This is what happens...

...when Tee goes to Mardi Gras. :-D

LOL

I hate it when I stay up too late and then fall asleep for like 2 hours before my internal alarm clock goes off

Nilia said...

Eastern Standard Time. Same as Buffalo, NY.

No, I don't think that age difference is bad!

Karen said...

I knew what you meant - about checking my email FT - but there isn't anything there.

I'm in Ohio - so its almost 3 am for all of us!

I don't have Tay tomorrow - and my son and Patti are going together to get their gun permits .... (don't ask!! LOL) so I'm sleeping in and then cleaning tomorrow!!

Nilia said...

Same time zone then, it's 2:53 here.

Lucky you, sleeping in and cleaning. I'd like to do both.

Shannon said...

Oh it is still early here....compared to you all it is still yesterday

Karen said...

yea... I love sleeping in! I haven't been sleeping well cause I've had this stupid icky nose and throat thing going on... and if I do fall asleep I wake back up - but its getting better, so I think I'll be able to sleep in no problem! and then the cleaning when I'm home all alone - with the stereo up... love it!

Karen said...

Want me to tell you what happens today Shannon, since I'm already here? :)

Shannon said...

Yeah I do Karen I can always use a heads up :)

Nilia said...

I'm going to lay down now even if I don't sleep, so goodnight Shannon and Karen, sleep tight.

Shannon said...

Night FT try to get some sleep

Karen said...

Night FT - sleep fast!! (didn't I just say that to you last night - or was that someone else?)

Shannon - I guess that since its 3 am I should probably go try to sleep! I need to be up in time to say goodbye to Patti and get my cleaning done, and figure out something good to make for dinner tomorrow night too!

Have a good night! Thanks for the warnings tonight - I appreciate you looking out for me!!

Nilia said...

Karen: yup that was me last night too. Goodnight then.

Shannon said...

You are welcome Karen....I think I am going to actually go to bed too and wake up in the morning and put on my big girl panties!!!

Karen said...

Me too Shannon!! Goodnight!

kristin said...

good morning ladies!

Looks like i missed some big happenings last night.

I'm sorry but glad you are here!

Anonymous said...

Hi all.

It looks like I've missed a lot last night. I'm very sorry for those who were banned and those whose feelings were hurt in the process.

Look at it this way, would you stay in a dictatorship if you were offered a way out?

I am pissed that people I've grown to care about were hurt. I am *this* close to being really mean so someone should probably give me some duct tape.

Shannon- I just read your parting comment and I thought it was very dignified. The reason it was deleted is probably because, you know, truth hurts ;)

Anyways, I'm glad many of you found a way here. There are other Sipsters I miss so if you're reading here, just say 'hi' to us.

I should shut up now, or at least drop the matter, because my blood is boiling.

Anonymous said...

It's weird because the paper I wrote dealt with the issue of power. (I've made some awesome analogies between 'Leviathan' by T. Hobbes - the main topic of the paper - and 'The Prince' by Niccolo Machiavelli :P )

Anonymous said...

SW- My own voodoo powers scare me. I was really rooting for Lindsey Vonn to win the gold medal and I think I made Anja Pearson fall.

J/K. :D

That said, I was in pain for her. Did you see how hard she fell?

You know what was funny? The French skier who fell right away. OMG. It looked like a rookie mistake.

kristin said...

hey corinne - yeah, it sucks for those ladies.

I'm a little upset too that so many caring ladies were hurt in the process.

I will keep my duct tape tightly placed over my mouth....well for right now anyway.

*see ya in a bit.

PJ said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
PJ said...

Corinne - did you subconsciously use your voodoo powers on some of us? So that we would have more time to read here?

kristin said...

alright, going to do shoes and then I'm out!

See ya in a bit!

Anonymous said...

CK- Oh no. I wouldn't do that to you! I just use my voodoo powers for the Olympics or else, it becomes dangerous :P

PJ said...

Later ladies. Have a day...

Anonymous said...

See you later, CK!

kristin said...

Corinne - I think your voo doo powers are stronger than you think.

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Yes. It's scary, I tell you :P

Tonight is the men's free program in figure skating. I hope I won't lose my voodoo powers!

I'm rooting for Lysacek. Plushenko is brilliant technically but artistically he's really so-so compared to both Lysacek and Takahashi. All three of them are really close to each other so anything can happen. (Plushenko is at 90.35, Lysacek at 90.30 and Takahashi at 90.25 if I recall correctly).

Oh yes. I love figure skating and I'm pretty excited about this competition!

(BTW, I can't get enough of watching the video of Brian Joubert falling while performing a triple Lutz. Even the beginning of his program sucks, he completely failed the quadruple axel.)

I'm done talking about figure skating. I promise ;)

kristin said...

lol Corinne - I used to love figure skating, back in the Scottie days!

I do enjoy the falling too - kinda sick like AP but its all good.

The downhill though, they took some nasty spills and that just looks dangerous.

Oh, and Shannon - I call bullshit on you doing the cliff notes and then putting them up on your site - don't you have owners rights or some shit like that. Whatever!

::damn - where's the duct tape?

Anonymous said...

::passing the duct tape to Kristin::

I love the falling in figure skating - when it's a Russian or French skater- but I hate seeing skiers fall. I think it's because I experienced a very bad ski fall and broke my leg- haven't skied since then and it's been 6 years. Anja Pearson's fall was super scary.

kristin said...

WOW - its quiet this morning!

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Because I am a fundamentally upfront person (or try to be, when I'm at my best), I'm letting you all know that I posted the following at SIP. Also, to be honest, I'm burned out with blogging. I'm taking a break, but I'll peek in at y'all and post if I feel drawn. Not gone forever, just for a while.

"I am publicly asking Won to rescind my invitation. I am fond of everyone here, but the freestyle banning does not suit my needs at the moment.

I've been pretty upfront about my e-mail; those of you who would like to reach me can find me there."

Jennifer-Lynn said...

For anyone who asks why I C&P this here...I wanted to be clear that this was my own action; I wasn't banned because I did anything "wrong."

kristin said...

BD - do what you need to do. We will be here.

I hope the infection goes away and that you find a suitable name for it :)

Take care of yourself!

Anonymous said...

Kristin- It is. But you learn very interesting things if you look at the sitemeter.

Bd- I understand how you feel and I agree with you re: freestyle banning.
(((hugs))) and I hope the infection from your incision clears up soon.

Deb said...

Good morning all.

I am sure I will be one of those not *totally welcome here, but I miss so many of you at SIP.

When I first found out about this site, it took me a while to read it, then saw a lot of the comments and decided it would be a tough crowd to join.

But, I will read, and maybe participate if the time is right.

If you have a problem with me personally, just e-mail me, it's on my profile. We can take care of things privately.

Anonymous said...

Hi Deb. I think everyone is welcome here :)

How are you? How is Lauren?

Deb said...

Hi Corinne - thanks, much appreciated and thanks for asking about Lauren. She is scheduled to have her adnoids removed on March 3. She is not a happy camper right now - scared. It's a 30 minute procedure, and she'll miss a few days of school.

Anonymous said...

Deb- I hope the surgery will solve her problems!

Anonymous said...

What is with all the rapid fire banning on other sites? Kristin - I thought you were the chief bad ass :)

Anonymous said...

I wonder where SW is hiding? We need to talk about the Olympics!

Margaret- Paranoia is the answer to your question ;)

Anonymous said...

Kristin - I read about your little dude's breathing problems. Did the doc tell you to steam up the bathroom and have him sit in there for a while? I have asthma and when I get a bad cold I do that. Get some books, steam it up and just sit in there for a while.

Anonymous said...

Olympic talk - I loved seeing the US women fly down the hill last night!

Anonymous said...

Good Morning. Hi Deb :)

Margaret, the rapid-fire banning is based out of fear IMO, but we all know Kristin is a bad-ass :)

Amy said...

Good morning...I'm waiting on my coffee to start working. It's not yet.

kristin said...

I do have to say that my head is held a little higher due to being one of the original banned :) I'm trying to come up with a good tag for that...Any suggestions.

Hey Margaret - no, they did not mention that but they did mention the humidifier but said use warm instead of cool mist. So that has been going on in his room. He is doing better. He was only wheezing that Saturday and now it is a very productive cough. We have a follow up on Friday.

Deb - I hope the surgery is successful. As I told you before, my sister had that surgery when she was in 5th grade. Hers grew back and had them removed again when she had her tonsils out again. Good luck.

Btw Deb - you have e-mail!

kristin said...

Hi Christy!

Hi Amy!

Anonymous said...

Hi Christy, Hi Amy!

Margaret- Both Vonn and Mancuso were amazing yesterday!

kristin said...

Yes, my heart was beating fast while I was watching. Amazing. I was really hoping that Vonn would do well!

Robin in Montana said...

Good morning, all!

Deb -- I am happy to see you. :)

Lindsay said...

Good morning everybody!

Hey Deb! *I am happy to see you for sure.

Kristin - I think I was the first officially banned, not that it's a contest or anything:) I was banned shortly after saying "Hi, I'm so glad to see you all" or something to that effect. And I was sorry to lose a lot of you, but I've kept up through a lot of your personal blogs, so in the end I felt okay. Anyhow, I was really bugged at the time, but I'm over it. Hope this doesn't offend those who are still active on SIP or are friends with Won, but to those who were treated badly, I just wanted you to know I understood.

And Lindsey Vonn rocked it last night. I was practically screaming at the end!

kristin said...

Oh true FF! My bad!

I'm still going to hold my head up high and smile.

How are you today my hip sister?

Anonymous said...

Morning!

Lindsay, you got banned? I would never ban you! LOL. Watch out for AP though...rofl.

::Waving at AP::

Lindsay said...

Feeling happy, kind of. The sun is rising and beautiful and it's going to be a warm-ish day! How are you - glad it sounds like LM might be on the road to recovery.

Lindsay said...

Oh, yeah, Sandy I was banned! You didn't know you were covo'ing with a rebel, did you??? I'm kind of glad for AP's impotence - it gives me a chance to be who I really am :)

Anonymous said...

You rebel Lindsay!!! Now I feel like I'm running with the bad girls. lol.

kristin said...

Yup - you are running with the wrong crowd girl! lol

Lindsay - I'm cold but it too looks like it will be a great day. The sun is shining here too. LM woke up in a good mood, early, but in a good mood.

It's my moms birthday today, I am going to go get her a present this afternoon.

All is good!

Erin said...

Good Morning!

Lindsay said...

Hi Erin :) I'm so happy to see you, too!

Kristin - are you guys having a party for your mom?

kristin said...

Hey EL!

Lindsay - we are on Sunday. Actually yesterday was my BIL's b-day so we are doing a birthday for both on Sunday.

Lindsay said...

Erin - is it weird that I keep thinking of you while watching the Olympic ice skating???? It kind of cracks me up.

Erin said...

Lindsay- I know! I feel so special each winter olympic season!
How is your husband doing?

Angie said...

Morning all! Soooo glad to see Deb here! Welcome Deb! I've missed you a lot and I'm happy happy to see you.

Hi Erin!

It took me a while to catch up this morning with all that happened last night. I'm very sorry to all who were banned, and to all who were not banned but who ended up with bad or hurt feelings, either here or at SIP.

I was really grumpy yesterday, but today is a new day, and it's a beautiful day in Alabama -- it's finally going to warm up here YAY! -- and I'm ready for a stretch of happy. Who's with me?

Anonymous said...

Lindsay- I remember your being banned. I didn't really know what was going on. I think Won said you weren't posting enough or something? That's a silly reason for banning someone but whatever.

Looking back, I think that Pandora's box was opened at that very moment.

I used to think it was later but the trust issues date back from the very beginning of (S)IP.

Kristin- Happy Birthday to your mom!

Angie said...

Corinne, loved your posts this morning about your voodoo powers and the olympics! I'll be thinking about you tonight. I've been known to have some voodoo powers myself. Together we can make Plushenko fall!! ::cackle::

Erin said...

SW- you were grumpy from lack of sister wife!

Lindsay said...

Really, really well. If you had asked me a month ago if I thought he was making the right decision, I would have said no, but we literally have our life back. It makes me so happy to see him so active and wanting to do things again. He gets his first fill on Friday, so I'm hoping that goes well. He's lost so much weight already though, just from exercising and us totally changing our diet around. Thank you for asking :)

Angie said...

BD, your SIP goodbye was short and to the point. I understand your need to take a blog break, but I hope that you will be back soon, sans infection.

Regardless, I intend to stalk you via e-mail and FB. You will find me hard to dump. ;-)

Angie said...

EL, You are so right! And speaking of sister wives. Jill has not been here for days. I've been calling her. Jill! Jill?

kristin said...

Lindsay - that is good to hear...but I have to admit, I'm lost. I'm sorry :(

SW - yeah for a good day! I can help with voo doo hexes...and I'm sure if we get Tee out, there is bound to be someone she knows that can do one of their witch spells from ol' new orleans :)

Lindsay said...

Corinne - She may have told y'all that, but I think the bottom line is that she saw me associating with Shana and Jeanette and that was apparently a problem. I guess I couldn't be trusted to be friends with a multitude of people and keep secrets well enough or something. But what *really bothered me is not that I was reprimanded or kicked out, but that Won didn't have the guts to e-mail me, or call me out or anything. I just went to log in and was denied. But water under the bridge as they say.

Anonymous said...

Hi EL!!!

Lindsay said...

Kristin - My hubby had the lap band put in last month.

suz said...

Hi girls!
wow, nice to see so many of the names from the ohih days. been sick for a week and see what happens?
AP, loved the caption, where has Tee been anyway?

Angie said...

One more thought on the banning and I'm going to apply duct tape. It's probably too soon now, because we're not all at the point where we can all laugh about it, but some day we should give ourselves awards regarding our SIP departures. Like, best departure speech (I'm not gonna lie; I'll vote for my own); quickest banning (Shannon?); most inexplicable banning (Kristin, obviously); first banning (Lindsay, hat's off to ya hon).

Laughter is the best medicine, you know.

Anonymous said...

Lindsay- I see. Why am I not surprised by the cowardice of it all?

SW- I have to gather all my energy. Plushenko really has to fall. Or at least perform poorly. :P

kristin said...

Hey suz! Sorry you were sick!

Gotcha Lindsay! Glad things are going well :)

I totally feel you on the no explanation thing. And yes, water under the bridge.

Lindsay said...

Thanks, SW. I'll be working on my speech as it's been a couple of months . . . Now, where's that duct tape???

Angie said...

Rest up today, Corinne. You can do it!

Lindsay said...

Corinne - I'll be counting on you. I'm sure Plushenko is a nice man and all, but I can't stand looking at him. I don't know, why. That's not very nice of me, is it?

Anonymous said...

But, SW...What about my departure speech? I thought it was really good too! ::pout::

J/K

I'm sure one day we'll all laugh about it!

Angie said...

Corrine, I'm not sure I saw your departure speech. I was already gone from SIP. The only fair thing to do re the departure speech category is repost them all so we can all judge. Not that I'm really interested in "fair." I'm in it to win it.

kristin said...

corinne - I'm laughing now...not sure what you are talking about!

Lindsay said...

Okay, now I really have to get going. 1/2 hour to get the kids ready and out the door when they're still in their jammies. Yikes! I'll check in from my not busy office :(

Anonymous said...

O, Lindsay, I understand how you feel. Plushenko's short program was...energy-less. I mean, yes, it was technically very good. His quadruple/triple axel was close to perfect but it was blah artistically talking.

Angie said...

Re Plushenko, did you guys hear what Dick Button was saying about him on the NBC coverage the other night? He thinks Plushenko likes looking like and acting like the villain of the piece. That's his schtick.

suz said...

Hi Kristin,
glad your little woke up happy today. I am sure that is a good start to the day.
Happy birthday to you mom!

kristin said...

bye lindsay and good luck!

kristin said...

Thanks Suz!

Lindsay said...

Exactly. And he didn't have feathers. I didn't care for his outfit, either. He's just not artistic, I don't think all they way around. Okay, now I'm really gone :)

Anonymous said...

SW- Yes. That's what we should do ;)

Although, I think Bd and Shannon would be fierce competitors for the both of us. Their speech were *good.

Anonymous said...

What happens when you ban everyone - you talk to yourself? I'm a bit amused that Lindsay got banned - never thought of that little blondie as a bad ass.

Anonymous said...

Confession:

I really liked Takahashi's short program...

Lindsay said...

Goodness - stop talking or I'll never leave!! No, I didn't hear Dick Button say that, but I would have to agree. He's making himself one of those guys you love to hate. Aha! Makes sense to me. Really. Now, I'm gone. I'm not even going to look up after I hit "post".

kristin said...

what did you think abut weir?

Now that was an outfit!

suz said...

Man, I have not been following the Olympics at all, other than what has been in the paper. Just too tired at the end of the day. I know I have missed some good stuff, maybe tonight.

Jeanette said...

Well, I don't need the duct tape. Won is friggin power crazy. I was never on SIPS and honestly wouldn't have joined anyway because I would rather take a needle full of chicken pox to the eyeball than participate anywhere that Won is in charge.

I've been reading and not posting because I'm not in the chattiest of moods but fuck it.. here I am. I am saying how I feel and will own it.

It is the most childish thing I've ever heard to ban Lindsay because she dare associate with me or Shana. Wtf.. The only thing we ever did was fail to kiss Won's ass. Some people need to grow the fuck up and realize that no matter how much you might want it to, the sun does not rise or set on your ass.

Anonymous said...

Concerning Jill:
The high school for which she works lost a student to a murder-suicide shooting so this must be a sad day for them all :(

Jeanette said...

Oh, Good Morning everyone! Lovely day isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Jeanette- Well said.

kristin said...

so this morning all I could think of about everything that is going on...and how people can't mention that other site...is Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort...and how they always said the name you cannot say.

Yeah, I'm weird.

Hi Jeanette! I think I have a girl crush on you :)

kristin said...

I hope Shana doesn't come out to kick my ass for saying that!

Anonymous said...

Kristin- Lol @ your analogy.

So, besides figure skating, what other competition is happening today? I know there's curling but I'd only watch that if I were suffering from severe insomnia!

Jeanette said...

LOL Kristin. She just might!

I'm sure that there will be some that are offended by what I said.. and that's fine. We are all big girls here and I don't expect anyone to agree with me. I've kept my mouth shut about it for a long time now to try and keep the peace but ffs.. enough is enough.

Jeanette said...

Sorry AP, I think I broke your blog.

Angie said...

I am so in love with the feathers on Lysachek's costume, and the tassle on Weir's. I loved Weir, and thought he was scored inexplicably low.

Anonymous said...

Jeanette- No way you broke it. We're still here ;)

SW- I didn't see Weir so I can't judge. But you're right, I <3 Lysacek's costume. I don't know why but it made me think of "the raven" by E.A. Poe.

suz said...

Jeanette,
Well said indeed. And good morning to you too!

Erin said...

Hey Corinne!
Lindsay- glad it is going better for him. and glad it is a positive for all of you.
Okay...have to run!

kristin said...

Jeanette - you didn't run me off either. I'm here too.

kristin said...

bye EL!

good to *see you today!

kristin said...

Oh, and my stepdad is awesome!

He bought my mom a massage package - A massage once a month....forever!

Yeah, I'm jealous!

Robin in Montana said...

Dick Button. ::giggles::

kristin said...

ummmm SW - you said the "s" word!

lol!

sorry, just poking fun...oh damn....pass the duct tape!

suz said...

Kristin, sounds like a nice gift for your mom. I have never had a massage, I think I would like it but just never took the time to do it.

Angie said...

Corinne, Vera Wang made Lysacek's costume. The Today Show had a whole segment on her and the costume. Loved it!

Anonymous said...

RiM- You had me laughing. Again.

Kristin- Just know that I am jealous of your mom's gift from your stepdad.

Anonymous said...

SW- Vera Wang did an amazing job! Lysacek is so thin that it fit him perfectly and really added a dimension to his program!

Can you tell I loved it? ;)

kristin said...

Suz - I had never had one before either until my office hired someone. I was freaked out at first, and I had a very stressful job - doing payroll. It was difficult to even take the time out of the day to get one, but finally I broke down and did a 30 minute session - you could schedule a 30 minute or an hour - and well - it was awesome. The first couple of times I was uncomfortable for a bit but OH.MY.GOD! Good stuff!

I haven't had but two or three since that time, b/c things like that are a little excessive but it is enjoyable.

Angie said...

Kristin, how sweet of your step dad! That's very cool.

suz said...

Kristin, the key for me would be finding someone you trust to touch you. I won't let just anyone touch my fat ass..lol..

Angie said...

Suz, my thought exactly. My sister is fat (like me, though not quite as fat) and she loves to get massages and isn't the least bit self conscious. But I just wouldn't be able to.

suz said...

SW,
I am totally self conscious about it. I mean I know the massage person does not care, but I would wonder if they are saying, "damn this chick is fat, feel that back fat"..lol

Bec said...

Hello, all.

I posted the following over at SIP and I will paste the same here:
Because I live in a state of transparency, I'm going to state that I will be hanging out here as I usually do, but will probably also be checking out AP's blog as well. I'm a grown up and I like peeps in both camps. I don't like talking smack about anyone except Mck, so I feel like I can play fair in both arenas. If this is a problem, please let me know.

That's how I feel. I don't come online to cause drama but rather to hang out with adults because otherwise, almost all of my waking hours are confined to conversation about sesame street, diapers, and the meaning of the word NO.

kristin said...

suz - i had that same apprehension but got over it pretty quickly. I realized that they had big, fat hairy guys that they probably massage...so I had to be a step up from that.

Anywho, I just lost my appetite...sorry ladies!

kristin said...

Hey Bec!

How are you? I've been thinking about you, especially now that I'm considering taking LM canoeing.

How is the job search going? Any new leads?

I hope all is well and I feel your pain.. LM is in the why stage? ugh!

Angie said...

Hi Bec! How are things on Sesame Street these days? Is cookie monster still around? Because I heard somewhere that someone was concerned that his cookie binging might send the wrong message to kids about food.

Wait, sorry, Sesame Street is what you DON'T want to talk about. Nevermind! :-) Are you watching the Olympics?

Angie said...

Seriously good point, Kristin. Hairy back fat is WAY worse than hairless back fat. IMHO.

kristin said...

alright ladies, I'm off to run some errands.

Be back later - behave!

suz said...

Hairy back fat. Ick.

suz said...

Bye Kristin!

Amy said...

Sorry I am in & out today off & on...we have a guest here that I have the pleasure of taking everywhere. It is going to be a lot of walking in bad shoes! Kids have been grounded from the TV so I haven't seen a lot of Olympics stuff until after they go to bed, which I usually fall asleep on; but I will try to check out these costumes tonight!

My Sparkling Life said...

Hey girls!

suz said...

Oh now I know there is a name I missed seeing, HiT, nice to "see" you again.

Angie said...

Bad shoes are bad, Amy. I wear only ugly and comfortable shoes now. Makes life easier.

AP, I forgot to answer your question about sweet potato queen margaritas. It's a recipe from a sweet potato queen cookbook. Four ingredients: one 12 oz container of frozen limeade; 12 oz. tequila; 12 oz Seven Up (I used diet); 12 oz corona beer (or corona light). So you dump the frozen limeade into a pitcher and stir it a little; fill the limeade container with tequila and dump it in and stir, then fill the limeade container with 7 Up and dump it in, then dump in a 12 oz bottle of Corona and stir.

These are great over ice, and they aren't super sweet so I don't use salt. They are a bit fizzy and super easy and delicious. No blending required!

Angie said...

Hi HiT! How are things in Texas today? Is it warming up there too?

Anonymous said...

Hi Bec & HiT!

Amy- definitely check out the costumes if you have time!

My Sparkling Life said...

Warming up a bit. It was gorgeous yesterday. Too bad I was stuck at work.

My Sparkling Life said...

Hi Corrine, SW, and suz!

Anonymous said...

SW- These sweet potato queen margaritas sound delish. Too bad I don't drink during the week days because I want one ;)

Karen said...

Good morning! I'm sitting here listening to icicles falling from our roof and the apartments beside us, sounds like we are in a war zone or something, the sun is shining so brightly.... its blinding out there!

How is everyone today!

Robin in Montana said...

Okay, I just hit the puke-point. From MckWanker's post today regarding how he married JM for her "beauty," he says this particular gem, amongst others, like when he refers to himself cheerfully as the inferior spouse. Anyway, this: (gag)

She has a literal va-jj. I only sometimes have a figurative one (And yes this is designed as complimentary, being when you're on this side of the gender fence, va-jj's are extraordinarily desirable.).

Robin in Montana said...

SW - I've had those margaritas before. I like "beer margaritas" too -- just 2 shots tequila, 2 shots beer (I like cheap, easy, generic like Bud Light) and 2 shots of margarita mix. With a squeeze of lime. Over ice. Yum. But will sneak up and smack you upside the head *fast if you're not paying attention.

Anonymous said...

SW...I'm glad you explained that drink. I was imagining sweet potatoes in it.

I'm in and out, too keeping up with a busy 12 month old.

Anonymous said...

A new Mckdaddy post is up. No way, IM wrote that. It is basically an overadulating ode to JM.

Anonymous said...

Rim, yuck and yuck on that post of IM's.

Angie said...

Hi Karen! Robin, I couldn't make myself click through to hear RV wax poetic about Mck. I do think that she's pretty though. ::ducking::

Anonymous said...

Hi Karen!

Sw- No need to duck! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I mean, your future wife has a thing for IM so... ;)

Bec said...

Kristin, I want to take the kids on a canoe trip this summer too. So many big plans, so little time.

On the note of comfy shoes, I really only wear running shoes everywhere now. I left my lame shoes in my closet after I lost my job and I'm never looking back. As soon as the snow melts, I will be sporting sandals every day until October.

No serious job leads at the moment, but I've applied for several and Mr Bec's boss is at a conference in Colorado as we speak, pimping my resume to his friends and contacts. I love the guy. He doesn't have to do that but he is because he's a great dude and knows that me not having a job is really stressful for us.

I haven't seen much of Cookie Monster on the current sesame street, but we have DVDs. Oh god.

I think she was pretty before she grew six chins. And I don't mean that as a slam against anyohne who is overweight. Some women carry extra weight, even way too much weight, just fine. And some don't. She doesn't, IMO. I hate that he portrays (or allows her to portray) him as the stereotypical guy who was led by his dick into marriage and that he's just a stupid, stupid guy, not smart enough to pour a bowl of cereal were it not for her, and how thankful he is that she allows him access to her "va-jj". :::shudder::

They seem to have a very parent-child type of relationship, IMO.

What bugs me about JM is definitely not the fact that she's overweight, it's her facial features. Plus, I think that once you dislike someone for their personality, you just can't think they are pretty. That's how it is for me anyways.

I think that post was extremely demeaning to IM, that's why I doubt he wrote that.

I agree with you Corinne, when you like someone, even if they're objectively ugly, they become pretty to you, and vice versa.
