Alejandro and Chris' "friend in Kansas"...

First, the video.  No reason, I guess, except that I think it would be great fun if the Daisies could recreate it.  I'm not sure who should be Gaga though, since I know I'm not about to do it.

Now, I figured I'd put this on the forefront, just in case the lovely person in Kansas who sent Chris the HEB cards and Wii reads here.  Please look at the end of the last post, as there's a big problem with the gift cards that only you can help with...please contact Elisabeth.

That's about it.

::pulling out lawn chair and setting down cooler of Schlitz::

Hi!

Sandy said...

Blogger is being a poohead just so you know.

Sandy said...

Okay I have posted two comments here and Mr. Blogger has eaten them or they are being secretly stashed in Mr. Blogger's cache from hell where all lost posts go.

Sandy said...

Why are you a pain in the ass Mr. Blogger?

KaytieJ said...

Dang - I missed the cooler of Schlitz!

Ah well, pulling up a lawn chair anyway. My geeky wonderful boys are busy. Hmmmph! :-D

I love making country fried steak. They sell this pre-sliced roast at Winco which makes it so easy. And a little hint when making the breading for stuff like CFS and fried chicken and such things....do the double dip but say you have 2 cups of flour....add like a 1/2-1 cup of corn starch. I dont know what it is but it makes it stick better and makes it crispier.

Of course the deep fryer helps out a lot too with cooking things nicely.

Sandy said...

Oh Kaytie, just help yourself to the cooler of Schlitz if I'm not here.

Muliebrity said...

No AP rant yet?

PJ said...

Howdy Sandy!

I got more yarn to knit dishcloths, but can't for the life of me remember how to cast on.

Off to look on-line.

KaytieJ said...

:::popping Schlitz::: TY Sandy! Cheers!

OK. It has been way too prissy nice around here lately. Designated day off after work stretch. I watched the news. Major mistake.

W.T.F. were those parents thinking of letting their 16 year old sail around the world alone?

And before allowing their underage child out on a journey alone into the oceans of the world, did they even stop to think of the lives of the rescuers and their families? Not to mention the amount of money the search and rescue teams cost to taxpayers of various nations?

I do hope they find her, alive.

Sandy said...

I was just reading that Kaytie, WTH were the parents thinking. ::shaking head and popping a Schlitz::

PJ said...

KaytieJ,
Attention whores, maybe?

Seems like everyone wants to be a *celebrity nowadays.

KaytieJ said...

Oh! And if this is just a scam created by sailor or family for publicity or more views...f*** them.

Told ya, I was snarky :-D

Sandy said...

Kaytie honey, adjust your tube top! I hear your about the too prissy nice.

PJ said...

I mean, I think we all want to feel special, but look to your family and friends for that.

People used to want to be like the rich and famous. And they (we) got over it, realized that we couldn't be, and moved on to have a real life.

People still want to be that, and now with blogs and reality TV, they actually try to be.

Sandy said...

::getting out float to put in pool to travel around all 22 feet of it::

Sandy said...

Think that will make me famous?

PJ said...

Damn, I stopped to write, and once again forgot how to cast on. Flippin' short term memory is shot.

Back to look....

I can't knit and type at the same time. Someone needs to make an app for that.

KaytieJ said...

LOL! Sandy and CK! :::adjusting tube top and doing a belly flop into Sandy's pool:::

Sandy said...

Kaytie, I definitely give that a 9.5 on the flop-o-meter. LOL

KaytieJ said...

Note to self to remind CK of CKrani CKnitting appt.

Oh geeze, just scared myself. Crani and knitting needles conjure up lobotomies.

PJ said...

KaytieJ - what are you babbling about there?

Sandy said...

I watched a documentary recently about lobotomies. Very interesting but sad at the same time.

KaytieJ said...

:::preening::: I am usually such a Klutz I can't even do a belly flop :-D

CK - Yes. Everyone (or normally, everyone, wants to feel special) and I do think that is normal and right.

There is even a good argument in sending your young off (culturally and prepared) into the wild for a couple of days to gain their talisman or off on a solo hunt to gain their entry into adulthood. Or even in some cultures to send their 7 years old off to boarding school.

Sending your 16 year old off into the ocean for a solo round the world venture is completely different in my view.

Sandy said...

Is this the same girl whose country or whatever banned her from doing this? I think I read that somewhere.

KaytieJ said...

Ooops sorry ck. You asked to set up an appt re: short term memory loss (my mind thinks neuro-crani-CKrani) and knitting while typing (my mind thinks neuro-motor skills).

Hence: Neuro appt to check Knitting skills. Sorry.

PJ said...

KaytieJ - ahhhh, I see.

Nope, I was referring to an iPhone App(lication).

KaytieJ said...

Sandy - I did not hear that. I'll look into it, though. For some reason, this one just hit a nerve.

KaytieJ said...

CK! I am howling! I read APP as appointment! LOL! I am sure there is an app for that, if not, there will be one soon!

Sandy said...

If I remember right, the "country" claimed custody of the girl because they thought the trip to be too much for the girl. The parents had to "promise" or something that she would not be allowed to make the trip. They secretly launched her anyway. I think this is the same girl.

twirldawg said...

CK if you had a program on your computer like Dragon Naturally Speaking your could talk into a headset and it will translate to text. Then you can knit and "chat"

Oh, and try knittinghelp.com for cast on tips.

Sandy said...

I *tried teaching myself to knit...that went wrong really fast. LOL

twirldawg said...

knitting is one of the very few things I'm good at.

PJ said...

Jill - that's a great idea!

I'm going to check out that website... Fast - my first "non-practice" dishcloth is not turning out so well.

PJ said...

Harry Connick Jr is on David Letterman tonight.

Lisa said...

Mulie, I'm here. I think I tamed my tongue without it ever leaving my own head and passing into my fingers. *stops and rereads that* I sounded like Kaytie.

KaytieJ said...

eh hem...I choose to take that as a compliment :-D

KaytieJ said...

Harry CKoniCK Jr! OH! dang! I have hours to go! Enjoy, CK!

Lisa said...

Well, it wasn't exactly an insult, so close enough. ;-)

PJ said...
