So we all have one be he good, bad, or absent we all have one. So give a shout out to your father today or call your mom and thank her for at least making up for what he wasnt LOL
Awww, I'm missing my dad today. He was a pain in the ass but he was my pain in the ass and I was a total Daddy's girl. Still am, actually. I hope all the Mr. Daisies have wonderful days today. :-)
Elisabeth - nice to hear from you. I'm THRILLED to hear that you're moving Chris to be near you and that you found your friend in Kansas.
We went camping this weekend - had to leave this morning because of thunder and rain. It was awesome to be out in nature - not so awesome to have to share bathrooms/showers with bugs.
But, *still thinking about this condom*, what a shitty way for a woman to screw with a man, pardon my pun. The more I think on this, the more I'm seeing some downsides, too. A woman gets pissed at her partner, decides to leave him and goes in for one last...reminder. I wonder if she could be arrested for assault?
I'm talking to myself...ah, well. Where did everyone go that was here the first day Shannon took over, anyway? So, is it awful that I saw this as someone's FB status: "wants to cry... really needs to be loved and held" and my initial reaction is that I wanted to pinch her or something so she could cry and get on with life? I guess it *is awful, but lord, I don't get it when people spray emotion in such a public manner. :-/ Is it just me?
Think they're waiting for you to get honest as if anyone believed SW who vowed her unending love to you and to the be the last one here if everyone else went away ~~~ suddenly got too busy working to post. Stupid we 'aint.
Or maybe your bitchy judgments keep them away. As if you were the end all and be all! LMAO
My God, that was a long, run on sentence you had there. :-D
Yep, that could be it...you could be right. Well, except for the honest part. What am I not being honest about? And what do you think I should do about it all. Leave? Have a Schlitz? Both? Help me out there, wouldja?
Yardwork all day. Thank goodness you all were not too chatty. That comment reminded me of the dittos we used to get in school. They were a paragraph and you had to add capitals and punctuation.
Hey Jill!! How are you? Are you the one who liked 80's hair bands? I remember talking about it on ohih or sip, but can't remember who. My brain is a sieve.
AP it's going ok. Some days are better than others. He has also figured out how to open doors so he gets out of his room from time to time at night. He does come into my bed in the morning. The snuggle time is nice :)
Jill we had to put a hook and eye lock on our front door when my oldest figure the knobs out. I was in the shower and he was outside riding his tricycle. Naked.
"I was in the shower and he was outside riding his tricycle. Naked". I think I just peed my pants laughing!
Jill - maybe put a sensor or something on his door so if he does get out you'll know. Hannah used to wander the house and it would have been a problem if there was an emergency and we needed to get out fast.
Hey ladies.....oh it has been an interesting day around here....took the steppish daughter and niece off to camp for the week...my roommate doesnt listen well and we ended up about 30 miles off track LOL Called my father for the first time in many father's days. And yes Josh is still trying to recover completely from his act of self punishment, we had a nice long nap as well for the lack of sleep last night.
??? thanks for posting lol at least you came out of lurkdom to say something.
And I think that when the little ones figure out the doorknob it is the first sign of troublesome years :) When my son figured it out he took off for about 15 minutes...thank goodness we lived in a town with all of maybe 100 people that lived in town and were able to get people together and found him pretty quickly...he got himself fascinated with something in a tree in the side yard of our neighbors house and was uncharacteristically quiet by his focus.
Oh, I love the Birdcage. The 'pirin' is my favorite part. (aspirin with the as rubbed off)
Jill they used to sell these sensors that if the magnetic field was broken they would beep like a smoke alarm. They were sold at Home depot and were cheap.
I'm thinking of AP aka Ms. be all end alls condom article. The woman said "The ideal situation would be for a woman to wear this when she's going out on some kind of blind date ... or to an area she's not comfortable with." If you're going on a blind date, and you think you might get raped then DON'T GO!
He was really happy I called...first father's day in a very very long time that I have called him. Kind of nice knowing that I am not all freaked out to call him...Josh was a little surprised because he has known for years how I feel about the man.
AP it shows me that I am growing up some where it concerns him. I mean for the love of the sun I am almost 40 years old and I allowed my feelings to control me to a point where I was an angry 14 year old when it came to certain things. When I lived there, when I was 16, I was actually told by him that if I werent his daughter I would have been in foster care. What that put into my mind and my heart is that people only loved me because they had to, never because they wanted to. Maybe Josh has helped me with knowing that isnt true and helped me to realize that I had to learn how to get over things.
One time I was going on a blind date and my mom was really upset that it wasn't safe. I explained that we were going to a public place and would stay in a public place. I also said that I could meet a nice guy sitting in church and he could end up raping or killing me. She said that was impossible and I said mom things like that happen and she said... I meant you sitting in church :)
HAHA Margaret I think that my mom has said the exact same thing to me before....she hated that I was going to bars in my younger days...she couldnt understand though either that I wasnt going there to meet men I was going with my girls to have a good time.
Hi all! Sorry for 'disappearing' yesterday. I did actually check in and tried to post on the breastfeeding discussion, but the computer froze. I'll sum it up by saying I am pretty much in agreement with Mulie. I've bf'ed both kids in public, discreetly. Anyway...
Spent some time with my dad last night; need to call the stepdad here soon. Is it horrible that I'm waiting for my hubby to bring LK, my 5 year old, home before I call? I figure that talking to him will mean I have to talk to him less. Sigh...
I think it's good what you've done with your dad - even if nothing more comes of it you've done what you know is right for you. I'm also happy that you have love now (said in my best Stuart Smalley voice).
I'm back too! It's late Sunday night and my BF and I just got back from a weekend ride on a motorcycle going from NC to Shenandoah Valley. Ditched the kids and other than a really really sore butt from that ride, it was so great. I am promising myself to post more now that I see I can just jump in and people here still make you feel welcome. I hope the other 2 or 3 lurkers that made an appearance with me Thursday come back - I hate to be the only new kid here!
Hey, Tara and Ami, glad to see you both back! Ami, how did thew call to your stepdad go?
Is anyone else watching The Next Food Network Star and/or The Next Design Star? I know I may have both names wrong but just curious if I'm going to be the only one or if anyone wants to gossip about them with me?
I would say that i am watching it AP but it doesnt even come on for another hour :)
Tara glad you two were able to get away and have some fun even if it means a sore butt
Ami I never really got to BF very much with either of my kids...with my first I kept getting breast infections and with the second there was never enough of a supply to keep him happy he wanted solids pretty much from 2 months on and amazingly was never a chunky baby.
Margaret I am really glad that I am loved too...what is even better is that I can actually accept love. I tell ya that after a year with Josh I was surprised because I was always notorious for sabotaging my relationships. Ya know the whole I will hurt you before you get to hurt me...if you get too close or I feel too much I am outta here.
Currently I am watching NatGeo. What is sad is that I have been watching it all day and have already seen this show but it is awesome. It is how the earth changed history I think and he is exploring ground water. There is one place he goes to that is like a big geode I think it is with crystals and such...awesome.
Oh that is awesome Jill.....the equivalent of a cold shower :) I like the show True Blood but honestly I could do without the obnoxious sex scenes all the time....not that I am a prude it just gets kind of old.
Nite All! Since it is Father's Day in the good ole' USA - just wanted to pop in and say, I called my Dad and we had a nice talk, first good one in several years. Shannon, you are an inspiration.
And just because...who knows ??? (that is not a rhetorical question)
"We welcome everyone who isn't anonymous. If you can't be bothered to at least make up a fake name to comment here, you probably aren't that much fun anyway."
I can't believe we missed the Birdcage discussion!
Reasons we would have enjoyed participating:
EVERY time one of us sets down a dish in front of the other, (often, now that I make his meals) one of us will say "I love that! Is it Greek?!".
I have actually scraped the "as" off many of his daily blood-thinning aspirin......so that we can legitimately make multiple references to the "Pirin Tab" and its effectiveness.
Whenever we see a couple with a baby, we will verbally trip over each other to be the first one to mournfully note "they won't have any more.." so the other of us can sarcastically reply "not without a miracle".
And last but certainly not least....whenever we hear ANY one, male or female, say they are getting married.....we delightfully (or perhaps obnoxiously) chorus "GET A PALIMONY AGREEMENT!!!!"
I've not tasted fondant before but I need to order a cake for a party and was thinking about it. I think I'll stick with regular icing. The fondant cakes are super cute though!
Margaret I have never tried fondant either and wonder if it is better then regular frosting. I often find regular frosting to be almost gagging because a lot of times they tend to put so much on.
But I think I am gonna post and run...it is only 7:30 right now and I have been up since almost 5.....thank you my fabulous son who thinks that sneaking in friends after everyone has gone to bed wont be noticed GRRRRRR. This same child managed to keep me up till almost 1 because of going in and out....the only reason I didnt go off at 1 was because I think I was the only one still up. He is gonna hate life when he has to figure out what he is going to do because the doors are locked at 11.
But I digress...I am a sleepy girl so I think I need to try to get a nap in even being so early in the day.
'Morning, all! Kaytie, I'm so glad you called your dad. Was he shocked?
Yep, ??? just left the one comment. I am sad. :-(
Good, I'm glad others are watching! Spoiler alert - Robin, I'm assuming you want to know who went home so I'll say and hope I don't ruin it for anyone else. It was Dzintra and she sorely needed to go.
Oh! I *did know that. Kelly was watching and I was making dinner or something and he said it was her. And yes, she did need to know. People who refer to themselves in the third person are not to be tolerated. Robin feels very strongly about that.
I am sad that ??? didn't leave any further words of wisdom, either. Whether it was a drive-by or a "clever disguise" (:choke:) it looked like it could have shaped up to be fun.
Robin has to get her fat can in gear and get some work done. Robin will chat with you all later. Robin will come back not speaking in the third person.
Hello again everyone had a nice bit of a nap woohooo
Margaret I think telling someone they make bitchy judgments is like being a bully to call others bullies.....it is a weird circle.
I am sad that ??? was only for making a statement and leaving now lurking around I am sure. It is like coming on to call everyone white trash and running ya know?
I like Aarti as well. I also like Aria-I could see myself being friends with her IRL. I'm underwelmed with the guys-except for maybe for Tom, he's kind of growing on me.
I would the think that difference between them would be that a judgment is placing fault on someone else where an opinion is stating your belief LOL could be wrong though
Shannon - Very cool! Where are they moving in MT? Do they live near you in OR? They saw the ol' tornado thing in Billings; right?
Margaret - I don't think there is a difference. I think "judgement" has a negative connotation to it, and I don't necessarily think it ought to. Not in all instances, anyway.
The Husband has major judgement about stuff - his way of doing things is *right. Some good therapy has helped him realize there is such a thing as differences.
Yeah they live like 15 minutes away from me. I think they are moving up by a big ass lake LOL does that help? They are moving to a freaking huge ranch and he will be working on their heavy machinery. I think they will be north of Billings.
Tom is the curly haired "big" guy. The guy with the hat is Brad. Brad is okay but his lack of confidence is frustrating. I think that maybe he's trying too hard.
Ahhh, gotcha. I like Brad when he's just being him but he isn't so great in front of a camera. Tom is okay, but I've not really formed much of an opinion on him (or a judgment!) yet. At least he's not too annoying.
It might be flat head lake....I just know it is huge and the ranch they are moving onto is something crazy like 600,000 acres or some shit LOL They told me where it was but I forget such things easily
Shannon - Very cool. And yeah, ranches here, like Texas, tend to be huge. Not so much because of money but because the land sucks ass and you need that much land to run a monetarily successful business. I'd love to know where they're going.
I know the brief discussion on judgements above has ended, but I just have to add this - one time when my teenage daughter was being really critical of other girls, I memorized this line from The Brady Bunch Movie: Mr Brady says "Jan, if you judge your friends for passing judgement on you, you are not only judging yourself, but you are judging your friends for judging you, and that's using bad judgement". I said this to her and we crack up everytime she starts to say something negative & I start with "Jan..".
Tara that is too damn funny I have used some of those Bradyisms myself :)
Robin I will find out for sure where they are going to be. It is really pretty there and there are hills but not massive mountains LOL but then again when I lived in Wyoming I realized you cant see the mountains for more then hills when you are in them.
Hmmm, maybe they are more eastern Montana like Fort Peck. Because the mountains at Flathead Lake are *big. That much land might make more sense in eastern Montana, too. Or Helena? Hmmm, trying to think.
Great Falls? Canyon Ferry Lake is big, and they could be located somewhere between Great Falls and Helena, both of which would be 'big towns' by Montana standards. And also would be more'hills' than mountains.
I am in the market for a kiddie pool for the 2 and 4 year old. I like the idea of something that can be emptied out each night or covered for safety reasons. These 2 are sneaky and while I have monitors on the doors to tell me when a door is being opened, I recognize that, even though I try, I can not keep track of them every minute of every day. Should I just think about one of those little plastic round pools from Wally?
Is it raining out your way Shannon or Robin? Right now it is light grey but no rain, yay! The cottonwood blooms are falling, though. It looks like it is snowing outside!
Those little plastic pools are fun - I suggest the soft sided ones because they are easier to dump. They'll be busy for hours splashing and wearing themselves out.
Mulie - that might be a good idea. You can empty it out when not in use. It is pretty hot there is it not? So that the water could warm up quicker and yet if it is cool from being fresh water, it would still feel good?
Robin - I am worried about the hay, wheat and corn crops. Usually the first hay cut is before the 4th of July. The ground is mud. Bet hay prices between the oil fiasco and the weather are going to be through the roof this year :-(
I worry about hay, too, Kaytie. I'm glad I need at most two or three ton. Even that will be ugly, although I do see good grass hay advertised pre-season at $120/ton.
Well, I paid $180 for one ton last year, although that was 'certified' hay. That was from a friend who will always have hay if I can't find it elsewhere, but he will charge. And I don't yhink you're making a mountain out of a molehill at all- some of the best ha land is getting killed with weather this year, and it is going to cost to ship whatever there is, out. How much do you generally buy in a year?
Robin - It varies by what kind of hay we are buying (local grass or Eastern Oregon grass) and if we are running any Black Angus. Low end would be 4-6 tons.
Mulie, I bet it felt good for things to be more normal, even if you did overdo it a tad. Hopefully Muliette will let you sleep well tonight to make up for it. Or, if you like, I could pass judgment on you for overdoing it. ;-)
I'm drag-assing today/tonight. So much I need to do and except for just now cleaning litterboxes in the middle of my front yard at 10pm like a lunatic, it's pretty much been a failure of a productive day here.
Baby sleeps pretty well and generally wakes once or twice. Her problem is she poops a lot and is a princess and demands a diaper change ASAP. I can't really blame her, but it's pretty inconvenient for me.
I'll pass. I rid myself of all my crazy in-laws in the divorce, but for needing to send one last letter and two huge boxes of crap I dug our of the garbage for them. I don't want yours, Shannon, sorry.
My SIL has shit talked my brother to me all day...he asked what she said and I told him.....she is now having him read our convo as a way to get back at me.....she says he will be pissed at me...if bhes mad at me then hes as stupid as she is
Oh I know AP...I am gonna have to fly to Maine to kick a bitch in the head though LOL. But like I said if he chooses to be angry at me for telling her that she was making no sense then that is on the two of them not me. She will eventually leave him and then he will know I wasnt being a horrible person. Hell I wish I could post the convo on here but it is so long LOL
Kay I think my biggest thing right now is I have only just reconnected with my brother after 22 years because his mom moved them to GA when he was 3 and I lost all contact with him then. If she is suddenly going to try so hard to ruin our relationship I will have to kick her in the head serious.
AP - After successfully climbing a ladder and not falling in a mangled mess and caulking your house, I'd say you deserve a day of kickin' back. And cleaning litter boxes is no slight task :-D
I dont get it either....I didnt say anything bad about her and said I dont know how many times I dont want to have this convo with you....and now like an hour after her "threat" she Ims me that they just got internet back....Maybe she is mentally ill and I should just be sugar to her geesh
Jill - Wow! I wish there were some way we could post pics in our comments. Would love to see it. As SW used to say, (paraphrasing) the skill of knitting and crocheting (and I will add tatting) is divine.
Shannon, what part isn't she getting? That when you have that many kids and none live with you, you aren't a parent? Are any of those kids your brother's? And why do none live with her?
Jill, soft drinks will do you in, I'm thinking. Non-diet packs weight on, diet packs weight on...you can't win. I've managed to cut back to 2 diet ones a day and be consistent with it but I'm drinking rum in bottled water right now and trust me, it's not the same. I will admit, though, that since I've been doing this, my late night snacking has been cut down a fair amount.
Shannon - You are one of the most tolerant people around (that is a compliment). If she is that obtuse and non understandable, then my best uneducated guess is that she is unstable, naturally, or drugs. <----two for one Judgey Opinion again.
I don't know but I was getting ready to tell Jill that a splash of Minute Maid Limeade, a healthy portion of lemon lime seltzer and then rum makes a fine drink. I'm just missing many of the components.
AP one of them is my brothers. Three live with her ex husband and the one was taken from her at birth and put into foster care.
Kaytie I think she is unstable....hence why she doesnt have any of her kids. My brother probably could have had custody of his son but because he was with her there was no way the state would let them have him which is why he is now his grandmothers son.
I told them that I couldnt talk to them anymore tonight...they have worn me out big time with all her antics.
Jill maybe some pineapple juice or something. I know I love me Caribou Lou's and they are Rum, Malibu, and pineapple juice...but then again they get you messed up in a hurry :)
Well, I'm dying to know what was so awful about her that they took your brother's son away at birth? And not meaning to sound all ugly, but why in the world would he pick her over his son? :-(
Well from what I got from his mom she has a very low IQ and has been found to be unfit...the state kind of forced her to have her tubes tied. My brother has ADHD and unfortunately I think he may be a little slow as well so as a combination the state refused. I wish I knew the whole story but I dont ask. And according to her he chose her over his whole family.....I may have to talk to my dad about some of this and see what I can find out LOL
When the time comes I will be there for him no matter what.....I am hoping that she doesnt try to ruin our relationship much more because I will find a way to go out there and put her in her place. I love my little brother a lot and when we were both in Maine together the two of us were two peas in a pod.
Well I guess it is gettin to be bed time...even though we get to sleep in Josh has started our bedtime movie. And nevermind I am still so tired from not getting much sleep last night.
"I was about to offer sending you the missing components!"
I'm lazy. I could go buy everything literally at the end of the street, at Publix. Maybe 1/4 mile away, if that. So thanks, but I could even hike my fat ass there in a pinch.
Shannon, some people are poster people for mandatory sterilization. I know some people have issues with that idea. I do not, under certain circumstances. It sounds like both of them would be worthy candidates.
I fully agree with you on the sterilization AP. Hell she just told me today if she could get pregnant she would be right now....she would be one of those women who would single-handedly keep the foster care system in action. My brother has two children...he had a daughter about 2 years before his son was born....and she lives with her mother.
I do love that part of being an adult. I love that as the children look at you like you are a monster you can continue enjoying your ice cream while they have Ramen...after all it was a fendy night :)
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Hello girlies.
Happy Mr. Daisy Day! And as Shannon said, for the mom's that are both - have a wonderful day, too.
AP - I was thinking of you today re: your dad.
((((()))))
I can't remember who said they liked the Indigo Girls - this combines The Dead and the girls - awesome!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Lpf7sB3CEo
Margaret, sorry y'all got rained out but bugs? Yeah, not so much.
On a totally unrelated note (thankfully), have y'all heard about the female condom with teeth on it? Heh. Possibly the best invention *ever.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/africa/06/20/south.africa.female.condom/index.html?hpt=C2
But, *still thinking about this condom*, what a shitty way for a woman to screw with a man, pardon my pun. The more I think on this, the more I'm seeing some downsides, too. Hugs to AP and anyone else who's missing their dad today.
I could loan you mine.....
BAHHHAAHAHA!!! SW, is that you?
My God, that was a long, run on sentence you had there. :-D
Yep, that could be it...you could be right. Well, except for the honest part. What am I not being honest about? And what do you think I should do about it all. Leave? Have a Schlitz? Both? Help me out there, wouldja?
Kaytie, SW is incredibly literate. It's not her but whoever it is is fun!
CK, I'd take your dad and happily. *nods* I'll fill him in on all your online shenanigans and he can give me ammunition. ;-)
Thanks AP. There are days - and today is one of them.
Oh, no, he picked Father's Day to act up? I'm sorry. :-(
Yardwork all day. Thank goodness you all were not too chatty. That comment reminded me of the dittos we used to get in school. They were a paragraph and you had to add capitals and punctuation.
Erin, did you mentally add them?
Where's Shannon, anyway? This is her first bit of excitement since having Daisy and I hate for her to miss it!
Oh bummer :-( I was really hoping it was SW pulling a funny on Daisy!
I think Shannon is working recovery on her boys after the hot wing chow down. That was some serious heat intake :-(
Yawn. You are going to need to try harder to stir the pot around here.
Hey Jill!! How are you? Are you the one who liked 80's hair bands? I remember talking about it on ohih or sip, but can't remember who. My brain is a sieve.
Hey Erin.
Nope that wasn't me. Not that I hate them.
Hey, Jill. Hey, how is R. doing in his big boy bed?
God, we all say "hey" a lot.
AP it's going ok. Some days are better than others. He has also figured out how to open doors so he gets out of his room from time to time at night.
He does come into my bed in the morning. The snuggle time is nice :)
"He does come into my bed in the morning. The snuggle time is nice :)"
I was going to ask if you'd considered reversing the doorknob until I read this. You don't want to mess this up. :-)
Jill we had to put a hook and eye lock on our front door when my oldest figure the knobs out. I was in the shower and he was outside riding his tricycle. Naked.
Erin that sounds like something mine would do.
My husband doesn't like the idea of reversing the door knob. We do need another lock on the front and back doors though for his safety.
Why don't you just put some chicken wire and a lock over the bed? ;D
Bella that's the best idea I've heard!
Margret I will look into that, I know you can easily install them.

I'm watching The Birdcage.
Mork & Mindy meets Judging Amy meets The Producers meets The Good Wife meets Ally McBeal.
Set in South Beach.
CK, I love that movie so, so much.
"What interesting china! Why, it looks like young men playing leapfrog. Is it Greek?"
Bwahahah!
I love the Birdcage.....the whole cast in that one is freaking fabulous!!!!
Is it on TV? If so, what channel?
I love that movie.
I saw it in the theater with my dad. Awkward. I was about 16 and I'm pretty sure he didn't know what it was about beforehand.
That is totally awkward, Jill! I would have been squirming.
I watched Pulp Fiction with my grandmother. That was squirm-worthy, as well :)
OMG Bella and Jill I can only imagine how those movies went too damn funny.
WUCWD - no clue what that one is. Except it's the one that you have to turn the volume up for the movie, and then the commercials come screaming on.
(That would be the channel Birdcage is on)
Oh, I love the Birdcage.
The woman said "The ideal situation would be for a woman to wear this when she's going out on some kind of blind date ... or to an area she's not comfortable with." If you're going on a blind date, and you think you might get raped then DON'T GO!
jill:
http://www.mypreciouskid.com/wireless-door-alarm.html
Young men playing leapfrog.... Eek!
"If you're going on a blind date, and you think you might get raped then DON'T GO"
No shit. I'm thinking it could be good at frat parties, though. And thank you for using my new name, Margaret!
Shannon, how was the call to your dad?
And our Dollar Tree sells those door alarms, too.
ROFLMAO Margaret that is too damn funny. True, but funny.
He was really happy I called...first father's day in a very very long time that I have called him. Kind of nice knowing that I am not all freaked out to call him...Josh was a little surprised because he has known for years how I feel about the man.
You've come a long way quickly in handling him and your feelings about him, Shannon...that's really wonderful.
Ami- I just did the same thing! I waited till the girls were done playing. We got the machine :)
"Tara glad you two were able to get away and have some fun even if it means a sore butt"
Words to live by.
We watched True Blood and then Ice Road Truckers.
Fire me up just to cool me down. . .
Oh that is awesome Jill.....the equivalent of a cold shower :) I like the show True Blood but honestly I could do without the obnoxious sex scenes all the time....not that I am a prude it just gets kind of old.
'K, I'm going to bed soon, I think but Jill, is Lisa on IRT okay? The previews made it look like something bad happened and I like her.
Two other things - Shannon, thanks for saving Daisy for as long as you want to mess with it. :-)
???, why post and run? Chickenshit? Or lying?
God, I'm challenging someone who won't even use a name their real self can be identified with. I'm obviously bored. Goodnight...sweet dreams to y'all.
Peace Out Daisies!
As you can see, we are sad we missed the fun.
Good morning pot heads.
What does fondant taste like?
"Tara glad you two were able to get away and have some fun even if it means a sore butt"
Shannon - thanks for using my name in that comment!
I'm back! Busy weekend. Is it Friday yet?
Margaret-I've only had homemade fondant and it was pretty good. I don't know what the store bought stuff taste like. Have you ever had it?
I've not tasted fondant before but I need to order a cake for a party and was thinking about it. I think I'll stick with regular icing. The fondant cakes are super cute though!
Margaret I have never tried fondant either and wonder if it is better then regular frosting. I often find regular frosting to be almost gagging because a lot of times they tend to put so much on.
And morning ladies :)
Good morning.
AP - I am watching both Food Network Star and Design Star and I will readily gossip all day long about either of them.
Did ??? only leave one nonsensical comment? Or do I need to go back and read?
RiM-I think that there was only the one comment. I kind of scimmed over the weekend comments trying to catch up.
AP-I'm watching The Next Food Network Star too.
I missed who went home on this week's Food Network Star?
Lisa still wants to know what she's not honest about and alas! she may never know, now.
Shannon, want me to beat your son's ass for you?
It is distressful for Lisa, but Robin feels that Lisa will get over it in time. Robin has known Lisa for a long time and finds her to have thick skin.
Lisa still has feelings, though. *sniff*
Robin is growing weary of Lisa's pity party. Robin prefers the attention to be all on Robin. ::nods:
Robin has to get her fat can in gear and get some work done. Robin will chat with you all later. Robin will come back not speaking in the third person.
Geez, I'm slow this morning. It took me a second to get that there wasn't another Lisa posting here. Doh!!
AP-Who're you liking so far on TNFNS?
Lol, sorry, Melissa. Bye, Robin!
Melissa, I really like Aarti...I think I'd actually watch her show. What about you?
Is telling someone they make bitchy judgements a bitchy judgement?
Margaret - I'd have to hav more background, lol. I say if you're prepraed to back it up, who cares if it *is bitchy or even judgemental? :-)
Aren't we all judgmental bitches on some level?
Hello again everyone had a nice bit of a nap woohooo
Margaret I think telling someone they make bitchy judgments is like being a bully to call others bullies.....it is a weird circle.
I am sad that ??? was only for making a statement and leaving now lurking around I am sure. It is like coming on to call everyone white trash and running ya know?
Robin I just found out that my aunt and uncle will soon be transplants in Montana from Oregon as well.
RiM - interesting thought
Jill - I know I am
Shannon - it is indeed a weird circle
My husband complains about me judging him about how judgemental he is.
I like Aarti as well. I also like Aria-I could see myself being friends with her IRL. I'm underwelmed with the guys-except for maybe for Tom, he's kind of growing on me.
What's the difference between a judgement and an opinion?
I would the think that difference between them would be that a judgment is placing fault on someone else where an opinion is stating your belief LOL could be wrong though
I don't know Margaret. To me they're very similar but not quite the same. I guess I can't really articulate it properly for you.
Or a judgement is saying it's no quesitons asked Bad/Wrong/Evil, and an opinion is just that you don't agree with it or like it.
I like CK's better :)
Not right or wrong, just different.
Truth be told, most of us make a judgement based on our opinion.
But I second Shannon on liking CK's definition.
I'm with Shannon and CK on the difference between a judgment and opinion.
White supremacists are idiots. <--judgment
I don't see how any logical and intelligent person could possibly believe white people are better than all other people. It makes no sense.<--opinion
"Truth be told, most of us make a judgement based on our opinion."
I think you're right. I absolutely will pass judgment on people sometimes and own that. I think we all do.
Yeah they live like 15 minutes away from me. I think they are moving up by a big ass lake LOL does that help? They are moving to a freaking huge ranch and he will be working on their heavy machinery. I think they will be north of Billings.
I think anyone who denies that they do that, judgments out of opinions, are liars!!! <-- judgment and opinion :)
Good example, Shannon.
Melissa, I like Aria, too. And who is the guy who wears the cap a lot? Is that Tom? If so, I like him as well.
Tom is the curly haired "big" guy. The guy with the hat is Brad. Brad is okay but his lack of confidence is frustrating. I think that maybe he's trying too hard.
I'm here. Ya'll can start the party now!
Ahhh, gotcha. I like Brad when he's just being him but he isn't so great in front of a camera. Tom is okay, but I've not really formed much of an opinion on him (or a judgment!) yet. At least he's not too annoying.
Hi, Mulie, what's new?
OH good Mulie is here we dont have to quell the fun anymore :) Happy Monday Mulie
Shannon-- hmmm, north of Billings there are no big ass lakes. Unless ... Fort Peck reservoir is way northeastern Montana?
Other lakes are ... Flathead Lake? I don't know.
Just living the dream here! Breastfeeding, changing diapers, and breaking up fights.
It might be flat head lake....I just know it is huge and the ranch they are moving onto is something crazy like 600,000 acres or some shit LOL They told me where it was but I forget such things easily
Mulie I am jealous hehehehe ok maybe not so much
Shannon - Very cool.
Oh oh Helena is where they are going to be north of...I think they said like a 45 minute drive to get to the big town lol
Great Falls? Canyon Ferry Lake is big, and they could be located somewhere between Great Falls and Helena, both of which would be 'big towns' by Montana standards. And also would be more'hills' than mountains.
Lincoln is sort of north of Helena. And where they caught the Unabomber. :-D
I sent her an IM but we shall see if she gets back to me or not.....I guess they are moving right around the 4th so they are probably busy busy busy
Shannon - Not cool that son is bringing kids over after hours <---judgey opinion.
I like two for ones :-D
AP - He was happily surprised. So was I. He did not have it on speaker phone and have his wife butt in all the time. There may be hope.
Son is a jerk sometimes he really doesnt get other people at all it is just him
I am glad I could inspire you and it went well :)
Elisabeth - After your Bird Cage post I had to run to look at my china pattern to see if it looked like Greek Leap Froggers - LOL!
Kaytie the sun is finally starting to beat out the clouds...it happened suddenly about an hour ago or so.
Mulie - that might be a good idea. You can empty it out when not in use. It is pretty hot there is it not? So that the water could warm up quicker and yet if it is cool from being fresh water, it would still feel good?
It's been dumping buckets all day here, Kaytie! I can sort of see the mountains from my windows which means it's trying to clear up, though!
Yay for sun! I spent the morning putting out granular slug bait around the house. I have never seen so many! ICK!
Robin - That is a decent price and hope it holds! I am probably making a "mountain out of a mole" hill :-D
Robin I know where they will be now...outside of Roundup
I was pretty much up to full speed today, but may have overdone it grocery shopping.
Poke Mr. Mulie to go do that part!
He's been bunking with the boys, so they won't get in our bed and bump my incision or sit on the baby.
good night!
Ahh, well, he's definitely doing his part, then. :-) Goodnight, Mulie. Rest well.
Night Mulie
I have a stupid SIL for sale anyone want her? I will even give ya 5 bucks to take her LOL
Sorry Shannon, my family can't do any more stupid.
Dammit....well maybe there will be someone else out there who needs one LOL
How you tonight Jill?
I'll pass. I rid myself of all my crazy in-laws in the divorce, but for needing to send one last letter and two huge boxes of crap I dug our of the garbage for them. I don't want yours, Shannon, sorry.
I'm doing well. I'm drinking a rum and coke, watching trashy tv, and knitting.
My SIL has shit talked my brother to me all day...he asked what she said and I told him.....she is now having him read our convo as a way to get back at me.....she says he will be pissed at me...if bhes mad at me then hes as stupid as she is
I am so jealous of Jill's Coke with her rum.
Shannon, he may side with her since he has to live with her. Be prepared.
I really need to cut out the coke and the rum.
In the past year I gained about 20 lbs. I'd like to lose that and then some.
It's not like I don't have the time to exercise, I just haven't done it yet.
Jill dont cut out the rum and coke just switch to coke zero LOL
Shannon - Sorry, can't help ya on SIL, but I am good to sit and listen to you vent! Or go fetch you a VooDoo Donut!
Jill - What are you knitting? You may have said and I missed it.
Oh Shannon! :::running for my muck boots::: That would be so sad and in need of some serious whoop ass!
Kaytie I'm working on a baby hat for a photographer.
Shannon I don't understand why people feel the need to sabotage the relationships of others.
Shannon - Had to scroll up really fast in case Kay, LFOB, was on and I was just assuming you were talking to me!
Kay, LFOB - We miss you!!!!!!!
I definitely miss Kay. Kay, if you read this, check in!
Thanks Kaytie. I will try to post pictures to my blog if I remember to take them.
AP rum and water? ::shivers:: I don't think I'd want a drink that bad.
I'm out, night ladies.
Shannon - You are one of the most tolerant people around (that is a compliment). If she is that obtuse and non understandable, then my best uneducated guess is that she is unstable, naturally, or drugs. <----two for one Judgey Opinion again.
Nite Jill! Would love to see it. TY.
AP - Is there a drink with Rum and Club Soda?
AP - Is there a drink with Rum and Club Soda?
All this instability and talk of alcohol makes me want to drink LOL
Well, I'm dying to know what was so awful about her that they took your brother's son away at birth? And not meaning to sound all ugly, but why in the world would he pick her over his son? :-(
AP - I gotta laugh. You're dry humour gets me every time~
I was about to offer sending you the missing components!
Shannon - Yowza! That is some serious instability going on with that SIL and I am sorry your brother is choosing to be mixed up in it :-(
I just know that eventually he will either leave her or she will leave him.....she is constantly talking about divorce so it will happen.
Shannon - It sure sounds like it will end that way. I know you have a huge heart and want to reach out and be there for him. ((()))
Someone needs to snip them both. Jeeeez.
Popping back in for a sec (I'm always lurking. . .always)
I'm pretty prolife, but after teaching high school for 7 years I have to agree that some people should never be allowed to reproduce.
I just ate a chocolate covered ice cream bar for breakfast and want another one.
Mulie, I see no problems with your breakfast plan. None at all.
Jill - sorry I wasn't here to help you with your liquor crisis last night. :-D
Shannon- how are things going now with the batshit crazy SIL?
SO far so good with her but man I tell ya I am almost hoping she doesnt get hold of me today LOL
Mulie I had Fat Boy ice cream sandwhiches for dinner night before last....ice cream is always a good meal :)
One of the best parts of being an adult is having ice cream whenever you damn well feel like it.
I do love that part of being an adult. I love that as the children look at you like you are a monster you can continue enjoying your ice cream while they have Ramen...after all it was a fendy night :)
AP- good job on the sodas. I am cutting back also, but have a long way to go. I hope it makes a difference.

Yes, you said this...
