Sorry SW but that is how I read it, I actually had to re-read it to get what you were saying!

Rebecca said...

I thought you said the black man said it was long and hard too.

Lisa said...

I have no idea why the video is so huge...sorry about that. Or wait, maybe it's just long and hard.

*dies*

Rebecca said...

CK and Heather - see end of previous post.

Oh boy...

Rebecca said...

"Oh boy" or "Atta Boy" with a wink ;)

PJ said...

Damn, Rebecca, you're good.

LCMS people usually don't like us ELCA people.

1) Craig Johnson
2) DING DING DING - do you work for them? Hubby?
3) Electronic donations to ELCA churches
4) DING DING DING

Amazing.

kristin said...

Nope Christy, I think he's all man!

Angie said...

I'm giving up and going to bed . . . but not until you tell me how freaking awesome the damn commercial is!

PJ said...

Over the top, SW.

Lisa said...

You know what scares me? I can see this guy saying "silly rabbit."

Angie said...

BTW, is AP the best freaking non-moderator in blog history, or what? Talk about quick work on this post.

Anonymous said...

Yep...freaking awesome.

kristin said...

SW - I want to hear about your dreams in the morning though!

Good night!

Anonymous said...

AP rocks, except for her IM loving ways.

Kathleen said...

HA HA HA, look down, look up, I'm on a horse. Damn, I want my man to smell like him. And to have abs like him...

PJ said...

SW,
Don't feed her ego. She might let it go to her head and become a dictator.

Lisa said...

SW, before you go to bed, enjoy part 2!

Rebecca said...

We did ELCA for a long time. Only at LCMS 'cuz that's where we landed due to changes we didn't like in the Sunday School program at our former particular church.

Angie said...

"Silly rabbit!" Good one! And I'm out. Ya'll have fun.

PJ said...

Rebecca,
I get it - good programs for the kids tend to drive the church decisions when you have younger ones.

Rebecca said...

Yeah, I feel like its not so much about me anymore - I know where I'm at.

Lisa said...

"Don't feed her ego. She might let it go to her head and become a dictator."

Nah. I don't want to be anything that sounds like it involves a dick and a...um...root vegetable. No offense to anyone who has a dick and root vegetable.

Rebecca said...

If you had a root veggie, would you necessarily need a dick???

PJ said...

AP - you made me spray my martini all over the keyboard.

kristin said...

If I had a drink....it would have been all over too.

The second part won't load for me :(

Rebecca said...

Quick! Lick it up!

Lisa said...

"If you had a root veggie, would you necessarily need a dick???"

Well. I would it it was a radish. Or not. God, don't confuse me or make me talk about this more!

CK, stop wasting alcohol. There are sober children in India who would be grateful for that.

Kristin, try again. I'm getting it fine.

kristin said...

Ladies - it has been quite entertaining - and AP if you ever "ban" me, I will start a "hippie" club!

I am going to bed! i was gonna go earlier but it just kept getting better and better.

I will try the link tomorrow - since I will be the only one in the office for the 1st hour.

Right now the US has a figure skater in 2nd.

Goodnight ladies!

PJ said...

I'm loving the men's short program on the Olympics. The music is eclectic, but good stuff.

The Firebird! Mmmm......

Not to be confused with Freebird, AP.

Lindsay said...

Hi. I'm back. And a lot less hairy. And I loved the story of the Frenchman who was found abandoned in the streets of Brazil and adopted. Awww.

Look, I apologize for my geriatric behavior. I was just never in a hip club. I'm sure you're surprised to learn I was always a nerd. I hope not to be put down anytime soon, but you never know.

And that commerical. . . The second one was my fave.

Lisa said...

Goodnight, Kristin, I'm not far behind you, I think.

CK, leave my Southern rock out of it.

It's bad that when I read "Firebird", I immediately thought muscle car, isn't it?

Lindsay said...

I'm going to finish up some Olympics and fold some laundry. Adios!

Lisa said...

"I'm sure you're surprised to learn I was always a nerd."

The hell you say! Watch out...someone around here makes wedding food out of those. :-D

I'm off to clean my kitchen, farm a bit and go to bed. Can I borrow someone's Ben Gay? 'Night!

kristin said...

just did some farming AP!

I need to redo my farm.

And let me know what you want me to "gift" you!

Enjoy the laundry Lindsay and glad you are less hairy.

Night for real this time :)

Shannon said...

Hello anyone around still? I hate the stupid time differences!!!

Kathleen said...

HI Shannon. I'm still here.

PJ said...

Shannon - I'm up. Good to see you.

Shannon said...

Hey Kathleen and CK

Yeah I have been pretty much hanging low the last few days

How you all doing?

Shannon said...

And can I just say after watching Deep Fried Paradise on the Food Network I wanna go live in the south for like a month trying all the deep fried foods?

PJ said...

Shannon - you're already the Deep Fry Queen, aren't you?

I'm good here - but will need to go to bed soon.

How are you?

Kathleen said...

Swell. It's been chock full of awesome on here tonight. And finally, my DH is coming home tomorrow, he has been working out of town for a week. This single mom stuff is not for me.

Kathleen said...

Ooo fried stuff....mmmm....

PJ said...

Kathleen - did he get to go somewhere nice? Or Iowa?

Kathleen said...

Yeah he is in Tucson, which has been in the 70's. Which makes me jealous, since it's the 30's here. But he was doing a rebuild on a roof, so it's the time to do it down there.

Shannon said...

I am the Deep Fried Queen but there are some things those Southerners make that I need to sample to know if I do it right or not LOL

Kathleen good to hear that single motherhood is almost over....not fun at all.

I am pretty good CK you should email me sometime though.....shanabe09@yahoo.com

Kathleen you can email me too if ya wanna :D

PJ said...

Okay - those snowboarders are wearing Gortex jeans.

They look like they have blue jeans on, but they're fake.

Kathleen said...

Awe thanks for including me.

Shall we talk shit...and about whom?... Ha kidding.

Shannon said...

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Then damn Southerners and their delicious deep fried goodness....the bastards

PJ said...

Kathleen,
Warm would be nice. Some sun. Is your weather of late colder than usual?

PJ said...

Gotta sleep. Talk later! I e-mailed you, Shannon.

Shannon said...

Cool CK you have a book waiting in your inbox LOL

Kathleen said...

Ck, I think its about average, but we just moved to the mountains from las vegas, so we are used to much warmer. My poor son asks me all the time when the snow will go away so he can play in the dirt. (You just can't drive trucks in the snow, ya know.)

Shannon said...

LOL that is too cute Kathleen...poor little man

Nilia said...

Oh no, looks like I'm late to the party again.

Goodnight for all those toddling off to bed!

Kathleen said...

'Sup FT? How are you this evening?

Shannon said...

You arent terribly late FT...how are you doin tonight?

Nilia said...

Doing good, thanks, how are you guys?

Coached basketball earlier this evening, some girl drama. Girls are mean to each other. What's up with that?

Nilia said...

Team mostly Grade 6 girls, so they will all turn 12 sometime this year.

Shannon said...

LOL yes they are FT yes they are. I remember that the hardest stage with my daughter was that 12 year old stage. I actually had to enforce the ending of "friendships" for her at that time in her life.

Kathleen said...

12 and 13 yr old girls are the anitchrist. Evil evil things, so quick to attack the weak.

Shannon said...

Oh yes they are. My daughter had 2 best friends at that age....they both turned on her. Let me tell you after seeing how they turned out I am glad I told them to forget they ever met my daughter. By 16 both had already had abortions and were in the throws of serious drug addiction.

Nilia said...

Kathleen, exactly. They picked the easiest target. Privately, I told her (nicely) to stop making herself such an easy victim. She cries easily and has a persecution complex. I don't think those are big enough crimes for her not to be liked, she dresses "with it" and fits in (or appears to), so I don't know what defect she has that makes her stand so far apart from her peers, why they don't include her. Even on a team of only 10 girls! Plus we have 2 younger girls on the team and they aren't excluded. I don't get it.

Nilia said...

I know boys and girls each have their own challenges, but I seriously think I'm better equipped (you just know yourself, you know?) to mother boys. I dunno. Maybe I am because that's what I had. Still....

Shannon said...

In some aspects my daughter has been easier but in others my son has been.

My daughter knows her mind and has always been very independent and hasnt needed to fit in. Yet she is heartbroken at times as she feels on the outs from her friends....she has been changing and growing postitively where they have stayed in the same place.

My son however while more self confident in some areas has always felt the need to fit in with his friends and has made dumb choices.

Nilia said...

Shannon, I hear you. My oldest is a bit of a follower also. But in terms of bullying, boys have nothing on the girls.

Heather said...

CK and Rebecca,

my dad wouldn't have it any other way than LCMS. that was how he was raised, and the church his parents and grandparents attended. so he's into the tradition of it. but really, he is more liberal and registered democrat (since sometime during the first bush years LOL).

i've spent time around the pastor at family gatherings. he's really nice. (i think by introducing us they thought i might come to church). and he's always been there when i had to go to the hospital.

but like i mentioned and to give AP her controversial religion themed post. ;)...

i am a christian believer and believe that Jesus is my savior. however, i have trouble not just with the lutheran church, but any form of religion that can't possibly fathom that God can reach others via different routes. i mean with God ALL things are possible right? and i'm just sensitive, what i can't fathom is the vast numbers of good people being damned to hell-just because of their choice of faith or lack of. we're all children of God.

there AP, i said it. =)

Kathleen said...

Yeah, I'm often glad I had a boy. he is a stubborn cuss more often than not, so I'm hoping when he gets old enough he will be able to stand his ground.

It seems like boys don't take it as personal, and if a boy fights back or uses humor or something to deflect the bulling, it can end, and they can all be pals, whereas girl won't/don't do that.

Nilia said...

Kathleen: yes, I agree. Girls hit low with gossip, and undermining confidence and excluding. Boys just punch and get it out of the way. Some boys to jab at others for example on physical features but it doesn't tend to stick, from what I've seen anyway. I dunno... I'm sure the problem can be explained more scientifically than I'm doing.

Karen said...

Hi everyone - am I too late for anyone to still be awake?

Shannon? FT? anyone?

Helllloooooooo........

Kathleen said...

Hi Karen.

Nilia said...

Hey Karen, I'm here for a little bit more, it's almost 1:30 a.m. so I'll be packing up in maybe 10-15 minutes.

What's new witchoo?

Karen said...

Hi Kathleen - not sure i know you - but nice to meet you here!

Hi FT - its 1:30 here almost too - not gonna be up long, just trying to catch up on reading blogs... We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar tonight - that was so much fun!!

Nilia said...

Ooh, I had forgotten you mentioned that. Did you go with Patti? How was it?

Karen said...

Kathleen just peeked at your blog... your "helper" for the ice cream cake post is adorable! and the ice cream cake looks like such a good idea!! So did it end up working out after you froze and frosted and wrote on it?

Karen said...

Yea just Patti and I - and it was awesome - I love the music, and the guy that played Jesus is the original from the movie - Ted Neely - he was really good!

Nilia said...

I love musicals. We talked about them once over on SIP, remember?

Sorry to post and run but I'm running out of steam. I'm going to head up to bed, 6 hours of sleep, that sounds about right...

Goodnight Karen and Kathleen!

Karen said...

Yep I remember - we saw several when we were living in NY - on Broadway - this is the first time we've been to a show in Akron and it was really good!

Night FT sleep FAST!

Kathleen still skimming your blog - that is ALOT of freaking snow!! where are you?

Kathleen said...

Goodnight FT.

Thanks Karen, he is pretty adorable. The cake came out pretty good, the frosting was fine. I didn't end up writing on it since I was unsure if my recipes for regular frosting would freeze well and i didn't want weird frozen butter blobs mucking up the cake. But she didn't mind, and it was yummy.

Kathleen said...

We are in Flagstaff AZ. It's freakish, the snow.

Karen said...

My kids like ice cream cakes... I might try that the next time I need to make a cake for them... or for any reason even... who needs an occassion to eat ice cream and cake together, right?

Karen said...

Wow - yea - that is some snow - I loved the pictures though... wouldn't want to have to deal with that! I'm in Ohio and we have some snow, its snowing right now again actually, we have maybe 2 1/2 feet on the ground, and are expecting maybe another 3-5 inches they say... but we get it a little at a time - last weekend we got 12 inches - I thought that was alot! but we don't have to shove, live in an apartment complex and they shovel!! yay!

Kathleen said...

Hell yeah. It's way cheaper than buying one, and you can pick whatever ice cram you like best. I want one with cookies and cream, or with chunky monkey. Mmmmm.

Karen said...

i was thinking choc cake and mint choc chip ice cream... or chocolate chip ice cream... or any kind really - i like ice cream!

Kathleen said...

If you stay on top of the shoveling, it's not so bad. What sucked was at the top of the driveway, where we had been throwing the snow the piles were too big for me to add to the tops, I just couldn't throw it that high.

2.5 feet of snow on the ground isn't anything to sneeze at, thats a lot of snow.

Karen said...

i'm sure when they plow the roads and the snow piles at the end of the driveway that would be horrible! ugggh makes my muscles hurt just thinking about it!

Karen said...

It was nice to chat with you Kathleen, but since its almost 2 and Tay will be here at 10 - I better get some sleep!

Night!

Kathleen said...

Indeed, It's only midnight here, but I ought to sleep as well. Goodnight, Karen, "see" you soon.

kristin said...

Morning ladies!

Strange night last night! I'm tired.

Going to get ready!

See ya in a bit!

Lisa said...

'Morning to everyone from last night!

Kristin, I meant to tell you yesterday that I'd love any recipes your grandma may want to share! Also, I don't need anything specific for my farm...do you?

Hi to everyone I missed late last night. FT, Shannon, Karen...I probably missed someone. Hope y'all are doing good. Shannon, come visit me and I'll give you a southern fried food extravaganza. I'm not mean or anything, I swear. ;-)

Heather, I couldn't agree with you more about religion and your problems with religions not accepting others' way.

kristin said...

Hey AP!

I will call her today some time and ask her to write down the sushi rice recipe.

I love suki yaki (sp ????) too. That is all cooked and oh so yummy!

Lisa said...

Thanks, Kristin. Why was your night weird?

I'm out of here until later...everyone have a good day!

Robin in Montana said...

Good morning, everyone.

VERY funny conversation here last night - sorry I missed it!

Heather - I also agree wholeheartedly with what you say about religion. I've been through a bit of a wringer with religion this year and it's not over yet, I'm afraid. It's crazy how a religion that promotes the "we are the only way, period" viewpoint can get a hold on you and hold you with guilt even after you're gone. :(

Anyway. Off to school and to type. Will pop in later to see what sort of shenanigans anyone is up to.

kristin said...

Hey RiM! Have a good day!

Lindsay said...

Good morning! How's it going all?

kristin said...

Morning my Hip sista! How are you?

My Sparkling Life said...

Morning girls! Have a busy day ahead but just wanted to say hi and I'm so glad to be back.

kristin said...

Hey Heather! I am so glad you are back too!

Lindsay said...

Today, I'm feeling so hip, that I'm gonna put on my skinny jeans and boots to wear to work. And when I say skinny, I mean as skinny as can be when you are a little chubby. How's my other half this morning? LM sleep well?

Hey HiT!

My Sparkling Life said...

I am soooooooooooo sleepy this morning. 1 regular coffee and 1 espresso and no luck.

kristin said...

I'm on cup #3.

LM woke up at 3:00 and I laid in his room for a bit...maybe 15 minutes and he was back to sleep.

I really did not want to get up this morning. Plus it was nice and cold and that bed really didn't want me to leave it.

My Sparkling Life said...

This is not a good day for me to be sleeping. I'm brewing a pot now.....

Lindsay said...

I'm off to shower and get breakfast going for the kiddos. I'll check in later when I'm at work and have nothing to do!

My Sparkling Life said...

*sleepy not sleeping. See?

kristin said...

Sorry HiT!

See ya 'round Lindsay!

Robin in Montana said...

From Tasty Kitchen -- Roasted Tomato Soup with Chipotle Cream? Are you *kidding me? I want that right now.

Angie said...

Morning all! I'm late dragging my lazy ass in to work this morning. Went to bed at a reasonable time, then fast forwarded through four hours of Olympics, stopping to watch ice skaters, etc. Ended up being awake until almost 1:00 AM. Ugh!

Corinne, I need you to work your voodoo hex magic to oust that arrogant Russian male skater so our darling American guy withe the feathers can win! (Wasn't his costume amazing? Vera Wang designed it.) I thought the costume evoked Edward Scissorhands.

Angie said...

Oh, and HiT, I'm so glad you're here too!

Jill, still wondering where you've been hiding out. Check in!

kristin said...

Morning SW! That is about what time I went to bed.

I agree the Russian is a bit arrogant!

Angie said...

What did anybody think about the RV pregnancy announcement video? Is anybody besides me concerned that the McKinney's may be packing heat soon?

Robin in Montana said...

I can't see the video -- it just says unavailable.

Angie said...

Morning Kristin and Robin. Hmmm, I wonder why it's unavailable. How's the typing going so far this morning, Robin? Say something inspirational so I'll feel like working!

kristin said...

I'm about to do certified payroll. :) and I just finished up with regular payroll.

That is a scary thought SW.

It also looked like PC was not too thrilled with the announcement but b/c she had the camera going he couldn't flip out.

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- Typing? What typing? OOOHHHH!!! Yes, the *typing. Um. ER. It's going *well. Yes. Yes it is. lol.

Okay. Dammit. I have to finish two of them today. Or else I'll have to start a blog and start popping out sick kids. I wonder how Kelly would look in an fluffy fisherman sweater, and I wonder if I could convince him to stop working out and grow some man boobs?

Robin in Montana said...

Kristin -- that's what someone else said about RV. "A controlled freak-out." She videoed him so he'd have to control his reaction.

kristin said...

Exactly RiM! Poor RV!

Angie said...

Glad to hear the typing's going well, Robin! LOL

Have you showed Kelly pictures of RV in his sweater? I'd love to hear his reaction.

Robin in Montana said...

Oh, for the love of pete. Before when I went to JM's blog I was just looking for the video, but didn't read. Now I read and she says that this baby wasn't *planned? Well, maybe not by RV, but by the woman who has done nothing but prattle on for the last few months about wanting another baby? I smell a rat. lol.

kristin said...

Right RiM?

Oh, and make sure to get Kelly a condom cap! Maybe you could even get him to "wear" a baby doll :) get a nice shade of pink or purple :)

Robin in Montana said...

And if it really *was an accident and not an act of deception on her part, why would she be nervous to tell him? He was there when it happened, too, presumably.

Robin in Montana said...

Both good ideas, Kristin. Duly noted. Also he can quit his job and stay home while I go have coffee and type, so that will be nice.

kristin said...

don't forget to take pics of his toes when he goes and gets a pedi :)

and do everything in your power to emasculate him!

kristin said...

C & P from Facebook from JM:

Jennifer McKinney

Wow, my post about announcing our pregnancy to my husband has really brought out the bitter naysayers in the comments. Deep breath, people.

Angie said...

Wow, Kristin! Wonder what people are saying?

Anonymous said...

They're total trainwrecks. JM&IM, the sheeples, and someday (most likely, and sadly) the kids.

Anonymous said...

ooh, I'm going to twitter search it.
she can't delete the @mckmama's...

Anonymous said...

eh, sheeple are out & about on twitter, thinking she's fabulous. boring.

kristin said...

SW - I don't know. I know there is a way to look at comments without clicking...SG told us how but I don't remember now. :(

kristin said...

My boss sent us this link via e-mail:

http://www.investorsinsight.com/blogs/forecasts_trends/archive/2010/02/16/falling-global-birthrates-threaten-prosperity.aspx

E-mail titled Birth Rate Decline threatens Economy with this in the body of the text:

After reading the article from the above link, I think I'm going to organize a class action lawsuit against the birth control manufacturers. It appears that they are the root problem that is facing our economies.

Good article, good economic principals, difficult to turn around. Come on young people, lets get our there and spur some economic growth.....

I guess JM is just really trying to help the economy.

Angie said...

Here is one of the negative comments on Mck’s blog:

"I don't believe it, seems like the minute Stellan got well, you got to making baby #5. Got to keep the MckCash machine rollin'. There's not such thing as an "oops baby". I've been intimate with my husband for 17 yrs, and we have 2 children, and have only tried to have a baby twice! Got pregnant on the first try too, so we are most certainly fertile. Seriously, you know how this works."

She responded:

"I usually resist commenting, but just couldn't this time. I LOOOOOVE comments like this. As if raising a child from infancy to age 18 and beyond to college isn't going to cost us MORE money than we will supposedly "make" off our fifth baby on my blog!? Heehee. I mean, the only people who KNOW we are pregnant are the people who ALREADY read my blog. So it's not like I am going to have more readers (and more money) just because I'm pregnant. I just honestly do not get this "argument" at all and it makes me laugh SO hard every time someone uses it."

I'm glad she is getting such jollies from the negativity! Bet she's back crying in her closet right now!

Angie said...

Morning Ann!

Anonymous said...

hey!

well she needs stories to keep clicks going right?

no new baby, life continues on, there's really very little reason to read.

I call bullshit on her LOVING comments like those. if she thrived on the negative ones, why delete them? stupid hairy bitch.

Angie said...

LOL at "hairy bitch"!

kristin said...

LMAO Ann!

You've been missed :)

Shannon said...

Ok now with the hairy bitch comment I have to chuckle and add in my two cents about her being so abnormally hairy and needing 4 razors for her thighs.

Seriously I NEVER shave my thighs....I dont grow hair on my thighs so I dont have to worry about it. Hell I barely grow hair on my legs at that, just on the shin and ankles LOL. Now my ex's wife is much hairier than I am and even when she does her monthly shave, hehehehe, she never needs 4 razors for the job.

Is JM the missing link perhaps?

And the video of her telling RV about #5....watching that video with the volume off his body language does NOT convey happiness. I saw panic and WTF all over him. And at the end it was like the resolve of what is he gonna do?

Angie said...

Hi Shannon! I'm the same as you re non-hairy thighs. LOL re "missing link"! She was totally making that up trying to be funny. Hopefully!

Karen said...

Morning everyone!!

Shannon said...

Hi SW.....well I think that JM really needs some acting classes as she hasnt got a clue on how to convey or interpret emotions LOL

Shannon said...

Morning Karen

Karen said...

Hey Shannon - missed you last night!

Shannon said...

Ugh I get to leave soon to go get Chris' cast this morning. I keep teasing him that I am going to have the doctor give him bright pink or rainbow....he isnt thinking that is a good plan LOL

kristin said...

Morning Karen!

Shannon - that was my interpretation too. He didn't seem to thrilled about it...and wtf am I going to do now attitude was clear. Along with, I really want to scream WTF but you have the camera on so I can't do anything.

Shannon said...

I kinda made it an early night last night....got up too early yesterday and did it again today LOL

Shannon said...

LOL No kidding Kristin.....I bet he was screaming it on the inside. That whole thing would have been much different if there was no camera involved. Pretty obvious he would have been much happier with a bullet.

Karen said...

I agree Kristin - he was not thrilled with the news, or with the fact that she had the camera in his face, and it cracked me up that she made him feel inside the box, pick up the "object" and feel it - see if he could figure it out... she is so freaking annoying!

What color is he going to get Shannon? He's 16 right?

kristin said...

So true Shannon. Much happier with a bullet.

Shannon said...

Yeah he is 16....he is leaning toward red so we shall see. Kinda hoping he has healed a lot and wont need the cast but then again it is his knuckle and I really want that healed up nicely.

Shannon said...

Ya know when RV did the whole rubbing his head thing I envisioned my husband.....he would have yelled "serenity now" and yelled about how the fuck are we supposed to take on another baby at this point??!!!! Considering as how in her blog she stated he was done after Maisie and then came Stellan I can only imagine how he is feeling right now.

She really makes me feel sorry for him sometimes.

kristin said...

and I'm sure he didn't say "silly rabbit". I would've loved to have "heard" what was said after the cameras quit rolling.

Karen said...

probably more like sonofabitch - not silly rabbit!

Shannon will the xray him first to see how its healing? i guess you should be extra careful with a knuckle, since he's so young and probably still growing and stuff.. Hope it doesn't hurt!!

Shannon said...

Ok ladies I am gonna run...gotta shower and get ready for the casting....fun fun.

Maybe I will see if I can get a pic of it and post it later.

Lindsay said...

Hi! At work = slow and boring. Gah - I hope this economy picks up. Go out and make some babies so I will have job security!!!!

I will try my best to make sure this is my only negative nelly comment of the day. Did anyone else wonder if RV really thought it was a bullet? I mean, with a conviction of DV, you can't really have a firearm, can you??

Karen said...

Good question Linsay - I know that you have to fill out some type of questions and they do background checks, maybe DV isn't enough to keep you from getting a gun, but it should be - just what we need is people who have committed DV having a gun!

Karen said...

**LinDsay - sorry!!

What kind of job do you have LinDsay? LOL

Robin in Montana said...

Hey all - I just talked to BD and she says to tell everyone hello, that she is thinking of all of you, and that when she gets to feeling better from her surgery that she'd like to pop in and say hi. I told her we'd love to have her. :-D

Lindsay said...

No worries Karen :P I work for my dad part time doing office work. I get to choose my own schedule, which is nice, and sometimes can even take the kids with me. It's electronics sales, and let's just say, people aren't really buying projectors for their home theatres right now :) I just hope that it gets better for him, though, really. I want him to be able to retire. He has dreams that I'll take over the business and keep it in the family, but I'm just not sure about that yet. I've always felt he wanted that - even if he never said it out loud, but last week he mentioned it to me. It's hard. I love being home with the kids, and helping out at school. Arrrgh. I bet you didn't think you'd get a novel out of me, did you :P

Anonymous said...

Hello, Is it Friday yet?

Lindsay, it's great that your job is so flexible.

RiM, say hello to BD for me, too.

kristin said...

Christy - I wish it were!

Lindsay - that is great that you have that flexibility but sorry that you are concerned about his business and where you stand as far as its future. That has to be difficult.

Karen said...

Robin - tell BD hello from me - and hope that she heals quick! Two surgeries so close together has to take alot out of you!! Hope she joins us soon!

Lindsay - that would be tuff, if that is your dad's dream of you taking over, to not really want to do it... I am definately job hunting, but anything to do with electronics, or with accounting, are two things I am NOT interested in! Or with loans and mortgages... I want something I at least enjoy!

Angie said...

Holy crap, Robin! It would be so awesome to have BD come to visit us! Hurry up and feel better, BD!!! ::waving::

Angie said...

Lindsay, I hope sales turn around for your Dad too. Times are too tough.

Robin in Montana said...

SW -- I know, right? I told her as much. :)

Lindsay said...

I feel so badly. BD is still fighting her health. RiM, I'm sure she won't remember me, but tell her I'm sending good thoughts!

Karen - job hunting is really hard right now! I have a girlfriend who is going to school to be a teacher, and she's started working as a para-educator, but she wants a part time job to make ends meet. No luck even for a part time job!

Lindsay said...

Thanks guys. It is tough out there. I am so lucky that hubby has a stable job - he is in construction and he does nearly all the construction and maintenance on *all of Bill Gates' local homes (okay mansions) and at least Bill is still spending money even if nobody else is!

Angie said...

And while there's certainly a special place in my heart for BD -- 'cause, come on, the girl is fantastic, right? -- I'm sure most everybody here would agree with me that ANYBODY who pops in from SIP to say Hi will get a warm welcome. Those of us who aren't on SIP miss you and would love for you to stop by.

Karen said...

No good Lindsay - I'm hoping to find full time... and hoping to find it soon! The only thing is when I work full time, not sure what Ang is going to do with Tay every day... I wish I was independentl wealthy!!! Then I could just stay home and play all day!

Karen said...

SW agree - LOVE BD but also love all the other women over at SIP and would be happy that they were posting both places!

Robin in Montana said...

Karen -- Powerball is tonight. Just sayin'. :-D

Lindsay said...

You'll find something Karen. Or you'll win the lottery. Or you'll come into some inheritance. Either way, I'm sure it will all work out :)

Anonymous said...

Hi all!

SW- I agree with you re:SIP members saying hi to us. Just because we left doesn't mean we don't miss you (well, most of you) ;)

Did you see Brian Joubert, the French skater, who completely failed his short program and thus lost all hopes of winning a medal?

You have no idea how happy that made me :D

Robin in Montana said...

::admires Corinne's little mean streak::::

:)

kristin said...

I agree and was going to use my duct tape but I have to say that I personally would not *welcome everyone but I can play nice :)

Karen said...

The lottery..... Hmmmm!

No chance of inheritance! My poor mom is having her own issues, and my dad is already gone... So I guess I better play powerball - sounds so much easier than finding a job and working every day!

Tay is up - going to get him and make him something yummy for lunch - see you all later!

Anonymous said...

RiM- Lol. I can be *really but I try to behave most of the time :p

Angie said...

Hi Corinne! Be sure and catch up because I directed a very important comment to you above.

Yes, I see that your hex on the French worked last night, good job! Now scroll up for your next mission!

kristin said...

Okay...so what would you think if you received a catalog - very nice catalog - with play equipment and inside the front cover:

"If there is a tool for children to build their dream of future. Isn't that could be a good teacher for our children? ....."

WOW - Just WOW! The partners and I were laughing at this catalog...the whole catalog is written like this.

Anonymous said...

*really mean

kristin said...

Corinne - have I told you I really like you :)

Anonymous said...

SW- I'll try my best - especially since I hate the Russians (promise you won't be mad if it fails though? ok?)

And I agree his costume was amazing!!

kristin said...

Here's another good one:

"Playing and having fun is good but plus that with having the educational influence is even better."

Whoever wrote this needs a little more education.

I know that English isn't their first language but I would hire someone to proofread.

Angie said...

Oh, and you "mean girls" need to hush. (And you are all banned from the welcoming committee.) Hmph.

Anonymous said...

Kristin- I like you too! =)

kristin said...

Is this a word?

Edu-developmize

Anonymous said...

SW- Ooooh, I've never been banned from anything. Although, I banned myself from Sip, does it count?

Anonymous said...

Isn't this a no duct tape forum?

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Hmmm...I don't think so!

Robin in Montana said...

Christy -- depends on what you're using the duct tape for, I think. ::nods::

Angie said...

You are right, of course, Christy. I'm just hoping we can coax some kittens out from under the porch. (I love kittens.)

Angie said...

My mind always seems to go straight to the gutter when Robin makes comments like that. Fair, or not fair? :-)

Robin in Montana said...

Not fair. I am the epitome of prudishness.

Plus rope works better. No messy residue.

kristin said...

OMG - this is amusing!

"Vis-Imaginize the new fantasia dreams."

"Edu-developmize the young fresh minds."

"Mo-futurize the hope to happen."

YIKES!

kristin said...

and I can play nice..I promise!

Angie said...

Seriously? Rope burns, in a bad way. And is hard to get untied in the event of a cramp. ::cough fur-lined cuffs cough::

Anonymous said...

Yeah, right RiM :)

My Sparkling Life said...

Duct tape? ::ears perk up::

Anonymous said...

Alright. I just watched Mck's video re:IM finding out about numero cinco.

Either he already knew and this is another staged video of hers or he is displeased with the news. Probably both. JMO

Robin in Montana said...

Christy -- I'm hurt. ::winces::

SW - fur lined cuffs, you say? I assume you've just "heard" that; right?

Anonymous said...

I hate when I can't spend more time with you all but I have to write a paper on 'The Leviathan' by Thomas Hobbes and I should probably start working if I don't want to stay up all night ;)

Don't have too much fun without me!

kristin said...

Have fun Corinne - I meant to ask, how did you mom like the jewelry and how was the party?

I know you are leaving, so answer when you can. Just didn't want to forget again!

Anonymous said...

Kristin- My mom liked the party and she *loved her gifts. We all got her a piece of jewelry and my dad is also taking her to Seville in a little over a week so that made her happy.

She is super depressed about being 50 though!

Thanks for asking :)

And now, I'm really off. See you tomorrow!
