Robin: have you tried them too??!! I had heard of them and have no idea if Fortino's always carried them but I was looking for stickleback today and there they were!

I am so lame for remembering people from that far back, to be honest. I know people FAR more organized than I have kept good records, so I'm going to run with that.

Say do tacos go well with crab? Ugh. That just occurred to me. Maybe I just won't have any tacos and go straight for crab.

Nilia said...

AP cooked cow tongue once (that she's admitting to, LOL!), she is one adventurous cook. I never deviate much from the mainstream, even sushi is a bit out there for me. I wish I had a more adventurous palate, and a stronger stomach.

Oh, and the foresight to make screenshots and save stuff. But that's where my Daisy friends come in, right?

T@iy@ said...

RiM- The comment you made earlier to me about swiss steak didn't show up until later! If you ever find the recipe I would love it, but if you don't then no big deal. We have 4 more in the freezer, so i would have enough to use it eventually. :)

T@iy@ said...

Cow tongue. Ugh. Someone brought one to school in a shoebox once for show in tell. I was in 5th grade. It stunk and was ugly. The end.

Robin said...

FT--frogs' legs were a big thing where I grew up. Of course, that was so far East Texas, it was nearly Louisiana.

But yes, they are very good. Like a light chicken. No fishy taste or anything. They are like easting a chicken leg made with white meat, and much easier to remove from the bone as you eat them.

Robin said...

easting=eating

sorry

T@iy@ said...

Is there really enough meat on frog legs to bother with? I have never had them, but I always thought you'd have to eat a ton of them to make it worth it.

Anonymous said...

That cow tongue that AP made put me off for a couple days. The way it swelled up while it was cooking...and then the peeling of the skin. Oy!

twirldawg said...

My dad would bring them home for him and my sister to eat. No one else would try them. I am told that the bones don't really make them worth eating.

T@iy@ said...

Poor AP. That comment is going to go down in internet history.

Lisa said...

Lol, FT, I love frog legs...we save the legs bones and make them chorus-line dance when we're done. Also, I'm sorry the picture makes you uncomfortable. know you weren't chastising or anything, just speaking your mind and I'm *really glad you feel like you can. I also won't ever show you the light switch over in Jake's room. :-X

BD, those cupcakes sound good. I'm not a big sweet eater but I've been wanting something all afternoon and you aren't helping!

Stacey, I'm glad to see you back. :-)

R2, wasn't it Karen's daughter Tina went after on OHIH or was that someone else who did that?

Lisa said...

"Poor AP. That comment is going to go down in internet history."

Are we talking about my unfortunate choice of names I called R2 again? Because seriously, I *am sorry about that and kind of wish it would go away, for me and her both. *hangs head*

twirldawg said...

"we save the legs bones and make them chorus-line dance when we're done."

We did this with the frog we had to dissect in Biology in 10th grade.

Robin said...

AP--it was some "anonymous" poster named Monte or something like that?

Jill, do you know?

Same poster went after me, too. Bleh. Doesn't matter. It was a miserable little mean-minded person, whoever it was.

Robin said...

AP--who said that?

I've moved on. I accepted your apology and do believe you were sincere about your word choice being poor.

So I don;t know who said that, but it doesn't matter, right?

Heh, it's cool to be part of Internet history though. ;)

Lisa said...

"We did this with the frog we had to dissect in Biology in 10th grade."

I opted out of that so I never had this particular joy. I'm good with all kids of parts as long as I don't see the animal die. That's a deal-breaker for me.

Robin said...

Oh, I'm sorry--I see the comment was said here.

I can't see my newest post. Blogger is a bitch with PMS.

I didn't mean to step on any toes. I'm just done with all of that now.

If I felt anyone actually thought I was what I was referred to as, I wouldn't be here posting.

Of course, there's still the matter of me being up someone else's ass, but...not much I can do about folks who think that. It ain't true. And I'm not worried about it.

Lisa said...

"So I don;t know who said that, but it doesn't matter, right?"

Heh, it's cool to be part of Internet history though. ;)"

I guess not but I'd hate to think our only claim to a piece of internet history is going to be *that.

twirldawg said...

AP the frogs were already dead. We didn't have to kill them.

Robin said...

We'll just have to make a better history then, AP. :)

Lisa said...

I make no promises, R2. Well, except to restrain myself the next time I want to call you a name. :-D

Jill, we had to kill ours with chloroform. *blech*

Lisa said...

CK, I saw your post on FB and laughed...so far, no bad comments. I was going to like it but then I hated for you to have to delete a whole post again...

Anonymous said...

Well, *that and being a Jew-hater, AP.

PJ said...

Ha, AP. ::rubs hand over recent revenge slap::

PJ said...

Does anybody know how to edit an audio file (e.g. mp3) to carve out a portion of it?

PJ said...

But AP loves Jesus. And he was a Jew....

twirldawg said...

AP the the beginning of the year each lab team got a bag filled with individually sealed bags containing each animal. Blech

T@iy@ said...

Robin who isn't RiM. Someone on BF is bringing it up. AP has nothing to do with that particular conversation, and it is irritating that it came up again.

twirldawg said...

Ever Googled an IP address? Sometimes it leads you nowhere, and other times it leads you to a bondage website. (mine goes nowhere, FWIW)

Jennifer-Lynn said...

That's random, Jill (about the bondage site).

AP, I don't have a sweet tooth either. I took down The Joy of Cooking, although I modified slightly. I was sold on this particular recipe because the description started out "this not-to-sweet cake..."

T@iy@ said...

Yuummm... cream cheese frosting.

Amy said...

BD,

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on the vino, I will look at it soon! The kiddos have been ill, and hubby is getting it now. Have you looked at this icing recipe: http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen-blog/2010/03/a-tasty-recipe-thats-the-best-frosting-ive-ever-had/

Anonymous said...

All the cake talk forced me into making the box cake I had here. Devil's food cake. Now I wish I had cream cheese frosting.

Who's Kirby? Does anyone know? I like her.

I like to think I'm helping with Operation Tina Shut-Down.

T@iy@ said...

Yummm. cake & cupcakes. I had one piece of the cake I made, but am now wishing that I had hid a few cupcakes in my kitchen instead of taking them all to the bday party!

Amy said...

Hi CK,

Little boy has a fever, big boy has a migraine. The little princess has a cough and tummy ache. I am going to hide out in my room once the kids go to bed because I CANNOT be sick or off work until May 17.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Amy, no big deal. I know how that goes. :)

T@iy@ said...

Matt made goulash for dinner. :) Was so nice to not have to cook, and it wasn't even on the grill. Although, that's because I didn't buy charcoal and lighter fluid, apparently. :) Oh, well, this was delicious and the best part was that I didn't make it. Maybe I should go make him some PB cookies or blueberry coffee cake or something. Maybe.

PJ said...

Amy's Convalescent Care, huh?

Here's hoping for health for you as you hide.

Lisa said...

"But AP loves Jesus. And he was a Jew...."

Keyword being "was".

Joking, joking...I just hate for our (my?) reputation for hating Jews to die off. That was one of my favorites.

Jill, whose did you google?

Trudy said...

do we know who kirby is?

Anonymous said...

Kirby is someone who knows us, for sure. I have a hunch who it could be, but I will not name names.

I have been known to pipe frosting directly into my mouth. Carry on!

Robin said...

Taiya--I never said or even insinuated that AP brought it up. But thanks for "setting me straight."

AP--I didn't say that different would be sunshine and roses. Just different.

Lisa said...

CK, yeah, I guess it was just me. Ah, well, I still don't like most of the ones from the NYC area and I'll stand by that, but it's not a religious thing. It's a cultural/attitude thing.

*scampers off leaving matzoh balls in my wake*

T@iy@ said...

What? Robin? What?

Lisa said...

"AP--I didn't say that different would be sunshine and roses. Just different."

Oh, okay. Well I can't argue that and believe me, I'd try if I could...

T@iy@ said...

Oh.. No! I didn't mean it that way! Crap!

Anonymous said...

Robin, why do you have to be so flat out rude? You are like a nail in this forum's tire, I am trying my darndest to ignore you, but I know you are there.

Margo said...

I'm a Jew for Jesus and AP - so put that in your pipe and smoke it nasty "Lyrics" writer.

I'm trying to watch The Avatar - I'm don't car for supernatural/scifi movies - real life is strange enough.

Robin said...

Taiya, I didn't mean that the way it sounded.

Please accept my apology.

Bella--I'm rude?

HA!

T@iy@ said...

I was just trying to let you know what was going on without naming names and bringing that person out of hiding here again, since I accidentally did it earlier. And then I mentioned the AP had nothing to do with it thing because it irritated me that it was brought up there where AP is not and wasn't talking about it. Sorry! I wasn't trying to say anything negative or whatever to you!

PJ said...

AP - you know the old "tone is hard to convey on the internet"?

Well I was just poking you...

Anonymous said...

T@iy@ said...

Robin said...

I know Taiya, and I didn't mean it the way it sounded.

I am sorry.

Lisa said...

Margaret, are you a Jew for Jesus as in *officially? I know so little about this and what I do know is so interesting!

Anonymous said...

Martini anyone?

Anonymous said...

I acknowledge I am rude sometimes, Robin, so I'm taking no notice of your witch-like cackling.

Lisa said...

CK, I know you were poking, just having fun! Lord, I was doing the same...I'm sorry if it came across wrong.

T@iy@ said...

Oh, please, don't start bickering over a comment directed at me. My comment didn't sound the way I meant it, and Robin's was apparently the same. You don't have to like each other, but don't argue over a comment that was directed at me.

Can't we all just get along? ::tossing out the pleading puppy eyes::

Nilia said...

Ugh. I find the smell of ground beef cooking just too revolting.

Dinner time!

Lisa said...

"Can't we all just get along/"

Oh, probably not. :-D

Anonymous said...

I'm not going to bicker. Sorry, Taiya. I'm just feeling like a cat that got it's fur rubbed the wrong way, and then it's tail stuck in the light socket.

T@iy@ said...

No need to apologize, Robin, really. I don't get offended easily. I just didn't want to come across the wrong way, here.

Robin said...

Yes, Taiya. I'm practiced at ignoring Bella anyway. So it shouldn't be a problem for *me.*

Thank you for understanding. I appreciate it.

Anonymous said...

FT, ground beef has been known to make me throw up. Be careful!

Nilia said...

Well that was awkward timing for my post!

But seriously, I wish my kids hated tacos. But they LOVE tacos. Rotten kids.

And yes, I *will have a martini, thank you. Perhaps it will numb my sense of smell.

T@iy@ said...

AP- yeah. I am not really delusional. Just thought I'd add that. :D

bookjunkie said...

<--- Vile white trash Daisy checkin' in. ;) Just kidding. I'm totally in the dark but I think I like it that way. I finally did figure out who GM is just from bits and pieces. Gosh, y'all have been through some crap with some real internet crazies, huh?

Lazy Sunday here. Ordered pizza. Now considering making something sweet. Cupcakes sound so good. Oh, we have a steak place here that's well known locally for their huge steaks and frog legs. I could take 'em or leave 'em. They also have fried quail. Never tried it though.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Does anyone here know how to make rice pilaf? I'd be making it with brown rice.

PJ said...

AP - I wasn't sure if I'd hurt your feelings or not.

::damn absence of tone::

Erin said...

Amy- that frosting looks really good. Have you tried it?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I also had frogs' legs. It was when I was living in Louisiana. They are okay, in book...not objectionable, but nothing to write home about.

Anonymous said...

Robin, would you like to talk about your feeeelings?

Jennifer-Lynn said...

I have also had frogs' legs (that's what I meant).

PJ said...

Sandy, Martini for me.

FT - try chicken tacos. We make 'em with a delish grilled lime chicken recipe.

Plus black beans, cilantro, squeeze of lime juice. Makes them much more enjoyable for adults.

Robin said...

I agree, BD. They are OK. Not nasty like some might think, just OK.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Why is the damn bowl still my avatar? I took it down yesterday...

Robin said...

CK--that's exactly what I was thinking.

If you chop some sweet onion and cilantro, mix them together and squeeze some lime juice on them, and serve it as a relish with chicken tacos--it's delicious.

Anonymous said...

Sandy, send Cheetos to CK, too, while you're at it.

And I'll take a martini, shaken, not bashed in with a baseball bat :D ::shakes fist at mailbox vandals::

bookjunkie said...

Yum. I made chicken tacos last week, too and think I'll probably never make ground beef ones again. Chicken tacos with homemade salsa, lots of lime and cilantro. Gonna make that again this week.

T@iy@ said...

FT- are you vegetarian? Or just don't like ground beef?

Margo said...

AP - I am not officially a Jew for Jesus, my dad's family is Jewish but I was raised "christian" - it's hard to explain.

T@iy@ said...

Chicken tacos. Yum... Made some of those when we had a gf day a couple of weeks ago. Ended up making them for the next 3 nights and made Matt suffer. I pulled the "I am pregnant and craving it" card. You are going to make me want them again, BJ.

bookjunkie said...

LOL, sorry Taiya! I do that, too and I've had a hysterectomy so no way could I even be pregnant. =) I always get stuck on certain foods for weeks though.

PJ said...

Re: Chix tacos - cumin makes them better too.

Anonymous said...

::sending Cheetos to CK and passing shaken martini to Bella:: Damn vandals!

Amy said...

EL, yes the frosting is good, even with the strange ingredients. I would never have tried it without the PW stamp of appoval. The recipe just seemed...strange to me. But it IS good!

bookjunkie said...

Margaret- I sent you an e-mail for the Crafts For Chris thing earlier. I can't remember what you said about shipping on the auction stuff but I'll cover the shipping on the thing I sent you.

Anonymous said...

Sandy, I thought of you today when I was out. I saw a mailbox made out of brick, with the box embedded in it. I would like to see someone try to take *that out with a baseball bat.

I don't see the post on SIF's bf any more...guess it got too hot for the instigator to handle? (not naming names because I do not want anyone to come out of the woodwork...)

Anonymous said...

I saw that too Amy.

T@iy@ said...

SIF deleted it. She put up a post saying why, and took it down. The person who instigated it didn't actually have anything to do with it coming down.

T@iy@ said...

Well, not that I know of. Either way, it's gone gone, now.

Amy said...

Taiya,

Why did she say she took it down? The only disrespect (which was what her forum rules state) was from the instigator saying that someone falsified her posts?

Amy said...

*when clearly, if you have ohih cached, this is not the case...those were her posts, word for word.

T@iy@ said...

She basically said that it was nonsense, she didn't want it on her forum, and she was deleting it. She doesn't want to discuss it and she will delete any future threads that bring it up. That sums it up, pretty much. She did mention that it was a mess on 'both' sides, so it wasn't directed at Daisy that it came down.

T@iy@ said...

Well, not *only Daisy. It was getting nasty and other people on BF were mentioning it and wanted it closed since none of them knew what it was about, and if you weren't a part of it at all, I think it could look pretty unnecessarily nasty.

T@iy@ said...

I can't say I really blame her. (SIF) None of them had any idea what was going on, besides the person who posted it.

So... what else is happening? Where is Kristin?

PJ said...

Gonna run folks. I have to do the FAFSA (didn't have my pin last weekend when I tried to do it and had to request another).

Then TV with The Husband, and early bedtime (with no worship).

I may be able to check back. Have fun!

Nilia said...

Taiya: I don't like red meat too much. In fact I have to take B12 supplement. Chicken is top choice, pork is okay. I do make ground beef dishes but prefer to go to my butcher in Toronto and pick some beef, get it trimmed and then have it ground up. I make my own burgers and meat sauces and usually have some in the freezer. But today's ground beef is from the supermarket I picked up earlier today, so I already don't like it and the smell is just vile. I could live without ever having ground beef again.

If I was more creative with alternate protein sources I could probably go vegetarian. I don't like tofu at all, but I do like beans and lentils. I don't think I'm good enough at that sort of thing to make sure my kids get all the protein they need so I do cook meat, although I eat small amounts of it. I was vegetarian many years ago and think it's a much healthier way of eating but it was hard to maintain. Beans and lentils got old after awhile.
I have used chicken as a filler but my little Mr. Picky-Pants doesn't like it. Today while I was browning the ground beef he asked me if if was the meat he "liked". That means ground beef.

T@iy@ said...

Ha @ Mr. Picky Pants. :) I have always thought it would be difficult to maintain being a vegetarian for those exact reasons. I like meat, so I have never seriously considered it. I have just known people who were.

Nilia said...

OT but I think my mom's not speaking to me, and this could go on for quite some time. She reminds me of somebody who never forgets anything and keeps track of stuff in her mind and details fester for a year before she's ready to throw them in your face.... Oh who, oh who does that remind me of???

I hung up on her. Chances are she won't be stopping by this week. I'm good with that.

BJ - you've got make (first time I've *said that).

I wonder would Jerry Springer would say about all the name calling on BF.

Margo said...

I didn't mean make - I meant mail...

Nilia said...

Margaret: I seriously had no idea where you were going with that. At first I thought you wrote that BJ got "made", like mafia-style. Or mamma-mafia style?

Nilia said...

Margaret: I wonder what Dr. Phil would say. Smug bastard.

Margo said...

On teenage hijinx - DH told me today that about 20 years ago our nasty neighbor used to put her sprinkler on so it mostly watered our driveway and his jeep (without the top on). He said his folks asked her nicely a couple of times but she kept doing it. So one day he went out to a soaked Jeep and put the sprinkler (while sprinkling) in the front seat of her car :)

Margo said...

Lisa said...

Erin, I just came to announce I'm leaking, only to find out you leaked a lot worse than I did. Well, not you and me leaking...you know what I mean. How much water is it? Got a Shop-Vac?

Lisa said...

G'night, Margaret! I'm going to try to catch up but have a feeling I'm about to lose power. 'Tis flashing. Melissa, if you're out there, how is it your way?

Tonight was SW's dinner party. I hope things were okay enough to have it and that she checks in soon.

Erin said...

AP- I do have a shop vac, and a carpet cleaner that has a spill pick up setting. It has happened before when we get pounded, so the boys and I know the drill. The drill involves all our extra quilts and towels though. More laundry...oh joy!!
Where are you leaking, AP?

Muliebrity said...

EL, Do you have a carpet cleaner? They work well when sucking up water. If you have a rental place, rent a (or several) carpet dryers. They work well.

Lisa said...

Ugh, it sounds like a pain in the ass and way too much work for this time at night, Erin.

My utility room is leaking all over the back of my washer now...lovely. I have it tarped - now there's some white-trashiness for y'all. I'm leaking in my carport, which is really no big deal but the one that just started in my bathroom is disturbing as hell.

Lisa said...

FT, how's your son? I meant to tell you earlier that if he had broken ribs, it would hurt him even when it wasn't being touched. It would hurt when he breathes, too. It sounds like he's just going to have a dandy of a bruise, poor kid.

Erin said...

I am here now Kristin.
What did you end up giving your grandmom and your sister?

kristin said...

thought I was talking to myself.

My mom got extras and I gave her some shirts. Gave sis $ and had LM draw pictures and framed them, then I ordered some pics from Easter and gave those to them and picked up plants from LM.

Still trying to catch up but I need to go snuggle with the little guy and then put him to bed.

Nilia said...

AP: he hasn't complained much since, there's a quarter sized bruise just below and to the centre of his left nipple. I was just worried because it's so close to the heart. His breathing's okay and it only hurts when I touch it. I'm probably watching too much House or something.

kristin said...

FT - sorry about your little guy - have you put ice on it?

Sandy - sorry about your little guy too.

Amy - hope you don't get sick - doesn't sound like fun...

ok...bbl

T@iy@ said...

Hi Kristin!

Nilia said...

Mulie: no, I've been careful not to call the baby Shortround. The new name has stuck, I was afraid it would take me longer but it really suits him. I haven't seen him since last week and won't see him til next week. This weekend his uncle (SILs brother) got married in her hometown 2 hours away so they trekked out there Friday night and are probably driving home right now.

As for mom, well nobody can hold a grudge like her. And she takes turns with who is the good kid right now. I've been the good one for a while, not that I care and not that my brother resents it. He knows the price of being the good kid and believe me there is a price. She harbours resentment for years, and then dredges it up and I'm like what? from when? and she backs it all up with facts and people and places and things I said and didn't say. She's having some trouble (created by herself) with not feeling comfortable at my brother's house the way she feels here. Perhaps I've given her too much reign. She comes here and she helps but like I said there's a price. I'd rather not pay it but she likes to be needed. Trouble is she lords it over me. I've asked her not to come this week. And I did hang up on her after she said a really hurtful thing I won't repeat because she will regret it I hope and I want to forget it. I told her what did you say? I'm hanging up. She said no you aren't. I said yes I am. And then I hung up. She won't like that. You know I'm almost 41 and it's suited her to treat me like a child when she wants, and like and like an adult when it's convenient. And I've let her do it because like I said it makes her feel needed. But seriously that is just enough. She's making herself sick with wanting to control me and my brother won't allow her to do it so that starts her and heaven help me if I back him up (something else she dredged up today, and told me she'd never forgive me for).

My brother and I have discussed this often and there is no discord between us. I don't know what the next step is but I am tired of taking the high road. You just don't talk to people like that, I don't care if it is your daughter.

And that, in a not very concise way, is a quick but incomplete summary of my troubles tonight. But I seriously won't lose sleep over this.

FT- anyone playing that piano yet? :)

Hey Kristin!

Kristin: no, I didn't put ice, there was no swelling really and because of the location I wasn't sure... Well he's tucked in bed now and hasn't mentioned in a bit, so I guess it's okay.

is the flooding better? or getting worse?

Nilia said...

EL: Yes! Both my kids practice on it, it's in the living room at the front of my house, and that room is all open pretty well, 2 walls, so the sound travels all through the house, I love listening to them play. They have a recital coming up where they'll be adjudicated, they're nervous about it. They've picked 1 song each so all they can do now is practice!

I still get a little thrill whenever I notice my piano. I have ALWAYS wanted a piano in my house, for as long as I can remember.

I am having the piano tuned for the first time on Thursday. I was letting it acclimatise (sp?) to my house and making sure the humidity range was sufficient (we keep a humidity-measuring device in the room, whatever they're called). When I booked the time with the tuning guy I mentioned that I would like some more history on this piano and couldn't find the serial number. He's going to help me find it so I'm excited about learning the exact age (almost 100 years old probably by the model).

Photos are up (finally) on the blog of Eeq's space. Not her room. She will be in her crib in our room the first few months, then sharing with DD. All of her stuff is just on the landing, so we wanted it painted. Plus I hate that brown with a passion and want to completely eradicate it from my house. Since it is in every room it is taking a while.

Going to bed now. Exhausted from today. :) Night Daisies!

of course you can take care of yourself. you've been doing great at it. needing someone to take care of you can be a messy proposition, anyway.

Night Taiya!

that blue looks so cheery and friendly, like a robin's egg,

Erin said...

FT- That is great to hear. It should be exciting to get the history of the piano.

Rhys- no more water coming in, but another huge cell on its way. We had hail too, so hopefully my baby plants did ok. We have no padding under the berber, so it drys pretty quick It is just a pain in the ass.

Nilia said...

Taiya: I like that blue. It looks like the background of my youngest son's entire room which has murals painted on (construction scenes). I find it a soothing shade of blue, very pretty.

kristin said...

no fun EL! :( I am sorry!

FT - my oh my, I am sorry about your mom - truly I am.

Nilia said...

I know you guys all hate hail, but we love it. Hail means cars get hundreds of dings all over them and insurance companies pay my husband big bucks to fix it. Hail actually single-handedly paid for the renovations. All hail to hail!

Erin said...

I love what you have done with that area Taiya! Love the color, too.

FT- I would be perfectly *fine with my car getting hundreds of dings! My plants needing to be redone? Noooooo!

Erin said...

FT- Moms can be troublesome. <---- the understatement of the century!

kristin said...

Sorry ladies, I deleted my comment. I hope you understand.

Nilia said...

Ooooooh, EL, right, the plants. Sorry about that. I hope the hail cuts a wide path around you.

In these parts we plant mid to end of May. I see some people planting already but we still get some frost around this time of year. My perennials are coming up already, 1 rose bush, some hostas and beautiful purple iris'. So that fills up the space and by the time the blooms drop we're planting the annuals anyway. I'm tempted to go all perennials. Just tidy up every year, right?

My mother uses hens and chicks as a base. Those bad boys spread out something crazy. I refuse to take any from her. Ugh.

FT, what a difficult line you're having to walk with your mom and yet being the adult you are. I'm awfully sorry. :-(

Kristin, it sounds like you had a nice time today! I'm glad to see you back, though.

Are you still giggly, Rhys?

Erin, I hope everything is okay up there tonight. As much as I love storms, I hate hail - it's so destructive.

I know I've missed commenting on all sorts of things and please don't anyone take offense. I can't remember it all!

Nilia said...

Kristin: No problem. I've deleted mine too referencing yours.

Nilia said...

AP: Thanks. The back and forth exhausts me. I know this isn't good for her health but I've told her she has to stop wanting to control everything. She's been having some anxiety and they've been running some tests with her heart and so on. I told her earlier tonight that she was doing this to herself, she has to let stuff go. It eats people up.

Luckily, with my swiss cheese memory I let go of things pretty easily.

ap

i've still got a serious giggle in there.

it's kind of strange

twirldawg said...

Rhys it feels good to feel good, doesn't it?

Lisa said...

Taiya, I'm not normally a fan of blue, but I really like the color you've painted. And lord, I love the mistint bin. Personally, I liked the brown, too, but I like brown to begin with. That blue would be beautiful with lavenders and greens, pretty florals. To paint that wall white, I know how if I'm seeing it correctly...duct tape a brush to a broom handle to do the edging up there. Since the wall will be white and the ceiling probably is, you don't have to have the neatest cut-in ever. Then unscrew the handle off a broom and screw it in to the end of a roller handle. Most of them are threaded and broom handles off an O-Cedar type broom are a perfect fit. Does it seem like that might work?

jill

am i crazy to think it really is working this fast?

Lisa said...

Enjoy the giggles, Rhys. They give you strength. :-)

Erin said...

AP- are you still leaking?
FT- Each year I add more perrenials, but leave room for annuals too. Some of the perrenials I just put in are under cover of a huge maple, so they may be ok. My peas, i can only hope!

kristin said...

thanks FT! :)

Lisa said...

Erin, yes, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. I desperately need a new roof but hate to do it right before hurricane season. How about your flooding - has it let up?

kristin said...

I'm going to bed ladies!

Night all!

Erin said...

AP- yes. I only have water come in when we get a lot really fast. Then my french drain can't handle it. Hopefully the storm is on its way out.
My puppy is getting spayed tomorrow. She is gonna be pissed!
