Um, hi. Can y'all gather 'round, please?

Pardon my mid-evening interruption but, by popular request,  I've got an announcement/request/plea to make of you all.    *dons the hairband with bunny ears*

Beginning now, in an effort to restore some normalcy around this place, I'd like to ask everyone to make no further mention at all of any "WoP" blog of any type and also no further mention of anyone we suspect of owning/running/or being involved in them.  No exceptions, please - no mention.  I really believe this is going to be a good move for all the Daisies, as much as I hate limiting any speech.  If we don't poke, perhaps we won't get poked back.  Deal?

And here's the special part - if you do it anyway, I'm actually going to delete it.
Ummhmmm, I really will, because I'm big and bad and have possession of the magic hairbands!

That's it and thanks for not throwing eggs at me.

*bows to what I just know will be a standing ovation*

And Pinky swear!

Lol, Mulie...so scary, I know.

Margaret, sure. What would you like to know?

Sandy said...

AP- you did say you were wearing bunny ears and Margaret is askeered of them.

Lisa said...

Oh, Margaret, I'm so sorry. I'll get rid of them.

manda said...

Sounds good to me.

I feel like doing absolutely nothing tonight. Feeling oogie.

We're watching Elmo in Grouchland, I know y'all are jealous. :)

manda said...

killed it :(

manda said...

Anyone feel like cooking dinner for me? It would be *MUCH* appreciated!

Sandy said...

Hi CM-I can almost repeat that darn movie word for word. Ugh. Thankfully, the movie met it's demise.

Margo said...

Never mind, it's not really important. I have really enjoyed all of you girls and I wish you the best. I've had enough of the games, the nasty e-mails and for several weeks now waiting for the other shoe to drop. If I can't come here and talk about that - then really what's the point. So, thanks for giving me this little spot to come for a while :)

manda said...

Awww, Margaret. I'm really sad to see you go, I feel like we just met. Big, ole frowny face. Totally understood, though.

Anonymous said...

Margaret, please don't leave :(

manda said...

Sandy, well, it's a new one for us. I, however, have had enough of Abby in Wonderland, Elmo and the Bookaneers, Play with me Sesame(which, hi! sounds kind of dirty) and even the halloween ones which we watch year round. Vanessa Williams is rocking it!

Mulie - how would it help the economic situation?

So glad you asked.

If gay marriage were allowed, I believe some of the massive amounts of gay mens (the gay men I don't know and lesbians too) I know would want to throw themselves mega weddings. Followed by lavish receptions. They, of course will register for lovely things and plan exotic honeymoons.

So we have the food and beverage industry covered,

hotel and hospitality covered

the retail sector covered

travel and tourism covered

heath care covered

Economic crisis solved. The End.

KaytieJ said...

Well, Effing A....here I was back at the other post flinging ranch dressing all around!!!

AP - I KNEW you kept that pink taffeta bound banning wand under your Gauguin ;-D

I am MORE than happy to comply. RF and I were having a friendly chatter about Gay Marriage, having a beer and chicken wings.

KaytieJ said...

Margaret? Please don't go. we shall miss you.

Muliebrity said...

But Margaret! I just saved the economy! There will be world peace and gold bricks for us all!

twirldawg said...

Gay weddings would be FAB-U-LOUS!

manda said...

Mulie, awesome point and well said!

Being the liberal half of a liberal/conservative household, I really love hearing, or reading, so much support for gay marriage. I'm all for it, and if my baby is gay, I sure as hell want her to get married so I can cry like a jackass at her wedding.

Muliebrity said...

Damn blogger! How do I erase comments?

Muliebrity said...

Blogger is effing with me.

KaytieJ said...

Mulie - I think you just solved a whole bunch of problems instead of just the economy!!!

Margo said...

It's not a big deal really. As soon as the games started I should have left. I don't play games, I don't appreciate having had myself, my job and my family threatened. And if I can't even talk about it here then really what's the point. Take care girls and especially dear Chris :)

Muliebrity said...

It would at least stimulate the economy. I *may have been exaggerating the likelihood of *fixing the economy.

Muliebrity said...

Margaret, Think about it before you bow out. I can understand your frustration, but AP has a point about ignoring the situation and if Daisies continue to be trashed, I sure AP *may be willing to adjust the rules.

THANK YOU! I've been hoping everyone would just ignore the "wop" blogs and carry on.

Don't go Margaret. You had lots to chat about before all this happened. I feel awful that you were caught in the middle of all of that. :o(

CM: Junk food sounds really good right now. So does Bella's chicken with some of Kaytie's ranch dressing!

. said...

How would gay marriage stimulate the economy? Lots of money spent on weddings?

manda said...

MOAR FOOOOOD STUFFS!!!

KaytieJ said...

Margaret - I think what happened to you and many others is the reason it is a good thing that AP put that up there. You have been an important part of Daisy and I hope you know that.
Many hugs.

Anonymous said...

Kaytie, can I trade you some chicken for some ranch?

manda said...

This snacking started out healthy, hummus (HUMMUS!), pitam chicken, veggies, watermelon and has somehow morphed into Cap'n'Crunch Oops! All berries cereal. Where did I go wrong?

manda said...

Tara. Weddings, traveling, gifts, you name it. C'mon now, we all know gays throw fabulous parties.

KaytieJ said...

Thank you Bella, I think we're gonna need it.
::whipping up more Ranch dressing:::
Celery anyone?

twirldawg said...

Margaret don't go :(

CM I've been on a junk food kick myself. I feel gross, but can't stop!

Stupid depression eating.

Really Frugal said...

I love the economic angle. Have you ever figured out how much a wedding really costs when you count guests' and attendants' traveling, lodging, apparel and gifts, all the showers with travel for that and on and on. My daughter's rather modest wedding had to pump $30 K into the economy with all the guest's expenses. I figure it's easily three times the actual cost of the wedding.

manda said...

I had this grand plan of a crash diet before the work thing next week. You know, skip the nightly bowl of sugary cereal and snack on like, carrots and stuff. Maybe tonight will be my last night of delicious, delicious junk food. Then, crack down tomorrow.

Muliebrity said...

Lots of weddings and same sex spouses could now get onto each others insurance. And think of all the lawyers that will make a killing when gay divorces start getting filed.

Angie said...

No more Margaret? Fucking terrorists. :-(

Really Frugal said...

Margaret, I hear what you are saying, but I'm sorry to see you go. I haven't been here long with you, but you are smart and funny and kind.

Does anyone else have this obsession that with Cap'n crunch, the milk has to be extremely cold?

Really Frugal said...

No Cap'n Crunch here. If I am going to eat ridiculously sweet anything it will need to involve lots of chocolate.

Anonymous said...

Jill, I loved The Office until Jim and Pam had a baby. Somehow that turned me off?

manda said...

Jill- Ya-whaaaa?!?! Never. Had. Cap'n'Crunch?

I'm not too particular about the milk, as long as there is some. I'd eat the whole damn box by myself. A certain conservative housemate of mine doesn't eat sugary cereal. It's like I don't even know who he is, sheesh.

KaytieJ said...

Mulie :::nodding::: And now that they are legally married they get to pool their money and have the marriage penalty. More money to the feds! Economic stimulus right there! <---ok, so I am not an accountant.

twirldawg said...

OH and I have another confession that might get me kicked out of OD.

I don't like milk in my cereal.

KaytieJ said...

Bella - NO! We want a front table! Decked out in all our fine Daisy wear. His gay peeps would look on in shock and awe :-D

Muliebrity said...

"Is blogger being a turd for anyone else?"

Did notice my multiple posts and faux-cussing out of blogger? In short, blogger is being a turd. :-)

manda said...

Jill, that's hardly a terrorist offense.

KaytieJ said...

Jill - Nope! That makes you a Daisy even more. Schlitz goes great over cereal :-D

Jill - I have Cap'n Crunch in the pantry right.now. I am usually the one that eats it! Plain or with milk.

I love, love the chip double dip Seinfeld. My sister and I re-eanact that scene whenever we drink together. Classic.

Margaret - I do think AP has a point to all of this, and it looks like we all have a million other things we can talk about besides you-know-what. Please reconsider. :)

I'm out for the night ladies, I just wanted to pop in and try to score one of those sweet headbands.

Have a great night!

Heather said...

Wait, Margaret! You can't leave! I owe you a "hi" from the other day. And I have some "reiko" (sp?) questions for you. Come back!!!

I agree with EL...Lucky Charms and Taye Diggs! Though I haven't seen him since the Ally McBeal days. I miss Ally McBeal.

Here it is the middle of the night, seems to be whenever I check in here. If anyone's awake, or sees this in the morning...got a question.

My daughter got her ears pierced a couple years ago. She LOVES earrings. But apparently has a BAD habit of pulling on her earrings. So, it looks like the holes have torn. She doesn't wear heavy earrings and only has a couple pair of dangly or hoop type which are very light and small.

I've banned her from earrings cause I'm afraid they are going to rip right through her earlobes. She's way too young for this-9 1/2. And is none too happy without her earrings.

If I don't figure something out she will likely end up with a nose or eyebrow piercing. Which is totally something *I* want to do. Except I wear glasses and that seems like it would not look good with either piercing. But that's a whole other topic.

Anyway, ideas? I got some pads that go on the back of her earlobe to help support the weight of earrings, but that isn't going to fix it. Can a doctor add some stitches to make the earring hole a hole again? Or if they are left alone will they close? I've gone a long time without using my second holes and they never closed. Hmmm...

Good morning Daisies! I hope everyone is well. Busy day here for me so I'll in on and off. Have a great morning!

Yeah, I'm sitting at my desk eating directly out of the box.

Hi everyone!

Missed me? (if you haven't just pretend otherwise ;-D) LOL

Things have been hard for me lately so I stepped away for a while.

AP - thank you for what you did.

Other than that, not many things ahve changed in Belgium. Oh yes, I'm no longer blonde. I had my hair dyed light brown this morning :-D

twirldawg said...

I *did miss you Corinne.
I figured you had a good reason for being absent, you know like real life happening and all.

Angie said...

Corinne! It's great to see you back here!

Jill, LOL re Cap'n Crunch!

Happy Friday everyone!

KaytieJ said...

Corinne! Good Morning!!! Seen any good movies lately? How are your tests going?

Jill - You make me laugh. Happy Crunching!

Margaret - I still miss you. For once I agree with Bart Simpson. TY Chris.

Erin said...

Happy Friday! The sun is trying to shine here. Off to do real life.

Corinne, how is everything? I have been thinking of you.

PS- did anyone watch private practice last night?

Anonymous said...

Hi everyone! I've missed you all :)

Jill - How many days left?

Kaytie - I have been to the movies lately :( I watched Julie and Julia yesterday but was kind of disappointed. I mean, Meryl Streep and Amy Adams were great but the movie was sort of boring :s
The tests I had this week went well, I think. ::fingers crossed::. I don't have any more until the finals start (on June 5th) :)

EL - Things are hard, especially with my grandmother going through so much. I'm happy to be back; I have missed you all.

twirldawg said...

twirldawg said...

How are your tests?

I don't watch PP either.
The Office was hilarious last night.

Angie said...

Well shoot. Roger Ebert didn't like Robin Hood, which is out today. I was hoping he would.

Anonymous said...

I love PP! Addison Montgomery was my very favorite Grey's anatomy character. (Aside from Mcdreamy but that's for other reasons ;-) )

Jill - The tests are going well. I don't have any more tests until June 5th. Yay! (though I'm ready to be done too!)

Hi Karen!
