White Trash or Redneck?

I say this is just plain ol' redneck since everyone was decently dressed, the kids wore helmets, I saw no pit bulls or guns and there was no beer in sight.  However,  I know that to many, the line that blurs redneck and white trash is pretty fine so this video counts.   Besides, it just looks like way too much fun to not include.  :-)   There's not much point in guessing on this one since it's pretty obvious,  but I'll not give it away in case someone misses the big clue.  Enjoy!

And please....remember to help Chris.  One more month and he'll be in a far better place if we can just get him through this month!

(edit:  I just realized that the "big clue" isn't obvious here so guess away!)

SW, that's something I always have to remind myself of - count my blessings and enjoy the momnet.

Like I unintentionally keep a running list of some of the worst thing I've ever did or said, and those things come back too easily. Like the time I cut in line at a funeral. ::flushing::

Angie said...

thing = things. That wasn't the worst thing I ever did. But it's on the list I keep in my head.

Angie said...

Time for the winner! Not spoiling it!

SW-I cling a lot to the good, because the bad is so heavy I need to find the good and use it sort of like a shield. To keep me safe from just, puddling. Puddling is my term for when I just melt down and cry and can't do anything, or think of anything and become very depressed.

I use music a lot, when I get really sick I will say the lyrics over and over to myself so that I can feel grounded and stable, it gives me a focus.

Angie said...

Do you like Indigo Girls, Kay? I love their music and find it very positive.

PJ said...

Kay - that sounds like a really good way to stay focused on hanging on.

Really Frugal said...

Kay, I'm glad music can help a bit. You have such a tough path.

Angie said...

Lots of confetti

Angie said...

Okay, guys, I'm out. Thanks so much for not letting on that my blog-hogging was annoying! Night!

Erin said...

SW- I just got my ipod to finally play in the car. And listened to Indigo Girls all morning.

Kay- I am sorry you have to go through this. It's not fair.

PJ said...

Kay,
I listen to the same song over and over again, until I know the words by heart. Good thing I usually drive to school alone.

Really Frugal said...

At the end I really had no preference who won - they both are so talented and likeable with good stories. and they will probably both be stars.

It's been fun, ladies. I need to go watch the Magic beat the Celtics. See you in the morning.

Hi All!
Busy around here tonight. What's everyone up to?

Just felt sick watching the AI guys sing and with Hall and Oates. Just about killed me. I'm a die hard H&O fan.

. said...

Has anyone heard from BD and Bella? Haven't seem them around for a while. Hope they're OK!

Life full of bRATS said...

Sw- I'll definetly look them up.

Ck- It is, I think at least part of this battle is a mental one.

RF- ((Hugs)) You take a step forward, you take a breath and you count everything you have to stay for.

Kidlet story, so my cousin visited a bit back, and my youngest son just LOVED hanging out with him (my only son.. really) and when he left, Ry cried and cried. After telling him Jesse was coming back a bunch, he said "But what about the horsie?" Come to find, he didn't really like Jesse he liked jesse's horse. ;) We have horses, but I guess he just liked that one best.

PJ said...

Sweet story, Kay. Did Jesse's horse come back to visit?

Life full of bRATS said...

Not yet, but he will have to bring Levi back. That's for sure.

Tara. said...

Surprised at the winner of AI, but was OK either way.

Life full of bRATS said...

Tara- ..was ok either way ;p You made me giggle, since I pictured someone NOT being ok with the winner and throwing a huge fit. I picture a fat guy with a bowl of popcorn going "WTF.. who the fuck? Brittney blears is SO much better than Jackson Timbersnake.. OMG. I can't believe this is happening." I picture hysterical sobbing from a 40 something man... maybe my imagination should stop now ;)

Tara. said...

LOL Kay. I just meant I liked both of them, Crystal a little bit more. She will definitely get a record deal for sure. She's mega talented.

Ahh, I'm not a huge tv watcher. I watch trueblood marathons though.

PJ said...

Kay - what's a trueblood marathon?

Life full of bRATS said...

Trueblood is a tv show, it's part porno part drama. I say part porn because I've yet to see an episode without a rather graphic sex scene. There's been some orgies too, so it's not for young kiddos.. or even kiddo's below 18 >.< Heck even then ;p But it's my favorite thing to watch and so I watch it on "On demand" tv all the time. It's also about vampires.

I told my young freshman English teacher that I like the Indigo Girls and it took me years to figure out why I got a puzzled look and the, "YOU, like the Indigo Girls?" question.

twirldawg said...

I love TrueBlood.

PJ said...

Graphic sex scenes for adults to watch - when well done - okay with me.

Vampires - have not gotten on that bandwagon.

Hi gals :) How's things in this trashy neck of the woods? :D

PJ said...

Bella - speak your name and you appear. Magic.

I'm tired. I'm tired of weeding, watering, weed whacking, trimming hedges, planting flowers, etc. It's only May, and my yard still looks like a jungle. I need to quit my job and hire myself as the resident landscaper.

How are you doing, CK?

. said...

Hi Bella! Was just axin' where you have been. :o)

PJ said...

Bella, I'm good - recovering from my late night at Carole King and James Taylor concert last night.

I'm not tired of any what you're doing. I'm not a gardener.

Anonymous said...

James Taylor is super-bald. That's about all the info I've got on him :) I hope you had a good time, CK.

Hi Tara :) I've not been online much. I've been outside most of the week, and we are going to go camping this weekend!

. said...

Have fun camping! I am soooo not a camping person. Mr. Tara is so excited to take the 2 older kids this summer though.
Sorry you've been having to do so much yard work. Yuck!

. said...

Has anyone seen that movie Valentine's Day? Is it worth renting? Looks cute.

Muliebrity said...

so where the heck is FT?

PJ said...

Bella - yup, but what he's missing on the top of his head he makes up for with his voice.

. said...

What?? Brett Michaels performed on AI tonight? Wasn't he just in the ICU last week? Crazy.

Anonymous said...

Is FT done with school, or maybe she is getting close? Dunno.

Anonymous said...

Bret Michaels has nine lives, lol!

. said...

I dunno. A few regular peeps have been missing. :o(

. said...

I guess so, Bella! Maybe he had a case of McKinney? Check out of the ICU and go straight away to someplace fabulous. LOL

. said...

This finale totally sucks. I've FF through most of it, I just want to see (blank's) face when he/she wins.

Lee performing with Chicago now. Oh, they are so witty. You know, cuz he's from Chicago. It's dreadful.

Anonymous said...

Haha, Tara, what if Bret Michaels showed up at Matt Logelin's backyard, like Mck did one time after they got discharged. LMAO!

. said...

Well, he's of higher caliber. So, her Matt party=his AI appearance.

LOL!!

. said...

SHUT.UP.
Now William Hung is on stage.

Lord, help us all.

Anonymous said...

OK ladies, off to bed for me. Another day at work awaits :)

. said...

I'm off to bed too.

Goodnight Bella and all!

Life full of bRATS said...

Can I just say as someone who's been in the ICU multiple times, you're usually discharged with orders for rest, and for a really 'low key' time afterwards. I think MCK just never did give a damn about stellan, honestly.

Life full of bRATS said...

Night bella!

Life full of bRATS said...

Yay :D I killed it..

Still catching up, but I'm here! I've been in and out tonight actually. Nope, not done school, that would be Jill.

::jealous::

I go right to June 30. Next week we start with standardized testing Grades 3 and 6 both of which I teach. And I'm also getting into high gear for report cards, so I'm not on real often but I do check in via BlackBerry while I'm out and about or taking a break or eating lunch.

Hi Kay! I haven't chattd with you in a while!

Hi Mulie and anyone else still on! It's after midnight here and I"m going to log out soon!

I can't contribute to the AI discussion, unfortunately! Same goes for any discussions of Lost, DWTS, Survivor whatever else is on. Ask me about any Law & Order (but UK) or Ghost Whisperer or Cold Case and I'm your man.

Strangest thing... I got an invite to my cousin's wedding in FL or her reception the following weekend in St Louis. I responded that we would be attending the reception in St Louis and there would be 5 of us, including our 3 little ones. They asked for dinner selections for the FL wedding, but not for the STL reception, but I figured they were probably just having a buffet. My Aunt just sent me a FB message saying that she got my response and this is what she said:

"the Casa Loma (where the reception is being held) is a dance hall, not sure if kids allowed...you could call and check"

Isn't that odd? Why wouldn't they know that already and why wouldn't they say adults only or only babies on laps? There are lots of littles on both sides of the family.

My sister and I also planned our babies' Christenings the following morning so out of town family members could attend. I find it odd they they would not be expecting us to bring our kids.

Nilia said...

Mulie: I'm a real stickler at going to events where my children are not welcomed. Having said that they could have included that on the invite (I *have received invites which stated no children allowed).

There's a Casa Loma in St. Louis? There's a Casa Loma (castle) in Toronto too! Weird!

Nilia said...

I should say at *not going to events where my children are not welcomed. I am not a fan of this new trend.

Nilia said...

Damn these late hours I keep.

Okay, goodnight everyone!

Muliebrity said...

The Casa Loma is a ballroom/dance hall and I would think private parties can do whatever they want. I just feel like they should already know the answer. I will be traveling from out of town with a newborn and a 2 and 4 year old and my in town baby sitters are all invited to the reception. What do they expect?

Muliebrity said...

Glad to see you are still with us, FT. I was worried about you!

Finally caught up for the day and seems as if everyone is heading off to bed - thats always my luck!

I loved the AI finale - Thought it was very cool that Paula came back, even though I swear she's *on* something! I love Ellen.. Loved that they had all those former contestants - Thought the Alanis Morrisette thing was great - I also LOVE Jagged Little Pill! Was not thrilled with the winner, but know that the runner up will have a great career!!

By the way SW I did like the Lost ending, at first I was like HUH? But the more I thought about it, the more I *get* it and the more I like it... Just like Lost writers to get you thinking, they did it through the entire show I think, so the finale fit with keeping you thinking and leaving things up to your interpretation!

LFoB I think you have SUCH a great sense of humor - and hate that you are physically not feeling well so often - but I agree that your family is glad to have YOU no matter what!!

I sat in the sun today and yesterday - and listened to Indigo Girls - the song Closer to Fine is the best - I love the way they sound!

Was shocked at what Kelly Clarkson looked like tonight! Lillith Fair is going to be in this area in July and we really wanted to go - now besides Sarah MacClaughlin (SP??) Kelly Clarkson will be at the one in our town, and I am so looking forward to seeing/hearing her!

Hmm, not much else new - Saw Riley today - he has green/black/blue raised small bump still on his forehead and he told (motioned and acted out mostly) how he got that booboo - and was correct on the exact railing that he pointed out to me where he went BOOM.. it was cute and sad at the same time! And I played with the kitties there tonight too - they are getting so cute, I have some new pictures from a few days ago - will send to AP - she can post when she's done with her white trash photos!

Speaking of white trash, I also lived in a trailer with 3 kids, 2 cats and a husband, youngest was 2 when we moved to our new house, which was a pre-manufactured home - basically a trailer that came in two sections completely built and finished, but we put it on a basement, built a 2 1/2 car garage and it was on an acre lot... I loved that house - ex kept it in divorce...

So anyone up?

Muliebrity said...

I'm up but am going in a few. Maybe.
