Irish Twins?

Thought we could use a new post and a possible chuckle.

So, am I crazy or could these two be Irish twins?

 Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ftr, I know I'm not using "Irish twins" correctly. It's a holiday and I'm trying to go with it. Work with me.

Well, they certainly look like a pair of doofusses. Who's the guy on the left?

Re Rhys and the lack of updates: I seem to remember a statement somewhere that they'd been advised by counsel not to make any "public" statements. This would include posting on the Intarwebz, I should think. It might not make sense -- what harm could come from, "Lia's better every day, here's where the legal stuff is" -- but I think I'd be in the "better safe than sorry" radio silence mindset. Do nothing that might possibly be used against, etc.

C'mon spring!!

Leave me alone i'm having a bad week!

Who picked on you, Trudy? :-P

Sonic, I get what you're saying and if my attorney told me to say nothing, not even a positive sentence here or there, I, too, would not have. What has concerned me about that is *why an attorney would say that. Typically, if you are in position where people are asking questions, they will help you devise some safe answers that will satisfy people..."She's doing *so much better and we are truly blessed that God answerred our prayers" or "I can't tell you the joy we feel to see her feeling so much better!" Better yet, play up the whole defense that the new treatment for mitochondrial disease worked and it wasn't about Rhys hurting her at all. "It's nothing short of a miracle that the doctors found a treatment that helped her so much in such a short period of time!" This whole "say nothing" thing normally signals guilt. Now, I'm not saying Rhys is guilty of anything at all. In fact, I still have great trouble with that idea and am not convinced she's not been a victim of an overzealous, over-reactive doctor at Seattle Children's. They have one of those there, I found out. But I do know that innocent parents will generally insist on proclaiming their innocence and their attorneys will generally help them craft safe ways of doing so.

The guy on the left is Tickle from the TV show Moonshiners. I can't watch it, or him, without making this connection every damn time. :-D http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/moonshiners/videos/tickles-first-sip-and-a-christmas-memory.htm

Wow, he resembles IM even more in those videos. :D

I dunno about that business of not saying anything for the Franks. This is a child welfare case. After years of erring on the side of "keeping the family together" (resulting in several dead children), DSHS (child welfare in the state of Washington) is very touchy. Going public in the media can be/usually is an attempt to use the court of public opinion to sway a decision; that very likely would backfire horribly. Thus the caution.

I don't think silence = guilt, any more than talkativeness = innocence. Seems to me there's an equal chance that she's guilty, or the timing of the cure was coincidental and a doc at the hospital overreacted. We may never know, unfortunately.

It makes me sick to my stomach that MckBS is spouting that her magic beans cures autism. Makes me sick. Some poor mom who blames herself is going to give her kid that crap. Ugh.

Trudy said...

Grabbing my smokes- flippin off mckmama and running.

Run Trudy Run!!!

Sonic said...

Sandy, I'm sickened by that too, along with all the crazy medical claims (diabetic cancer! speech development delay! fibro! flat feet!). I'm pretty sure a lot of that comes from other higher-ups -- not the company itself (that would put it in the fraud category and thus actionable) but by distributors higher in the food chain. NONE of these people ever cite studies, research, etc., just "someone I know". Deliberately playing on the fears and desperation of these parents. They have ZERO ethics/morals/conscience/decency. To me that's one of the biggest downers of MLMs: they all promote this kind of pie-in-the-sky crap for one reason: $$$. They are beyond disgusting.

*tosses Trudy a pack of smokes for the road*

Sandy said...

This is the second time that I've heard her or one of her minions bring up the autism cure. My daughter is autistic and surely if there was a "cure", I'd be on it like white on rice.

It is beyond disgusting.

Lisa said...

"Wow, he resembles IM even more in those videos. :D "

See??? Told y'all so.

I agree we will probably never know about Rhys and Lia. In the end, nothing changes two facts we *do know...it's so very sad a family has been split apart and it's equally as wonderful that Lia is doing so well, last we knew, and had hope again! I hope both do nothing but improve as the years pass.

Sandy, I am *so with you about what Jennifer is doing...what they're all doing. It is ugly and mean and makes me hope very hard that karma really exists. Better yet, I like the Three-Fold Rule on this one...whatever harm you do, it will come back on you three-fold. Don't get me wrong, I think the juice won't do any harm to anyone if theyv'e been accurate about the ingredients, but I also don't think it's going to help a lot. The rest? Could easily conflict with existing meds and cause issues. People have this foolish idea that if something is an herb or "natural", if can't do any harm but the fact is, anything that can do *good has to also be able to do harm in the (im)proper set of circumstances. Between this and her financial dealings, coupled with her piss-poor mothering as of late, I really do find her one of the most disgusting human beings I've encountered in a long time.

Lisa said...

The other thing that strikes me is, where are her folks? I know she's a grown-assed woman but if my folks had an online presence, and we know her dad does, at least, they would be sooo shamed of me and would be saying so. I can hear my dad's voice in my head now, saying "We love mour daughter dearly but I'd like everyone to know her mother and I don't agree with choices she has made. We do not condone or support those choices, she was raised to do what we feel is better, but it doesn't change how much we love her as our child." Why in the world are we not hearing something like this from her dad? I do not get that.

Lisa said...

Yeah, those typos? We go hand in hand.

BINGO! FIRE! Elle

Sonic said...

Oh nonono, not a mere fire -- a ravaging, erupting fire that took all, literally all, of the chidren's toys and the insurance company still has to decide if the house is a total loss from this attic fire, the only external evidence of which is a blue tarp used to cover the hole the firemen made to vent it.

Translation: ginormous balloon payment due in two weeks, kiddos! We're outta here!

Disclaimer: I in no way endorse the opinion held by some that the fire was not an accident. I just admire the swiftness with which the McKs turn these things to their advantage, and the general shit-don't-stick-to-them tenor of their lives.

Omg that video was hysterical. She certainly was into the sauce! I'd be so embarrassed. She has done much worse than that and not cared. I can't believe how much drama one person can have. I bet she has had more than 25 people would have in their lifetime combined! What shit luck she has.

Lisa said...

That video was sort of my own worst nightmare come true. I had a hard time watching it at first but then got tickled as all get-out over it. I know one thing...JM has put an end to any desire I may have ever had, not that it was much, to be "famous" or well-known on the internet or anything. I'm pretty damn tough and things roll off easily but I don't know that I could deal with having to watch my every move so I don't become a public spectacle to the extent she has. And I do feel very sorry for her kids as they get older and find all this crap out about her.

Sandy said...

Aw crap, I missed something didn't I?

Sandy said...

GAH! I will never get those few minutes of my life back. Back to stitching.

Lisa said...

Sandy, there are worse things you could have done in those few minutes, though!

Sandy said...

True

Well I finally broke down and watched the video. I didn't see why it's a big deal. The woman has no rhythm and looks awkward as hell but so what? They all look kind of silly - it's like watching older people trying to dance and be cool at a wedding reception. I also don't think that she's drunk. I used to work as a waitress in a hotel bar many years ago, so trust me - I know drunks when I see 'em ;)

Still dead. Well, except for that person up there with a scheme, lol. Don't click on that link, anyone...just accept that we're formidable in our silence and let it go. ;-)

Anon 3:02, what you really need to do is compare that video of her against other videos of her out there. I still vote drunk. And really, she's a mid-30's mom of 5 and if she acted in that manner while sober, then it's really more concerning than her being drunk and acting that way. Either way, it was amusing as hell!

Hi ladies.
I'm drinking sangria on my sofa, and watching the People's court on DVR.
Both kids went to bed at 7:30, and my husband is hanging with his buddies out in our woods at a campfire. Life is good!!! How is everyone? Oh yeah: I had another baby since I last posted. Just call me Michelle Duggar...I'm having them surgically removed from me on a yearly basis!!

Cute baby :-P

Lisa said...

Hiya, Sandy, how are you?

Julia Duggar...lovely. ;-)

String, what in the world do you think you can get for a dime? And where can I see a baby?

Anyone have any new and exciting gossip that MWOP isn't covering? I've always said that Jennifer is ghettofabulous and her use of "thick" just cinched that for me. It's nice to be validated. ;-)

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Easy, in the '60s :-) I got a rocket pop :-))
And Julia's baby is cute. I'm pretty sure :-)
Are the street lights on yet? 'Cuz I gotta go home then.

I don't post pictures of my kids on the internet. Don't need Tina plastering them all over.
I did just send you an email to your daisy address so you can get a look at my new guy. String: if you are interested, I can send you one! Just need your email!

Anonymous said...

@anonymous - I also stop by here to see if there is anything new about Lia. I hope she is doing well. If anyone has information, please share.

It was mentioned on MWOP awhile ago that Lia was still doing well. But no further information was given. I want to say it was within the last month or so.

Is everyone as terrified as I am that Tina is shutting down bwop? Who is going to police the internets?

Lisa said...

Holy hell, someone actually commented here. I don't think anyone cares any more about BWOP than this place. No great loss to anyone. A bunch of us will just have to police the internets as lone wolves. ;-)

Well, hi! How's it going, Julia? How are the kids? And hi, String! :-)

Nah, this picture can stay. MWOP pretty well covers all things Israel and Jennifer, plus a bunch.

Anyone still read/post here? There's another miracle of miracles by a former OHIH poster - and some of the other former blogs too - wondered if anyone here had opinions? Or even heard of it? Or believe it?

Lisa said...

Are you talking about Tee? Yes, I heard about her "miracle". Do I believe it? Nope. Maybe that makes me mean or something but I can live with that.

Anonymous said...

I never thought there was anything wrong in the first place - that, the constant kidney issues, blah blah blah.... I think 99.9% of all she complained about was all made up for sympathy... Which I don't give out unless someone is *real*

Anonymous said...

Couldnt agree more!!! Seriously she should have been dead by now from the way she talked back on OHIH. Add to that that she had been denied pain meds way too many times at the ER it just was not believable at all. I do not believe that a hospital is going to deny a terminal patient medication to ease their pain as well as not admitting them to the hospital. I guess it does explain her father's hostility towards her.....the drama would be way too much to deal with every single day.

Anonymous said...

You've GOT to be kidding me?! Tee?? And how can I not sleuth up anything current on her? What in the world is she claiming happened to "save" her? Hints as to where I can find this latest?

Any update on Rhys and family? Or, I guess, really - on Lia? I've not found anything in awhile.

Lisa said...

All I know, since she unfriended me long ago, is that she is miraculously healed now and is making it clear it's a miracle. She suddenly, from one hour to the next, was able to stand up,walk around, dance, etc. No muscle atrophy or anything, apparently. Last I heard, she hadn't gone to let her doctor know or anything, either. It's just a miracle. And if you aren't FB friends with you or know someone who is, you can't find it.

No word on Lia, either, which does make me sad...so many of us cared so much for that little girl. I don't care so much about Rhys and Dave but would love to know how Lia and Zaya are doing.

Lol, they may yet! I was actually going to close this place up tonight, end it wirh the year, but bow I'm thinking I'll leave it open a bit longer in case a few of the OHIH oldtimers want to stop by and say hi.
