Casey Anthony trial talk.

To be fair, I decided to put up a pleasant picture of Casey and Caylee.  Also, I'll try to figure out how to keep this post on top, even with new posts coming up.  If I can't, I'll...I dunno...figure something out.
So, let's commence with our jury duty service.  :-)

I wanted to add, it's fine to talk about anything else, too. I just wanted us to have a dedicated place for trial talk if anyone wants it, even when other posts go up.

Turning on a high powered fan to blow out all the smoke, mirrors, wild goose chases of this tragedy.

31.days.
Thirty.One.Days.

How many women *follow this blog?

31.
Thirty.One.

Of these followers, many our mothers.

If your two year old child were missing for even THREE HOURS would you be out partying it up, not alerting family and friends and then authorities that your child is missing, abandoning your car, letting it be towed?

I will assume to think that, no, you would not.

With that said, Casey is due her days in court to determine her part she played in this tragedy. That is our Judicial System and I honor that.

Meanwhile, I am leaning towards Sociopathic Liar Mom who would get rid of any impediment (Caylee) who would interrupt her party time.

It is a very real tragedy.

Margo said...

KJ - you say things so much better than I do! It is a tragedy at the hands of a sociopathic momtottard.

Shannon said...

This case really is very confusing for me actually. It is confusing because I keep trying to look at everything with a legal mind not my mother mind. My mother mind wants to do horrible awful things to this young woman.

I still think that intent is going to end up being the deciding factor in this case.

HOWEVER

There are some seriously glaring issues that are almost impossible to be able to look around.

31 Days.

Living it up for 31 days.

Not hinting to *anyone that there was anything going on for 31 days.

Only telling anything at all because Cindy was literally crawling up her ass and threatening to call the cops after not seeing Caylee for 31 days.

Like Kaytie said with a normal mother she should have been flipping her lid the second she realized something was off.

I think the intent portion is going to come down to the physical evidence of little Caylee herself. It is possible that it was accidental that she died and the tape was put there after the fact. Except who subdues their 2 1/2 year old with something and then confines them to the trunk of the car possibly restrained?

I think that Casey acted entirely alone in this matter and there was no one else even remotely involved. I think she has already proven this as she has already attempted to throw everyone under the bus to not admit any kind of accountability in this.

At this point I would be giving her life in prison versus the death sentence but like I said too there are still so many things going on it may change before it is all over.

Lisa said...

All this said, and pretty much agreed with, I'm just not convinced that we aren't dealing with a young woman who was horribly spoiled as a child and allowed to, forgive my expression, get by with murder. I wonder if George and Cindy were the kind of parents who felt their little princess could do no wrong and believed every word she said. I wonder if Casey didn't learn to lie as a result of *that, as a result of trying to maintain her perfect princess status when she wasn't that at all. And then I wonder if she and the baby didn't come back to the house that day and a bad accident happened, Casey panicked and tried calling her mom (repeatedly, remember) and when her mom didn't answer, she calmed a tad and decided to lie her way out of this. And from there, it's all snowballed very, very badly. I'm not saying I firmly believe this...just that I could see it happening.

Now, things that have happened today that I want to know more about:
1. Who packed Casey's bags at Tony's and *why? They were packed when Lee came to pick them up. Logical answer is Tony, but why not just say that today?
2. What were Lee and Casey whispering about in her bedroom?
3. At what point was George called to come home the night shit the fan and who called him to come?

One final thing - did anyone else notice what freakishly small, feminine hands Lee has?

Lisa said...

"It is possible that it was accidental that she died and the tape was put there after the fact."

Crap, about this...I've always said I thought it was possible her face was taped up shortly after death to keep her from leaking.

Margo said...

I have not watched anything today but I know for a fact I don't want to think about leakage! I'm too black and white for all the what ifs. I think the way she has handled herself from then until now says a lot. I think when she cries she is crying for herself - not for her child. I'm a little shocked that the defense has not brought up a personality disorder as the reason why she acts like she does.

Lisa said...

Margo, I *think I recall that the defense had her checked by several psychologists who said she's fine. I may be wrong, but it hangs in my mind and it does seem logical they'd have done so. If I'm remembering correctly, they aren't about to go there since they're trying to claim PTSD and such. Some people are just liars. It's not a psychological or personality *disorder, it's just a trait they have. If Casey is like that, then I can see how she'd have carried her lies all the way through until the end, and when faced with hard facts, lied once again (sexual abuse) to try to get out of it. Then again, I also think there are levels of insanity we haven't remotely started to understand, let alone document or label. She may fall into one of those, I guess.

I know I'm very unimpressed with her defense team.

Margo said...

Day whatever - I wonder what revelations will come today? I saw pictures of her brother on the stand and he's gone almost totally gray since this thing started. I was also reading a timeline where George tried to commit suicide. Terrible for the family. She's a monster.

Lisa - are you cooking anything special for the trial :)

Margo said...

Casey went so far as to take detectives to Universal Studios and then while there say she doesn't really work there. That's nuts!

Shannon said...

Margo that girl had so many twists and lies I am amazed that she was even able to attempt to keep them all straight.

The thing that really got me with her taking them to Universal was when she said she brought them to all the places Caylee knew.....how is a two year old going to get there on her own and why if she was that advanced to get away from kidnappers and go somewhere why didnt she go home?

I can only imagine what those detectives must have been thinking at that point.

Margo said...

I did not hear that part. It's all so wild to comprehend. Did Casey actually know the woman who she claimed took Caylee or did she just look in the phone book or something for a name. Imagine turning on the news and seeing you're being blamed for something like that?

Margo said...

Have you twittered your wiener today?

Lisa said...

Nope, not cooking anything special. I don't have a TV in the kitchen. ;-)

The Universal trip was nuts. I remember back when all that happened and it was reported that night. I think that's when the public really knew something was bad and the national media started really picking up on the story.

And there is no woman, no "nanny"...she doesn't exist. However, there is one poor woman in Orlando with the same name, absolutely no connection to any of this and knows nothing of Casey and her family or friends, and her life became a living hell as a result. She wound up losing her job, homeless, etc. The weird thing is that at the apartment Casey claimed Zenaida lived at, this other woman, also Zenaida Gonzalez, looked at apartments just prior, including the one Casey took detectives to. She filled out a visitor card with all of her contact info, while there. She wound up not taking an apartment there, but there's been speculation Casey may have seen her and/or her card and used her name. She's got a pending lawsuit against Casey over it all.

Margo said...

That's weird about the lady having looked at the apartment. I wonder where she was getting money from when she told her folks she was working at Universal. I know she lived with them but she must have needed spending cash.

Lisa said...

Margo, she stole a lot...she used her mom's credit cards and stole money from her grandparents' retirement accounts. She also stole money from her best friend, Amy. Her Target shopping sprees we've seen videos of were courtesy of Amy, via check theft. These 6 felonies they keep threatening to bring up? Are part of that...she plead guilty about a year ago to those charges.

I can't wait until they get Leonard Padilla on the stand. Now *that will be some damn good TV, right there.

Trudy said...

Nope, not cooking anything special. I don't have a TV in the kitchen. ;-)

This makes me happy =)

Lisa said...

Trudy, is that a snark on my cooking?? Hmph!

Margo said...

Waving to Trudy.

I'm interested to hear all the lies that the defense will trot out. At this point nothing about her is believable to me. I hope the jury feels the same way. Leonard Padilla is bringing sexy back - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Lisa said...

Lol, Leonard's kind of hot...for an old guy. He detests Cindy, likes George, thinks Roy Kronk is involved and thinks that Casey is insane. And he's not shy about any of it. I so hope Chaney Mason cross-examines him because they may come to blows.

The videos they showed this morning probably sent that poor jury reeling and probably finished undoing any idea of George being all that bad of a guy. Did anyone see all that?

Margo said...

I was kidding about Leonard - I have that dumb song in my head today :) Does anyone know who Caylee's dad is?

Margo said...

I watched more of the tapes - I think that's the best evidence to the jury of who she is. Her parents seemed very caring and desperate to find Caylee. I feel really sorry for them for all they've lost.

KaytieJ said...

Me, too, Margo. Neither of them are perfect, but who is? Coming to realize your child is a monster and still loving them, no matter what? I cannot imagine the pain they are going through.

This tragedy reminds me of the cold blooded killers Diane Downs and the mother that strapped her two boys in car seats and drove the car into a lake. Both of these women did these deeds to remove their children from their lives so that they could go out and date without interference.

Margo said...

I thought about Susan Smith too, KJ. It's so sad. I just hope the defense does not totally drag them through the mud with allegations of sexual abuse, etc.

On her jury hiatus, I think Jello should star in a new video as Nancy Grace - hint, hint.

Lisa said...

A JellO video, huh? That could maybe happen, if certain people aren't so tired and they are tired tonight.

I keep meaning to tell y'all about something else interesting you'll see, in case you don't already know. Anyone ever watch Dr. G: Medical Examiner on Discovery? health.discovery.com/tv/dr-g-medical-examiner Dr. G. is the Medical Examiner for Orange County and performed the autopsy on Caylee's remains. So, reality TV will be meeting actual reality here and we'll see her testify.

I did not know until today that opening statements are not allowed to be considered in jury deliberation. Did y'all know that? Of course they will be since few people can ignore what they've been told, but let's assume the jury ignores it. Doesn't that mean the defense will have to bring all this up again and back it up, prove it, with witnesses and experts?

KaytieJ said...

Lisa - I did know that, but for the life of me cannot say why. Crap. We need a lawyer around here. Vaguely, I remember that the opening deliberations are each sides free for all of what they *believe to be the case. Then the jury is brought in and each side is then given the chance to state their cases. However, on closing statements, the jury is allowed to hear the speeches. I am so not a lawyer and may be way off base on this.

KaytieJ said...

Jello as Nancy Grace? Now that would be quite a site. Nancy Grace is a one of a kind.

KaytieJ said...

OK, I wikied both Diane Downs and Susan Smith. (I had forgotten the details). Diane had three children that she shot, and then she shot herself in the arm and drove the kids slo mo to the hospital.

Susan Smith did as stated above but at a high speed.

Both are alleged of murdering their children due to having hopes with relationships with men that did not want to have ready made families. Both are in life sentences, rather than death penalty.

Reason I am harping on these prior cases is to show, as horrifying as it is, there are mothers out there who actively murder their children so that they can party on.

Casey, so far has demonstrated, time and again, her ability to party hard, even though her child has been missing for days, weeks, a month. She has confabulated lie after lie. She is cool as a cucumber when telling these lies.

Her defense is up against a wall as to explain her lies, partying, stealing, shopping, all while Calley laid rotting in her abandoned trunk and then buried like a beloved pet with duct tape around mouth and a tracing of a heart sticker.

Margo said...

I did not know that about jury deliberations but I fully expect they'll bring up the sexual abuse again. I think they'll bring out a lot of crap to explain why she's such a cold hearted person.

Margo said...

I hope 60 minutes or another channel interviews the jury at some point to hear what they were thinking. I guess it's easy to watch and see what we see but they are hearing bits and pieces.

Margo said...

Lisa - did you see this? Good for that couple for making the bank pay for their mistake.

Shannon said...

I have to say that I am so excited to see Dr. G testify. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her. She fascinates me and I just love watching her show because of how she talks about it all.

Margo said...

I like Dr. G. And, I'd like some Jello, ahem.

Margo said...

Day __ of the trial. I can't believe more people don't want to discuss it... Maybe I'll sing a song that goes a little something like this, "Watch it wiggle, see it jiggle. Cool and smoothy, Jello brand gelatin. Of all desserts you'll love the one that tastes so lights and makes such fun. Make Jello gelatin and make some fun. J-e-l-l-o".

Shannon said...

I hate that for half the week that they are having trial days I am working and dont have access to the internet GRRRR..I didnt get to see thurs, fri, or sat

Margo said...

Take a sabbatical from your job until the trial is over - lol. I heard that during the OJ trial Nancy Reagan did nothing but have trial watching parties.

I'm not sure why I'm even interested in it. I guess it just goes against my nature to be evil and I try to understand the evil in others. It's especially hard for me to understand how anyone could harm a child.

Shannon said...

God I wish LOL it figures that I would go back to work just as things were getting good with the trial...I should tell her that the kids have to come here so I can be glued to it :)

This chick is just a conundrum for sure. I dont get her and I really just have to see what a jury says in the end basing everything off of the facts presented. Regardless she will be a lower life form when she goes to prison and even if sentenced to death it may happen before her day comes.

Deb said...

I totally think she will be found guilty. The evidence is damning. Casey has lied up one way and down the other, and there is no way she can be believed at this point, even if she tried.

I just can't imagine.

Deb said...

oh, and Helllooooooooooo!

::said in my best Seinfeld voice::

Lisa said...

DEB!!

And hi, all...sorry I disappeared. Life happens. :-)

Can I just say I have a *huge boy-crush on Arpad Vass? I mean it. He's so cute and funny and interesting and gosh. *sighs*

Margo, good for those homeowners!! In fact, I happen to think they should have been awarded whatever they paid for their home in punitive damages.

Margo said...

Helleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

I watched part of Vass' testimony - smart and funny. I was interrupted by the Weiner announcement.

Deb said...

Well, I can barely keep up with my life *and the trial, but I just read about Dr. Vass and the body farm stuff. They say the air quality samples are new to court, but as technology advances, I believe it can be solid evidence. I mean, they do air quality checks for mold and such, so how can you not present air quality for decomposition and chloroform? It does contain gasses that can be capped.

Weiner is a, well, Weiner, and he totally deserves all of the ridicule he gets from that gaffe. Idiot.

Margo said...

I wonder who was harder to tell the truth - Weiner's wife or Pelosi? I can't wait to hear what Jon Stewart says about Weiner. Stewart did a hilarious sketch on him the other night. Idiot is right.

Lisa said...

I admit, I have a hard time being opened minded about anything concerning The Body Farm, as I have a deep fascination with that place and what they do. I found his testimony to be very strong, though, and very damaging. Casey looked rough today, didn't she?

Weiner is an idiot. In this day and time, to do what he did? Just stupid as hell.

Lisa said...

When I say open minded, I mean as to any doubt concerning what happens at The Body Farm, by the way.

Deb said...

Twitter will take so many people down, IMO. It is of the devil!

I know what you meant Lisa. When the sole function of the body farm is to study decomposing bodies, etc, then it is truly an expert field. Kind of can't argue with them, you know?

I can't wait to see what Joel McHale or Colbert say about Weiner. Good grief.

Deb said...

Hey, maybe he was sending the twitter pic to Pelosi?

:D

Lisa said...

Oh, ewww. And gah, TMZ has the picture. I did not need, nor did I want, to see that.

Shannon said...

I thought it was amusing watching Baez try to object that he was not an expert in this or that area. Like Deb just said that is what they do there...it is his job to study and know the entire process of human decomposition....I dont know who could be more of an expert in such circumstances.

I am hoping that Dr. G is testifying tomorrow. I know that they have said they couldnt conclusively say how Caylee died but I bet she has some seriously convincing ideas and theories that she will be able to present based upon the evidence and such.

Shannon said...

EWWWW Lisa I dont want to know....It wasnt sent to me dammit I dont have to look at it LOL

Sue his ass and TMZ for traumatizing your poor eyes

Deb said...

okay, of course I run right over to TMZ!

Good lord, the guy was taking self photos of himself shirtless, with family photos in frames right behind him??!!

Gah!

Shannon said...

Deb heard weiner and went running :)

Margo said...

Shannon - perhaps you can call and request when Dr. G testifies - lol.

The other night Jon Stewart was talking about Weiner. I think they went to sleep away camp together or something. He said he remembers there's a whole lot more Anthony than weiner :)

Shannon said...

That would certainly be convenient Margo if such a thing could happen...wonder if they would be of a mind to oblige

Lisa said...

Lol, Margo, judging from the picture, I think Jon could be wrong.

I wonder if Casey is going to look so drugged or spaced out tomorrow? Heard an interesting theory tonight - that she wanted Caylee gone but didn't want to feel guilty while she killed her or "watch" herself do it, so to speak. She wanted to displace herself from when Caylee died. So, she drugged her with chloroform so she'd not have to feel guilty about Caylee being scared or suffering, then duct-taped her face up and left her to suffocate. That's a new one, but it kind of works.

Shannon said...

That theory is rather terrifying because it does make sense and is a possibility but it is terrifying to think that someone could ever actually have that kind of a thought process.

Lisa said...

Shannon, this one disturbs me to no end, possibly because it makes more sense than anything I've heard yet and is beyond consideration to most people. Who thinks like that, if so? Although, I guess it would mean the poor baby really didn't suffer and probably wasn't scared, so that's something.

Margo said...

Someone on Jane Velez-Mitchell's show said that Casey probably routinely put Caylee to sleep with either pills or chloroform. It's still horrible but if it happened that way I hope she didn't suffer.

Shannon said...

I sincerely hope with every fiber of my being that Caylee had no clue as to what was happening. I still like my theory that it was a routine thing she did gone wrong but dammit that isnt but one step away from the theory that Lisa has shared.

Lisa said...

I think she routinely put Caylee out, too. or, at the very least, drugged her to sleep soundly.

Y'all know what bothers me, still? That Ricardo Morales guy...he testified how Caylee would sleep in the bed, on the opposite side as him, and Casey in the middle. He testified to one time waking up and Casey was there but Caylee was not and he went on to explain that the next morning Casey told him her mom had called very late, wanting Caylee home, so she'd taken Caylee to her mom's in the middle of the night and then come back and gone to sleep again. Now, beyond many really obvious things that bother me here, I'm *really bugged by the fact Ricardo woke up, saw the 2 year old was gone and didn't wake Casey up to say, "Hey, where's your kid?" I don't like him and I' not going to be shocked if we find out he was somehow involved here.

Shannon said...

I somehow missed that part. I saw him testify that they had that sleeping arrangement, honestly who sleeps in bed with their new gf/bf and her/your 2 year old it is just kinda creepy. It really wouldnt be a shocker though unlike Tony he just didnt seem to be as forthcoming. I mean Tony had some serious emotional responses during his testimony and Ricardo was just overcome with nerves which I can understand but we are talking about a woman you were romantic with is being accused of killing a child you must have at least liked a little bit ya know?

Lisa said...

Ricardo seemed very resentful of even being there and very nervous, too. I just don't get how you'd have not asked where the kid was, if not out of concern for her, then out of concern that she was off somewhere breaking your stuff.

Shannon said...

Exactly Lisa. I mean who wants to have a two year old wandering loose in the middle of the night with everyone sleeping? I had one that would do that and believe me it was not pretty.

To have no concern at all until the next morning? And to not wonder why she took her to her mom's and then came back without a word or anything? Just odd.

Shannon said...

I have to admit that I am finding the dog stuff kind of drawn out and a bit boring.

Shannon said...

I will now retract that last comment as I just got to watch Baez shoot himself in the face getting that officer with the dog to admit that his dog may have had a false hit in the back yard.

WHY WOULD HE DO THAT???!!!!

For pity sake his defense is that Caylee died in the pool. That would mean that her body was placed on the ground after Casey and George found her in the pool. That would mean that there would be trace scent on the ground of decomp from her being there. OMG I am just a bit flabbergasted right now.

Lisa said...

It *was dull today but perked up at the end, yep. Baez was a total dickhead to that deputy to the point I can't image the jury appreciated it. Showing a complete lack of disrespect to an experienced law enforcement offer doesn't send a good message, imo. You can try to prove them wrong respectfully. But Shannon, decomp wouldn't have started that quickly, would it? I mean, if someone dies in a pool and you get them out soon after and lay 'em on the ground, would they leave the scent of decomp on the ground within, say, an hour of death? I would think not, but I could be wrong.

Shannon said...

Son of a bitch why do I always type a long freaking post and instead of hitting post I hit refresh and lose it all???

Decomp starts the moment that death happens. I am trying to see if I can find anything but I would almost think that if she had drown, been in the water for say 1/2 hour or more, placed on the ground for what probably would have been at least an hour while they panicked, there could have been some decomp gases and such mixed in with the water that was on her body that could have soaked into the ground.

If I had been Baez I would have been pushing that kind of questioning at the deputy instead of trying to make it a point that there probably never was a body there in the first place.

twirldawg said...

I've only been following this trial vicariously through you guys. What a tragic case.

Shannon said...

It really is Jill. The whole thing really just breaks my heart. I just wish she would break down already and tell the truth instead of continuing her lies.

Lisa said...

I'm with Shannon...it seems like it would be such a load off of her to do that, but she never cracks. Today, the cadaver dog cop was talking about how he was keeping his dog away from the site Caylee's body was found because they were hunting for a couple of small bones...he went on to specify small, like finger or toe. That animals probably took them off. All I could think of was how I'd feel had it been someone I loved out there in the woods with animals taking their fingers and toes...and especially my baby...it choked me up thinking about it, yet it was being said about her own toddler and she never flinched. It's hard to keep thinking it really could have been a bad accident when she acts like that.

Trudy said...

I Agree Lisa, That is one cold hearted Bitch. Those poor grandparents. I want Dr. G.

Lisa said...

I swear, I keep trying to make excuses for Casey, keep trying to find explanations that back up her story because I so want to be fair here but two dogs hitting the same spot in the backyard isn't good. And that the spot was away from the pool isn't good, either. But to hear people on some show (Vinnie Politan, maybe) explain how it would take around 24 hours after death for her body to have left a scent the dogs would have picked up on is hard to get past. The searches on her computer were an odd, mixed bag and it could possibly be argued by the defense she was searching some of these things to learn to protect herself from George. Except 84 hits on sites about chloroform? Really? I freely admit I've googled these same things since I've been following this case so my computer would turn them up in a search, too, but 84 times? No. Even 4 times? No. And then the higher levels of chloroform in her car...she's making it harder and harder to call this a bad accident. I'm still trying, though.

Anyone hearing about the mysterious Juror #4, who said she didn't want to be on this jury, could never judge anyone and got picked anyway?

I'm anxious for Dr. G, too!

Lisa said...

Oh, and does anyone else think Judge Perry sounds like a cross between Foghorn Leghorn and Darth Vader? You can hear him breathing in there.

Shannon said...

Casey is an amazing actress today. I just cant buy that she has remained stoned faced through all of the testimony this week and now that they are hearing of finding Caylee's body she is emotional. I just dont buy it.

Deb said...

Shannon - I was watching and just came here to post, that I just can't believe she can just *sit there while the software expert testifies. Sit there, with that face. No emotion. I'm telling you, not that I would ever put myself in that situation, I would be a *basket case!

Deb said...

Lisa - I had not hear that about the mysterious Juror #4. Huh.

Lisa said...

Well, today was interesting. I'd just told my mom that Casey was going to vomit all over that desk any moment and all the suddenly, off she went. She should be sick, too. TRU TV showed a lot of the pictures other networks didn't, with just the little skull area pixelated out...so, so sad to think that sweet little face became that little skeleton out there in the woods. Her poor little shorts got to me, too.

I'm wondering if Casey's had enough now and tomorrow may bring a confession or plea bargain or something.

Deb said...

Lisa - I just watched the video of Casey while the testimony was going on about the photos of the skull, etc. She *did look like she could vomit, and she should! I just can't imagine seeing that stuff, especially if she *knows she did it herself!!!

I'm wondering the same thing, could this have finally been the last straw, that she just can't take it anymore. She really looked horrible.

KaytieJ said...

Casey is a pathological liar. She has shown time and time again her coolness under direct confrontation of her lies. With this new bout of being "sick" while confronted with pictures in public, remains to be seen if it is just another act. Personally, I hope it was genuine, and she tells the truth and spares the jurors and the tax payers the hardships. I doubt she will, though. She is fighting for her life.

Shannon said...

I saw the pictures that they didnt show in court on WFTV today. I can imagine why they didnt show them since all "human remains" had to be pixeled.

She should be sick. She should be forced to stare at those pictures every single day.

I must ask but when she was crying did it seem almost more, through facial expressions, that she was crying pissed tears more so then tears of sadness at her daughter?

I really think that she was probably ill because of being faced with the reality of the condition of her daughter. And I have no sympathy for her tears at all.

Deb said...

It would be great if she just admitted it, wouldn't it? She was looking pretty pale. Maybe just facing the image of her daughter's skull was a bit too much for her.

twirldawg said...

Like I said before, I haven't been following closely.
My husband said something about incest/ molestation. Is this true.

Shannon said...

Jill her defense to this is that her father and brother both did/attempted to molest her in her life. Then because she was afraid of them or some crap when "Caylee drowned in the family pool" she listened to her father who told her she had to get rid of the body because her mother would never forgive her.

Honestly I find her whole newest defense, this story, to be completely unbelievable. Even more then the nanny took her. Mostly because George is a retired police detective. He knows for a fact that when someone dies people tend to notice and start wondering about where they are. For two she has never said anything to the media or anything about molestation issues with her father. I feel like she has victimized her father again and in order to punish her parents she hid Caylee's body (whether she intentionally killed her or not we shall see) instead of just letting them have her as they had offered numerous times.

My fence sitting has slid some since testimony began and I am feeling more on the lines that yes she did kill her intentionally. She couldnt bury her in the back yard for some reason and then instead tossed her out like trash.

I especially dont believe her story of her father, brother, and accidental drowning because she has told one fabulous lie after another tossing anyone under the bus that she can.

Lisa said...

I started watching her jaw and throat area instead of her face...when people fake, they make awful faces but they often don't do much in the jaw/throat area. You could see her throat constricting like she was dry heaving and trying to hold it back. They say she's in sick bay tonight, too...I think she did become physically ill over it all, but who knows if it was for the right reasons with this one?

Jill, she's made the accusation on both her father for serious incest/molestation and her brother for trying. Her defense team says this is why she's such a liar...she was raised to lie over this. Few people believe this story. Her father is not a perfect man by any means but I do not believe he molested her. Do I believe her brother may have tried to touch her (the story is, he tried to touch her breasts, she made him stop and he did stop) when they were younger? I think that's probably more common in families than anyone would care to admit, actually, and could believe that.

Lisa the part about her brother I could believe that as well. They were littler then and curiosity can and does often lead to inappropriate touching. With her father I still say hell no.

I was watching her mouth when she was crying and it was more the mouth of someone who is pissed and trying to hold it in and end up crying because of it. I just didnt buy her crying at all. Her getting sick that was pretty obvious. It will be interesting to see if court is held in recess until Monday or Tuesday.

Three layers of duct tape?

Supposedly so, Kaytie.

Now, something is bothering me here...Dr. G and a couple of others testified the duct tape was put on pre-death. The explanation is that they know this since the mandible falls off during decomp. unless someone holds it on and it was still attached. But, what it the duct tape was applied say, within 24 hours of death? Significant decomp. hasn't happened yet, so how could they rule that possibility out?

Shannon, I hope you get to see a replay of Dr. G...she was good and she got pissed at Mason!

They drugged Casey at lunch, I thhink. She came back noticeably calmer and even defiant.

Lisa - I'm definitely thinking Casey is on some meds. I wished I had seen the part with Dr. G!

I think Padilla has it right. That Caycee killed little Caylee the night that Cindy and Caycee had the fight- not the next day when George said he saw Caycee and Caylee last. Lee told Padilla that was not true. Lee said Caycee split with the baby after Cindy choked Caycee after learning that Caycee had been stealing from the FIL in the nursing home. Cindy's own sister just confirmed that on natinal tv tonight.
George lied when he said he saw Caycee and Caylee leave together the day after Fathers Day. Lee said so. He said they both left after the fight. (Caycee and Caylee)
So..it is my belief that Caycee killed the little girl to spite her mother, then put her in the trunk to hide the body.
When George demanded the gas cans back, she freaked because he almost saw the body in the trunk, so it was close to that time that she threw the body in the woods in the closest place she could find. I do believe thought she carried the body around in the trunk until it smelled so bad that she then dumped that body and abandoned the car where it was eventually towed.
I think, as Padilla says- that law enforcement eavesdropped on Baez and Caycee's conversation of where she dumped that body. Since law enforcement could not reveal that and go find the body themselves, they leaked the info to Kronk's girlfriend who worked at the jail where Caycee was and she then told Kronk where the body could be found.
Remember? Baez's own detectives were searching in the same area where the body was eventually found. Cindy also told them (Baez's private I's) to look in that area, and even though she denied it, Lee told the truth. Lee HEARD his mother tell them to look in that area. No one found it right away. The area all looks alike.
That's just my take.
