It is finally Friday WOOT!!!!

So as the talk on the last post has been about Real Housewives and such shows I just thought that this would be a good  time to see if I can master the embedding of the video :)

I hated Jill this season. Kelly is a nut job and I love Alex and Sonjia.

Lisa said...

Bahahaha! That video was one of the best things I've seen in awhile. I literally cackled when Luann burst into that song! Thanks, Shannon and see? I told you videos were easy!

Repost:
"Just think, AP, that may mean you have some room in your life for luv or companionship. I am sure there will be an upside."

Oh, Lord, Mulie, that's the last thing I have any interest in doing. I have room now, if I wanted that. I could possibly make an exception for Jeff Lewis, though. I'
m almost scared to admit this, but he reminds me uncomfortably of me, yet there's a comfort factor in that. <--another Flipping out fan here

I went for detesting Simon and Alex to really, really liking them a lot and I'm not sure why. Maybe because they just seem genuinely nice and it stood out this season? Jill was horrible. Luann makes me want to do mean things to her. That song? Oh, my God.

And good morning!

Shannon said...

LOL you did AP...it took me a minute but then I opened my eyes and saw the embed thingy :)

You know I had missed a lot of the first and second season....because I didnt have Bravo....and yesterday they had a lot of season 1 on. Jill was a totally different person back then....Luann was still a high and mighty bitch ignoring her kids so she could go out and do what she has to do...GAH I want to be a rich spoiled bitch LOL but then again I dont want to wear 99% of those clothes.

Shannon said...

Alex and Sonja are awesome. It was actually Bethenny and the stuff she went through with her dad this season that inspired me to call my dad. Watching season 1 it really is easy to see why it was all so hard for her to deal with.

Margo said...

That video is too funny - love the sachels of gold!

Robin in Montana said...

That was a very funny video. lol.

Shannon said...

LOOK IT'S AL SHARPTON!!!

Shannon said...

So I am assuming that everyone that has watched the show (I really tried to spell that backwards) agrees that Kelly is a fruit loop

Margo said...

Kelly lives in her own reality.

Robin in Montana said...

It is a skinny, long-legged, good-hair, horseback riding reality, though. lol.

Yes, she is a fruit loop!

Muliebrity said...

Kelly is a nut job. Seriously. I am dying a slow death w/o Bravo.

Robin in Montana said...

Mulie - I think something must go at your house so you can have Bravo back. How much do you really *need hot water, anyway?

Shannon said...

LOL yes she certainly does live in her own reality.

Oh Mulie I feel for ya....you know that they have a lot of their shows on their website as entire episodes? It isnt the best solution but maybe it will keep you alive :)

twirldawg said...

You might be able to catch it online.

Oh and Big Brother is returning in less than a month. I am in trashy tv heaven.

Margo said...

No doubt it's good to be her physically and financially - mentally, not so much.

Shannon said...

HAHAHA Jill I am excited because Bad Girls in Miami is going to start soon too......oh reality TV is of the devil of that I am certain

twirldawg said...

I don't know, being in the world of unicorns and cartwheels can't be all that bad.
Anyone want a jelly bean? lol

Robin in Montana said...

A new Big Brother? Count me in.

Did you read Omarosa (complete with the Donald's help) is launching a new show ala Bachelorette to find herself a man?

Shannon said...

LMAO....I will never be able to think of jelly beans the same way again. I just love how she acted like everyone was attacking her....I am pretty sure the second time she told me to 'zip it' I probably would have really attacked her and ruined her pretty little face.

Lisa said...

My favorite Kelly moment was on that trip Ramona took them on and her little freak out over the gift bag Bethenny left on her doorstep. If anyone ever doubted she has some issues, that scene pretty much proved them wrong.

Shannon said...

Robin I saw that....I am thinking that it is the only way she will ever find a man

Yes cold I know :)

Muliebrity said...

I think we are just going to cancel the cable for a few months. It really seems pointless to me w/o Bravo. I plan to watch online or just rent them from netflicks. Bravo is/was my go-to TV. I really miss it, but we really need to knock some debt out before I can justify getting it back.

Lisa said...

I'm curious - what's everyone pay for just a basic cable package in your area? One that includes Bravo, say, but not HBO or Showtime, stuff like that? I'm paying about $65 a month now, basically just so I can watch Bravo and Nancy Grace. I just hate that, yet hate losing cable news (not just Nancy) and Bravo. Well, and I'd miss Andrew Zimmern. Still, I'm curious what this costs in other areas.

Robin in Montana said...

I don't have cable, have Dish, and am on a current promotion, but I pay about $55/month and have Bravo, all that. Currently have HBO for 3 mos free, but will cancel that when it's up.

Shannon said...

I am not really sure how much it is for that....only because we have a package thing going on with internet but I am thinking it is around $65 here too.

twirldawg said...

We have the $99 Comcast bundle with cable, phone, and Internet.
We managed to get some special and have the HD and premium package.
I wish you could have a la carte cable and pay for just the channels you want. I don't need BET or Telemundo.

Margo said...

We have Verizon Fios - our phone, internet and cable (basic no movie channels) is $125 a month. Before Fios came to our area we used to pay approx $60 a month for basic cable.

Shannon said...

Jill I would love to be able to just pick and choose the channels I want. Like you I dont need a lot of the channels that come with the packages. Just make sure I get Discovery, Oxygen, Bravo, Fox, CBS, and such things and I could be a happy girl :) I dont know that my husband would be as happy though lol

Margo said...

It would be GREAT to pay for just the channels we watch. Danny gets so mad because I have only 10 channels programmed into my favorites. He doesn't understand why I don't like flipping through all 100+ channels.

twirldawg said...

Sometimes it seems like all we watch are PBS and HBO.

Lisa said...

So the cost is about the same for what I have...hmmm. I'd be willing to change but am concerned about anything involving a dish on the roof and I also don't want a contract. I wish we could pick our channels, too...seems like they could make more money if we could.

Ami said...

Good afternoon Daisies! Another Housewives fan here... rarely get to watch it, though. And, only NYC. I did watch the first season of NJ, but love the NYC crew. Like others, I grew to really like Alex and Simon this year.

Shannon - Way to go on the video! It's hilarious!

AP - We pay about $60 per month for DirecTV with the showtime package. I think that is about $12 out of the total. We tried to get the "Triple Play" through Verizon, but couldn't get the phone service in our area, so it is cheaper to just do each individually with different providers.

And, I agree, a la carte cable would be so much more convenient! There are about 10 channels that we actually watch. There are a couple of others that we would probably watch, but don't want to pay the extra for a whole package.

Shannon said...

Hey guys gonna be out for a bit....it is time for my daughters pre-op appt which means 2 damn weeks yikes. It is so funny because it isnt anything major going on but I am so nervous...probably because the last kid I had that had surgery it was an emergency situation...I have to remember that this is to improve her future not give her one :) So I will be back in like 2 hours probably

Margo said...

Hi Ami - I don't know that I've met you yet. I'm Margaret - I have a taste for luxury and luxury has a taste for me. I kid, I kid...

Ami said...

LOL! Hi, Margaret. Nice to meet you! Do you have fabulous parties, too? :)

Ami said...

Margaret - I just checked out your blog... We go to LBI also. Where is your family's place? My aunt and uncle are there year round in Beach Haven... I think the 4th house from the southern tip of the island. My sis-in-law has an aunt with a place across from Murphy's (near Uncle Will's). Also, you mentioned the song "Allentown" in that post... I live about 15 minutes from there. :)

Muliebrity said...

If I were to get Bravo, TV would cost me around $90 per month. We are with Direct TV and were supposed to have a promotion in the form of a rebate, but they didn't bother to tell up about an online rebate, because when we signed up we did it through AT&T did not yet have internet. They basically screwed us and we have a year to go on our contract. We are also unable to get cable TV.

Margo said...

No way - somebody else on this earth actually knows where LBI? Our house is in Beach Haven Crest. However, my grandparents had an ice cream shop on Centre Street - next to what is now The Gables B&B. My uncle still owns the property but rents it - I think it's a bagel shop now. How about Kaplers - I love that place! Can you believe I've never been to Wills but I do miss Jack's Bakery. They had the best crumb buns.

And no, my parties are mostly cupcakes - I'm not at all Sonja Morganish :)

Ami said...

LOL! I'm always a bit excited to find someone else who knows LBI, too. Beach Haven Crest - practically neighbors. :) How long ago did your grandparents have the ice cream shop? I remember going to one as a kid near there. Don't know Kaplers; maybe this summer I'll get to check it out. I remember Jack's Bakery, too! Yum. You have to go to Will's for breakfast. The BEST pancakes!

Margo said...

Kaplers is the old time 5 and 10/pharmacy on the corner of Centre Street and the Blvd. The ice cream store was there from the mid 1960s to mid 1970s and then my grandmother turned it into a fabric store.

Muliebrity said...

What is LBI? I am feeling left out. :(

Margo said...

Long Beach Island, NJ

Margo said...

This is the first year Hannah has had a male teacher - what's a good teacher present?

PJ said...

Gift card to the local coffee shop (if he drinks that).

Boring, but very appreciated.

Lisa said...

Checking in...hi! Got the front of my house all caulked up, finally...whew! Got the bazillion cracks and under the windowsills, too. I'm determined to not have water come in this place again during hurricanes. Last time, it literally drove the water in through the minute cracks between the blocks and flooded the inside. It looks like hell now but at least it's a hell that looks like repairs are happening, so I'm happy. Man, I hate shoving my fat ass up a ladder in plain public view on a busy street, although not just everyone has the guts to do it in polka-dotted pajama pants, so there is that.

And I know everyone is so damn excited now that you've read all that. ;-)

Shannon said...

So does anyone know about the post op medication Sinecch.....which is a prescription level Arnica Montana? This is another medication they are suggesting for Kala to help with bruising, swelling, and healing after her surgery. I am doing some research on it but wanted to see if anyone had any knowledge on it.

Shannon said...

LOL glad you and your fat polka dotted butt got the job done :)Better to do that all now then to have to deal with the clean up afterwords.

Lisa said...

I know nothing about the medications, Shannon, sorry.

And lord, yes. Nothing sucks harder than water pouring in and no power to run a Shop-Vac. Plus, it'll look prettier. I'm going to repaint it the same color...it's faded now and just looks run down so it's due for some freshening up!

Shannon said...

Let me just say you are braver then I am because I would never make it on the ladder far enough to make a difference :) If I had been on the street I would have stared out of awe that you were on the ladder then I would have noticed the pants

KaytieJ said...

Shannon - never heard of it.

AP - You go girl! Ladders scare the bejees out of me and so I admire your bravery getting up there and even for rockin' some polka dot jammies while caulking!

Lisa said...

Kaytie, I'm no fan of ladders and won't go very far up one. Actually, it's falling that I'm no fan of. Ladders are fine.

Shannon said...

LOL I cant even get both feet to the second rung of a ladder...I am useless when it comes to changing lightbulbs in the ceiling too....I must surround myself with tall people LOL

Ya know I am having a hell of a time finding anything about that stuff from a non biased site. It is supposed to be amazing and maybe since it is only $25 bucks I will see about getting it...everything that helps with healing cant hurt right?

Erin said...

Shannon- maybe see if you can find an online board/support group of people who have had the same surg. They may know about the meds, but also have useful suggestions.

Margo said...

Shannon - it looks homeopathic so all I'd say is does she have allergies? I can't use any homeopathic stuff or I blow up like a blowfish.

Shannon said...

Margaret she hasnt ever had allergic reactions to anything but we have never used any homeopathic stuff either...we are so not a crunchy household

Shannon said...

Erin good suggestion I am looking into those sites right now. I am sad a little at knowing that she probably wont be able to breastfeed after this but I dont know that she would have anyway but who knows it is still a possibility.

Shannon said...

How many pounds is 800 pounds

KaytieJ said...

NEWS FLASH:
What do you all think of the Lieberman Bill? It is designed to let the government shut down or block certain website and social networks and/or control the internet in a time of crisis?

Lisa said...

"How many pounds is 800 pounds"

Roughly 800, give or take.

PJ said...

AP,
That's like my question:

"What is the Adam's Family's last name"

PJ said...

AP - have you been farming today?

Lisa said...

"What do you all think of the Lieberman Bill?"

I hate it. I think it's ultimately useless for its desired purpose and will serve to do far more harm than good. What do yo uthink about it, Kaytie? Here's a good article if anyone is interested.

http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010/06/lieberman-bill-gives-feds-emergency-powers-to-secure-civilian-net/

Lisa said...

Lol, CK, yep. And yes some farming...why? Are you going to make fun of me? :-P

PJ said...

No, just wondering whatcha been up to, besides caulking.

Lisa said...

Ahhh, well, I bathed, too. I sorely needed to and now I smell really good! See?

*flaps arms around so you can smell my lemongrass shower gel and 4711 cologne*

How's your day been? Do anything exciting?

Muliebrity said...

Better to caulk in your pajama pants now then try and tarp your roof during a tropical storm/hurricane in your pajama pants like I had to do a few years ago. Good time.

Lisa said...

Excellent point, Mulie. Although that had to be exciting!

PJ said...

We celebrated my son's 25th birthday. I was 25 when he was born. Kind of a fun connection.

Great time was had by all. The four young adults, and then The Husband and me. I don't think we embarrassed them too badly.

PJ said...

Is there a Home Improving application on FB?

Lisa said...

Somehow, you just don't strike me as the kind of mom who would be embarrassing. And happy birthday to your son!

PJ said...

Thanks AP. I have embarrassed him on many occasions.

I did, however, bank some points back when I suggested I bring the dog when I picked him up at the high school (years ago). Huge chick magent.

Lisa said...

"Is there a Home Improving application on FB?"

Yes. It's called the "logout" button. ;-)

PJ said...

magent = magnet

Too many of my WW points were in the liquid form tonight.

Lisa said...

Huh. Jake used to get aggravated with me when I'd bring Beatrice. I guess a cat isn't as big of a chick magnet, though.

Lisa said...

Martinis?

PJ said...

Yes, AP. How *ever did you know?

PJ said...

Chick magnet - kitty, for sure. Cat, maybe?

Lisa said...

Same way I knew how many pounds 800 pounds is. :-D

PJ said...

I'm gonna go see how well I can knit after two martinis.

Have a good evening AP & Mulie.

Shannon said...

AP I must say fuck you at answering my wonderfully worded question about 800 lbs....smart ass lol it should have been 800 grams

KaytieJ said...

Shannon - I was wondering if you were speaking grams or kilos to lbs conversion :-D Was diverted from smartass response by handsome husband coming home from airport and wining and dining me and then watching "Mamma Mia" with me - love that movie...sigh.
Ooops, I digress...I did google the homeopathic med you were asking about. Looks like they are marketing it as a pain and bruising reliever after plastic surgery. Looks like you take it for 4 days. Ask the doc if he/she is experienced in prescibing this and what results they have seen (good and bad). Also, I am sure there are pre and post web sites/blogs/chats of former BR patients that may be able to give suggestions. Sorry I do not have specifics for you, but I do not work in plastic surgery. Just hoping all goes well for you daughter!

KaytieJ said...

Ap - thank you for responding to what I think is a serious breech of Freedom. I am 100% behind monitoring and stopping acts of cyberterrorism.

To give the govt carte blanche, though, to take control of the internet and social networks, no. It needs to be more specific and with due cause and warrants.

:::And to any lurkers or monitors that think I am not patriotic, up yours :-D :::

My husband was scheduled to be in the World Trade Center on 9/11. I thought he was there and I had lost him. He was stuck in the area for 3 weeks and was around when they were still pulling bodies out. We were there at the St. Pattys day parade in NYC post 9/11 and saw all the widows and children in their husband's/father's uniforms.

Lieberman's Bill is too far reaching and needs to be modified before put into place.

Lisa said...

CK, how'd the tipsy knitting go?

Shannon, well, at least we know you've never sold large amounts of drugs before if you couldn't figure that out. ;-) 1 pound is about 450 grams, so a bit under 2 pounds. Ummm...why?

Kaytie, my biggest concern (beyond the fact it won't really stop anything) is that once we start giving that giving of control to the government, it sets a precedent and the control will grow stronger and stronger. The very basis of what this country was founded on, founded to *be, dictates that that control never exist.

And good morning, all!

Shannon said...

LOL there is always that isnt there AP.....it has been confirmed Shannon is not a big time drug dealer :)

I was asking because that is the minimum that the doc has to remove in order for insurance to cover the surgery. That isnt too horrible then she will be glad to know that.

Shannon said...

As for Lieberman's Bill let me give a big fat resounding HELL NO to that one!!!! What is this supposed to be protecting us from exactly? The way I have read it you already have other charges against you this just makes it so you no longer have the rights under the Constitution as being an American Citizen. No No No NO!!!!

Maybe I am an ignorant twit who hasnt got a clue about anything but I am sick and tired of the Federal Government creating and inventing ways to slowly strip Americans of their rights through fear and threats. How long is it going to be that they get to come into your home and accuse you or terrorist acts because your best friend in college that you talked to on Face book last week is married to a guy who is friends with a gal who used to date a guy who is tied to terrorism and everyone just reconnected on FB this week as well...amazing coincidence that must mean you are plotting something.

KaytieJ said...

Morning Daisies!

My concern is that, Shannon. It reeks of McCarthyism.

Further more, many institutions now put out their warnings and instructions in case of emergency by internet. Having the government carte blanche shut down or control the internet would bungle up and defeat that process.

Shannon said...

It really does Kaytie. I see no good outweighing even close to the negatives that this is going to be causing. No good at all.

Well I am gonna be out most of the day....they boys want to go do a hotwing challenge...for some reason I see vomit in my future LOL

Lisa said...

Shannon, that's Lieberman's *other bill, I think. He's got a second one he's trying to get through that says if you're an American citizen and serve in the military of another country we aren't friends with, our government will decide you are assisting terrorists and may charge you with such. And if so, your citizenship rights will be stripped. Seems fair enough, I suppose, until you really think about that. Why should a citizen of our country be serving in the military of *any other country, friend or enemy? And who determines if they are friends or enemies? Oh, right...people like Joe Lieberman, who has numerous friends who are American citizens and who also served in the Israeli military as American citizens. Gee, think there's a connection there? *eyeroll*

KaytieJ said...

I missed this Lieberman Bill. Will have to go read up on it.

AP!! EVERY one!! One of Chris' neighbors helped me set up his wifi connection on my phone so I can finally load this site again!!

I haven't read any comments yet, but I have seen the "new sheriff in town" post and I'm all...holy schlitz. I totes heart Shannon, I mean who doesn't love a ballsy broad with a good vocab and a bitchin' sense of humor?? But AP wears the headmistress cap in my head and it's going to be hard to learn to see this as something other than "AP's place".

I have only really kept up with Mulie because she is on Twitter...but Margaret, my beloved homeslice KayJ, everyone else.......I hope you guys are around.

The lady in Kansas fixed our grocery cards! We got to use them yesterday and Lordy, we are eatin' good today.

We came to a decision about Chris. He knows we can't keep this up-physically, emotionally, or financially. We know and respect that he loves his apartment but he knows there is just no way to make it work. We are going to put a singlewide mobile home behind our little cottage house. We can afford the rent on it (only a third of his apartment rent, and his SSDI will cover all of his food and utilities and things) so we just have to come up with the down payment and we hope to do that by the middle of July. We feel a ton of relief about making a decision....and even tho he is sad, he is finally seeingnot just frayed at the edges but truly unraveling at the core.

We know this isn't a magic fixit, but we really feel like it's a step in the right direction of everyone being happier in the long run.

Man, we missed you guys.

Topic for discussion:
Chris and I have been bickering about Kim Kardashian's latest assinine statement.....she twittered that a woman breast feeding in the restaurant where she was, was "grossing her out".

Chris thinks women should go in the restroom to nurse. I am contemplating crippling his OTHER side because the idea that any human being should be forced to take their meals in a grody public bathroom is insane!

Also? Kim K is only famous because she let a d list "rapper" pee on her during sex.....while a camera was rolling. And an infant eating grosses HER out?? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle "you disgusting hypocrite"??

Full disclosure: now that the poo is hitting the fan over her tweet, she's saying breast feeding is "beautiful" and it was the fact that the woman changed the baby's diaper on the table that grossed her out. I agree with keeping all potty matters away from where people are dining. How ever, my issue is her original tweet, which started with "EWW I'm trying to eat and there's a woman breast feeding her baby in public".

I'm really interested in thoughts on this, and I am also interested in people telling my brother what a total ass he is for thinking women shouldn't nurse in public. Oh, *now he's saying "well, as long as they use a blanket or something". The heat index is over 100 right now. I would not EVEN give my baby heat stroke because Americans are so f'd up re. The Boobs.

KaytieJ said...

I now have white trash triple plum tree. Stuck a board under one of the limbs.

AP - You like weird food. Dh is bringing home Buffalo BBQ ribs. I feel like Wilma - since she is the brunette :-D

Elisabeth! Glad KC fixed the cards and that y'all are figuring out a more workable living arrangement. I know change is so hard, but after the shock of it all Chris will have that place dolled up and make it his own!

As for KK. Blech. Seems some people will do anything to get attention.

I chose not to BF in public or bathrooms or change diapers on restaurant tables. Took some planning. That is what a pump and bottles are for. If you are carrying around a diaper bag, it does not take that much effort to put a cold pack in and bottles. Sure there are extenuating circumstances, but if you have an infant you usually have some kind of blanket or drape or heck a restaurant napkin will suffice. No need to bare boob it, IMO.

Muliebrity said...

I breastfeed everywhere and by my third kid, I am pretty good at being discreet. I was actually at a family party today, where I was walking around feeding the baby and my male cousin came up to me and was admiring the baby (as I was feeding her) and after a few minutes of standing there talking to him, I said, "oh, I'm feeding her." He said, "Wow. I couldn't even tell, because if I could, my eye would have burned right out of my head."

Muliebrity said...

I try and wear tops like this:

http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=41578&vid=&pid=655390&scid=655390072

Lisa said...

Well, hi, Elisabeth. Where to start...first, I think that trailer is the greatest idea...it solves many problems in one, plus Chris will still have his own place. And as much as he hates leaving this one, it's got some rough memories attached to it now. A new start may be the best thing ever for him. :-) Glad the cards got sorted out, too.

As for this place? Nope, no longer "mine" and it was fine letting it go to Shannon. While I was and am attached to people here, I never had an attachment the the blog itself other than the same one many others do. :-)

"Chris thinks women should go in the restroom to nurse. I am contemplating crippling his OTHER side because the idea that any human being should be forced to take their meals in a grody public bathroom is insane!"

Well, I breastfed and even now can be fairly militant about it <--understatement) I'm pretty much on siding with Kim and Chris here. If you *must BF in public and it just can't be avoided, toss something light over you and the baby. Anytime it was feasible, I headed to the car or the little parlor area in department store restrooms. Otherwise, I carried a gauze-y big scarf thing in my purse and would toss over us. Regardless of how we, as mothers, find it so natural, in the end, it's still a bodily fluid and and an exposed breast. Just as I'd not squat and pee in a mall planter, I'm not going to bare a breast to breastfeed on a mall bench.

"How ever, my issue is her original tweet, which started with "EWW I'm trying to eat and there's a woman breast feeding her baby in public"

I'd leave, personally, if they weren't covered. And I'd be pissy about it, too. I don't want to see it while I'm eating, either...not a stranger doing it. Friends, relatives, no trouble. Hell, I even traded breastfeeding duties with one very close friend when we watched each others babies, something that freaks a lot of people out and didn't bother either of us in the least. But to watch a stranger do it uncovered? Sorry, nope. And in a restaurant? Double nope.

So, hug Chris for me and tell I'm with him completely. :-)

Lisa said...

Mulie, that's a great top for feeding! I wish they'd had those when I was. I usually wore button up blouses but these would have been so much nicer. They're cute, too!

PJ said...

Really cute shirt, Mulie! Like AP, they didn't have as convenient and cute things like that when my kids were little.

So, are we talking about BF in public? Or BF in public with the girls out for all to see?

Do people *really do that nowadays? Gaw....

Lisa said...

CK, I'm not much younger than you and Jake's not a lot younger than yours and some were doing it then. It's not unheard of for a woman to pop one out and put a baby on it, no. Some people make a huge deal about it, too. Both exposed? Can't say I've ever seen that, thankfully.

PJ said...

So only one girl...

I don't think I ever saw that when I was BF.

Even now - but it's not like I'm looking for it. I'll have to ask The Husband.

Muliebrity said...

I also think it depends on hold old the baby is. Sometimes an older baby can screw you over by detaching at the most inopportune times. I personally just try and act like I don't care and for the most part, it puts whoever is around at ease. I *personally feel like it's the other person's problem more than it is mine. I try and keep it low key.

Lisa said...

"I *personally feel like it's the other person's problem more than it is mine."

Ahhh, and this is where we part ways. Sorry, Mulie.

Muliebrity said...

As long as I'm not flashing boob, AP, I am doing all I can do! There is always someone who is going to have a problem with it, even if I am hovering over a public bathroom toilet. Plus my husband runs interference, by blocking the view while I am trying to get baby to latch. But when I am out by myself with 3 kids, including a hungry baby, I do what I gotta do. I always pray that someone would try and help rather than make me feel like I doing something wrong.

PJ said...

I just used a lightweight receiving blanket. Don't remember even thinking it was an option to not cover up.

Muliebrity said...

The yeasty muffin skit is on SNL!

PJ said...

Watching it, Mulie. Dusty muffin, here we come.

Lisa said...

Well, again, we're just going to have to agree to disagree, Mulie, I'm sorry. I don't care how many kids a person has, if they can't handle them all and be tactful and tasteful about what needs to be done with them, don't go out with them all. I admit, I'm a huge, huge believer of being as non-offensive and non-controversial in public as possible. If a baby is hungry, take everyone to the car or, at the very least, to the baby department, to breastfeed the little one, imo. Like it or not, breasts are sexual organs and no matter how much we try to claim they are food dispensers when a baby is involved, they will never be only that. And I just don't ever want to see anyone's sexual organs exposed in public for any reason. Sorry. Again.

I feel like it's more obvious to cover up sometimes. I was covered the other day and this old man was staring, like he was waiting to see if he was going to catch a nip-slip.

And he may have been...ick. But I can guarantee you more people look when you aren't fully covered. They are just less obvious about it.

Can we talk about kids throwing fits or crying in stores next? Oh, please?

Oooh! I have a good one for that!
Will post it later though as it late and I am busy supervising a Last Day of School sleepover that may last all summer!

Good morning, Daisies!

Shannon, was there a buffalo wing puke fest last night?

Kaytie, how's the sleepover going?

Boy, things sure got quiet here again after that one big outbreak of talking and visitors. :-/

Hey all just getting caught up.....Let u s just say that while Josh did NOT finish the challenge our friend SupaNiga did. For the next post I may post some of the video I took from them eating...it is about 11 minutes.

Josh got all but 2 of the wings down, there were 10 and they were some big ass wings!!! He was so upset because it wasnt even the burning or the feeling in his gut it was his gag reflex.

Neither of the boys had much puke last night which mostly means that right not the suffering is coming from the other end :)

Let me tell ya these wings are Man V Food worthy. He does a very very CHUNKY sauce with Jalapenos, Habaneros, and Ghost Peppers. SupaNiga was pretty much leaking from everything....he left a puddle of sweat, snot, and tears LOL

And it did get quiet AP all the lurkers came out to visit and then ran away....oh well what ya gonna do :) oh yeah talk without em :)

Elisabeth I am glad that you will be able to be closer to your home soon while helping your brother out. Chris I am glad that you are able to see that for the long run keeping both places is just not feasible....very hard choice to make but very loving and mature.
