Name the white trash(ed) Daisy!

It takes guts, sharing this for me to post.  I admire that.  *nods*
So, who is it?  The picture has a bunch of clues!

Shannon!

(Only guessing that because of the vicious dog pictured)

Muliebrity said...

I've seen this episode of House Hunters 3-4 times and I keeping meaning to ask if it was your friends, AP.

Erin said...

OMG. That is pretty brave! I think I recognize that dog.

Lisa said...

Mulie, yep, and they're tough as nails but nicer, more down to earth people you'd never want to meet, him especially.

Muliebrity said...

I liked their attitude about the step-grand kids.

Muliebrity said...

And their attitude about family in general.

Lisa said...

Me, too, and that's really how they are. It wasn't put on for TV. But I need to hush or I'll ruin my white trash status by knowing nice, successful people who bought a 1.5 million dollar house.

Karen said...

HI Daisy's! I guess that is our Shannon! Love it!! And Shannon extra points for allowing that pic to be shown!! Looks like you were having a great time!

Hope someone is still up - haven't had time to sit and chat for a few days!!

Muliebrity said...

Karen, Everyone feeling better at your house?

Also, I wish I had some cheese dip right now.

Lisa said...

{{{{Karen}}}}

How are you and how is the family? I've missed you.

Lisa said...

Oooh, cheese dip. I have cheeseburger Doritos. We could have a party if we had the dip. I'm awfully snacky tonight, I think because my house smells like pot. :-X

Muliebrity said...

Say, who, AP?

Muliebrity said...

My baby has been very quiet today, but she is moving around now. I seem to be getting contractions around this time every night for the last few days. Hope they are doing something.

Karen said...

Hi AP and Mulie! I've been trying to catch up reading when I could but have been super busy with real life! Everyone is feeling much better Mulie (knocking on wood!!) We went to the Indians game and then dinner Thursday - a local fair on Friday with 2 daughters and 2 grandsons - Sat am went to parade with all 3 of my kids and 4 of the 5 grands, then walked the fair with my son, his two boys and Tay. Then to Megan's later Sat. and were supposed to go to a racetrack Sat night but it stormed, and they cancelled the race, were sitting at Megan's trying to figure out something else to do and Riley fell head first into a rail on the porch - it swelled so big instantly and he acted very dazed and confused and stare-y and didn't even cry - freaked me out! Megan was hysterical crying, so we took him to the ER - they did a few neurological tests and said he was fine, so we went to Chucky Cheese with Megan, Riley - her step sister Kristi, her baby Autumn, my son and his two... I was exhausted! We kept Tay overnight that night... Had him all day Sunday - and then Ang came and we watched Lost last night! she left at 1 am.. and today we went to Amish country and a huge flea market, and then dinner!

Wheew.. I'm tired!!

So no babies yet, what else is new??

Karen said...

Why does your house smell like pot? did I miss something? I have a "recipe" for really good dip for tortilla chips - super easy- use a tub of sour creme, a pack of taco seasoning, a jar of salsa, and "some" shredded cheese, melt in oven til bubbly - then top with more shredded cheese and brown... SO good with chips!!

Lisa said...

Tomorrow I take Miss Arse to the eye doctor and she will hopefully get a first surgery date. Keep your eyes crossed for her, please, that she does? She's so damn tired of all this now, especially the drops. It's been months. Then Jake and I both have appointments for eye stuff later in the week, as well, and I expect bad news for us both. So, keep those eyes crossed for us, too?

Karen said...

Crossing eyes for all of you AP! Why expecting bad news for you and Jake both too? Is your mom's eye problems contagious? or hereditary? or you have just been having problems? Either way - crossing eyes, fingers AND toes for all of you!

Lisa said...

Karen, is Riley okay now? How scary! And I love Amish flea and farmers' markets! This was my favorite when we were in PA so much, although it wasn't exactly Amish. They had many Amish vendors, though. http://www.greendragonmarket.com/

My house smells like pot because I burned some old, stale nag champa incense and then lit a Village candle in Lemon. For some odd reason, that combination smells exactly like pot and I'm not the only one who noticed it. I want Karen's dip.

Muliebrity said...

That dip sounds awesome!

And why would you and Jake be getting bad news?

Muliebrity said...

I thought maybe Miss Arse got some of the "good" eye meds!

What part of the country are you in, Karen?

And my cousin got engaged yesterday and they are planning a Dec wedding in freaking Toledo!

Karen said...

Riley is fine, Megan took a pic with the camera that was in our car cause we thought we were going to the races... it was bigger than it was in the car even, before we left for the hospital, but seriously he was running, and fell, and his motion kept his body moving a big, and the first thing to hit was his head on a vertical rail of the porch... Megan had him picked up hugging him in 1.2 seconds, and as she pulled him away from her to look, I had visions of blood squirting, his skin didn't break thank goodness, but it was already swollen out from his head at least an inch, seriously... and was black! I had visions and thoughts of John Travolta's son hitting his head on the bathtub and dying... and didn't some other celebrity just recently die or their child die from a simple head bump that turned out to be a brain bleed? I saw enough and ran to the house for ice, and Megan came running behind me with Riley saying Mom, he's not crying, mom, he's not blinking, then she got hysterical crying, and I said, lets go to the ER! but he's fine now!

We were at http://www.hartvillemarketplace.com/
Hartville Flea Market... Lots of cool stuff, we bought a bunch of veggies... peppers, tomatoes, onions, its not local fresh produce yet, I can't wait for that stuff to be ready! But it was a fun way to pass the day!

Call me weird, but I actually love the smell of pot! LOL

Lisa said...

I have some weird eye issues...I have a lot of scar tissue inside 'em and it seems to come in tandem with periods of horrible headaches. It's been a problem since I was a kid and lately I've been having the headaches and my vision has worsened remarkably. I'm supposed to be seeing an ophthalmologist every three months and of course I don't...I see a regular OD once or twice a year. I suspect that's about to change. Jake has astigmatisms so severe he needs special contacts and he's in the strongest ones we can get, as of last year. He's having troubles, too. If that has worsened, he may be stuck in glasses and I know him, he'll go without if he can't have contacts.

Karen said...

Toledo in December? Uh, that doesn't sound fun!! LOL

I'm in northeast Ohio Mulie - and even I don't wanna be here in December!! LOL Ok thats a lie, yes I do... but wouldn't want to have to travel to a wedding in December in Toledo!

Muliebrity said...

is Jake a candidate for corrective vision surgery?

Karen said...

I had my eyes checked recently for the first time in like 7 years, I know it was way too long, and my eyes did the whole over 40 switch from being near-sighted to being far sighted, and added a touch of astigmatism. They gave me so far 3 pairs of contacts to try, and all of them made certain parts of my vision worse, and I wasn't happy with them. I can see my laptop screen fine, with the computer on, couldn't see it - too blurry. I could however read the ultra fine print on packaging and stuff... and I could see to drive, but if I was driving and had to look at the speedometer or the radio, back to blur... I hated it! So, I'm going without still, and my mom keeps yelling at me to get back there and make them give me different ones to try! I think I might need contacts and then reading glasses when needed, and I HATE glasses, so I'm with Jake, I'd rather go without!

Muliebrity said...

I know, Karen! His fiancée is from Toledo and has always dreamed of a December wedding.

Karen said...

Maybe you will get lucky with the weather there! Where are you again? I can't keep locations straight.... but am wondering if you have to drive, or fly to get there?

Lisa said...

"And my cousin got engaged yesterday and they are planning a Dec wedding in freaking Toledo!"

A long as its not outside, I don't see a problem!

"is Jake a candidate for corrective vision surgery?"

Karen, you need to go back. I wore bifocal contacts for a couple of years...the whole far-sided one in one eye and near-sided in the other.

He is, but we have no vision insurance and I'm not about to pay for that if glasses can correct his vision. He wants elective, non-necessary surgery? He can figure that out for himself. I never did like that combination and found I was far happier with near-sighted contacts and reading glasses. In the end, I was eve happier losing the contacts and just wearing near-sighted glasses and taking them off or staring over the tops of them to read. That's not working now, though. I want to try these. Did you try them? http://www.bausch.com/en_us/consumer/visioncare/product/softcontacts/purevision_multi.aspx

Karen said...

I havc the same, nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other, they kept switching the prescription around, trying to find a happy medium that wouldn't mess up the close up too much while still corrected the far away and the mid-range... ugh... Those contacts sound like just what I need. I also don't have insurance for vision, and went to Walmart Vision... and I really should go back, and recommend that they let me try those - thanks AP!

Hey guys, it's me.. I like, still exist. I swear I will TRY to read more, it's just beyond hard. >.< I feel like it's a sad excuse, but it's the only thing I can say. I miss you guys, I really am trying to keep up. I fail at so many basic things, the internets the least of my worries.

Karen said...

LFoB!!!!!!!! Wow - its GREAT to see you! I was thinking about how you are doing the other day!! Glad to see you check in!!

Life full of bRATS said...

I just have to say, that I am trying to figure out now if showing all your friends your dogs xrays, after she swallowed an orange and had it surgically removed from her stomach.. is trashy. That and if your kids favorite toy also happens to be a squeaky toy.. I have duct taped things together.. hrmm a bed held up by old phone books. OMG my husband mighty mended one of his shirts into a car seat cushion, better yet, it's an "Orange county choppers" shirt he wrapped around a chair cushion and used mighty mend it to put together... So many things, the fact that we have a dead garden area near the house where we've buried pets and it's ruled over by cheap pig statues? Or that our dogs always seem to be playing with 'used' firewood that didn't burn, or pvc pipe. Oh my, i'm making me look bad.

Life full of bRATS said...

Enough kayfessions for tonight, I need to keep my image as someone totally classy, who'd never threaten her children with 'kennel' time if they kept making that noise... I also would like to avoid the fact that we.. oh.. yeah.. I know what i'm sending i now. Screw the rest, AP, as soon as I find someone to take a picture of it, you will have mail.

Karen said...

LOL @ Kayfessions! I wanna see pictures of the dead garden area that is ruled by cheap pig statues... Now that sounds entertaining! And your dog swallowed an entire whole orange? What kind of dog? LOL

I cannot wait until you get the picture to AP... you have my curiosity now LFoB!!!

Life full of bRATS said...

It was an immature orange, like it fell from the tree. So it was about like, think.. Inch? in diameter. She's a hairless terrier btw, my genuis pooch

Karen said...

Awww poor little thing! Glad it wasn't a big orange though!! I couldn't imagine how a dog could do that!

Life full of bRATS said...

My white trash has been sent. I fear the day i end up on this website featured for our not so classy ways. Ap? You still around? Oh and Hi karen! It's nice to see you too. I too have decided that's shannons beautiful pit bull terrier.

Karen said...

LFoB it was so good to see you are still around - but its after 2 am and been a very long past few days and its time for me to go to bed - hope you are able to find the time to visit with us again soon!!

Night all

Life full of bRATS said...

Nighty Karen... night guys. I am just, never on when other people are :( and I always feel like no one ever see's what I type, but my peak time for writing or anything is late late.

Really Frugal said...

Good morning, daisies. I've been MIA chasing grands through unseasonably warm sun and sand, and revovering from it. Somehow a couple of my adorable perfect grands have grown some rude little mouths on them, so the are even a bit more tiring than usual.

No Daisy Babies Yet?

Kay, good to "see" you. I am amazed at how well you keep your sense of humor. Can't wait to see your white trash trophy winner.

I am not going to get involved into the white trash thing. My head reels when I start thinking about my possible contributions and realize that from the time I shared a two bedroom mobile home with my husband, three kids and two dogs I have lived a life defined by trashiness.

My youngest just used her work bonus to buy herself Lasik this weekend. She is beyond thrilled to wake up and be able to see. She also seemed rather enthralled with her first Vallium experience.

Karen, so scary when those head bumps look like they are going to explode!

Off to do some errands. I'm thinking I need to shop for some hot pink lawn ornaments.

Deb said...

Good Morning ladies!

Hey RF!

Cloudy today, not conducive to watching the Blue Angels fly rehearsal today, but hoping the clouds will lift in time.

Margaret - ah, a little fresh paint and those little deer will be good as new!

I would think Shannon too in the post photo - doggie gives it away I think!

Karen - those bumps on the head are scary. I'm glad he is okay!

RiM - what are you like a bird magnet or something???

Deb said...

AP - I hope you get some good news for Miss Arse today!

Muliebrity said...

Good morning! Do I really want to take these boys to the dentist today?

Muliebrity said...

and why is my effing mother bothering me on BF again?! She should be at work!

Margo said...

That picture is priceless!

twirldawg said...

Good morning.
I'm at the school until lunch and then I'm DONE! I'm just running around moving out the last boxes and turning in the last of my stuff.

This morning I was late to work because my son had to pick a flower. I'm looking forward to picking flowers without having to worry about being late :)

Muliebrity said...

You are going to love being at home, Jill!

Deb said...

Jill - congratulations, you made it! I'm so happy for you.

Shannon said...

So yes that is a picture of me. Yes that is my little pit in the background. On my right is the lamp that I knocked over. And on my left are the long legs of my son who put me to bed right after this picture was taken.

It is from my birthday this year and since it happened to fall on one of our friends friday's everyone decided that I needed to get wasted, since it only happens maybe twice a year. Well needless to say this is after my 3rd or 4th probably double double Goose and tonic. I had begun to forget things already and when my friend Chad went in for the kill shot to get a photo of me he got more then he bargained for.

My son fixed the lamp and then picked me up off the floor and lead me to bed announcing to everyone that it is time for mom to go to bed she has had too much fun for one night.

Margo said...

Yea Jill! I bet you'll have a lot of fun with your little guy - introducing him to glitter projects, etc.

Deb said...

Shannon - at least you can check off one time this year wasted, just one to go, right?

Shannon said...

Right you are Deb.....thank God I dont feel the need to get wasted very often :)

It was so funny though because I sent AP this photo like right after my birthday, in March, and she laughed so hard at me. We knew there would come a time when it would be perfect to share.

Anonymous said...

Shannon - That picture is *priceless! :-D

Yay, Jill! You must be so excited!

SW - Did you watch the The Big Bang Theory season 3 finale last night? I haven't yet but I wanna know if it was good. Ha! ;-)

Anonymous said...

And, with that, I forgot to say hi!

So, Hi everyone!

Angie said...

Morning all! Corinne, I watched half of it, not quite finished. It's really funny so far!

Jill, congrats!!!

Shannon, you kick ass, girl. Balls of steel.

Shannon said...

Needless to say I did have a good time. It was a little weird because I generally get to pride myself on remembering everything but apparently I forgot many things...probably better that way LOL

KaytieJ said...

Morning All!
:::waving at Kay::: I was so happy to hear from you, just got home from work, and please know your typing is read and looked forward to! Can't wait for the pic!

Shannon - Let the Good Times Roll! Priceless, and I love it!

AP - Crossing my eyes, my legs, my fingers and toes that your mom gets that appointment. And also for you and Jake to find the right fit for your vision. ((()))

Karen - I miss visiting Amish markets! When in Scouts we were in PA and I was fascinated with the people and, "Shoo Fly Pie"

RF - Missed you!

Taiya and Mulie....dang it...I wanted so bad to text AP from work at 0300 to see if you were having those babies!!!

Jill - Sending you good wishes for tomorrow to be your "First Pick a Flower...or Two...or Three Day"!

Hi Kaytie!

SW - Yay for a funny episode. I thought last week was so-so. It's still one of the funniest shows on TV ;-D

Lisa said...

I'm back...Kay, hi!! And you'll be featured on the White Trash Post Of Shame soon!

So, Miss Arse has surgery to repair her cornea day after tomorrow. Finally, things are moving along! After a good healing time, they'll then do the cataract surgeries. Yay, finally some good news!

Jill, this has to feel weird for you, even though it feels good. Your little one is going to love having you home!

Hi to everyone else and I'm loving how everyone immediately knew that was Shannon...lol.

Lisa said...

Where did bookjunkie and Brie get off to? Anyone heard from them?

Anonymous said...

Things are so quiet today!

AP - That is great news. I bet Miss Arse must be happy that things are *finally moving along! :)

Lisa said...

Yeah, it is quiet...we're dying off. :-P She's very happy and anxious now, instead of nervous.

Do we have any babies yet?

Erin said...

When was Brie due?

And hello! Out all day. Sorry I missed Kay last night, and RF this morning. And Karen too. I always miss Karen! Those head bumps are sooo scary. Glad he was ok. Karen- I want to see my *kitten!!!!

hello, hello

still having fun with my mom, but wanting to stop in and say hi

hi!

i'm being loved and spoiled

tumbleweedgirl said...

wow, i killed it.

ap, glad your mom is going to get some relief. i hope it works and quickly!

hi to everyone else. i will go away now.

Really Frugal said...

Hi, Daisies. Erin and Deb, I feel like I'm avoiding you both. You come on and I leave. Not intentional!

twg, you deserve to be spoiled - it's your turn.

Jill, I remember when I left work to be a SAHM, and I'm not surprised you have some mixed feelings. The times you will have with your little one will be part of both of you forever. The time goes too quickly.

Yay for Miss Arse!

I've been running around like crazy today. We have so many neglected chores inside and out, and just found out youngest may be bringing a houseful of out of town (Minneapolis) friends to play lakeside this weekend. I love company, but we have boats, dock, deck, flower beds, beach, lawn and house that all need major cleaning.

Decided to eat before grocery shopping because it is the smart thing to do. Ate leftover pasta with a marvelous chicken marinara, topped with a white cheese sauce. Not the smart thing to do. After I ate it (it was delicious) I remembered it was a week old. Blah.

Shannon, I will not look at that picture again. It brings back way too many memories.

Robin in Montana said...

Hello all!

RF - Good to see you, and glad you had a good time with the grands. I, too, have lived in a trailer (twice) with two kids, assorted animals. Not my favorite memories, but oh well, we survived, and both times were while we were building a new house.

Rhys - glad you are being spoiled by your Mom! Enjoy and treasure the time. :*)

Shannon - Love the pic and love that you have the humor to share.

Deb - It's almost 4:00 and so far the day has been bird-free, and there is a new length of pipe sitting in my car to be installed, so I think my days of running an aviary are nearly over. It was fun while it lasted ...

Survived one third grade field trip today.

Have top sirloin to marinte for a bit in some ginger/garlic/lime/olive oil and bakers and zucchini to grill.

The excitement never ends!

Robin in Montana said...

*marinate. Damn keyboard.

Really Frugal said...

OOh - thanks for reminding me, RiM. The zuchinni needs to join the chicken, asparagus and corn on the grill.

We get birds in our stove pipe a couple times a year. Earlier this spring I heaard something in there, and suddenly a huge bumble bee was flying through the house.

Really Frugal said...

and I need to learn to spell zucchini.

Really Frugal said...

and I need to learn to spell heard. Guess I better just go cook something or clean something...

Angie said...

Afternoon all! I haven't caught up on comments yet, but need to say before I forget that AP and the other Lost fans need to go to EW.com and read Jeff Jenson's two-part recap of the Lost finale. If you read that and still hate the finale, you've got no heart, I tell you!

Karen, did you say whether you liked it?

Angie said...

Question to you stovepipe birdkeepers: could you put some sort of grill over the outlet of the chimney to keep the birds out?

AP, so happy for Miss Arse's eye news! My Dad had cataract surgery on his second eye today. First eye was a month ago. The first surgery made a huge difference in his ability to see, which we kids didn't even know was an issue. In fact, Mom didn't tell us about the first surgery until it was done, which got her a scolding from all. Anyway, Miss Arse is on her way to better vision, so that's great!!

Jill, glad that you are free and at peace. I've been thinking about you.

Really Frugal said...

SW, we could put something over it in the summer, but when it's still being used periodically the chimney guy said putting anything over increases likelihood of fire. We usually only have an issue in spring or fall, when we can't put anything there.
Good news on your dad. Hope it increases his quality of life. My husband had to have cataract removed at 52 because he had steroids for asthma years ago. Hopefully it doesn't keep coming back.

KaytieJ said...

SW - Hope the second surgery was as successful as the first!

Rhys - Kick back and bask in the mom time :-D

Hope everyone is having a wonderful evening!

Anonymous said...

Hi everyone.......lots going on today, with AP's news (let's have a HEY HEY for Miss A!) on the eye surgery and a couple of Extremely Pregnant Daisies being MIA.

Chris' appointment was not great, but wasn't horrible either. The FIRST thing we hear upon arrival is that dr trestor had a heart attack-LAST WEEK. And is already back to work, looking fit as anything. I am in shock that it happened at all as he is *so health conscious......but also because he was, hello, back at work already. They put a little teeny balloon device in one artery and he says he feels great, so.......
Anywho, when I heard about it I instantly thought "maybe being The Patient will help him be more sensitive to patient needs. He agreed that what we have *been doing for Chris is just not working.

He increased the baclafen by almost 50%.........so I am praying this will help a lot and do so quickly.

I am having so much sinus pressure today, I feel like there's a fox news reporter eating my brain. This pain is horrendous. I've taken advil sinus already. It's not even making a dent. I feel like such a whiny little troll.

Any good sinus pain/pressure relief ideas?? It's all down the left side of my face, and my upper lip and the side of my nose feel like I
got belted good......=(

Shannon said...

Hey Elisabeth...hopefully the doc will be able to focus a little more on what will help Chris instead of following lines that arent helping.

As for sinus pressure I would take some ibuprofen and wrap a heating pad around your head. I hate that stuff because it just makes everything you do make you more miserable.

Margo said...

Check out Jill's end of school dance party celebration on my blog :)

twirldawg said...

Margaret that is hilarious!

KaytieJ said...

Elisabeth -
I sure hope the increased baclofen works for Chris!
Sudafed helps the most for me because it helps drain. that is miserable being so clogged up.

Angie said...

Margaret, that was inspired! LOL

Elisabeth, LOL for Fox News reporters eating your brain. :-X

I'm watching the Lost finale again. I can cry more without my friend here. American Idol in a few!!!

KaytieJ said...

Sad face to be missing the AI finale. Enjoy it, SW!

Have a great evening everyone and wear your helmets :-D

Really Frugal said...

AI will be great!

Elisabeth, I hope Chris gets relief soon. Fox people probably can't be eatting your brain. They don't like them. You are what you eat, you know. Have you tried the good old inhalation of salt water? Gross but it helps the sinus thing for me.

Angie said...

RF, it's great to see you back here today. LOL re Fox and brains. Good point. (Sorry conservatives! :-))

Really Frugal said...

SW, that comment could be read a couple of ways -

sorry about that, all of you conservatives

or Sorry= conservatives.

Not sure which way you meant it, but I will second it.

Angie said...

LOL I meant "sorry, conservatives!" The conservatives here are very patient with us mouthy liberals, and I appreciate it!

Muliebrity said...

Been having decreased fetal movement the past few days, so after I finished up with the boys at the dentist, I dropped by the OB's office to see if they wanted to do anything. I tried to call, but their phones were down all day. The sent me back for a non-stress test and after a bit of finagling, they got all the movements they needed and all was well. Doc decided to see me today instead of coming back Thurs, so I had a sono and an office visit.

I am 2 weeks from what I think should be my due date and 10 days from my what the Doc has figured and baby looks to be about 8 1/2 lbs right now. And looks like she has a huge head. Ouch.

He is in Labor and Delivery all day on Monday and says everything should be good to go even though it is a holiday. My cervix is still quite high, so he is bringing me in Sunday night at 6 to get it ripened and they will start pitocin on Monday.

Muliebrity said...

Elisabeth, Plain ole Sudafed has been working for me. You have to get it behind the counter, so they can make sure you are not going to cook meth with it. That and a handful of Motrin should do the trick!

Lisa said...

"Shannon, I will not look at that picture again. It brings back way too many memories."

RF, I just have such a hard time imagining you doing anything like this, for some reason. You seem so gentle and, well, kind of too classy to every have been in that position. I'm learning something about you!

Rhys, I'm so glad you're having a great visit with your mom! How long is she there for?

SW, what is it with our parents not telling us things? Am so glad your dad has done well with the surgeries, though!

Really Frugal said...

Mulie, so glad things seem to be on track. Big Baby! When my youngest grandson was orn last November, my son skyped the whole thing so his sister could "be there." I really think you should (re)consider letting all the daisies join you.:-)

Really Frugal said...

I thought Lee might win AI, but after tonight Crystal looks like the star to me.

Muliebrity said...

Can I skype my video feed to multiple people? I skype all the time one-on-one, but not sure how to do it as a broadcast.

Angie said...

Mulie, 8.5 pounds, ouch is right! I'm glad everything looks great!

AP, I don't know what that was about. Mom swears she just didn't think to tell us about the surgery. Even though it was pretty traumatic for her in that she had to drive the hour home. Mom doesn't drive anywhere anymore, so it was pretty scary for her. AND, if we'd known, we could have arranged for someone to drive them. But I tried that the second time and she wouldn't go for it, so oh well.

Angie said...

Agree, RF, Crystal is doing better tonight. I hate that they have to sing those canned AI songs for their last songs. That kind of ends things on a meh note.

Really Frugal said...

AP, Classy? That is one thing I have rarely been accused of, but thank you. Hahaha. One of my earliest memories of being trash(ed) would be walking barefoot through broken glass in my hometown to show my fellow eighteen year olds how cool I was. It never hurt until I saw the bloody sheets the next morning.

Angie said...

Wow, sounds like Crystal got the better lame AI song, huh?

Angie said...

She's rocking it!

I have no heart. It's been confirmed. In fact, that annoyed me more than anything. :-/

"The conservatives here are very patient with us mouthy liberals, and I appreciate it!"

We're mothers. We've learned to tune nonsense out. :-D

Elisabeth, get yourself a neti pot. It'll help.

Lisa said...

RF, that just shocks the life out of me...lol. Don't tell me more, let me keep my glowing opinion of you!

SW, it sounds like your folks are scared of losing their independence but gosh, I bet your poor mom was scared to death. And trying to be all tough about it, probably. Poor thing. :-(

Good luck, Mulie! This time next week we'll have a new baby amongst us!

whatcha drinking jill?

Lisa said...

Oooh, Jill, what kind of cocktail? I'd had a rough afternoon with Jake and I've got Sangria. And Totinos pizza rolls.

Angie said...

Sangria and totinos! Perfect white trash food! Is Jake okay?

Really Frugal said...

Cheers, Jill. I've switched to Biggest Loser so I have to go get my ice cream.

And my very best friend is an arch conservative. There are certain things I won't talk about with her. I have nothing against conservatives in general, But those Fox News people get on my last nerve. Sincere apologies if I offended anyone.

I'm drinking a rum and coke. My cocktail of choice.

You have to understand I turned 18 in 1969. I could tell you soooo many stories. But I won't. And while the classy is a bot off, I will own the gentle. Even in the formative years.

Yay for 2 Daisy babies!! My hot water heater has died. My husband is attempting CPR. ::fingers crossed::

Really Frugal said...

Erin, mouth to mouth? Good luck. Cold showers are no fun.

Really Frugal said...

T@iy@, what's the latest on your baby progress? This unseasonable weather has to make you even more anxious!

Lisa said...

"Sangria and totinos! Perfect white trash food! Is Jake okay?"

Oh, yeah...I think he had a fight/possible breakup with his girlfriend. I didn't figure this out for awhile, though, and totally overreacted to some stuff and it left us snapping at one another.

Erin, want me to send my handyman up your way?
RF, I had forgotten about your hippie roots! Also, the Fox people get on my last nerve, as well. I'm not a true conservative, just a fiscal one. Well, mostly. That's probably why.

DWS is making a huge mistake if they don't have Buzz doing the "Moon Walk"!

Muliebrity said...

No Moon Walk. Effin Star Wars music and a sequined NASA flight suit.

Evening ladies!

Angie said...

Hi Sandy!

Mulie, an opportunity wasted. :-(

Sandy said...

Anything new?

Nothing new here. I got nothing but sunburn.

T@iy@ said...

RF- She isn't moving out anytime soon that I can tell. :D My cervix was 'all the way soft' last time, but she hasn't dropped and nothing else. It is definitely warm! We got 2 window a/c units, though, one for our room, one for DD's room, so we are doing good at night and naps which is the important times of day. If I get desperate I can always visit my Mom's house. She has central air. :)

Really Frugal said...

Hi, Sandy. I hope the sunburn came from playing, not working.

I'm going to try to sleep. Tomorrow holds about 100 white vinyl deck posts that need green stuff removed from the crevices at the base. You can't use harsh chemicals or a scrub brush or a power washer because it will remove the finish. Mild cleaner and toothpicks. Not my idea of a fun day.

Muliebrity said...

Kate Gosselin still sucks.

Really Frugal said...

T@iy@, Central air sounds delicious tonight. We have one window unit but husband hasn't installed it - he has to go on a roof to reach the bedroom window - very wierd house.
It should be very comfortable by the weekend.

Goodnight, ladies.

Has anyone ever heard of flossing a 2 and 4 year old's teeth? I have to floss the boy's teeth at 2 and 4. I don't even floss my own teeth!

Sandy said...

I don't know about anyone else but I'm starving. I think I need to raid the frig.

RF, I obtained the sunburn while sitting at my pool with a Schlitz!

Really Frugal said...

Mulie, I am an incessant flosser. My two grands who are 4 and the 6 yo floss with those little stick things. The two year old doesn't.

Too hot to sleep.

Really Frugal said...

Sandy, if you gotta burn that's the way to do it.

Sandy said...

I'm off to raid the frig. Have a good night.

Sandy said...

No kidding RF

Muliebrity said...

Nicccccce, Sandy.

Erin said...

RF- My solution? Paint the damn things green. You are welcome. ;)
Only a little hot water. It is going to be 90 degrees tomorrow, so not the *worst day to have to take a cold shower!

Really Frugal said...

Erin, that sounds perfect. What kind of paint covers both vinyl and moss?

A cold shower sounds good to me right now, actually. The temp will only drop to mid sixties; humid. This is not a Michigan May!

Shannon said...

Mulie as the daughter of a dental assistant my whole life think of flossing as an opportunity to really see what is going on in their little mouths.

My ex and his wife didnt floss their little guy's teeth and found out too late that his heinous teeth grinding had actually worn most of the enamel off his teeth and he had to get 2 molars pulled at 6 and silver caps on everything behind his canine/eye teeth.

Muliebrity said...

My boys had their 2nd dental appointment today and OMG, they were so good! Like, really, really good! Logan even let them clean and scrape with the real tools! and he did x-rays! He's generally such a butt head, but he has matured so much from 3 to 4.

Hi elisabeth, so sorry about your nose. I've been reading about chris and have just wanted to give him a hug. And maybe sit and talk with him, we're in similar boats (and I don't mean to make it sound offensive, I've just found something so.. familiar in what happened to him and what's happening to me. But if it sounds bad (which saying you feel like what you're going through is like someone else can sound like) I'm sorry)

I've heard that hot compresses can help sinuses, but I'm not an expert on it as that's one thing on me that works well *knock on wood*

Wow so my window must not have refreshed correctly, she said that hours ago. great now I sound super psycho

Good morning! Nice to see you around again Kay!

AP - great news for Miss Arse - she must be very excited to get this over with. What a relief. Very important for her to keep up with the drops post-op too.

I wonder if Jill is still in bed on her first day off :)

Mulie - It's good to get them into the habit of flossing now. They like those little stick things. When their permanent teeth come in, they are much tighter and you wouldn't believe what gets stuck in there. I'm a flosser too, learned from too many year *not doing it is bad. That is your PSA for the day!

My ears are now clogged, and sound like a 10 pack a day smoker. Sweet. Probably yelling at the show yesterday didn't help.

twirldawg said...

Morning.

Deb I've actually been up for an hour. I would have loved to sleep in, but two year old don't understand that important concept :)

I don't know what I'm doing today. . .and I like it that way. I'll give myself a few days to decompress and veg. and then I need to come up with a routine or sorts.

Deb said...

Jill - that's a great idea, just take a break. I'm sure you'll fall into a routine soon enough, but I would enjoy the randomness of right now if I were you. Plus, I'm jealous:)

RiM - where did you all go on a field trip to yesterday?

Margo said...

Where the heck is AP and today's white trash treat?

I think my next art project is going to be a diorama of SW and her supper club friends made out of unclean shitake shrooms.

Angie said...

Morning all! Okay, I'm worried about AP. We usually have a new post in the morning. Check in, AP!

Deb said...

SW - I know, I couldn't believe Shannon was still on the floor when I opened up the site this morning.
