Hey Bella, meet my on Archer Ave. I need to break some bottles! LOL

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Kaytie, if you are still here, I just sent you the link to the site. It's working again. ;)

I don't think I had any genetic testing other than them looking at the ultrasound. I asked them to check for the congenital hip b/c that is hereditary and my mom has cousins that have had it. While I *think it is more prominent in females, her cousins were male. So that is all (that I know of) that they tested but I could be totally wrong b/c I was so freaked out at the fact I was pregnant - while in school and single.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Kristin:

Yeah. I'd be freaked out too. ;)

Anonymous said...

Blogger is a freaking asshat! Thank you very much and have a nice day.

T@iy@ said...

Sandy- agreed.

Amy said...

Kristin! :)
How's the injury? Question...have you thought about making a Martha Stewart-esque cake with tombstones for the Ho-worker's party?

T@iy@ said...

How many posts does it take to get it back running again, I wonder? I don't have to post poop a bunch ( don't ban me, AP!) but if we knew we could just move it along.

Amy said...

Blogger is being obstinate again.

Anonymous said...

The asshat that I am married to is be a vile bastard tonight. I am so not having a fun day.

Muliebrity said...

Luckily I'm a genius when it comes to disasters, so I scooped up the paint while hubby had a smoke, and had him ready the carpet cleaner. We've been keeping it wet and just running the carpet cleaner over and over and right now it doesn't look half bad, but we are going to continue to add water, then suck it up until it's as good as it's going to get. We also found a google cure: Windex!

Anonymous said...

I think we need to hit over 200. From what I can tell we're at 199. Everybody say poop.

T@iy@ said...

Sandy- Sorry ((hugs))

Anonymous said...

Poop!

Anonymous said...

See poop worked!

Thanks Taiya. I know you guys are tired of my whining about the asshat. He's blaming me for the way C is. Like I gave her the evil eye while I was pregnant and wished this all to happen. Big fat fuck is what he is.

T@iy@ said...

Dear Mr. Blogger,

You are making me angry. Fix your glitches. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Taiya

kristin said...

oh sandy! I am so very sorry! He is an asshat and a douche canoe!

I think he has Asperger's myself. So do a few other people.

kristin said...

hey - what are some free software editing programs. I know I've used one but I didn't bookmark it :(

T@iy@ said...

Sandy- what a bunch of crap! And you can talk about the asshat all you want. :( How horrible! Asperger's isn't fun, but it doesn't make her a leper! She is still a person and acting like there is some blame attached to it is just crap!

KaytieJ said...

Sandy - Damn, that is too much. I am so sorry.

Margo said...

Sandy - I'm sorry you're married to such an ass!

Angie said...

Sandy, don't know what to say but that sucks. Men are asshats, in general, IMHO.

Really Frugal said...

Sandy,So unfair. You really need a partner in parenting, not an adversary.

Mulie, You are a carpet hero!

Lisa said...

Mulie, I'm not sure if this is good advise or not but I'd keep that paint wet. Seems like dried paint would be harder to get out than wet paint and so yeah, I'd keep it wet and call a carpet cleaning company tomorrow.

Kaytie, I have no clue what all I was tested for when I was pregnant with Jake. I tried to block it all out. They could have tested me for Parvo for all I know.

Angie said...

I don't know how many Moms really have partners in parenting, but I sometimes think it's the exception, and not the rule.

tumbleweedgirl said...

i'm an aspie

Muliebrity said...

CF runs in my family, so my husband and I did a full course of genetic testing before we decided to have kids. Luckily, we are both neg for just about everything. We were willing to adopt if there were any genetic markers we were both positive for. My sister is a CF carrier and her husband's sister is, but he hasn't been tested.

Jennifer-Lynn said...

Sandy, I'm so, so sorry.

kristin said...

Yes, I agree with you Sandy - as much as I would love to have a partner, I kinda like doing it alone. All my decisions.

Really Frugal said...

SW, you almost make me feel guilty for the men in my life. He, and our son/sons-in-law, and my BIL's are all real men, partners, and only *sometimes asshats.

Lisa said...

Sandy, I wish you could leave his ass. He's too ignorant to be among normal human beings. And I"m so, so sorry for those emails today. :-(

Really Frugal said...

AP - Parvo - LOL!

KaytieJ said...

AP - I thought that would be your answer. And *surprise, mine too.

BD - WOW!!! So many choices...I'm loving it, but e-mail me your picks for the best full bodied, smooth CS or Merlot, please.

Muliebrity said...

Sandy, did you catch that blog I posted earlier? Her son is an aspie too.

twirldawg said...

RF don't feel guilty. Sounds like you have a great husband and raised a great son.

T@iy@ said...

So, I went to my bank today and wanted to cash 2 checks. One for 25 and one for 75. And they told me that they charge $10 per check fee to cash checks. Anyone heard of this? I was hyper pissed.

bookjunkie said...

Sandy, still trying to catch up, but I am just so sorry. =(

Kristin- may have been answered already but 2 that I know of are picnik and lunapic.

Angie said...

Oh, that's what an "aspie" is! I've been puzzled.

Angie said...

Holy crap, Taiya? Are *your bank? I've never heard of that. Banks are the devil.

bookjunkie said...

Never heard of that, Taiya. Wal-Mart will cash one for $3 each I think (?).

twirldawg said...

Taiya is that your bank?

I just learned a lesson on FB. Don't sit on Erin's couches.

bookjunkie said...

Google has Picasa for editing, too Kristin but it requires a download. I don't think the other 2 do though.

Margo said...

Taiya - that's nonsense. My bank won't cash a check unless there is equal money in my account but they don't charge me.

bookjunkie said...

Are you talking about *photo editing programs, Kristin? I probably just answered a ? you didn't even ask. =)

Erin said...

Lol, Jill. You can. You might get poisoned from all the ant spray under the cushions though. Damn lazy kids.
Does anyone remember those wax bottle candies filled with juice?

T@iy@ said...

And it's a credit union! They are supposed to be more user friendly. They only do it if you have a deposit of $500 or more. What. The. Hell?

We have had nothing but problems with them and this is the end. 2 weeks ago they called me because their web bill pay system glitched and they sent a $4 check to my car payment company instead of $400. Then they assured me that they would send an 'official' letter and a check fixing the problems. So about 11 days later we got a copy of the letter and it told the car place that we were attempting to pay $4000! I called the bank to make sure the check they sent was $400. They never sent a check. At all. They apparently didn't note that I wanted them to. So *we had to call our car company. *we had to fix their problem.

Needless to say, I went to another bank and opened an account after my OB appt. and we are switching everything over to that as soon as possible..

Just wondering if I was being hormonal, because I was *pissed. Then the teller gave me lip because i said "Fine, I want to deposit $100, then I want to withdraw $100" and she sighed really loud and said "They don't like us to do that" and I said, "I don't care. The bank shouldn't treat there customers, who have been with this bank 11 years that way." And she continued to gripe the whole time she did it.

T@iy@ said...

Yes, it is my bank. My husband has had the account since he was 16. And we had $300 in the checking alone.

Anonymous said...

Mulie, I did and added it to my Reader.

I want out of here more than any of you know.

Anonymous said...

Sandy, I would be happy to break a few bottles with you anytime :) I'm sorry you are having a shitty day, and feeling alone due to Mr. Craptastic.

I just ate hot chili ramen for dinner, klassy! Cleared out the old sinuses, though.

kristin said...

BJ - picnik is the one I was thinking of, I figured it out. Thanks!

bookjunkie said...

That is crazy, Taiya! Nope, not unreasonable to switch at all.

bookjunkie said...

Ok, after I re-read I thought maybe you were talking about actual software writing/editing program or something. You know, after all of TWG's "geek" talk today which had my head spinning. ;) Just kidding, TWG. Wish I was that computer literate.

T@iy@ said...

I would completely back up Mr. Blogger's bowels if I were to relay all of the problems we have had and all of their "Customer service" help.

It probably didn't endear me to them much when i pointed out that they are just trying to recoup the money they just blew on making their building an ugly, expensive monstrosity.

kristin said...

I may have said software editing b/c that is what I googled and was totally confused...and realized what I did and then changed it.

Taiya - ouch! that is ridiculous. I would write a letter saying how rude the teller was and that their rules are ridiculous.

T@iy@ said...

Kristin- I am planning on it. Also going to call the manager and give them hell just for the fun of it. My Mom is also going to write a letter because she was with me and was royally pissed at the rule and lady's attitude.

T@iy@ said...

My Mom doesn't bank there, FYI. ha

KaytieJ said...

Taiya - I have never experienced that charging of cashing checks to a bank or cu that we belonged to. I have had that happen going to a bank we don't belong to.
Banks are the Devil's Minions. I DESPISE BofA.

Margo said...

Sandy - I really hope your day will come soon when you can be with your kids without the stress of him.

EL - I'm reading back in your blog. I love those little planters you made!

I'm off to bed - good night daisies :)

T@iy@ said...

I have been charged to cash a check at a bank where the person who wrote the check banks. National City. This is a cu, though, and I have the account. So ridiculous.

Erin said...

Goodnight Margaret. Those planters are still alive, a small miracle.

Lacrosse was cold and wet. My kids better appreciate how much I like them!

kristin said...

Night Margaret!

kristin said...

I like David Cook - they are doing an Aid benefit - and he is just enjoying himself.

T@iy@ said...

Goodnight Margaret!

KaytieJ said...

RF - Is your fever down? Thinking so, and hoping so since you are on. Was really worried with that high of a fever.
And no apologies or guilt for having a partner and kids who help out.

KaytieJ said...

Night Margaret!

Kristin - Plugging ears with Frozen Yogurt Tampons. I have to wait 2 more hours for AI...wah!

I ADORE David Cook! I have his songs on my phone.

Anonymous said...

G'night, Margaret!

Did anyone see the FOF with JM on it today? Was it just me, or was the camera angle on Mck really odd? Like stretched out sideways? Her face looked like it was on a funhouse mirror, and I am not being snarky. It looked so weird.

kristin said...

I think I am going to have to find some of his songs or get his CD.

OMG! I am gonna cry! The little girl Annie Lennox is showcasing (or whatever) - wow! just wow!

Angie said...

We won't spoil AI, Kaytie! BD trained us well about you left-coasters' TV time difference.

kristin said...

I put pics of my injury on my blog.

And I seriously need to clean since my mom will be here tomorrow.

Anonymous said...

Good night ladies. I've got a pounding headache and I'm going to bed early.

T@iy@ said...

Didn't want the web cast, but she just announced that it is available to watch online. Not interested, but if anyone else is....

kristin said...

night sandy, sorry 'bout the headache :(

T@iy@ said...

Didn't watch it either. :)

KaytieJ said...

SW - Thank you! I am sitting here whimpering and had to bury myself in BD's wine site while my son is playing David's songs on my phone and practicing his dance moves in front of me.

TMI - Prom is coming up, he has not asked anyone yet, he has never had a girl friend or gone to any of the dances, but he got a braided bracelet from a Sophomore girl. Even though he is a Freshman, I am so not ready for this.
BD - Do you ship Priority?

Lindsay said...

Sandy - I know you are heading to bed, but I thought I would tell you, I don't mind sending a huge boot to put up his ass. And you can tell him it's courtesy of me!

Lindsay said...

Oh, and Erin, I thought of you. They are thinking about introducing Lacrosse as a high school sport in our state! Yay! I hope it passes the vote. That would be so exciting.

Kaytie - Um yeah. Lucky you. At least he waited until 9th grade :/

Lindsay said...

And now I continue to ramble to myself . . .

Kristin - ouch!!!

Mulie - try Goof Off. It removes paint from anything as long as it isn't dry. If it is dry, it might still work, but not as sure a thing. You can get it at a hardware store.

Taiya - banks suck. I'm so glad I don't work for one. I would hate to have to be such a bitch.

kristin said...

I'm here Lindsay - I need to clean - I have half my pantry on my kitchen table. :)

Erin said...

Lindsay- it is a great sport. Men's is better than women's. Not really fair that the *boys get to hit each other with sticks, and yet the girls can't. The girls have to play nice.

KaytieJ said...

Bella - bj posted about the web cast earlier. she has very descriptive terms for McKmania's looks. I think you will agree with them.

Oh...I would LOVE to break a beer bottle on purpose. I would also love to be with your Irish Amazonian self and Cousins on Ashcroft Avenue to take on Sandy's Asshat. I may not be Irish, but I am a relatively tall American of Pioneer (think Conastoga) and Viking descent. (I blame my 8.0 Klutziness on the English parcel).

Erin said...

Kristin- I saw you wanted a snake. Have you ever had to feed one? He won't eat. This is the first time we have had to feed him too.

Lindsay said...

I just royally effed up painting my toenails. Grr. Shouldn't multi-task.

Really Frugal said...

Kaytie, yes thanks. Down to under 100 now after a five hour nap. Don't know if I will sleep tonight, but at least I feel like I will live. Now husband is sneezing and complaining that his neck hurts. That's how I started, so I guess he will be MIA tomorrow. And probably be way sicker than I have ever been, and need soup, and juice, and quiet. Sick men are a PITA.

T@iy@ said...

Do you want to borrow my Nail Painting for Dummies book, Lindsay? I will share.

I am just grateful that after a few showers the stuff on my toes wore off so I didn't have to try to attack it with a q-tip and nail polish remover and screw them up more. :)

KaytieJ said...

Lindsay - Yes. I was thinking of you when posting that. Either way it rolls, it is still such a leap of faith. Sigh. Parenting.

Really Frugal said...

Erin, what are you feeding it? What kind of snake? No expertise here, just curiosity.

Muliebrity said...

"Woodstock happened many years ago to turn a generation for worse. It is time to turn a generation on to Jesus Christ. June 14-18: Join a huge gathering of believers in Poplar Bluff, MO to cry out to God and seek His face in getting ready for a third Great Awakening."

What the hell does this mean?

KaytieJ said...

RF - Oh boy! Glad to hear your fever is down. However from personal and professional experience, men require so much more. Hope you get some sleep tonight!

Erin said...

RF- it is a young ball python. My son just got him last week. I tried to feed him a 'pinkie' (small pink mouse), but no go. I was reading that they may not eat something that is too small, but that you shouldn't give it something too *big.
I really hope your hubby does not get sick. There is very little worse than a sick man!

Really Frugal said...

Who is slamming Woodstock? As someone who tried to run away from home to get there, I resent that.

Erin said...

Mulie- sounds like a place they would *definitly have koolaid.

Really Frugal said...

Erin, my son babysat the science teacher's snakes over a couple of breaks. They would not always eat right away, but seemed to want to terrorize and play with their dinner first. Son was raising gerbils at the time, so he always had a supply of fresh food. :(

Angie said...

Ha, EL!

Really Frugal said...

KaytieJ said...
from personal and professional experience, men require so much more.

Many years ago my husband landed in the hospital with pneumonia - first time hospital stay. The nurse pulled me out in the hall and said "He's really not all that sick, but if he doesn't calm down he's going to be." I think that means he won the biggest baby prize.

T@iy@ said...

Benadryl, blessed benadryl is kicking in. I am going to bed. Cross your fingers for sleep, no belching and no queasiness. Night!

Erin said...

Night Taiya. Good luck.

RF- luckily, the stuff they eat now comes frozen in a non-see-through package at PetCo!

Really Frugal said...

I'm sweating again. Guess I will take some Nyquil and try to sleep. Goodnight all.

Lindsay said...

Sleep tight Taiya. I might have you toss me that book in the morning. I was headed for the medicine cabinet for q-tips and remover!

RF - They are *big babies. Hope you are on the mend, and he miraculously heals overnight.

Mulie - I'll probably skip the Third Awakening Reunion Tour :/

EL - you are a better mother than I. No snakes. Period. I'd have to check to make sure it was in it's tank everytime before going to the bathroom. Ugh.

Goodnight to everyone else. Off to watch Wow Wow Wubbsy. Woot!

tumbleweedgirl said...

kristin

i'm glad to read along farther and find you wanted photo editing software.

i was trying to think of how to explain MS dev and other programs. i was wondering if you were getting in to programming. (:

tumbleweedgirl said...

el

your snake won't eat? what kind?

tumbleweedgirl said...

el,

a ball python? o those are so pretty! we had one for a while. he liked live mice. is the mouse alive? have you left them alone for a while?

sometimes the python won't eat much for a while. i dunno why. ours ate once a month or two. unless the cat caught a mouse, then he'd eat the live one.

Erin said...

Ball python. Juvie.

kristin said...

EL - I used to work in the Education dept at Moody and they had snakes - but they would "sacrifice" them first by swinging them by the tail and hitting it against something hard. They were still "fresh" but posed no injury to the snake.

I don't know. That is all I can offer.

Okay - pantry is done - now just the rest of the house :(

I have 4 jars of PB and 4 things of honey - I don't think I will ever use that much honey :)

Muliebrity said...

Try putting honey on pancakes or something, Kristin. We have been going through a bunch of honey lately.

Erin said...

Rhys- Tucker just got him. I am going to try again tomorrow. He didn't quite have permission to get a snake, and was going to leave it at a friends house. That is not how we treat animals. I don't mind snakes, and he is very cool. I was worried b/c Janey used to be terrified by snakes, but she really loves him. She will sit by the cage and watch him for a long time.

kristin- I have read about those ways to have 'fresh' but not live food. i am not *that strong stomached.

Erin said...

And honey is really good on yogurt too.

tumbleweedgirl said...

el

i'm guessing he is upset at being moved. give him a week or so. he won't die. they like to eat alone, in the dark. they tend to be shy.

they like live food.

tumbleweedgirl said...

wow, sorry, i guess talk of live food to a snake is pushing it

(:

o well. i'm eating lunch. or dinner. or something. gearing up for tomorrow's PT appt.

T@iy@ said...

Ugh Ugh. Ugh! Damn stupid itchy legs. It *has to be a pregnancy sypmptom and even with benadryl I can't sleep!!! My legs itch so much and there is nothing on them. No rash or anything. I have even tried putting lotion on them and it doesn't help. It is driving me batty and i am so so so so exhausted!

Muliebrity said...

Sorry, Taiya! Take more benadryl!

Ginger said...

Taiya, have you tried an oatmeal bath? The clients here love em with itchy skin

T@iy@ said...

No, Ginger, but I will try tomorrow before bed. See if it helps. I am also buying Unisom tomorrow. Thought I had some but I don't.

tumbleweedgirl said...

taiya

or baking soda paste.

kristin said...

hey ginger!

Sorry ladies - still cleaning - took out the trash and swept the kitchen.

Ginger said...

EL- my boys would love to have a snake but their dad is totally freaked out by anything like that, said we could gety a lizard..so we went and got a blue tongued skink which is basically a snake with legs lol..hubby was not happy but really couldn't say anything..as long as we don't have to do the mouse thing he seems ok with it

T@iy@ said...

Going to take benadryl and try to sleep again. Crap. Night.

Ginger said...

Hi Kristin :) Cleaning is always fun, my big clean will be next week since we (work) all got laid off effective next week I will need something to take out my flusters on. At least I won't have to worry about co-workers complaining about the layoff anymore LOL

Tara. said...

Is anyone around. Is this thing working?
*tap tap*

Ginger said...

lol Tara I was wondering the same thing..it froze up on me last night but when looked today saw there were a few just a few minutes after the last one I saw :p

kristin said...

oh ginger - sorry 'bout the layoff. :(

Well I *have to clean - my mom is coming over while I am at a job meeting tomorrow, won't get back here until around 9 or 10.

Tara. said...

Yeah, it's being whacky!

Why does it have to thunder at night when all of my Things are nestled in their beds sleeping? Seriously.

Tara. said...

Ginger, that sucks about the layoffs. :o(

Tara. said...

My husband is such a dork. Earlier he Googled "How to punch someone" and it was still in the search box when I sat down. I asked him about it, and he laughed. Then he told me he had never been shown the "correct" way to punch, and wanted to know so he could make sure the Things knew how to properly defend themselves someday.

I can't stop laughing at the "how to punch someone" in the Google search box.

Ginger said...

we found out 3 weeks ago we were closing, I have a meeting on friday to see if they have another state position for me or if I get to join the masses hitting the pavements. There is a spot open that I want but I am 2nd low SR so if the 3 above me want it they can sneak it away from me. I have been amazingly calm about compared to co-workers..not like I can change it so will just roll with whatever comes my way.

Ginger said...

lol Tara, that is better than what my former jarhead teaches our boys..try explaing to a small town PD that the BIG BANG did not come from our yard

bookjunkie said...

Checking in from work for a minute. Sorry to hear about the layoff, Ginger. That's awful! Nice to have some time off but a bad way to do it, huh?

LOL about the how to punch someone. I always picture the Google people sitting back laughing at the way some of my searches are worded.

Ginger said...

lol BookJunkie, have you ever typed something in the clicked the I'm feeling lucky during a google search? some fun stuff can come up

bookjunkie said...

I have done that before. I'd forgotten about it though. Need to use that again. I feel like I help keep Google in business sometimes because I search any and everything. I do medical transcription so I use it personally and then for work constantly.

Kristin, hope you're done cleaning. Did they ever find the proposal/package (I can't remember) you needed for tomorrow? I sure hope it turned up.

Back to work for a few more hours. See y'all in a little while or in the morning maybe.

kristin said...

alright ladies - that is as clean as the house is gonna get w/o a vacuum.

The house smells good - changed the scentsy :)

I'm going to bed.

Night!

AP - hope you feel better in the morning.

RF - hope you feel better too!

Taiya - hope you get some sleep.

Karen - I hope Patti didn't share with you and hope that she is feeling better.

RiM - I am sure you are enjoying some worship on Kelly's birthday - happy birthday to him!

Alright - night!

Lisa said...

Hey, all...just screwed my sleep up with a 3 hour nap that started at 9. Lovely.

Ginger, I'm sorry about your job.

Unless I missed something, we did a bit better this afternoon with a fresh post and no video, right? I noted a couple of comments about it but it seemed like it went better than it has been. If I'm wrong, someone let me know. I'm going to pass on the video again and set up another 3pm auto-post and we'll try it another day.

kristin said...

How are you feeling AP?

BJ - the package *kinda turned up - it was found in Dallas and needs to be in Midland by 11 tomorrow - I PDF'd a copy to a Midland place - we called 3 places and all their copiers were broken - LOVELY - but finally found one - then it wouldn't go through and right at 5:00 he said he got it. He said he would have it there at 10:00 - now that I think about it, I need to call and have them put it in an envelope with the proposal # on it.

Alright, goodnight!

Ginger said...

Thanks AP..those naps are a killer at times..since I do the nite thing when I have days off if I want to be 'normal' I can't sleep at all wehn i get off work at 6am til that nite or I end up being awake almost the whole nite and unable to do anything I want to do the next day.

Muliebrity said...

I'm going to bed now. I should have done that 2 hours ago.

Lisa said...

I'm so-so, Kristin but it'll pass. That or I'll die. :-D Thanks and I'm going to check your injury out in a sec. Glad that package got found and I'll miss you for the next couple of days!

Ginger, I guess the bright side, if there is one, is that your hours can return to more normal ones.

Ginger said...

lol AP there is a bright side to Layoff...my co-worker is a witch insert the B and is totally paranoid about EVERYTHING, she thinks the world is out to do her harm. She is also very negative..I have plans that will be put into place in 10 yrs when youngest is old enough to not need Mum 24/7 and she likes to tell me that all my goals will not be met and that I am stuck as a dead end state nurse..so yes bright side there is at going to a new place or even havign to hit the pavements..if I stay state I will still be nites since it works for my schedule right now. I will miss the other nurses here since none of us have the possbilty of going to the same place, but that is what lunches are for :)
