAO AP we suck!!!!!

suz said...

Lol..You still don't know for sure bok bok is not running it. Safe move anyway IMHO.

and you two don't suck but ya are funny!

Lisa said...

On this one? Yes, we do. No one is ever going to pick us for their teams now. :-P

Angie said...

::Slapping AP::

Bok Bok is Fersher, everybody! :-D

Lisa said...

No, we don't know, Suz. Oh, I'm just so confused now...dammit.

Shannon said...

Me and AP will be playing dodge ball all by ourselves away from the cool kids

LMAO

Lisa said...

I don't even know how to play dodge ball...

suz said...

Shannon, don't hurt your selves with that rubber ball..hahahaha.

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, I'm out for now. Had fun this morning!

kristin said...

bye RiM!

Rebecca said...

Ya'll are hilarious! I feel like the nerd trying to run with the in crowd :)

Lisa said...

Rebecca, you must be joking...lol. In crowd? us?

Rebecca said...

I'll go on record saying I've missed the banter too!

kristin said...

I miss it too....and I was trying to banter with SW but she wasn't playing :(

Robin in Montana said...

Why must I argue? lol. I don't give one rat's *ass about JM, yet I'm over at MWOP arguing that it's pointless to devote an entire blog to just hating her. Obiously WAAAYYY too much time on my hands.

Angie said...

I'm sorry Kristin! I didn't mean to not play with you. You're just jealous because you have laptop envy. :-)

kristin said...

I was just playing SW!

Yes, I have laptop envy!

Angie said...

By the way, RiM, you definitely are a mouthy broad! In a good way!

kristin said...

Mouthy broads are good in my book too :)

Heather said...

ugh. sucked back into it all. LOL! took me all day yesterday to catch up at mwop, well that and taking care of sick kids.

and then i was getting caught up at the under1000braincells, but that took second place.

haven't been to any of my other normal internet stops.

what is it about these blogs that are so darn addicting? i don't get it. but it's got me.

and i confess my friends live in my computer. LOL

kristin said...

Heather, I'm right there with you ...and so going through withdrawals when I get home.

Shit...I did laundry and cleaned my closet yesterday...wth is this world coming to?

lol

Lisa said...

Heather, I'm sucked in, too. I"m bribing myself...mop the kitchen, 15 minutes online. Mop the dining room, another 15 minutes. I need an intervention.

Robin in Montana said...

Not me. I can walk away any time. ::avoids eye contact:::

Anonymous said...

AP--I do the same thing except everytime I go past the computer I do a little refresh. lol

Shannon said...

LOL I dont think I need an intervention....ok maybe a little one but somehow I still manage to get dishes done and laundry and dinner on the table and homework so it cant be too bad.

Anonymous said...

I just want to thank Corrine for the 1000braincells...it's my good morning laugh now.

And MWOP, oh how I love me some snark!

Lisa said...

"AP--I do the same thing except everytime I go past the computer I do a little refresh. lol"

Crap. I feel like I just got caught.

Oopsie Daisy said...

*** new post up ***

I really am out for awhile this time. See y'all later!

Anonymous said...

AP--BUSTED. I really do that. I will clean a room for 15 and justify having a "little" break. I make sure I pass the computer a few (dozen) times and hit the old F5. LOL

kristin said...

ewww, no fun CC!

You can *talk all you want here! :)
