Her name is Krista...

...and she sings (quite well) about daisies.  It's almost like she's one of our own, isn't it?  Let's give her her 15 nano-seconds of fame, shall we?  :-)

Just to reassure everyone I'm not insane, I just found a whole bunch of posts that weren't showing for me earlier today. Ck mentioning Rhys, Robin's roast talk and SW's French stuff, which was snexy even if it was about a time machine or something.

Anyway, I never say those and some others until now!

Dammit.

So JM can give away an iPad but she lost two homes to foreclosure within the last year? Alrighty, then.

Nilia said...

I caught up with some stuff on reader, AP, it's hard because the comments aren't listed by post but I can't believe people are falling over themselves. They only see what they want to see. As a home-owning taxpayer in her area, I would be livid.

Nilia said...

I mean if I *were a home-owning taxpayer.... I'm tired again today. Damn this rainy weather, it's just wreaking havoc with me. I want to borrow SW's time machine. I don't even care if it's snexy or not, I just want to.

And since I'm rambling to the wind, I found out something that actually bothered me a lot today. Now, I might be the only one who did not know this so don't laugh at my ignorance...but did the other Operation Repo fans here know that the show is all fake? I. Did. Not. They're really a repo team, that much is true, but the shows are all re-enactments. I know how Mamaw felt now when she realized wrestling was fake. :-/

This weighed on my mind so much that when I took a nap this afternoon, I dreamed that Matt Burch was napping with me. Yeah. Weird.

I could steal it for you. I have a...ummm...*history. :-X And please, I'm so sorry if this is stupid to ask but I've had a rough couple of days and my mind is mush. Can you tell me what you're referencing about the home-owning comment?

Lisa said...

FT, if this happens to you often, maybe you should try a couple of fast sessions in a tanning bed. Not for the tan, you can sunscreen yourself up, but I've heard the light in them helps.

Karen said...

I'm back... on my laptop! finally got the cord! yay go me! the stupid netbook wasn't getting online for some reason for a day or two also - so i'm soooooofa king far behind!! haha

anything new that i need to know in a short wrap up version (Shannon.... where are you???) I'm going to try to read and catch up at least from today... I hate being behind!!

I missed my Daisy friends!

Muliebrity said...

Yes, my husband is on his way home now, but my house is out of site destroyed. I will have a few hours to tackle it tomorrow. It will have to do.

Muliebrity said...

Blogger is certainly being persnickety tonight!

Nilia said...

AP: in reference to her walking away from 2 homes, which leaves others holding the bag. Many people have commented that it would financially wiser to walk away from homes or use these unusual times to upgrade by walking away from homes where the mortgage owed is far greater than the value of the home. But they don't because it does have a negative impact on banks and other homeowners. Right?

Nilia said...

AP: you know, you're right, I'm chalking it up to just the blah-ness of rain and the pressure in the air, but lack of sunshine could do it. What's the word on tanning beds these days? Are they safe or not? I thought not.

Lisa said...

Karen, I have missed you and am awfully glad you are back!

Mulie, I doubt he's going to pay much attention to the house. He's just going to be glad to be home and with his family.

FT, yes (and sorry I didn't grasp this earlier)...the amount owed doesn't just disappear. No bank will just shrug and say it's no big deal. It will be dispersed out among other people in the form of higher rates so yes, others will be paying for her. Taking away fro their families to do so and I don't care if it is only 5 cents, they're carrying her and her family.

Lisa said...

They are not safe for tanning purposes but I'd think they'd be fine with some heavy-duty sunscreen or even just leaving your clothing on.

Nilia said...

Karen: welcome back! How did you ever survive the withdrawal? What did you replace us with?

Hi Mulie!

Muliebrity said...

AP - Your son is so skinny! Feed that boy!

Karen said...

Thanks FT and AP - I didn't do much online... I played solitaire on the netbook while watching tv - I can't just "sit" and watch tv at night - I get bored... I come online and read blogs, and play freaking mahjongg on facebook, and still keep up with the shows. Patti has been sick with a cold so she sleeps off and on in the evenings.... and snores louder and louder... so I was b-o-r-e-d!!!!

Still catching up but at least I read today...

Speaking of your son AP - he looks like a model - he looks like he could *be* any type of model - very very attractive young man!!! seriously!!

Lisa said...

Lol, Mulie, he eats, I swear! Maybe not as much as some teens but he eats. Always a sandwich of some type when he gets up, assorted snacks and salad through the day and then a decent dinner. He's also gone through half a gallon of Girl Scout Thin Mint ice cream in less than 2 days. I did this at his age...my folks would watch me eat two Whoppers with fries and consider a third while my hip bones jutted out. It'll catch up with him...his dad and I both tend to fatness.

Karen, he is doing some modeling. He's not handsome, he's not pretty. He's very androgynous and a couple of local photographers are using him now. It's a fun thing for him. :-)

Karen said...

Don't take it the wrong way - but I think he's *beautiful* - the features in his face - Not sure what it is - but he should do well in modeling... or whatever else he wants to get into....

My ex was super skinny and my son too - has the same genes... but at about 30 - the metabolism slowed down and he couldn't eat all the little debbies like he used to.... All my grandson's are skinny little guys... We got some really good pictures of them at the park on Easter, the weather was perfect and I finally got them onto the computer... My next purchase for the comp. is going to be an external hard drive, to back up these thousands of pictures stored on here!!

mmmm ice cream... now I want some!

Lisa said...

Karen, I can't possibly take it wrong since it's how I (and apparently some photographers) do, too. He has very strong, defined features like men do but they're soft and almost feminine on him. I think he's beautiful, too, but in a very odd way.

I'd love to see some of your pictures! We're on the hunt for new externals too, so I'll pass on whatever I find.

Muliebrity said...

He is a good looking kid. At least with eye brows.

Lisa said...

I don't want to discuss the (lack of) eyebrows.

Muliebrity said...

I hope the grow back. He reminds me a bit of my "cousin" Tori Starbuck.

Muliebrity said...

His brother, Eric, is the king of fetish in St Louis. He is a vegetarian, who uses leather to make custom bondage outfits for strippers and freaks.

Karen said...

My son shaved his eyebrows on a dare by one of his friends when he was a senior. He came home and I knew something was *different* and it took until after dinner before I realized what it was - I actually laughed at him - he was the quiet shy type, and he had no eyebrows! talk about calling attention to yourself! He talked all big and bad, and then his friends went home and he came slinking into my bedroom late at night asking mom... will they grow back? HA! good memory! they grew back, same as the way they were before... took a while, but he learned something about thinking before doing!!

Hi Mulie.. how are you?

Muliebrity said...

Good. I need to go to bed, but I was waiting to see if hubby was going to call.

Angie said...

Morning all! FT, thank you SO MUCH for the translation! It's nothing as snexy as a time machine, sorry to disappoint. It's the description associated with a French trademark. I didn't finish my project last night so am back at it this morning.

Karen, great to see you check in last night! We've missed you!

Mulie, I'm excited for you that your husband is coming home. I hope you guys have a great time!

Kristin, how's LM today?

kristin said...

morning ladies - last night was rough. LM ended up in my room and we got about 2-3 hours of sleep. He was fine during the day but about 10:30 he started whining. I was seriously thinking of going to the ER - thought it might have been appendicitis but it was on the wrong side. His fever broke this morning and he woke up extremely whiny - I am debating taking him to the doctor.

and the right side of my back hurts :(

T@iy@ said...

Kristin- *So sorry about the 2-3 hours! That is miserable. I hope LM either feels all-the-way better today or that the Dr. can tell you something!

*Hugs!*

Angie said...

Kristin, I'm sorry too about your rough night. I hope he's better today.

Morning Taiya!

Margo said...

"He is a vegetarian, who uses leather to make custom bondage outfits for strippers and freaks" - Mulie, you have an interesting family :) I bet it will be nice for you to have your husband home!

Krisin - I hope he gets to feeling better. It's so sad when the little ones are sick.

T@iy@ said...

Morning, SW & Margaret! (oh, and Kristin-since I skipped that part)

Margo said...

On operation repo - the woman with the bad dye job reminds me of ursula from little mermaid. And, I think waking up next to Matt would drive anyone to lesbianism if you weren't already there!

Margo said...

Morning Taiya :)

T@iy@ said...

I am not incredibly disheartened by the Operation Repo news, but I didn't know that. I have watched it once or twice.

kristin said...

Oh...and the title of today's post had me wondering if Krista had actually come out of the woodwork and AP was reintroducing her.

LM pulled his Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde act and is going with SO for the day - SO is helping at a cook off. I'm a little worried but LM was all gung ho and so excited - so we will see if I get a phone call.

I am going to finish my coffee and head into work.

Anonymous said...

Kristin--sorry about LM. That's no fun.

Operation Repo...my hubs thought is was all real on TV. Had to break the news to him. His heartbroke. LOL

I had to do a double take this morning. Daisies and OHIH are next to each other in my Reader. I thought some drama was brewing.

Anonymous said...

Hi all!

SW- I translated your thing, then I read that FT already did so there's no need for a re-post!

Also, I get what you mean about Bill Clinton's aura. I don't think he's necessarily physically attractive but he is very charismatic. I think that helps a *lot!

Mulie- Yay for the husband coming home!

Kristin - Could it be that LM has a UTI. You mentioned that he needed to go to the bathroom a lot, has a fever and pain in his left iliac fossa (lower left side). Anyways, that's what it made me think of.

Sorry for the 2-3 hours of sleep. That's awful. :(

Anonymous said...

A few years ago I bought the book "1.2.3. Magic". It's for disciplining kids. Instead of yelling and screaming, you pretty much count 1 (wait 5 seconds) 2 (wait 5 seconds) 3. On 3 the child gets put into time out. There's no talking, no emotion. The child gets put in time out, no hugging or explaining why the child was put into time out. They already know why they are in time out. You use the counting method for obnoxious behaviors like whining, fighting name calling, etc.

Last night the author of the book had a seminar in our district and my friend and I went to go see it. I'm going to be starting the program again. It works for kids 2-12.

T@iy@ said...

That's interesting, Sandy. Never heard of it. Hope it works for you!

Anonymous said...

Sandy- That's how I remembered my parents disciplined my sis and I as children. I think it worked well (of course, you'd have to ask them ;) )

T@iy@ said...

I think my nesting urge is wearing off. Now what do I do? I have a ton of stuff to get ready yet for the baby (who now has a name!)

Anonymous said...

Taiya- It's great that she's got a name! Is it Aubre Leigh?

T@iy@ said...

Yep! Though, she will be Eeq on here after she is born. :)

T@iy@ said...

Due to popular request.

Anonymous said...

LOL @ Eeq!

Anonymous said...

Taiya- Aubre Leigh is a beautiful name. I love it.

Angie said...

Thanks Corinne! It was nice of you to translate.

Morning Sandy and Margaret! And anybody lurking! ::waving and wishing you'd come say Hi::

kristin said...

Maybe Corinne - but he only seems bothered by it at night - and mildly during the day.

I'm still on the fence about the doctor - b/c like I said - he was fine when I picked him up from school - just a fever - took a nap and he was good to go - still a fever but his chipper self - then last night - horrible - tossing, turning, dreams and talking in his sleep - then this morning he was very sweaty (fever broke) but whiny until he saw SO getting ready and he wanted to go with. So they are together, against my better judgement and I am at work.

So should I try to get an appointment or should I see how it goes while he is with SO?

kristin said...

LOL @ Eeq

Anonymous said...

Kristin- has he been going #2? It could be constipation if he hasn't. C would get a fever and everything and complain about her stomach and side.

Angie said...

I would see how it goes, Kristin. For what it's worth. (And my opinion is not worth much, since I don't have kids and never have!)

Shannon said...

Morning ladies.

Karen I saw you holler at me last night about where I am....Can I say that I think I have spent more time out of the house this week than I have in the last month?

Day two of getting up with hubs to take him to work and I have decided....I really do NOT like 6 anything am.

I did get to the other court yesterday and I should be starting on the community service in the next week or two. Kind of excited to be getting that done and out of the way.

Kristin I hope LM gets to feeling better and that he is good today with SO.

And Corinne...I agree with you about Billy boy. He is not attractive but there is something that draws you in.

Anonymous said...

Taiya- Aubre Leigh is a great name and it goes really well with Ryla :)

Kristin - Maybe call your SO and ask him if LM still has a fever and if he does, get a dr appt?

SW- BTW, when translating the text, I saw the word 'géodésique' (which is translated as geodesical) and I had to look up what that meant. So, thanks because I learned something new and that's cool :)

kristin said...

Sandy - that is what I asked his teacher when I picked him up- and she didn't know but he did poop (avoiding eye contact with AP) yesterday.

I don't know.

Shannon said...

Oh and Taiya I like the new baby's name

Angie said...

"avoiding eye contact with AP" LOL!

Anonymous said...

Hi Shannon! And it's great that you're starting community service next week and getting that out of the way!

Anonymous said...

Kristin- I'd wait it out and see how he does today.

Lindsay said...

Hey all :)

Kristin - I'm so sorry about LM and your grandma's dog yesterday. That's tough.

Taiya - love the name! But I'll totally use Eeq in all future conversations. Just to maintain your privacy. Not at all because it's funny :p

I heart Bill Clinton. Hubby doesn't understand that one, but man, something about him does it for me!

Shannon said...

It makes me very relieved to say the least. God why does it sometimes take so damn long to grow up??? If I would have just stopped driving and gotten things taken care of I would have been fine....but not me....OHHHHH NOOOO LOL But now it is getting taken care of and that makes me feel better.

Shannon said...

BTW did anyone else see on MWOP that in the wee hours of this morning a former OHIH member that was banned but couldnt stay away was posting there?

LOL

kristin said...

Nope shannon! I haven't got caught up.

and good for you!

Lindsay said...

That is good Shannon. You'll be so relieved to have that weight off your back.

Shannon said...

LOL I just happened to be catching up and saw that name and almost shit myself...No it isnt Krista :)

Shannon said...

You have no idea Lindsay. I mean shame shame shame on me (accepting the tsk's that AP promised me) for going so long and racking up more tickets. I spent the last nearly 12 years being paranoid about getting pulled over...now I am legal again and I just need to get this stuff gone.

T@iy@ said...

*sigh* I need to delete some photos off of my laptop so it can run properly.

Hopefully it was my computer and not blogger that messed up. Anyway, I said:

Thanks! I am excited to finally have a name! My mom sent me this link yesterday on FB which makes me glad that I have some sense.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/201003/raising-e-and-yo

Tell me he didn't do that to his kids for attention.

Anonymous said...

Hi Lindsay!

Shannon - is it TC?

T@iy@ said...

Now I need to find a suitable nickname for DD #1 and I'll be good to go. Well, I'll have to remember it, too, I suppose.

Lindsay said...

Hello Corinne :)

T@iy@ said...

Oops- Hi Lindsay, Shannon, Corinne. Anyone I missed really. :)

Lindsay said...

Okay, I'm out for a bit. I'll try to check in later :)

kristin said...

bye Linds! Hope you are doing okay!

Shannon said...

Yes Corinne...it was :) Too bad AP isnt on she would love it and probably tell us not to speak that name as we may invoke an appearance :)

Taiya blogger has been giving me fits for days with posts and such.

Muliebrity said...

kristin said...

morning mulie!

Shannon said...

morning mulie

Muliebrity said...

Shannon, I went to look and it's EXACTLY who I thought it would be at MWOP! I never understood why she got banned. I like her.

Shannon said...

Though I will admit that the banning seemed a bit over the top and I didnt really get it either that girl was a bit on the odd side and a lot of time I really didnt get her.

Muliebrity said...

Maybe she was odd, but there were just as many other odd balls that didn't get banned! lol My guess was there was some behind the scenes emails or something. I felt bad for her because she was trying to figure out her health stuff and she was getting blasted on BF and OHIH.

Lisa said...

I just got on and oh, I'd *love* for TC for make an appearance, trust me. :-D

Taiya, I love the name...it's beautiful!

Kristin, I hope LM feels better today but I'd wait and see. Sometimes even a virus can sort of center in a specific spot and make it hurt.

Mulie, I love your cousin's music and want to show this to Jake. But, please tell me this guy is self-supporting and not living in his mother's basement or something because he reminds me so much of my own, I'm scared.

KaytieJ said...

Morning Ms. Daisys!

Kristin-Just a thought, my son would have those symptoms, fever on and off, abdominal pain, not be complaining of anything else, and it ended up being strep throat. That has happened a couple times. Not telling you this to freak you out or add stress - just keep it in the back of your mind. See how he does today, could be just a cold. Sure hope he has a good day with SO. I think it is awesome SO took him!

KaytieJ said...

Taiya - Such a pretty name and Eeq is perfect, too.

For the HORSE people, I figured out how to post a pic on my blog (or better yet nonblog). It is of my black TW mare and her colt. It is from a few years ago.

Muliebrity said...

He is self-supporting, AP, but St Louis is a relatively inexpensive place to live. I don't know about his relationship with his mother, but I don't think he has much of a relationship with his father.

Lisa said...

I'm lost. Who is at MWoP?

Shannon, I think it's so great that you're getting all of this stuff sorted out. So many people don't or won't and it says a lot about you as a person that it has weighed on you and that you're willing work hard to fix it.

The Magic 123 thing? I can't remember if was this book or one that promoted the same thing that a friend gave me when Jake was born. She said it had worked great with her kids so I was all gung-ho. Let's just say mine was the exception.

KaytieJ said...

Mulie - Have a wonderful time with your hubby's homecoming!

Muliebrity said...

I even think he got married a few years ago. He gets the makeup stripes on his face by using credit cards.

Shannon said...

TC was on MWOP this morning AP

Thanks AP it has really been on me and it feels really good this last year that I have been working on these things and I cant wait to just be done with them. Hopefully with Josh working now we can get his child support back to getting paid and getting the other smaller debts we have all sorted out as well.

Lisa said...

Kaytie, the horses are so pretty. Is that all your "yard" behind them?

KaytieJ said...

AP - 1.2.3. :::Happy Go Lucky Smile:::
I have exception number 2.

Lisa said...

I'd forgotten about TC and liked it that way. Ah, well. *grins*

I'll hold my tongue about the child support since it's a touchy, touchy topic with me, I admit, nd I don't want to make you mad, but it needs paid before anything else.

KaytieJ said...

Pasture yes. It is mudville out there right now.

Lisa said...

Kaytie, knowing your son, I'm not a bit shocked that it was a massive fail with him, too. In hindsight, it's pretty damn funny but at the time I'd have to walk away to keep myself from whapping him.

kristin said...

just got a call from SO -LM wants Mommy and does not want to go lay down in the travel trailer.

KaytieJ said...

Yep, AP...throttling him or laughing my ass off. Lord, I do NOT miss those days.

KaytieJ said...

Kristin - ((((()))))

Shannon said...

OH yes it does AP and believe me I know about the frustration with the child support. It has sucked with him being out of work this last year because we havent had money to get it paid. I am going to insist that even with what the court order is that we send an extra $100 in every month, so long as his work stays steady, to help get it paid faster.

What really sucks with it is that even though his daughter lives with her grandparents they allowed her to sign off on her parental rights so that she doesnt have to pay her portion every month. He refuses to do that to his daughter. He may not be a part in her life but she is still his and he wants her to know he didnt sign her away.

In fact we are calling CS on Monday to let them know that he is back to work so that they can get the paperwork all in line.

Muliebrity said...

Hubby has landed in KC, so we can pick him up from base in a few hours!

Muliebrity said...

My house is still a mess. sigh.

T@iy@ said...

Hi again. I keep disappearing. I go in a room, see something that needs doing, which leads to something else that needs doing and I get distracted. *sigh* Can't wait until I can multitask, successfully, again.

What picture on the discussion?

Muliebrity said...

of the person who started the thread

T@iy@ said...

Oh. You didn't see when she posted the whole big discussion surrounding that photo?

T@iy@ said...

Damn blogger.

Robin in Montana said...

I didn't see that discussion- just the picture of the two girls kissing and a thread about breast feeding. What's the scoop?

Muliebrity said...

haha, no, I missed it!

KaytieJ said...

YAY to Mulie's hubby almost being home!

Robin in Montana said...

Kaytie - your horses are beautiful! I need to get some of all my horses up on my blog soon. Bunch of lugs, they are. :-D

KaytieJ said...

Thank you Taiya.

Robin in Montana said...

Kaytie - I meant to ask yesterday, what kind of bits do you ride your horses with? I've been riding Jerry with a hackamore, becauseI grew up with them, understand how to use one correctly, and I like not messing with a bit, etc., but I am thinking he might do better in something else.

T@iy@ said...

Mulie- Yeah, it was all in-your-face. Does *this photo bother you? I'm not a second rate citizen, blah blah. I happen to agree that she isn't, but the way she posted was intentionally inflammatory and just a hot mess.

Angie said...

Okay, I'm leaving work and heading out of town for the weekend to visit my folks in LA (Lower Alabama). I hope to be able to check in a couple of times from their house, but if you don't see me this weekend, you know why.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and especially that Mulie has a great time with hubby and that LM gets better, Kristin.

::waving bye::

T@iy@ said...

Have a great weekend, SW!

Muliebrity said...

Have a good one, SW!

I think I will be signing off shortly.

KaytieJ said...

Safe journey and a fun time, SW!

RiM - I use a D ring snaffle bit. I find them easy to use and my horses are sensitive to them so I don't have to put too much pressure on them. I grew up with hackamores and bareback, too. So I had to experiment with bits. Good luck!

Shannon said...

So I am unfortunately having a moment of evil pleasure.....

Taiya close your eyes

There are many from MWOP who are having the recent Ipad "giveaway/raffle" investigated apparently there could be legality issues with how it is being done.

Shannon said...

and maybe evil pleasure is not the proper phrase I am looking for either

Muliebrity said...

"There are many from MWOP who are having the recent Ipad "giveaway/raffle" investigated apparently there could be legality issues with how it is being done."

I think it's kind of sour grapes. Who really cares?

KaytieJ said...

Shannon :::whispering::: I saw that. Apparently there is a $49 limit on giveaways on Blogher (whatever that is). My guess, she opened it up, used it, will claim it used and valued at $49.00 :-D

Robin in Montana said...

She's violated the terms of Blogher's rules about giveaways in the past with no repercussions, hasn't she? How the hell much do one of those things cost, anyway?

Shannon said...

One person over there mentioned bribery...To me it really does feel of bribery. If people make a donation they get the chance to win, an already used, Ipad.....I am sorry but for me once again it makes me a bit sick at those who are doing this more than her but seriously giving should come from the heart not because you want something in return.

Shannon said...

I believe she said it was purchased for $500

Robin in Montana said...

Wow. She is a moron.

Muliebrity said...

That is generally the point of a raffle, to get people to contribute money they would not normally give. It's just like any church raffle, except on the internet.

KaytieJ said...

It certainly caught my eye...I want to sign up for it, win it and...give it to SW :-D

T@iy@ said...

I don't have to close my eyes. I am not delusional, and I don't idolize her. :) I'm good.

I was worried for a minute, though. I can't handle anymore of the Bill Clinton as... *gulp* sexy *gag* talk. *Cough*SW*Cough* Mck talk I can handle just fine.

Shannon said...

LOL Taiya it is much less disturbing isnt it?

Mulie I think that the biggest part of it is that there may actually be laws in MN that prohibit doing this kind of stuff.

Robin in Montana said...

I can't sign up for it, given my whole banned status. lol.

It doesn't really bother me in the big scheme of things, but I find it weird how she tries to tie things like giving away that thing to the life-altering change she apparently experienced in Africa. The two things have ... *what, exactly, to do with one another? I could get her sponsoring a child for every child that gets sponsored, up to a set limit, or offering a giveaway like PW did where she sponsors a kid in the name of the winner of the contest, whatever. Whatever. She's not an idiot when it comes to figuring out ways to get money from the masses, so who am I to fault her for *that? lol.

T@iy@ said...

I do agree with Mulie, though. It may cause problems with BlogHer, but otherwise I don't see the harm. If people don't want to do it they don't have to. (Me, for instance). She had a disclaimer at the bottom, too, that stated that their was no purchase necessary to enter and to just e-mail her which means that you can enter without donating, right?

T@iy@ said...

Definitely way less disturbing. For which I am eternally grateful!

Muliebrity said...

It would be one thing if someone was offended by the raffle for moral reasons, but people are complaining to be spiteful. Which is fine too, but major money is being raised for a worthy organization.

Robin in Montana said...

well, the 'worthy organization' thing is up for debate ... lol. I'm kidding. I just think they, like any other organization, for all their good intentions, are still a business and that's their first goal. Nothing wrong with that, either, just saying.

Robin in Montana said...

But I do agree that people are bitching just because it's JM and there would be bitching no matter what she did, just because it's her.

T@iy@ said...

<---agrees with Robin. (about the griping, not the organization thing, because I like CI)

Muliebrity said...

I questioned my self using "worthy". lol

Robin in Montana said...

Mulie - hee!

Okay, I have *got to get something done today. I am a slacker from hell and want to just curl up on the couch and watch trash t.v.

T@iy@ said...

Ditto that RiM. Well, about getting something done. I just want to sit and play on the internets and not do anything else. I need to, though, because my hubs won tickets to a concert that is tonight, and I need to be ready when he gets home!

Robin in Montana said...

Taiya - cool! What concert?

T@iy@ said...

It's a christian concert. KJ52 and Group 1 Crew. No idea. I listen to christian music most of the time but I don't catch names. I have my favorites that I listen to continuously (Skillet) and the rest I just get to know the songs, but not the singers, so I am not actually sure who they are or what they really sing. I'm looking forward to it, though. :) I just love concerts in general. Plus it's a date night, which I will never turn down! And it's free except for the hour + drive to get there.

Robin in Montana said...

Well, that's all good. I hope you have a great time and enjoy your date!

Muliebrity said...

Peace out ya'll! Need to go get the man in a few and still have to change the cat box, vacuum, and get myself and the boys dressed.

Robin in Montana said...

Have a good weekend, Mulie! Enjoy your husband's return.

T@iy@ said...

I am out, too. I really have to work on Eeq's room before she gets here! Plus DD #1 needs a nap. Hope you have a great weekend with your hubby, Mulie! :)

kristin said...

bye Taiya - enjoy date night.

Bye Mulie - enjoy the hubby.

LM is now on my bed watching his "moobie".

My back is killing me and LM fell asleep in the car so I carried him in, I felt like an old man - I was all hunched over and walking very slowly :(

kristin said...

and as far as what JM is doing, i think it is shady. She bought it to give away - then teases her sheeple to keep clicking knowing the whole time it isn't really going to be a giveaway - yes it benefits CI - but the click - click - click - is just not truthful - hey -you can try to win this but you have to donate and leave me a comment when you do.

So click - click - click until I post the giveaway - then click - to tell me - yeah, she comes out way ahead of the $499.00 she spent on this.

Anonymous said...

Kristin - Does LM still have a fever? I'm sorry your back hurts :(

Re: Ipad giveaway.

You all know I don't like JM at.all. She is sneaky, untruthful, manipulative.
However, this time, I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I know she is doing it for clicks, and thus profitting from the giveaway *but* money will be given to an organization -with which, admittedly, I have issues- and someone will win an Ipad. Honestly, it's a win-win-win situation, even if the moral background is more than shady.

Robin in Montana said...

::slinking back in:::

So Corinne, you're a perfume/scented stuff and clothes freak. How about makeup?

My SIL just 'became a fan' on FB of what looks to be mineral makeup called "Cowgirl Dirt" and so now, of course, I need some. lol.

Lisa said...

"I think it's kind of sour grapes. Who really cares?"

I care. She defaulted on two mortgages that will cost innocent taxpayers money to cover. Money taken from their families. She had a car repossessed. That cost innocent people money. She owes money on taxes...*back taxes. And she spends $500 on an iPad to give away? I've got *major issues with it...it's immoral and unethical as hell.

Anonymous said...

RiM- I <3 makeup too. (Gosh, I sound super superficial, don't I? LOL).

Lisa said...

SW, have a good, safe time!

Mulie, enjoy your husband being home - he won't care about the house and you can clean while he catches up with the kids later.

"Mulie- Yeah, it was all in-your-face. Does *this photo bother you? I'm not a second rate citizen, blah blah. I happen to agree that she isn't, but the way she posted was intentionally inflammatory and just a hot mess."

I hate shit like that. It's a contributing factor as to why so many people still have issues with us. If we want to be treated the same, stop trying so hard to be different and shove it down people's throats.

Anonymous said...

AP- I didn't think of it this way but you're right (per usual ;) ).

Margo said...

It is shady and I don't think it's nitpicking to expect CI to play by the rules other non-profits have to play by. Am I picking up the phone and calling my friends over at the IRS - no. I'm too busy trying to get something done about the freaking burned out house on my street :)

Lisa said...

Adding to the JM iPad thing, I'm not supporting people trying to turn her in, for the record. It's one thing to bitch about it, I still say she's nothing but ghetto-fabulous, but most of us *ought to have better things to do with our time than trying to actively get her in trouble over it. There are bigger and better things to actively try to fix in this world than JM giving away an iPad.

Margo said...

AP - don't worry too much about JM, she said in a post that she's overwhelmed by the amount of money they raised - she thought they would raise a few thousand or enough to "recoup" the cost of the iPad. I'm sure she's going to pay herself back for the iPad and use that money to pay down her debts.

Lisa said...

"My SIL just 'became a fan' on FB of what looks to be mineral makeup called "Cowgirl Dirt" and so now, of course, I need some. lol."

I need more info...lol.

Corinne, I'm far from usually being right. I just put on a good show. :-D

Kristin, I'm sorry you and LM are down today. I hope you both get to feeling better soon.

Lisa said...

Margaret, that's true...I'm sure most will be paid by tomorrow night. *nods*

Robin in Montana said...

Corinne - If all you knew how to talk about was makeup and clothes, I might buy superficial, but it's not, not by a long shot.

So. Makeup. lol. What do you like? I love Bare Minerals, but only the foundation, although I have a hibbityjillion of their eyeshadows. I will buy things based on good packaging, I'm not going to lie. lol. (Benefit being a prime example - how can you pass up a product called 'You Rebel' or "Bad Gal"? I know.)

Robin in Montana said...

AP - I agree about the shoving it down people's throat thing. If you (generic 'you') want to be treated the same, then just act the same, you know? I don't have a picture of me sticking my tongue down Kelly's throat as my avatar, and insist we must be treated equally even if we aren't married, after all. lol. (I would, but I am just *so not photogenic ;:)

Okay, the link for Cowgirl Dirt. http://cowgirldirt.com/

RiM- re:makeup.

I don't wear foundation every day because I have an oily/prone to breakouts skin but when I do, it's either bareminerals or Clinique antiblemish foundation. I use the lighter shade for both because I have skin that is very light (not quite alabaster but light enough).

I don't really have a favorite brand of eyeshadow, I usually just go for the colors that appeal me. Most of my eyeshadows have either orange, pink or brown undertones.

As for eyeliners, I use Clinique almost exclusively because I have sensitive eyes and need hypoallergenic stuff. I do have one that is from "The body shop" and that I really like (it's a metallic blue-ish green).

I don't wear blush that often but the one I use is from "the body shop" - it's a light peach color.

Now, I'm *slightly* obsessed with mascara. I have one from about every brand on the market, from Chanel to covergirl. I know.

:-D

Robin in Montana said...

Totally aside, and who knows where the hell this came from in my brain, but this morning, there was this very old, very *not fit guy at the gym. Standard get-up of old guys at gym -- gray sweats from Walmart and white t-shirt that's not so white any more. All good and well. BUT. He also had the standard old guys Hanes, also not so white, hiked up around his armpits, with his t-shirt tucked in. I am scarred.

Anonymous said...

I forgot nailpolish. Duh.

My go-to brands are Essie and OPI (super obvious, I know).

Most of the time I either wear Essie 'Ballet slippers' or OPI 'I pink I love you'.

Essie has a new color 'Tart deco' (a coral color) which I'm eager to try.

Robin in Montana said...

Killed it with the old guy and his yellow undies, didn't I?

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the image, RiM. LOL! :-D

Shannon said...

I think it is funny that people are turning her in and investigating the legality of it all. Would I personally do it....no because I really dont care that much about the woman or what she does or does not do but I do find it humorous when people call her out.

Anonymous said...

I'm logging off for today. Have a good day, all! :)

Lisa said...

Robin, you're in Podunk, MT. What do you *expect to see? :-D

Thanks for the link...love, love Bare Minerals foundation but am always game to see if anything better is out there. I'm with you about not liking the other products, though. I have the best luck with Revlon Colorstay eyeshadow...it holds up well in the heat and humidity here. Gel eyeliner is another huge thing I'm always trying. Oh, the other thing I love? The Covergirl lipstains that work like a marker...those with clear gloss or lipbalm gives the prettiest look!

Robin in Montana said...

I've never tried a gel eyeliner. What brand?

Lisa said...

Shannon, it *is funny. I mean, if they're going to do it, I'll read it and chuckle. I'm not *that above it all. :-D

Corinne, I was just cleaning out my nail polish box a few minutes ago, which means I'll need more. I'm really liking Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri polish. It has a special brush so that it covers in one stroke (it really does, too, except on my big toenails), dries super fast and I can get a good week out of it with no chips and not babying it. I've got the Snappy Sorbet on now - sort of a pale orange. And you'll never know since you left.

Lisa said...

Robin, I said gel and they aren't..I have no idea why I said that because it's really a liquid. It's the eyeliner pens that are like markers, with a felt tip. I like the Revlon ColorStay one best but the colors are really limited...I think to black and black-ish brown. I use the blackish brown one then go over it with a bit of shadow. It lasts all day doing that.

Robin in Montana said...

AP - Ah, I understand. I don't care about the color selection, since I tend to wear dark brown or dark gray only, anyway. I like the Clinique eyeliners, mostly. I don't have access to a makeup counter that sells Benefit, but they sell a product called She-Laq that you can put over *anything (I use it on eyeliner) and it won't budge for hours.

kristin said...

wow - reading on MWoP - and I'm sorry but I am not quite sure about this Kathryn girl - she just doesn't seem like the brightest bulb - KWIM? So not sure if she "explained" it to the Minnesota Gambling Association - ya know?

KaytieJ said...

Kristin - Hope your back is feeling a little better - JM, too. Did he have fun at the cook off?

Taiya - Have a wonderful date night at the concert!

Shannon said...

Kristin I really cant even comment about Kathryn....remember she is the one who was on JM's BF that one night when all that shit got going.

kristin said...

I had that typed out and then erased it - I don't think the elevator goes all the way to the top on that one.

I was tempted to say something about her spelling - atrocious - but I bit my tongue.

and asking for a refund if she doesn't win - who does that?

Margo said...

Kathryn wanted to get her money back AFTER they raffled the iPad and she didn't win. Who says that?

Margo said...

Oh god - I didn't see what Kristin wrote and I can't spell - eek.

T@iy@ said...

Okay, I have about no time, but I am super ecstatic and proud of myself for getting up off of my big butt, so I am going to share really quick. I cleaned the kitchen, washed the curtains (a certain husband fried one night and got grease on them) AND made a ton of progress on Eeq's space!. :) Okay, off to drop the kid.

kristin said...

yeah taiya - and no worries Margaret - she just bugs.

T@iy@ said...

Oh, and since I saw you mention Kathryn. She is ape-shit crazy, and since i make it a habit to watch my language and to give people the benefit of the doubt, I seriously seriously mean it. She just wants to go where the drama goes. She kisses Mck's ass then turns around and starts crap on her forum, and then goes to MWOP and starts crap with the people on SIFs forum, then hauls her stupid ass back to SIFs to kiss up. After she sent her Mommy over there to defend her.

Dang I have a lot to say about her.

Margo said...

Taiya - I don't know how you can say you're lazy with all you do and your big baby bump :)

T@iy@ said...

Okay- really do have to go. Let the date night commence!

kristin said...

have fun taiya

Muliebrity said...

Not a fan of Kathryn, she is off her rocker and is trying to get attention anywhere she can get it. She is one of those people who has she loves God plastered all over her blog and then does the most unChristian things. She is just nuts! She has called me out so many times on the most bizarre things.

Shannon said...

LOL I am glad to see that others are vocal with how Kathryn is.....Mind you when I said I couldnt speak about her it is because I would have had a freaking novel going on on here :)

And yes she is off her rocker and most definitely one of the most hypocritical people I have ever run across in a long long time.

Muliebrity said...

I just can't believe that she is trying to get JM in trouble. I prefer that people get into their own trouble, not have some two-faced psycho do it! Many (if not all) of the readers at MWOP don't know she is crazy and are encouraging her nutty-ness. Crazy don't need encouragement, ya'll!

Muliebrity said...

Again, every person at MWOP is saying bribery. That is the point of a raffle! To encourage people to give! Same thing the Boy Scouts outside Wal-Mart do! Hit me up to win a plasma tv or whatever! Or the ones I just brought from a friend to win a vacation for 2. It's a tool for raising money, not bribery!

::end rant::

Shannon said...

I left a comment at her earlier about her busyness with it all and it was in fact more of a backhanded comment rather then a compliment. THOUGH I do find it freaking hilarious that woman is a total nutjob.....she is just plain faced psycho because she did go from being in love with JM and then hating her and then back to loving her to where she is now...I think she it the true version of someone who is lonely and jealous.

Shannon said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Muliebrity said...

And the best part, Shannon, she has pulled another one of her tricks and deleted all her comments when she was called out! So typical! She is a moron.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Hi all:

RE: yesterday's conversation, I would ride Bill Clinton like a pony. I don't care who knows it. I dig on powerful, charismatic men, and I'd much rather have him in office than a lot of the people who are possibilities now.

::ducking::

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Also, Kathryn is nuts. NUTS.

Muliebrity said...

And she makes me nuts more than anyone I've ever encountered online and I was a regular on OHIH for months!

KaytieJ said...

Is Kathryn the one with the pink tutu mom?

Raffles for charities and fund raisers give gifts so they can entice buyers, "funders". I have a Michael Jordan back pack just because of that :::eye roll:::

On another hand, most of the auctions and fund raisers I go to, the monies are put into the expenses of running the auction and the left over goes to the charity. I think what people are offended about is that her side profit on this is not, that it is going to her?

My other question is if the extra money she makes off all the clicking side money does go to paying her back taxes and due taxes and other debts, maybe that is a good thing? Did she state she was going to do that? Just curious.
