Too bad, I don't seem to know any string songs.

String...I think in songs, too. I get it. Totally. :)

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Aww, thanks, Anonymous :-)
Robin, isn't it odd? I will have a song in my head without realizing it, and then realize it's totally related to whatever is going on, or what I've been talking/thinking about.
Heh, I like it that you do it too :-))

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Apropos de nada, une chanson para tu :-)
Hey dum diddly dum,
Hey dum diddly dum,
Hey dum diddly,
Hey dum diddly,
Hey dum diddly dum.
Trust me, if you knew the tune, this would stick in your head.

I keep thinking I'm having heart palpitations, but I think it's my fetus moving around. Weird. At least I hope it's not heart palpitations. Shit, maybe I'm dying. String, is there a song for that?

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Oh chit, Julia, don't ask me! I'm not a doctor :-P

Anonymous said...

Well, I didn't see that coming, JM is done with her blog

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Yes, well, maybe Mickey D's will pick it up :-)) she says. Or maybe her naysayers :-)

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Here you go, Julia, from Mariah -

There goes, there goes,
There goes my heart again.
There goes my heart again.
Baby, baby, baby, baby,
There goes my heart again.

Lisa said...

Julia, you have a fetus? Did I miss this announcement somewhere along the lines or did I acknowledge it and forget? Or are you announcing it right now? However it falls, congratulations!!

So, JM's fucking herself over even harder by totally devaluing the blog by closing it up some two weeks before her next bankruptcy hearing. Well, *that will just about guarantee a trial and a particularly pissed off trustee, won't it? The hell, does she *want to be in jail? As for Israel being back...Jesus, I gave him way too much credit. Any damn day now she's going to be pregnant. *sighs*

Oh, and...
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Just remember the more she says how great it is, the less true that is.

Lisa said...

Or, wait, is it possible the trustee made her shut it down so it could be sold now? Huh.

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Awwww, Lisa ♥♥♥ Strings :-))

StringOfRandomLetters said...

It could be either one, IMO. She's great at shooting herself in the foot for no apparent reason (except maybe a childish spite?)
OR maybe this is all starting to happen.
Though I personally don't think she'll have any dire consequences.

Anonymous said...

Lisa:
I don't think I made a big announcement. I just got done being pregnant, and am pregnant again. so it all kind of blurs to me. Fortunately, at 19 weeks, I haven't gained any weight, which with my first I'd already gained 20 pounds at this point. I'm 5'2 and weighed around 130 before I had firsty, so I was afraid I'd top the scales at 200 lbs this time. I know you shouldn't be obsessed with weight while pg, but man, my face is fat. Really fat!! This will be my last.
In regards to Mck: Ill believe she's gone when I see it.

Palpitating. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow: I'll get myself an EKG and make sure I'm not dying. My husband would be pissed if I died and left him with 2 kids under 2

"Lisa ♥♥♥ Strings"

Awww, shaddup! *kicks dirt*

You know, I hope she has dire consequences but I am not going to be a bit shocked if somehow, some way, she slides out of this with nothing but the bankruptcy being denied. I did have a passing wonder if perhaps they're realizing she could go to jail and they want Israel in the house, settled in, so it's less shocking to the kids. But, in the end, I'm just a dreamer.

Julia, you think she'll crop up with another blog when the bankruptcy is over? And you're smart, imo, having your kids close together. I'll have my fingers crossed you don't gain a pound more than you have to, as well. :-)

Anonymous said...

She's not done. Mark my words, ladies. She's way too much of an attention hound. The mere fact that she finished up that spiel with, "But you can keep in touch on my FB page...." Not.done.at.all.

Jennifer never does anything without a motive.

And there you go. That's one thing I think everyone can agree on. As an aside, hopefully this will serve to give Anja a break, too.

I'm sure I'm fine. I'm just being a bit dramatic. I'm pretty sure it's moving baby.
Lisa: I know I'll lose baby weight, but I love to eat food, and hate to watch what I eat and all. That's the sucky part.
Mck will be back. No way she can live without adoration and attention from strangers.

Would some wonderful homemade p.b. help?

Wonder what Barb and Tina will do now?

Anonymous said...

Aw yay Julia, I'm a big fan of having them close together :)

Lisa said...

Julia, they always have NieNie. Alternately, maybe they could combat bullying in real life. They could get a mascot kind of like McGruff The Crime Dog or something and get famous!

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Mascot=BooMbooM ain't it great to be crazy :-)

Lisa said...

Ha! I translated that one, String! Of course, you basically drew us (okay, me) a picture but hey, it's a start. ;-)

You know, nothing is really going to change with her blog shutting down. I mean, it's been all but shut down for ages now...I'm thinking Barb ought not give up on her blog quite yet.

StringOfRandomLetters said...

I can't really see her stopping unless MWOP shuts down, no matter what she says.
Bet JMs blog is getting a lot of hits from people wondering if it's gone yet ;-)
And I wonder if the bankruptcy court realizes she has McKmoomoo AND mycharm...kids. I don't know enough about it to know if it matters.

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Never mind on that last wondering. The court knows about both.

Hi there, I was told to come to this site and tell my story. There is a lady name Tina on bwop that is posting comments that were not written by me. She has posted my name too? I do not read that site. I do post on mwop. This woman has taken it upon herself to single me out. I do not understand. I posted on bwop to tell her to stop using my name. Now she is posting comments that are not from me. She even said she was worried about her safety! She said I told he I know where you live. Has anyone here had problems with her? What should I do to stop her?

Anonymous said...

Tina is nuts, she us the self appointed bully crusader. Sadly she is one if the biggest bullies out there. She picks people and harasses them relentlessly until they have had enough and either go under cover or disappear all together. I'm sorry she is targeting you, but I am nog sure what you think anyone here can do. She is all types of crazy.

Anonymous said...

Sorry

Anonymous said...

I know of quite a few who went underground on Tina's last go round. Daisy used to be a hopping place until Tina decided posting pictures of people's houses, names and places of employment was a good idea. She's a nut ball to be sure and the best advice is not to engage. You can't win with a crazy person.

Shannon said...

I'm sorry that you are her newest target. She and BMM are the types that feed their self righteousness by 'exposing' those they feel have done wrong. Keep in mind now that nothing that they ever do is wrong. In fact when she had her little thing going with names and pictures she did it to one gal who NEVER had anything bad to say about anyone but because she DARED post here she was fair game.

There isnt much anyone here can do because BBC and there is just a bit more of it in some then others :)

Anonymous said...

Ditto on what everyone else said re: Tina. I'm not shocked that she's posting to her own blog using other people's names. I may be wrong but I think BMM's heart is in the right place even if she's a over zealous. I'm sure if BMM knew the things that Tina has done she would want no part of bwop.

Lisa said...

Ahhh, you must be L., Anon 4:58. Look, Tina is who she is and really, there's not a lot you can do to stop her or anyone else from posting anything they like. The same laws, or lack thereof, that protect MWOP also protect her and her blog. Also, the more freaked out you are by this and the more reaction she gets, the more she'll keep it up. That's how bullies work and yes, I know Tina will read that and that's okay. At the same time, she needs to remember her own name is out there now and with it, it's not hard to find all sorts of info on her, as well. Now, that's no threat on my part, as I don't really give a good goddamn what she does anymore to others...learned a harsh lesson on that before, trying to protect some from her and LuLu back ages ago and having it bite me in my ass. But there may be a bit of protection for those who are scared in the fact her own info is out there now. Personally, I'd advise you to just not worry over it and let it go. I mean, you can't prove you didn't write those and it's super easy to fake being another person online, which most intelligent people know. Just trust that those who know you believe you and try to not let it get to you. You're most welcome to hang out here, tell your story and anything else you wish, but there's really not a lot we can do here to help you or anyone else, you know?

Lisa said...

6:55, I agree about Barb...she's being used.

"In fact when she had her little thing going with names and pictures she did it to one gal who NEVER had anything bad to say about anyone but because she DARED post here she was fair game."

That? Still pisses me off.

Shannon said...

Still pisses me off too if you cant tell. Wasnt right at all. Guilt by association? Really? Bullshit if you ask me. People can go where ever they want to online really, we all know Tina has done her share, but to target someone who didnt do anything but chat on a board? That to me shows who the bullies really are.

You also said it best about Tina and the like. If you jump up and down making a scene about something all it does is fuel her fire.

Lisa said...

Well, if it turns into anything like that again, it's liable to be very, very interesting considering the number of people who would be involved this time. Should we lay in snacks, cheap rum and Schlitz, do you think?

Shannon said...

I think we should :) Lawn chairs and tubetops all around....string can bring some of those fancy Leggs hats

I have an attorney investigating Tina Lanclos Wards online behavior. He is working on serving her a civil suit for defamation of character, and harassment. Although posting online isn't a criminal offense, anyone can bring a civil suit for anything. I've got time and money, and I'm sick of her bullshit.

Sandy said...

Schlitz? Shall I order the keg? I'll run down to the gas station and get us some cheetos. Maralboro Reds anyone? Lisa, I'll get your recliner out of storage. Shannon, lawn chair or hammock?

Shannon said...

I think a keg is definitely in order and cases of Cheetos :) I think a hammock would be much more comfortable then a lawn chair especially after a lawn chair lead to me seeing a chiropractor for weeks LOL

Cant argue with the time and money LOL I just hate to see someone who was worse then the worse acting so high and mighty and better then everyone. She was, and really still is, a ring leader.

I do agree about Barb to a degree. She may be overzealous but I do think her heart is in the right place and she sees Tina as being someone of the same mind only because she has never seen how she was not so very long ago.

Lisa said...

Sandy, grab my old vinyl recliner, will you? The rain won't hurt it anymore and it's big enough for two if we squoosh. And yep, better get a keg or two, since I have a funny feeling we might be needing it. Are those kegs bulletproof, by chance?

"I'll bring the deviled eggs, or would you prefer pickled herring?"

Hey, 8:25, while I appreciate the spirit you've got there, couldn't that money be spent on something more worthwhile? 'Cause I know you have to know she's not doing anything legally wrong, at least that I've seen. Then again, it's not my money so hey...what do I know?

Lol @ the appropriateness of those choices. I've never had pickled herring.

Shannon said...

I think with the choice I am going to have to pick the eggs.....just please someone watch me because I will eat them all if left unsupervised LOL

Sandy said...

I'll try to pick up those plastic rain ponchos and hats. Don't want our tube tops or hair getting wet.

Shannon said...

Oh no cant have that because tubetops are already precariously perched and if our Leggs get wet we may suffocate

I don't give a rat's ass about them revealing anyone's real name, but I WOULD love to know if anyone from OHIO is still posting at mwop/bwop under their fake names. I don't know..just to make a "connection". I feel so out of touch with those boards now. Like I'm a stranger. Some of you guys are great at noticing writing styles & can tell if someone you "know" is posting under another name.

Pickled herring & cheetos please :-P with a bottle of some kind of white wine. Don't like beer. Hammock would be great. And I'm knitting the L'Eggs hats as I speak :-)

Is that Susan Boyle song from Les Miserables? Anyone more cultured than me? I had no idea, but just saw an ad for the movie. I might have to go see that.

Awww, I'm glad you'll have one of each, Julia! So will Jill. :-)

"And to think that I defended TLW a while back."

Oh, I still will...at least a bit. I rather admire people who are persistent and don't back down from something they feel strongly about, all while making me chuckle. I feel that way about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, too. Sarah Palin and Lil Wayne, too.

8:54, I'm pretty sure a few from OHIH are still there, but I don't know what names they may be using but for one, Heather in Texas, because I saw her use that name there. It's been a long time since I've seen her, though.

You know, I don't care what people say about kids as long as the kids won't ever see it. Maybe I lack a sensitivity gene or something but a private blog? Have at it, as far as I'm concerned. If the kids ever see it, it'll be the fault of the one who leaked it out, not the one who said it.

Between the pickled herring and the deviled eggs, we're certainly going to be a noxiously gassy bunch soon.

I was just reading over at MWOP and I can't believe no one made the (possible, anyway) connection of a Mel4Him posting there and Tina thanking a "Mel" for babysitting BWOP while she was gone. Or, maybe they did make the connection and just didn't say it out loud. Ah, well, could be a coincidence, too...

We need new gossip, I think. ;-)

Anonymous said...

Is there a "Mel" or is "Mel" the same one that posted as "LT". Now that her name is out there it’s just a matter of time before she claims that someone sent an FB message to her kids with a link to bwop, then the FBI and Interpol will be called in to investigate. I can't comprehend why she keeps this going. She does not like certain people she's met on line and vice versa (insert Just Walk Away Renee lyrics here).

Hi fellow Daisies. I just wanted to say I'd love to read along and contribute here, since I think the situations with Rhys and JM are probably both pretty snark-and-conversation-worthy and figure there's a lot more to be heard on both of those stories. That said, it's damn hard to have any kind of intelligent, or even silly/fun/snarky conversation when you have BB1 and BB2 (BB = bats in the belfry) insisting on carrying on some kind of demented Hee-Haw sing-a-long. Anyone else tired of trying to figure out any kind of rhyme or reason to it? Or picturing someone sitting in their dirty pink sweatpants eating Cheetos and drinking Big Gulps of Mountain Dew laughing maniacally and humming along as they post their deranged ditties here, imagining anyone else finds anything even remotely entertaining or interesting from them?

Time for your jello and your meds, BB1 and BB2.

Technically I think it's Big GULP (all CAPS, ahem) but as I remember it the girls here drink Schlitz. As for BB it reminds me of a song:

Oh it's full of nasty habits when the bitch gets back

The :::twirling around in sequined tube-tops::: and incessant jabbering about Schlitz and Cheetos, regularly peppered with the Kornfield Kounty nonsense are exactly why this blog really hasn't ever taken off again. Any time anything of any actual content comes up it's drowned out in this kind of babble that only a very few want to participate in, much like the nerds at a high school dance who lack the social skills to actually engage in the dance, so turn to birdbrain banter that no one but them thinks is funny or wants to engage in.

Too bad, since there are some awfully smart, sharp, and funny people hanging around who, if they didn't have to wade through the absurdity, would probably love to be part of an interesting and engaging blog.

And before you all start shaking your jello cups at me and telling me to go elsewhere if I don't like it, take a second to ask yourself how many people ever post here any more with any degree of regularity, and if you take out all the Loony Lawrence Welk show posts and all the posts with twirling and beer and orange snack foods, what are you left with? Not a hell of a lot. Which is pretty sad, given how this blog (and others before it) once was.

I'm all for any subject that will result in actual thoughts being presented that offer something that in turn can be followed with another thought being presented. Just like a real grown-up conversation! Talk amongst yourselves and see if you can't think of something. It'll be like a little thinking exercise.

~Lauren Who Speaks Truth ~

Anonymous said...

OK I'll start. What if the world really is flat?

Anonymous said...

Tsk, tsk. That's not an actual subject that generates conversation, since even people with addled brains generally know the answer to that, and once you've answered it (no is the answer, btw, although there are some very, very flat locations in the world) there's not much else to chat about. Unless you wonder if Christopher Columbus and Queen Isabella were bumping fuzzies behind King Ferdinand's back.

That was a good attempt, though. Keep trying, you'll get the hang of this yet!

Nah, I threw down the challenge to y'all first. If you're happy with the four or five of you yammering on about Schlitz and tube-tops, humming along to the manic melodies, and feel that can keep you enthralled for a sustained period of time, you don't need to accept that challenge personally, of course, and I won't judge you.

See but now I feel all political :) Just got done reading how Romney's heart aches for struggling Americans. I had to laugh at that a lot since it is a far cry from him not being concerned with not getting the 47% who are on government aid. I think he was actually told by someone that if he is elected President he will be getting more government assistance then any struggling family, elderly person, military man/woman....he was probably also reminded that as a former Governor he has been a part of the 47% for a while now.

Anonymous said...

Here's an interesting article on that very subject (well, on the subject of Romney and his "47%" comment) giving a different perspective.

It's not really a way I had thought about it, myself.

~ Lauren Who Speaks Truth ~

Shannon said...

It really is not a way I had thought of that comment either. I think a person's pocketbook does have something to do with how they vote but there are so many other reasons as to why an individual casts their vote.

Apparently because he has always had money and never had to think about living without it he feels that is the biggest thing people want. I dont want what he has anymore then I feel that someone should live off of what I have and never work a day in their lives. It isnt all about money...it is about so much more then that.

Caroline, you just bust on out with it, if you'd like.

So, serious conversation, hmmm? That article linked up there? Says this:
"Romney implies that people vote their pocketbooks, that people vote based only on their immediate financial interest, as they conceive it. But the majority of people simply do not behave in this way. In presidential elections, the majority vote according to what they think is right."

I disagree with this...or maybe I don't and I'm just taking it further, I'm not sure. I believe that most Democrats vote based on taxpayer pocketbooks. They vote for what they can get out of this from the government or, alternately, they're of the limousine-liberal crowd who vote for what others can get from taxpayer's pocketbooks and are typically well-off enough that what little they pay in taxes doesn't bother them. Well-off Republicans vote on who will keep the Democrats, especially the poor ones, out of taxpayer pocketbooks so there's more money to be taken out of those same pocketbooks to fund corporate welfare and big business. Poor Republicans (mostly white) vote to keep the poor Democrats from getting tax dollars because we have too many minority welfare mamas sucking the government's teats dry and by God they aren't white. Libertarians vote for whoever wants the taxpayer pocketbooks to remain untouched by anyone but for basic things we all can use, like roads and schools. In the end, I still think it's all about financial interests, as that *is the basis of what is morally right to most people who vote. Well, excepting wars and reproductive issues.

Lisa, the Democrats that I know aren't trying to get something from the government, or not for themselves anyway. I would say they think the poor, especially children, who didn't ask to be born into their circumstances, should have some ability to get *onto the playing field, even if it isn't a level field.
As to the minority welfare mamas, the majority of welfare recipients in my state are white, though I realize you aren't necessarily claiming that view as your own.
I don't think that my own political views, such as they are, are based on finances. I may be an anomaly though. I'm not at heart a political person, meaning political in the broadest sense.

Lisa said...

"though I realize you aren't necessarily claiming that view as your own."

No, I'm not...just putting it out there based on what I see and hear, but nothing more. :-)

"I would say they think the poor, especially children, who didn't ask to be born into their circumstances, should have some ability to get *onto the playing field, even if it isn't a level field."

Not at the expense of others, though...not off the labor of others, imo. Life, just by virtue of being life, isn't fair. That's how it works, always has and always will. Some will always have a lot, some will always have nothing, sometimes through no fault or effort of their own. And that's okay, it's supposed to be that way...it's just life. You know? So, do you think their ability to get on that playing field should be funded by others, then?

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Mmmm ... I know you're *right. Life *is like that. I still want kids to be *on the field though. What they do with it after that is always up to them. I worry as I see education increasingly privatized, that *that way of leveling, which worked for a long time, is no longer working.

StringOfRandomLetters said...

Where I live, many of the wealthiest families were philanthropists, historically. That has disappeared in the last couple of decades, and it changes everything. They gave *willingly.

Lisa said...

And people *should give willingly, if they can. Charity is a fine thing, both to give and take, equally, as one needs and sees fit. There's also no shame in accepting it, as it's help and everyone needs some type of help from others at some point. But it's no longer charity when it's taken from people against their will...it's theft. I, too, worry about our education system on many levels, though. It's failing so very many kids now, and from all walks of life. That said, I don't really care about the kids being failed so much as I care about what the end result will be on society.

Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were.

Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? could we?
Memories, may be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...

The waaay we weeere...

I'd say something witty, but apparently I've been labeled an idiot, so why bother? :)

Anonymous said...

Someone called you an idiot? That was rude.

I see Addled Brain Syndrome has struck again. The Civil War absolutely was about slavery. Slavery, or the threat to it, was what stoked the idea of a secession, which was what caused the Civil War to break out. Yes, economics played a role, because the existence or non-existence of slavery had an impact on the pocketbooks of everyone, but if there wasn't slavery to begin with there wouldn't have been the need or desire for secession. Easy-peasy logic, huh?

~ Lauren Who Speaks Truth ~

Lisa said...

Hi, hi!

"If taxpayers support public education for children, then why not have taxpayers support health care for children?"

Because supporting public education benefits everyone, in one way or another. Most of our doctors, nurses, mechanics, general contractors, truck drivers, teachers, etc. graduated from public schools. Whether we have kids of our own or not, we directly benefit from the education received by others every day. The same can't be said for healthcare for kids.

"There are options out in place for children to be homeschooled or private schooled. Those same options could be in place for private health care insurance."

The only option for those is that parents can choose to use them if they have the money or don't work. An average, working class family probably won't be able to use either option, no matter how badly they would love to. Plus, those options don't cost taxpayers anything...just the opposite, in fact.

"Memories,
Like the corners of my mind,"

I love this song...love the movie, too. :-)

"The Civil War was a war about economics, not slavery. Discuss."

Well, it was somewhat about both, since slavery played a part in the economical issues. Mostly it was about the rights of states, though.

In terms of schooling, putting everyone on a playing field, level or otherwise, I think that's a wonderful idea, were it a world where those people were actually going to try and make something of themselves. I doubt they will. It's just too easy to be a nothing. No expectations, no goals, no desire to be anything, because it's easier that way. I'm sure that sounds harsh, but really, am I wrong? I don't think so. You can't make silk purses out of sows' ears. Some people just aren't worth the effort. Sometimes, even if they are worth the effort, they still aren't going to be taken seriously by people simply because of their background. Survival of the fittest and such.

~ Lauren Who Speaks Truth ~

Lisa said...

Okay, I just don't want to think about Mitt and his undies, oir lack thereof. Actually, I don't want to think about any of the candidates in their undies unless, somehow, we can get Sarah Palin to run again. I could rethink my stance on underwear if that happens.

"I am a damn Yankee through and through. Don't mistake me for a Repulican, though."

Kaytie, please stop talking like this.

"I'd say something witty, but apparently I've been labeled an idiot, so why bother? :)"

Oh, I dunno...if you can survive being called a butt plug, I'd think you could stand being called an idiot. :-D

" Slavery, or the threat to it, was what stoked the idea of a secession, which was what caused the Civil War to break out."

No, no, no...slavery was symbolic and it symbolized the rights of states to do as they wished, to do what was best for their own citizens, without interference from the federal government.

"Sometimes, even if they are worth the effort, they still aren't going to be taken seriously by people simply because of their background. Survival of the fittest and such."

Right. That's what I said, kind of. One side wanted slaves, the other side thought it was Very Wrong. They, however, didn't want to be Very Poor, so when secession was attempted as a way to avoid slavery being made illegal, they decided a bitch slap in the form of war was necessary. It served to let those slave-owners know that they were getting too big for their britches by trying to go around the all-powerful Government. But still, slavery was at the core.
