TWG I would like to think that Won would not feel the need to hide to protect herself. Honestly a lot of peeps have come here, things have been hashed out, and everyone has moved on.

But enough of that tell me how you made your poppers cause I have some jalapenos that need to be cooked up

Seems like no matter what time I get on - I get here at a new post... LOL good timing!

Repost:

Hey all - home again finally - well have been home a bit, but trying to catch up - you are all a chatty bunch of bitches in here!! Sheesh!

Ang got 2 tickets to the Cav's playoff game - she and Patti went, I have Tay overnight and spent the evening at Megan's - she made me dinner and dessert, and I watched Ri and Tay playing outside, didn't get home til 11 - Gave both boys a bath at Megan's and Tay was sound asleep when I got home, so now I'm relaxing... Patti is going to spend the night at Ang's - and then Ang will bring her home in the morning on her way to work...

Whats new? I'm going to try to keep up and catch up all at the same time!

Hi Sick - do I know you? LOL I'm confused at all the name changes - Can't keep up!!

Shannon said...

Karen you know me and I am not that secret :) I went from being sweet and innocent to the real me...the sun went down what can I say?

Karen said...

Maybe I'll figure it out eventually - or by reading back.. just jumping in and chatting for a few before everyone goes to bed....

So anything new? Do we have a total of what was raised for Chris? I saw the kitties tonight they are so stinking cute - fuzzy and actually starting to open their eyes already which seems really soon to me, but they are!

Lisa said...

"i think the attempt to be hidden was more won feeling like she had to protect herself than being secretive."

Rhys, I saw this when the new post went up so I hopped back to address it. I'm sorry, but this just doesn't make sense at all.

Hi, Karen. How are the kittens? Once again, I want to be a part of your family. :-)

And *now, I'm gone. See y'all tomorrow.

SnT

i think it's more from the potential that GM is around than anything anyone here has done or said. honestly? i'm just tired of people pointing fingers and saying stuff.

that's just me.

poppers:

some bacon and onion chopped and placed in oven until crispy. watch it carefully, i burnt the first batch of onion

mix with some more green onion if you feel like it
mix with some cream cheese
mix with some shredded cheese if you feel like it
add the bacon and onion all chopped up

stir it some. taste it.

halve the peppers, take out the seeds.

put the cream cheese stuff in the pepper halves.

place back in pan.

oven: 450, top rack. wait. yum.

have LOTS of milk. my mouth was actually on fire. maybe b/c i could resist eating the other half. i was trying to save them. it was equivalent 5 whole peppers i just ate.

o, heaven (:

i meant that the need to sometimes be incognito is not as devious as you're assigning the motive to be.

kind of like how everyone is playing with names here. do i think they are doing it to be secretive? no. it's just fun playing.

Hi twg and WP - all these alphabet letters are confusing me - but at least I get you two! The kittens are so cute - they fuzzie'd right up - and they are mewing and nursing and the mommy cat is being so good - she only gets up a few times a day to eat and potty and she's back with them... So adorable! I didn't get to watch them too much cause Tay and Riley are a handful and a half when they get together! And AP/WP - you are welcome to be part of our family any time!! Megan made the best dinner tonight - just chicken and broccoli and onion and garlic and olive oil with pasta and parm. cheese sprinkled in - yummy! she had a salad and some garlic bread too. And for dessert, she made this "pie" with the refrig. sugar cookie dough, you take it out of the roll and spread it in a pie pan, then she used creme cheese and some sugar and vanilla and the juice out of one can of mandarin oranges, spread that in the bottom of the baked crust, then put in whatever fruits you want, she used banana, grapes, strawberry, kiwi and mandarin oranges, refrigerate and yummy!!

Still catching up -

Hi
I have been around on and off and dont comment too much cause then I will become legally addicted, but I really need to point something out here. SOrry that came across rather strong, but you people here have so much respect for one another and for anyone who comes on as well. I read with interest the abortion topic, did you see any mud slinging, negative words, judgmentalism.. well I looked for it as I find that topic brings out all the negativism. All I read was a respectful exchange of opinions all given in kindness. Perhaps there have been strong words or judgments given in the past, but what I have read in my on/off lurking is that you women are sincere, respectful and kind and welcoming to any person who does the same in return. I hope that FWOP dies quickly as I imagine they will, esp if they keep trying to get non- existent dirt from you delightful daisies. And really for all the anti mck stuff written on here, I have found that that forms less than one percent of the conversations.
Kudos to you all.
Sincerely
Joyce

Morning all! Hi Joyce!

I tried to catch up on what I missed, but all of the name changes confused my brain. :) Well, not *all of them.

TWG- Think I will try that recipe for my hubs. He would *love it! Anything with bacon. :)

Jill- I laughed out loud at your firemen comment right when the show we were watching got serious, which had my hubs looking at me in confusion, then I had to explain, but it just wasn't the same, apparently.

Erin said...

Morning girlies, and Chris.

Joyce- be careful. You are making the daisies look good and tarnishing their vile reputation! ;)

Karen- please stop telling me how cute those kitties are. I am twitching from *needing to spend time with a litter of new kitties.

A plaintiff must establish three elements to hold someone liable for unlawful use of name or likeness:
1. Use of a Protected Attribute: The plaintiff must show that the defendant used an aspect of his or her identity that is protected by the law. This ordinarily means a plaintiff's name or likeness, but the law protects certain other personal attributes as well.
2. For an Exploitative Purpose: The plaintiff must show that the defendant used his name, likeness, or other personal attributes for commercial or other exploitative purposes.
3. No Consent: The plaintiff must establish that he or she did not give permission for the offending use.

VVC, thank you for the hint about who you are. As they say around here, “That’s putting the hay where the goats can get it!”

Sheldon Cooper, I love you so much! Last night’s Big Bang Theory cracked me up. You are hilarious!

One more thing before I go. The Today Show this morning had a segment about Craig's List and how it was supposed to have cleaned up all the sex ads but hasn't. I don't have a real problem with either (a) sex ads or (b) prostitution. I mean, I'd rather women not feel like they have to sell their bodies for money, but since some of us do, and there's a market for it, what's the real harm?

Anonymous said...

Uh....it's dangerous? For the women and the men. A good portion of the men are some weird sex addicts and a pretty fair amount of the women are drug addicts and victims of abuse. It's not like the Bunny Ranch where everyone is screened and in a controlled environment.

Morning all!

I wanted to let you know that I probably won't be around much, but that has nothing to do with recent events. We leave for vacation this weekend, and I have to do my normal neurotic cleaning-before-leaving and get the four of us packed and out the door. I also don't know how often I'll be able to get online at my FIL's place, although I have to work while there, so perhaps I can check in.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know. I will check my e-mail if anything spectacular happens and you just need to share it with me. I can check e-mail from my phone, I just can't post here.

Anonymous said...

BD, have a wonderful vacation!!!

Robin in Montana said...

Rhys - I love poppers. Peppers won't grow well there? Did I ask you about straw bale gardening?

Megan - I didn't mean the names here, although I am lost with many of them. And I didn't mean to be impatient with anyone here, because it's been very funny. Just all the trying to figure out who the freak running FWOP and all is, you know? It's a freak, an obviously unwell freak, and what else can you do about it, you know?

Margaret -- yes to Eddie Vedder. I could listen to that Into the Wild album over and over. (and boo to all you naysayers to Into the Wild yesterday. :))

I agree and never did I say the fact she used another name here (or there) was devious. Truth be told, I found what she did here to be downright cute and funny and I mean that in the best possible way. She even took the time to pick a name that fit in with the theme we had going...I can appreciate that! Just wanted to clear that part up.

Hi, Megan!

Hi, Deb...was it a good vacation, then?

Deb said...

Shannon - hey - yes, I want sand between my toes and a drink in my hand. Yes, I realize it's 11 am here too. The kids were awesome during the trip and had a blast.

Hey Silva's!

I have to write a nasty-gram to the TSA and fire it off this afternoon.

Yesterday they pulled me aside for the full body scan (even though I did not set off the metal detector).

So they made me go into that thingy for the scan, which would've been okay except my girls were in front of me in going thru security and they didn't know what happened to me and the security guy wouldn't let me out to tell them to what to do.

Fortunately, my dad was traveling w/us too, but he had gone first and didn't see me get pulled aside either.

So I yelled as loud as I could to them to stop. From inside the thingy.

Then he told me they had to wand-search me.

Now, I have on a t-shirt, khaki shorts and low cut footie socks (Never go thru security barefoot, it's disgusting, FYI). So I had to wait for a female to pat me down and wand me. She said I was clear.

I get ready to leave the plexi-glass box and the guy says the "screen room guy" says to check my right ankle area. He tells me to sit, and wait for the female again, so I just reach down and pull off my sock, because by now I'm getting steamed, and my kids are asking for me.

He says I *still need to wait for the woman to come back! I'm barefoot at this point!

He finally opens the door for me to leave.

Now, I understand airport security because I travel *alot, I would have had no problem with this except "security" allowed my 8 year old and 4 1/2 year old to wander off without their Mom. And left my $1K worth of camera stuff and pocket book w/all my ID just sitting at the end of the security belt!

Deb said...

*Sorry that was long!

Long time lurker here. You ladies are funny and smart.

In fact, daisies are too smart to miss something important. If comments are on moderation, they can be manipulated. Don't post the original comment and write one to suit your purposes. For instance if the General Manager of a site is hiding her identity and someone comments showing that they have been found out, the comment would not be posted. But the General Manager might change the information, for instance changing a location from southern CA to Nevada, to divert attention, and might then choose a commenter's name designed to warn the original commenter that they think they know who it is. And if the General Manager were to do that, would it not confirm that the original commenter was indeed on to her? Follow? Smart women might check it out for themselves (I did), though a smart General Manager would by now have covered her tracks in all probability.

Oooh, Deb, I'd be *pissed. Shoot, that mess is worth contacting the media about, imo.

Lisa said...

Rt, welcome and with all due respect because it appears you're trying to help, I think most everyone just doesn't care too much anymore. About any of it. Most any "proof" in all this silliness can be manipulated in any direction. It was fun for a few days, but I know I'm bored with it all now. They can post whatever they like over there and I just don't care...more power to 'em.

Hi Deb! I was just thinking about you this morning! Isn't it you who is going to the Opryland Hotel soon? Did you see that it flooded this weekend? Google Opryland Hotel Flood Pictures and you'll see pictures of the flooded interior. I've been there several times and it's hard to imagine it flooded.

Angie said...

And BD, we will miss you! If you want to comment on Daisy while you are away, just e-mail one of us and we'll post for you.

T@iy@ said...

I am sorely out of the loop news-wise since i wasn't online yesterday. I need to catch up once I get DD down for a nap. Glad they caught him, although I don't know a ton about it at this point.

Deb said...

SW - I saw those photos of the Opryland Hotel- we just stayed there 3 weeks ago, and walking around downtown Nashville - yeah the part that is completely submerged now! It is horrible, I cannot imagine.

AP - The kids were a bit upset, not like crying hysterical, but very clingy afterward and asking every 5 minutes to tell them again what happened.

I agree, at least next to the box, or be able have another TSA person *get them for me instead of me having to yell to them to tell them! Like I said, luckily my dad was with us. Originally, it would have been just the kids and I. Then what?

Angie said...

Deb, that's just crazy that the TSA doesn't make allowances for people with kids! What the heck?

Anonymous said...

Deb, that is awful!!

Btw- I put up photos of my all-exciting chalkboard/cupboard door on my newly-reopened blog. :) I wouldn't mind if you told me how great it looked. :D

T@iy@ said...

Deb- that is miserable. You would think they would consider what should happen if something happened to one your kids while you were in there. Not to mention they couldn't have given you 30 seconds to make your kids aware of what was going on? That seems very ridiculous. I would definitely be sending a complaint their way!

T@iy@ said...

Ahh.... I killed it. Just in time to take DD to bed, too. Catch you later, Daisies!

Deb said...

I consider myself a pretty experience traveler. I have never been pulled aside before, so I was pretty surprised. I always, always make sure I have nothing on me that could set off the detectors.

It was very eye opening and very surprising that they did not seem to have a procedure on how to handle someone traveling with small children. The fact that they wouldn't let me get to them - that is what set this Mom off!

Erin said...

Deb- that sucks. So glad your dad was with you.

Taiya- It *does look great! I have wanted to use that chalkboard paint for a while. I would love to do it on the side of our shed, so it can be a big outdoor sidewalk chalk area. Don't know if it would work.

Depends on the wood- EL. I did this the first time and it didn't work out so well. This time I painted the frame and the back with regular paint after sanding and it worked *much* better. DD loves it, and I love the chalkboard stuff!
