A kind PSA reminder

So as you may have noticed the weather is beginning to take that turn from being bright and sunny to being cloudy and wet. This time of year also means that it takes longer for the sun to actually come up and the sun goes down earlier.

You may be wondering what this has to do with any kind of a PSA......well here you go

Is it before 8am?

Are the clouds sleeping close to the road? You know that pesky fog stuff?

Is it raining?

Is it snowing?

Is it intermittently raining and such?

Has the freaking sun gone down over an hour ago??

Well how about this......TURN ON YOUR FREAKING HEADLIGHTS!!!!!!!!!

Yes those handy dandy little things that can be turned on generally by finding the on switch right there on the left hand side of the steering column...unless you have some silly push button thing on the right hand side.

Everyone else on the road who has their lights on during these times is not being silly....yes they can see just fine.....what they are doing is making sure that idiots like you can see them. It sure would be nice to see you too especially since you are going to be pissed as hell if I hit you because you made the decision to not turn your lights on and thus made yourself nearly invisible to me.

So please remember as we watch the weather turn from fun in the sun to the often wet and foggy fall, turn your headlights on or stay the f**k home!!!

Yeah if you cant tell I have been having fun here in Oregon with the rain and wet roads and idiots who seem to think that I can see them. GRRRR

Just wait till I do the PSA for the elderly!!

Shannon said...

And obviously I did the wrong sign in LOL

Margo said...

Shannon - good PSA. One thing I remember they said in Drivers Ed is watch for cars not headlights. People are often dumb and don't think about turning them on for bad weather.

Tammi - no meat sharing from my house either :)

CNN announced today "Recession that started in December 2007 ended in June 2009, making it longest since WWII, group says". It ended in June 2009 - does that mean we are in a depression now because I sure as hell don't think the recession is over!

Deb said...

Shannon - thanks for the PSA and I love it! I turn on my headlights any time I'm in the car.
How are you?

Shannon said...

I am good Deb. I think the days of my husband being at work for 16+ hours a day may be over....I think the last of the stuff for the wedding heads out today WOOT!!

I am a big one for turning my headlights on whenever I am in the truck....I know it doesnt help me to see but it does make it easier for others to see me (even if I am big and green LOL)

I see so many people driving around in their grey and black cars without headlights in the rain and fog and wonder if they dont realize that they match perfectly into the road? Then the last couple of nights picking Josh up well after the son has gone down there are people driving around without their lights on....I almost turned right into one because it was on a stretch of road where there arent many lights.

Shannon said...

HMMMM

Margaret I wonder if that means we are in a depression too.....My state still has an almost 11% unemployment rate right now and that is only counting those who are currently on unemployment not those who have run out of benefits.

Margo said...

Personal question - just say bugger off if you don't want to answer it. How long have you been on unemployment and is it continuous or does it stop and then pick up again?

Shannon said...

I was able to draw unemployment for a year. I think that with some of the extensions and stuff you can stay on even longer now. I stopped getting it right after Josh started working. I have known some who have been on unemployment for over 2 years which I just dont get. Personally I would rather be working I hate being home all day long. But like with everything there are always those types who sit and do nothing.

TxMissie said...

I am so glad that 99% of cars here have headlights that come on when the motor is started.IT is actually illegal to drive with out them on

Margo said...

I hope you can find something soon. I know you want to get out there and work. I do not understand the sit and do nothing types either.

Hi Missie!

Margo said...

I saw a commercial last night for a new TLC reality show called Sister Wives. It bothers me that they are making a show out of something that is illegal. What's next - Crack House Home and Gardens?

Deb said...

Margo - they are running of out reality topics, I wish the networks would stop trying to go after goofy, shock value, and just find value, you know?

Shannon said...

Missie I wish it was illegal here. It is so dumb to me that they can pass laws about texting and smoking and all that crap while driving but something as simple as requiring headlights when weather demands it is just dumb dumb dumb

I am about over this no hair washing thing. I am not going to get any complements anytime soon on my current do.

We found out we are now able to get high speed internet without having to have a land line, so my husband ordered it last Monday and it was supposed to be on Thursday. I called Friday to have the phone shut off and specifically if the new internet was on. He shut it all off, so we were without phone, internet, and TV from Friday till yesterday evening. They are such dumbasses.

Shannon said...

Oh I love when they are so smart like that....it is so nice when you tell them do this if this has happened and they just do this without even checking....stupid people.

Tammi said...

Here if you have to put on your wipers you have to put on your lights. It's a law.

Ok, off topic...

I am finally getting our media/home theatre room finished. It just need the decor part. I am ordering some posters of movies we love and I am going to make frames out of chair railing. I also ordered a neon sign that says our name, etc for the door outside. I am thinking of buyng one stanchions...those theatre rope thingys....to section off the room. It should look pretty cool. Above the theatre screen I want to put some quotes of movies. Here is my question. What are you favorite movie quotes? Ones that are memorable. I know I can google, but thought I would see what you guys have.

Margo said...

Sounds VERY cool!

"If you build it they will come"
"Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeela"
"So it's sorta social, demented and sad, but social"
and finally,
"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"

Shannon said...

"Toto I dont think we are in Kansas anymore"
"Get out of the water!!!"
"This isnt a movie this is real life"
"You had me from hello"

Lisa said...

"What's next - Crack House Home and Gardens?"

I'd watch that!

Movie quotes...hmmm.

Gotta think on that since most I like you'd not want on your wall, I don't think.

I am so not good at these movie quote things.

It's been a month since the no hair washing. I just threw in the towel and washed my hair. Then I discovered with are out of shampoo. Guess hubby forgot to tell me that. I was able to scrape enough out of the bottom of the bottle for a good scrub though. Ahhhhh.

I received a letter today from The Food Bank thanking US for our donation. The letter said they have delivered over 200,000 lbs of food from their mobile pantry since May 1. I know our government and especially BP would like us to think the crisis is over, but it isn't. So thank you, vile ones!

Tammi said...

lisa....love RHPS!

Kaytie..that could be good too! I need to start narrowing it down...the lady comes in a week to start. so many!

and hello!!

Shannon said...

So I have to say that I am hating that looking for work is a lot harder then actually having work. Why cant you just skip the whole looking part and waiting and just start a job?

LOL

Yes that is where my life is being spent a lot of the time right now....combing all the job service sites and ads and emailing, mailing, and hand delivering resumes hoping that just one of them will call and tell me that they want me to start tomorrow.

Lisa said...

Catching up...Tammi, let us know which ones you choose, will you? The room sounds like such a fun place!

I have a cold. That said, I've scrubbed my house from top to bottom today and paying homage to my cold, I've used old fashioned Pine-Sol since it reminds me of a sick room. I also have potato and broccoli soup cooking. It smells disgusting in here with that combination.

Let's see...Florida overturned the ban on gay adoptions yesterday and it might actually remain overturned. That? Is amazing, beautiful, wonderful, heartening and hopeful, all wrapped into one. :-)

They just announced on the local weather that we need to start preparing for a TS/hurricane named Matthew, as it looks like it might head our way. Ruh-roh! I wish I had a wonderful husband on hand to put plywood on my windows. Only then they'd be OUR windows and that idea defeats the entire purpose on so many levels. Plus, he'd be a boy. I'll do it myself, if need be. You ready, Melissa?

Jake is in Gainesville for a week, starting last night, visiting friends. I miss him. Not miserably, just normal, but I miss him.

Lisa said...

Oh, and good luck on the job search, Shannon! I agree - looking for a job is worse than working it.

KaytieJ said...

Lisa is Rockin' with the Pine Sol and Tool Belt!
Stay safe Lisa and Melissa.

Tammi - another one for you. This one is so right on so many levels.

"We will not go quietly into the night" Independence Day

Your room sounds like it will be such a fun place to be. Enjoy!

Shannon - Job hunting sucks. Wishing you the best in your job search.

KaytieJ said...

Lisa - Honestly, I am stunned that Florida overturned that decision. There is hope!

Shannon said...

Lisa that is freaking awesome that they overturned the decision. What a big step because dammit loving homes are so often hard to come by for some of those kids that are out there, why limit who can love them.

Lisa said...

Oh, yes, there's hope now! Look ,I've never denied that I think the ideal family for any kid, adopted or not, is a married couple with one male and one female. Also ideally of the same race as the child they adopt. But this isn't a perfect world and the ideal situation doesn't even occur in biological families...sometimes what we get isn't *best but it's what we've got and it can be incredibly good. I've never understood why it's okay for hard-to-adopt children to float around in the system, how that's better for them than a home with two moms or two dads. Or even just one mom or dad who happens to be gay. This could still be overturned, but I've got a feeling it won't be this time. :-)

Melissa said...

I heard about Matthew on the radio while on my way to work this morning. Nope, I'm not the least bit ready. We're heading to Wal-Mart tonight so I'll grab a bunch of water, etc. I stay pretty stocked up on candles, hurricane lamps/oil and canned goods. I'll just need batteries and water, I think.

Margo said...

Hi ladies. I did not know that FL had a ban on gay adoptions. With so many kids needing parents I think that is just plain dumb.

I read this morning that Cameron Crowe and Nancy Wilson are getting divorced. For some odd reason that makes me sad.

Melissa - do you make special hurricane cakes?

Melissa said...

Margo-I haven't made a special hurricane cake before but I may take this opportunity to start. :)

Tammi said...

I agree on the adoption thing..every kid needs a home. Gay, straight, whatever!

Hurricanes...that would freak me out!!!

Shannon...looking for work does suck! Especially when you need a job job. Not just some extra money from McD's or something.

Lisa..sorry you are sick! And I hate, hate, hate the smell of Pine Sol! LOL!! You are right, it's like a sickness smell or something.
And when I finally get the room done I will take some pics. It will be at least another month or so. Now we are picking out movie posters. I think we might just divorce over this! LOL!

Margo...I read that. First off, had no idea they were married, yeah, after 24 years...couldn't you work it out? It's not like there is anything better out there. You know?

Muliebrity said...

Margaret, I felt kind of the same way when I heard Eddie Vedder and his wife Beth Liebling divorced. I was seriously disappointed when he got with some model. A rock star and a model? So typical. Yawn.

Tammi said...

Rock star and model..typical..but can you blame him? LOL If I had the choice between plain Joe or Bradly Cooper you can bet your butt I would be all over Bradley! LOL

Lisa said...

Who is Bradley Copper? Yes, I know I could google but I'd rather show my ignorance. ;-)

Melissa, I wonder if you could take the basic components of a Hurricane drink and translate that into cake form?

How is everyone?

Muliebrity said...

I am sick! I have completely lost my voice and feel like shit on a stick, but no fever or anything. Blah.

Lisa said...

Mulie, it was probably the shampoo...

Shannon said...

I get to stay home today with a sick kid....good times.

Had an awesome weekend though hope everyone else did.

Sorry you are sick Mulie.

Margo said...

Sh on a sick - ewww. Hope you feel better.

I've got some kind of cold/allergy thing brewing. I'm hoping that I'm not allergic to Hannah's hamster.

Shannon said...

That would be no good Margo.....allergies and pets do not go well together.

I used to have ferrets...loved the little buggers but after a year I had developed a horrible allergy to them and it got so bad that I couldnt go anywhere near them.....thankfully one of my friends had just bought a new house, already had a ferret, and had created a room just to have him in...my babies got to go to a fabulous home.

Margo said...

I know I'm allergic to animals but I didn't think I could be allergic to something that's about the size of a lemon.

Shannon said...

Margo I didnt know that a BABY Guinea Pig could cause me to swell up like a balloon either :) They were about the size of a hamster. I thought that my ferrets caused a bad reaction until I was nuzzling and cuddling these baby GPs that came into the shelter once...they had to send me home because I looked like I had been beaten LOL

Muliebrity said...

Ugg. Still sick. My voice is kind of back, but each day this stuff moves to a new phase. Today is drainage day. I am limited on meds I can take, but made some homemade cough meds from honey and onion. Any other home remedies? Still no fever, and I feel bad, just not bad enough where I need to be in bed. I haven't been getting any sleep anyway. Yawn. ::CoughCough::

Robin in Montana said...

Mulie - the ol' hot water, lemon, honey, ginger and brandy/whiskey deal? Sorry you're feeling cruddy.

Maybe some cheese and crackers?

Muliebrity said...

Going to panko bread some trout. Can I deep fry or should I just pan fry?

Lisa said...

Mulie, how did you ind up frying it? I always pan fry but mostly because I'm too lazy to dig out the deep fryer.

How is everyone?

Shannon said...

Hello girlies......I am sad to say that yesterday my internet life was pretty near non existent LOL. I tried to be around but I got to have one of those GD fevers that isnt much but is enough to suck the life out of you.

But today is a better day and I am feeling more like my normal self.

I have always wanted to make my own fish n chips but I never have....I imagine it is pretty easy isnt it? I dont normally cook fish because not many in my household like fish but I love me some deep fried fish LOL

Muliebrity said...

It was a mostly pan fried. I just put a bunch of Crisco in a deep cast iron pan. The first batch were so pretty, but the rest got very brown panko from the previous pieces on it. It was very tasty though.

Lisa said...

It sounds good, Mulie. I swear by panko as a breading on most anything. You feeling better?

Shannon said...

I love panko breading. I have been playing around with making my own kind of batter as well lately and discovered the trick to really crispy stuff...for every cup of flour I use or breading I ad about 1/3 to 1/4 a cup of corn starch.

Muliebrity said...

I don't really feel better yet. Every day the symptoms change a little, so I know it's working it's way out, but I still feel terrible. I haven't been sleeping well, so I am tired and drained. I tried the netti pot today and am going to make some ginger and green tea. No fever still and I am breathing fine, so it just needs to work itself out.
Someone suggested drinking my own breast milk. Maybe I can get some mommy bloggers to send me some? ;-)

Shannon said...

EWW Mulie maybe you can contact JM and see if she has any just laying around for ya :)

Anonymous said...

You could also drink your own urine...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine_therapy

Shannon said...

OH you guys are getting me....all this bodily fluid consumption *shuttering*

Lisa said...

Gawd, I'd rather be sick over drinking breast milk, whether mine or someone else's. That literally gave me a cold chill.

Lisa said...

Shiiiiiiiiiit, I'll accept my fate and dehydrate before I drink urine.

KaytieJ said...

- gone for days and I come back to drinking body fluids!

Shannon said...

it is all so YUCKY!!!!!!

Margo said...

Good morning ladies.

Mulie, who the heck suggested drinking breast milk?

Muliebrity said...

"Mulie, who the heck suggested drinking breast milk?"

The same crazy-ass lactivists who told me breastfeeding my baby after taking versed was better than feeding her formula because "breast milk has never killed a child, but over 9,000 babies die each year from formula."

Crazy hippies.

Margo said...

So what do you think of JM's cancer *scare? I think she's full of it and a real b-i-t-c-h for even putting that out there.

Shannon said...

Margo it really ticks me off. Cancer is a serious thing and if this is another one of those exaggerated and blown up things with her I am going to Minnesota to kick her in the CANT!!

Margo said...

Apparently she's had this thing since her daughter was born? I guess her high risk OB didn't pick it up... She really is a dramawhore for clicks.

Margo said...

CANT kicking in the frozen tundra!

Shannon said...

Yeah I sort of read her post...but god as we all know the woman will use 3000 words to say HUH? LOL.

She has had this sitting there for years and they just brush it off and brush it off and now suddenly at least 2 children later, and 2 c-sections later, she may have cancer?

She just irritates me sometimes and I dont even care that much about her anymore LOL

And I wonder if you kick a CANT in the frozen tundra does it shatter?

Deb said...

I can/can't believe JM would stoop so low to mess with the big C scare.

Margo said...

Perhaps you've created a new sport - CANT kicking could be a sideline game at the next Iditarod.

Margo said...

Deb - it's lower than low. Just a few days ago JM is crying and flailing on the floor about Matthew's dead mother. What a jerk!

Shannon said...

It could be a fun sporting event LOL so long as you are only a kicker :)

And you know that she would have to do something big to get the attention back on her...I mean Matthew can only have the attention for so long.

Margo said...

Sandy needs to check out martha stewart's website. Martha has a new tab for meatless recipes. HBL can gently grill the veggies he waters while Sandy stands by and weeps.

Deb said...

I have no words for JM, I'm sure she'll come out of this "scare" since she has a direct line to God and she is blessed.

Shannon said...

Deb I am sure as the mother of the most prayed for baby ever she is going to have her own miracle...maybe this time without any medical intervention?

Margo said...

Did you all see the Google header today - very cool. It's the 50th Anniversary of the Flintstones.

Lisa said...

I saw that about the Flintstones. I used to LOVE them and had no idea they were older than I am! That made me feel good. :-)

As for JM, from what I've seen, the most common form of working up a good blog barrage is to talk cancer. Let's be real - cancer is a big money-maker in the mommy blog world, either via clicks or donations. I'm not buying it for a moment and having a friend who is an ovarian cancer survivor and *she lost a dear friend to it, I'm not even remotely amused.

Shannon said...

I agree Lisa. I dont give a crap who you are or think you are cancer is not something to be thrown around lightly. I have lost people I love to that crap.....I mean hell 3 members of my dad's side of the family have died in the last 10 months from cancer. If she doesnt have a real true concern going on where they remove everything she has got in baby making goods she needs to be nailed to the wall.

PJ said...

No kicking my CANT. Okay?

And it's not the Frozen Tundra. It's the Plains.

Shannon said...

LOL

Fine CK be that way!!! And it may be Plains where you live but we all know that where the Mcks live is the frozen tundra!!!

Lisa said...

Did it finally die?

Muliebrity said...

Did what die? JM's cant?

Lisa said...

Lol, no but I think her blog is about to.
I meant Daisy, though. Boy, that's something about BlogHer dropping her, isn't it? Her shit finally caught up with her.

Margo said...

How did blogher support her anyway? I know she has private people post adds on her blog.

Shannon said...

I couldnt believe it when I saw that BlogHer dropped JM....she who can do no wrong and even from her post it made it sound like she did no wrong. And honestly I think that whoever outed her deserves a serious pat on the back. The one thing that people who have turned into her 'naysayers' have been saying for the last year and a half or so has been BE HONEST!! She still isnt being honest. To err is human, to steal the work of other people for your own benefit and ultimate profit is criminal. She is very lucky that she isnt facing charges to be honest. Plagiarism isnt just something that is some kind of a petty hey you stole my words kind of thing. It can have very serious penalties and she has finally discovered that she can to do wrong and receive the same punishment that anyone else in the 'real' world would.

Margo said...

As soon as JM is backed into a corner she starts screaming Jesus - she really is a loser!

Lisa said...

What killed me was that she even lied like hell in her "flawed" post, saying it was a one time thing. MWOP proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it wasn't a one time thing. That takes some balls, having proof of what you did right out there in public and you still lie to people's faces about it.

Margo, a lot of her ads were the BlogHer ones where she got paid per click. From what I understand, that's where her biggest profits came from, not the private ads. And after this fiasco, how many private people are really going to want to pay much to advertise with her?

Margo said...

So she won't get paid anymore for clicks?

Shannon said...

I believe that now she is no longer going to be paid by clicks.

What is really really really sad and it is her own stupid ass fault. She could have avoided all of what she has received way back in the freaking day. If she would have actually allowed people to have a voice and ask her honest questions instead of poo pooing them away, deleting their questions/comments, and ultimately banning them for daring to question. This is all her own doing and she made it this way.

She made people question more and question harder. She created places like OHIH and MWOP. She made those who were denied a voice join together in an effort to find it. She made it so they came together with their own individual questions which turned a mole hill into a mountain. She pissed people off by her Jesus loves me and God made me this way so I am already forgiven and better then any of you.

She wouldnt have all this shit falling on her head if she would have just been honest in the first place. But then even when she has nothing has ever been her fault because she can do no wrong.

Margo said...

The good news is we would not have met if not for JM so it's a win for us - lol

Lisa said...

Agreed, Margo! And Shannon is right, she's made it this way. Or Jesus has. ;-) I admit to being fascinated by people who still support her, though.

Shannon said...

Yes Margo I will thank her very much so for being who she is because we all were able to meet :)

Lisa I think you are right Jesus wanted to make sure she remembered she was flawed and there are repercussions. What is freaking hilarious about some of her followers is that they are so behind her for this but when others that are known to them had this happen to them they were livid.

Oh lordy - I've never known AP to hide under another name - what's your excuse Mary?

I love the peace dude playing the air guitar!

Shannon said...

ROFLMAO that is funny ass shit right there....."Mary" is a smart one. Obviously Mary doesnt want to see the daisy die.

Shannon said...

Have I ever mentioned how I love the big bad brave 'anon' posters? Yes they have balls the size of grapefruits, yes they do.

Lisa said...

See, now I feel all driven to make a movie because I'll own my work. Hmmmm, who should be the star...?

Margo said...

Maybe Jello is JM - she's looking for a new career.

Shannon said...

LOL I could see JM starting up her own movie career.....she has to do something now :)

Lisa said...

Is there any way to make a living serving as a bad example?

Margo said...

I think her hardcore followers are probably a lot like her - people who do what ever they want and then go to communion to *cover it.

Shannon said...

Well as I see it she has already dont that but got busted now she has to find something else to do.

Let's see....she was a teacher, a wife, a mother to more children then anyone, an abused wife, the mother of a miracle, miraculously cured of cancer, the great forgiver, a victim or unwarranted hate, a plagiarizer, a flawed and therefore unaccountable child of God, gosh so many things she has already done in her life.

Lisa said...

Does anyone else keep getting a "Service Unavailable 503" thing here? It's making me nuts. Grrr.

Shannon said...

I havent gotten that message but it is horrible that you are so unavailable for service :(

Margo said...

Don't forget long distance liquid gold squirter. I've heard they are adding that to the Olympics line-up.

Shannon said...

How could I forget about the liquid gold squirting DAMMIT

Lisa said...

I wish I could put liquor in my boobs. It would be so handy in movie theaters and such. *nods*

And with that tidbit, I'm outta here for awhile. I need to go plan the next thing I'm going to do to save Daisy. :-D

Shannon said...

HAHAHAHA yes Lisa you must do that because dammit the Daisy must be saved and it is all up to you :)

Margo said...

Shall we have a save the daisy yard sale?

been busy 'round here.

twirldawg said...

Margo I don't think that anyone from the other community posted that link. I think there are some people out there left over from the OHIH days that lay in wait just to fuck with us when they see an opportunity.

"passive aggressive butt plug drive-by gang is alive and well."

I wonder if you can recognize a butt plug gang member if you saw them on the street? Do you think they wear a certain color? My guess would be orange.

Margo said...

Taiya - I am A. Hole the super sleuth, I admit to nothing more.

Waving to Jill and Bambi :)

or it could be possible that someone stole my identity and is posting as me.

It is possible you know?

Shannon said...

Kristin I still dont know how to go about stealing an identity dammit!!! no it wasnt me!!!

Margo said...

I'm going to fess up, I'm really a dentist, I like to scuba dive, I have a niece named Darla and I live at 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney.

twirldawg said...

kristin you should alert the authorities, identity theft is a serious crime.

Margo did you recently purchase a clown fish for said niece? Oh, you might want to warn her not to lick the fish.

Margo said...

JM is now trying to play the I'm persecuted because I'm a Christian card - really? She makes me want to vomit. The reason why people have taken her to task is not because she's a Christian - it's because she is a liar. BIG difference.

Margo said...

As a matter of fact, I found a clown fish on my last reef dive. I'm going to give it to Darla when she visits next.

kristin said...

I speak whale Margo :)

Margo said...

I just ordered chinese for my family because I stayed online all day and did not prepare a Sunday feast. Go me.

Lisa said...

A girl leaves for a bit, has herself some shit on a shingle and look what happens. She misses all the fun. ;-)

JM is taken to task not because she's a Christian but because she's a piss-poor Christian. It's pathetic she's not figured that part out yet. What's happening with her now makes you realize that God does, indeed, work in mysterious ways and Karma is probably one of them.

"And we all know AP would never ever ever ever hide under another name. Right!"

Oh, no, I have many times. Why would I lie about that? Remember when we all changed our identities and hid our profiles? I wish I could confess to being a dentist down under, too, but alas! I cannot.

"or it could be possible that someone stole my identity and is posting as me.
It is possible you know?"

According to Tina, it is.

Margo, want some leftover SOS to throw at 'em?

Margo said...

If the food does not come soon I'm going to be the SOS - we usually eat around 5 or 5:30 - these people are not happy!

Karen said...

Evening ladies. Don't come to Daisy for a while and you see it almost dies... and then is brought back to life by some Jello fun!!

That makes me want Jello shots!!

I'm glad its active here - I love reading here and being entertained!!

Margo - hope your fam got their food!
Lisa - how can you eat SOS? uggh!
I'm warming up leftover pizza...

Lisa said...

What's wrong with SOS? I even made homemade biscuits. Jeeez, you've obviously never tasted mine to ask that. And hi!!

Margo said...

Well the food never came so we had chicken noodle soup and crackers - boo!

Lisa said...

Well, that was a letdown. They took your order and never showed?

KaytieJ said...

I love SOS. One of my staples in college - besides pork and beans and beer. Did I mention beer?

KaytieJ said...

And where the heck did Tammi go? Overload on the movie quotes? :-D Can't wait for the pics.

BTW - looks like Sunday Brunch on Daisy. Jello, Bloody Marys, No Sho Chinese, SOS and Sushi.

Margo said...

Waving to KJ.

They never came so I called and cancelled - then they showed up about 1/2 hour later. Apparently they get very busy during the Redskins games.

Lisa said...

"BTW - looks like Sunday Brunch on Daisy. Jello, Bloody Marys, No Sho Chinese, SOS and Sushi."

Lol, that was good.
So, Margo, you got Chinese after all?

Mulie, how's everyone feeling?

Margo said...

Nope, by then we were eating soup.

Muliebrity said...

"Mulie, how's everyone feeling?"

I think today is day 11 or 12 and I am *almost feeling better. So close. I infected my mom last weekend, so she is to the no voice phase, but at least she can take the good meds. Thanks for asking, Lisa. I need to feel better because I have so much to catch up on around here. There is much laundry to be folded and I think it is finally safe to put the shorts away. We were down in the 40's last night.

Muliebrity said...

Have you seen this video of your boyfriend yet, Lisa?

Mulie, I'm glad you're doing almost better and hope your mom is soon.

I still think Israel is cute as hell but then again, I've always liked the gay boys so there is *that. Boy, a body language expert could have a field day with this, couldn't they? :-D He's still really cute, though.

Margo said...

Good morning gals.

At the risk of being called A. Hole again - JelloChavez posted another video...

Shannon said...

Good morning Daisies........

So funny thing happened this morning. Apparently a certain someone who likes to accuse me of things on other sites but never has the balls to talk to me right out here has a new post on her blog.

Apparently people are thinking that I am involved in her new post somehow as a result of a few emails in my mail this morning.

Apparently someone has apologized to her for their bullying.

Apparently someone named "Shannon" apologized and said this: "I would just like to say I am sorry for everything I have said." Now I have not visited her stupid blog as she is probably just trying to get attention from me and get me to interact with her on her blog.....I must say PISH at that one.

I just need to make sure that the record is set and you all know that it was NOT me on her site apologizing to her and she can kiss my bony white ass for real.

Now I will say that this could possibly be some entirely different "Shannon" who is apologizing to her and that is all fine and good, bow down to the twat I dont care. But if she is trying to pull her crap of talking to herself on her blog to make it look like it is me then I will be needing to set the record straight.

And perhaps she has stolen my identity and has me saying nice things to her over the internet since she seems to want us, that have seen her be so nasty, to believe is that hers was stolen but even now she is still a bitch......I own my bitch. I know I am one and I could give a shit. I dont have to make up stories about some internet stalker stealing my online ID to cover my ass.

Margo said...

Waving to Shannon.

IM is he starting a career as a writer to fill his *downtime? Yikes...

KaytieJ said...

IM looked like he wanted to cry.
Video wouldn't load all the way.
No double entendre meant.

Shannon said...

That video of IM is different.I got to watch it all....kinda gave me a headache. Too bad they didnt move the mic away from the table since he kept hitting it.

Lisa said...

'Morning, all!

"Apparently someone named "Shannon" apologized and said this: "I would just like to say I am sorry for everything I have said."

Well, it was a nice apology, anyway, no matter who did it. ;-)

The new video? Rofl, man alive, that was rough. I want to make one of someone but can't pick who.

Margo said...

"Video wouldn't load all the way. No double entendre meant". LOL

Lisa said...

I was thinking about something...we all know JM charges (charged?) a ridiculous amount for her photography and part of what I'm sure people felt they were getting for that price was her advanced knowledge and skill set in this field. I wonder if anyone who paid those rates now feels ripped off, knowing she really didn't have that knowledge but rather, was just cut and pasting it from others?

Shannon said...

Well ya know Lisa....I cant feel sorry for them as they have seen plenty of examples of her photography on her blog.....if you are willing to pay that kind of money for fuzzy shadow figures on a white background I guess that is your choice :) Or if you like the heads cut out of pics :)

Margo said...

I think you misunderstood - Satan was the one cutting and pasting.

Shannon said...

Margo I think it is funny that an invisible character gets to much blame for so many things....it is just so convenient.

Shannon said...

OK ladies I took the bait.....I went to Tina's blog. She has stolen my identity.....unfortunately she didnt do a very good job. Just so you all know I am blocked from posting on her blog as I did try to post a response to her....wow just amazing that a fake ME could post there though.

here is the whole post and "my" apology.

Forgiving.....
Have you ever had someone in your life who has wronged you?

Most of us have at one time or another....

I had the unfortunate experience to have crossed paths with someone online who was a bully. I tried to ignore this person....but she had a way of always having to have the last word.

Well it seems that she has had a change of heart for her actions and nasty words and she has come to my blog and said she was sorry..(it is in the comments of the last post on my blog)....so I am forgiving her.

What a way to start the week....I never saw this one coming!

Thank you for forgiving me.

Recently there have been a few who just liked to pot stir about stuff from OHIH. At one time that was me.

Now, I am taking personal accountability for my actions. This is not a half-assed apology. Does that make sense????

I think I just figured out why i have acted like such an ass. Perhaps now I will have the balls to stand up to the other girlies. They can suck the life out of you if you let them. I'm actually ticked off that I ever listened to them. They irritate me and I don't even care that much about them anymore LOL. I don't give a crap who they are or who they think they are. Being mean is just wrong and I'm done with all of it.

Thanks for saying you don't give a crap about me anymore...

Shannon said...

Well I have to tell ya Margo.....I have had these feelings for so long. Tina is the only one I truly care about....and definitely the only one from OHIH that I really wanted to stay connected with.....instead I got stuck with you life sucking bitches!!!

AND YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU!!!!

Shannon said...

I am just so irritated that someone tries to steal my identity and cant even make it sound like me?

FFS when has ANYONE seen me type/talk like that?

Margo said...

Did she use your avatar and everything? I'm not going there but the stat counter on your profile doesn't lie - she can't fake that.

Shannon said...

No there is no pic.....just my name linking back to my blog. All it is is a direct link right back to my blog....no profile page or anything.

Margo said...

Well that is just silly. Either she is commenting to herself or someone is trying to mess with both of you.

Muliebrity said...

Blogger is being an ass!

Anywho...that new video almost made me pee my pants! Very funny. The timing on those videos always makes me laugh.

Muliebrity said...

OT: So I know some of you here read NieNie. I checked her blog last week and something has been bothering me, and I kind of feel like an ass for brining it up. I have heard some people complain of their extravagance and I have brushed off those notions, since the poor girl was burned almost to death, so if she needs hair extensions, etc, to feel normal, then let her have them. BUT, it bothers me that her husband bought a sail boat.

Lisa said...

"I think you misunderstood - Satan was the one cutting and pasting."

My mistake. You're right, of course it is.

Mulie, I don't read NieNie so fill me in - what's wrong with her husband buying a sailboat?

Margo said...

Why does it bother you that her husband bought a sail boat?

Muliebrity said...

I really don't know why it bothers me. Maybe because they are gifted many things because of the medical situation. I have conflicted feelings about it. I really do. I feel like she must be in horrible physical and emotional pain all the time, so if having a boat gives her some relief from that, then I guess I really have no problem with it. Like I said, I'm conflicted.

Lisa said...

Well, are people gifting things to make her happy? Or are they doing it because NieNie and her husband talk about needing financial help?

Muliebrity said...

I don't recall her ever asking, but I know when she was almost dying and recovering, there were some funds set up to help with expenses. Now I think people just do it to be nice or for advertising. I am sure the things she receives really make her day though.

They are both from seemingly well off families though. Everyone had brand name everything, her sister bought her a house, they drive an Escalade, now own a boat, etc. Eh, I just find it all very interesting, probably because I was raised very differently.

You know what I like about her? She seems very sentimental and had a lot of neat traditions. I need some traditions with my kiddos.

Muliebrity said...

You know, they did have a lawsuit against the airport where the plane crashed, maybe they settled and got some money.

Margo said...

I can make you a paper sail boat if that helps :)

Muliebrity said...

I get sea sick and my husband hates water. We are not really boat people. I would like a motor home though.

Margo said...

I want to make one of those movies starring Liz - it's going to be very long and full of untruths.

Lisa said...

Mulie, I guess I'm stumped, then, as to why the sail boat bothers you. Jealousy, maybe. ;-D

Margo, you can't make a movie about Liz because they have no little kid characters...

Lisa said...

By the way, has anyone been messing with that movie place? Is there a way to make things zoom in and out, do you know?

Shannon said...

HA! Lisa I am just trying to actually get a movie made LOL

Margo said...

Oh heavens, can I put on some diapers before you two start cranking out films?

Lisa said...

Lol, I'm a far cry from cranking out films. Now I'm all frustrated since I tend to expect to be perfect with stuff the first time I do it and this just isn't. Ah, well, I have other talents.

Anyone do anything good for dinner tonight? I've got pork chops thawed but it's after 7 and I'm still not feeling inspired by them.

Lisa said...

<--Satan made me do this so it's okay.

I know it's probably wrong to be so amused, but I'm listening to Jane Velez-Mitchell's show and they're talking about a couple who duct-taped a toddler to a wall and I can't help it - it's funny to visualize. Oh, wait, I Googled and it *is funny! :-D

Amy said...

Satan has made me do a lot of things ;)

Lisa, you can zoom in by the auto angles something or other button, it looks like a movie camera, I think, towards the bottom of the page? I made a couple last week...pretty fun, but kind of a pita with everything else I should have been doing.

And hi everyone! :)

Amy said...

Mulie,

I saw a pretty cool black and red motor home/trailer/or something on craigslist recently...

Amy said...

Ahem...I made a movie about texas caviar. Ahem.
