Let's talk about people!

So, the trial is over, Casey is in talks with Hustler...let's do something more fun now.  Let's talk about people in the blog-world, shall we? Or ourselves...whatever works.

I'll start...did anyone see Wendy's post *that she has since deleted) awhile back, asking for financial donations? It seems N's dad is going to try to get full custody of him and she was looking for money to fight that. Frankly, I found myself cheering N's dad on. Did y'all see that and what did you think?

Also, Tina's decided to let BWOP go, at least to a great degree. Thoughts on that? Thoughts on MWOP and/or the forums?

Lastly, an update on our friend Andres, from Peru. You know, we Kiva-ed him. Well, he's paid back 14% of his loan, see? http://www.kiva.org/lend/297078 When I see our money back, I'll post it here and the 3 people who still read here, lol, can decide on another person to help via Kiva. Sound good?

twirldawg said...

I haven't read a blog post from anyone in ages. I have no udea what is going on.

Batman said...

Who is Wendy? Sounds like some good drama!

I hope Tina comes back after things calm down for her. I like having a place to snark about the "ladies" from MWOP. Though, I suppose we can just do it here! ;)

Lisa said...

Jill, a lot of people have stopped blogging, it seems...at least of the ones we used to know. How are you doing? How's R and his bucket? ;-)

Batman (hi!), Wendy's blog is brokenwon.blogspot.com and she's a nutjob. A lot of us knew her from OHIH and even before, but she caused a lot of drama and hurt feelings. And sure, you can fill in here if BWOP doesn't work, at least until Tina's back. No one cares who you talk about around this place. Lol, by the same token, not many people read here now, either.

Lisa - seems your neighbor moved North - lol

Hey...

I like bwop, one can actually have an adult conversation there most of the time. The talk doesn't often dissolve into the nitpicking that mwop goes into or the "you're jealous" ranting that some toss out when you disagree.

Anyone following pwsux? Love that blog, the snark there is wonderful and on point.

On the mwop front, I'm still LoL over the she dresses horrible of a few weeks ago to I can't believe she dresses so nice. She bought new clothes! They are desperate for anything to talk about when it comes to JM, lol.

Lisa said...

Good God, Margo, that guy followed our Diaper Man's actions to a T, didn't he? I see Sean got a mention in that article, too. "In a similar incident last year, 40-year-old Florida resident Sean Kelly pleaded guilty after being caught faking a mental disability that left him with the maturity of a 5-year-old." I am, right this second, looking out my office window and watching Sean do lawn work and I'm tickled all over again. Freaks.

AW, hi there! I like PWSux, she's funny and it helps that Ree annoys the ever-loving shit out of me. Binko's guest posts on PWS cracked me up to no end; I think I like her even better than PWS.

I get the oddness of JM's new clothes because it's so inconsistent and makes no sense to do it for Africa and not for home/work. At the same time, jeeeez, mention it and let it go.

zookeeper said...

oh Lisa - add me and make that four people who read here. So sad to see that Daisy faded away - absolutely some of the best snark on the internet in its heyday. Oh, and btw Lisa, even though you wouldn't recognize me from Adam, we "met" way back on OHIH. Just wanted to add that although i don't always see eye-to-eye with you, that you are one of the most straight shooting, honest people on our interwebs.

Margo said...

You should print the article for Sean so he knows he has a copy cat :)

Paige said...

Hey hope I can come and play. I am sad to see Lauren away, I really enjoyed it there. I have been around for awhile, I was banned from the forum and left the blog during one of the little tantrums the mods threw. I look forward to the talk starting up around here.

Lisa said...

Hi, Paige and welcome! Maybe we can get this place chatty again. I promise to not kill it this time, y'all. :-P

Zookeeper, I absolutely remember you by this name, but did you use another on OHIH? Either way, I'm glad you're still around! And thanks for such a nice compliment - that means a lot.

Margo, I could stick it in his door, no? Or alternately, I could add insult to injury by attaching it with a diaper pen.

Lisa said...

*pin.

KaytieJ said...

Thanks for sharing the good news on Andres, Lisa.

Nice to see people chatting on here again.

Deb said...

Can you imagine if Casey actually takes Hustler up on that offer? Yowsa!

Hey Jill! I haven't read a blog in ages either, nor have I posted anything. I've kept my nose out of the BWOP, MWOP, Mck stuff since I really could care less anymore. I quit working in March and just do not have the time anymore!

How is your new place?

Deb said...

Oh, Lord, Diaper Man is semi-famous.

Shannon said...

HMMMM hopping over here it is....LOL

I am sad that Tina lost a loved one that is tough and even though she and I have had our differences I sure dont wish that stuff on anybody.

It is nice to see some of the faces I like seeing from BWOP :)

Must say that between the Forum and the Blog I certainly do enjoy the Forum a lot more...still has nit picking but nothing like it is on the blog at all. It has just gotten so old. I mean years now it has been shown over and over that JM is pretty whack on the morals and finances. We all know that she is a mess in her appearance....well I dont call it a mess because dammit I look like her an awful lot and I call it comfort LOL. But when it comes to bitching and verbally ripping her apart about EVERYTHING it just gets stupid.

twirldawg said...

Lisa R is doing well, he's protesting clothes right now. I don't blame him, it's hot out here.

Deb, we are moved but not settled. We downsized to save money and good Lord we had a lot of stuff!

Shannon said...

Jill if I was his size I would be protesting clothes as well...there should be laws that if it is hot and sticky out you are allowed to be naked if you feel like it LOL

Lisa said...

I still snicker over Shannon and Tina becoming buddies. Well, and it still scares me a little. Next thing we know, they're going to be visiting one another. ;-)

Jill, I didn't know you'd moved. Are you still in the same area? I think about y'all often when I think about how hard this economy has hit the trucking industry. It's so awful. And let R. be naked while it's still somewhat socially acceptable!

Deb, I should go get Sean's autograph, no?

Something struck me on MWOP yesterday...does every single freaking person who posts there give to charity? Really? Somehow, I just find that sort of hard to believe...

Paige said...

Lisa I wondered the same thing. I don't believe for one second that all those people have actually donated to the charities. Perhaps they like what they stand for, but I have a hard time buying into the actual donation part.

Quick question, the Wendy you speak of earlier in the post? Is that the woman who lost a child and went on some talk show with her other kid? I might be way off here, but I know somewhere in this smallish circle of blogs I heard something about that.

Deb said...

Jill, settling will come in time. I cannot imagine if I had to pack up my house now, ugh.

Paige - yes, that is *the woman. She was on Dr. Phil.

Shannon said...

PISH Lisa!!!! You are just jealous LOL

Lisa said...

Pish, my ass...and jealous of what?

Paige, have you seen the Dr. Phil footage? It's pathetic. And I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing the whole charity thing. I mean, I'm just a normal, average person in most ways and most people I know, while they'd love to help, can't. Oh, they drop some dollars in the Salvation Army thing at Christmas, but that's about it. I just find it amazing that so many, in one small space, are such charitable people. <--is cynical

Shannon said...

Lisa you know what jealous....you know that jealous thing that people keep tossing about all the time.....

I guess nevermind....I dont really know what that jealous is

Lisa said...

Rofl, okay, Shannon.

So, did anyone read over on BWOP where someone accused Not_shelmo of being The Burger Queen? Remember that blog? It was funny stuff...anyone know anything about all this?

And for the love of God, does anyone know the *actual story about Krista? Who she really was/is, what her deal really was, etc? I'm the only one with access to the sitemeter here and I never check it...even if I did, I give my word I won't out your location if you want to make up a name and tell. I'd just love to know, even after all this time.

Paige said...

Lisa just wanted to say a quick thanks for sticking up for my kid at BWOP.
I loved that blog, and if shelmo actually wrote it then I give her major props, it was funnier than hell. However bringing my kid into her rants is just not cool.

Tara said...

I would also love to know the whole Krista story. I was at OHIH from the beginning too. I just can't believe someone so involved in the blog world as she was just dropped off the face of the earth & was never heard from again. I can't go 1/2 a day without sticking my nose in somebody's blog lol.

Lisa said...

Tara, whichever one you are (lol), hi!! And I agree about Krista, which is why I know there's a lot that someone knows...

Paige, you're most welcome. That was so terribly out of line, what she said, that I had to say something. It's just shitty to drag kids into it, but especially when a teacher does. :-(

Tara said...

Lisa - Tara here, not the one from Yemen or something like that! About Krista - I'm not so much curious about who she was as I am about what happened to her. Is she still posting among us? Is she even alive? I also would love someone to sit down and write a detailed memoire of the entire OHIH blog - man, there's some good drama there!

Lisa said...

Tara, I know which one you are now. :-) And I'm curious about it all with Krista. Usually, people get found out, you know? She's one of the few who never did and that makes her sort of like our own D. B. Cooper.

Shannon said...

I totally agree with the Krista saga. I mean really we know for a fact that at least a handful of people knew about her but even they have never spoken out. And we all know that she is around here somewhere :)

Margo said...

I wonder what happened to Liz - certainly she's still on the net trying to make a buck - lol

Going back to mwop and charities - I think a lot of those women have been through struggles and probably do "pay it forward".

Shannon said...

OOOOHHHH yeah Margo you know she is still out and about in the internets scamming more money from people.

Sandy said...

Schlitz anyone?

Shannon said...

It is hot enough for a Schlitz

Margo said...

Since it's Shark Week how about a Fosters?

Shannon said...

OOOOOOO Foster's Australian for Beer

twirldawg said...

I'll take a rum and coke.

Other than what other Tara told us, I know nothing of Krista and what has become of her.

Lisa, things have been tight around here. We are trying to cut back and do what we can. I need to find something part-time, preferably a legit at home gig, to make up for the money that my mil owes us. She defaulted on a $30,000 loan.

Sandy said...

Do pork rinds go with Foster's?

Sandy said...

One rum and coke for Jill.

twirldawg said...

Thanks Sandy. I've got my tube top and plastic chair.

Shannon said...

Pork rinds go good with any kind of beer. I dont have the tube top going however I do have the short shorts on so there is ample flab showing :)

Lisa said...

I thought I smelled Schlitz and old, familiar faces! Well, not that I smelled y'all's faces, but you know. I'm going to share my rum and coke with Jill, though, while we figure out how to cause a buttload of pain to her MIL. *nods*

Margo, you could be right about the women on MWOP and their charity-ish-ness, but it's certainly unusual to have that many, I think.

We just watched Catfish and the whole time, I thought about the lot of us and people we've run into on these blogs. It's really a good movie to watch, the way it'll hit home a bit. Speaking of Liz, for example...and Krista...and God knows who else.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catfish_%28film%29

Lisa said...

Oh, and no tube top here, *ever, but I'm wearing knit shorts that crawl up my inside thighs when I walk. That's good enough, right?

Batman said...

I'm not buying it either, I bet half those woman don't even put change in the salvation army kettles, let alone donate to charities.

Lisa said...

Hi. Ever run across someone online that just irks the very living *shit out of you? Not_shelmo is my new Tiny Candi. That is all.

Actually, that's not all. I was just thinking, since so many of us are still curious about Krista, there is a way someone could fill us in on the truth and remain totally anonymous, even to me. Email me...use a proxy email server to remain totally anonymous or just have a friend you trust from another area email it for you. I might be able to get their IP from the email, but I think we all know now nothing can really be done with IPs. I'll cut and paste the info here. If anyone wants to do so (please!), my email is anemonepie at yahoo. Now, let's see if someone'll help us out here. :-)

Margo said...

I heard from a reliable source that Krista was not a down on her luck hotel dweller but rather a Schlitz/Cheetos addict that needed the $ to feed her Hobby Lobby habit. But that was before my time so what do I know...

Lisa said...

Well, shit, that means Krista could have been one of many around these parts...

twirldawg said...

Hey, saw this on Google + and thought I would pass it on:
"kiva.org is giving away a limited number of "free" loans for new investors. You sign up, and pick the person you want to loan money to, and kiva foots the $25 loan. If you haven't signed up yet, do it quick -- there's less than 4000 "free" loans left. (It's not really free, per se, but it requires no payment from you.)

Site is a little slow due to all the people coming in for this, so be patient, but please, click. Give. A little (or nothing!) goes a long, long way.

Kiva - Loans that change lives
Make a loan to an entrepreneur across the globe for as little as $25. Kiva is the world's first online lending platform connecting online lenders to entrepreneurs across the globe."

Lisa said...

Jill, that's wonderful! Thanks *so much for posting it and I'm headed there now to see if I can do it in both Jake's and my dad's names. I'll give my mom the info, too, if it's still going on. I love Kiva, what they do is a grea thing. :-)

Lisa said...

In case anyone is reading this tonight, it's working...not slow at all!

Lisa said...

Is anyone still keeping up with Casey? Didja hear she's been ordered back to Orlando by Thursday morning to begin serving a years probation?

Shannon said...

I got an update about that today....didnt read it all though OOOOPS. I guess so much for getting her outta dodge huh?

Lisa said...

Yup! I'm sure she can apply to have her monitoring in another state when she get in, many do, but it'll be public record which state it is. Her attorneys are appealing the order, but I've got a feeling they aren't going to win this one.

Shannon said...

Nope I think that they are fighting a truly losing battle on this issue. The judge got to have his say before the murder trial....I think his ruling will be upheld without a doubt.

And it will be public record no matter where she is so really is she any better off somewhere else? Except now she has to find a place to stay in Orlando for the next year.

Lisa said...

Oh, she can leave Orlando but she has to get permission to leave. Thanks to Florida's Sunshine Law, we'll get to know where she leaves to. :-)

Erin said...

I think they want to get the court stuff on Casey rolling right away. Especially the financial side. If she is ordered to pay back all the money she will owe, Hustler payout will not go far.

" Not_shelmo is my new Tiny Candi".
Soda out your nose *hurts, I will have you know.

Krista just seemed to vocal to drop off the earth all together, you know?

I saw that Wendy post.
Also saw her tirade about N's doctor. *That was shameful.

Jill- I am SO sorry about your MIL. Mine did the same thing.

Lisa said...

Erin and all, did you see TMZ found Casey?
http://tinyurl.com/3z7nfmt

Agreed about Krista being too vocal to have disappeared completely. But who...?

Wendy is pathetic as hell. Mean, too. You don't do what she did there, *ever, and I suspect that little tirade has played a part in N's dad trying to get custody. That boy sorely needs a sane, non-self-centered parent to raise him or he doesn't stand a chance in life and that's a damn shame. He's so obviously a bright and funny boy.

twirldawg said...

Wait, what did Wendy do?

Erin said...

Jill- She first put up a scathing post *naming N's therapist and spewing shit about him. I think he actually had the nerve to either report her, or suggest he was not in a healthy environment.
Then, when faced with going to court to fight for his custody, she was asking people to help pay for it.
Add any details I forgot please!

Erin said...

And about krista, didn't some people talk to her on the *phone?

Lisa said...

'Morning! Adding on, Wendy actually posted their entire email exchanges, along with his full name, address, etc. The therapist, that is. He let her know he felt there was a need to contact CPS about the situation with N and she didn't like that one bit. That's what prompted her to post the correspondence and his info. Imo, someone smells her meal ticket possibly slipping away...I think her goal was to get him on disability like she is and this therapist (along with N's dad, is objecting). That's the impression I got, anyway.

Lisa said...

Erin, yes, I do think people talked to her on the phone...I'd forgotten about that.

Shannon said...

"I heard from a reliable source that Krista was not a down on her luck hotel dweller but rather a Schlitz/Cheetos addict that needed the $ to feed her Hobby Lobby habit. But that was before my time so what do I know..."

Well now I know that I am off the list to be Krista LOL....dont drink beer (maybe 2 a year), love Cheetos but they hate me with a passion so dont partake, and THIS is my hobby...

Margo said...

If Casey wants to disappear she needs radical plastic surgery - maybe Jose would be willing to pay for it :)

Margo said...

I'm sorry to hear about you not being able to eat Cheetos - that seems awfully unfair - lol.

Shannon said...

LOL it is Margo...very very unfair. My mouth loves them like no other...my stomach always wants to get them out as fast as possible..it is very cruel.

And I dont know if Jose is willing to pay for her to have her head removed (best plastic surgery for her type) :)

Margo said...

I meant a face job but cutting off her head would not make me sad in the least :)

Sandy said...

::wiping orange Cheetos fingers on tube top and downing the last of the Schlitz::

Maybe I can make Casey some sort of disguise from the fabric I just bought at Hobby Lobby. I can embroider, "I'm not Casey" on it. Thoughts?

Deb said...

Sounds like she will be starring in some frat parties come September, since she is hiding behind her O State hat.

Deb said...

Casey, that is.

Lisa said...

Damn, I thought you meant Sandy. ;-)

Sandy, or maybe "Bella Vita" in a circle with a line through it?

Sandy said...

My frat party days are long over. LOL

Shannon said...

I wanna see you crash a frat party Sandy :) hahahaha (sorry just got an image in my mind of you in that little blue dress she was wearing for that hot body contest...made me fiffle)

Sandy said...

It would not be a pretty picture let me tell you.

Shannon said...

That is why it made me laugh Sandy. I mean seriously that girl does have a pretty smokin body but then again she was what? 22 when that pic was taken?? Yeah those of us with 39+ bodies would not be the same at all. Because I pictured you in that dress with my body :)

Margo said...

Sandy, I'd like a dress like Casey's with "body by Cheetos" embroidered on it. That would be HOT!

Won't Casey have to return to Florida for the civil trial with the woman she said took Caylee?

Sandy said...

Margo, this is what I will embroider on it:

body by Cheetos
mind by Schiltz

Color preference?

Lisa said...

All I know is, I wish Casey weren't so tainted, 'cause those pictures of her on TMZ? She's...um, pretty damn hot *now. Much, much better with the extra weight, imo. And I feel really icky over having just said that about someone who could be my daughter, but there it is. :-P

Lisa said...

Y'all, I was thinking about Sue from Tokyo today. Did anyone keep in touch with her? And what about the other Tara? Anyone hear from her?

Shannon said...

I havent heard from/about Sue in a very long time unless she has been sneaky :)

The last time I *saw Tara was on here and she pretty much had her shit ripped to shreds by some from another blog site so I dont even know if she is around anymore.

Lisa said...

Oh, I think I remember that happening to Tara. Huh.

Well, we're dead again here. I think I told someone 4 days and we made it over a week, sort of, before dying off again. Is anyone hanging out anyplace fun that I don't know of? And I guess we could also, a la MWOP, set up a sooper seekrit FB thing. Or not.

Sandy said...

Sorry Lisa. I got busy making Margo's Casey dress.

Lisa said...

Sandy, we'll need pictures of that. ;-)

Sandy said...

I think Margo should send pictures of her wearing it.

Paige said...

Wait there is a secret FB page now for MWOP? I read about it on Lauren's site but don't know if I believe it. And what is up with that crazy girl McKenna?

Sandy said...

Paige, apparently there is a page. But who can you really believe.

Lisa said...

Paige, I don't know what's true or not but I know it's a fun read. :-D

Lisa said...

Oopsie, explosion
I have a mirror
Romper, bomper, stomper boo
I see Wop people
No ethnic slur meant

How was that for a Haiku? :-D
Seriously, hi to those lurking!

zookeeper said...

*peeks around corner* can I come back out to play?

Lisa said...

Always, zookeeper. :-)

I'm going to bed, though. See y'all tomorrow!

zookeeper said...

ha! different time zone! I'll come back tomorrow

zookeeper said...

well, I stopped by here last night looking for a place to jump in. I am (almost) speechless at what is flying around in certain WOP circles. Can't we all just have a little fun and camaraderie here on the internet? does it always have to be about "outing" people and "team this" or "team that"?
The early days of OHIH were so much fun......I have not been around since the SIP group and kind of slid away quietly after it got crazy with a certain person wielding a banning stick. Would love to get back to the kind of fun of days gone by.....

Sandy said...

Um...there is a whole lot of crazy going on in the internets today. lol

Lisa said...

Every time I step away for awhile, it gets even wilder! Anything big happened in the last 6 hours or so? Zookeeper, I agree, I miss OHIH, still.

Deb said...

Lisa - somewhere in the depths of my computer, I *think I have many, many pages of OHIH in a word document. It would be wild to go back and look at some of those! I'll have to check it, it's probably on my external hard drive.

I think Cheeto Orange would be an appropriate color for the dress, btw :)

Sandy said...

Nothing much other than all the conspiracy theories about secret forums, blogs, underground secret passages etc. I think there may have been talk about Secret Squirrel, Agent 99.

Too much drama for this old mama (fun to read though).

Margo said...

I'd like my dress in Cheetos orange terry cloth with gansta letters!

Lisa said...

Someone needs to make Margo a grill to go with that dress.

And I can't keep up with all this secret shit, but at the same time, I'm slightly hurt no one has invited me to any of them. ;-)

Margo said...

A grill would be a nice touch!

Sandy said...

That would be awesome.

Margo said...

Sandy - did you see TLC is going to have a new show on dumpster divers?

Sandy said...

No but that is my newest hobby. I'll be sure to watch it.

Lisa said...

Seriously, dumpster diving? I've always wanted to but it's illegal here and I'm afraid of jail now.

Sandy said...

It's more like garbage pickin'. I scored some really nice shutters that I'm using for some crafts.

B thinks it's the best thing and asked every Thurs night if we can go.

Lisa said...

Sandy, I used to love garbage days...people would put the best stuff out. I've found shelves, tables, all sorts of stuff. s long as I could scrub it down good, it didn't bother me a bit and I bet those shutters are cool. I saw a coffee table made with old once, once, and it was beautiful!

Lisa said...

Deb, I wonder of we could get those transferred over to a blog somehow, so we could all go read?

Shannon said...

Good lord ladies...I tell ya what I have been killing monsters all day and I try to stay caught up on the interweb dramas and feel like I am missing stuff LOL

I honestly dont know how people that do have secret identities on top of secret identities keep it all straight. I have one identity that I use everywhere I go and sometimes that is just too much for me LOL

twirldawg said...

I can't keep up with it all either Shannon.

I had most all of the comments saved in my Gmail archives at one point from OHIH. I think I deleted them at some point though.

Margo said...

I'll out myself and my secret identity - I'm the mod of tubetopwop.

zookeeper said...

I am beginning to think that the biggest fear from some of these women on the "WOP" sites is NOT if they get outed - but if people discover how really boring, unimportant women they really are. There is a lot of puffing up the feathers and grandstanding, the need for secrecy, invite only-style middle school behaviors that I am very glad to have left behind over thirty years ago. The reason I am jumping back in to Daisy is that I really miss the laughs we had on OHIH - even sporadic posters had fun as long as it stayed respectful. But it seems to happen time and time again among internet groups that friendships develop and then along comes something or someone to upset the apple cart. I sort of expect it now, disappointing as that is. What I simply cannot grasp is how cruel and vicious some of these women are. It's like adolescent bullying by grown up women. Sad. Here, I made blueberry coffee cake. Slice anyone?

Lisa said...

I'll take some, Zoo, and thanks! I'll be honest, I don't mind some drama and ugliness, as long as it doesn't totally mess up good friendships. Drama and ugliness happens even in families who love one another...it's human nature and shows a degree of honesty and openness of emotion, if that makes sense? And I just love watching it happen to people I don't really give a damn about. But I do miss OHIH, too...for whatever it's worth, this place is going to always be open, even if it's dead. I figure it'll at least be a place where, if we all pop in from time to time, we can stay in some sort of touch, you know? I'd rather hear from people I grew to really like once in a blue moon, holidays or whatever, than not at all. :-)

"I'll out myself and my secret identity - I'm the mod of tubetopwop."

I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

Shannon said...

Zoo it is good to *see you.

Since Margo is making confessions I will too.

I am so totally boring and unimportant. It is sad really but I like it that way LOL

And like Lisa I too dont mind some good drama and ugliness once in a while so long as it doesnt get out of hand ya know. And I too do miss the days of OHIH, they were fun in a weird twisted kinda way :)

I think the thing with all this stuff lately that just confuses the bejebers outta me is why people area so hell bent on 'outting' people either through sleuthing or through the dreaded IP address. Hell it just gets so lame sometimes reading it all.

Lisa said...

I just don't get the IP address thing at all. Who cares? But I'm finding this whole deal as to who is really who sort of interesting as I begin to realize who really *is who. I don't mean their real names, but names they went by on OHIH and all...that's getting interesting. :-D

Shannon said...

Oh yes that part is interesting indeed Lisa. It is *fun seeing people popping out all over who were from back in the day and such

Shannon said...

And ya know I kinda chuckle when people do searches and stuff on people's real names...now sure my email comes up in searches but I searched myself and none of the people that came up are even close to being me LOL

zookeeper said...

Hi Shannon! *waves* I have to admit I'm kinda boring and unimportant too. But get the right group of boring and unimportant women (and the occasional man?) and we have had some fun as various groups. But the WOP stuff? I have completely lost the plot - I cannot follow what/who is doing what anymore. The "anon @ 5.50" style of referring to each other is too damn confusing. I like that people have user names - OF COURSE we make them up. Think I'm called zookeeper in real life? Its MRS Zookeeper actually.

Shannon said...

*gasps*

I thought that your first name really was Zoo and your real last name was Keeper??!!!!

Shannon said...

So got an alert on my phone this morning about Casey Anthony. Apparently DCF has found that she did not protect Caylee.

Is that a news flash to anyone else??? I mean HELLO they child died!! Obviously she wasnt being protected.

Anonymous said...

Hello Daisies! I haven't posted in forever and a day but I check in to read when I can. Work is still insane - we're in the middle of a merger and everyone (including me) is short-tempered and worried that we won't have a job in a few months. Sucks.

Anyway, I think some of you are familiar with Zuzu and her nuttiness. She had a post the other day that included the infamous Wendy and Dr. Phil video. Just thought some of you who missed the...uh...opportunity(?) to know a little about Won might want to see it. I miss the OHIH days too - I lurk at MWOP when I have a chance but I don't much want to get involved in posting much there. Hope all the Daisies are doing okay!

Jae, hi!! Oh, it's so good to see you. :-))

Szuszanna cracks me up and I love her. Not for that, just in general. She's such a funny, interesting woman, even though I don't think she really intends to be funny much of the time. I'm going to have to go defend N., though. Seriously. I don't like people saying bad about him, not knowing the whole story. This is be interesting.

Oh damn...Just went and read that and the comments.....OH HELL NO!!!

Honestly I dont think it is right to take that video and base judgments without knowing the things that were going on behind it.

Was he right to hit his mom? No I dont think he was but I can only imagine how much hurt and frustration he had built up inside of him that lead up to that point.

I don't know if my comment was published yet, but I explained this in it and defended him. It makes me so sad that people see him in that light, not knowing the shit he's dealt with.

Oh, I agree with you, AP, and with you, Shannon. Zuzu is definitely interesting, even though I disagree with just about everything she believes. Still...I give her credit for taking the heat and not giving a crap what people think about her. Geez - I haven't even read the comments past the first couple that were posted when I first saw the post. I should have done that. I'm going to read those now - no, not right to slap his Mom - but I truly feel bad for that little boy. (Well, probably not so little anymore - that video was a few years ago.) He's not a monster by any means. Poor kid. He's had too much to deal with in his young life.

I don't know, Shannon, I'm thinking here but maybe it is time we put those videos up here, post a link to this place in the comments on the videos on youtube and get the whole story out there, for *him, to make people understand what N. has dealt with...what do y'all think?

Lisa said...

Jae, what do you think about this idea...all of you reading. We don't have to give a link to her blog or anything that might expose where to find them or whatever...we can protect N.'s privacy, I think. I won't do it without a fair amount of input, though. And please, risk the whole IP deal and make a fake name up, if you must. I give you my word I won't tell anyone. Hell, I probably won't even look. If you think you don't trust me on that, remember what a jackass I'll look like if I tell after giving my word. I'm just thinking if we do this, we need people from even way back into OHIH to give their take on it all, too. So, thoughts, everyone?

oh that video makes me cry. really, truly makes me cry. that poor child

Lisa said...

Zoo, isn't it awful? He was so goddamned exploited there by both his mom and Dr. Phil that it makes me literally feel ill when I watch it. But to see it, not knowing the background and W's instability, a person would think N. was awful. It's so unfair to him.

Shannon said...

Lisa you already know my stance I am sure. I mean I am sorry but people keep using that video and saying what a horrible child N is and even what a horrible mother she is but those same people dont have a clue about the background that lead up to that moment.

Hell I dont even blame Wendy at that point in time...now since they are still so much in that same place yes. But people dont seem to understand the stress that was in their lives, the hurt, the anger, the stuck.

Well...just off the top of my head...and after working 10 hours, who knows how well I'm thinking...but I don't have any problem at ALL trusting you, AP, with regard to IP addresses, etc. And anybody who does (IMO), doesn't know jack about you.

I do think it might be a good idea. N's side of this story is just as important (and just as valid) as Won's side. People who were around for OHIH know way more than they want to know about Won and the way she played with the feelings of people who really cared about her. How she manipulated them. Has she played with and manipulated N's feelings too? I don't know. I think it's likely, whether due to immaturity or ignorance or whatever.

I have sympathy for anyone who has lost a child - but I also know this - having lost a child myself - you do NOT take out your grief and frustration and anger on your living children. That's not acceptable at all. And you can't live solely in that grief.

When my son died and since, my main concern has been being strong and extra loving to my living children. Making sure they KNOW that even though I am sad that their brother died, that THEY are just as important to me - and their lives are what I need to focus on as much as possible now. Even on days when I didn't feel I could handle one more thing - I did - because that's what a Mom does. (I won't claim to be Super Mom and never fail in that - but it's not often - not even when the grief was pretty darn fresh.) And I know people handle grief in different ways. I understand that completely. But I've often felt that Won could not (or would not) focus on N and the wonderful blessing of HIS life. That, I don't understand.

Time for me to find some dinner, shower and lie down. I'm beat with a stick! Whatever you decide, AP, I'll support you. I hope this makes sense. I really am very, very tired right now!

Shannon said...

Jae that is exactly how I feel too. That is one reason stuck is always the word that comes to mind for me. She is stuck in what she lost instead of living what she still has.

Lisa said...

And, with Jae's words, I say the hell with it...I'm doing it. What she said hit home and I cried, dammit. If nothing else, maybe some day N. will find it and know a lot of people out here "got" it and cared. Understood. Tried to protect him in the only way we knew how. Wendy, I know you lurk here...you know I could have done this long before now out of spite, but I didn't. Now, though, it's not out of spite. It's out of a bunch of moms' love and protection for a kid who needs both. I'll tell y'all when the post is up.

The new post is up. This was a hard one, but I feel like it's the right thing to do now, after Zsuzsanna's post. And hopefully I spelled her name right this time.
