Catching up and happy to hear BD may join us! :-))
Shannon, hope things go well at the doctor's today. I'm sending no-cast thoughts out his way.
Dear Lord, I just watched the video...oh, man, he is not a happy little silly rabbit. That poor man looked like the bottom just fell out of his world. :-(
and I just have to amend my comment from earlier - I would be thrilled to *see most ladies from SIP hop on and say hello - there are just a "handful" that I could do without.
That does not mean I will be nasty, I just won't run to them with open arms.
So no cast as of yet. The radiologist is going to look at the xray to see if there is or is not a fracture so probably sometime today we will know one way or another.
BD -- Please ignore SW. She is a show-off. ::nods::
Shannon -- I'll be keeping fingers crossed for no cast. Although if he really *wants a red cast to look cool, I might have to secretly hope for him that he gets it. :-D
Bad reaction to anesthesia post surg. Current infection in belly button incision. Girls are the best kids in the whole world. A. especially is very concerned and loving. M. is being, well, being 19 months old, but she is very affectionate. :)
I am hoping for no cast but I will be ticked if it isnt broken....Yes I will whine about the $30 bucks in co-pays since I only have very limited funds LOL
He certainly doesnt want a cast....that boy cant be tied down with something as mundane as a cast. Hell I havent been able to keep him down but for about 24 hours after urgent care anyway.
I love the daisies, love the reaction, love it all.
And with that, I really do need to get off. The site, I mean. :)
Have to go shower for the appt. with the surgeon; he has to check out the infected incision. I'll be taking names for my belly button (location of infection), if anyone is up to naming. Remember that Goofus, Gallant and Fuckhead are already taken by right ovary, left ovary, and appendix, respectively.
Ok now I must follow Corrine's lead and say good bye for now as I also have a paper that is in fact due tomorrow. I havent even started it yet but thankfully it is only 2-3 pages about management LOL
Yay! Yay! Yay! I heart her. I just heard from my parents (who are at Whistler) and they just snuck a peak through the trees at the downhill event. I am so jealous. Wish I was there.
I know - the scored a great deal on a room at the Worldmark condo that hadn't been rented yet. They are there through Friday. They don't have tickets to any events, but after sneaking peeks at the downhillers, they are heading to the Olympic Village now. I wish I had my passport, cuz Amtrak is offering $35/ea way tickets from Seattle to Vancouver today. Sucks to be so close yet so far away . . .
No, AP, I didn't weep. ::sticking out tongue at AP:: Found out on Twitter, so not super sentimental. I'll probably weep tonight, watching the coverage.
Now I've got you thinking I'm a big baby. I don't cry often at all with respect to my own life. I'm just sentimental about things like, you know . . . Hallmark commercials and sweet stuff like that.
Don't get your temper up, SW, I'm just messing with you! There are a few things that get me a little weepy, too. You know, if I have to be all honest and shit.
I know - Jane. Awwww. Just the way Morgan Freeman says it makes it even more emotional.
I'm not sure I've seen any LDS commercials, but we have kind of a large population of Mormons around here, so they probably don't spend ad money in this market!
Um. Some Dolly Parton songs. A handful of movies. Little old men when they want to be tough and can't anymore. Old time hymns. *kicks the dirt around* Some bluegrass music. Jake's hands because they look *exactly like my dad's. The smell of plumeria.
Want me to go on or have I humiliated myself enough? :-P
Naw. AP - it makes me heart you more. *I'm teary now about Jake's hands. And I got teary over the pic in your bed when he was sick, and he's not even my boy!
Hey MLWB! And Christy - I don't think I've said hi to you today either!
Ohmygosh - C.E.C. makes me want to curl up in fetal position and cry. That place drives me batty, but then you are like mom of the year for at least a week!
Thanks, Lindsay. I'm not liking him a lot right now because he's a damn lazy-ass and I'm tired of it, but I still love his sorry self. I can't believe I just admitted to all that. Jeeez, Louise.
Lindsay, We were there when they opened the doors. Literally. Standing on the sidewalk. It got busy about 2 hours after we got there. Then we left! Perfect. I can't handle it there when busy. I have trouble keeping track of 3 kids running all over. I wouldn't want to lose one of them, like someone we know!
Sorry, just tidying up my desk so I can jet! It's a glorious, cloud-free day and the rhodies are blooming. And I forgot my sunglasses. I'll check in later! Have a great afternoon!
Kristen, moat all Dolly Parton songs that are sentimental. Ugh. And "Amazing Grace" sung in Cherokee. Crap. Crap. Crap. Now y'all have me thinking about all this stuff.
They do serve alcohol at cec. I figured it might not be a good idea since I had to drive my kids home. Plus, it was 9 am. I know, it is 5:00 somewhere.....
So does Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" and not because of any stupid John Cusack shit. Because word for word, that song reminds me of how it felt to be A.'s mom when she was a newborn. Especially the line "the resolution of all the fruitless searches."
Everyone is welcome! The only real rules here are no spamming shit and no posting personal addresses, phone numbers or other similar info. I don't need that kind of stress. That's it, although it could change if someone gets creative or something. If you don't like what is said here, you can: 1) Say so; 2) Hold it in and stew on it; 3. Address it privately to the person who said it; 4) Snark about it to your friends; 5) Leave. Don't bother me with it, I don't care and I won't get involved. I might, however, talk about you behind your back or post your email/message to me on here. *grins*
Them's the rules...all of them.
Have fun!

Hi everyone. :)
Hi BD! How are you feeling?
Those fairies are at it again, say the name and they shall appear.
and btw - I sent you an e-mail :)
BD!!!
I can't seem to get offline, so I thought I would, in fact, stop by.
Kristin I haven't checked my e-mail, surprisingly. I will go check it shortly. :)
BD!!!! (Note I have one more exclamation mark than Robin does.)
You've made my day by stopping in, BD! How are your girls? Are they being good while you are convalescing?
"That does not mean I will be nasty, I just won't run to them with open arms."
Ditto all that and ooooh...
*flings self at BD in welcome*
Sorry.
Hi ladies.
I am feeling so, so loved. :)
You ARE loved! Though I would never *fling myself at someone who just had abdominal surgery.
Hey again everyone...Hi BD.
So no cast as of yet. The radiologist is going to look at the xray to see if there is or is not a fracture so probably sometime today we will know one way or another.
Oh, God, SW is right. I could cause your innards to fall out by doing that. :-(
Shannon, hopefully no cast. They just suck.

So what do you think about the place, BD? Aren't the daisies cute? AP picked them for me. Er, I mean us.
Brief summary to catch up:
Bad reaction to anesthesia post surg.
Current infection in belly button incision.
Girls are the best kids in the whole world. A. especially is very concerned and loving. M. is being, well, being 19 months old, but she is very affectionate. :)

Good luck with the boy, Shannon. :)
Goodluck BD!
I have a deformed belly button from an emergency surgery. I am sorry about the infection.
Thinking of names for the belly button during your departure.
Bye, Bella! We'll be thinking about you and sending good thoughts. Hurry back!
(Hey, how about naming your belly button after RV?)
Bella = BD, of course.
But speaking of Bella, it's time for her to come back and say Hi again.
Gosh, BD, you crack me up.
Fuckhead the Appendix...
BD hoping that your appointment goes well so that you can get recovered in a hurry.
Hey J&R!
Hi Kristin and everyone!
Ok now I must follow Corrine's lead and say good bye for now as I also have a paper that is in fact due tomorrow. I havent even started it yet but thankfully it is only 2-3 pages about management LOL
Good luck on the papers, Shannon and Corinne!
**Olympics Spoiler Aler**
You were warned
Linsday Vonn just won a gold for the U.S.!!
**** End spoiler ****
Way to go USA.
Good to see ya BD. I hope your incision feels better and heals soon.
Yay! Yay! Yay! I heart her. I just heard from my parents (who are at Whistler) and they just snuck a peak through the trees at the downhill event. I am so jealous. Wish I was there.
Your parents are at Whistler? How cool!

Bellybutton name? Well, because it's a new favorite word of mine and because it's infected, I vote for "Fester."
SW, did you weep when she won?
That is really cool Lindsay and sucks that you are that close :(
No, AP, I didn't weep.
Whatever. Bite me.
I won't judge SW. I'll probably weep, too. That stinking Dan Janssen commercial makes me teary every single time.
Lindsay -- Me, too!
Also LDS commercials, and I'm about as far from Mormon as you could get.
Ha ha! LDS commercials get me too! And as bleeding heart liberal agnostic, I'm probably a bit further from Morman that you are!
Oh, I don't have much of a temper, AP, and you especially would have to do a lot to get me riled.
But what gets you weepy, AP? Do tell!
yes inquiring minds want to know!
*Waiting patiently to find out what makes AP cry*
me too lindsay, me too!
How is your day going?
Counting down the minutes until I leave work? T-21 minutes. And yours?
Counting down too - T-50 minutes.
Also laughing at ho-worker and her being "territorial" b/c I sent an e-mail for one of "her" projects.
Its been busy and I have actually accomplished something today. Just hope I have the "good" kid when I pick him up :)
AP must be off crying in her closet or something.
Hey ladies! I have not been reading here today. I have no idea what is going on!
LOL! I had forgotten about ho-worker. That was funny!
I always hope for the good kid. One day, however, 2 of the 3 that go to school were in trouble. It felt like a major bad parenting day!
Hi MLWB
Awww...AP's an *old softie.
AP Dolly Parton songs make you cry? How cute!
Hi Christy:) How are you?
Shut *up.
MLWB, whatcha been doing if not hanging out here? Anything exciting?
Are anyone elses kids on school vacation this week? Lets just say that I am glad to be working tomorrow:(
Naw. AP - it makes me heart you more. *I'm teary now about Jake's hands. And I got teary over the pic in your bed when he was sick, and he's not even my boy!
Hey MLWB! And Christy - I don't think I've said hi to you today either!
AP,
Kids are out of school this week. Worked yesterday, today we went to Chuck e cheese. Just loads of fun here!
AP - which dolly parten songs.
I only have one kid, so its a 50/50 chance of good kid/bad kid.
Yes, ho-worker is amusing. Such is life.
I enjoyed your list AP :)
Hi Lindsay...I don't think I did either. :)
Hi Lindsay! Is it time to go home from work yet? Are you East coast? I forget....
Kristin, I hope you were not talking about me earlier......:crying:
Ohmygosh - C.E.C. makes me want to curl up in fetal position and cry. That place drives me batty, but then you are like mom of the year for at least a week!
Thanks, Lindsay. I'm not liking him a lot right now because he's a damn lazy-ass and I'm tired of it, but I still love his sorry self. I can't believe I just admitted to all that. Jeeez, Louise.
MLWB - No, I'm west coast, but I set my own hours, so I'm almost out of here!
Lindsay,
We were there when they opened the doors. Literally. Standing on the sidewalk. It got busy about 2 hours after we got there. Then we left! Perfect. I can't handle it there when busy. I have trouble keeping track of 3 kids running all over. I wouldn't want to lose one of them, like someone we know!
Jeepers, I come to chat and you all run away.....
Sorry, just tidying up my desk so I can jet! It's a glorious, cloud-free day and the rhodies are blooming. And I forgot my sunglasses. I'll check in later! Have a great afternoon!
Just busy trying to get a overnight pkg out the door.
Drive safely Lindsay!
Hi MLWB! Chuck-E-Cheese? ::shudder::
Why are you crying MLwB? I'm lost....sorry, its been a busy day. Is it b/c I said I wasn't going to run with open arms to all SIP members?
MLWB, do they still serve alcohol at CEC? ;-)
Kristen, moat all Dolly Parton songs that are sentimental. Ugh. And "Amazing Grace" sung in Cherokee. Crap. Crap. Crap. Now y'all have me thinking about all this stuff.
sorry AP - didn't mean to make you cry!
and I think its really *cute that Jake's hands make you weepy.
alright ladies, I'm out! See ya in a bit.
I think I'm going to pick up rotisserie chicken and make some rice for dinner.
Kristin-Yes!
They do serve alcohol at cec. I figured it might not be a good idea since I had to drive my kids home. Plus, it was 9 am. I know, it is 5:00 somewhere.....
Old Yeller makes me cry.
So does Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" and not because of any stupid John Cusack shit. Because word for word, that song reminds me of how it felt to be A.'s mom when she was a newborn. Especially the line "the resolution of all the fruitless searches."
Damn, now I'm teary.
